Firstly - where have I been? Work REALLY picked up in a way I wasn't expecting over the last...4 months? I was working double and often triple the hours I was used to. With work, vacations, random illnesses, and many video games I got a bit too obsessed with, this blog took a backseat. Plus, sometimes I get disinterested in vore when obsessed with something else. Sometimes, that lasts months, and it did this time.

But now I can confirm that work will FINALLY chill for a long period of time. I'm free! And more motivated than ever! Wahoo! Thanks for your support ALWAYS.

Next big question - when am I going to do more of my story? The one with Asyr? AHHHHHGHHGHH this story has consumed my life. I think about it daily. I dream about it. And yet I'm not as comfortable writing as I am drawing, so writing is a slow process that my perfectionist ass struggles with. I can assure you that there is a story in the works - and I am working on it at a snail's pace.

Im piggilybacking off of the sukufushi anon's post but i do want to talk about how most of the english fandom likes.megumi over yuuji (which fine to esch their own) and the only way they can show it? By shittalking.... not actually creating anything for megumi just.... shittalking yuuji.

Its the complete opposite in the japanese and a few ither asian communities, ive heard they love yuuji and dislike megumi. But ive never seen them shit talk nearly as much as westerners do.

Likw you'd think theyd go and create an au or a fanfic to live their fantasies but they dont even do that.

Ive been in all dofferent types of fandoms since the early 2000s but this trend of just dissing other characters happens alot more nowadays, it makes me not want to interact with fandoms, and its almost always either normies who got into anime during covid.

Hello, sorry, this is a late answer but yeah it sucks. I'm mostly on the Eastern fandom and I just can't meet on the same line with the Western. It just hurts me to see their opinion about Yuuji. Like, nooo.. he's the sweetest character. But it's also funny how I'm the opposite with Megumi. I don't hate him tho but he's just fine. I don't like some of his fans tho lol. And if they're gonna ship skfs, why don't they stay there instead of batshitting Yuuji? Their opinions about him can be so disgusting.

And yes, you're right about the new phase of the fandom culture. It's less sensitive way back on 2015. I was 10 at that time and there were less criticisms and people were just having fun. But now, people are just dissing each other and what I don't get with the Western fandom is that they feel the need to slander a character. I don't like how some Westerners that are vocal on things that are unnecessary and worse is the misconception of the characters. Like, okay, people have different interpretations, but how they voice them out like facts is so irritating to me. And yes, I absolutely hate the drastic change of fandom culture in 2020. A lot of people have time on their hands and the fandom fell into the normies that people forget how to have fun without criticisms. Like, no offense to the normies, but I hate them having to call out literally unnecessary things.

saw you're tags from the post where i bag on arise but like. first things first i will say play it if you want! im not controlling anybody do what u want but i wouldnt reccomend buying and playing it bc i cant rationalize any price for it. abyss is a much better and more solid game.

my only praise of the game is that it looks pretty but in the way that a lot of games nowadays look with perfect clean maps and environments.

otherwise? arise is lacking severely to me. i'd describe the main story as "baby's first analysis on racism." it isnt a good analysis of racist societies at all and there are a few games where racism is a topic that comes up (like symphonia) and while it isnt handled the best in other tales games its somehow. worse in arise. the story arc for one guy in the party really is "you were basically a slave owner and part of this cycle of abuse bc u were forced to be but you didnt torture anyone so who cares!" and while he does end up abandoning that system and joining the party to turn on it...the flippancy about it gets me. the story also doesnt help itself by being very impersonal with all of the antagonists, which is a big thing in abyss and other tales that i enjoyed that is completely gone here.

the main party is also more disjointed feeling than in other tales games where a big part of going through the games is seeing the party get closer as time goes on and in arise they do kind of just get boiled down to a basic found family dynamic in the game itself. one character, kisara (the resident *sexy woman*) is essentially boiled down to being a mother and serving the entire party (and it doesnt help considering she is dahnan, which is the ensalved race in the game). there are some little moments of growth between the party members i enjoy but beside these little things it really is just a whatever cast to me.

tl;dr arise just feels like a mess that wants you to take it seriously when it is the weakest tales game ive played.

ok so i spent the last. 4? days binge-watching su after watching a yt vid that was titled 'in defense of steven universe' and a bit of the followup vid partly bc i was healing from my neck pain but also because i was super into the show when i was like 14 and like. the vids were well. He's rather enthusiastic to have a partner he cares for so much, but if you've told him or if he's noticed that you'd prefer for him to turn down the hype a little, he'll definitely try to be a little more "chill" about it. He's rather inexperienced, but he's always eager to do his best in any situation, and when it comes to you he tries to bring his A-game and do his best to make you feel happy and loved.

He would absolutely love to learn about new things with you! Despite how he may seem, he's actually pretty knowledgable (when it comes to cybertronian artifacts and history, of course) and a fast learner. That isn't to mention that as a new-comer to Earth, he intends to learn as much as he can about the planet, not only because he thinks it'd be good to better understand the species he's trying to protect, but also out of genuine interest himself.

So if there are any interesting facts about the planet that you'd like to share with him, or books you'd be willing to lend him, you'll be his go-to source for everything there is to know about earth and humans. (A brief callback to one of my other things, this of course means that he'll be calling you whenever he has a question about something, but the more he does it, the more it seems like he isn't actually curious about what he's calling to ask you about, but rather he's instead doing it to hide the fact he really just wants to talk to you.)

And of course in exchange for everything you tell him about Earth, he's going to return the favor (as long as you ask him something he actually knows about)... But with your interest in space, he'd be able to tell you a lot of things about the stars and cosmos, all of which he learned about in the academy and from Alpha Trion while he was a guard at Iacon. Or he could tell you about cybertronian history, or cybertronian customs that he thinks you'd find interesting or funny.

But aside from that, he'd strive to impress you in whatever way possible, but unfortunately that's a bit... Difficult for him, since the first things that come to mind include feats of strength and shows of his fighting capabilities, but due to your dislike of violence, he decides to opt for other means instead. He quite literally searches up "ways to impress your crush" online and tries out the ones he thinks you'd like the most, like showing off his smarts, or showing that he's really interested in whatever's on your mind.

He's also the type of S/O who'd definitely try out stuff that their partner's into, so he's willing to try out a whole bunch of your hobbies if it means the two of you get to hang out together. I'd like to imagine he's particularly fond of listening to you play music, and perhaps he even hums along when he grows more familiar with the tune.

He'd definitely try to help you come out of your shell and he actively encourages you to live life whatever way makes you happy and live life with no regrets. He's also pretty quick to recognize most of his mistakes and make up for them accordingly. He also always emphasizes that he promises to learn from them (and he does for your sake).

He's actually pretty chill and easy-going as a partner. He doesn't usually do any showy romantic expressions of love (unless you like them), but that doesn't mean he takes the relationship lightly. He particularly enjoys just spending as much time with you as he can in your day-to-day lives. You don't have to do anything special like go on dates, he's just perfectly content hanging out with you and doing whatever you can together.

And contrary to how he looks as a "big brutish tough guy", he's actually very gentle and chill when it comes to you. He enjoys joking around and maybe the two of you even have a few inside jokes that you laugh about from time to time.

He's pretty fond of the great outdoors too! And though patrolling may still be tedious work, the scenery makes it all the more worthwhile. Not to mention that it isn't as boring whenever you offer to tag along for the ride. There are other times where the two of you go on foot, and he'll let you sit up on his shoulders to let you get a good view of the area. Or if there are any neat trees you'd want a closer look at, he'll make sure to lift you up there carefully and let you pick a leaf or a flower out of them.

Whenever the two of you patrol sparsely populated areas with lots of wildlife, he'll occasionally point out animals here and there, and he'll sorta make a game out it.

Of course he isn't any good at naming the animals he sees, but he thinks that it's neat that you get to tell him what those animals are, or what that plant is, or what that other neat thing is that he saw on the road.

And I feel like he isn't that squeamish or disgusted by bugs, and I think he'd find beetles or any kind of resilient or strong bug super cool despite their miniature stature.

Animals aside, Knockout once recommended that Breakdown should take you out to the theater, saying that it was a romantic thing that humans do. So you can expect drive-in theater movie nights to be a frequent thing from time to time. He'll let you sit in his cab and he parks somewhere with a good view of the screen. theres no ultraman in here, but thats actually kinda cool, too?

cuz instead of super hero coming and saving the day its just normal people running into a monster and going "oh shit oh fuck oh no what are gonna die oh shit we are gonna die fuck what should we do" and they somehow make it through

the main characters are a woman working as a newspaper reporter/photographer. in the first ep she almost died to a monster induced cave in and monster attack and in the third ep when she heard about another monster sighting she immediately volunteered to go and take photos

and when they do find the monster - and two dead guys, nobody really reacts with a lot of shock or fear - and they start running, she just stops to take some pictures

the other characters are... employees at an airport? mituya air service it said on one poster.

its funny how theres barely any explanation. nobody says who anybody is. one guy picks up a ringing phone and just "yes hello this is the office"

one guy that seems to wear a cop uniform is being questioned by reporters about some object falling into the ocean and just says "ah yes we shot a rocket to mars 6 months ago, this is the capsule that came back"

like. who is this guy? no name used. he didnt introduce himself. is this the government? military? i have no idea.

and even though the show is super old, the production quality is obviously extremely high and it still looks absolutely amazing now. and whats more: the episodes themselves feel fresh. or maybe its because i dont watch stuff like that.

but in ep 3 they encounter a monster snail from mars and they run away from it. pilot guy shoots at it with a gun (so military after all? or does he just carry a gun? why did pilot guy go in with reporter girl to check out the monster? is that in his job description? what kinda job is that?) until he runs out of bullets. then he straight up throws the gun at the snail.

thats hilarious? like, i wouldnt be surprised seeing it nowadays. it would be a bit tiring in a comedy show, but played straight in a monster show its kinda refreshing.

and they kept running away from the snail on this steep cliffs until it... accidentally fell down into the ocean. where it dissolved. probably because of the salt? thats fucking hilarious.

like its not a deep show, the episodes are only 25min, the formula seems pretty basic, so dont expect a masterpiece or anything, but its kinda entertaining.

they took out the capsule and then we have... this scene of people gathered in a space themed room. and they have name plates. "doctor". "observer". "press". thats so stupid its funny?

also no explanation given who is who and what is even this.

annoshik: empire with divine monarchy, pemadae majority, used to hold the most power til gnemmia was set free by king kontekitann. like to use magic for weaponry and fucked up nonsense

gnemmia: mostly just a region with autonomous towns, bumidae and homidae majority, was part of the annoshiki empire til they were freed. idk theyre chill

janggok: empire, bumidae majority, had control of gnemmia BEFORE annoshik took it. i dont have much on this place either outside of Its Fucking Cold

ketvidae lands: a bunch of different chiefdoms, ketvidae majority (obviously), they mind their own business mostly

xizekh: kingdom with a weird complicated system for choosing monarchs, ketvidae majority, also mostly mind their own business but its because theyre geographically isolated. prehistoric ketvidae got stranded there and experienced island dwarfism so theyre tiny lol

kumaku: a bunch of acephalous communities similar to gnemmia's setup, regrettably i have still not figured out the newadae's deal so i will have to get back to yall on it later

old dzenn: old homeland of the atridae that was conquered by iuraph, now most atridae are nomadic in the annoshik/gnemmia/iuraph triangle. the place is a hotspot for political tension nowadays mostly

iuraph: 'democracy', homidae majority, probably holds the most power in sumakha right now. they also use a lot of magic but its mostly for practical everyday use. they kinda have the fantasy equivalent of canada's reputation where they act like besties with everyone but still have a fucked history of imperialism like annoshik does

sapient species

this stuff is very barebones cus most stuff about them will be in their respective tags i think

pemadae: fucked up deer with predator eyes and raptop stances. omnivorous. diurnal. weird love for arthropod meat specifically.

bumidae: bear/ruminant/ground sloth/general fluffy guys. herbivorous but not strictly, some living in janggok will opportunistically eat meat. diurnal.

ketvidae: mustelid/cat/lemur guys. carnivorous. arboreal. nocturnal.

newadae: again these guys are a work in progress but i am leaning towards them being like freshwater octopus-like amphibians. thats all ive got rn

atridae: vulture/raptor guys. omnivorous scavengers. can fly. diurnal. eusocial on some level, but i haven't fully figured it out/will get to that in its own post.

homidae: basically just humans but shorter and hairier, also they have more of a chimp-like stance and still have handfeet. omnivorous. crepuscular.

magic

magic comes from crystals which may or may not actually be weird bacteria/microorganisms idk i havent decided yet. crystals start off as a pure white 'base' form that can be used for a bunch of things but can be further specialized into the above categories by transforming them (dousing it in blood to make a body crystal, lighting it on fire to make a fire crystal, etc etc). crystals need to recharge after prolonged use. usually mages will wear them in the form of jewelry but sometimes theyre embedded into weapons, and recently iuraphan mages have been experimenting with using 'pure' crystals as a power source for different tech
