What does Raph have to deal with with his new Kraang abilities post being free from their control?

There's a LOT I'm planning to dive into and explore with his kraang side, don't worry.

I have quite a few comic ideas focused around Raph's new abilities and limitations. There's one idea in particular that I'm especially excited to work on when the time comes, (though that might be because it involves a lot of traumas and things with all four brothers. . .)

But hopefully this little concept page in my sketchbook that I totally didn't stay up until 2am in the morning to make will satisfy you for the moment :)

The consequence of coming up with a full backstory for Sukuna for With the Storm is that I think about it too often. Little things remind me of it and I am compelled to talk about it; alas, it'll be, like, 20 chapters until fully get into it lmao.

/nm and not directed at you (as u said u were looking to check for misinfo), but i dont understand why dream fans are still keeping up with or watching tommys podcasts (to look for dream neg). if they know that whatever they see on them is just going to include dream neg which'll upset them then there's no use in looking at it bc at that point it's just negatively affecting your mental health. tbh you can absolutely direct part of this at me bc i am in fact keeping it alive and fielding discussion loool, though im neverrr going to actively keep up with what they do and check everything they post and if i ever do someone needs to take me out back and shoot me

but! i do have a thought about some twitter users in particular and its that i think some of them are weirdly obsessed with dream being a victim or mistreated. now some people just always wanna chip in on conversations, especially if they perceive something as being morally wrong, which is understandable though ultimately unhelpful, but now for the other people... they CONSTANTLY field conversation through their ngls about sensitive topics of dream being treated badly and it is frankly disturbing to me that they want to keep talking about it.

i dont live in their brain and know why they want to keep talking about it, but if i had to guess its because it makes them feel better about their own morality because 'oh look at me, im defending and standing up for this poor victim whos been mistreated by everyone!!' and okay being angry that someone was mistreated is completely understandable and wanting people to realize they were the one hurt is understandable, but it just gets to a point where its fucking weird. like why is this all you fucking talk about, why do you want to bring up over and over again that this guy was treated horribly.

but at least for me personally, ranting about this kind of thing does make me feel better haha, though i know for a lot of people it makes them feel worse. i think the people actively seeking it out though are just annoying and want to complain about something or bc they constantly need to feel validated in their hatred for those guys :p

Loooool okay I know I said I wouldn't talk about this topic anymore, but a WT mention was just about the only thing that had the ability to make me break that promise. Because that is really the icing on the shit cake that WT has been recently. To be fair though, that album is released by the big-ass pop label Universal, so they are probably the ones monitoring torrents and trying to get people in trouble. I really doubt that that's a decision the band made. But, if you sign to Universal, you might as well sign to Disney tbh, so that says something too. It's the very corporate option.

But anyway, their newer singles are all about Justice(TM) and Good(TM), for example they suddenly started caring about Iran when it was trendy for a few months, and they also made a video about sexual assault. Because, you see, they care. Except when it saves them money not to, as Sharon pointed out pretty explicitly in an interview. I quote at length:

So to sum up: The situation is soooo confusing but also, you have to understand, the band really fucking likes money, and if they gave that money to an animation team they'd have less of it. So what's a tiny band with a mere 2 million monthly Spotify listeners, some impoverished recent labelmates of Taylor Swift, to do? Plus, AI also gets used for good things in hospitals, so that's exactly the same thing and no one would criticize it, right?

But yeah, they still really, really care about justice. At least when it makes them money.

I guess I can post this now... this is the video to the new Therion single, out 2 days ago. As you can see even from looking at the preview picture, it's AI generated, by Stable Diffusion to be precise.

So, the latest one in the sad parade* of "bands I like that have no problem with screwing over visual artists to save a few bucks and have their heads in the sand about how it might impact them to legitimize this way of making content"? Thankfully no. Christofer wrote a very long text about his opinions on AI yesterday, which are generally very critical of how the technology is used. The video above was apparently made without his input, he hadn't specified that he wanted AI and was in fact a little shocked when he got the video and didn't want to use it. But it was also too late to order another video, so he figured he'd take it to avoid not having a video at all, and also use it to start a discussion. There had apparently been some AI stuff in the "Twilight of the Gods" video too at first, but he had made them take it out.

Being made with Stable Diffusion, the video of course uses stolen art. The bot is also doing its best as a "bias automation machine", as the meme goes, by accompanying a song about Turkish mythology with imagery of Arabs, Arabic stuff, and deserts, an inaccuracy that was apparently lost on the production team behind the video, but very much not lost on Turks on YT.

Anyway, Christofer would, based on his text, like it if people thought about the future of the arts for 0.05 seconds before jumping head first into AI, and also thinks we need to "strengthen the cult around real art" to keep human-made creations alive. And complain a lot, of course. Under videos like the one above.

\* Those are by no means the only bands that come to mind, but they are the biggest ones that I am in some way interested in and that I have seen use AI openly. A couple of smaller bands I like did the same, but I don't wanna hate on them on my blog since they're basically just some random people with a hobby, not public figures. I did try to be more understanding towards them, but I don't know if I really succeeded at that.

Hello. I'm very curious if you know how long the boys were in this hospital where they were abused. And what happened to their parents before they got there. It seems to me that our boys were not so evil and cruel for a very long time, but then they became so because in childhood people treated them cruelly. Because in fact all children are born good....

Oh those boys were nasty little fucks as children So the three boys were 8,9 and 10 when brought into the Sanitorium, they were found eating the corpses of a couple called the Hillikers. Hence where they got their name, mistaken to be the boys parents when they were just their victim. My assumption is they were the ones who killed that couple, being as they were found alone with them. So they've been brutal little shits for a long time, their parents are Maynard and Delilah (spouse/siblings/cousins not entirely explained but heavily hinted they're related) I'm just going to assume that the two had a habit in letting their kids go wherever they wanted, Ma and Pa allow their two to just go off without a care so it's no surprise it'd be the same when they were kids, but the three boys simply just got snatched up. Delilah eventually passes away and Maynard may have gone looking, gave up and then when news of missing people rock up goes looking again. They were definitely evil bastards before, during and after being taken to the sanitorium, though they were also tortured and treated poorly which only fuels their plotting. Also will quickly add, it's not really said how long they were in there before they got out, but I'd say a few months. Sure, babies are born without bias or anything on their minds, the three boys were taught to be cruel and menacing, honing their skills in killing all thanks to their parents. No matter what they would have always been killers had they been taken to the sanitorium or not.
