Happy (late) Pride!!!

Ps. Lee was 6 years old when Big Mama rediscovered him. Before she found him, the staffs all refered to him as ‘the turtle’, ‘it’, or the occasional ‘she’ because of their only reference of turtle yokai, Frida, is female. When Mama had him examined, the doctor said he was assigned female. He was in the closet for about a couple year or so, and came out when he’s around 8. He’s currently 15 years old.

finally had a conversation with my parents where i was able to share my honest feelings about them and the way they raised me and also face up to some of the really shitty things i've done to them and the harm i've caused and everything i've kept hidden and let fester. and while we both said things that upset each other and it feels pretty fucking awful right now, and i don't think we'll ever have the ideal relationship that any of us wants, i don't regret it. i regret a lot of things about my life and the decisions i've made. but it was a discussion that needed to be had. and whatever happens now, whether we learn to compromise despite our differences and get closer or drift further apart until we're strangers to each other, i feel like i can maybe start to properly self reflect without any illusions or fears about myself holding me back and really grow as a person and make more meaningful decisions and changes in my life instead of just running and hiding from ever facing the future. i'm finally able to accept that i'm even less of a good or happy person than i let myself think i was. but i'm also not afraid to try to be myself anymore and figure out how to live.

Hello, Beetlejuice fans! ✨️

While listening to some of my favorite musicals from the past, I stumbled across this one in my YouTube recommended. I never really knew anything about Beetlejuice before listening to the musical, but one thing led to another, I fell down a rabbit hole-

Looking at fanart, I was inspired by other artists' interpretations of Beetlejuice to create my own! Specifically, I was inspired by @creaturologie and @shnikkles' designs! I love how both of these interpretations capture Alex Brightman's take on the character wonderfully! I'd be remiss if I didn't credit them properly!

Using both designs as reference, I wanted to give my take on Beetlejuice certain features that I would prefer to see him have, such as yellow demon eyes! I also wanted his design to ride the line between feeling human while not actually being human, as it was something that I had a massive debate over while I was researching the musical and the movie.

When it comes to Lydia's design, she is primarily based on her animated version, with her outfit coming from the musical! I really love how her animated design has a spider motif, so I wanted to carry it on here! She is also half-Mexican!

Lydia and Beetlejuice also have a significant height difference! Lydia is approximately 5'1" while Beetlejuice is 6'. I always got the impression that Beetlejuice would have a very intimidating presence around others. It's the impression I got while listening to the soundtrack, and I wanted it to be very evident in my take.

I considered making a full lineup of the cast, but I feel that would be too much for me at the moment, especially when I have so many other ideas that I would like to work on. I'm very happy that I took the time to make small reference sheets for these two, as I can see myself drawing them the most.

Joel - I want this man to win so badly, but I think he'll def get top four (plz don't fuck this up for me joel)

Etho - I also want him to win, but hes def top 3 and will have to fight cleo or bdubs or joel for first place

Cleo - genuine contender for first place, honestly girl deserves it, no further comment

Bdubs - bro either will lay down his life for etho or die by his blade, but I swear I'll go insane if he kills etho

Scott - since its the curse break season, he's not going to be top 3 (somehow) but still doing good

Gem - I love her and it'd be so cool for her to win her first game (esp after causing half the servers deaths), but I think she'll be 6th, probably betrayed

Impulse - I haven't seen much of him this season, but I hear he deserves a win, having been high placed a bunch

Scar - he is public enemy number one, so I just hope he lives longer than grian because that man has been PINING so hard (or mby killed by grian but hey optimism)

Grian - i NEED him dead before cleo and etho for curse break reasons. Mans needs to die before his allies for once

Tango - havent seen much of him, bros just been queering it up at the heart foundation from what I know, solid 10

Skizz - skizz has been bottom 3 too much, this is his redemption he's got this

Pearl - we need scarlet witch red life joel team up they'd be so damaging. She's been going pretty great this season, left the tower and all, so I just don't want her to die alone

Bigb - literally he's been so strange I honestly don't know. He might just throw a curve ball and win it. I would not put it past him. The backrooms will claim anyone who tries to mess with him

Martyn - ohohohoh I want this man FAILED he needs to fail a task and die because whats more poetic than the punishment

Mumbo - (already out, wanted him to do better but honestly didn't expect much hes not great at surviving)

Timmy - (MY BOY BEAT THE CANARY CURSE WOOO)

Lizzie - (latest victim of the canary curse)
