#but it came so literally out of nowhere that I felt that need to mention it

Apparently my early-ish morning brain wants me to curse my child.
For further elaboration:
The point my brain has just made is that in the TOH Amphibia AU, the Core could almost function like The Owl Beast Curse (but a lot more openly malevolent). And now it’s just overthinking that aspect. I have questions about this whole idea.

“Thank you for accepting me.”
Another kiss.
“Thank you for taking care of me.”
Another kiss.
“Now, let mommy show you how grateful she really is.”
You had always envisioned yourself pursuing law school after graduation, but life had other plans. You unexpectedly became pregnant right after graduating, when you told your boyfriend of 3 years that you were pregnant, he was ecstatic to become a father. However, once your son was born, his true colors showed—he began to lash out at both you and your son and it became a living hell for you.
He was the main provider when you were pregnant and for the first couple of years after your son's birth, he continued to support you. However, when your son turned 2, he provided less and less for you and your son, and that’s when you started looking for a job again.
You quickly pivoted to finding a job that would allow you to support yourself and your son. Luckily, you found a job as an advertising specialist, which provided you with a stable income that was enough to meet your needs and even help contribute to the household. When you had to work long hours, you would leave your son with your lovely neighbor, who was a grandmother and loved taking care of him like her own grandchild. She would always try to talk to you about leaving your boyfriend every chance she gets, she even tried to set you up with her amiga’s son. Of course you knew she meant well, but you would just offer a forced smile and a coffee she told you was her favorite to try and change the subject everytime she talks to you about it.
Over time, your relationship with your boyfriend continued to deteriorate. He stopped helping you around the house and you would come home to find dirty dishes piling up in the sink and no food in the fridge. If there was food, it seemed like he only prepared it for himself. It felt like he was becoming more and more selfish and unthoughtful, leaving you to take care of everything on your own while he prioritized his own needs.
He showed little to no interest in caring for your son too, often expecting you to handle all the parenting, household…everything! If your son cried, he wouldn't bother trying to comfort him and would just give him his phone while he watches TV. You didn't even know if he listened to you when you tried to talk to him about keeping your son away from gadgets.
If there was a mess to clean up, he always expected you to take care of it. He even went as far as shouting at you like a maid to do everything, showing a complete lack of empathy or willingness to share the responsibilities of raising your son.
As if it was only you who made your son? He literally put him inside you?
The breaking point in your relationship came when your boyfriend laid a hand on you. He was drunk when he got home, you asked him where he’d been and he told you, he went into a bar, out with friends—after that he told you not to ask any further questions. But the sickening perfume clinging on his shirt didn't stop you from asking if he was cheating on you and out of nowhere he came up to you and slapped you across the face. You knew at that moment that you had to leave him to protect your child from further harm. Yes, it was you who got hurt by him and if he could do it to you, he would do the same to your son. So you gathered your things and left that very night, never looking back. You also decided to leave the job you were working at, wanting to put as much distance between you and him as possible. Surprisingly, your ex-boyfriend never made any attempt to contact you or even ask about your son, as if he was relieved to be rid of you both.
Now, meeting Natasha felt like a breath of fresh air after the toxic relationships you had experienced. She was kind, empathetic, and genuinely interested in your well-being. Not to mention that she was almost a decade younger than you and was a beefy woman that has godly arms, that made you literally swipe right on sight. And behind that godly body she had a geeky side—she wore glasses, framing her intelligent green orbs, sparkling as she literally rambled about Greek mythology during your first date.
You were having a great time with her and you think you both clicked and you know that eventually that night during your date you have to tell her about your son which you were hesitant about, fearing judgement or rejection.
What if after you told her she will excuse herself to the bathroom and never come back and leave you with the bills? Or what if she will suddenly tell you that her dog is sick even though she doesn't even have a dog? Well, you don't want to assume already but these are the things you had experienced in the past when you started dating again—a lot of stupid excuses that led you to expect rejection or disappointment when you mentioned you had a son.
However, as you gathered the courage to reveal this information, Natasha's reaction took you by surprise.
“You have a son? That's wonderful. I hope to meet him soon.”
And you knew from there that you would let her take you to bed…not just to sleep though.
And speaking of bed you are now stretching yourself around your own bed, the memories of the night before came flooding back to you. You could still feel her lips on yours, her hands skimming over your body, her inside you. But then, the sheets where she had been laying is now cold, she is no longer beside you. You tried to look around your room but she's nowhere to be found.
You immediately get yourself dressed soon, your mind shifting to a familiar routine—cleaning the house. Having come from an abusive relationship, you have become accustomed to cleaning as your ex-boyfriend had placed the burden of household chores on you, demanding that you clean the house, iron his clothes, and prepare his breakfast before he left for work and it has been an ingrained habit on you.
Though you were saddened by the thought of Natasha actually leaving, your instinct to still do the things you usually do every morning is a priority, and after that, you are planning to call Darcy to pick your son up and cry to her that you feared yet another date failed.
Maybe she was just embarassed to say it in front of your face, that she's not into single mothers and she was just being kind and she thought that you seemed like you haven't been laid for like what? Two years now? So she just slept with you and immediately fly off afterwards. Maybe you have to start putting a single mother warning on the dating app you have been using or maybe stop using it at all.
As you descended the staircase, a tantalizing aroma wafted through the air, causing your stomach to rumble. You strained your nose, trying to identify the source of the mouthwatering scent. Was it a rich pasta sauce or perhaps a delectable baked mac and cheese that was cooking in the kitchen? The mystery deepened your hunger, making your stomach growl even more insistently.
Wait, who was cooking in your sacred kitchen?!
Entering the kitchen, your gaze fell upon a delicious delightful sight —Natasha, clad in your strawberry-patterned apron, her beefy arms flexed as she skillfully stirred a pot on the stove, her strength and cuteness on full display. Sensing your presence, Natasha turned around, her smile widening as she laid eyes on you.
“Good morning.” Natasha greeted you with her deep and velvety voice.
“H-hi…”
“I hope you don’t mind me being here in your kitchen.”
Well, you literally let this woman take you in your own bed and be inside you the very same night you met…where else couldn’t she be in?
You looked around, taking in the immaculate state of your house. It was as if a cleaning fairy had come in the night and transformed the place. The floors were spotless, dishes were washed and put away, the couch cushions were fluffed and there were beautiful freshly cut roses arranged in a vase on the countertop. Your gaze fixed on the vibrant petals as you admired its simple beauty.
Natasha, noticing your gaze, commented shyly, “I brought some...for you, a while ago. I'm sorry for getting out of bed, I wanna prepare something for you before you wake up.” She smiled sheepishly, her fingers playing with the straps of the apron as she removed it out of her godly body.
Your eyes now darted to the vacuum, neatly tucked away in its usual spot and a frown creased your forehead. “D-Did you vacuum?” Natasha with her glasses slightly fogged up, nodded affirmatively, her hands busily wiping away the condensation.
“You know you don't have to do all this, right?”
“Yeah but I want to.”
“I'm sorry if my house is really that messy that you have to clean it yourself.”
“That's not what it is mama.”
You bit your lip trying not to moan right then and there with the nickname she gave you as you slowly walked up to her, thinking of some ways on how to thank her.
Your eyes locked onto her figure as she prepare two plates for the two of you, “Thank you,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. You reached out and cupped her cheek to get all her attention. You gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, your fingers brushing against her cheek.
“Baby…it’s nothing, alright?” she giggled.
“Let me thank you for doing all this.”
“Well, your welcome.” She kissed your forehead but when she was about to turn and go back to plate the pasta your hands gripped her tighter and you pushed her gently against the kitchen counter, pinning her in place.
“I thought you will let me thank you for you doing all this for me?” you frowned, looking at her with best puppy eyes you could give.
“Y-yeah…and I said you’re welcome didn't I?” Natasha’s cheeks flushed with a rosy tint, her breath hitching in her throat unaware of what you’ve been meaning to say or do.
Her eyes widened in shock as she watched you slowly kneel down in front of her, your hands reaching for the waistband of her joggers, not even wearing a boxers. She didn't fight, her body seemingly frozen in place as you pulled them down, revealing her erect cock springing free.
You smiled up at her, your gaze fixed on her cock and she felt a heat spread across her cheeks. You wrapped your hand around the base of her shaft, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Thank you for doing all this, baby,” you murmured, leaning forward to press a kiss to the tip of her cock.
“Thank you for tidying up the house.”
Another kiss.
“Thank you for cooking for me.”
Another kiss.
“Thank you for accepting me.”
Another kiss.
“Thank you for taking care of me.”
Another kiss.
“Now, let mommy show you how grateful she really is.”
Without a second, you wrapped your lips around her thickness, taking her into your warm, wet mouth. Natasha’s head fell back against the cabinets, a soft moan escaping her lips. Her fingers tangled in your hair, guiding you as you bobbed your head.
You continued to suck on her cock with fervor, your mouth stretching to accommodate her girth. Natasha’s hips bucked slightly, pushing her dick deeper into your throat. You gagged softly, but didn’t pull back, determined to show her just how grateful you were.
You looked up at her, your eyes meeting hers as you continued to suck on her hard length. Her glasses were fogged up, her eyes hidden behind the blurred lenses. But you could feel her gaze, intense and unblinking, as she watched you pleasure her.
“Fuckfuckfuck baby, sh—shit!”
As you continued to suck on her dick, saliva dripped from the side of your mouth, a small smile attempting to form on your lips despite the awkward position. You tried to grin up at her, hoping to catch her eye again through the fogged lenses.
Natasha's breathing grew ragged, her hands gripping tighter onto your hair. “B-baby I-I fu—!” she panted, trying to pull you off. But you tightened your grip on her thighs, keeping her in place as you continued to bob your head.
“Babybabybaby I’m going to…” she warned, her voice strained. You hummed in response, the vibration pushing her over the edge. She came with a low moan, her hips bucking forward as she spilled into your mouth.
You swallowed every last drop, your eyes watering slightly from the intense sensation. You slowly pulled back, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. Natasha sagged against the cabinets, her legs shaking as she tried to catch her breath. You slowly stood and she sighed, leaning against you for support, trying to steady her nerves.
“If there should be someone who needs to be thankful, that’s me,” she buried her face in your shoulder, her breath warm against your skin. “Fuck, mama is-is there something I could still do around the house?” her voice coming out a little bit raspier and low.
You took a hold of her face and giggled, “Someone wants to be rewarded huh?”
“Mhm,” she nodded with a puppy dog eyes, her lips pouting at you.
You bit your lips at her being so cute and placed a kiss on her plump lips, “You have to stop before I let you fuck me to every corner you've cleaned around here.”
The red head then blush at your blunt words, “That's what I want,” she whined as she put her face back at your shoulder, embarrassingly admitting the reason why she wanted to help you around the house. And you just can't help but giggle and place a comforting kisses on the side of her face.
“Pasta’s getting cold, let’s eat?” She offered weakly as she pull back after clinging from you for support after the lingering aftershocks of the orgasm you gave her.
“I don't think I'm hungry for food anymore, I just had my breakfast,” you said with a smirk written on your face. You wiped the remaining evidence of her from the side of your mouth, sucking your thumb clean with a satisfied expression.
Natasha’s gaze intensified, her eyes locked onto yours, in a swift second you yelped as she effortlessly lifted you onto the kitchen counter.
“Well, I haven't had mine, mama.”

olderbfyandere!mike schmidt
Tumblr media
surprise, bitches!!! im giving yall a lil taste of some more writing. im not really on hiatus (obvi, i post every 5 minutes) but i've been sooooo busy that i haven't been able to post half as much. with that being said, here are some more in depth headcanons ab yandere!mike. :p could not have done this without @futturmand literally helping me (coming up w/) most of these. thank u bae.
warnings: drugging, violence, sex, daddy kink, abusive tendencies
------------------
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt was kinda an asshole. to his coworkers, random customers at the mall, anybody who came too close to you, and yes, even sometimes to you. he was the kind of guy who had a semi-permanent grimace on his face. the corners of his mouth would turn into smiles typically only when he was with abby or you two were alone and he could let his guard down. of course, even then, the moment you caught an attitude, that grimace would appear right back on his face. his demeanor was typically gruff. he was the kind of guy most people didn't want to mess with. this meant any male coworkers around you would be tested their fate to even glance at you the wrong way and god forbid mike saw one of them brush something off of your shoulder. that would truly be the end of them.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt is very obsessive over safety. after losing garrett, he has this urge to do nothing but to protect. this means that mike is the type of guy to want your location at all times. not only that, but he wants to know what you're doing, who you're with, and what time you'll be home. he expects a text when you leave, a text when you get there, an hourly check-in, then a text on your way home. it brings him a sense of peace, knowing where you are. he watches life360 obsessively when you're not in his sight, watching your little bubble move through wherever you may be. he's constantly checking the speed of the car you're in, occasionally stalking your friend's instagram stories to see where you are. he's overprotective to the extent that it can be overbearing, but at the end of the day it's endearing knowing he cares that much.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt uses the fact that you're younger than him to manipulate you. he's less about violence or anything physical and instead uses his words. he will constantly remind you how helpless you are without him, how he has so much more life experience than you. he'll point out randomly when you mention not knowing how to do something, saying something like, "see, babydoll, where would you be without me? that's right, nowhere. you need me to take care of you." he's also the kind of guy to eventually make you financially dependent on him if he could ever afford it. he would never put you in that spot until he was comfortable enough to do so, though, meaning it might be a loooong time before that ever happened.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt treats you less like a partner and more like a little sibling, kinda like he treats abby. as strange as it is, he also feels a paternal instinct to protect you. it comes from his deep-rooted feelings of abandonment. he lost garrett, his mom, his dad, and sometimes he feels like abby hates him. he loves that you listen to him, that he can command you to do something and you'd be so good for him. he absolutely adores being able to control different aspects of your life, making you completely reliant on him. it makes him feel special and needed, which he hasn't felt in a very long time. he loves nothing more than when he gets to scold you almost like a parent, your eyes falling to the ground, that adorable wounded puppy look he loves so much taking over your face.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt is incredibly clingy and touch starved. he wants to have a hand on you 24/7. forget having personal space, because you are not getting it with him. he'd follow you around, watching you everywhere you'd go. his hands would grip onto your hips so tightly sometimes it'd feel like they were glued to them. he'd always have his arms around you, kissing at your neck, nipping in a way you felt shouldn't be shown in public. mike didn't care, he wanted everyone to know you belonged to him in every single way. he controlled you, and if he wanted to embarrass you and turn your face red by leaving purple marks on your neck in the middle of a shopping plaza, then so be it. you would take it or be punished.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt who of course uses his sleeping pills on you when you're being a little brat. he isn't violent with you for the most part except for the rare occasion when he will hold you down onto the bed until you'll listen, but otherwise he opts for something simpler. when you're being a little too frustrating for him, going against his every command or you're not feeling like being held, mike will simply crush up his sleeping pills, slip them into your water. he's careful with you once you doze off, never abusing you in any way. all he will do is tuck you into your shared bed and hold your body in his arms, whispering sweet nothings as you're off in your own sweetly drugged up world.
olderbfyandere!mike schmidt would most definitely have a thing for being called daddy. sorry guys, it had to be said. hot take, i guess. considering he did want to protect you so thoroughly, he loved when you'd call him daddy. it made him feel like your protector, like you knew he was the one that did everything for you. it was so crazy how such a simple word could change his whole day. he loved hearing it fall out of your lips as he'd brush through your hair or wash your body off in the shower. "thank you, daddy," you'd hum and he'd grin ear to ear. "you're welcome, babydoll," he'd always say, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

Tumblr media
You’d known Dallas Winston for a long time. Not your whole life but it felt like it. He was always a constant in your life. Your relationship was always a weird one with the Winston boy. You could joke all day long in the confines of the house but as soon as you left it he wanted nothing to do with you. Like he was embarrassed of you. Little did you know he was just trying to keep your squeaky-clean reputation intact. For you might’ve hung, lived with and been around greaser’s but you weren’t one really. You were a greaser by association. Dally always said you were far too kind, too pure for this lifestyle so he tried his hardest to keep you as far away as he could.
It wasn’t easy when you gave him those pleading looks outside the Curtis residence to just acknowledge your presence. He tried his best not to cave. Not even when all he wanted to do was laugh about something stupid Ponyboy or Sodapop did. But you couldn’t be seen with him out and about so casually. Then the Soc’s would start to target you. He didn’t know what he was quite capable of at the thought of somebody hurting you. As he got to know you and the Curtis after moving to Tulsa he swore he’d protect you day and night. He wouldn’t let a pretty little hair on your pretty little head get touched.
He'd decided early on when he met you, he was ten and you were eight, that he was going to get you tough. He was going to be hard on you, not too hard though. If you were going to grow up a greaser then you needed to know how to defend yourself. He spent the next eight years teaching you, training you, protecting you. He didn’t realize when it happened but slowly he stopped looking at you like a younger sister. Those protective feelings went far deeper than familial love. No, he actually loved you. He’d fallen in love with the one person he really shouldn’t have fallen for. Darry would skin him alive if he knew. Soda would beat him into oblivion. Pony would tell him how disappointed he was in some sort of poetic way that went over his head. He knew he just had to keep these growing feelings quiet. For your sake. You didn’t need to deal with him or his endless amounts of baggage. Even if he could see how attached you had grown to him too.
To say your relationship had grown confusing and chaotic over the years had been an understatement. Even Darry had picked up on some of the awkward tension that seemed to pop up out of nowhere when the two of you were left alone. Soda caught onto the longing gazes Dally would throw your way. He even caught you a few times doing the same to him. Pony wasn’t blind either. He was your very best friend and confidant. Whenever the conversation of Dallas Winston came up you shied away. Scared of letting something loose on accident. All the brothers knew there was something there they just didn’t know if and what would happen.
After your parents had died he’d been there for all of you but especially you. You’d taken it the hardest. Your mom was your favorite person and she just disappeared one day. You were lost and had to rely on teenage boys to guide you through it all. Your parents had nobody they could fall back on to take care of you. Thank goodness for Dally. He’d quite literally pulled you out of the depression you’d slipped into by just being there. Helping you. Asking for nothing in return. That’s when you fell in love. He’d shown you his true colors under the layers and layers to Dallas Winston. Under it all he was there for you and promised to never leave. And you knew he'd keep that promise, you just knew it.
Slowly the months ticked by and you’d gotten back to normal. Going out with friends and boys. Dallas watching you like a hawk whenever you went on dates with guys he knew were nothing compared to you. But he decided not to say a word and let you live your life. It was worth seeing the smile come back to life after seeing you so sad for too long. Seeing you happy was worth it all.
So, when Ponyboy asked you to accompany him on a Paul Newman special at the movie theatre you couldn’t refuse him. He was so excited about seeing the film you could hardly imagine saying no to him. You’d always enjoyed the movies too so it was hardly a tough sell on his part.
You couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a Saturday. Maybe if Dally was there to accompany you. But you couldn’t admit that. If you did then everything would change. Who knows what Darry would do to Dally. How Soda would treat him. This could get weird, and you hated weird. You’d rather keep it normal even if it meant having to keep him as a friend.
“Which one did you like better?” Pony asked once the two of you had left the theatre. He placed his hands in his pockets giving you a quizzical look. The two of you waked slowly along the cracking road that needed some serious repairs. Your head spun towards the street seeing a car full of Soc’s roll up chipping at Ponyboy about something, ignoring you completely. Even though you were over a year older than him Pony stood much taller than you. He pushed you behind his back as he yelled back at the boys. You tugged at the back of his shirt letting him know it was time to go. It wasn’t smart to get chippy with five of them in the car. They outnumbered the two of you and you were rather useless in a fight.
He grabbed your hand and pulled you across the street. After a moment of walking along the residential road you answered him, “The Hustler was far better Gidget Goes to Rome. Paul Newman really is a mastermind.”
He smirked bobbing his head in agreement, “Thought you’d say that.”
You feigned offense at that statement, “Am I that predictable Ponyboy Curtis?” You raised your eyebrows as you walked along the dirt path. The theatre wasn’t far from home thankfully. Maybe just over a mile. A twenty-minute walk or so.
“No. I just know you I guess dear sister.”
You smiled at your younger brother. Even since your parents had passed you’d taken on the nurturing role for him and even Soda more recently. Darry had none of it though. You’d grown close to your two brothers since their death’s. Darry kept his distance trying to do his best to raise you instead of letting you help him. He was trying to take on the role of your father without even asking if that’s the three of you wanted. But you didn’t dare question him.
You gave his hand a soft squeeze, “That you do Ponyboy. You know me better than anybody else.” You spotted a vehicle fast approaching from behind the two of you as you went in for a hug.
Your eyes widened seeing the same Mustang before barreling towards you, “We gotta run.” You grabbed his arm and started sprinting down the road. Pony was faster, so much faster than you, so he tried to drag you along only ending up tripping you in the process. They caught up in their Mustang an instant. He stood in front of you as you scrambled to your feet.
You gulped as the five boys got out of the car walking towards you, “Get out of here.” Pony tried to sound tough, but you heard the waver in your younger brothers voice.
One of them flipped a blade open. Your eyes shot wide open as you grabbed his shirt trying to tug him away. But they were faster as one of them tugged on your arm pulling you to the ground in front of Pony. You let out a scream trying to draw the greasers attention a few houses down. Hopefully they were hanging out outside like they usually were. Drinking beers or some shit.
“Darry! Soda!” You yelled as Pony as was taken down to the ground with you. He tried to let out a few calls for help but was muffled by something being shoved in his mouth.
“Shut her up.” One of them said, Randy maybe? You’d recognized him as the one with the redhead from school.
And before you knew it that same blade was placed right to your throat, “Pretty little things got a mouth on her huh? Maybe this’ll quite you down.” The overly-cologne scented Soc smirked as he pressed the blade across your throat drawing yet another yell right from you. He cut you. He really cut you.
Before you knew it they were running away. Your brothers and friends had heard you and Ponyboy yelling and came running right to your defense. It was only a little over a minute you were down on the ground, but that minute made you tremble. You’d never been so dominated like that in your life.
You looked down shocked at everything that had just happened. You’d felt the blood trickling down your neck more so than throbbing of the slice the Soc had given to you. Darry pulled you up from the ground, so you were sitting at eye level with his crouched form. After a moment of him holding the handkerchief up to your neck he finally spoke, “They didn’t hurt you too bad, did they?” His voice was low. He was pissed. You knew you were in trouble later on once everything had settled.
You shook your head afraid to look at your older brother, “No, I’m fine.” You whispered afraid of what he might say next.
Ponyboy made his way over to you, crouching down next to Darry, “I’m so sorry, Y/N. I didn’t…”
You stopped him, “It’s fine Pony. I’m okay really. Just a cut.” A small smile wavered over your face trying your best to reassure him.
Darry scoffed hating how you were playing this off so casually. Like his kid sister hadn’t gotten a knife pulled on her. Like you hadn’t gotten cut by that very same knife. It was every nightmare he had coming to light right in his backyard. At least the two of you had gotten that far before being attacked.
“Hey, Y/N.” Soda spoke after running up. His face dropped seeing the blood running down your neck, “Did they pull a blade on you?” He put his hands on your shoulders so he could get a better look.
Your face flushed with embarrassment seeing all of your brothers eyes right on you. Turning away you couldn’t take Soda’s intense gaze, “Yeah.”
He pulled your head back towards him, “Hey kid, they ain’t gonna hurt you no more. Come on.” Grabbing your hand, he hoisted you to your feet with ease. Darry gave you one last quick look before he grabbed Pony by the arm. You gulped knowing Darry was going to have it in for him. You needed to talk to your older brother about being so hard on Pony. It was just an accident after all. It wasn’t your fault the Paul Newman films kept the two of you in deep conversation not seeing the Mustang until it was too late.
Dally only interrupted you and Soda once Darry had pulled Pony ahead. He needed to make sure that his favorite Curtis sibling was okay. A minor wave of panic rang through his body seeing you pushed to the ground next to Pony with those boys had their filthy Soc hands on you. Rage washed over him as he kicked the side of the fancy car when they fled away from the scene.
Dallas’s eyes scanned over you with concern only stopping when he saw the trail of blood rolling down your neck, “What the hell is that? Did they cut you?” He took a step closer, grabbing at your face with a delicate touch. Almost as if he was afraid he’d hurt you further if he grasped on too tightly.
“Jesus, Curtis. What’d I tell you about defending yourself?” He gave your cheek a soft squeeze before dropping his hand. He spotted the already bloodied Handkerchief turned rag in Soda’s hand and held out his own to ask for it from your brother.
You looked down, “It was five on two Dally. What were we supposed to do?” You asked back earnestly wondering what the hell you were actually supposed to do. Run? Pony was faster and you’d only slow him down so that wasn’t an option. You’d already tripped trying to keep up with him. Try and fight? Well, you got a blade pulled on you so that wasn’t great either.
He bit his mouth trying his best not to snap at you. His adrenaline was high, and he was scared at the thought of you actually getting hurt, “I don’t know Y/N. Fight back? You were just lying there!”
You stopped walking abruptly, brushing Soda away knowing he didn’t need to hear the conversation about to go on between you and the hot-headed man beside you, “Can you go make sure Pony’s okay?” You asked him.
Soda gave you a curious look before finally handing Dally the handkerchief, “You sure?”
“Yeah, go ahead.” You gave him a quick push before turning back to Dally, “What is wrong with you?”
He stepped closer so your brothers couldn’t hear ahead of you, “What the hell is wrong with me? I’m just trying to keep you alive Curtis. I should be asking you the same! Why are you out walking alone with Pony this late on a Saturday anyway? You two know better. Those no good for nothing assholes only want to fight.” He grumbled before dabbing at the semi-dried blood on your chin.
You let out a huff of irritation. He was being so caring yet so damn frustrating, “What? I can’t go anywhere without a damn chaperone now? I’m confined to my brothers house? Is that how it’s going to be Dally? Pony isn’t enough now?” Your voice was snappy as you pushed and pushed and pushed him. He was already feeling on edge from the whole thing and your attitude was about to be his breaking point. There was nobody on this planet that could get under his skin like you could, nobody except for you. You’d found a way to weasel your way into his ice-cold heart and sink a burning ember into it. For Dallas Winston would do anything for you. But man, did you frustrate him to no end.
“Jesus, you know that’s not what I mean! Stop putting words into my mouth Curtis.” He put his hands up in the air in frustration, raising his voice just a tad. Darry turned back observing, making sure you were fine. He knew Dally would never hurt you. He could see the way the Winston boy looked at his younger sister. He wasn’t stupid. Dally had always been soft on you. Except he wasn’t. He pushed you harder than he pushed anyone. He wanted you to know how to defend yourself. With your hands, a knife, a pipe whatever. He was going to teach and push because he needed you alive. You were the only thing grounding him to this planet at the moment.
Your eyes narrowed on his, your voice raising as well, “Then what do you mean Dallas? Go ahead. Say exactly what you mean. I can take it.” You’d only used his full name when you felt like being patronizing.
He looked like he was contemplating everything before he turned back to you, “You need to be more careful!” He snapped. He didn’t raise a hand on you but instead yelled right at you stopping you in your tracks. Dally had never yelled at you before. Scolded sure. Disappointed yes. Angry, of course. But yelled? Never.
Your brothers must’ve seen the look in your eyes as they all stepped in. Darry pulled Dally away telling him to cool off. Soda grabbed your arm pulling you back towards the house. And Pony happily chatted away trying to take your mind off it.
“Dally’s just an asshole, you know that!” Pony’s final ditch effort to get you to smile came up miserably short.
You gave him a solemn nod, “Yeah, I know. Never to me though.” The sadness in your voice must’ve been evident because that had him quiet down the remainder of the short walk home. You brushed them all away telling them that you were ‘fine’ and going to take a nap.
They left you alone for a few hours but when you didn’t come out for dinner all three brothers grew worried. Soda knocked on your door lightly, “Hey kid. Supper’s getting cold. Darry made one of your favorites, spaghetti, and meatballs.”
It was sweet how much they cared on you when you were down, but damn was it suffocating sometimes. It was times like these when you wish you could run to your mom and ask her advice on it all. Boys were… boys and they often didn’t have a clue what ran through your head.
“I’m not hungry Soda. Maybe later, I’m working on homework.” You heard him sigh before walking away. You’d thought you would have gotten rid of them but another, much louder knock broke you away from the essay you were committed to finishing.
“Pony said you both skipped lunch to go to the movies. Come on down and get some dinner kiddo.” Darry’s much deeper voice spoke through the door. He tried twisting the knob but stopped when it wouldn’t budge. As much as he wanted to knock your door in he knew better. You weren’t like his brothers. No, you were so entirely different. He couldn’t treat you the same or you’d most likely find yourself a foster home instead.
“I had popcorn. I’m still full from that.” It wasn’t a lie. You weren’t hungry. You were uneasy and nervous. And wanted to finish the damn easy that you’d been staring at for the better part of three hours now.
“Alight kid, I’ll save you a plate.” He grumbled before beginning to walk away.
“Thanks Dar.” You hummed ignoring the lump forming at the back of your throat. You were so lucky to have your brothers who cared for you so deeply. You just wished they’d give you the space you needed.
And you thought they did before, yet another knock came to your bedroom door not thirty minutes later. With a huff you set the pencil down, “Go away Pony. I’m not in the mood.”
A laugh so distinct came from the other side of the door. That was certainly not Ponyboy, “Try again, sweetheart.” Dallas. Dallas freaking Winston. What had your brothers done?
Your palms began to sweat as your heartrate sped up rapidly, “What are you doing here?” It came out colder than you meant but Dally just found it amusing. He knew you couldn’t hurt a fly much less hurt him words. Albeit you might be the only person that could actually hurt him with words if you wanted to. Dally was soft for one person. You.
“I’m here for you.”
You sighed, “Go away. I’m not hungry. I don’t know who went and got you or called you or whatever. I’m not in the mood Dally.”
He put his head on your door knowing your mood was stemming from the argument earlier. He had snapped at you, and he felt bad. Especially after Darry of all people came knocking at his door pleading with him to come back to his place and talk to you.
His voice was low but he knew you could hear it, “You and I both know I’m not going away little Curtis. So, you can open that door and we can talk about it, or I can sit here all night waiting. Those are the options.” You heard his stubborn ass slide down the door. You knew they could most likely pick the lock or break down the door. But Darry wasn’t stupid. He knew it’d cause more harm than any good. You needed your safe space away from all the madness of being a greaser. A place you could lock yourself away from.
“Please,” Your voice cracked as fresh tears flowed down without you even noticing, “Just go away.”
You heard him click his tongue, “No can-do sweetheart. I gave you the options. Your turn to pick.” His voice was smug. Was he relishing in making you squirm? Neither was really an option. Both forced your hand. But then again this was Dallas. He got what he wanted.
You tried to turn back to your essay all you could think about was Dallas freaking Winston sitting on the opposite side of your door. You knew his stubborn ass wouldn’t leave either and that drove you nuts. You’d never be able to finish the essay or go to bed knowing he was sitting there just waiting on you.
With a heavy sigh you got up, walked towards the door, opened it without so much as a second thought and found him sitting right next to your door, “Go away.” You tried in your meanest voice, but it came out as a whisper.
He shook his head as he stood to his feet, “That’s not going to happen sweetheart.” He leaned against your doorframe pushing you back inside your room.
“Why can’t you guys just leave me alone for one night? One stupid night. That’s all I’m asking for!” You’d hardly ever raised your voice, but you were tired. Exhausted. Scared of the Soc’s that pulled a freaking knife out on you. Frightened because when you needed a helping hand all you got was a scolding voice.
“We’re worried about you is all. You got attacked. A knife pulled out on you…” He lowered his voice hoping it’d help settle down the rage he saw in your eyes. It was weird. Different. He was used to such a sweetness about you. He’d never seen you angry. Upset sure. But this was something entirely different.
Your eyes bugged, “You think I don’t know that? That maybe I just need some alone time away from all of this?” You didn’t hate being a greaser, no. That would never be the case. You loved your life with your brothers. You were just so damn tired of always being alert these days. Being a girl put you in a weird position with the greasers. The Soc’s never laid hands on you until today. It was startling. You’d always heard how dangerous the life was but today laid it out in front of you how truly dangerous it could be if you were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
He put his hands up in defense, “You need to calm down, Y/N.” His eyes shifted from one of a confident gaze to one that filled with concern
You wanted to slap him across his pretty little face, “You saying that is definitely not going to calm me down!” You were beyond frustrated now. You didn’t want to talk about it. You wanted him to leave you alone.
His eyes downturned as he saw your frigid stance. You were, for the first time he had recalled in his life, angry. Like angry, angry. Like you looked like you wanted to rip his head off angry, “Hey, I’m sorry. But I need you to relax a little. Sit down for me?” You were struck by his apology. Dallas Winston saying he’s sorry? You thought you’d so sooner be struck by lightning than hear those words come out of his mouth. The rage in your body calmed at that.
With an icy glare you sat down on your bed. You weren’t sure why you were listening to him. You were angry with him. He yelled at you when you needed sympathy. He’d scared you when you were already terrified. You thought the world of him, but that world came crashing down oh so quickly. You knew of the Dally he had hidden so well from you. Pony, Soda, and Darry would tell you stories all the time of how menacing he was. How he was so fearless in the face of it all. How could you not love on the man?
“Are you okay, Y/N?” He asked after shutting your bedroom door behind him. He knew your brothers were listening in, but it at least gave the illusion of a private conversation. Not that it mattered. They’d get the damn conversation out of one of the two of you eventually anyway. There was no privacy with the greasers.
“I’m fine.” You snapped at him, clearly not fine.
He shook his head giving you that damn chuckle that meant he knew you were lying, “I’m going with you’re not. You wanna tell me what’s the matter?” He asked once more. Stubborn.
“I want you to go away. That’s what I want.” The word weren’t as harsh this time. More like a soft rumble.
He sighed, “Come on Curtis. It’s just me. I know you and I know you’re not okay or fine or whatever word you wanna use. You can talk to me. It’ll be okay.” He grabbed for your hand that was nervously clutching the edge of your mattress giving it a comforting squeeze when his fingers locked with yours.
You felt the words coming on before you could stop them and soon you were rambling, “I’m overwhelmed Dally! I’m scared. I’m nervous. I don’t know if I’ll feel comfortable walking down the damned street anymore! And none of you will leave me alone to think about it!” You fired back exasperated. The building rage inside your eyes quieted down at the admission. You were terrified of what happened next. Everybody was always on edge these days. Life went from easy to hard in what felt like a night after your parents had left.
He opened his arms up, “Alright, come on. Come here pretty girl.” It didn’t take him much effort to pull you right into his embrace. In another instance you’d probably have fought him, but you were terrified and exhausted and his warm embrace was everything you needed. He pulled you closer before resting his head on yours, “It’s okay to be scared.” He whispered knowing that your nosey as hell brothers were likely sticking their ears to your door.
You closed your eyes letting the scent of his cologne mixed with the long day wash over you. So much more refreshing than the scent that washed over you earlier. Dally was always your comfort. No matter how harsh a day or words that were spat you knew you could count on him. No matter how mean you were to him either, “You yelled at me.” You felt another wave of tears come on. God, you felt so pathetic in his arms crying about being yelled at. Some greaser you were.
“I know.” He sighed giving you another reassuring squeeze, “You scared me. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you. I just let out my frustration out on you. I shouldn’t have done that. I should’ve been there to protect you.” He sounded a bit angrier not that he was getting it off his chest.
You pulled your head back gaping at his with a confused expression, “Is Dallas Winston apologizing?”
He gave you that soft smirk that you’d come to love, “If you tell someone I did, I’ll deny it.” He brushed the stray tears away with his thumb, “I don’t like it when you cry.”
You laid your head back down on his chest, “Don’t make me cry then.” Quipping back, you knew that wasn’t entirely fair. He wasn’t the sole reason you were in tears. But he was the reason you were crying then.
He leaned down whispering in your ear, “I’m sorry. Don’t cry. Please don’t cry. I can’t promise I’ll be perfect. You know I’m a fuck up. But I’ll try. I’ll always try for you.” There was no chance your brothers could hear him for you hardly could. Or maybe that was the rough pounding in your ears. He wanted it to stay between the two of you. He knew Darry would flip if he tried to make a pass at his sister. So, he’d keep his distance from you, for now. But he couldn’t promise to restrain himself if you made advances on him, he’d fold in an instant if you did.
“I believe you.” You fisted his shirt in your hands, grasping onto him. This certainly wasn’t what friends did. But it felt right to cling onto him. To mold into his touch and his embrace. Dally felt so incredibly meant for you the thought of not being with him hurt you.
He held onto you for just a bit longer before pulling back, “It’ll be okay. We’ll figure it out. You’ve got me. Your brothers. All those friends. You’ll be just fine.”
You gave him a quick nod brushing the fogginess out of your eyes, “Thank you Dally.”
“Always. Now come on, let’s go eat before Darry force feeds you.” He stood, unwrapping himself from you, holding his hand out for you to take.
“Darry would, wouldn’t he?” You smiled taking his hand in yours happily.
He gave you that look, “Let’s not find out.” Before pulling you out the door. To nobody’s surprise were all three Curtis brothers not even subtly eavesdropping in on the conversation right outside your door.
“All of you. Unbelievable.” Your laugh let them know they’d called just the right person to brighten your spirits. Darry knew it was only a matter of time before you realized that he was your person. The thought terrified him. The older you got the closer the two of you grew. But time and time again Dallas had shown Darry just how much he loved you too. His actions and his words showed just how much he actually did care for you.

AN: Okay but tell me you haven't gone somewhere and actually imagined this happened because you would be lying...
It is a Tuesday afternoon when your friends practically beg you to go to the women's basketball game.
"Come on, it will be fun," one of your friends says. You shake your head no without looking up from your biology paper.
"I need to finish this paper, it is due Friday and I am nowhere near close to done," you say, typing a sentence only to delete it immediately after. For some reason, this research paper is just not coming together.
"We already got you a ticket, you are going." Your roommate states knowing the real reason you don't want to go and it has nothing to do with your paper.
The truth is there is a girl on the team who you have been crushing on for a while now. The two of you are in the same business marketing class. She caught your eye pretty early on. The two of you ended up sitting next to each other and would make small talk whenever you got to class. It was never anything major but it was always the highlight of your day. You would get back to your room and immediately tell your roommate about your little conversation with the star athlete.
That was the thing, when you were in class she wasn't the superstar, she was just Caitlin. She would make you laugh with some silly little comment and you would talk to her like she wasn't the biggest person at the school. She made you feel seen and you made her feel heard.
You close your laptop and give your roommate the death stare. She knew you would say no but got you a ticket anyway - knowing you would never go to the game without being forced. This is your roommate's push to finally show your interest outside of your small talk in class. If you were to ask her, she was sick of hearing you always talk about Caitlin and never taking action to show her you actually liked her.
You give in, knowing your roommate isn't going to budge and will literally drag you there with her bare hands.
The group of you head back to your apartment and get ready. You opt for a simple look - jeans and a Hawkeye hoodie. Your friends on the other hand were dressed to impress. You check yourself out in the mirror and question if you should change. You decided against changing and instead grabbed a Hawkeye ballcap, hoping to blend in with the crowd and not be seen by your favorite player.
All of you decided to walk to the game, it wasn't more than 20 minutes away from your apartment. The closer you got to the stadium, the more nervous you felt. You have no idea why you are nervous, it is not like she is going to see you.
When you get there, you follow behind your group of friends. It is all kind of overwhelming - the crowd and how many people are here and how decked out in gear they are.
You are too caught up in the scene to realize that your group is being ushered to your seats. This is your first Iowa women's basketball game and you didn't realize how crazy your school went for this team. You know that there has been a lot of traction around Caitlin Clark and how she is changing the game for women. But what you are seeing, is truly amazing the effect she is having on people.
When you all get to your seats, you are mortified. At no point did your roommate or any of your other friends mention that you were sitting courtside. Having the perfect view of the court is nice when it comes to watching the game but not when it comes to hiding from your marketing crush.
You sit and glare at your roommate, who ignores you quite easily as she is in conversation with one of the guys you came with.
You pull your ball cap down and wish you could sink through your chair. This will be fine. You will be fine. There is no way she is going to notice you when she is focused on the game. You keep telling yourself this.
The team makes its way onto the court - the crowd goes wild. You watch as they come jogging out, starting to warm up. Your eyes scan the crowd for no.22. You see a few other girls that are familiar from classes and make a mental note to cheer them on. When you finally find Caitlin, your heart skips a beat.
She looks so good. This is 100% her in her element. The once so laid-back girl, now locked in and ready for what the next 2 hours hold. You are mesmerized by how calm she looks - like the thousands of fans here shouting her name are nonexistent.
Your eyes remain on her while they warm up. When their warm-ups come off and they take the court for the beginning of the game, something shifts in her.
You turn over to ask one of your friends a question about the team, missing the first glance that Caitlin gets of you sitting courtside for her game. She turns over to Kate, who is standing right next to her.
"That's her," is all Caitlin says and gives a little point to you. Kate follows her point to a girl who looks like she doesn't want to be seen. That's hard to do when you are literally sitting on the court.
Your attention goes back to the game as the girls go up for the tip-off. When the Hawkeyes take it, you feel yourself getting into the game. No one really knew you grew up playing in middle school and high school. You were never good enough to play in college but you enjoyed the sport. You left that part of you when you left high school.
It's not even 2 minutes into the game when you feel eyes on you. You turn to see your friends staring at you. You look back at them confused. Your roommate uses her head to signal to something on the court. You look and are surprised to see Caitlin looking right at you.
You feel a heat creep into your cheeks as you just stare at her. See it would have been a good idea to smile or nod. Hell, even wave but you just sat there staring at her with a blank expression.
She just smiles and lets out a little chuckle as she turns back to the game. She gets the ball and shoots a logo three no more than 10 seconds after you made a fool of yourself. When she turns to the crowd to celebrate, she points directly at you and then holds up a three with her other hand. Your roommate elbows your side as you hide your face.
This was everything you were terrified of, being seen.
"It looks like she has someone to play for," one of your friends gives you a little nudge.
"Guys there is no need to make this bigger than it is, she could be pointing to anyone over here, it isn't a big deal," you say in hopes that you will also believe your lies.
Your roommate scoffs. "You keep telling that to yourself sweetheart, she knows, we know and by the looks of it, the team also knows," she says as she nods over to the girls on the court.
All of your heads turn to see Caitlin, pointing to you again but this time talking to more girls on her team. They all look at you with smiles then break from their huddle and head back to their spots on the court.
Caitlin is running straight in your direction.
"Watch," you say referring to how you are not the center of attention to anyone.
Caitlin doesn't stop where she is supposed to be posted but rather runs straight to you with her hand out. Your hand comes out to give her a high five.
"Glad you could finally make it to one of my games," she says with a little smirk. "Only halfway through the season, better late than never." She gives you a wink before heading back to her post.
You feel like you could pass out. There is no way she just came up to you, mid-game, to be a little flirt.
"Looks like your girl Caitlin now has someone to dedicate her plays to," one of your friends teases you.
"Oh shut up," you say but that doesn't take away from the butterflies that build in the pit of your stomach.
Everyone turns back to the game and as you watch your team fight to keep the lead.
It seems like in every other play, Caitlin is turning her head to give you a smile or a smirk. You want time to stop so you can walk up to her and tell her to get her head in the game. There is no way she should be this distracted when the score is as close as it is.
The next play has a girl from the other team, pushing Caitlin causing her to fall on her backside right in front of you. You lean down to stop her from rolling into the chairs, your hand coming to her lower back and right arm as she slides right into you. When your hand touches her skin, you accidentally shock her - sending a little electrical current running through both of you.
One of her teammates comes to help her up and a foul is called. Before she goes to throw her free throws she turns to you, saying, "Thanks, babe."
Your friends, yet again, turn to look at you and you just wave them off.
The buzzer goes off as halftime commences. You are scrolling on your phone when someone approaches you.
"Hi, I was asked to come give this to you," the woman says as she hands you jersey. You give her a confused look, not taking it, but rather just looking at the article of clothing she is holding.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you are talking about," you say, genuinely confused.
"I was told by one of the players to give this to you to wear for the rest of the game," she says, signaling you to take the jersey. It is your roommate who takes it from the woman and lets her know you will put it on. The woman walks away and your roommate full-on turns to face you.
"You are putting on this jersey," she says, throwing it at you. You hear her mumble, "Just letting the poor woman stand there when she has better things to do. All you had to do was take the jersey." She seems annoyed at how naive you are being.
You look at the jersey that was just given to you - Clark 22 printed on the back. You slip it over your hoodie and slip your hat back on. You aren't going to deny the feeling you get when you first slip it on. And it is not like you are the only one wearing the number 22, there is a stand full of fans sporting the number as your marketing crush is the school's star.
When the team heads back out at the end of halftime, Caitlin's eyes go straight to you, making sure you got her little gift. She is pleased to see you wearing it.
As the third quarter begins, the team comes out hot, putting up 2 threes in the first minute. You are cheering them on louder than before.
After the next play, Caitlin comes your way.
"Much better," is all she says as she gives you another wink. You just smile at her, bringing your bottom lip in between your teeth. Caitlin's eyes go from yours, down to your lips. The smile she once wore, was now replaced with something between annoyance and longing. Every fiber of her being is telling her to walk up to you and pull that pretty little lip of yours out from your teeth and tell you that your lips are only for her to bite.
She finally looks away, realizing how much you are distracting her from the game. Kate runs up to Caitlin and whispers something into her ear, Caitlin nods and heads to grab water from the bench as the other team calls a time-out.
By the time the fourth quarter rolls around, you feel like you belong courtside. Your friends are still giving you a hard time whenever Caitlin looks your way or comes over to make a little comment to you. The game is nearing its end when Caitlin comes over to pass in the ball after a foul. She is standing right in front of you, so close you could touch her if you wanted.
She takes a small step back, her leg brushing up against yours. She steps up to the line and leans forward just enough to stick her ass out in your direction. This whole time, she has been the one in control. All that control went out the window when you bit your lip causing the super start to internally lose it. Her standing where she was, right in front of you, was no accident - she wanted you in the palm of her hand, not the other way around.
And boy did she have you. You sit there and just admire her body. Checking out her legs and how they are perfectly shaped. How her arms are beautifully toned and how she looks all around is incredible.
The game ends and the Hawkeyes take the win. The team rushes onto the court and begins celebrating with those who finished out the quarter.
You and your friends stand, stretching your legs. You had no intention of staying to see Caitlin after the game, thinking the team would go out to celebrate. You plan on giving Cait back her jersey the next class you two have together.
Your back is facing the court as you are waiting for your friends to grab their stuff when you feel a tug on your arm. You spin around and come face to face with none other than Miss Caitlin Clark.
She has a smile on her face and without warning, she grabs your waist and kisses you. Time stops and all the people in the background fade away. Your hands come up to her face as they cup her cheeks. You feel her bring your body closer to hers as she deepens the kiss. She gives your bottom lip a little bite as you break apart.
You stand there speechless. Dreaming of this kiss since the beginning of the semester, never in a million years imagined it would happen like this.
The most radiant smile is on her face. She leans in closer to you.
"My number is on the inside of this jersey. Call me, will you?" She asks as she looks at you for a response.
"Of course," is all you can say, still in shock about what has just happened.
"Good," she says. "I'll be waiting." She lets you go and gives your friends a wave before heading back to the team.
The whole walk home your friends can't stop talking about what had just unfolded before them. Some of them are as shocked as you are, while others are already planning your wedding.
When you get back to your room, you shoot Caitlin a text so she has your number.
[CC: I'm glad you didn't take long to shoot me a message}
{CC: Are you busy tomorrow? Want to work on our marketing paper if you haven't finished it yet?]
[You: That sounds great, I am quite behind 🤣]
[CC: Well I don't know if I will be much help, but I would rather do it with you than alone]
[You: I'm for it, meet at noon?]
She sends you her address. You like it and put your phone down to head to bed. Before you do, you hear your phone go off one more time. Grabbing it, you see one last message from Caitlin.
[CC: Sleep tight babe]
The next morning you wake up and go for a run. You needed to do something to help with the nerves that began to build just thinking about seeing Caitlin today.
You get back, shower, then get ready to meet her at her place. You make sure to stick her jersey in your bag to return to her and head out the door.
It only takes you about 15 minutes to walk to her apartment. When you get there you knock on the door.
She opens it with a huge smile, "Hi."
She lets you, opening her arms for a hug which you gladly shuffle into. It surpassed the length that friends would hug. As you pull away you decide to give her cheek a little peck.
After doing so is the first time you see her blush. You smile at her and continue to walk into her apartment.
The two of you decide to work on her couch - both struggling to get through this paper. You took frequent breaks talking about when you both started liking each other and more about your lives outside of marketing.
As you take another break, you grab your phone and decide to look her up only to find edits of you and her from the night before.
Your cheeks heat up immediately as you hide your face in your hands.
"What?" She says trying to look over at your screen. You hand her your phone and she laughs a little, followed by an 'awww'.
"I can't believe there are people out there who are making full-on edits of us." You say with a little groan - the spotlight is not your thing.
"They are cute," she says as she keeps scrolling through your phone. "Look at this one!"
You lean into her and look at what she is talking about. It is a clip of you before halftime, wearing your Hawkeye sweatshirt then jumps to after halftime when you are wearing Caitlin's jersey.
"I am sure glad I gave you my jersey," she says with a little smirk.
"That reminds me, I brought it back for you," you say, moving to grab it from your bag. She grabs your arm and brings you back into her.
"That one is for you to wear to the rest of my games," she says like it is a known fact. You decide to tease her a bit.
"And what makes you think I want to go watch you play again?" You ask.
She gives you a little pout - which literally melts you.
"Because you are my new good luck charm," she says and leans in closer to you. Your breathing becomes uneasy.
"But you don't need luck," you say just above a whisper. Your eyes going in between hers and her lips.
"You're right..." she says, also looking at your lips. Her eyes make their way back to yours. "I don't need luck, but I need you."
She leans in and kisses you. This kiss is much more reserved than the one she planted on you last night. There was no rush or urgency in this kiss, it was quite pleasant.
You inhale and bring your forehead to hers.
"I am all yours."
AN: I really like how this came out! Let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

gojo learning what a home smells like, mentions of food, not much dialogue except for the ending, kind of selfship coded bc this was supposed to be a talk post but then i kind of rambled and this came out so it’s not proofread and that’s that
Tumblr media
each home has a specific scent to it.
you know, the one that builds over time, the so-called occupant odor that fills the air after a while of people living in it. it’s the aroma of the ingredients you use and the spices you often put into your dishes, the freshly washed clothes and especially that one detergent that is always a must, the cleaning products you use, and the scent of those who inhabit the house all combined that sticks behind and makes it so distinct. makes it smell like home.
but satoru’s house smelled empty. too empty in fact. it smelled clean, too clean for someone who’s lived there for years now. almost like a newly renovated apartment that’s been deprived of human presence for too long and it’s just the sharp scent of paint and construction materials that hits your nostrils when you walk in. a housekeeper would come by once in a week to take care of the place, not that there was much to do around — it was pretty clean. nobody cooked there — his fridge was almost empty, only water bottles in it. nobody did the laundry — everything was sent to the dry cleaning. nobody was there enough for their scent to sink in, even he himself. his house never felt like home to him. it was simply a place for him to shortly crash at. like a hotel of some sort, a place he’d only use to shower and sleep while for the rest of the time he’d be out going on missions, putting his life in danger.
that was, until you came into his life.
at first it was only short stayovers. you would spend a night or two at his place each week. but it was enough for it to start layering and spreading around — the scent of you, of him, of you together. when you came into his life out of literally nowhere, he would start going out of his way and take on less missions so he could be with you, more — so you would stay over and make dinner, ask about his favorite dish and then cook it for him the next time.
you would make pancakes in the morning. you would get your favorite ingredients and put them in his fridge. you’d get some blueberries and bananas, little bit of feta cheese even. you would place jars of powdered sugar and honey into the empty shelves in his kitchen. and little bit by bit the room would start to fill — some oats and cinnamon for autumn days, peanut butter because it goes so well with apples, a little bit of oregano for when you make baked potatoes, a little bit of garlic because it makes any dish taste better, some olive oil and lemons because that’s your go-to dressing for when you make salads, and some tahini for when you’re feeling posh but then realize it doesn’t taste quite right in some meals but eat it anyway.
little bit by bit his house would start feeling less empty and more like home.
you’d bring extra clothes for the day after the stayover and then forget the old ones there. he would buy you pajamas for when you come by so you don’t have to bring yours every time or wear a shirt of his when you don’t or sleep naked (not that he minds it). you would wash them all in the laundry, together with his clothes and yours, the ones you had left behind from before. but you would always need that one softener, you know, the one you absolutely refuse to wash your clothes without because it smells so good, and then you would put your pajamas and his next to each other on the bed and the clothes — in his wardrobe, and the room would smell so good and it would start feeling like home to him.
but.
no matter how much of yourself you left behind, it still felt kind of empty, especially on days when you weren’t around tiptoeing quickly from the bedroom to the bathroom in the mornings for a quick pee before coming back to bed and nuzzling into his chest, when you weren’t around dancing in his kitchen experimenting with a new salad dressing once again, when you weren’t around asking him to open jars, when you weren’t around for his eyes to see and his arms to embrace in the morning.
it was then when these four walls felt so foreign and nothing like home to him. the house still smelled familiar but not completely. just like a bland dish — you eat it and it gives your body the needed nutrients but doesn’t quite fill you up because there’s just something missing.
and tonight he decided to chase after the missing ingredient.
“so, listen”, he said while casually grabbing some greens through the salad with his chopsticks, “i am going to make you an offer you can’t refuse”
“if it has anything to do with me doing the dishes tonight and you folding the laundry tomorrow, i am out”
“love”, he paused, “who washes dishes by hand when there’s a dishwasher?”
“rich people like you might not know of this, but we, ordinary people, do not use the dishwasher for just three plates. we use our hands, a sponge and a dishwashing liquid”, you flashed a polite but sarcastic smile at him.
“okay, ordinary person that i love so much, then how about this”, he swallowed his bite and continued, “you move in and start being extraordinary with me?”
“we’re not using the dishwasher for three plates”, you raised your chopsticks and brought them threateningly close to his face, “but okay. i can move in here and start using your credit card more reasonably”

something that i think people don't understand abt manifesting is that you really need to forget abt the "how"
i want to share something that happened recently at work. as many of you know, im working my dream job that i manifested in the void. the coworkers are great, the pay is amazing, i do like the work im doing and i manifested being really good at it too BUT recently i kind of hit a block mentally. there wasn't really anything i disliked and i couldn't even explain what i felt and why i felt this way.
i talked to some friends but all they could suggest is getting a new job but that wasn't it either.
anyways i know LOA and i can even enter the void. i didn't enter the void for this issue because i didn't know what i wanted so one night, when i was contemplating this entire issue, i decided no more. i just knowingly told myself that i would start loving my job and did SATS for it.
within the next day, a coworker announced she was moving to a different company. and by coworker, i meant a huge boss. this threw our entire company into a frenzy and it was determined that my department was to take on some of her stuff. all of us had our responsibilities moved around and i got some new tasks.
these new tasks are so fun! and i also came into realization as to what was troubling me. i work in data analytics, meaning i look at all my company's data and i analyze trends or anything else people need. i manifested being insanely good at coding and having an easy time with projects so i really like this job but i kinda didn't see any results of my work. i would do all this work and then hand it off to someone and just start doing something else. however, one of my new responsibilities is actually seeing what happens with my data, seeing what people do with it, and I'm now able to directly speak to some people in meetings and such and emphasize my thoughts. when i first manifested everything in the void, it was coming from a girl who was pretty insecure and shy and liked to keep to herself. im still an introvert (ig that never really leaves you) but now im way more confident and ig i really wanted to talk to people and push my ideas more.
not to mention, these new responsibilities opened up a whole new coworker circle for me. don't get me wrong, i love my coworker friends but it's always fun to meet newer people and i met some really nice people who are changing the way i think professionally but are also great people in general.
i also got my equipment upgraded and i never realized how annoying my old equipment was until i experienced the new equipment.
anyways i could go on and on but the point im trying to make is "don't worry about the how." i literally didn't even know why i was feeling down and if you had asked me before if that coworker would be leaving, i would have said no. she's been working there for 20+ years and she always loved her job and had amazing benefits so no one saw this coming, but i did talk to her and she said she always wanted to try a different industry and she finally got the opportunity. not to mention, my department and her department aren't even closely related. ig my department knows a little bit of everyone's stuff because we look at everyone's data but we were totally blindsided when we were first told thar we were the ones that were going to help take over, esp such a high level person's job.
this is a side story but one night, i just really wanted some cookies. ig i was having midnight munchies but the cookies were 25 miles away and there was just no way it was happening. anyways i fell asleep knowing that i was going to get the cookies the next day and i was just thinking of doordash or grabbing them myself but when i woke up, the cookies were on the kitchen table. before everyone starts hating and asking how those cookies appeared out of nowhere, apparently my friend was in the area and thought of me so she grabbed me some as soon as they opened and left it on my kitchen table.
so seriously, stop worrying about the how and what ifs and just go straight to your desire.

Sorry, i'm late
Pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!reader
Summary: You are late to your first date with Spencer and he misunderstands it as you standing him up
Warnings: language, angst, fluff, mentions of food, use of y/n and pet names
Words: 1k Masterlist
A/N: English is not my first language, so please excuse any grammar/spelling mistakes
Tumblr media
It was your first date with Spencer, the cute, a little shy neighbour. You didn't know him long, only since you'd bumped into him one late night.
You were dragging a huge pot for your new plant to your also new apartment and Spencer just came from a case. Somehow, you started a small talk and it went from there.
One day, he gathered enough courage to ask you out and when you didn't immediately respond, he was ready to apologise and run away. But you said yes with a big grin, you liked Spencer a lot, so of course you said yes.
But the date didn't start the way, you thought it would have, like at all. You were late and you felt like crying because of it.
Your car decided not to work just when you went to leave. Then you went to call a taxi, but your phone was fucking dead.
You couldn't drive there, you couldn't call a taxi and most importantly you couldn't even call Spencer to let him know, that you were running late.
You literally ran to the closest bus stop and got on the first bus, which's stop was the nearest to the restaurant, you were supposed to meet at.
You looked worriedly at your watch, you didn't know if you were thankful or not for at least it working, 'cause it showed, that you were 20 minutes late.
Your leg was bouncing as you impatiently waited for the bus to stop. As soon as the door opened, you bolted out of there and sprinted to the restaurant. By the time you got there, your lungs were burning and your side hurt.
You wasted no time to go inside and look for him, but you couldn't find him.
"Umm miss, can i help you with something?" a waiter asked you.
"Yes, my friend made a reservation here? Reid, Spencer Reid?" you questioned, hoping he'd still be there.
"I'll look..." he looked at some paper and you nervously bit your lip,"Ah yes, table six. But i think your friend has already left."
Your face fell, god you felt so stupid for accidently standing him up, " y-you wouldn't happen to know when he left, would you?"
"I think it was around 5 minutes ago."
"Thank you so much..." you stumbled with a frown out of there, mad at yourself. Spencer probably thought you just said yes to make fun of him.
And indeed, he really thought that. Spencer anxious waited for you. The first ten minutes, he still thought you were coming, it was normal for people to be late. But when 10 minutes turned into 25, he gave up.
He really thought, you would come and worse he thought, you actually liked him. A big mistake as it appeared.
He payed for the water, he ordered and went home. The embarrasment was nowhere near as big as the dissapointment, he felt. Swallowing hard, he drove home and slumped on his couch, running his hands through his hair in frustration.
You on the other hand were running (speed walking, 'cause your stamina was gone) through the city again. You couldn't let Spencer think you stood him up, there was no way you'd let that happen.
And to your 'luck' it even started raining. You felt like the biggest fucking joke. You got to your apartment complex in record time. You were soaked to the bone and gasping for air, but still very determined to explain everything to Spencer.
You quickly knocked on his door. You stood there, a water puddle formed under you, while you waited for him to open. He didn't.
You could hear the sounds coming from the inside and you saw his car parked outside, so you knew, he was home.
You tried again, this time calling his name out, too.
You heard a shuffle of stuff and then the door swung open, " Yes?" He asked, avoiding looking at you.
"I'm so-"
"We don't need to do this. I get it, you didn't want to go out, it's okay" he went to close the door, but you put your hand on the door.
"Please y/n, j-just leave" he pleaded quietly. It wasn't the first time, someone played a cruel prank on him.
"B-but i did want to go out with you, i really did," you sighed and he looked at you for the first time, surprised to see you all wet and he clearly didn't believe you.
"I mean it. I was ready to leave, but my car wouldn't start. So I wanted to call you, let you know i was going to be late and then call taxi, but my phone was dead, well still is," you pulled it out of your pocket, finding it also drowned now, " So then i got on the first bus and ran to the restaurant. You weren't there a-and i asked the waiter, he said you left around 5 minutes ago. So I quickly ran here, hoping to explain, "
You didn't even notice, that Spencer started smiling halfway through your explanation as you rambled, looking everywhere but Spencer.
"I was really looking forward to the date, Spencer. I would never stand you up like that "you paced anxiously from one foot to the other, eyes fixed on the floor.
"You ran to the restaurant?" Spencer  asked, astonished and amused.
"Well yeah," you sheepishly admited, "as i said, i was excited about the dinner."
Spencer couldn't stop smiling, he was so relieved to find out, it was just a misuderstanding, " W-would you like to come inside for a pizza?"
"What?" you looked at up in confusion at Spencer and found him softly smiling at you.
"I'm not mad at you, i believe you" he said.
"Really?"
"Yes, so would you like to come over for pizza?"
"Definitely," you said, maybe too quickly, but you didn't really care,"just give me a second. I have to change out of these" you gestured at your soaked clothes.
"Great, i'll leave the door open, yeah? So you can just walk inside" he beamed at you. Spencer was glad, that you said yes to this back up plan.
"Okay, i'll be right back" you sprinted to the elevator with a big smile, making Spencer chuckle at you.
Maybe the date didn't start the way you imagined it would, but the rest of it was better than your expectations.

Chapter 3 - Head out the Window
After you were allowed to leave the building, you and Vito headed back to the hotel. Your heart was racing at what seemed to be a million miles per hour. You could barely focus on anything. The radio was too noisy, but not loud enough at the same time. The usual calming effect of the car was not doing its job. Your finger nails found solace in picking at the loose skin around your nails. You hadn’t even felt the car stop until Vito said it was time to get out.
Yet, when you looked up, the hotel building was nowhere in sight.
“Do you just plan to drop me off and see if I make it back to the hotel alive?” you quipped. He shook his head before gesturing to the small shop that stood in front of you. The big words Ice Cream stood out in the neon lighting.
“I thought a little celebration was due.” He shrugged his shoulders. On this inside, you were practically melting at the mention of ice cream. It had been entirely too long since you had some. Your diet always came first, but as of right now, you weren’t on one. Celebrations were in store. Yes, you had one more race weekend, but ice cream was more important.
You and Vito walked inside, a little bell announcing your presence. The worker behind the counter looked as though he didn’t even want to be there. But, he took your orders quickly and you both were in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Not wanting to get back into the car, you found a little table to sit at. Sure, the table and chairs were off balance and probably hadn’t been cleaned in years, but it worked for the time being.
“I still can’t believe you got chocolate of all flavors. It’s literally so basic,” you berated him as you licked at your own ice cream cone.
Vito gave you a look. “It is not. It is a classic. And says the one who got the most boring flavor of cookie dough with sprinkles.”
“At least it tastes good. Do you just like it or are you a picky eater?” You squinted your eyes and gave a smile. You thought you had gotten the last laugh as you got back to your ice cream. But a cold sensation on your nose startled you. Vito leaned back, laughing hysterically, while holding his ice cream that had a nose-shaped dent in it.
You couldn’t help but laugh with him too as you tried to shove your ice cream in his face. He was much quicker though and was able to evade your attacks.
Your breathes evened out a couple of minutes later, and a comfortable silence enveloped the two of you. Until you inhaled sharply.
“Why didn’t you tell me? About the contact.” You looked over, eyes boring into his. You wanted the truth and not some half-assed answers. But, you knew that he wouldn’t do that. Not about a discussion like this.
He finished his ice cream before answering.
“Because I know you. You would have driven yourself into the ground with training and overthinking if you had known there was a possibility that there might have been an offer.”
You did not answer, because you knew he was right. If there was even a slight glimmer of hope for a 2024 seat, it didn’t even have to be with a big team, you would have gotten stuck in your head. The overthinking would have taken over, and it might have cost you your championship.
“You’re one of the best drivers out there Y/n. You just need to realize that.” He put a hand on your shoulder as you turned to him.
“Thank you. Again, for everything. I hope you know that this means I’m not getting rid of you.” You shone a smile at him. You couldn’t image a life without him. He was there for you for all of your accomplishments. What you didn’t know is that he felt the same way. Vito always thought that you were the daughter he never got. And he was thankful for you as well.
“Never kid, never.”
Your ice cream had dripped all over your hand by now. Sighing, you tried to clean up the mess. Soon enough, your ice cream and cone were gone.
Vito looked over to you, “We better head back to the hotel. You have a couple of busy days coming up.”
You only nodded as you used stood from the outside chair, the metal scraping against the concrete.
“When do you think I’ll get to meet them?” you ask as you climb back into the car.
“Meet who kid?” Vito responded as the car came to life. You quickly put on your seatbelt before he carefully pulled out of the parking spot.
“You know…Max and Checo?” You nervously twirled your fingers. What would they think of you? You know that Checo wouldn’t have much thought, or would he – since you were the one taking his seat. Maybe he thought that Red Bull could have chosen better.
Max was who you were most nervous about. His teammate would no longer be older than him, or have more experience. He would be paired with a rookie, in both experience and age. Six years younger and no previous chances in Formula 1. And to put a cherry on top, a female. All that he knew in a teammate, would be gone and reconstructed.
“They’re both nice. I don’t think you’ll have any problems with either of them kid.”
“Will I have to call Max, Mr. Verstappen? Since he’s older and such.”
Vito let out a giant laugh, shoulders shaking as he pulled up to a red light. The bright crimson shone on two of you.
Once he had stopped laughing, Vito was able to say, “No kid. I don’t think so.”
You sighed in relief. They were older yes, but not that much older. Oscar was only two years older than you. However, you might have to call Fernando Mr. Alonso. The age gap was considerably larger.
Would you even make friends on the grid? Or would they avoid you to stay out of the media. You bet that the moment you’re seen with one of them, dating rumors would spread. And you didn’t want to upset them, or the grid’s respective girlfriends. You shuddered at the thought.
The rest of the drive was silent. You figured that tomorrow would go well. You would be fitted for a Red Bull suit and would be given the green light to drive your first F1 car.
The first.
It had a nice ring to it.
The drive continued on for a bit. You leaned up and pressed the power button for the radio. The distinct sound of “What Makes You Beautiful” filled the vehicle. Your grin grew as you started to sing the familiar lyrics. Vito smiled as well, more-so mouthing the words while you all but screeched.
“BABY YOU LIGHT UP MY WORLD LIKE NO BODY ELSE!,” you sang along with the well-known boy band. Your window suddenly was rolled down. You had the grand idea to stick your head out the window.
“YOU DON’T KNOW, OH-OH, THAT’S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL!” The wind picked up your hair and pushed it back into your face. Sure, it was now sticking to your lip gloss, but right now you didn’t care. Until you pulled up to another red light, and there were multiple guys in the car next to you. You flashed an embarrassed smile before clamoring back into the car. Your finger could not find the button for the window any faster.
Across from you, Vito had started laughing again with full body shakes. For the life of you, your window would not go up. Looking over, you could see Vito’s finger pressed down on the button for your window. You reached across the dash and swatted at his hand, desperately trying to get your window rolled up.
Finally, the tinted thing slowly but surely reached the top of the window. You looked over at Vito with a look of betrayal. You reach over and hit his shoulder. He, in comparison, is still shaking with laughter.
“You bitch!” you barely shouted, the words covered by giggles. Ok, it was kind of funny, but not really. “I literally just embarrassed myself in front of those boys.”
“They probably thought you were very pretty,” he said, snickering. You could only look in disbelief at your manager. You refused to look back over until you knew that the car had definitely passed. Your arms were crossed and lip in a pout for the remainder of the drive.
Vito looked over at you. “Don’t be like that kid. It was all in good fun.”
You mumbled back, “For you sure.” The pout however was relaxed and a grin replaced it. You couldn’t be mad at him for very long. It had been a while since you were allowed to have a bit of fun.
Winning races was fun, but that was your job, that took up most of your year and free time. You never noticed how far the drive way the first time. A yawn escaped your mouth and your hand quickly came up to cover it. You definitely needed to sleep well tonight.
Thankfully, the car came to a halt in front of the hotel. Vito turned to you as you unbuckled your seatbelt.
“You better get some good sleep. Tomorrow is going to be fun but exhausting.”
You mocked a salute and said, “Sir, yes sir. You have a good night as well. See you in the morning?”
“Yes, I will. Goodnight kid.”
“Night Vito.” You shut the door and watched as he went to park the car. Why he didn’t use the complementary valet, you hadn’t a clue. But that wasn’t your problem.
You were quickly let into the building once you scanned your card. The people at the front desk greeted you as you made your way to the elevator. It didn’t take long for it to ding, signaling your arrival to your floor. The pristine carpet led you to your white hotel room door.
Using the card again to get into the room, you opened the door once the lock had whirred.
The sight of your bed almost had you in tears. The stress of today was now hitting you as you walked to the bed. Following in George Russel’s F1 intro footsteps, you put your arms out and fell face first into the soft top blanket. You could have honestly fallen asleep here, but you knew you needed to take off your makeup first.
You let out a groan as your body protested moving. Your skin care and toiletries had already been set out, since you used them earlier to freshen up after the flight.
Deciding not to do every single step to your skin care routine, you took out the micellar water and a reusable cotton round. Once your makeup was off, you quickly washed your face and changed into some pajamas.
Funny enough, they consisted of some shorts and a Red Bull shirt that you had been given during Dams’ Christmas gift exchange. It had come from Ollie and Arthur both, but you knew that Arthur wouldn’t be caught buying anything with the RB logo on it.
Now he’d have to get used to it.
Oh my gosh. What would Arthur think.
Were you allowed to tell your best friend? You guessed that he could find out early, but you didn’t want to get in trouble for anything just yet. He could find out with the rest of the world. Maybe you could ask Christian if you could tell him the night you posted something before Red Bull came out with an official statement.
Before bed, you found yourself scrolling through Twitter and Instagram. A couple of posts made you laugh out loud. You caught your finger hovering over some posts that talked about “connecting the dots” that were scarily accurate. What you would give to like at least one to send Twitter into a frenzy. But, you withdrew your finger and decided to jump onto TikTok.
A few videos made you chuckle. Especially the McLaren one of Lando and Oscar trying to build card houses. Lando’s goggles were hilarious.
To think that in a couple of months, they would be your “co-workers.” That was terrifying. At least you had met Charles a couple of times through Arthur. He was…nice. You hadn’t really spoken to him much the last time you saw him at Arthur’s birthday party. If anything, you think you might have said a maximum of 10 words to him the entire night.
But that was a start.
You eventually scrolled through almost all of the new posts. Looking over, you noticed that the clock read 12:30 a.m. Quickly, you set an alarm for the next morning before putting your phone on the charger.
Vito would kill you in the morning if you hadn’t slept well. You closed your eyes and fell asleep, dreaming of the life you were able to be thrown into.
At least you could get a red bull if you were tired.

Steve Harrington x Reader
Summary: She walked in on a Friday afternoon. Steve needed nothing more than to get to know her--if only he could find it in himself to speak to her.
Word Count: 5k
Warnings: just pure fluff, mentions of murder (but not frfr)
A/N: no this isn't based on a big time rush song you're crazy anyway!! I think this is my first real Steve fic? The first real one I got around to posting I guess. Cheers!
__
It was a Friday afternoon.
Correction, it was a terribly busy Friday afternoon. Family Video was seemingly the place to be, people swarming the building in hopes of renting new releases for their perspective weekends. Steve usually loathed his Friday shifts for this exact reason, countless questions about the new tapes, a dozen or so mothers berating him when a certain movie is out of stock—as if Steve Harrington himself is the reason behind the madness.
But, this afternoon was different.
This afternoon she walked in.
He had enough of the madness, leaving Robin all alone to deal with the wolves for a mere five minutes—he needed to get out of there. With his head in his hands, he sat on an unopened box filled to the brim with different assortments of candy—candy he needed to stock sometime today, a fact he surely couldn’t have forgotten even if he tried. Only two minutes into his escape, Robin came bounding in the backroom, a wild look grazing her eyes.
“Steve,” she nearly panted. “You gotta take over for a minute. This woman is just—ugh—not taking no for an answer! I told her we don’t have The Breakfast Club in stock, but oh no, why trust the employee who rented all ten copies earlier today? Huh? How about we give the girl who makes a little over three bucks an hour a hard fucking time!” Robin was rambling at this point, the words falling deaf on Steve’s ears.
“Robs,” Steve groaned, finally looking up at his friend. “Give me another minute, I have a nasty headache—”
“Me too, Harrington,” Robin sighed, plopping down on the box next to him. “Her name’s probably Debra and she’s a beast in fake leopard print.”
Steve snorted with laughter. “Fine, I’ll head back out there,” he stood up, dramatically dusting off his jeans. “I just don’t know why the hell our help wanted sign hasn’t brought in more folks, we’re dying out here.”
“No one wants to work for Keith,” Robin said simply.
“Damn straight,” Steve pointed, pushing his way back onto the sales floor. The leopard printed demon was nowhere to be seen, much to Steve’s utter relief—he didn’t have the energy to fight her off anyway. Finding his way behind the counter, the doorbell rang out, a pavlovian response nearly spilled from Steve’s lips. “Welcome to Family Vid—”
His heart stopped.
She was gorgeous, like she just stepped out of a magazine ad—the one’s his mom bought, not the trashy shit they sell down at the gas station. Sunglasses adorned her temple like a crown, her hair perfectly falling around the pink lenses. Steve didn’t know what to say, it felt as if he simultaneously forgot all the words in the English language and stuffed seventeen Saltines in his mouth—he was tongue tied.
“Uh, hi,” the girl said softly, waving towards the frozen spectacle behind the counter. “I saw you have a help wanted sign outside?”
Steve could only nod, making a good effort to keep his jaw from falling on the floor.
“Well,” she smiled, the kind that would make babies giggle at the sight, “I just moved here and sorta need a job so…” A resume was placed on the counter before him. It looked professional—way more than what Family Video could ever hope to ask for from an applicant, anyway. Steve couldn’t stop reading it. She was literally an angel, an answer to his very prayers—every one of them. If he had the power to hire her on the spot, he’d be tossing her a green vest from the back without a second thought. Part of him was cursing the fact Keith wasn’t here to interview her this very second, he needed to get to know this girl.
“I-I…” Steve tried to speak, feeling his cheeks grow inflamed with embarrassment. He wasn’t used to being so… foolish around a girl.
“Steve, is it?”
She knew his name.
Of course he knew she read it off his name tag, he wasn’t that thick, but hearing it come straight from her lips? He could have melted directly into the floor and no one could have stopped him.
“Yeah, this doofus here’s Steve, I’m Robin,” Robin appeared by his side, seemingly in the knick of time. “Don’t worry about him, we’re getting him the help he needs.”
The mystery girl giggled. “Ah, I see.”
“You want to apply here?” Robin asked, prying the resume from Steve’s—reluctant—hands. “Oh thank God, we’re dying for more bodies around here.”
“I love movies,” she explained quickly, noting how intently Robin was reading over her simple paper. “A-and I used to work at a movie theater back home before moving here, so I know a lot about the recent releases—”
“I’m gonna be honest,” Robin said, leaning onto the counter, voice dripping with secrecy. “You’re probably too good for this place, I mean, way too good for this shit-hole—”
“I need a job,” she repeated, almost desperately. “My folks forced me to move here and I’m trying to save up to get my own place back in Chicago, I’m not built for this small-town bullshit.”
This made Robin explode with laughter and Steve shrivel in despair. She had an expiration date—a way out of Hawkins.
“Well, I’ll make sure to pass this off to our manager—with a glowing recommendation, of course,” Robin winked.
“I appreciate it!” She smiled again, the sight nearly had Steve wishing he had his own pair of sunglasses to wear—it was blinding. “Well, I hope to see you guys around?”
“We’ll be here!” Robin called out, watching the girl walk back towards the door and out towards her car. A hand smacked across Steve’s bicep.
“Hey!” He finally responded, rubbing the aforementioned spot. “What the hell?”
“I should bring that whiteboard out of retirement,” Robin arched her brow. “You’re positively hopeless, Steve Harrington. What the fuck was that all about?”
“I don’t know, Robs,” Steve sighed. “She was just—I didn’t even know what to say!”
“Clearly,” she snorted. “You looked like a gaping trout—”
“I did not—”
“This was worse than the girl who asked for a Mint-Choco Deluxe and you handed her a straight scoop of ice cream—no cone. I had to practically chase her out with a stack of napkins and a thousand apologies.”
Steve cringed at the memory. “Maybe…”
“When Keith hires her—and you know he’s gonna—you better get your act together. I don’t wanna deal with…this every day.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Steve waved. “Sure.”
And deal with it, she did.
(Y/N) was her name, Steve had the pleasure of unpacking her new name tag for her first day. He almost wanted to keep it, but figured it would make him look like a crazed lunatic. Patiently, he waited by the front door, hoping to see her pull up in her car, ready and rearing for her first day on the job. Steve begged Robin to allow him the pleasure of training her, given he could somehow speak in her presence, of course. She simply rolled her eyes and agreed to the shift exchange.
A shiny, cherry-red BMW peeled into the lot—Steve noted it looked awfully familiar to his own car, minus the color of course. It seemed a bit out of place in a small town like Hawkins, but the car had suited her just fine. Everything about her suited her kindly, Steve had noticed, especially the clothing she wore. Family Video was no place for a fashion show, Steve could attest to that himself, but with the way she was practically strutting towards the doors? The parking lot was her runway and he was begging to see more.
“Good morning!” (Y/N) greeted cheerfully, pushing the glass door open wide.
“Morning,” Steve managed to squeak out. He pushed the unflattering green vest towards her. “Your uniform.” She easily slipped the fabric over her own shirt, the stark whiteness of her blouse really made the green pop.
“Well?” She spun around, twirling like a princess. “Do I look the part?”
Steve could only nod.
“So what’s the first thing on the agenda? Do y’all have a time clock?”
Steve nodded again, pointing his thumb towards the break room.
“Ok..ay…” She said quietly, walking in the direction she was given.
He could cry—it was so pathetic. The way this girl had him so worked up? How was he expected to train her? No, forget training her, how was he supposed to even talk to her? Steve had been in pickles before, but this one took the cake.
“So you just… don’t speak then?”
She had managed to sneak up behind Steve, who had clearly been deep in thought. Her angelic voice alone made him jump.
“I-I speak,” Steve explained. “I just… have a lot on my plate currently, s’all.”
“I’m sure working at the Family Video is real hard work, superstar,” she giggled, jumping up onto the countertop. “But I’m glad I don’t have to understand your training through charades."
“I’m pretty good at charades,” Steve said, crossing his arms. “O-or so I’m told…”
“I’ll take your word for it,” she smiled. “But seriously, I really thought you just didn’t want to talk to me or something.”
That couldn’t have been farther from the truth.
“So… I should probably show you the computer system for rentals,” Steve tried changing the subject—poorly, but she graciously turned her attention to the computer she so-conveniently sat next to. “Y’know, because that’s like, the entire job.”
The girl leaned in, not daring to remove herself from the counter top, trying to see what Steve was clicking on.
“You seem tense,” she noticed.
“It takes me a while to get warmed up to new people,” he lied.
“What? Like a cat?”
“…exactly like a cat.”
“Well, Steve,” she hopped off the counter, “it’s a good thing I like cats.”
He tried his best to hide the redness flooding his cheeks.
She made Family Video more enjoyable, even after her first shift, Steve thought. He already liked the job enough, spending time with his best friend and getting paid for it was already a huge perk, but now that he got to know her? He might just keep this job forever.
Forever lasted only four months.
“Steve!”
He peeked his head over the horror aisle, finding (Y/N) staring at him expectantly from the front counter.
“Yes?”
“I’m dying over here,” she said dramatically, falling over on the countertop. “It’s so… boring.”
“It’s a Monday morning,” Steve said simply, commanding every fiber in his being to not shrug at the statement. “Mondays are usually boring around here.”
“Everything about Hawkins is boring,” she said, not lifting her face up from the counter. “How do you manage living in this God-forsaken town?”
“I don’t think everything is boring,” Steve scoffed, ignoring the rest of the tapes that needed to be put away. His feet were already leading him towards the counter, as if they had a mind of their own. “I mean, I doubt you’ve run through everything this town's got to offer?”
She lifted her head up from the counter, a red mark gracing her forehead. “In the last four months of living here? I think I have. Hell, the one cool place y’all could have had burned to the ground.”
Steve winced at the mention of StarCourt, the wounds still fresh. “It wasn’t that cool…”
“Fine,” (Y/N) propped herself up, head in her hands, “name one cool place in Hawkins.”
“Skull Rock.”
He doesn’t know why he said it.
“Skull Rock?”
“Uh, yeah,” Steve sheepishly said, hand finding the back of his neck quickly. “It’s the go-to for the coolest kids in Hawkins—made popular by yours truly.”
“And what exactly is Skull Rock?” Her arms were neatly crossed by the time he managed to look back at her.
A make-out spot.
“A-an… experience?” Steve squeaked, trying his best to sound cool. “It’s hard to explain, you just kinda gotta go and see for yourself.”
“Huh,” she tutted. “Why haven’t I heard of this Skull Rock until now? Certainly if it was as neat as you say it is I would’ve heard about it by now.”
“It’s underground,” Steve tried to convince her. “Not physically, I mean. It's above ground, I promise. Underground in the sense that only the cool kids know about it.”
She snorted. “Cool kids?”
“Y-yeah,” He tried to double down.
“As in, like, high schoolers?”
“Other people besides high schoolers can be cool kids, y’know,” Steve said, trying his best not to cough.
“Maybe I’ll ask Robin about it when she comes in—”
“I could take you?” Steve is quick to interject. “To Skull Rock, I mean. Tonight, if you’re free.”
A smile crept across her ruby red lips. “Like a date?”
“Pshht, no,” Steve waved. “Like a thing friends do! An activity of sorts.”
“Sounds like a date.”
“An activity,” Steve corrected, feeling queasy at the thought she may actually say yes.
As if mulling over her options for the evening, (Y/N) stared directly into Steve Harrington’s brown eyes, pinning him to the spot with such a glare. “Hm. Alright.”
“A-alright?”
“Do you think I have to change for this ‘activity’?” (Y/N) motioned her hands up and down her body, giving Steve actual permission to fully look at her. Her outfit was already sensible enough—she was here to work, after all—he didn’t ever see a reason for her to change.
“Maybe different shoes?” Steve offered, looking down at her feet, adorned with ruby red flats to match her lips.
“What sort of shoes do you recommend? These are my favorite flats.”
“Sneakers. Something you don’t mind getting dirty—”
“I don’t mind getting these dirty.”
“Something more suitable for the forest,” Steve amended. “Sticks, mud, poison ivy. Would hate for the tops of your feet to succumb to that bullshit.”
“Succumb,” (Y/N) repeated. “Big word.”
“Average word,” Steve mumbled, feeling only a tad bit embarrassed.
“Average is fine,” she shrugged. “I have sneakers in my car. We could go after work?”
Six o’clock couldn’t have come faster.
Steve had spent the last few hours of his shift trying to best plan his escape from Family Video—an escape that involved pulling (Y/N) into his car before Robin could tell her what Skull Rock really was. Thankfully, (Y/N) hadn’t had the mind to tell Robin what their plans were after work yet, but he knew it would come.
The minute hand finally ticked to the top of the clock. 6pm on the dot. Steve practically threw off his vest and ran to the wall clock to punch out.
“In a rush?” Robin asked.
“Something like that,” Steve said, not wanting to share much more.
“Well, enjoy yourself Rob!” (Y/N) nearly sang, now standing behind Steve waiting for her turn with the wall clock. “I left the counter nice and warm for you!”
“I know you meant that to sound endearing, but it just sounds gross,” Robin laughed, not even looking up from the book she had been reading. “Get out of here before Keith makes you both work overtime.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” (Y/N) said, pushing her pink sunglasses—which were housed in the tiny locker she used every day—onto her head. “Besides, we’ve got plans.”
“We?”
“Gotta go Robin!” Steve could only shout, pushing (Y/N) out of the small room in the back—it could hardly be called a break room. Containing a small T.V on the wall, a stack of lockers, a small fridge, quaint table and a broken microwave.
“Alright, weirdo,” (Y/N) laughed, “we made it outside.”
Steve hand only blinked, but she was right. Somehow he didn’t recall the jaunt from the break room to the front door, much less the fact they made it out to their cars. “Oh.”
“Yeah,” she laughed again, “oh.”
He was sure his face was the near same color as her lipstick—cherry red and probably emitting the heat of a thousand suns. “Are you gonna change your shoes?” Somehow he strung together a full sentence.
“Go start up your car, pretty boy,” (Y/N) said smoothly, “I’ll meet you in a second.”
Pretty boy.
Start up his car, he did. He fumbled through the few cassette tapes he stored in his glove box, eager to find one she’d like. Though a thought like this had crossed his mind a handful of times, he never thought she’d actually agree to go out with him. No, not go out, this wasn’t a date. Right?
She had called him pretty boy.
And he was planning on taking her to the unofficial make out spot of Hawkins.
Maybe it was a date.
“There!” (Y/N) exclaimed, sliding into his passenger seat, showing off her worn shoes. “My well-loved sneakers! Just like you requested. How I allowed you to talk me into going to a random forest is beyond me.”
Me too. Steve thought.
“You’re not going to murder me, right?”
“What!?” Steve had already begun driving to their destination, but her sudden question had him nearly swerving off the road. “No!”
“That’s what a murderer would say.”
“I—why would I…?” Steve was at a loss for words. “If I was going to murder you, don’t you think I’d admit to it at this point?”
“No,” she shrugged, crossing her legs. Her sneakers were red too—her favorite color, perhaps? “I assume you’d admit it right before you kill me, not in transit to the murder location.”
Steve could only laugh. “You confuse me.”
“You love me,” she admonished.
Maybe he did, and if he didn’t? He certainly could see himself, though, sooner than later.
It only took another fifteen minutes of driving to reach their destination, parking his beloved BMW in a spot he knew all too well—part of himself cringed that he could admit that, even to just himself. “We’re here.”
“I’m still not convinced you’re not going to murder me,” (Y/N) hummed, hopping out of the car, a spring in her step.
He couldn’t help but chuckle, popping his trunk to dig for a blanket he knew he had left behind for one reason or another. “Come on,” he ducked his head towards a clearing, “it’s this way.”
“You really have to start explaining the appeal, Harrington,” (Y/N) said, pushing past a rather suspicious looking bush, following closely behind Steve. “This trek is nothing to scoff at.”
“Do you trust me?”
“I thought the murder accusations already confirmed that I did not?”
“Yet you still got into a car with me,” Steve said.
“I still got into a car with you,” she repeated.
As if on cue, Skull Rock, in all of its glory, peeked through the brush and into view—thankfully with no one else around.
“We made it!” Steve exclaimed, nearly impressed he remembered how to get here. Quickly unfurling the blanket he grabbed, he sat on the ground. “Come on, I promise it’s clean.”
“Doubting that,” she said, still sitting beside him. “So, spill it, what makes this place so cool?”
Steve took a deep breath.
“I, uh, may have stretched the truth a bit?”
“How far?”
“Huh?”
“How far did you stretch the truth?”
“Not by much…”
“You’re sweating,” she pointed.
“No I’m not!” Steve said, trying his very best to not look down at his pits, afraid they were betraying him. Looking back up at the girl sitting beside him, her ruby lips were twisted in a wicked smirk. “You’re making fun of me.”
“Nah,” she said, almost sounding honest. “But I also know pretty well what goes on around this rock—sick as fuck, by the way, it really looks like a skull.”
“You know about Skull Rock?” He was nearly dejected, embarrassed, even.
“I do.”
“And you still came here with me?”
“If it meant I could spend some time with you outside of work? Sure,” she said with her brilliant smile. “Though, don’t expect any swapping of saliva.”
“Then why…?”
Her knees tucked under her chin, arms wrapped fully around them. “I don’t have many friends here. You and Robin kind of are it for me, at least, since I moved here. I figured I should try and spend time with y’all before I move again.”
Her big move. The one she was saving up for.
“Back to Chicago, right?”
She nodded. “Yeah. Though, it’s going to be a while until I do actually move. Who knew trying to rent your own apartment in a big city is stupid expensive? Wait—don’t answer that, that’s a stupid fucking observation.”
“It’s a bit silly,” he agreed, trying his best not to laugh. “But, yeah, way more expensive than Hawkins.”
The sun had begun to set, not that they could see it, through the trees and all, but the sky was now a warm orange. The kind of color that reminded Steve of summer, melted creamsicles and sweet memories.
“What’s in Chicago, anyway?” Steve finally asked, eyes glued to the sky. The question had been on the tip of his tongue since he met her. “I mean, I never really hear you talk much about it—only when you feel the need to dig at Hawkins.”
“It’s where I grew up,” she shrugged. “All of my friends are out there, my life is out there.”
“I mean, you did just say Robin and I were your friends?” He offered, leaning back on his hands.
She narrowed her gaze, pulling her head up from her knees ever-so-slightly. “Most of my friends are out there,” she corrected. “I just… my dad moved out here for work, a job he literally can’t tell us about—my mom is stuck being some bored housewife waiting every night for him to come home, slaving over a home cooked meal, and I’m just his failure of a daughter who works at a video store.”
Steve knows that feeling a bit too well.
“It doesn’t even have to be Chicago,” she chuckled, mostly to herself. “I just can’t stay here. My forward thinking mind is too big for this town. I figure, maybe in the city I can find myself, figure out what this planet has in store for me, you know?”
“I do.”
“You do?”
“I mean, I never had the thought to leave Hawkins,” Steve said, still looking up at the sky—darker now, but still orange. “Especially now with all of the…”
How does he explain the Upside Down? Does he explain the Upside Down? No. She doesn’t need to know. Not yet, anyway.
“…you know, the missing people,” he finally said, finding the right explanation. “But the idea of going to a big city, finding my way and maybe figuring out what this big head is good for?” His self deprecating laugh echoed from under the large rock formation. “I get it.”
“Y’know,” (Y/N) relaxed her grip on her knees, “my mom had hesitations about moving here because of the missing people—afraid I was going to go missing too.”
“And your dad still moved you here anyway?” Steve still couldn’t wrap his head around the fact people would move here willingly, especially all that’s been in the news about their small town.
“I told you, big secret job,” she said, as if that was the only answer. “My dad’s answer to the problem was buying my mom a new kitchen set and me a car.”
“The BMW?”
“Hell yeah,” she snorted. “Though I suppose once I get to the city—any of them, I’ve decided—I’ll sell it. No need for a car if you’ve got decent public transit. I wonder how much I can get for it?”
“Probably less than what you’re thinking.”
“You’re probably right.”
The sun had finally set, leaving a hazy, sort of mystical hue over the rock and clearing.
“You could come with me, you know,” (Y/N) finally spoke up.
“Huh?”
“Get out of Hawkins? Lord knows I’d need a roommate. Rent is gonna be insane regardless.”
He pondered the thought. Moving out of this God-forsaken town with practically the girl of his dreams? It sounded too good to be true. “Huh.”
“You obviously don’t have to answer right now,” she said, nearly flustered. Was she flustered? “It was just a dumb thought…”
“It’s not dumb,” he said steadily, truthfully. “Not dumb at all.”
“What? You’re actually considering it?”
“Don’t ask me things if you’re not serious about them,” Steve joked, pointing at her. “I mean, it sounds pretty perfect. Leaving Hawkins, making a way for myself, trying to not rely on my parents… I dunno. Something to think about.”
She only nodded.
“Of course, I can’t leave yet,” Steve corrected, mostly to himself. “I have… unfinished business.”
“Ominous,” she snorted.
“A man has his secrets,” he smirked, turning to look at her. “Not murder-y secrets, I really can’t stress that one enough.”
“Handsome, funny and mysterious, the full package,” she hummed.
“You think I’m handsome?”
“I don’t want to stroke your ego,” (Y/N) said. “Surely you know you’re handsome.”
“I didn’t know you thought I was handsome.”
“I think everyone thinks you’re handsome,” her eyebrow raised. “Especially all those girls who come in to rent movies I know for a fact they have no interest in. Robin says you had a similar effect back at the ice cream place.”
“You’ve talked to Robin about my handsomeness?”
“I’ve talked to Robin about your obliviousness,” she corrected, “I think there’s a difference.”
He felt like his brain was melting. If he had a mirror, he’d check his ears to make sure no pink matter was dripping out. “But you think I’m handsome?” If the lighting hadn’t been as low as it was, he’d probably be able to see just how dark her cheeks had become.
“Irrelevant.”
He found the courage to scoot a little closer to her. “I mean, I think it’s pretty relevant… considering I think you’re pretty handsome too.”
Her head couldn’t have turned faster.
“Beautiful! I meant beautiful! Not that you can’t be handsome,” Steve felt himself choking on his own foot, falling deeper into a hole he knew he couldn’t get out of. “If you’d rather be called handsome, that’s fine by me, but traditionally, you’re stunning—so so pretty and I—”
“Steve—”
“A-and I’m messing this up,” Steve deflates. The crickets around Skull Rock must have been paid actors at this point. Steve made a mental note to bring a can of Raid the next time he came here—revenge of some sorts. “I can’t believe I’m messing this up.”
Something slightly wet touched his cheek.
“I don’t think you’re messing anything up,” (Y/N) said, pulling away from his face. She kissed his cheek. “I think you’re a little silly and overthinking a lot, though.”
“You kissed me?”
“I kissed your cheek, no need to short-circuit,” she smiled softly. “I figured it was a good way to bring you back down to Earth. Did it work?”
He nodded, a bit too fast for his liking. “Uh, yeah. I think so.”
“Good,” she said, so sure of herself. “You were really spiraling there for a moment.”
He chuckled. “Yeah, I guess I was.”
More crickets.
“Would you have kissed Robin on the cheek? If she was spiraling like that?”
“No,” she said honestly. “Just you.”
“Oh.”
“You took me to the make-out spot of Hawkins,” (Y/N) gestured to the rock above them. “Did you expect me to not kiss you?”
“You kissed my cheek,” he clarified, feeling bolder. “I don’t think that counts.”
“Hm,” she tapped her chin in faux-thought. “It probably doesn’t.”
“I could let you try again?”
“Oh you’d let me?” She crossed her arms, voice airy, light.
“Or I could kiss you,” he shrugged. “Dealers choice.”
“Oh what endless options I have,” she laughed, getting up from the blanket. It was only a little scratchy. “Come on, pretty boy, it’s getting late. My mom is probably worried sick I haven’t made it home yet. Probably waiting by the front window with some terrible dinner in the oven, I assume.”
She offered her hand, helping Steve up off the ground. “You’re probably right.”
“This was nice,” she said, walking back to the car. “Thanks for taking me out here, Steve. I finally found the one good thing in Hawkins.”
“Skull Rock is just that impressive, huh?” Steve laughed, his smile reaching his eyes.
“Something like that,” her smile was just as big.
--
BONUS: “Pop your trunk, I’ll put this nasty blanket away,” (Y/N) said, circling to the back of Steve’s car.
“It’s not that nasty,” he snorted, fulfilling her request. Climbing into his car and starting up the engine, he waited for her to throw the scrap of fabric in the back. In the corner of his eye, he could see her through the mirror, staring intently at the contents of his trunk. “How long does it take to put a blanket away?” He sighed, hopping back out of the car to join her, realizing quickly why she was just staring in his trunk.
“Y’know,” she clicked, “this doesn’t really help the whole ‘I’m not gonna murder you’ thing.”
In her hands was his tried and true baseball bat—still outfitted with spiky nails and the very essence of dried blood.
“I-I can explain—”
“You probably can,” she said, throwing the bat back into the trunk, slamming it shut. “How about over dinner sometime?”
He’d be stupid to say no.

A/n: I love stu sm and I would 100% be that type of gf 🤭
<3
<3
<3
"My mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me!" You cried, holding the stab wound Ethan had done on you.
"Shut up Y/n!...You look good by the way" he mumbled, watching as Sam held a panicked look in her eyes. "This literally sucks! You said we could..." The pain was too much, stopping you in your tracks.
"What? Yea, we can still go on a date, but we have work to do" he sighed, rubbing his temples. "You said this would be fun!" You squirmed, wiping the blood that was seeping out of your slashed shirt.
"This is fun, sweetheart!" You rolled your eyes, taking deep breaths to distract yourself from the pain. "It's not fun! Babe, you literally stabbed me! You said we could just use the fake blood on me!" You groaned.
"It's not believable like that!" He spat, dropping the ghost face mask next to him.
"Are we gonna finish this or what? I can't die! I have a fucking final next week" you cursed, limping over to Ethan.
"Yea, can you still walk?" Ethan asked, placing his hand around your waist. "I'll be fine"
Sam finally broke out of her trance, running towards Tara. To say she was shocked would've been a lie. She basically already knew it was you and Ethan, you two came out of nowhere.
"I got the gun, who do you want me to kill first?"
"Go wild, sweetheart"
His words gave you confidence, bullets being shot as everyone ran. "Got one!" You smiled excitedly, watching as Mindy tumbled to the ground. "Always hated that bitch, talks too much" you mumbled, holding your wound as you looked for the others.
All the doors were locked, the windows were boarded up. There was no way for all of them to escape.
You and Ethan eventually killed off the rest, Sam being the last one. You had shot her in the stomach, waiting for Ethan to finish the job.
"Fucking...pathetic" her words were mumbled, her blood mixing in with the one of her sisters and Highschool friends. "Shut up!" You hit her with your gun, blood spilling from her mouth. "You know I'm...right. He had you kill them because he's too scared"
You glanced at Ethan, his eyebrows furrowed. "Come on babe, show her. Show her you're not scared to fucking kill her!" You yelled, frustration running through your laugh. You kicked her in the ribs, watching as she yelped in pain.
Ethan just stood above her, he had only killed Tara so far. "Are you gonna do it? Your dad would be so proud Eth..." You smiled, his expression changed as you waited, tears falling from Sam's face.
He needed time, time to watch as she suffered the same way his brother did. Richie was never a good role model, not even a good brother. But Ethan knew this would gain him his dad's respect, and that was all he had ever wanted.
"It's okay, I can wait for you" Your glistening doughy eyes made him melt. He had to do this for you too.
He pulled his gun out, his eyes watching carefully as a loud gunshot went off. Sam Carpenter was finally dead. He expected himself to feel better. He thought that the feeling of loneliness would fade with each second that she suffered.
But he felt the same. He felt like a sidekick, he felt useless. And it's not like he even did this in honor of Richie. He didn't do it for himself. He did it for you and his dad.
"So...what do we do now?" You honestly didn't expect to be the first successful ghost face. When you mentioned the idea to Ethan he was on board right away. You guys had only taken the plan this far and now you had no idea what to do.
"I guess we clean up now..."
You cringed at Ethan's words, a frown on your face. "Weren’t we just gonna say we got attacked and were the only ones that survived?"
"Hmm yea, I guess. I didn't do that stab wound on you for nothing. But I will admit, you look really cute limping around”
You rolled your eyes, bumping his shoulder as you walked past him. "You're lucky I didn't stab you back.”

Can’t Get Away From You
Tumblr media
Erling Haaland x Fem!Reader
Warnings: a mini fight, some shouting, one mention of throwing something at someone, your boyfriend is attached to your hip and follows you like a puppy, power outages, jumpscares, some swearing, stuck in the middle of no where.
Word Count: 2.3k
Author’s Note: okay I lied, I know I said no fics but this was in my drafts and I had the urge to finish it :) also this was a random idea that @themandaloriansdiaries and I came up with on ft many many nights ago
--
"Why do you always do this?” You shouted at the man across the room from you.
Your boyfriend stares at you like you had gone insane and sometimes he thought you were, but tonight’s shouting was justified.
The two of you were supposed to go to your sister’s surprise birthday party but big shocker, Erling chose to stay back and kick a ball around for another 2 hours. Their training session was already done, he had no reason to stay back and yet he did. You were waiting for him so you could go together opposed to taking two cars because he kept telling you 10 more minutes and he’d be home, but you ended up being two hours late to your own sister’s party.
“I said I was sorry, didn’t I?” He looks at you and you can’t help but roll your eyes.
“Yes, because that makes up for the fact that I was late to my sister’s party. You’d never do that to your sister, would you? And you know I would never do that to her either. I actually care to show up when I say I will.”
“Y/n, you're overreacting. She didn’t even care that you were late.” He huffed, sitting on the couch.
You cannot believe him; he was late, had the audacity to tell you she didn’t even care and now he can't even stand up so you can shout at him? You were sick of his shit, you needed to leave before you threw something at his head.
The man watches as you grab your purse and phone, storming out of the front door and letting it slam shut behind you. He gets up, following you out the door.
“Where are you going?” He shouts from the porch, you don’t answer but instead get into your car and back out of the driveway.
You had no idea where you were going but you needed to be anywhere but there.
You drove for what felt like hours before you finally stopped in some random parking lot off the side of the road; you had driven out of the city and into the countryside. Hunger was kicking in and you tumbled through your purse for a mint, a piece of gum or literally anything edible. Eventually giving up on the tumbling, you dumped the contents of your purse into the passenger seat and switched on the light.
There’s a set of keys staring at you, a bright blue man city key chain hung on the bunch; the keys to the cabin.
Shortly after you and Erling began dating, the two of you decided you needed a place to go when you wanted to be away from the city. That’s how you ended up with a cabin 3 hours outside of Manchester.
The sky was varying shades of the black and the once viable moon was now blocked by clouds. You figured since you were closer to the cabin then you were home, you might as well spend the night there.
Another hour and you pulled into the muddy driveway, it seemed to have rained at some point during the day. You silently thank your boyfriend in your head for putting in sensor lights, otherwise you might have just slept in the car. The yard was pitch black and the Remingtons, the couple who owned the house across from your place, were away for the summer which meant you were all alone in the middle of nowhere.
The thought freaked you out, but not enough to make you turn back and go home.
You shoved everything back into your purse, slinging it over your shoulder as you avoided the puddles of mud on your way to the front door. The look clicked as you turned the key and you sprinted into the cabin, shutting the door behind you.
A hand dragged across the wall, feeling for the light switch and you pressed it, lighting up the place. You also turned on the light in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom because you were alone.. not because you were scared or anything like that.
The cupboards were pretty empty, anything of substance was eaten the last time you two were there because you didn’t want it to go bad. The only things were a few boxes of mashed potatoes, a can of corn and one can of sliced pineapple.
You couldn't be bothered to cook so you pulled the pineapple can out and was about to crack it open when there was a knock on the front door.
It was safe to say your blood ran cold.
The Remingtons were gone, you were certain of that because they told you to check on the house when you come down if you did, which meant they weren’t there.
No one else lived around here, and you can’t just say no one is home because you switched on every light possible.
Setting the can down, you slowly made your way to the door. You waited to hear if there’s another knock, you peeked out the front window in hopes of catching a glimpse of whatever was outside.
“Babe!” The voice called, startling you. “Open up!”
You groaned, the voice belonging to none other than your boyfriend. You opened the door, unfortunately, and found your giant of a boyfriend standing there with a bag in hand.
“Are you gonna make me stand in the rain?” He asks, the hood over his head blocking the water from his face. “I figured you didn’t eat dinner, so I brought you something to eat.” He stepped into the house; he was so big, you couldn’t really stop him if you wanted too.
“When the rain stops, I want you out.” You turn to him and he smiles, nodding.
He handed the bag over to you, the smell of Chinese food filling your surroundings. You refused to cave, holding your ground and staying mad at him. He shut the door behind him, turning the locks.
“What the fuck man? How’d you know I was here?” You handed the bag over to him, acting like you didn’t want it. Erling shrugged, taking the bag back and going to the kitchen.
He unpacked the boxes, setting them on the counter. “You left your location on.”
You groaned quietly, cursing yourself for leaving it on. Erling ignores your theatrics and puts some food on a plate for you, bringing it over to you and setting it on your lap. He knew you well enough to know if he offered the plate to you, you’d refuse and you needed to eat; part of why you were so snappy with him was because you were hungry.
He can’t help but notice how you un-tense now that he’s around; it brought a smile to his face but he didn’t dare say anything.
Erling sat beside you, eating quietly.
“Can we play a board game?” He asked, setting the plate on the coffee table.
“No.”
Erling hummed, going to dig the monopoly box out from the tv stand drawer. He set up the board, all the little pieces, the cards and the dice and began playing by himself.
You ignored the man, trying not to laugh as he screwed him over on one of the places he wanted. He rolled the dice, counting out the places he needed to move when the lights shut off.
The sound of thunder startled out, causing you to jump slightly.
“Babe, you okay?” He called, getting up. “Ow fuc-” he groans, probably stepping on one of the little pieces.
“I’m fine,” you get up, walking to the kitchen to get your phone off the table. It wasn’t pitch black, you can still make your way around the house so you searched through the kitchen cupboards for some candles, anything that can give you light for the time being.
Erling had gone quiet, you were about to turn around to see where he was but a hand on your shoulder caused you to drop your phone and let out a scream.
“It’s just me,” he laughed and you smacked his arm.
“What the fuck man! God, you are so- ugh.”
You sit at the table, phone back in hand as you called the power company. They finally get to your call after an hour on hold and let you know that the power won’t be turning back on until tomorrow morning.
The phone dropped on the table, your head tipped back as you groaned.
Erling reaches for the candles on the top shelf and lights them, setting them on the table. He sits across from you quietly, the two of you listening to the rain until the sound stops, the last flash of lighting strikes and it goes quiet.
He looks out the window and back at you, the soft orange glow of the candle light reflecting off of your skin. “I should head out,” he says, pulling your focus to him.
“What?”
“The rain.. it stopped. You said leave when it’s done raining.” He reminds you, standing up.
“Oh.. right, yeah. Okay, go ahead.”
Erling kisses your head when he walks past you, telling you to call him if you needed anything but you ignored him, still holding out on being upset even though you weren’t anymore.
The door shuts, you move from your spot at the dining room table to the couch but before you could sit down, the doorbell rings again. “What?” You shouted, walking over to see what he wanted.
He smiles at you when you open the door, pointing to the tree that’s fallen and blocked the driveway. “I’m stuck.”
“Use that viking strength of yours and push it away.” You shut the door again and went back to the couch.
You felt a bit bad, the guilt of him sitting out in the rain sunk in, even more so seeing that you had nothing to distract you. You pulled yourself off the couch and opened the door again, assuming you’d see his car on and him in it but it was off, the driveway was dark and the tree was still there.
“Erling?!” You shouted in the emptiness, “where are you?!”
There’s no answer but what are you supposed to do? Stand out in the rain or maybe go looking for him in the dark?
You shut the door, turning back around to see him sitting at the kitchen table.
“WHAT THE FUCK ERLING?!” You screamed, your heart jumping out of your body momentarily. You let out a breath, hand pressed to your chest. “How the hell did you get in here?”
“The back door was open.”
“Why are you lurking at the back- wait, it was unlocked?” Your brows furrowed, looking towards the back door.
Erling nodded, “yeah, I wasn’t lurking though. I went to check if the generator would turn on.”
“And it did?” You wrapped the blanket from the couch around yourself.
Erling looked up at the light that’s yet to turn on. “I mean, obviously not.”
It was freezing in the cabin, considering that the power had shut off and it was raining, it only made it colder.
“C’mere,” Erling calls for you, his arms opened as he waits for you to come cuddle up next to him. You shook your head, waddling your way to the bedroom. Your boyfriend follows you, watching as you dropped on the bed and pulled the comforter up on top of you.
You can feel the cold running up your spine, the cold air creeping along your skin despite the two blankets and the giant man in the room lifting the blanket wasn’t helping.
“What are you doing?” You grumbled, not turning around.
Erling slipped into bed next to you, pulling you flat against his chest. His body was like a heater, the man wrapping his arms around you and kissing your shoulder before fixing the blanket.
You tried to wiggle away but he held you firmly in place. “You can stay mad but I'm not letting you freeze.”
You let your boyfriend hold you, simply because it's cold and not because you were mad at yourself for being mad at him for no reason. At some point, the two of you must've dozed off.
--
The lights were what woke you up; bright white lights shining down on you from the ceiling and the fact that the curtains were still open didn't help your eyes that were now adjusting to being open again.
There’s some heavy on you, you can’t even pull yourself up and you’re almost certain you know what it is. You look down to find your giant of a boyfriend on top of you. His arm tossed over your hip, face smooshed against your stomach as he snored quietly.
You smiled, forgetting all about last night as you pulled the hair tie from his hair. He stirred, settling moments later when you passed your hand through his hair. Your fingers rubbed along his scalp, massaging his head.
“Morning,” he mumbles, pressing a kiss to your stomach. He kicked the blanket off of him, “it's hot.”
“Power turned back on.”
He shifts, laying beside you and pulling you into his side. “I’m sorry about last night.”
“Mhm hm, I know.” Your fingers dragged along his shirt. Erling looked down at you, “are you?”
“Am I what?”
“Sorry,” he says, like it's obvious.
“No,” you joked, smiling at him. Erling knows you were, you don’t really do emotions or say sorry but he knows you are.
He laughs, kissing your forehead.“Shall we go get breakfast?”
You groan, burying your face in his side. “We have to take two cars.” “Oh and move the tree.” He reminds you, making you groan again.

Tickles from a Deer Friend
hihi! It's my fic y'all have been waiting on, get your food 4.8k words, Jesus Christ. Super proud of this one! took absolutely forever, sorry about that aims for applemedia kinda vibe because i can /silly Tw/cw:tickling, restraints, tickles can be intense in places. fluffy stuffs It was a relatively quiet day in the hotel. Most of the residents were out running errands, or just out to hang out with each other. Alastor had stayed to organize and clean his radio tower. He picks up some radio equipment, crossing the room to place it in a storage supply cupboard. Adjusting dials, cleaning up and adjusting plants, and making sure all his microphone things were okay and ready to run when needed. Alastor’s coat and heeled boots were off and nearly placed on a chair. With all the hotel residents out and about, there wasn’t any reason to have to look composed in front of somebody.
The deer paces around his tower, before sitting down and beginning to meticulously clean his microphone staff. He was bored. Sure, going out in public and being able to evoke fear in ‘fellow’ sinners was mildly entertaining. Hunting them down and being able to quite literally scare them out of their mind? Even better. But, today was just one of those days where Alastor didn’t feel the need to scare anyone. He finishes cleaning his staff, then goes down to the lobby. It was odd seeing everyone gone. Husker and Angel had gone to a bar together, Charlie and Vaggie were out doing some romantic stuff on a date, Niffty was nowhere to be seen. Alastor sits on the couch, reading one of his books.
He felt a shift in signals–like something was messing with the radio waves. Alastor’s ears flick a couple times, and he tries to shake the feeling. Alastor stands up after a moment with a hiss of irritation. He turns around and sees Vox. Seriously?
‘Vox. A…pleasure for you to be here,’ Alastor says, sarcasm evident. ‘Have you come to tickle the ever loving daylights out of me yet again?’ The television overlord shakes his head. ‘No, surprisingly. Just came to say hello.’ Vox sits down, looking around. The hotel was nicely done after the battle with the angels–with Lucifer’s assistance in rebuilding, it was extremely well done. New curtains, a beautiful exterior, new lights, everything. Vox was so zoned out he didn’t even realize Alastor was staring at him.
‘Are you done musing over the hotel?’ Alastor deadpans. Vox snaps out of it and nods. He then notices Alastor didn’t have his coat or boots on. ‘Wait, when did you–’
‘Don’t mention anything or else I will gladly tear your body up,’ Alastor hisses, sitting back down to read. Vox simply watched the deer read. Infatuated with him. ‘Did you ask about the tickles because you want them–?’ Vox asks, shifting slightly. He chuckled at seeing Alastor’s ears flick with both annoyance and flusteredness. ‘No, I don’t want them. Well, not at the moment. I have better things to do than laugh my head off.’
‘Fair enough,’ Vox hums. He could see Alastor’s ears still flicking. ‘Is my television waves messing with your radio ones or something?’ ‘Yes,’ Alastor’s voice came out in an irritated hiss. His ears flick again, as if to prove a point. His radio filter dropped for a second as he said, ‘It’s mildly irritating, if I do say so myself.’ Vox nods in understanding. He couldn’t exactly stop the interference. ‘But, the duck loving freak is worse. His royal shortness enjoys being a prick to me. Although, it’s entertaining to rile him up,’ Alastor says, his smile widening at the thought of irritating the King.
‘Wait, Lucifer?’ Vox looks over, bewildered. Alastor actually had the nerve to toy with the King? The most powerful being in hell? Although, the fallen angel didn’t seem all too intimidating. Ducks as the main obsession was a bit…less intimidating for an all powerful seraphim. Of course, seeing how he had defeated Adam with no struggle or hardships was quite a feat. Alastor was busy giggling like a madman at the mere thought of being able to tick off Lucifer.
‘Okay–points aside. He’s just annoying,’ Alastor chuckles after composing himself. The deer goes back to reading. Vox still looked a bit surprised at the fact that Alastor enjoyed it. He supposed it was better than murdering sinners and Overlords, though. The television demon shakes his head slightly, fiddling with his claws, growing bored. He wanted to do something, but the question was what. Alastor didn’t want to be tickled at the moment, and he would respect that. He may be an obsessive, sadistic ler but he wasn’t so lowly as to disrespect Alastor’s boundaries.
Alastor flips a page, eyes scanning over the page as he reads. He had started to slowly tune out Vox’s presence. The deer’s ears would occasionally flick to show emotions during his reading. It was nice having some peace and quiet in the hotel for once. Alastor chuckled, remembering being scolded by Charlie on multiple occasions for fighting with Lucifer. It was too amusing, too fun, too..exciting to be able to rile Lucifer up so easily. It was as simple as pointing out he was short or even calling a duck ‘stupid.’ Amusing indeed.
‘You know, I feel like you’re in one of those moods.’
Vox looked up, a bit confused as to what Alastor meant. Then he realized. ‘I’m not in…that..mood.’ Alastor grins. ‘I can see it in your posture. Your eyes. You’re just begging to be tickled, aren’t you? You want to be absolutely wrecked, having me make you laugh yourself silly. You want me to tickle you until you’re begging, don’t you? Poor thing…’
Vox blinks, speechless at whatever the heck Alastor just said. ‘Th-that’s not–I don’t–I want–’ Alastor’s smile gets wider at the flustered response. He adjusts himself, which makes Vox jump back. The poor demon was already wanting to be tickled, and for some reason seeing a potential tickler being able to pounce at any second had Vox all twitchy and antsy.
Alastor laughs softly. ‘You know you could just ask, right?” Vox nods, smiling shyly. ‘I don’t think it’s worth it and all that, too nervous and I can’t even say the word-’
‘Tickle. Ticklish. Tickling-’ Alastor laughs harder as Vox gets more flustered. He grabs his book, sitting back down and sipping coffee nonchalantly. Vox tilts his head, slightly confused. Alastor lets one of his shadowy tendrils drag slowly up Vox’s sides, and the television flinches at the touch. ‘A-Alahastor–’
‘Hm? I don’t believe I’m touching you at all,’ Alastor days innocently, the tendril wiggling right above his hip. Vox snickers softly, trying to push the tendril away. ‘Gehehehet thahat awahay–!’ The television demon tries to squirm. Alastor chuckles, making the tendril try to wriggle underneath Vox’s coat, going against his sides. “I h–hahate yohou!’ he snorts, thrashing to the side. Vox grabs at the stupid thing, to no avail.
Alastor chuckles out, ‘I bet you’d prefer my claws, wouldn’t you? You poor, obsessed little thing…’ He gets up, straddling over Vox’s legs. He laughs at the blush that overcomes Vox's screen. He makes his shadowy tendril tweak at the antenna on Vox’s head, making the demon squeak. ‘Fu–uhuck! Don’t-’ His voice glitched out for a split second. The deer has the tendril disappear, and switches to skittering his claws up and down Vox’s sides. Vox instantly jolts back, giggling as he grabs Alastor’s wrists–of course, the deer did have a point with his earlier statement. He was far too obsessed and utterly infatuated with Alastor to stop him.
His claws dig into the couch after a minute, refusing to let himself shove Alastor off. ‘Plehehease–yohoure so mehean!’
‘Oh, please, darling. I could be much worse,’ Alastor growls, teasing the poor demon beneath him. ‘Now, I know the antennas are a particular bad spot. Let’s see if there’s any others…’ Alastor’s ears flick with delight. He was having much too fun tickling him. And in all honesty, Vox deserved it for all the previous times Alastor had been wrecked by him. He tilts his head in curiosity, and Vox stares at him. ‘Are you gonna-’
‘Yes, yes, I’m getting to it,’ Alastor hums. The deer honestly did have a soft spot for the demon, but would never admit that. That was for him to know. He rakes his claws down Vox’s ribs, teasingly slow just to get a good reaction. Vox squirms, grinning wide. ‘Ffffuck ohoff!’
‘Oh, please. You can’t deny that you enjoy my claws on you.’ Alastor traces circles on the spot right below Vox’s ribcage, earning a snort. Although the touch was dampened a bit by his clothing, his claws had managed to get under the coat. Vox tries to kick, but Alastor had a couple tendrils hold his legs down. ‘Ah, ah, ah, don’t need you kicking me, now do we?” he teased as he went to his lower ribs, massaging to feel for the bones. Vox kicks and squeaks, glitching for a moment.
‘Oh, don’t want to break the technology just yet, now do we?’ Alastor chuckles, moving to a less ticklish spot on the other demon. Vox’s laughs went to frantic giggles, shaking his head. He was surprised his internal fans hadn’t kicked on yet. Alastor honestly wasn’t being too harsh on him–yet. But, he would admit, he did enjoy being tickled by his ‘rival.’ He kicks–well, tries to–as Alastor hits a spot a couple inches above his hip. ‘Now, let’s get these out of the way–’ Alastor giggles sinisterly to himself, using a tendril to pull both of Vox’s arms above his head. He starts digging into that spot. It earned some odd sort of television static crackle.
‘Alahahalastohor! Nohoho no–dohohon’t!’ Vox snorts, trying to arch his back. Alastor had him straddled pretty damn well, though. He could feel claws teasingly crawling towards his hips. He tried to buck to no avail. ‘Nonono why ahahare you dohoing thihis?!’ Vox giggles frantically, claws trying to dig into the tendril holding his arms up. Alastor just chuckles softly, enjoying seeing his rival like this. Helpless. Giggling. Of course, not exactly wanting to use tickling as the way to achieve it (he would’ve preferred hurting him,) but Alastor loved hearing people giggle and laugh. Adorable little thing to him.
He tilts his head, deer ears flopping to the side a little, looking at Vox. He curiously squishes at the other’s hips, earning a choked laugh. ‘Oh, so I suppose this is a good spot to linger on?’ The deer giggles out, and since his coat was off, Vox could probably see his deer tail wagging as he tickled him.He starts to gently knead into Vox’s hips, earning a startled squeak from the demon beneath him.
‘Alahahastohor! Nohoho–nohot–nohoht–nohot–thehehere!’ his voice glitched out while trying to speak through his laughter. A tendril slithers down Vox’s arms to scritch at his underarms. The television demon tried to squirm more, only to be met by Alastor restraining him further. ‘You know, you’re quite a thrasher,’ he comments, massaging firm circles into Vox’s hips which had him cackling. ‘Yohohou’re juhust as bahahad, the fuhhuck–’
‘And for that, you’re getting this worse,’ Alastor hummed, mostly playful. But he did speed up his tickling, having the tendril move up to tweak at Vox’s antennas. Vox tried to kick, but was well restrained. He tried begging the deer demon for this to stop, or at least ease up on the tickling intensity a bit. ‘Stahahap ihihit! Be gehehentler! I swehehear–’ Vox felt his internal fans kick on, trying to cool him before he overheated. Alastor noticed this, his ears flicking as they somehow picked up on the noise of the fans despite how loud his rival’s laughter was. He slowed down the tickles, moving from Vox’s hips to gently scribbling up and down his sides. Deer tail wagging behind him with absolute delight.
Vox’s laughter had quieted down, and he was still trying to shake the stupid voodoo shadow tendril..thing off his antenna. Alastor chuckles, teasing at his underarms to add on to the maddening sensations. Vox grinned wide, shaking his head slightly. He loved this, fully. It was an odd feeling to have Alastor tickling him instead of the other way around, but somehow it was nice. A good feeling to have.
After a few minutes, Alastor backed off, letting the other breathe. He went to sit down, acting as if the whole scenario didn’t just happen.
‘Whahat the hell..’ Vox muttered out. Alastor grinned wider. ‘Deserved…do you need a drink?’ he offered, knowing it’s what Vox usually did to him after their sessions. Vox nodded, and he conjured a glass of water which appeared next to the other. Vox gratefully took it. ‘You know you’re worse, though,’ he teased. Alastor rolled his eyes, conjuring up one of his books to read. ‘Oh, please.’ His ears flicked back in embarrassment. Vox chuckled, watching him read. He stared at Alastor’s hooves, knowing how easy it would be to pounce and tickle the poor deer silly. Not now. He was about to say something, when he heard something.
The door opened and a certain king stood there, and Alastor looked unamused. ‘Welcome back, your royal shortness,’ he said in a rather snarky tone. He knew how to tick the other off, and it was so amusing to do. Lucifer rolled his eyes. ‘Don’t you have better things to do, Bambi?’ Alastor growled, ears flattened. ‘I’m not a ‘Bambi.’’
Vox watched, amused by the whole thing. ‘Aren’t you though? Because of the whole deer thing and stuff.’ Alastor turned to glare at him too. Lucifer then notices how Alastor’s coat and boots were off, and he tilts his head. ‘Did you expect us–well, me–to be gone longer?’ he asks, sitting next to the deer to irk him. It did work, because Alastor scooted away a bit. ‘Yes, I did. Now, how about you go make some more ducks or something, since that seems to be all you can do?’
‘Hey, I can do more than that!’ Lucifer retorts, standing up. Since Alastor was still sitting, he was somewhat at his level. ‘Cooking pancakes also isn’t that much of a talent,’ Alastor said with a shit eating grin. He knew how to annoy the seraph. The fallen angel growls and jabs Alastor in the ribs, earning a more than surprised squeak from the deer.
‘Careful, he just finished wrecking my shit,’ Vox warned with a laugh. Alastor smiled at him, before turning to Lucifer and getting up. ‘Oh, so you want to play that game, huh?’ he taunts, raking his claws down the king’s back, forcing the six wings out. Lucifer jolts back, stumbling. He had been tickled in front of Alastor before, and he knew the deer knew his wings were his worst spot.
‘Maybe I do,’ he challenged, trying to keep up that brave face.
‘You have ten seconds to run and hide.’ Alastor sat down, waiting expectantly. ‘I’m not playing some–’ Lucifer started. ‘Nine.’ That did it. Lucifer spread his wings and flew off. He panted as he flew down a hallway, finding a guest room. Okay. This could work. Lucifer quickly hides under the bed; as much as he hated to admit it, his small size helped out here. He shapeshifted into his snake form, coiling under the bed. Honestly, he knew there was no true point to hiding. Alastor hunted down overlords, he’d find Lucifer at some point. For now, he could relax.
Alastor hums and spins his cane as he gets up. ‘And that’s time. Vox, would you mind helping me hunt down a certain angel?’ Vox looks up in surprise. Alastor wanted him to…help?
‘Uh..sure.’
The two go throughout the hotel. Alastor hums a simple tune as he goes along, having tendrils and shadows reach out to sneak in places to assist in the search. He knew Lucifer couldn’t have gone too far. The deer hunts down the angel, searching in every place he could. He walks to the guest bedroom. Alastor knew Lucifer was in here, there was no way he wasn’t. He hums his song still.
Lucifer lay coiled underneath the bed as he heard Alastor walk in. Shit. He coils tighter, trying to quiet himself down like that would help at all. He felt a tendril stroke down his scales and he almost hissed in ticklish surprise. The tendril scribbled along the scales and Lucifer writhed, managing to somehow stay quiet.
Alastor knew what he was doing. He had the tendril move to Lucifer’s side scales, and he heard a muffled hiss. He chuckles and walks out, knowing that Lucifer would have to come out eventually if he wanted the tendril to stop. He met Vox halfway down the hall. ‘Did you find–’ ‘Oh, yes I did, he’s currently getting a..treatment until he decides to come face me.’ Alastor sits down to read.
Lucifer hissed and tried to slither away from the damn tendril, but it swipes up the underside of his snake body, which was much more ticklish than anticipated. He chokes out a curse before going to his seraphim form, quickly desummoning his wings so those weren’t an option. The tendril moves up his sides, scribbling at a bad spot. Alastor could probably hear his frantic giggling as he tried to push the tendril away. He arches his back, trying so hard to fight the sensations. Eventually, Alastor walks in with an amused look.
“Are you ready to give up yet, your highness?” Alastor taunted. Lucifer shook his head, but Alastor knew he was lying. ‘Oh, but you are. I can see it in the way you’re moving and looking up at me. Vox, care to assist?’ The king struggles and thrashes, and feels a singular tendril raise his arms above his head, holding him down. He could feel a weight on his legs–since Alastor was sitting next to him, it had to be Vox.
The king glared at the two. ‘You will not touch me. I am your King, and you do as I sahay-!’ Lucifer squeaked as Alastor slowly trailed claws up and down his sides. Lucifer’s back arches as Alastor scribbles along a bad spot on his waist. He squirms back and forth, the biggest smile gracing his face. He tries to tug his arms down to protect himself, not feeling any leeway there. Fuck.
He could feel Vox take off his boots and he kicked hard. He was not getting to his hooves, no way. He whined and arched his back, feeling Alastor ease up on the tickles ever so slightly. ‘Vox, whatever you just did has him all riled up.’
‘All I did was take his boots off. I was gonna see if his hooves were just as bad as yours,’ Vox comments, trying to get the king to hold still for more than two seconds. Alastor rolls his eyes at the comment about his hooves. Lucifer actually managed to buck Vox off in a panic, giggling his heart out. “Dohohon’t touch thehem-’
‘Touch what? These pretty little things? These adorable wittle hoovsies?’ Vox teases, grabbing both of Lucifer’s ankles and hooking them in the crook of his elbow. He had a good grip too. Lucifer screeched and tried to kick–then realized Alastor had added another restraining tendril across his hips and legs. He was probably going to die–from laughter, of course.
‘Can the wittle angel take all his tickling? Can the pretty wittle baby lee take all his tickles?’ Vox taunts in a baby voice as he starts to spider his claws up and down Lucifer’s hooves. Both at the same time. The poor angel screamed and fell into frantic giggles. He could feel Vox focus on a particularly bad spot, and it didn’t help that Alastor had switched tactics. Lucifer could feel Alastor’s claws slowly ‘walking’ down his arms. He tries to squirm as he hears Alastor humming a song--presumably to taunt him. The king tried to arch away as the walking fingers got closer and closer to his underarms.
Vox found a bad spot on his hooves that made him bleat like some kind of goat. A surprised look crossed Vox’s features, his claws pausing right above the spot. Alastor stopped and also looked at Lucifer, his fingers hovering above the angel’s underarms. “What the hell was that?” Lucifer didn’t answer, simply trying to kick, still smiling. Alastor told Vox to repeat whatever he did.
Vox raked over the spot again. He got the same reaction. Alastor started to attack his underarms, and the fallen angel practically screeched. Alastor bent down to talk to Lucifer in closer proximity, whispering in a baby voice, ‘Does the wittle baby lee not wike all his wittle tickles and scritchies? Hm? Hmm?’ Lucifer laughed harder. “Dohohohont tehehease meheHEHE–!” His laughter hitched up as Vox started to curiously explore the split in his cloven hooves. The seraph screeches and laughs nice and loud. His adorable laughter filled the room as Vox dug into that damn spot. ‘Plehehehease! PleheheHEHEhease!’ he begged, arching his back as Alastor kept up the relentless pace at his underarms. He felt the fingers scribble down his ribs and sides.
It wasn’t as bad. But bad enough to have him giggling wildly, a squeal, snort, or goat bleat coming out when Vox hit a bad spot on the hooves. Alastor slowly undoes Lucifer’s coat, signaling to Vox to give him a moment to breathe. Alastor gets Lucifer’s coat mostly off, pushing up his shirt to expose his bare stomach. This had Lucifer’s eyes widen. ‘Nononohoho bad Bambi, bahad Bambi–!’ Alastor walked a couple claws across his bare belly, making Lucifer flinch hard and snicker into his raised arms. He could feel the tendrils tighten their grip ever so slightly, really insuring that he couldn’t escape it.
Alastor leaned down with a grin, beginning to nibble across Lucifer’s bare stomach with no restraint at all. The feeling of his sharp teeth on his stomach sent him into a wild fit of hysterics. Vox hadn’t even gone back to tickle his hooves again. He moved up to help Alastor with Lucifer’s upper body, teasing at Lucifer’s left side, scritching at his ribs nonstop. ‘Fuhuhuck yohohou two, I ahahaham yohohour kihing, you cahahan’t do thihhis to mehehehe!’ Vox massages into his ribs, earning a loud goatlike bleat and a kick.
‘You know, a little ducky told me something.’ Alastor picks up a rubber duck from the place where he had summoned it out of thin air. Vox looked up with an amused gaze. What could the deer possibly mean? Alastor switches to some stupid baby voice as he talks, ‘I told the big bad Wadio Demon that wingdies are wealllyyy ticklish!’ He squeaks the duck as emphasis. Lucifer blinks with pure surprise. What?
‘The duck is-is lyhying–’ Lucifer protests, squirming more. Alastor squeaks the duck again, saying, ‘If you tickle his wittle back, you can get all his wingsies to come out then you can tickle the wittle angel absolutely silly and have him laughing all nice and cute!’ As he spoke, he had Vox move to reach underneath Lucifer. The short king squeaks and tries to get away. Vox murmured softly, ‘Are your wings really that bad? I haven’t even started, you short little lee!~’
Vox slowly tickles up the king’s back, having the other man sent into giggly hysterics. He felt Vox hit a particular spot on the back of his shoulders, and that made all six fluffy wings summon, the wings flaring out. Alastor grins, using some tendrils to grab the ends of all six wings, spreading them out. This had it so the two could go to town with the wings without having to worry about Lucifer accidentally smacking them in the face with a wing.
Lucifer’s eyes widen and he arches his back–honestly the only movement he could really manage. Alastor straddled across his waist area, positioning his claws above the lowermost set of wings. Vox was near Lucifer’s head, his hands above the top set. For the middle set, Alastor had his shadowy tendrils sliding up into position. ‘Three,’ Alastor chuckled. Lucifer shook his head frantically, wild giggles already escaping. ‘Nonono plehehease dohon’t do–’
‘Two,’ Vox said, grinning wide as he brought his hands closer. The fallen angel whines, trying to beg and compromise with the two. ‘I’m your kihihing–’ Alastor’s claws land onto the lowermost set as he teases, ‘One!’ Alastor dug in, the tendrils wriggled into the wingpits of the middle set, and Vox started to tease at the edges of the top set. Lucifer actually screamed, trying to flap his wings in desperation. Fuck, this was intense.
He could feel his wings utterly trapped from the tendrils holding them still. ‘FuhHUHUCK! NohohHOhot the wihhiHIHings! PleheehEHEASE!’ Lucifer felt Vox search under the feathers to get to the skin beneath, and he bleated like some stupid goat again, before his loud cackles filled the room. ‘I’m–PLEHEHEASE!’
The tendril wriggles near the base of his wings, making Lucifer wheeze before being able to drag a breath in and laugh harder, shaking his head frantically. Alastor scribbles along the middle of the wings, making the king snort helplessly. It really did feel weird being the helpless one here. Considering he was the King of Hell, he was usually the one in control. But these two…Jesus.
He hyperventilates as he tries to regain any sort of composure. Lucifer actually did like the tickling, though he wouldn’t ever admit that. He smiles nice and wide, his loud, precious laughter filling the room. He remembered these days–when his brothers or his wife would tickle him, and now that he was here, Charlie had done it once. It was honestly kind of nice having someone to tickle him silly. A tendril comes up to gently tickle under his chin, making him snort and turn his head to the side.
‘What’s wrong, you adorable little king? Hm? Can’t handle some tickle tickle tickles?~’ Alastor teases, intensifying the tickles further. Vox was doing gentle tickles, which led to some very conflicting feelings on his wings. He desperately tries to flap his wings to get away, but the tendrils hold fast. Lucifer couldn’t focus enough to desummon the wings or try to get anything off of him.
His laughter went silent for a couple seconds before he was able to breathe and dig his hooves into the floor, trying to arch away or something. He was starting to get frantic in his attempts to get away, and the deer demon and television demon could tell he was nearing his overwhelming point.
‘PlehehHEHEase! Plehehehease stahHAHAp!’ Alastor looked at Vox, debating whether the king had actually had enough or not. ‘Do you think he can take much more?’ Vox scratches at a certain spot, which makes Lucifer bleat again. ‘I’d say another minute or two and let him up. Suppose we don’t want to kill the sweetheart.’
After a couple more minutes of the wing tickle ‘torture,’ Alastor lets him up. All the shadowy tendril restraints vanish, allowing Lucifer to immediately curl up and fold his wings behind him, giggling and panting. Alastor gets up, glancing at him. ‘Do you need water?’ he asks gently. Lucifer nods weakly, and Alastor goes to get the water. Vox picks up Lucifer, bringing him to the couch. Lucifer cuddles up to him.
Alastor walks in, smiling fondly at the sight. ‘He’s mine to cuddle too.’ He sits down next to the two, helping Lucifer drink the water, which he does gratefully. After he finishes his water, he snuggles up to the deer as well, dragging him into the cuddle pile. Vox uses one hand to pet Lucifer’s hair, the other to pet and scratch behind Alastor’s deer ears. Alastor purrs like a deer, kicking his hoof slightly.
Vox smiles, continuing to lavish the both of them with affection. Alastor wraps his arms around Lucifer, cuddling him close. ‘You’re cute,’ he mumbles to Lucifer. Lucifer smiles, reaching up to ruffle Alastor’s hair. ‘Shut up, you’re the cute one here.’
Vox laughs, simply letting the two argue over it. Eventually, they both settle down. Both cuddle up to Vox. Alastor mumbles something about Vox being warm. ‘Well, I’m electricity powered for the most part, I’m probably going to be generating some sort of heat.’ ‘Shut up, smartass,’ Lucifer mumbled affectionately, playfully poking Vox’s screen. Alastor was half asleep. Lucifer reaches over, summoning a blanket to cover all of them. Vox relaxes as well, hands slowing in their ministries.
‘You guys sleepy?’ Vox asks. Alastor doesn’t respond, too tired. Lucifer nods, reaching over to scratch behind Alastor’s furry ears. Messing with the fur. The ears flick lightly and Alastor tiredly smiles at all the affection. Vox slowly pets Lucifer’s blond hair.
‘Go to sleep. Both of you,’ he mumbles. Vox fell asleep first, his TV screen brightness lowering by a lot as he ‘powers down.’ Lucifer cuddles up to Alastor as he falls asleep, and Alastor simply nuzzles into Vox’s chest as he dozes off.
Sure, the residents of the hotel would be back soon. And all three would be all cuddled up on the couch, not worrying about a thing. They all had each other, and that’s all that mattered.

The first time you met Crowley was when you lived in a nightmare that didn’t want to end.
That was shortly after you found out about the things that bump in the night. One night, a monster with glowing red eyes tried to eat you alive. Literally.
His teeth were about to sink into your flesh when a man in black appeared out of nowhere. He smirked, looked down at your trembling form, and patted your head.
“Hello darling,” he said. “How about you tell me why you came here?” He looked at the monster chasing you. “Oh, what do we have here?” The man cocked his head and said something to the monster you didn’t even understand.
The monster dipped his head, growled, and ran for the hills.
“What?” You whimpered as the man looked down at you.
He shrugged and looked at you with red eyes. You screamed and scrambled away. Even though he saved you from the monster, he wasn’t to be trusted either.
 “You called. I came.”
“I-I didn’t call you,” you said and tried to get back up on your feet. “Please just leave me alone.”
“Darling,” he huffed, "you put the box into the ground and called for me. “So, what can I do for you?”
Your eyes grew wide. “She was right? The woman was right?” You stammered. “I didn’t mean to…I…”
“Hmm…your mommy, huh?” He nodded thoughtfully. “I can bring her back, darling. You only have to say yes.” The man smirked and held out his hand. “Say yes, and I fulfill your wish.”
“Mom is gone, and they want me to live at an orphanage,” you sniffled. “They stole all of my stuff.” You pressed your duffle bag to your chest. “That’s all I got left. The woman in the cemetery told me what to do to get Mom back.”
“A deal is all I can offer to you,” he patted your head again. “All you have to give me in return is your soul.”
You gaped at the man. Back then, you were barely a teen but you knew, your soul was something you didn’t want to hand over to a guy with red eyes.
“You want my soul?” You wiped your eyes. “What happens to me if I give you my soul?”
The man dipped his head and looked at you for a brief moment. His eyes turned back to normal, and he wanted to say something but then...all hell broke loose.
“Girl, down,” you screamed when two men started to fire bullets at the man in the black suit. You dropped to the ground and covered your ears. Screaming and crying.
Who would’ve thought the nightmare could get even worse?
“Are you alright?” You felt two strong hands grasp for you. You opened your eyes and looked up at a man. He smirked, grabbed you by your waist, and threw you over his shoulder.
“Sammy, get her bag. We gotta get out of here.”
“HELP! HELP!” You screamed at the top of your lungs. “I’m getting abducted!”
“Sweetheart, you gotta be silent or the others will find us. This one left, but we don’t know about the others.”
“Others?” It was all too much, and you passed out.
When you woke, two tall guys were staring down at you. One of them threw water in your face, murmuring words in Latin you didn’t understand.
“Christo,” he said and stepped away to get a knife. You screamed again when he pressed the dull side of the knife to your cheek. “I think she’s herself, Dean.”
“Alright, kiddo,” the other man said and clapped his hands. “I know you have a lot of questions, but before we talk you need to put this around your neck.” He handed you a talisman. You put it around your neck without questioning him. “Good.”
“This isn’t easy to explain, Y/N. I’m Sam,” the taller guy splashing water in your face said and pointed at his chest. “This is my brother Dean.”
“Winchester,” Dean said. You furrowed your brows. Winchester. That name rang a bell. “I see you remember the name.”
“Uh-mom,” you choked out, “had a friend called John Winchester. He came around for a few years. Now and then. Sometimes he brought me gifts.” You shrugged. “He disappeared and one day, she cried and told me that he died. That was around…”
“Four years ago?” Sam ended your line. You nodded and looked at the man with shaggy hair. “John Winchester was our father.”
“Which means, that you are our baby sister,” Dean said, earning a bitchface from his brother. “What? We have Lucifer on our asses, demons want our sister to say yes to the very same bastard and, we don’t want to talk about the crossroad demon she summoned.”
“He kinda appeared out of nowhere,” you grumbled. “The woman said they can bring back mommy.”
“For the small price of your soul. You’d have ended up in hell, sweetheart,” Dean muttered. “I can tell, it’s no fun and rainbows down there.”
“I didn’t sell that dude anything. He appeared and chased the monster chasing me around town away. He offered a deal and then, you tried to shoot me.”
“Shoot you?” Dean scoffed. “I tried to save your ungrateful ass!”
“Bitch!” You threw in his face, earning a chuckle from Sam.
“Jerk!” Dean replied.
“Guys, we should focus on getting to know each other and not get killed. Or, to say yes to Lucifer…”
Tumblr media
That’s exactly how you ended up here, staring at the map table at the bunker.
“That’s a stupid idea,” you huff. “Why do we have to defeat Lucifer again, and again? He’s not our responsibility!”
“Well, Castiel freed him so,” Dean shrugs. “It’s kind of our problem. We got to find a way to send him back to his cage.”
“Or kill him,” you mutter. “I’m just done running in circles. It’s been too many years, guys! We defeat him. He comes back. We send him to his cage. He gets freed. I’m just fed up. And we don’t want to talk about the shitty dreams I’m having since he’s free.”
“Y/N,” Sam sniffs. “I’m so sorry he tries to get into your head now. Lucifer knows that I’d never say yes again. He tries to find a suitable replacement.”
“Why can’t I at least get an angel,” you grumble. “If I was Michael’s sword, I’d say yes only to kick Lucifer’s ass.”
“No, you won’t say yes to anyone!” Dean raises his voice. “None of these angel dicks will get a yes from a Winchester ever again. It’s worse enough that Sammy and Adam said yes once. Look where it got us.”
“Do you think Adam is still in hell?” You wonder while your brothers try to not think about Adam. They never had the chance to get to know their half-brother. Maybe that’s why they can push the memories of him away most of the time.
“Sweetheart let’s not think about this now,” Dean gently pats your head. “We have enough on our plate.”
“Hmm…” You nod thoughtfully. “What if he doesn’t find a new meat suit? How many people can carry him for longer than a few days?”
“He’ll always find a way to sneak his way into a weak person’s mind…”
All of you are silent for a moment. Castiel is out there, looking for Lucifer while you and your brothers try to find a way to finally bring the devil down.
You stare at the map table, sighing deeply. How shall you find the devil?
“Hello boys,”  your cheeks heat up and you giggle when Crowley appears out of nowhere. Just like all those years ago, he managed to sneak behind your back to poke your side. “Hello, darling.”
“What are you doing here, Crowley?” Dean huffs. He glares at Crowley and curls his upper lip. The king of hell still reminds him of his time as a demon, and Dean hates remembering this time.
“Wings is out there looking for Lucifer,” the king of hell slides his fingertips over the map table, eyes glued to you. You sigh happily because he’s finally back. “I thought you could need help.”
“Dean?” Sam furrows his brows.
“How do you want to help us? Stab us in the back?” Dean spats at the demon.
“Hey, if you work with a demon, you get burned,” Crowley shrugs. His eyes still glued to you he circles the map table. “Maybe I know where Lucifer is hiding. I could need backup, though.”
“You mean you need a pawn to sacrifice,” Dean snaps at Crowley. You sigh deeply. Yes, Crowley is a demon. The king of hell. Still, you cannot deny that he helped you and your brothers more than once. He even saved you from that monster years back.
Sometimes you wonder if things were differently if you weren’t the little Winchester.
Would the king of hell pay more attention to you? Would he look at you differently?
You bite your index finger while watching him. He’s wearing a new suit. It’s all black as always, but you can see the difference.
“Nice new suit,” you suddenly say, snapping your mouth shut seconds later. “Uh…”
“Thank you, pipsqueak,” Crowley flashes you a smile, making you feel warm. He’s a natural flirt. All the pretty women, humans, or creatures are not all over him for nothing. “At least one of you has a good taste. I like your shirt too.” He points at the plain Zepplin shirt Dean got for you last month. It’s secondhand and washed out, but your heart flutters because Crowley complimented you.
Things would be so much easier for you if you didn’t have a crush on the king of hell for years. It only got worse when Sam tried to cure Crowley years ago.
“I don’t trust you,” Dean huffs.
“I came here to help, Squirrel,” Crowley flashes you a smile, “Moose, Pipsqueak. Your choice.”
“Why not join forces, Dean? He’s the king of hell and knows more about Lucifer than anyone else. We have been Temporary Allies with demons and even Lucifer in the past. Why not trust Crowley?”
“Aw, my sweet darling,” Crowley chirps. He leans against the map table next to you to pat your head. You’d be happy he touched you, but this feels wrong. He should hug and kiss you, not pat you like a dog. “The only reasonable Winchester like always. Such a sweet girl.”
“Hey, hands off my sister,” Dean warns. He doesn’t like the way Crowley looks at you. The hunter doesn’t have the time to worry about the king of hell’s attention too while hunting Lucifer.
“Jealous, Squirrel?” Crowley flashes Dean a smile. “Do you want a pat too? You know, your sister is much cuter and nicer. Right, darling.”
You stare at Crowley, feeling a little light-headed. In all the years you have known him, he never paid much attention to you…

You are somewhere between dreamland and reality when you feel the strong sunshine burning your eyelids. Usually, you have very intense dreams, but today you woke up not remembering any of them, you feel like you just had the best sleep in a very long time. You turn over to the other side so you can finally open your eyes without getting blind.
When you open both eyes, you feel as if your head is about to split open. You wonder what is this terrible headache, maybe you are getting sick? You start thinking back to what you did yesterday, that made you feel this way, but you don't remember much after you went out for dinner with your friends.
You try to sit up, but to do that, you have to support yourself up because your head is pulling you back to bed. You slip into your warm slippers and head toward the kitchen. Your bag and shoes from last night are on the floor in the living room. And you finally reach your destination in the kitchen, you see the huge mess there, you swear to god you left everything clean when you left yesterday. When did you even have time or ability to cook?
You just need a coffee and you will be fine, you think. But before that, you make your way to the bathroom, because you don't know how much water you drank yesterday, but you really need to pee ever since you woke up. When you enter the bathroom, you are greeted by a very interesting sight. The sink is full of bloody tissues. You got really scared. Are you injured by any chance somewhere? You look over every part of your body, but nowhere do you see anything unusual, except for some purple bruises.
You are deep in your thoughts when you leave the room, and just then the front door opens and your boyfriend enters your apartment, in his hands there is a bag full of things.
"Oh, are you up already?" He is surprised. He walks over to the kitchen counter and puts everything down from his hands. Then he walks up to you. "How are you feeling?" He asks.
The frames of last night suddenly play through your mind.
You run to the door when you hear someone ringing your doorbell nonstop. You already know who it is, who is so impatient, that can't wait even a minute for you to get there in a normal space.
"Omg, Wooyoung I gave you a key for a reason. You can use it whenever you like, you know that right?" You open the door for him, with hands on your hips.
"But I can't possibly know what you're doing in there, what if I interrupt something?" You can see a mischievous look on his face. "You just like it if I open the door for you, aren't you?" You already know him well enough to know he has other intentions.
"I like it when you greet me with a kiss, what's wrong with that?" He said it with a pouty voice. He is seriously so cute, you think. "So where is my kiss then?" You made a quick peck on his lips and pulled him inside. "What is this big rush, that I can't even get a proper kiss from my girlfriend?"
"The others are already there Babe. I hate to be late you know that." You said as you were putting on your shoes and your jacket. When you're finally ready to go you pull Wooyoung out of your apartment by his hands and literally rushed to the restaurant.
As you said before everyone else was there already, they had a really big table for themself. Yunho was the first one who noticed that you have arrived. "Oh, the real party finally came!" He shouted, and everybody turned towards you.
"You couldn't wait for me to arrive, aren't you?" Wooyoung felt flustered by his mates' comments, suddenly he became all smiley. "Not you, you dumbass. Y/N! She is more fun than anybody here." Hongjoong confessed while Wooyoung seemed really disappointed, so you grabbed his hands and squeezed them to cheer him up.
"Come Y/n, you're already behind us, you have to have at least one drink with each one of us." Jongho speaks from behind, everybody seems tipsy already.
"Can I at least order my food first?" You joked with them, sitting down at the end of the table with your boyfriend.
After a couple of hours, you really did drink with all eight of your friends and even beyond that. Of all the people, it was Mingi who was almost at the same level as you. He grabbed the bottle and poured another round for the two of you, but your boyfriend took the glass away from you before you could drink it. "I think she had enough for today." And he drank that shot himself. It was known that Wooyoung handled alcohol very well, but he didn't drink that much tonight on purpose. When he drinks with you, he never dares to relax, not because he feels tense or something, but because he wants to be himself around you all the time and take care of you if something goes wrong.
"Come on man! Don't be such a party killer. Y/n is a big girl, she can decide for herself, right?" Mingi didn't have any bad intentions, but little did he know, you definitely had enough to drink, because you heard everything, but weren't able to answer. It's like someone is blocking your brain and the ability to speak up.
Wooyoung put your arms around his neck, so it would be easier for you to get up, he didn't dare to let go of you. "Hey Sweetheart, can you get up on your own?" He whispered to your ears, he didn't want anybody else to hear, because he knew you would get embarrassed. You looked up at him and said "Of course I can, but I like it better in your arms Handsome" with the biggest smile on your face.
Your boyfriend is so glad that you are drunk now and can't make fun of how flustered he got by your sudden flirting, but he couldn't deal with that right now. He had one thing on his mind and that is he needs to get you home safe.
While he was calling for a taxi, you were clinging to his waist the whole time, to stay balanced. The ride home was a whole other journey, that Wooyoung thought was the most stressful experience of his life so far. The battle of you throwing up or not, with a fully open window and the slowest drive ever, he couldn't believe when he got out of the car in front of your apartment complex that he survived.
When you got into your apartment, you said that you felt completely fine now, and he could go home if he wanted to. He knew from this sentence that you weren't fine at all because you would never refuse a sleepover with him, he knew how much you loved when he cuddled you to sleep.
"Baby, what about you taking a really good shower then I put you to bed, hm?" He was so desperate to complete this mission.
"But I'm really hungry...I think I'll cook something." You opened the fridge and started to get some stuff out that didn't really make sense, like a couple of eggs, ketchup, and orange juice. It is a known fact that you cannot cook, but somehow you felt the sudden urge to learn it in the middle of the night. Wooyoung walked up to you and took the knife away from your hand, he knew it is already dangerous in your hand in general, not speaking when you were drunk, the sight terrified him. "What if I cook you something until you have your shower?" He couldn't believe he had to cook you dinner, after having dinner at the restaurant.
"So you're not gonna join me, huh?" He was surprised by your boldness, he really liked it when you acted like this on any other occasion. But he knew he can't do that, not when you are in a state like this. "Not today." But he gave a small peck on your lips.
-
Wooyoung was almost done with his Haejangguk when he heard a loud thud coming from the bathroom. At first, he didn't know what it could be, but knowing you, how clumsy you are, he knew something was wrong. He immediately ran up to the door and knocked on it. "Hey, is everything okay there?" He did want to just break the door in you. But when he didn't get an answer he had no other choice, and when he opened the door his worst nightmare was in front of his eyes, something that only happens in nightmares. You passed out right in the middle of the shower.
He never was this afraid in his life, he opened the shower door, the water was still running. The first thing he checked was if you had any injuries, you might have hit your head badly, so he was ready to rush into the hospital. But gladly he didn't find any injuries on your body. He pulled you out of that cold shower cabin and close the water. He accidentally cut himself on the big chaos with his razor on the sink when he was looking for your towel, at the moment he was the least concerned about that. He took a handful of tissues and wiped the blood off his wound.
"You joined after all?" He felt like he could breathe again when he heard your voice. He hugged you tightly to himself.
He wrapped you up in a towel, and swooped you up in his arms then brought you to your bed. He found the perfect pajamas for you, it was your comfiest one, and he helped you put it on. Then when he pulled your blanket all the way up to your neck he couldn't help himself but admire your face for a little while. "Please don't scare me like this ever again." He stroked a piece of hair out of your face, but you were already dozing off.
-
Oh fuck, last night was an actual nightmare. You took Wooyoung's hand in yours to take a closer look. And there it is, that cut from last night. "How is your hand?" You ask very concerned. You feel very guilty, it's partly your fault.
"Do you remember what happened?" You wish you would not remember anything, maybe then it would be easier to face the people from yesterday. This whole situation is just so embarrassing, you knew you were not a heavy- weighted drinker before, but this never happened before.
"Unfortunately." You say quietly, maybe he wouldn't hear it. You must have been such a pain in the ass for poor Wooyoung. And what are the others think of you right now? You would rather bury yourself in the deepest hole if you could. "I'm so sorry." You looked down ashamed.
"Don't worry, it happens to everyone sometimes. The others are in worse conditions, I think you won after all." His words comforted you a little, but there was still a thing that bothered you.
"You haven't answered me yet. So how is your hand? Does it hurts a lot?" You placed your palms on his chest, while he was looking for the right words to say because he didn't want you to worry too much about him. "It's not that bad I swear. I was just careless." Huhh if he was careless, then what were you? "I'm more worried about your head, to be honest. Do you feel anything unusual?" He strokes your head gently.
"It hurts a lot, but it's nothing more than a simple hangover." He placed a soft kiss on your cheek as you reassured him.
The rumbling of your stomach ruined this intimate moment. "Are you hungry? I made some Haejangguk last night." Ohh so it was him, mystery solved. Then you didn't miraculously learn how to cook in the middle of the night. What a pity.

Hello everyone and welcome once again to my brain! Today I want to ramble a bit about
✨️ Tsukasa and Rakunosuke (Emu's grandpa) parallels ✨️
Because I feel like we don't talk about them much. Or at all actually
Now, I'm not pulling this out of nowhere. It's quite literally stated at least once, outright, in the game, that Tsukasa is really similar to Emu's grandpa (or even twice – but the other time I'm unsure 100% whether its about Tsukasa specifically, which I'll get to later). That's not to mention the other little things throughout the stories that I think similar between the two
So here's just some thoughts I've had on the topic after rewatching some events, more or less cohesive
1) Tsukasa's PXL auditon & WMS speech
Starting at the very beginning, we've known ever since the wxs main story that there's something in Tsukasa that has drawn Emu in to him already the first time she's ever saw him, at his audition for PXL, which made her hire him herself. She says "found you" at that moment, as if she's been searching for someone exactly like him. Out of all the possible candidates who applied who she might've seen, why Tsukasa specifically?
It could be just about him boasting about making fantastic shows, which of course is a part of it. But I feel like this isn't all, that there was something else that she noticed, that maybe she didn't fully realise at that moment
Then later, in Wonder Magical Showtime, after Tsukasa's motivational speech, Emu specifically thinks back to that audition and how she felt something special there. And, most importantly, she thinks it as if she's talking to her grandpa – like he's somehow tied to it, to her realisation that Tsukasa is the one
Tumblr media
Putting aside the fact they were fighting for Rakunosuke's park, which obviously makes Emu think back to him, there's something more. Emu doesn't think anything of the sort about Rui, even though he was the one who came up with the night show, or about Nene. Nor did she mention any kind of this strong feeling/conviction about having them on the Wonder Stage in the main story
She's focused on Tsukasa, because he's the one that brought all these people together and gave them the last push they needed to fight for PXL. He's the one they listen to, he who understands what this park was all about and why they need to save it. He's standing on the stage her grandpa built, looking at all those people working here, and he's leading them, telling them this dream CAN be made a reality and it's more important than anything else
And I feel like she could have looked at that and been reminded of her grandpa a bit, with how much he loved the park he built and brought people together with the same ideals and love and made dreams come true
2) Miles
Speaking of WMS, I'm sure we all remember Miles, the sorcerer Tsukasa played in the night show in WMS, and how he was a character very clearly based on Rakunosuke. It's not very surprising it's Tsks who got this role, but it's still interesting to me. It feels like no-one else would've been able to get this character right and neither would Emu as Shao with someone else playing Miles
I won't get into what "Miles" Tsukasa says in the play, because that's just the script and not a representation of Tsukasa himself, but I do want to draw attention to the specific scene where Emu's father is watching the night show and looks at Tsukasa, then says this:
Tumblr media
This is the first time that – i suspect – Tsukasa is outright "stated" to be like Rakunosuke. Here I say "suspected" since I'm not 100% sure of it for two reasons. One of them being that as we know, the ensekai translation is sometimes often bad. For that I looked up the original text as well as an old translation of the event on YT to check for differences
Tumblr media
The line ends up being similar in meaning, more or less, but a bit more vague. That also ties to my second doubt though, which is that Emu's father might be referring not to Tsukasa himself, per se, but rather to the character of Miles he's playing
I feel like both can make sense, in their own way (and the event is a Tsukasa focus for a reason, too), but for here I'm throwing it more as a hint than any kind of outright proof. Food for thought
3) Tsukasa and Rakunosuke's deams
Then, as we reach Popping in my Heart! and learn more of Rakunosuke from Riley's pov, there's another interesting thing that pops up. That is, the fact that Tsukasa and Rakunosuke share the same dream
Tumblr media
And then, that's when Emu confirms what I've talked about before – that this whole time, she's felt something about Tsukasa being so reminding of her Grandpa
Tumblr media
So Tsukasa has all this time "carried the same spirit" as Rakunosuke – which is possibly the reason why Emu has been feeling strangely drawn to him from the beginning
4) The Wonderland SEKAI
Hey. Hey. Remember this line?
(tl by tsukasa's #3 fan on YT)
Tumblr media
Yeah, this one. The same reason why wxs even has "Wonderlands" in their troupe name
You know what else has Wonderland in its name?
That's right! Tsukasa's SEKAI!
Tsukasa's SEKAI. A different world that's created from his feelings, that's a place born from his desire to make everyone smile with his shows. A world that just recently expanded to include plushies representing all those different shows – different worlds – wxs created as a troupe. It's a world that Tsukasa, in a way, made by himself (albeit unconsciously)
Oh did I mention the Wonderland SEKAI is also, primarily, pre-wl, a theme park? With a big ass ferris wheel and several stages and a castle and a train and a merry-go-round, a rollercoaster and more? You know, kind of just like Phoenix Wonderland? Which was built by Emu's grandpa?
Do you ever think about that? That both Tsukasa and Rakunosuke "made" their own "Wonderlands"? That the SEKAI is so similar to PXL? Because I do
Anyway. Those were the main similarities or references I noticed, but I still have some few other miscellaneous thoughts i had aside from that that I'll sum up a bit quicker
Tsukasa and Emu's grandpa both care more about the shows (& pxl) themselves and the effect they have on people to make them smile than any kind of fame or recognition
Tumblr media
A reminder, too, that despite the movie's popularity, nobody really knew that Rakunosuke worked on "Smiley" (or that it was even a Riley Entertainment movie at all)
There's also the fact that both tsks and rknsk get stuck more on the excitement they want their audiences to feel rather than on the technical sides or worries about how it would be possible – as seen with Rakunosuke convincing Riley to include all his dreams and ideas in "Smiley" without focusing as much on the budget and all to install that wonder in the viewers, and Tsukasa doing anything to perfect his acting, and also agreeing to most of Rui's stunts and experiments and production ideas as long as it gets the audience to become more immersed
I noticed as well that they're both people who wear their hearts on their sleeves, who easily get emotional and enthusiastic, who empathise a lot with the others' emotions and struggles, becoming happy when something good happens to them
Tumblr media
^ he cried here. And later at the fan festa seeing nene sing confidently and happily he teared up again
And also just *gestures vaguely at pandemonium event and Rui's "tsukasa's friends' happiness is his own happiness" line*. Yeah
Most importantly, Tsks and Rknsk both care so, so much about shows ending with smiles and not tears
Tumblr media
And overall about everyone smiling and being happy. Like Tsukasa telling Emu in the main story, on the ferris wheel, that when her grandpa meant making EVERYONE smile, it included Emu, too, and he wanted to make sure she's happy as well
There's also everything with Emu, too. The way she's very clingy with Tsukasa, always throwing herself at him (not that she isn't with everyone, but she does seem to jump at him the most often)
She's also implied to open up a bit more around him – in Smile of a Dreamer, when wxs expressed their worries about emu hiding her problems, KAITO implies that its unusual she "hasn't told EVEN Tsukasa"
Tumblr media
And it's Tsukasa who first understood that, despite how it may seem that "she always is so optimistic and says whatever's on her mind", in the end "the bigger the problem, the less likely she is to talk" (paraphrased quotes from smile of a dreamer). And also underdstood what's the most important to her and how to give her a push to voice her worries to them
It's Tsukasa who Emu first got so scared of leaving their troupe and her behind
I simply feel like Emu is aware of the similarities her grandpa and Tsukasa share and, subconsciously, trusts him a lot and gets attached to him easily
Anyway. This is just a bunch of thoughts that came to mind that I wanted to share and hear your thoughts on maybe too. I love emukasa so much they have such a great dynamic, and I feel the implied similarities between Rakunosuke and Tsukasa add a lot to that too. I'm really curious if it'll be something they'll explore more in future events. Because I feel these parallels are there for some reason
