As promised here are my “in depth” thoughts about Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie!

Warning Spoilers below!

I thought the movie was pretty fun and exciting! The different team ups between characters were amazing, and they showed off characters and squads (ie; Mantis’s and Lions) who didn’t really get their “times to shine” much in the anime and they introduced really interesting characters with the Wizard Kings!

My favorite team up (besides the BBs ofc) had to be Fue, Nozel, Yami, and Yuno. Not only because 3/4 are my faves (I’ll admit Nozel is growing on me 👀) but because it was so interesting to see, I mean, we’ve seen Nozel and Fue team up before, but we haven’t really seen them team up with either Yami or Yuno. At least not that I can remember. Also we never got to see Yami and Yuno team up with each other either, so that was really fun and exciting to see 😁!

I also LOVED Mereo’s fight against FunnyBunny in the desert, like, it was so awesome to see! I’m glad we got to see just how much Mereo’s squad and brothers mean to her as well and how they give her strength to keep fighting, it really warmed my heart 😭! Also FunnyBunny has my favorite magic out of the Wizard Kings besides Conrad, it just looks so cool 😱’

The BB’s fight was sooo great too! Like the Ice mage’s Chapel and spells were really interesting to me 👀, and I loved the different team ups between the Bulls (like Magna and Gordon, Zora, Nero, and Luck) and how it shows just how great they all worked as a team! NOELLE WAS SO AMAZING THO!! Like we got to see her kick some serious butt against that old guy and just show off how cool her Valkyrie armor is 😁👏!

And I gotta shout out Grey because she showed off her transmutation magic and was absolutely great 🥺, I also loved the “blink and you’ll miss it” moment with her and Gauche 🥰!

I also love the contrast between Asta and Conrad, like, they’re so similar but so different. Asta could have easily become like Conrad if he let all the hate and discrimination that the Nobles and Royals threw at him get to him, but also what happened to Conrad’s family and friends contributed to that mindset too 😅.

WE GOT NACHT and LIEBE CAMEO’s!!! AAAAAHHHHH I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW THEM LIKE 😭😭💕💕💕!! ALSO WE GOT TO SEE LEOPOLD BEING COOL AND FIGHT AGAINST ONE OF THE WIZARD KINGS!

And finally…I NEED MORE LORE ON THE WIZARD KINGS LIKE??? I NEED IT, WHAT WERE THOSE SMALL GLIMPSES OF THE PAST? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM, WHY WERE THEY ALL STRIPPED OF THEIR RANK?? DID THE ICE MAGE KNOW NOELLE SOMEHOW?? I NEED TO KNOW PLEASE I BEG OF YOU 😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏!!!!

My only gripes would be that we didn’t get to see much of Julius and that sometimes I got dizzy and i actually had to close my eyes at one point 😅. But that’s really my only gripes.

Now onto my mother 👀!

Firstly; She thinks Conrad is a cheaty cheaty cheater who does nothing but cheat 😆! She finds Jester annoying af, she said FunnyBunny was Black Clover’s Erza Scarlet, and…she didn’t have any opinions on the Ice Mage other than she felt he was related to Noelle in some way 😅!

She felt the movie was very disappointing, and I think her main problem was with the storyline and character development.

She said it was her least favorite and, in her opinion, the least interesting. She felt that she couldn’t really connect with the bad guys and that the good guys didn’t really “earn” their win since they didn’t get any power upgrades or anything, which is understandable. I think if the movie had been broken up into episodes and more was able to be shown that she would have liked it more 🤔.

She did have parts of it she liked tho! Mainly with Mereo (she is my moms favorite BC female character) 😆.

She loved when Mereo was first shown and said quote: “Yeah She doesn’t play around, she will not hesitate to kick your ass” 😆! She also loved when Mereo grabbed Sekke by the head before he could run away “He deserved it!” was her reasoning as to why she liked it.

And finally she found it HILARIOUS when Grey turned the Ice into Water and Magna began surfing and just randomly said “Alright here we go!”.

I don’t know why she found it so funny, and in turn so did I, but I think it was because of how his VA said it 😆!

Anywho, that's just our opinion. I liked it. Mom didn’t. It happens 😅!

your opinion on ''My Fair Ed''? everyone says edd was a dick in that episode, but I think ed and eddy are waaay worse, causing trouble freely and laughing at his friend's expense. And the kids just playing outright misplaced retribution too...

everyone was so unlikable in this one, I don't think we can't actually take side with someone.

oh ye of little faith. taking sides is one of my few talents. i'm just gonna watch it and write as i go.

i just have to start by saying that there are so many good gags in this episode. the eggplant coffin. ed running circles around the tree while eddy pretends to be chased. rolf's "husky boy masquerade" line. and one of my favorite of edd's drama queen moments with the pretzel boy soliloquy.

right off the bat, we don't talk about edd having to literally shop for his own groceries enough. that's my biggest take away from the first scene. that and he really loves bean pastes.

anyway, yeah ed and eddy are being... ed and eddy in this episode. to me it doesn't seem like they're causing any more damage than they do on any given day.

they've literally demolished jonny's house in the past. all they did this time was accidentally steal plank.

jimmy gets brutalized in nearly episode, it's kind of his thing - nothing new in my fair ed. considering he's not even in a full body cast, i'd say his injuries were mild this time around. and remember, the eds are the reason he wears a retainer.

kevin's bike gets busted all the time so that's also not shocking. plus shovel chin loves fixing his bike, so i'd almost consider it a favor 😂 maybe if he didn't have such a cheap ass bike...

and yes they destroyed rolf's eggplants. but rolf was way more affected by eddy throwing the sea cucumber ball, to the point that he literally challenged him to a duel.

finally, edd is the first person they annoy, and they've done and will do way worse to him. you could definitely argue that he reached a breaking point, and that very well may be. but if that's the case, why didn't he reach that point sooner? 🤔

the obvious difference is that edd is getting all the blame for their bullshit this time. kevin ties his hat in a knot, then threatens to do the same to his legs. plus he'll have to deal with a wrathful note from his father about the screen door being destroyed again.

side note: i really enjoy that as soon as eddy gives in to edd's blubbering - only after he brings up how eddy's scams would be negatively affected if he's relegated to the side show - the dramatics end and edd gleefully skips away. what a brat.

now we're on to the good stuff. i fucking love this part when edd raises a hand to eddy. it's just so absurd. granted, that's after eddy asks if he wants a knuckle sandwich, but still. then there's the classic frame of eddy putting 2 + 2 together.

some folks theorize that edd was taught his manners in a similar fashion and i think that's a pretty logical conclusion to draw. the alternative is that he came up with this sadistic lesson on his own which is kind of worse? regardless of which is true, he's knows that inflicting pain is effective at getting someone to do what you want. i gotta say, those tough-strip bandaids ain't no bitch. and that's coming from someone with a high pain threshold.

another side note, i love eddy's "polite" voice. he sounds like such a tool.

my conclusion: indeed everyone is the asshole in this episode.

i think it's really funny how ed and eddy get back at edd by pretending to be reformed. like i said, at the start of the episode, they're just being kids. kids that destroy everything they come into contact with, but they do that and much worse all the time. edd still chooses to hang out with them. i think edd got pissy that they busted his door and disrespected his groceries, then his pissiness was compounded by the kids wrongly pointing the finger at him. i think he took things too far with the bandaid thing. but he ends the episode by apologizing and learning his lesson. which if i'm not mistaken is one of, if not, the only time that happens with any character in the show.

if i had to rank everyone by asshole-ness it'd be the neighborhood kids at the top, edd in the middle, then tweedledee and tweedledum a hair below him at the bottom.

This one got a little disturbing honestly—

The segment after that one takes place in a huge park at night time, resembling this one area of Central Park I remember me and dad would walk through to leave, except this version was a bunch of hills and a single paved walkway going up and down said hills, with a few trees here and there, and the only thing to light the way were a few sparsely placed lampposts

And me and mom are walking down the walkway, and she randomly just starts BOOKING IT on the near endless walkway, I turn around to see if something scared her and it’s the old man from the first segment, alone, smiling, walking lazily as if he’s drunk (what is with drunk people being disturbances in my dreams—) I start running with her because I’m assuming her running and saying nothing was her attempt to get me running too without trying to scare me, but since this is a dream, I can barely run. so I keep picking up speed and slowing back down saying “I’m tired” or “my legs hurt” (I DONT KNOW WHY YOU DIDNT GRAB MY HAND OR STOP FOR ME THAT WOULDVE BEEN REALLY HELPFUL—)

And then after THAT segment, third and final one: it cuts to me and some other tween to teen girls in what looks like a tree house and it’s nighttime outside (and outside looks like the nighttime park for some reason) and we’re in a Magical Doremi fan club! But the version of Magical Doremi is way different, and we’re talking about some arc in it that basically goes like the story of me and mom in the nighttime park (that’s what I’m calling it now) but features little Doremi and her mom, who for some reason looks like an older version of Doremi’s little sister Pop, and in here apparently Doremi’s mom is named Jelly

But, instead of Jelly running away from the stalker without Doremi holding her hand, Jelly picks up Doremi and books it with her in her hands, kinda holding her like a baby as Doremi is a toddler here

And there’s also this part of the arc having to do with time travel and Doremi going back in time to see someone or something happen, and she finds out that the cancer patient witchling is Doremi’s grandma aka Jelly’s mom, and in this version of Magical Doremi, the cancer patient witchling either didn’t have cancer at all and was just bald, or the cancer was cured through magic, and her name here for some reason is Christian (I love when dreams change around names regardless of whether I can remember the name or not lol)

And then I wake up, for some reason immediately thinking of wanting to reconcile with my mom (I never did—)

GOOD QUESTION!! Unfortunately I have NOT figured out the worldbuilding enough to really answer that:

Things I know:

- There’s necromancy. (So there’s magic or at least alchemy)

- Kyrie (and also Punk) got tech weapons that run at least partially on some kind of magic (but they’re very much like computers? I can’t figure how to phrase it)

- Irt the last bullet point, I think most of the science runs on magic. The difference between the necromancy and the tech is essentially the difference between like. Orgo and regular chem.

- (Ari, the local mad scientist, is not aware of this. They see magic and science as entirely separate and they’re firmly on the science end. The magic likes them tho it follows them around in their fucked up basement lab and keeps them from dying from the shitty ventilation. Can’t bring their mom back but it Likes Them!)

- There’s saints! (there were. At one point. They died.)(I don’t think they do anything anymore but they did big/specific enough things with magic when they were alive that ppl still talk to them)

- That being said I think a lot of the monuments are monuments bc they got a lot of residual saint in them

- Kyrie lives in a monument. (squatting at the top of a big fuckoff tower dedicated to the guy who built the city)

- Also she’s hella superstitious. Girl who both believes in ghosts and is scared of them. Girl who’s kind of in awe of Ari’s whole schtick with the science and the necromancy. Mostly lives in the saint’s tower on account of for legal reasons it’s hard to get her out of there but I think also that’s her special guy she lives in his house.

Okay I think I’m just half asleep and reading this funny but I’m honestly not sure what it’s asking? She generally comes off. Well at first she comes off really really intense about a lot of things and the wanted posters don’t help. But once you actually meet her she comes off as really passionate and gregarious! Laughs really easy and smiles so big it crinkles her whole face and both of those are always really genuine?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc's immediate family? how many people are in your oc's extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

Still figuring out what exactly the deal is there how do these bitches just not have parents BUT! It’s pretty much just her and Alonzo as far back as it goes!

She’s significantly less found-familiable than he is though— top ten guys who are actively pushing ppl away when they try to found family her bc look what happened last time (accidentally is the reason her baby brother is in a hostage situation at her old job). Like she’ll be friendly with his friends (well. His part-time boyfriend and his boss, technically), and let them crash with her when they need to, and she would die for any of them, but they don’t get to do things for her she’s gonna do it all herself so she’s not dragging anyone else with her when she inevitably goes down (not sustainable. so imagine lightning decides to run away to thomasville to try and get help from Smokey or someone else right

and at first Smokey is willing to help him, keeping him safe from doc until he stops trying to find him.

but then doc comes up to Smokey one night. He acts all innocent, telling Smokey how lightning hurt him and how ungrateful he was, placing him as the abuser. Of course Smokey doesn’t believe it at first, but then doc shows him “proof.”

he cut himself the night before, using that as “evidence” that lightning had hurt doc, and that sells Smokey into taking lightning back to him.

Smokey would tell lightning that they were going on a stroll, far away from thomasville. As soon as they reach their location, Lightning starts squirming and tries to run away. Smokey holds his wrist, tightly, threateningly holding him down and tightening his grip on his shoulders.

lightning kept on struggling however, whimpering and crying to Smokey to let him go, but he wouldn’t listen. Like everyone else, even Smokey himself fell for docs tricks.

and so doc takes lightning away, while the young racer thinks about the possibilities of his punishment

I don’t know I feel like there was more but the werewolf is trying not to traumatize John or the audience which I can respect.

I like to think that The Werewolf said that basing off of the knife memory and John's reaction to it -- which was very understandable as it was very explicit (the other half of it that wasn't shown to us/the audience). Even then, he still gives plenty of chances for John (and to some extension us/the audience) to bail out. He's mindful, I'll give him that.

The file name I gave John during the conversation was "go king, give us nothing.blend”. Not us having the same damn braincell.

It’s good to see that the werewolf was able to make a door in the first place! It shows a lot of how far he’s come and that he can do that at least. The handle can come much later when he’s ready to open it or close it since he should be taking baby steps. There is no need to rush all of this and the werewolf should focus on what it means to him making that handle happen. Like is he ready to open it to relive what happen, to truly expose himself or does he want to leave it close and ignore that part of himself. Both of them are okay to do because as humans we need time to open or close a door, no matter how fast we want to do that there’s no point in stumbling out or in something.

Yes! He's able to make doors but his main issue is keeping it there or if it is there, the knob's not working. That door in the memory was summoned out of survival and he thought of the most simplest type (which means that he's seen it at least once. 🤔). The knob was more or less that John still had overall control of it which is why he opened it.

There's a few more things that are door-involved though... but you're right. There's a reason why you can open/close them. 👀

“First the hospital bed surrounded by flowers, and now the exam table (?)… what’s with that?” Simpler times? A way to make the whole thing look rather peaceful then the living hell the werewolf and John went through. It could mean a lot of things from daydreaming of being in a better place with his lover, and having his hair played with by said lover. There is a lot of meaning behind the flowers and the exam table. Exam table could mean a lot of things such as…. self-criticism, a need for healing, feeling so exposed but against your will.

And what’s up with John…? Does he remember more than he lets on? Or is he hiding under the guise of medicinal amnesia? It’s like he could be in denial or something. I feel like John remembers bits and pieces. The reason why I believe this is because some people that tend to go through intense trauma will forget some things or believe other things happen, which isn’t a bad thing it’s your brains way of trying to protect you from what happened…..

This might be random or sort of funny, but when the Silent Hill PT demo came out a long time ago, I watched it and I talked about it with my friend but I completely forgot about the talking fetus baby in it. My brain completely blocked that part out for no reason at all, I guess I was scare and didn’t know at the time. Series 4 Episode 6: The Doctor's Daughter

The Doctor has a DAUGHTER?? WHAT?? Yooo we’ve gotta talk about this.

So yea new character introduced, Jenny, and she’s actually pretty cool. She’s a spunky, more athletic version of The Doctor who’s so new to the world, and having her learn from The Doctor and change as the episode goes on is lovely to see. The journey from soldier to pacifism is great to watch and it makes the ending of the episode so much more tragic.

This episode is centred around two warring factions, the humans and the hath, fighting it out to be the first people to reach the “breath of life”. This war has gone on for generations, but it is revealed that it’s only been going for a week. It’s just that so many clones have died/been born that the people have forgotten why they were fighting in the first place. It became war for the sake of war. At the end of the episode, General Cobb, leader of the humans, is so angry at The Doctor for proving his beliefs wrong, and ending the war, that he goes to shoot him, only for his bullet to be blocked by Jenny. This leads to one of the most iconic Dr Who speeches (in my opinion) where The Doctor aims the gun at Cobb, and then throws it away, proclaiming that these two races “make the foundation of this society a man who never would”. It’s a banger scene and might be part of the reason I’m such a staunch pacifist myself 🤔, but during this we see this familiarity, this happiness glow up inside The Doctor throughout the episode as he becomes a father to Jenny, and to have that all dashed away ooo that’s some good Doctor Who.

However there are some slight issues in this episode I do want to point out. Martha is, ONCE AGAIN, mistreated in this episode (god I feel like I keep blowing the same damn horn here). This time instead of being just a damsel in distress, she gets to sit around with the hath, walk across the surface of the planet, lose her hath friend, and then joins back up with the party like nothing happened. All whilst The Doc/Donna/Jenny are having an amazing adventure. Her actions genuinely had 0 impact on the plot and it feels she was only in this story to give a perspective to the hath side of things and show how similar they are. Which whilst is better than nothing, is still something I’m not a huge fan of. Characters shouldn’t be plot functions, they should be characters (tho she does get to do some doctor-y stuff on her end).

Also some people really hate the ending of this episode, where Jenny uses time lord energy to survive the gunshot and run away into the stars. I kind of love it? Yea it *is* kinda wish fulfilment and potential that was never followed up on (seriously how has Jenny never shown up again??),  but time lord energy is a good enough way for her to survive and the idea of her being able to see the stars just as she wanted to with her Dad is a wholesome lil cherry on top of this episode.

TL:DR/Overview: Whilst The Doctor’s Daughter can be a bit blunt with its pacifist messaging, and once again shows how badly the writers handle Martha, the highs are just so high. The Doctor’s scene about revenge and pacifism, Jenny’s development across the episode, and the wholesome ending that (not to this episode’s fault) was never capitalised on. I’m placing it in A tier.

Sneaky guy. Jack was so good at sneaking around, slipstreaming behind bad guys and taking them out quickly with just whatever crude weaponry he had at his disposal... maybe even just his hands heck. 🤔 What this means in day-to-day life is that he walks so quietly around the hub, just very used to disguising his footfalls out of habit, always takes corners cautiously and is very aware of his surroundings... which means he also accidentally scares the living daylights out of the team probably several times a day. 

Piggybacking off of that, once he gets his shocksuit, he absolutely abuses its cloaking feature and will not hesitate to go Solid Snake mode whenever he feels like it. TOTALLY cheats at hide and seek. Snowball fights are a nightmare with this man. You want Jack on your team and no he ain’t ever gonna change because he’s old and set in his ways and he WILL cheat at EVERY single game. He thinks its hilarious.

Sometimes Jack’s feeling extra froggy and decides to play a lil jokester prank on someone but gives himself away before he can scare them. Yeah, sometimes you just gotta terrorize these kids lmaooo

Yes he also cheats at cards yes he is SO good at it. Jack’s sleight of hand is so good, you’ll probably miss it unless you know what to look for. He’s so quietly smug about it, too. He wins by such a landslide, it can drive a person crazy. His poker face will break if you start throwing a tantrum and he’ll probably start laughing his ass off. Go ahead and reach for the nearest lamp at that point and beat him senseless with it-

Talks with his hands, he is actually a pretty animated guy. Especially when he’s excited. The way Jack talks and moves, you kind of get sucked right into the conversation and you might feel invested for no other reason, he’s just got that vibe and that old school charisma. Likes to spin stories and stuff. Jack tends to wear his heart on his sleeve but he doesn’t mean to. (He probably had a dad who told him boys can’t cry/be emotional/etc let’s be real. 😔 oops sorry these are supposed to be fun headcanons-)

Jack always carries a grease rag on him, stuffed into his back jeans pocket, but he also forgets its there way too often and will subconsciously resort to wiping his hands on his jeans or pristine white shocksuit. Dirtiest mf on the team [REAL]

Goes to Zeke’s diner for several reasons: to hang out with Zeke (they are buddies), to read the newspaper “in peace” (in quotes because you know Zeke is yacking his ear off the entire time), and to order a black coffee and the breakfast platter and then finish it off with some kind of dessert. The rituals are SO intricate. Simon starts tagging along with him on these morning missions and always promises to behave but man you know how it is with Simon 🥰

Jack was the kind of dad who argued with the umpire 💀 I just know it

Reveling in Richonne

#147: The Royal Baby (9x06)

Y’all, we were Blessed!! With a capital B for baby. So lemme get the happy dance of all happy dances going for this moment right here. 

Like I said, 9x06 was something I was anxious/curious about cuz it was the first episode in the post-Rick era of this show. But what’s awesome is this new era of TWD is not totally post-Rick. 

See this show kept advertising (too much imo 🤔) that it would be Rick Grimes final episode in 9x05...but uh that’s not entirely true, cuz in 9x06 we get a new adorable little Rick Grimes and I am here for it to infinity and beyond. 🥳🙌🏽

So Michonne’s skepticism of Magna is proven to be justified when Magna straight up sneaks over to Michonne’s house in the middle of the night with a knife. 😒 That’s exactly the things Michonne was trying to avoid. And showing up to someone’s house with a weapon...that sounds like a threat to me. Sis has every reason to not trust them at this point. 

But Magna refrains from attacking Michonne in the quiet of her home because she sees something. She sees the most amazing something, y’all...

RJ!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

The Richonne royal baby lives! 🙌🏽😭

We were turning up in my house when RJ was revealed. Like the second we saw little RJ run in we were like...

It is so amazing that now there is a little person in this TWD world who is the embodiment of Richonne’s love. And this little king is bound to be special because he’s part Rick and part Michonne. 💯 

I am so extremely happy that Angela allowed Rick and Michonne to have a kid and that their legacy lives on in both Judith and RJ. 😊🥳 

And again, how resilient is Michonne that shortly after Rick’s “death” she learned she was pregnant and had to keep on keeping on. It’s hard to know that this investment towards the future that R&M both wanted is now happening and Rick’s not there to witness it. 😢 And yet Michonne clearly pushed through and got through the pregnancy even after enduring one of the most traumatic experiences this show has ever had. Resilient to the highest degree. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 

So I just adore this RJ moment. He was on the screen for one second and I was already like, that’s my nephew and I love him. Y’all, he’s all of our relative, cuz...

Ok so I gotta give the play by play of this quick moment, now that I’ve gushed over just the initial confirmation of RJ’s existence. 

It’s sweet seeing Michonne all comfortable in her robe at home as she puts the dishes away in the kitchen. You just know this is a mom cleaning up after dinner with her kids. 

And then we see a precious little boy in pjs run into her arms. Glory. Glory. Halleluah. The royal baby has arrived.😋🤗

Couldn’t help myself, the happy dances just happen lol. Also, when Michonne said “RJ!” my extra self was like...

As I said before, Rick and Michonne have that real love. That “you ain’t gotta wonder whether that’s your kid” love.😋

So Michonne picks her son up and hugs him and it’s the first time this episode where we hear her just sounding unabashedly happy. She asks him what he’s doing awake and he says, “Mommy I’m tired.” 

The visual of Michonne with her and Rick’s son right here is just everything. 😭 Like when I tell you we rejoiced. It was awesome and it melts my heart.

I love now seeing any gif or clip of pre-canon scenes with Rick and Michonne and being like these two now have a blood relative between them. Like these two now have a human out there that is made up of them. 🤭 Won’t He Do it!

And I love that Rick and Michonne had a son, after having both experienced the painful losses of sons. Things break but they can still grow. And this family has beautifully grown. 

The addition of RJ to the Grimes Family is so special and significant. He really feels like the beacon of hope for this family and their world going forward. He’s Richonne personified now and will forever represent the love Rick and Michonne shared. 

RJ Grimes is Rick’s living breathing son and carries on his DNA. He’s Carl’s brother. 😭 And Andre’s brother. 😭  He’s Judith’s brother, who she gets to look after as a big sister the way Carl did as a big brother. He’s two parts of the best survivors this show has seen.To put it simply, he’s royalty. 

And then Magna sees Michonne in this new light as a mother who just wants to keep her kids safe so she knocks on Michonne’s door and hands her the weapon.

As they talk Michonne says, “We’ve all done things. It isn’t always that easy to live with.” And Magna says, “it’s better than losing everything.” Which I think really speaks to why Michonne did what she did in 9x14.

So then Michonne closes the door and she turns around to find Judith looking all cute in her PJs while simultaneously holding Rick’s huge gun. Quite the sight. 😋 

I love that Judith was ready to post up on whoever was trying to come to their house. She had her mom’s back, y’all. 👏🏽And Michonne sounds like such a mom when she sees her and says “Judith Grimes.” ☺️

Judith says, “You said dad would’ve wanted me to have it. To protect myself and the people I love.” Just like Rick and Michonne, Judith is ready at any moment to protect her family. And I love that Michonne has passed on to Judith, Rick’s mindset that you protect the people you love. 

Michonne says, “Yeah he would’ve, but I’m the one who’s supposed to be protecting you.” Michonne has committed so fully to being Judith’s mom, since seasons ago and I appreciate that ever since she made that commitment she has made it her top priority to protect this little girl from so much. 

Judith asks if that’s the reason Michonne’s kicking these people out, and I’m like it’s that plus the fact that the Magna chick seems to have weapons on weapons on weapons on her. 

Judith then says, “I think dad would’ve wanted me to do what I did yesterday too.” 

And Michonne smiles and says, “He would’ve been proud. Your brother, too.” Danai does such a good job of conveying that, for Michonne, bringing up Rick and Carl is something that simultaneously brings her a lot of happiness and sadness. 

And Judith asks, “Then why won’t you help them.” Michonne looks up at her and says “You’ll understand someday.” But now knowing Judith remembers the craziness from when she was younger I was like niece, you know why lol. 😅

Judith walks down the steps and tells Michonne, “I know you talk to him sometimes.” 

And as she places the sheriff figurine on one of the panels she says,”To Carl too.” It’s emotional to hear Judith make reference to Rick and Carl and also know that her mom still talks to them. 

And this reminds me of the scene in “Clear” when Michonne connected with Rick by letting him know she knows he sees things and it happens. 

In that “Clear” moment, Michonne was able to let Rick know he’s not alone and offer some warmth and comfort. And now seasons later, Judith is letting Michonne know she sees and knows that side of her mom too. 

And then the dagger is when she says, “I’m starting to forget their voices.” And you can see that this breaks Michonne’s whole heart inside. Me too. 🥺

And then Judith continues, saying, “I’m not trying to but they keep fading away. I hope you can still hear them.” Y’all…shattered.💔

Judith lost Rick and Carl at an age where it would be really hard to retain her own memories of them so it’s devastating knowing that what little memory she does have of them is fading. The good thing is Michonne is the type to keep their memory and presence alive so that Judith can always feel close to them. 

And there’s something so meaningful and sweet about Judith hoping that at least her mom can still hear them even if she can’t. She wants her mom to find comfort in it. Again, similar to “Clear” she doesn’t make her mom feel crazy for hearing them, if anything she sees it as a way for her mom to stay connected to them. It’s not strange to Judith, just like Rick seeing things wasn’t strange to Michonne. Instead, it’s something Judith hopes Michonne will hold onto and remember. 

Michonne’s eyes fill with tears at how heartbreaking that was but before she can really break down, Prince RJ comes running and says he’s hungry now. 

And then we see the cute young king run into Michonne’s arms again and she holds him close and again, it’s utterly precious. 😊 

I absolutely love this. The way she embraces him, you know these kids are her world. And it’s so sweet because we now know Michonne has so much more than just rings, and figurines, and inanimate objects to remember Rick by, she has their son to remind her that Rick lives on and is still very much apart of them.

Also the way RJ running into Michonne’s arms both in this scene and earlier in the kitchen parallel when her little Andre did the same. 😭😭 It’s beyond moving.

And then as she holds RJ close to her with much on her mind, she looks down at the sheriff figurine Judith left on the steps, and it really does feel like even though Rick’s not here, his presence is still here in this house with his family. 

I don’t know where the heck they’ll claim Rick was that he’d be gone for six whole years but I know wherever he is, he would give anything to be at home with them in a moment like this.

This little boy in Michonne’s arms was Rick’s vision for the two of them. And I can’t wait until he gets to see that their vision for building towards the future came true. (That first Rick and RJ moment is surely going to send me out of this galaxy if/when that time comes in the movies) 

So then, because this show ain’t never done breaking my heart, we cut to another emotional scene.

Michonne sits alone in her room and she takes off her robe to reveal a giant x scar on her back. Y’all, the second I saw that I was like who dared do this to my sister Michonne cuz...

Michonne then goes to a drawer and takes out one of Rick’s most signature articles of clothing; his blue denim shirt. The one he wore the morning after Richonne became canon, the one he wore for the kiss of life and in 7x12, and the one he wore when he found her at the end of 7x16. It’s a special piece of clothing is what I’m saying. 😋 

And Michonne knows it too, cuz she proceeds to hold it close to her with a sad smile. 

And then she puts it on and wraps herself in it. 😭 I adore this heartfelt moment for showing that Michonne still finds multiple ways to feel close to Rick. And it just reiterates how much he means to her that just his shirt can bring her comfort. 

I also feel this gives her the strength she needs to keep going and know she’s not alone. This shirt is this reminder that Rick was here, and he is here, because he’s still so alive in her heart.

And y’all, this is six years later. Even with the longer amount of time that has passed, she still is so in love with him and so connected to him. That’s called soul mates. And again; Richonne. Doesn’t. Die. Here for it always. 

Before Magna’s group leaves, Michonne rides up on her horse looking beautiful in Rick’s shirt and says there’s a change of plans. 

As much as Michonne only wanted to lead alongside Rick, she has stepped up to the plate and decided to lead as best she can without him there, again honoring his hope for her. But seeing her here in this shirt makes it feel like she’s not entirely without him. And from what we heard when Judith listened to her talking to Rick in that room she clearly has been inspired by the way Rick did things and I feel like, even if it’s only subconsciously, this shirt just helps her continue to follow his example. 

So then Michonne tosses the figurine to her daughter which I adore cuz it’s like her little peace offering and also this symbolic moment of passing more of Rick down to her. 

Michonne then lets everyone know these new guys might be able to find safe haven at Hilltop. And as they bid goodbye, the moment with Connie and Judith doing sign language is so cute. 😊

And it’s sweet that even before her own feelings, Michonne is willing to take this leap for her daughter. I love it. And then Michonne and Judith share the sweetest smile and all I know is this is the mother daughter content that I signed up for! 🥰 These ladies are everything. 

In the first half of this series we watched as the Grimes boys, Rick and Carl, navigated this world and now we watch as the Grimes Girls, Michonne and Judith, do the same. 

And they are some amazing and powerful girls, who also love and protect the angel RJ, so you know I’m here for it all. Y’all, with Richonne and the Grimes Family they just keep getting Better. And that’s “Better” with a capital B for baby cuz again...the royal baby lives!!!👏🏽👑😊

I have wings

I don’t have roots right now

Anywhere. To anyone. The person I want to be with lives here and ill never be with him. I haven’t had a solid place that feels like home in 2 years (which is fine for right now). I’ve been going from one place to the other since I went to western. After I graduated HS was like a huge transition point in my life and I knew that. I had no idea that this would be where I’m at at 20, but here I am. There’s no reason for me to be here anymore. My parents don’t even live in Louisville anymore. You’re leaving. I haven’t fully lived here in 2 years. I know it might seem petty or whatever, but I honestly think my main motivation to get out, or why I’m so antsy to leave is because of brandon. It is sooooooooo bad for me to be in such close proximity to someone who I love but can never have. It’s too easily accessible. And the thing is that he wants me to flourish just as much as I want it, but I literally can’t do it with him so close, because I can’t control myself. It’s almost like I need to go to rehab and physically distance myself (escape) from the thing that holds me back from life. I can talk to B about life and dreams and goals and he can do the same with me but when it comes to anything more than that, it’s just so destructive. We love each other enough that I think we will always be in each other’s life to a small capacity, but there needs to be a safe distance. We can share in each other’s happiness and grow without having sex and seeing each other every week. But sadly I don’t think I can ever do that living 20 minutes away from him. It’s sad but it’s the fucking truth. I mean shit Alexis moved to fucking France 🤔. Probably for the same reason lol. There’s nothing but signs and reasons telling me to GO right now. NOTHING is telling me to stay. Whatever way you fucking slice it, I need to leave. Not to mention chase is fucking leaving to pursue his dreams too.

It’s not running from my problems, it’s starting fresh. It’s getting away from everything that has damaged me; made me grow, and made me the person I am, but done some damage in the process.

I gotta FIND myself man. I gotta get out and get growing and I gotta do it alone.
