I love how in Batman vs TMNT, the turtles all have their initials on their belts, and all of them are uppercase except for Raphael’s

There’s L, M, D, and then Raph’s is just “r” LMAO

I like to imagine that he did that on purpose just for spite bc it’s a hilarious little detail that I note while watching this

I've got an idea as to who to give BvsTMNT! Mikey!!

Ok so, in the little spider family there's: Peter, Miles, Ben and Kaine.

(616) Peter has IDW Mikey

Miles has Rise Mikey

And Ben has 07! Mikey.

Kaine is the only one without. So, why not give him the last remaining Mikey? (Looking through his wiki, his unique feature is a tattoo on his left arm, which I think is cool)

Also, while searching for this, I found out that Ben Reily is also in the 2012 show, so there's that.

Mikey was, honest to god, terrified. When that mutant had hit his brothers with a bright yellow beam, He thought they would turn out perfectly fine. They had gotten home, cleaned themselves up, and got the lair ready for their father to arrive home later that week when things started changing. It started with Raph asking for a glass of milk. It was strange that he wanted milk, but it was weirder that he was asking someone else to do it for him. Raph had always been extremely independent, cursing out anyone who tried to “baby” him. 

Then it was Donnie. The genius had always taken pride in his work, using formulas and equations with the ease of only pure talent. It was a real red flag when the teen had come up to Mikey of all people, asking for help. Last was Leo, who was the most obvious.

Regarding that Batman Vs. TMNT fic I was contemplating...

I may or may not have come up with a rudimentary plot idea, though it pretty much revolves around Don and Barbara (platonic stuff... he's just sixteen in the BvsTMNT universe and I don't know how old she is) taking on a baddie from the DCAU.

None of the misinformation is helped by the fact that DC loves to give traits from one Robin (usually Tim) to another. From something as little as his signature bo staff (Dick always gets it, Damian got it in BvsTMNT), or his whole costume and/origin (again, Dick). Or they give Tim bits from the other Robins, like the Timmverse. DC refuses to keep their Robins straight for five minutes.

I never really got when people call Tim a self-insert either. It’s really nit-picky, but they just don’t use the word right. A self-insert is when the writer put themselves in the story (which is what Tec Comics Rebirth Tim is. Tynion was a change of words away from admitting it). Tim’s just made to be relatable much like Peter Parker. He may not have a very loud personality, but he still has one when you pay attention. He’s just a meek person.

But Tim having so much of the defining Robin stuff reeeeeeeally doesn’t help Tim either. Because he has the look, the weapon, and more of the personality most people think of in a modern Robin. So while he seems generic at first perhaps, he was actually very standout and defining.

I remember when they gave Tim a hood again in Y.J.A season 3, people got mad at Tim (legitimately as if he was a real person) for “stealing” from Damian, but like-- literally almost every modern adaptation of any Robin has something from Tim. That makes no sense. It’s just annoying work from the people in-charge of what ever thing it is.

I’m also not a fan of when people say Tim’s sexist-- cause like, he has only said one sexist joke that I have ever been shown, and even in-context may not even had been meant to be a woman joke. As well as Tim being mean to Steph is not sexism. That is not how sexism works. That’s Tim being immature, and not liking a more reckless person nearby. Gender is literally completely irrelevant in that, as Tim has spoken the same way to Bart and Conner. Tim also had a liberal mother, and outwardly spoke like he was oblivious why Helena being a woman would have anything to do with her skills. He’s not supposed to be sexist at all, it’s just a writer leaking through thing.

There’s just a loooooooot of things about Tim that I’ll see every now and again and I just think “Huh? What?”, because I just do not get where it comes from. I think sometimes it’s just accepting things that are said and trying to “compromise” or slightly accepting it without thinking much more than that.

I’ve even seen people call Tim racist for saying something along the lines of “But what about his biology” in regards to Damian, but Damian LITERALLY had his biology messed with to make him a perfect warrior. Hence why Damian was so good at everything and was very tall (despite the short jokes, because those aren’t actually in-character. They just randomly did that). There’s important context to things they like to take away when it comes to Tim. It’s very weird.

In the past there’s been points where I’m like “Am I just lying to myself about Tim?” but then I’d read again, and everything I thought is there on the page, or in a context. I’m very confident about what I feel about Tim, because I’ve made so many posts where I source stuff from panels, explain contexts that required me to go back and reread and research things. I’ve put a lot of work into knowing all I can about Tim.

So these little things just stick out to me more.
