So I heard we were redesigning the Scooby gang for funsies. And character design is my passion so… Have this college au!

I honestly think that Velma would be the only one who’s actually a criminal justice major or going to school for a similar field, but I also think she’d minor in like robotics or something. She’s got a full scholarship bc she’s like a super genius or something.

Daphne is a fashion design major but dabbles in a few other things when she isn’t doing mystery stuff with the gang. I’ve always seen her as a jack of all trades type who can pick up skills p easily tbh. She’s just girlboss like that. Also the fact that Shaggy wears socks and sandals drives her nuts.

Fred is a theater kid and if you think otherwise you’re wrong. Idk much about theater majors but I think he’d focus more on the technical side of things, but he’s still a pretty good actor.

Shaggy just seems like they’d be the type to be a culinary arts major bc y’know… food. He’s also on the college track team bc that also makes sense to me. And Scooby is their emotional support dog. Anxiety service dog??? (I’m not all that familiar with the terms and what is considered like a service animal or not so I’m so sorry if that’s not correct.) Also baggy clothes to hold all the snacks.

I imagine that the gang is still solving little mysteries while in school since chaotic stuff just gravitates to them via the power of being main characters, but I also think it would be fun to have like an overarching mystery as well. And I think it would include the gang noticing that despite the normal lifespan of a dog, Scooby doesn’t seem to be getting any older…

I had a realization

To q!Bad, Pomme is still at roommate status, Dapper is his father and Richas is his mom, Sunny is the queen he respects, Tallulah is referring to him only as Mr. Bad, Leo & Ramon haven’t interacted much at all. the majority of eggs are at a distance to some degree, his kids are choosing to do this so they don’t overwhelm him with being a parent

Then there’s Empanada & Pepito. I’d say they are the only two eggs rn he’s forming a parental-figure-uncle relationship with that’s so familiar to pre-reset. like Pepito calling him tio and hugging him during all the times they meet lately 🤏

but it’s especially apparent with Empanada. she’s come to spend time with her uncle every day for long periods of time, and has been constantly calling him uncle. earlier, we got to see what effects that’s been having

He called her sweetie. it’s the first time he’s called an egg that since resetting!!!! of course he did. there is no other egg that’s coming close to “a child I personally need to care for” right now except her- that’s his niece.

I like that q!Bad is being eased into the idea of family relationships thanks to the silly bit with Richas/Dapper & now he’s getting to practice himself by being an uncle. when he eventually finds out he’s a father I think it’ll be an easy adjustment <3

The explanation for why totk’s story is so Not Great and how disconnected from its predecessor it feels being that the devs didn’t want to alienate new players who didn’t know anything about botw’s story just falls apart the more I think about it. Nothing from this stupid half a plot works unless the player is familiar with specific details from the better games that came before it.

The believability of Link and Zelda’s connection to each other hinges on you knowing about the nuance of their relationship in botw. The ancient sages fighting with the champions’ arms and divine beast helms will only be impactful to botw/aoc players because totk doesn’t bother to explain the significance of that callback at all. Fi’s cameo is meaningless unless you either got every memory in botw or finished the master trial dlc (and know about her from skyward sword). You’ll only get the full context of Teba being sidelined in favour of a 12-year old if you played a specific chapter of Age of Calamity’s second DLC. Like sorry but I think Nintendo just made a bad story tbh
