BFFR OP, it isn’t about which ship is “better,” it’s about whether a Sam Wilson fan can read the fic without seeing the most offensive shit they’ve ever seen in their life 🙄

I dont know, man. That post annoyed the fuck out of me lol. Yes, we know poly fics exist. And, yes, most of us actually like Sam, Steve, and Bucky. HOWEVER, most of us also know that most of those poly fics are really Stucky+Sam fics, and that’s why we don’t read them or wax poetic about them. So, instead of that tone death post, maybe be realistic for 5 seconds. Stickies don’t like Sam - unless he’s being the therapist, babysitter, punching bag, or magic negro. 99% of the time, that’s how they write him. Now why in the hell would a Sam fan want to read that, or be a party to that?

Nah, I’d much rather y’all just wrote your Sticky fics, leave Sam out of them, and call it a damn day. Y’all need to stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to - it would actually make us ALL happier.

steddie, but listen, i don't Like season 4 of stranger things. i think the plot/writing was bad actually, but. i stuck around for steve, because damn they're good at writing characters and i loved his seasons 1-3 arc. steve & eddie have incredible chemistry that everyone else has already talked about but listen bro. what if they were t4t.

frerard, but listennn its for the DYNAMICS. i feel like frerard fics have like, mythologized this pairing into something distinct from those real people that are alive and exist. they've lifted the personas and adpoted them onto some really incredible works of fiction... there are archetypes and characteristics and relationship dynamics that i see over and over and over again, always distinctly non-normative and queer, and god dammit it gets me ever time.

i'm struggling to come up with a third... i think The Batman (2021) Selina and Bruce. actually yes this one definitely. god i fucking love those two. my heart like actually ached when she left at the end.

This is going back a long time but I wanna say it was Stucky or Destiel that really had me first. which honestly i was right about that, those white guys have chemistry! i used to eat up post-winter soldier fics all the time and i always end up coming back to them. something about bucky on the run or holed up and scared as his memories struggle to come back, and then steve being the first person to be gentle with him. anyway

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. i think this is the first time I'm rereading the hunger games, and I'm so glad i picked it up over christmastime bc 1) i got sucked into it and finished it in like a day and a half; and 2) what an incredible fictional depiction of revolution. like katniss' character arc, the emphasis on solidarity and community over and over and over again, every detail adds so much.

Vine Deloria Jr.'s The World We Used to Live In, which is packed with American Indian stories on spirituality and medicine men. i only just started it but i'm clinging onto his words like they're air. which, in the busted concrete version of the world now, they might as well be.

1. What is your most popular fic?

ooh! so i'm going to base this off of kudos, and right now my most kudosed fic is imagine being loved by me, which is a fic i wrote for good omens! (honorable mention tho to my current steddie magnum opus, hand holding fic my beloved, bc it is getting closer and closer to upstaging this one and taking that #1 spot every day which is absolutely WILD to me!!!!)

4. Do you prefer writing multi-chapter or oneshot fanfictions?

definitely oneshots! oneshots are just so much easier to write for me! i would LOVE to be able to churn out multichaps! but i have a very very bad habit of coming up with a multichap idea and i either a. never make it past the plotting stage or b. start writing it, get a couple chapters in, then lose all motivation and totally abandon it. and the problem with that is, i Will Not post multichaps until i have them entirely finished (because the ONE time i posted a multichap before i finished it i never finished it, so it sits uncompleted, unfinished, abandoned (for now i keep telling myself) on my ao3 account, and that god damn fic HAUNTS ME EVERY SINGLE DAY IT REALLY DOES), so even if i write like half the fic, if i don't finish it it will never see the light of day slkgjd. so yeah, definitely oneshots lol

9. What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?

oh man, i have so many fics from so long ago too that i'm SURE i'm probably missing some good ones that i just can't remember lol, BUT. from the fics that i can remember lol:

one of my favorite lines from sloe gin fizzy, do it till your dizzy is "The kiss is honey sweet and molasses slow. It starts off a little tentative, a little unsure, just lips slotting together, Steve’s bottom lip fitting perfectly between Eddie’s. But then the pressure changes, increases, and Steve’s mouth falls open, just a little bit, just enough." idk what it is about it, but i just really love the "honey sweet and molasses slow" part of it.

i am also incredibly pleased with this line from that good omens fic i mentioned earlier, imagine being loved by me: "He pinches a nipple. Rolls it between his fingers. Stutters out another hot breath. His hips twitch. Aziraphale’s name sits hot and heavy on the back of his tongue." not to toot my own horn here or anything but toot toot i think it's a pretty damn sexy line so. lkgjsfs. i like what i did with the sentence structure as well lol.

and also favorite scenes! i wrote a fic a couple years ago for stucky, a little more light, that was jewish bucky and he invites steve over to celebrate hanukkah with his family, and that fic is so very special to me, it's so very personal, and my favorite scene that i wrote for it is the one in which the barnes' have steve join them while they light the candles on the menorah and they teach steve the prayers. it's just a lot of family feels and a lot of honoring traditions and a lot of love, a lot a lot of love. it was a very special scene to be able to write, so it holds a very dear place in my heart.

(also just like. every single scene in i want to hold your hand. that fic was just so so so much fun to write, i genuinely love the whole thing with my whole heart so. yeah. every scene kfsjglfs.)

according to my statistics page i have posted a total of 536,079 words on ao3! (and counting!!!)

14. Have you ever co-written a fic?

i suppose not, since technically nothing i've posted has ever been co-written. but that is not for lack of trying lol. i've had a few different friends who have wanted to co-write and we've tried, but it was just one of those things where we both sort of petered out so the fic never got finished.

but like it is totally definitely something i want to do at some point!!! i think co-writing could be so much fun if it's with the right partner and the right idea!!

15. Are there words, phrases, mannerisms or scenes you tend to use a lot?

ABSOLUTELY!! i know i've mentioned it on here before but i did notice that in a lot of my steddie fics i keep using the phrase "bright and buoyant" to describe the laughter (usually eddie's). which, yeah, makes sense, because eddie (and steve too!) deserve to feel light and happy and free to smile and laugh as big and as bright as they want!

i also make it a point to mentioned eddie's dimples in every single fic. usually more than once too lol. (also if it is an eddie pov fic i WILL find a way to mention steve's freckles/moles every single time as well.)

when it comes to mannerisms, i do find that i like to write dialogue that kind of start-stops for characters that are like nervous or unsure. like i end up using a looot of em dashes and ellipses and repeat a lot of words.

also, this is probably more of a stylistic choice, but i find that anaphora is perhaps my favorite literary device lmao. i do a lot of starting sentences the same way to Make A Point.

16. How long is your longest fic?

longest fic is let me know your future plans coming in at a whopping 59,042! this one was written for the stucky au big bang back in 2019!

okay, i'm going to rec a few because there are several that i have read and have subsequently not stopped thinking about ever at all.

(also i want u to know that if anyone else had asked this question i would absolutely 100% without a doubt be reccing your fics!!!!!!)

first, the summer of '85 series by @toedenandbackagain - there are currently 3 fics in the series and they are each absolutely incredible. it is THEE eddie and s3 scoops ahoy steve fic of all time!!!! the writing is exceptional, the story is fun and entertaining, the tension is delicious, the payoff is even sweeter, the dynamics are just so good. this series is, for real, everything to me!!

next, eddie's spectacular, awkward, very safe, very fun first time by @alligator-writes my beloved. this fic is. literally everything omg. it is a first time fic, with virgin eddie and first time with a guy steve (which is my favorite dynamic ever bc hello!! learning together!! figuring it out together!! being sweet and gentle together!!!) and it is just. the most perfect thing in existence. like, it is everything i could ever want and more out of that concept - it's fun, it's awkward, it's sweet, it's tender, it's just the best thing ever!!

next, transfiguration's gonna come for me at last by @aberfaeth - this one is absolutely stunning. it is a jewish eddie fic, and it owns my whole entire heart!! the dynamics between all of the characters in this fic are just top tier, so many good friendships explored and the bond between steve and eddie in this is just so lovely, and there is just an absolutely beautiful exploration of eddie and religion. this one is very special to me, and i for real cannot recommend it one enough.

finally, i see you (now) by apairofglasses (i am not sure if this author has a tumblr/what it is if they do). but this one!!!! this one!!!! it is a post-s4 in which eddie lives, of course, and he hides out at steve's and steve takes care of him. and it is just the honest to god most tender thing i have ever read. absolutely beautiful and so soft and so gentle and so vulnerable. there is non-sexual intimacy and hair washing and it is just so genuinely stunning. and the author did a fantastic job getting into eddie's headspace for it too. oh it was just such a lovely read. so very emotional.

If you had to suggest one gay fanfic to someone who has never really read fanfic much, what do you think it would be?

oh man uh like i would definitely suggest reading one for a fandom youre already in so this is quite a hard question to answer with just one single fic? so here are the absolute top ones I'd recommend as a first for a couple of the fandoms im in

ok so Leave No Soul Behind by whochick is like, my ultimate favourite star trek fic. I read it years and years ago and used to recommend it to literally anyone who would listen. It's an AU but the kind where it's very much set within the canon universe but putting the characters on a completely different path. honestly you can read this as its own standalone novel without even having watched any star trek it's SO GOOD damn i need to reread this. like if i had to pick one single fic to recommend i think id go with this one but idk if you watch star trek so ill drop a few others too

also gonna shoutout Veritas by theproblematique as another star trek fic that i've reread time and time again over the years and its a great one to go for if youre not at all into au

The Student Prince by fayjay otherwise known as THEE merlin fic, again i know people who have never seen bbc merlin who have read this and loved it. another au this time a modern day university au which i dont normally go with but its kind of a semi reincarnation au i think? I dont remember the details on that but merlin has his powers and his destiny is tied to arthur (who is still a prince i think? its been years since i read it lol) in a way thats still pretty close to the show so the dynamic really hits

oh gosh, hi friend! this is a QUESTION. i am definitely going to be wordy on this ask, too, so forgive me in advance. i love telling stories and i am also a narcissist, so i love telling stories about me.

i got into writing because i loved reading. as a kid, i would CONSTANTLY fall asleep reading books. i have an uncle who was an author and we always connected (even as i got older, he liked Harry Potter, he liked Futurama, he liked the NERDY KID stuff i liked). when i was nine-ish, i distinctly remember writing a short story about a kid and his dog on this ancient program on my mom's computer and printed it out ON A DOT MATRIX PRINTER (that's how old I am) so that I could show it to my uncle because i wanted to write like him.

BUT i didn't get into fanfic until i was fifteen or sixteen (this is a whole story and i'm proud of it so get ready). i was IN LOVE with the Lord of the Rings movies - knew all the cast members birthdays, could quote all the behind the scenes (I can still quote Galadriel's intro on the Extended Edition Fellowship). because of this, I was a member of a Dominic Monaghan fansite. the girls on this site wrote collective fanfic on the message boards. each girl would add their own chapters (one girl was obsessed with the band HIM and I picked up that obsession, still feel so nostalgic listening to Sweet Pandemonium, remembering how dial-up internet loaded Ville Valo's voice one note at a time and i was FUCKING SMITTEN friend).

i decided i wanted to do that. i started a fanfic (literally feel free to throw things at me) about JOHN MAYER and it was totally a self-insert fic with me and my friends as OCs. As my obsessions changed, so did the love interests (i ended up with Benji from Good Charlotte) and the whole thing was like a BAD SOAP OPERA

i continued writing stories about girls dating the boys in the bands I listened to. One about Sebastian LeFebvre from Simple Plan, one about Adam Lazzara from Taking Back Sunday, one about Tony Lovato from Mest. All with my own OCs (less self-insert now)

when i got married (at nineteen by the way, don't necessarily recommend it but it's sort of normal to do that in the south, plus he was my best friend from high school, and anyway we're still married thirteen years later), i stopped writing fic because i thought it was "childish" and because i was writing about boys i had crushes on and i thought it was ... idk disrespectful to my husband to have a crush on anyone else but him (i still have a crush on him, but i can also simultaneously have a crush on dev patel okay), so i moved to fiction. I completed my own novel in a few years but never published it.

THEN ALL HECK BROKE LOOSE WHEN THE AVENGERS MOVIE CAME OUT. I wrote a Loki fanfic (never finished, never published). but i realized writing about fictional characters was WAY more satisfying (and made me feel less creepy) than writing for actual human beings, so I started writing for Marvel characters (mostly just Bucky, which then became Stucky)

at this point, i had never read harry potter (i went to private school, they taught us it would turn us into satanists and it was banned lol), so when i became an adult, i was like I'M GONNA FUCKING WATCH HARRY POTTER YOU DUMB BITCHES (i have a lot of religious trauma because of my school so this was a big fuck you to them). I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS DAMN STORY. i went in knowing who would die, but not when. And when Sirius died RIGHT AFTER SAYING TO HARRY "Good one, James!" I CRIIIIIED

anyway, around then, i found Ao3, had posted some Bucky fics, was reading a lot of other HP fics and stumbled across Wolfstar. at first, it was WHAT REMUS AND SIRIUS??? BUT DIDN'T REMUS MARRY TONKS??? but i read one. and then another. and then another. and read the books and rewatched the movies and thought WOW WHAT THE FUCK THOSE TWO DUDES OBVIOUSLY LOVE EACH OTHER

anyway, here we are, 28 wolfstar fics later because i discovered that i could keep writing stories about these same two dudes in different ways and different situations and different lives, and i also found a community of friends who are super supportive and equally as talented in writing those same two dudes (and their friends).

the only tips i have for writing better is just KEEP DOING IT. even if you think you have no talent (i certainly didn't, my first fics were HOT GARBAGE), even if you think other people write better than you (there will always be talented people out there who you compare yourself to, i still do this). AND WRITE FOR YOURSELF. i've said this so many times, but write the way YOU want, write in the style YOU want to read, write the stories YOU want to read. technically speaking, I'm probably NOT a good writer, but i like my stories. And there will always be other people who like your stories, too.

AND READ. read all the fanfic you want. take note of the styles you like, the authors you like, the plots you like, the twists you like. and WHY you like those things. figure out why that sentence hit you in your gut so hard, why this fic made you cry, why that character makes you angry. conveying emotion is what makes stories powerful.

And find your niche. find the thing you WANT to write for, and write for it. i don't give a shit if it's a Rick and Morty crossover with Powerpuff Girls. you do you. for example, my first fic was mostly canon-compliant but i MUCH prefer AUs now because i can write these characters in whatever way suits my story.

What’s your most popular fic, by whatever metric is most relevant to you (hits, kudos, comments, reblogs, some other trait)?

My size difference sheith fic with tol!Keith, We're Giants In A Little Man's World, quickly soared to the top of my stats, by every measurement. It's got 486 kudos, which is over a hundred more than my next closest fic, and it has an astonishing 291 subscribers right now because it's still a WIP. I've been writing rarepairs or for smaller fandoms for a long time so it's still hard to believe I have so many people waiting to read anything I'm writing...

What’s your favourite fic that you’ve written?

I'm so bad at picking a favorite of literally anything ever... I might say my most popular fenders fic, I Am Yours, because I took a lot of tropes that I had loved for a long time for that pairing and made a fic out of them. And it is also Complete, which is still an accomplishment for me, haha.

I also really, really love my fenhanders fic Reconcile because it's pretty damn unique in the scheme of DA2 fics, because I was/am writing it to be the fic I wanted when I was playing DA2 for the first time. But it's not complete yet, and it hasn't been updated in a long time. I will finish it someday, but I don't know when.

What’s your best fic, and is it different from your favourite fic?

I’m not sure how to measure my “best” fic. Most of my fics are only minimally polished -- I generally post slightly edited second drafts, and I don’t usually have a beta.

There are a couple of fics that stick with me because of their subject matter.  My Body is a Cage (My Mind Holds the Key) and these hands are not mine both deal with feeling uncomfortable in your own skin, which is something that I’ve thought a lot about over the last few years as I’ve come to understand my own trans-ness. They’re both about entirely different characters from entirely different fandoms - Desmond Miles from Assasin’s Creed and Shiro from Voltron: Legendary Defender, respectively -- but they’re kind of spiritual twins in my book, about something that weighs on my mind a lot. I spent more time working and reworking them both than I usually do. 

I’m...not sure about We’re Giants in a Little Man’s World right now. Originally, I had planned to write the entirety of that fic ahead, and then post it in installments. So I wrote a substantial chunk of the first five chapters in advance, and polished them more than usual. I’m proud of that. But I worry that the alternate universe elements, the timey-wimey stuff, is taking me away from an accurate portrayal of Keith and Shiro’s voices. They’re not their canon selves, but I don’t want to make them unrecognizable, an I worry that I am. Voice has always been very important to me in my writing; it’s the thing I get the most compliments on across my fandoms and even in my original fiction. It’s important to me that I get it right, which is why I’m working on editing that one a bit before I finish the next chapter. I’m not sure that We’re Giants is going to be my best fic, even if it is far and away my most popular. I think I’ll have to finish it to find out.

Do you have a fic whose popularity surprised you?

Anytime I write for a large or active fandom, I’m always surprised by how popular my stuff is. I have a stucky one shot that’s like, the barest scrap of a thing, and it’s in my top 3 for kudos. All my sheith stuff is still surprisingly popular. But the one that surprises me the most is this weird little series here, which aren’t even fics at all, just some roleplays that @delazeur and I did together that I wanted to archive. They’re very cute and they’re some of my best roleplays ever but like...I literally did not expect anyone else to ever read them, and yet the first installment in that series has 26 kudos and nearly 1000 views. It’s REAL wild to me.

Do you have a fic you wish more people would read?

So 4 years ago or so I wrote this fic on tumblr in installments that I called “bad decisions one night stand fic” while it was in progress, which was just my Shepard like, getting drunk and having a one night stand before the start of the first Mass Effect game. It was one of if not the first times I ever wrote smut, and it does not get much attention because it’s Shepard/OC (it’s literally got 2 kudos since I moved it to ao3 lol) but I still like it. I think it’s a decent character study of my colonist + sole survivor Shep.

Is there a ship or fandom you haven’t written, but really want to?

After The Force Awakens came out, I got sucked into kylux because of the Children, Wake Up series. I’ve lowkey wanted to write something for that pairing since then, although it’s not a ship I have a lot of Feelings about these days if I’m being honest. I had Ideas, though; there’s this astolat fic with some really....intriguing dom/sub dynamics from an entirely other fandom that I wanted to steal some ideas from and iirc Hux was going to be force-sensitive too and Ren was going to be a bottom and it was all very kinky, I’m sure.

I have also never written anything for Harry Potter because I came super late to that fandom -- I had very religious parents, so I didn’t see any of the movies or read any of the books until I was 18. But I’ve been watching nyxrising’s The Growing Pains of Harry Potter videos on youtube lately and like, god, I have a lot of feelings??? I want to do something inspired by that. Maybe a drarry fic, maybe not. But it would have a trans Harry and it would be set post-series in a kind of epilogue-what-epilogue scenario and it would be all about like, what do you do, when you’re a chosen one who was destined to die, and then you didn’t? What do you do with the rest of your life? I’m just really interested in ex-chosen one stories and stories about learning to Adult in the real world ok.

Tell us a random fact about your writing process:

I’ve probably said this before, but I make a lot of playlists. Music helps jump-start my writing, gets me in the mood I want to be able to actually sit down and write a fic and avoid writer’s block, so it’s pretty important to me. Often I’ll have a whole playlist for a fic or for a pairing; sometimes I’ll just listen to a single song on repeat while I’m writing a chapter or a one shot. That’s part of the reason why so many of my fics have song lyrics for their titles; it’s really easy to just grab a line from whatever song I’m using for inspiration at the time in order to title a fic.

6. how did writing change you?I think writing mostly just gave me an outlet for my imagination. I daydream a lot, and writing stories allow me to actually share my thoughts with others. I never even really thought about it that much until 5th grade for Young Authors.

7. early influences on your writingHmmm, I think I would need to say my toy animals and Sailor Moon. Okay so, for Young Authors in 5th grade, I wrote a story based on I think the family of animals I made with “Kitty in my Pocket” toys; I had “Puppy in my Pocket” toys too, but wrote about a cat family (thank you google for helping me with the name! They were so cute!). So I guess earliest influences would have been toys. After that, it was anime, Sailor Moon specifically. I was really into the magical girl genre lol. I even remember in music class, I would constantly day dream about my own magical team, and opposite were a team of boys. Girls were cats, boys were dogs lol. Although that idea originated in elementary school also. So yeah, toys and cartoons!

10. how do you do your researches?This maaay sound bad; I don’t really do research. For the MCU, I may watch the movies over and over (speaking of, I need to rewatch The First Avenger, and Iron Man 1). For a vampire AU I’ve been working on, I’ve been going into google images to be sure the thing I’m thinking of is really that thing, because it does set kind of in a past setting. I’ve also been world-building for another AU, Tony centric, that my research is pretty much based on a massive roleplay I used to do with a spirit sister. I’ve been wanting to use the idea of one of the worlds for a while, but I realized that I don’t need to make that be the whole world, it can be a country. Also considering ideas for a maybe sequel if I like the first enough. If I want to be highly accurate for something, I go to google. Always google. Google is my buddy, my pal, my… you know what I mean. I tend to prefer fantasy settings though and for years I’ve been writing in the same universe. I wouldn’t even be writing for the MCU if it weren’t for my co-author @ladydarkphoenix-blog getting me to participate in her group after the premier of Captain America: Civil War (Lost and Found took off around when it was announced Captain America was HYDRA all along; we did a little thing in facebook comments because I couldn’t let that go so you have the very first scene of Lost and Found thanks to that).

11. do you listen to music when writing?Always! Always. It helps me set the mood. For drabbles it’ll be one song on repeat (lately it’s either “Heathens” by 21 pilots, or “Toxic” by Britney Spears (like right now), or “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” by Taylor Swift). Lost and Found, I listen to… whatever lol. Sometimes nothing. If we’re both actively working on it, I might turn on the score from Dark Shadows (the movie with Johnny Depp, I haven’t seen the original). I also listen to the scores of Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned.

17. favorite AU to writeFantasy or supernatural AU, although I don’t often write fanfiction. My original is definitely fantasy. And vampire. Vampire AUs, yes! I sort of want to try my hand at angels and demons sometime too, it just seems really interesting.

So I was reading fanfic again.

I'm caught up on winteriron so I figured I'd give stuckony another go. After some scrolling and tapping random page numbers I ended up on a fic that caught my attention. I've read it before, but never bothered to collect my thoughts. It has a Rape/Non-con tag which isn't a problem because I gravitate towards angst. This fic is weird though? There's no acknowledgement in the story that it's non-con. I mean, everyone else in the story is written as if Tony is acting out or like Tony doesn't get it. It's written like Tony's self-esteem is the issue? I'm probably not explaining this well.

I can read dark fic. Some of it's cathartic. But this is one in which the author didn't originally have it tagged as "non-con"? I think the author just meant for it to be a 'lol hormones and cute bonding' stuckony a/b/o. And I know a/b/o can be messy (and for me kinda squicky because the treatment of omegas can make me feel some kinda way). But no matter how bad the 'helpless omega controlled by their hormones' trope gets, there's usually a point somewhere in the fic where the omega still gets to be a person and have some choices, or the characters will actually have feelings for one another underneath all of that hormonal crap or something!

In this fic though? Nope.

Steve and Bucky were in a completely casual thing with passing-as-a-beta!Tony. Early in the fic, but after their fling was months in, Steve told Tony that Tony needed to back off because he and Bucky could "never be with someone like you." After Tony was outed as an omega, Steve said "someone like you" had meant a beta and that they didn't want a relationship with someone they couldn't complete their bond with. They apparently were missing their old omega so much that there ended up being an accidental bond. Now they felt Omega!Tony, not only could be with them, but that he should be with them. Tony, rightfully, called bullshit and said they didn't want him "because if you really wanted to be with me, it wouldn't have mattered if I was a beta." Then, as fanfic!Steve does, he said Tony doesn't understand and they'll talk about it later. Author never wrote that talk. So I sat there like am I crazy, or??? Stucky didn't care about Tony at all, just "omega"... and Replacement omega at that (Peggy had been their bonded omega). Then they had the nerve to force Tony to be with them! Bucky even had the ability to emit pheromones that worked like roofies. It would make Tony pass out or leave him complacent. (Author had Steve get lightheaded off it too... whatever that was supposed to mean)

Adding to the insult of all of this were the rest of the Avengers. The Team spent the beginning of the story telling Tony he's problematic for being clingy and stifling to st*cky. He shouldn't bother st*cky, st*cky pick people to bang every now and again but it's never anything serious, he should leave them alone, etc. They found out about Tony being an omega and accidentally bonded? They chaged their tune so hard! Going so far as to forcibly prevented him from leaving the tower. No acknowledgement (by anyone but Tony) of their earlier "suggestions".

Oh and JARVIS was the only one trying to help Tony get away from st*cky, so after Clint, Nat, Thor, and Hulk physically knocked Tony out the sky to get him back to Bucky, they had Pepper do something to JARVIS to get JARVIS to "behave".

Tony had no agency in this thing. He tried but they all, supposedly as friends, stopped him.

The part that really got me though? Was the damn ending! None of the problematic shit got resolved, none of that was even written as if it was bad, and the last bit was written like a happy morning after a night of sex between the three of them. "Happiness. Stability." were the wordd used. O.o

What. The. Hell.

If it had stopped before the so-called happy ending, I probably would have been able to go 'oh issa dark fic'. But because the end was supposed to have been happy and innocent -- Tony's just being a silly omega who doesn't know what he wants -- I just hate it.

But everytime I come across it I reread the damn thing. Why do I do this??

- From Skam: If You Love Me, If You Hate Me so. about this one. it’s probably my favorite skam fic that i’ve written. but. it also is the utter bane of my existence bc this is the one and only fic i have ever written and posted that i haven’t fnished gskgjfdlfs. it’s going on soon to be a little over 2 years of sitting on my account as an unfinished wip, but i REFUSE to mark it as abandoned bc i really genuienly DO want to finish it, i just havent written for this fandom in a while and inspiration/motivation is tricky yknow? but anyways. this fic is my soccer au!! it was a gift for a secret santa exchange i believe to a dear friend of mine and i still feel awful that i never finished it but. one day!!

- From Love Simon/Simon vs.: Where I Like You Best i am actually obsessed with this one. is that weird to say about your own fic? i enjoy reading a good soulmate au, but writing them has always been SO daunting to me bc i never feel like my ideas are original enough or like things that havent been done a lot for that trope. but for this one!!! omg i found the BEST prompt for it and it fit these characters SO well and i wrote it and i ended up absolutely loving how it turned out, and i was so proud of myself for writing a pretty successful soulmate au.

- From Shameless: Wooden Floors, Walls, and Window Sills so this one was my second ever gallavich fic, and it’s probably my favorite because i think it’s the best characterization i got of them in all of my fics, and good characterization is one of the most important things to me when i write fic. 

- From IT: To What We Might Do is my favorite reddie fic i’ve written! i definitely projected onto richie a teeny tiny bit in it for some parts lmfao, but yeah idk i just love how this one turned out a whole lot, and i enjoyed how i ended it too (esp since endings can be very difficult for me lol). ((BUT also a special shoutout to my fic Imagine Me and You, I Do bc that one is just pure fluff and i adore the concept of someone being just so absolutely in love with someone doing something so incredibly simple and it just rocks their world)

- From Good Omens: I Want To Know What Love Is (did i use the most cheesy title ever? absolutely. do i love it? absolutely.) anyways this fic is one where crowley the demon experiences love and promptly thinks he’s dying. 

Fic you were nervous to post: ooh, i mean i’m always pretty anxious about any fic i post because i never know if it’s going to be recepted well or if people are going to like it or hate it or if anyone is even going to read it or repsond to it. especially if the fic is a gift for someone, because i just really want that person to like it yknow? but yeah idk if theres one in particular i was more nervous to post than any others... i guess maybe any smut fic? just bc i never know if the smut is even any good lol

How do you choose your titles?: eaaaaasy, i usually pick song lyrics lol, ocassionally i’ve used lines from a poem, and a few times i’ve gone with a pun, but mostly it’s song lyrics. i usually find a song with lyrics that i think will fit, or if there’s a particular song that vibes well with the fic or that i listened to repeatedly while writing the fic i’ll try to pick the best lyric from that one.

Do you outline?: yes and no lol. it honestly depends. sometimes i outline extensively, but other times i just sit in front of a doc and let whatever happens happen.

Complete: on my ao3 account i have 80 works completed (will be 81 once i finally finish that one single unfinished wip i have posted gahhh). but i know in my wips folder i have a at least one finished fic that i have not and probably will not post. there are also some other things in my wips folder that like technically could be conisdered finished too, but it’s not up to my posting standards so until i fix it so it is it’ll just sit there lol.

In-Progress: honestly there are too many to count lol. i have a shiiiiiit ton of wips (as yall will know if you saw that one ‘tell us about ALL your wips’ tag game post that was going around that i did lol).

Prompts?: so the thing about prompts is that i would LOVE to take them, but it’s very very tricky bc i’m a super specific kind of gal and if i don’t vibe with the prompt it’s very difficult for me to write anything for it. but then there’s also the fact that inspiration/motivation are fickle bitches and they come and go as they please and so taking prompts is hard bc i never know if the stars will align and all that jazz for me to be in the ~ right mood ~ to work on a prompt. this is the exact reason why i have SO MANY sitting in my inbox right now, and i feel so bad for just letting them sit there but ughhh brain function?? how?? lol

Upcoming work you’re most excited about: sooooo i don’t necessarily have any specific works in progress right now (i’ve been so busy lately that writing has been the last thing on my mind and so i haven’t touched anything in weeks) but. i guess if i can ever get my shit together and finish the primo fic i’m close to finishing i’m pretty excited to post that! or honestly if i can actually get myself to finish any of the tog wips i have i’d be suuuper excited to post any of those bc i have not yet posted any tog fics!!

MCU for fandom asks 😁

ohhh this is going to be a gooood one haha, thanks for sending it in!!

1. The first character I fell in love with: ohhh okay well. i think my First Real introduction into comic book characters and marvel was when i saw Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark on broadway in New York in 2013, and like I loved that so so much, and my love for spiderman is really what kicked off my descent into the marvel universe (even if i didnt like properly get into the movies/fandom until later), so yeah I would say Spiderman will always hold a very special place in my heart bc of that!

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I think a fitting answer for this one would be Clint Barton/Hawkeye. The MCU really didn’t do him any justice at all, and to be frank, they made him pretty god damn boring lmao. But I read some of the fraction hawkeye comics and i LOVED how he was characterized there, and I’ve always loved fanons interpretation of Clint so much more than the movies, so it’s like a mix of these two that I’ve become very attached to! I even wrote a whole fic form Clint’s perspective once and it was honestly so fun to write, he’s such a fun character when you disregard the MCU’s version of him lol.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Hmm... I honestly can’t think of any character for this?? Like I feel like I mostly enjoy the characters everyone else does too, and there isn’t anyone that’s jumping out at me that I don’t like that everyone else does...

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Easy: Tony Stark. I love Tony Stark and I know so so many people that don’t, and honestly, it’s very disappointing to see just how much people can misunderstand a character and like the whole point of said character. I won’t get into it because there’s too much I could say about it and I don’t want to like stir the pot on anything bc Tony antis are vicious lmao. But yeah, Tony is my answer here! ((Oh also, extra answer bc I feel like it deserves some light too: Sharon Carter. A whoooole lot of people don’t like her too, but I actually love her character. This is another character the MCU did so god damn dirty, and I absolutely hate how they reduced her to just Steve’s love interest, like no she’s so much more than that!! Holding out hope that in TFAWS she actually gets to be her own person and we get to see her be the awesome badass she is)

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: None??? I honestly can’t think of any right now...

6. The character I would totally smooch: Well, I mean, Steve Rogers is probably my favorite marvel character of all time, so I would probably say him. But also Bucky deserves some kisses too bc I love him just as much... and so does Peggy... and Natasha... and and and is all of them an acceptable answer?? lol

7. The character I’d want to be like: Peggy Carter!! God, she is everything!! She’s so badass and just so cool. I wish I had her confidence and her take no shit kind of approach to things and her grace and her kickass style omg. Also she’s friends with some pretty cool people too, so like yes please, I would love those connections too!!

8. The character I’d slap: Like all the villains? lmao.  

9. A pairing that I love: Stucky!!! That is my Number One marvel ship, and I think every single day about how this pairing was SO OBVIOUS and so written in the stars but marvel and disney were too big of cowards to actually make it happen. 

10. A pairing that I despise: Imma put two because I can: St*rker and Th*rki. Fuck these ships lmao. They both make me highly highly uncomfortable so I Do Not interact with them.

I actually have a lot of fics I’ve written that I really love, but this one ranks just a bit higher than the others for a few reasons. It was the first chaptered fic I ever posted so it holds a special place in my heart because of that. But also, when I first started writing it I only was planning on having 3 chapters but it ended up being 8 in the end and I wrote a chapter a day and posted it as I wrote like that. So I’m pretty proud of how well it turned out. And it got a really really good response which makes me even happier and makes me love it even more.

Stjerner Lyser Skinnede GA 2k

Okay so it was a tossup between this fic and my Queer Eye au but this one won out because I at least liked the beginning of my Queer Eye au lmao. But this was written in desperation. I hadn’t posted anything in a while and was just beginning to get out of a really bad writers block and I whipped this up and I kind of hated it but posted it anyways. But yeah, I feel like this one has no substance so I don’t really like it that much tbh. But I don’t delete fics so it stays up there.

Okay this one’s a tie because I couldn’t pick between these two.  Lily White is one of my favorite things I’ve written and I feel like it’s underappreciated lol. I have Strong Feelings about Bucky being drafted instead of enlisting and that’s what that fic is basically about; in it Steve finds his draft notice. I’d say it’s minor angst bc Bucky and Steve both get emotional about it but it’s resolved quickly. Quality of Convictions is another one I really love that gets like no attention. It’s a Harry Potter au, which I understand isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but idk I just really love how this one turned out so I wish more people would give it a chance.

Ahh okay so I’ve enjoyed writing a lot of the fics I’ve posted but this one in particular came to me so easily which made it that much more enjoyable of a process to write. It was written for Spierfeld week, in which I wrote a fic a day for a whole week skljgd it was Busy but So Fun, and I ended up writing at least two of my favorite fics for it and this was one of them! I just loved getting into Bram’s head in this one and writing his panic when it comes to all things coffee haha. 

The fic you found hardest to write:

All Things (Just Keep Getting Better) GA 12.5k 

This was the easiest one of these to pick for lmaoo. This fic. *sigh* It was just. so. damn. hard. to. write. This was my entry for the Skam Reverse Bang 2018 and at this point, I had signed up for the reverse bang hoping it would help me re-find my inspiration for writing Skam, but it didn’t end up working out like that lol. The first like 1k or 2k (basically the whole car scene in the beginning) came so easily to me, I wrote it before I even knew I had this particular art to write for lol. But as time went on it got harder and harder to write for this and I ended up leaving it for last minute... oops... and I had to rush through it to finish which made me hate how it turned out. So yeah. This one is probably my least favorite thing I’ve written after Stjerner Lyser Skinnede. Which sucks because I really wanted to do it justice because I love the heck out of Queer Eye. But. Circumstances, I guess.

Haha this fic. Oh man, okay so a pal brought up the thomas the tank engine version of my neck, my back (don’t ask) which started a conversation of wack ass sex songs lol and I Just Had Sex by The Lonely Island was brought up and I suggested a fic idea based on it and got coerced into writing it lmao thus this fic was born. It’s not a crack fic or anything but it’s the closest I’ve gotten to writing a crack fic and I think it’s pretty amusing so. 

Your saddest fic:

Lily White, Hold Me Tight GA 4.3k

I actually don’t have like any angsty or sad fics, which is honestly kind of a shame because I would love to have more of those, they can be kind of fun to write sometimes sfljdf. But this would definitely be my saddest. Like I explained earlier it’s Steve finding Bucky’s draft notice and confronting Bucky about it and Bucky like kind of breaks down when explaining why he didn’t tell Steve about it and told him he enlisted instead. It has a nicer ending, but yeah, it gets pretty emotional. But honestly, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve written.  (Honorable mention to the p much finished skam divorce fic in my drafts that I’ll probably never post. That one was hella sad, especially if I didn’t go with the happy ending bits I had in mind. It would have easier taken this spot if I ever posted it but I didn’t and never will)

Ideally, I would love to be remembered by a different fic for each fandom I’m in lmaoo but that’s definitely unlikely.  Actually, once I finish my Stucky AU Big Bang fic (and tbh the other rom com au I’m working on) that’s probably going to be the fic I’m most proud of and would most like to be remembered for but since that’s not finished or posted yet I’ll go with these two lol.  Both of these fics are very special to me, for reasons previously stated for Hella Feelings but not IYLMIYHM. That one was a gift for one of my pals for the Skam Intl Secret Admirer Exchange we did and that fic honestly was a blast to write. I complained about it a whole helluva lot lol but I really did enjoy myself writing it and some of the chapters have some of my favorite things I’ve written (i.e. the sex scene in like chapter 7 i think it is?? love that shit srgldfdg can you say that about your own smut? lmao). But yeah, these are my two chaptered fics so far (even though the second one is still unfinished ripppp) and I’m insanely proud of both of them and I think they’d be pretty bomb things to be remembered by. (Also they’re my most popular fics so if anything these would be the ones I’m known for lmao)
