I feel like the sentiment that shipping Lucy with Cooper/The Ghoul replaces Barb as his canonical love interest ignores the fact that Cooper and Barb already had their time in the sun. They had a great, long relationship. They had a daughter and a family together. It was a good marriage. And then it ENDED. Not because of the bombs dropping but because they got DIVORCED. Cooper divorced her after finding out the truth (which is something a lot of viewers seemed to have missed apparently). There maybe plenty of things unresolved between them but the relationship was over, a long, long time before Lucy comes along.

not convinced that this website can really handle having a nuanced discussion of transmisogyny but even thee most vocal bloggers seem to be of the opinion that "crossdressers aren't TMA!!" which. perhaps TMA/E language represents something different than the actual terminology speaks for, but it feels worth noting that julia serrano, who coined the term transmisogyny, also talks about using "transgender" as a term distinctly different from "transsexual", i.e. as an umbrella to combine and empower a community of many many different forms of gender deviant, including crossdressers by name - if gender is a social construct, crossdressers are by definition performing a social role that is deviant from their ASAB/AGAB. whereas transsexuals are those who choose some sort of physical transition. but instead public discussion has simply decided that "transgender = PC transsexual" and we're left here determining whether crossdressers can face transmisogyny based on unclear terminology instead of, you know, the extremely evident reality that they are facing many of the same kinds of anti-effeminacy as we are.

I like Viv as an artist, shes inspired me since frickin middleschool with her animations, character designs, and now 2 shows holy crap. I just really wish she'd get off social media for her own mental health cuz good god it's not great to see a whole thread of tweets arguing with someone about the dislike of fanfiction having homophobic undertones its just... agdhdh Viv is a pretty controversial person due to unfortunate past events and having shows that present some darker subject matter. Honestly? I want to see Viv not just move past the previous controversy, but learn from it to be better. Its totally fair tho if you think the handling of certain topics arent done well, there are things people will have preference over. And I dont give a fuck about shipping, I dont wanna see it, frankly. If you're doin somethin shady with it and I see it I'm certainly not going to like it and I'll do my best to not interact with you, but I think we should make tagging things just a common thing? Keeps things organized and people can intake what they want while the stuff they dont want is not being shown to them. Same goes with headcanons they're someone imagining something, they arent holding the creators hostage to make it canon. Canon is silly anyways! Both the OG and a headcanon can exist because AUs and headcanons are just another version of the thing. Headcanons arent going to change the episodes, they'll still be the same way the creators made it. So like... chill.

hell yeah!! i kinda bullshitted the pudding recipe based off of a few other recipes + past experience, so here ya go!!

(i had previously opened an 18oz can of coconut cream and these measurements are based on that leftover amount of coconut. it made about... 1.75cups of pudding. if you have a full 18oz can, i'd say roughly double these amounts)

10oz coconut cream (regular coconut milk works just fine, but the cream is definitely nicer)

3/8 cup cocoa powder (better cocoa = better pudd)

1tbsp vanilla extract

1/2tsp salt

3/8 cup brown sugar (regular sugar is ok, i just always use brown sugar for everything)

1tbsp arrowroot powder (probably needed a bit more. or equivalent amount of cornstarch)

1.5tbsp (i think) cinnamon (i was a little overzealous with the cinnamon) (also if you have it maybe also include a pinch of nutmeg+allspice+clove here for a more well rounded spice)

dump the coconut cream into a small heavy-bottom saucepan. i used my little ramen pot—anything that will have even and consistent contact with the burner. heat on medium (4/10 heat). whisk a bit to even out the consistency, since the cream will probably be a bit separated.

add the cocoa powder. first 1/4 cup, then whisk until fully dispersed. it didn't look dark enough so i added another half a 1/4 cup. keep adding cocoa til it looks chocolatey!

add salt, 1/4 cup sugar, and a moderate pour of vanilla. whisk. keep gently whisking. taste it. is it sweet enough? if not add another 1/8 cup of sugar (or just another brown sugar clump lol)

keeeeeep whisking. add in your thickener (arrowroot/corn starch) and cinnamon. whisk more.

by now if your stove is decent, you'll be starting to boil a bit. keep whisking. never stop (gently!) whisking. lightly scrape the bottom of the pot with the whisk. a little down there will stick/burn, but that's okay. it cleans out after a soapy hot water soak well enough.

whisk for 2-5 minutes at that low boil. you might need to lower the heat a notch here, but don't let it get so cold it stops wanting to bubble the instant you stop stirring. corn starch will thicken faster than arrowroot during this phase.

kill the heat and pour into a bowl. scrape out every last drop with a spatula. lick the spatula. revel in your creation. seal bowl with lid/plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours until cold. placing the bowl in the fridge on top of/surrounded by ice packs will expedite this process (while also not disturbing your fridge's standing temp too much)
