Ohhhh, Anon's perfect apple ask is now giving me blessed imagery of Dusknoir cutting apple slices into bunny shapes. Maybe for Opal, maybe for him to show off, either way.
The soft, the dexterity, the GENTLENESS after such a prolonged period of violence he had undergone. Opal called him her gramps for a reason, after all.

Hey how does it feel to have given me a prompt that had me tearing up all throughout the process of drawing it because of how unbearably heartfelt and endearing it is?

Can we talk about The Dying Swan moment in Coda? As someone who was once a very serious ballerina, I need to talk about the Dying Swan. Here's your context --
CHAKOTAY: Harry's clarinet solo was okay. I could have done without Tuvok's reading of Vulcan poetry. But the highlight of the evening was definitely Kathryn Janeway portraying the Dying Swan.
JANEWAY: I learned that dance when I was six years old. I assure you, it was the hit of the Beginning Ballet class.
Have you seen The Dying Swan? It is dramatic.
Here, take a minute:
First of all, this dance is much too advanced for a six-year-old, even if they’re doing it in demi pointe. (Six-year-olds emphatically should not be in pointe shoes btw.) The dance is almost entirely bourees and arm movements done to very subtle musical cues, not the foundational ballet moves typically taught in Beginning Ballet.
This is a very vulnerable, dramatic dance that is effective because of its subtleties. The performer would need to embody that vulnerability in some way for a convincing performance. It's short, but it's a solo piece -- all eyes on you. I mean, it was choreographed for a prima ballerina, BUT THAT'S NOT MY POINT
Can you imagine our unflappable Captain Janeway willingly getting in front of her crew to do this ballet? I get that it’s thematically relevant to the plot of Coda, but since Janeway is only vulnerable in front of her crew when it means putting herself in harm’s way, it seems like a wild decision. She tends to hold herself apart from her crew, maintaining the professional distance of the captain. Further, when she does any creative pursuit, it is almost always in private, since her sister was the artist in the family and she was the scientist. As a captain, she commands Voyager in a much different way than she would as a dancer with this piece. I'm not saying she never shows vulnerability because she definitely does, but not necessarily in this way. Then when she talks about it with Chakotay, she just casually brushes it off with a laugh like no big deal.
There’s also the question of costume – would she have gone full tutu? Done it in her Starfleet uniform? An impeccable yet flow-y white suit? She does get into costume and command a performance in Bride of Chaotica!, but Coda is still kind of early days for our captain. Arachnia aligns more with what we know about Janeway's character.
Granted, it is Chakotay laying down these complements about her dancing ability and he is clearly biased. To be fair, Neelix does too before they leave in the shuttle. If she did this dance and performed it poorly or amazingly, I feel like the crew would look at her a bit differently afterwards.
Canonically she did The Dying Swan, but I certainly have trouble picturing it happening.

Love Talk 4: More mindfucks
Direct follow up from this (we're diving back into the messy love lives from ep 1 again)
Kyoshi: All I'm saying is: I slept with Rangi on my first try, while Kavik refused to sleep in the same bed with you!
Aang: Please Kyoshi! She's already dead! Look at her! She's convulsing!
Kyoshi: Fine, I rest my case.
Roku: That's not the only thing resting. Sigh, Rest in Peace Yangchen.
Korra: I spiritbended her! I think she might be ok, but she'll be out of commission for awhile.
Kyoshi: Tch. Damnit.
Aang: Can we please change the subject?
Kyoshi: The subject's been about love talk, and it's still about love talk. Nothing has change!
Roku: The dead ghost in the corner says otherwise.
Kyoshi: "Dead ghost" do you know how stupid you sound? It's redundant.
Aang: Leave it to Kyoshi to figure out how to kill something that's already dead.
Kuruk, trying to change the subject: So Sei'naka women, am I right?
Kyoshi: ..........
Korra: Wait, Sei'naka....isn't that your wife's clan's name, Kyoshi? Oh wait-no
Kyoshi: God I wanna fucking murder you.
Kuruk: I was just thinking, since you love talking about Rangi-
Korra: C'mon Kuruk, I'm with Kyoshi, even I don't want to think too deeply on you rizzing up a woman, only to die and have your reincarnation end up with her daughter. And the daughter is like a carbon copy of her....
Kyoshi: Thanks for summing up my issues, Korra. Totally didn't need a reminder.
Korra: I'm detecting sarcasm.
Kyoshi: How about you detect this foot up your ass.
Kuruk: Ok ok, calm down, kid. I get it, you're love life is messy and kind of a mind fuck. It could be worse!
Kyoshi: Yeah, I could be you.
Kuruk: I mean you kinda are but. No nvm. Kyoshi, I know I slept with countless women, but that's not the worse-
Kyoshi: Oh no, I mean it must've been a real mindfuck watching your successor, who has your dead wife's face, macking on the daughter of your ex-girlfriend. Watching us, it must've looked like Ummi and Hei-Ran were cucking you, huh buddy?
Kuruk: ......................................

hi!! not a x reader ask but more in general. What do you think Valeria, Laswell and Farrah’s weird/ dumbest habit? Adore ur stuff btw!
Hello! Thank you! These are pretty short as well, but it isn't particularly easy to come up with a dumb habit either!
Valeria’s, Farah’s and Laswell’s Weirdest Habit
Valeria: She has trouble stepping on the edge of shadows. Valeria either has to avoid the shadows on the ground or not step on their edges and step on them entirely. While she can step on a shadow’s edge if she needs to, and as long as she doesn’t look like an idiot in front of her people, she will avoid doing so if she can. She knows it’s stupid, she knows it doesn’t make any sense, but she can’t help it either way.
Farah: She counts her steps whenever she takes a short walk somewhere. Again, she doesn’t know the reason why she does it, she just does. Naturally, she won’t do it when she takes a long walk, but whenever she has a place to get to that’s 200 steps away at most, she’ll count. Even when she’s not doing it consciously, she’ll subconsciously count her steps. It serves no purpose whatsoever but it’s something she’s been doing ever since she was a kid.
Laswell: She has a habit of eating food in a specific order. The part which she likes the least will have been eaten up before anything else, that way the taste of the best part of her food can linger longer than anything else. While she will eat things in a “random” order once she’s aware she looks stupid having eaten one thing for a long time, she will always finish her least favorite part first, no exceptions. Unless there’s a salad, in which case she’ll always finish the salad first.
