Has Tim ever put Dick on a pedestal?

100% yes! This is basically Tim's backstory IMO. Prior to meeting Dick in Lonely Place of Dying, Tim's a kid who's got a distant, idealized, made-for-TV vision of Dick and Bruce - mostly Dick - and he sets out on a quest based entirely around that misperception.

Aaaand then he immediately crashes headfirst into reality, because the Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne he remembers from his childhood memories and daydreams are like this:

But it turns out that the actual real-life human people are a bit more, uh, cranky than Tim's glossy vision - things are tense and neither of them are super-happy to meet Tim:

And Tim has to rethink a bunch of his mistaken deductions as it slowly dawns on him that - far from being a plucky team - Dick and Bruce are actually not getting along at all:

And so Tim has to realize his whole plan of "Dick has to be Robin again!!! That will fix everything!!! :)))))" was actually wrong, and based on a misunderstanding of Bruce and Dick's relationship. And having realized he was wrong, he immediately sets about trying to figure out what he’s failed to understand in the most intrusive way possible—by asking lots of nosy questions!

Actually-meeting-Dick is basically the end of Tim’s super-idealized vision of Dick. It's not a vision that can survive contact with an actual human being who's snapping at you. And kid!Tim is (I love him but) extremely pushy and annoying, and Dick's a prickly young adult who is not above getting annoyed, which means Dick snaps at him pretty regularly.

But Tim does continue to admire him.

So for their various interactions after Lonely Place of Dying, IMO "does Tim have Dick on a pedestal" is kind of a judgment call based on your assessment of Dick's relative strengths/virtues. What's unambiguous: Tim has a consistently higher opinion of Dick than Dick does of Dick, and they argue about it a lot.

I had way too many thoughts about this, so below the cut:

Comics where Dick and Tim have conversations along the lines of Dick: "I suck and I'm failing at everything." Tim: "That's not true!! Actually you're great and you're succeeding at the thing you think you're failing at!!"

So who's right - Dick or Tim?

Comic examples

Here are a couple different variations on Tim thinking that Dick is great (often when Dick's less sure):

in Showcase, Tim thinks that Dick’s a way better teammate than Azrael, even as Dick’s thinking himself as a failure who let the Titans down;

in Prodigal, Dick tells Tim a story about confronting Two-Face which to Dick symbolizes a moment of great failure and which Tim insists was a no-win situation where Dick did the best he could;

also in Prodigal, Dick’s despairing over how badly he thinks their encounter with Killer Croc went and meanwhile Tim thinks it went fine (after all, Dick listened to him and called an ambulance instead of beating up Croc!), and Tim tells Dick to lighten up and Dick talks about how he’s a failure;

in Nightwing 6, Dick thinks he’s doing badly in Blüdhaven and he’s self-conscious about it and paranoid about what Tim might tell Bruce, and Tim insists that the fact that Dick’s being targeted means he’s succeeding and getting close instead of failing, and Dick retorts that this won’t be comforting if he winds up dead because getting close just isn’t good enough;

also in Nightwing 6, Tim thinks Dick was a better Robin than Tim is, and Dick thinks he wasn’t that great and that Tim’s better;

post-Last Laugh, Tim’s insistent that Dick's being too hard on himself about attacking the Joker whereas Dick's really haunted by the experience and confides that it feels like he's discovered a terrible dark side of himself;

way later in Nightwing 110, Tim’s seeking Dick out and Dick’s trying to avoid him because he thinks he’s a bad person who’d be bad for Tim;

in BW: Murderer, Tim doesn’t trust Bruce absolutely, but in Red Robin, he does trust Dick absolutely (or at least, more than Tim trusts himself);

etc. etc. etc.

Who's right: Dick or Tim?

So, is Tim being too easy on Dick and looking at him with rose-colored glasses, and Dick’s harsher view of himself is the correct one; or is Dick a perfectionist who’s being too hard on himself, and Tim’s the one who’s actually seeing Dick’s strengths more clearly?

I don’t think the comics really commit one way or another! These are moments of multiple-perspectives, where we notice that Tim has one attitude and Dick has another attitude and that tells us things about the characters, not moments that are meant to resolve to a simplistic “one person is Right and one person is Wrong.” I think often you could argue that they're both right? So, like, if you wanted to take the approach of, "Tim's idolizing him but he's not actually as great as Tim thinks," I don't think the comics precisely contradict that interpretation.

... THAT SAID, look, I am a Dick Grayson fan at heart, and I tend to lean toward “Dick’s being too hard on himself.”

Tim’s not oblivious to Dick’s flaws—he immediately figures out, for example, that Dick’s gonna attack the Joker, and rushes off to stop him; he just isn’t as judgmental about this moment as Dick is, and he doesn’t think it makes Dick an awful person forever. The point is (Tim says later, practical-minded) that it was made right, and Dick shouldn’t beat himself up about it. In Prodigal, Tim’s not unaware that their fight with Croc went badly; he’s just focused on how Dick’s morals and teamwork-centric attitude feel right to him in a way that Azrael’s didn’t, and look, Tim didn’t get shot even though he got shot at, and isn’t that the important thing? Tim gets caught in the same ambush that Dick does in Nightwing 6; he just takes the glass-half-full attitude toward it while Dick takes the glass-half-empty attitude. And so on.

Tim admires Dick, looks up to him, trusts him, interprets his flaws generously, and doesn’t think he’s a failure. And... this isn't quite in the comics, but it doesn't contradict them: I like to imagine Dick feeling like he's on a pedestal, and feeling kinda uncomfortable with Tim's admiration when he's forced to realize it exists, and feeling like he doesn't deserve it, and sometimes subconsciously braced for the other shoe to drop, convinced that Tim can't possibly really think this forever, that he's deluded somehow, and that eventually Tim will realize who Dick really is and get disillusioned and leave.

And I tend to think of Dick having this problem a bit with everyone in his life who thinks highly of him, but especially with Tim, because he doesn't feel like Tim's ever needed him or that he's done anything worth Tim's admiration. I feel like Dick - despite some insecurities - does know his own worth as a team leader, and he knows he was a good partner to Bruce, and he understands when he's helping people who are clearly floundering, like Damian and Rose. But all he's ever done for Tim is...hang out, and be nice. And he doesn't think Tim ever needed fixing or saving, and he vastly underestimates both the value of his own friendship in general and how much it's meant to Tim in particular. Not all the time, because later in their relationship when they've known each other for years I do think Dick does feel a bit more secure in that friendship and entitled to make demands based on it (and vice versa, for Tim). But I do imagine Dick periodically feeling like Tim lets him off the hook too easily, and thinks more highly of him than he should, and alternating between being grateful for it and uncomfortable with it.

But I would argue that Dick does deserve Tim’s admiration!

Look, Dick's not a perfect person - no one is. He does screw up sometimes, and sometimes he's petty or jealous, and sometimes his temper gets the better of him. But he is pretty great! He's brave and thoughtful and kind and generous and caring. He takes his own grief and his own suffering and devotes himself to helping other people. And Tim sees that. Tim watches an orphaned kid crying on stage, and has nightmares about it - and later recognizes the hero in him. Tim stops Dick from beating the Joker to death, and he holds Dick back from strangling Hugo Strange, and he talks Dick down from two separate panic attacks, and he listens to Dick monologue about his various perceived failures, and he gets yelled at a lot when Dick's annoyed with him, and his takeaway from all of that is that he believes in Dick, and trusts Dick, and thinks he's a hero.

You could see that as Tim having him on a pedestal and refusing to acknowledge the ugly reality. But I tend to see it as Tim understanding that Dick's flaws and occasional missteps don't define who he is - the fact that Dick's human doesn't make him any less of a hero. Tim can see the hero that Dick can't always see in himself.

Dick and Tim have really high opinions of each other... for better or worse

Tim's not alone in having a high opinion of Dick - Dick thinks Tim's pretty great, too! Dick repeatedly compares himself to Tim and finds himself wanting, whether he's thinking that Tim's a better partner for Bruce, or having a fear toxin nightmare where Tim's a rival who's beating him out of a job, or deciding that Tim would never have let Blockbuster die (and that he'll be better off if Dick avoids him), or musing that Tim would be a better Batman. Dick calls Tim his equal and closest ally in Red Robin; Tim thinks Dick is "the best" in his origin story and basically never changes his mind.

I think nowadays we're sometimes pretty highly-attuned to the way that high expectations can be bad or oppressive, and... I have mixed feelings about this? On the one hand, it isn't untrue! Dick and Tim's mutual high opinions of each other, and correspondingly high expectations, are not an unmixed blessing! They 100% cause problems! Dick and Tim think highly of each other, and expect a lot from each other, and sometimes they're pushy or abrupt or demanding when they could stand to be more sensitive. And the iffy side of high expectations is something I find interesting, and I do think it's solidly canon-based - you see aspects of this in several of their comic conflicts - LPoD, Graduation Day, BftC, RR, etc.

But at the same time, it's complicated! I don't think you can fully untangle the higher expectations from "they rely on each other and have a lot of faith in each other." Love and trust are different things, and Dick and Tim care a whole lot about being trusted, not just about being loved.

I also think it's important that their belief in each other is often a gift rather than an inevitability: Dick and Tim choose to see each other in positive ways. Something they both do is after they have a conflict, they'll apply on a retrospective very positive gloss to whatever just happened. So e.g. Dick starts Resurrection mad at Tim, and ends it by declaring, "I let you make the choice... because I knew you'd make the right one." Tim spends most of Red Robin 1-12 mad at Dick, and ends it by declaring that he knew Dick would catch him because Dick's always there for him. And in both cases, we-the-readers are aware that they knew no such thing! But to me, that doesn't make these declarations meaningless - it makes them more meaningful. Their faith in each other is sometimes genuinely felt, and sometimes it's something they stubbornly brute-force into existence because they want to give that gift to each other.

And I mean... Tim did make the right choice. Dick was there when it really counted. Just because it isn't the whole truth doesn't mean it's not a truth.

Now, does this positivity also put some pressure on them? Absolutely! They're both people who are very upset by failure, so they tend to reassure each other by insisting that there was no failure, could never be failure, failure is impossible, even when they know perfectly well that's not true. They praise each other's skills as a love language, when what they mean is I love you no matter what. They talk about other people's needs but don't always acknowledge each other's. And it'd probably be healthier if they said instead, "Even if you'd made the wrong choice, it'd be okay, because it's okay to make the wrong choice sometimes," or "Even if you're not always there for me, that's okay, because no one can be there for someone else all the time."

And they do not say that, because Dick and Tim are relatively well-adjusted by Batfamily standards but that is a very low bar, and at the end of the day they're still deeply messed-up perfectionists who deal with their emotional problems by punching crime in the face.

But look, they're trying. And isn't that the important thing? <3

i actually made teams for like 8 characters for my batman fics so let me know if you want to see another one for my damian/oc wip. 🥺

for jason and my self-ship oc, bella

jason would be a dark-type gym leader by day, and definitely the leader of a violent criminal organization by night.

but what he’s doing isn’t too bad! he controls nightclubs, underground battling rings, and casinos like the ones in the game. just like in canon though, he never lets anybody harm children and he’ll hunt down any trainers in his area that are found to be abusive.

he’s tall, tough and scary but he’s sweet to his pokémon. if a kid loses to him at the gym, he won’t even take the prize money, he’ll just buy them ice cream! if teenagers or anyone older loses to his gym, he’ll just donate the prize money to local homeless shelters and places that house less fortunate children and pokémon. (not like he needs it with all of the money he makes.)

i will leave whether or not he kills people to how dark you interpret the universe to be; he would never harm a pokémon, though. anybody else remember when lance straight up murdered a team rocket member in gold/silver?

anyway this is his team!!

shiny duskull; it’s less of a pokémon he uses for battling and more just his constant companion. it’s his partner, despite being a ghost type because it’s red, masked, represents the grim reaper/death, and is a symbol of scared, crying children.

houndoom: also carries the imagery of death/hell, but it represents and his love for dogs, especially ace the bat-hound!

scrafty: it’s based on street fashion and being a delinquent, rebellious hoodlum, which fits pretty well given jason’s upbringing. duskull is his partner, but scraggy was probably the first pokémon he had.

absol: it’s a protector especially to children but is misunderstood constantly because people think it’s a bad omen of destruction, which reminds me of his reputation :(

honchcrow: it’s a mob boss, there’s not much else to say.

bisharp: wears metallic red armor and the pokédex calls it ruthless and unchanging in expression when it hunts and kills. it also usually has an army of smaller pokémon that do a lot of fighting and cutting down for it.

my oc isabella works at a bookstore, which is where her romance with jason blossoms. she’s down to earth and represents the every day people of gotham in a way that the batfamily can’t, so she would definitely be a normal type trainer; similar to how lenora in bw runs her normal-type gym out of a library in the back of a museum.

the bookstore however wouldn’t be a certified gym by the league, rather it’s more of a training space for people who want to research and practice more - she’d probably limit herself to one battle a day at the very end of her shift as a way to destress and if you win, you can get any book of your choosing for free!

jason won several times and still paid ‘as a tip’ when they first met, just so she would like him more. When she tried to return it, he only agreed to take it back if he could use it to take her on a date :(

maushold: while in my actual stories, she’s comically afraid of mice, she and jason end up having a set of twins girls! plus maushold is just an inside joke with my sister who helps me develop a lot of my batman fanfiction ideas. 🥰

lopunny: because of the way it looks, people forget that lopunny can kick your ass. which is the same as isabella, who isn’t a trained fighter, but could absolutely sock you out. plus, especially with its mega evolution, lopunny takes a lot of inspiration from dancing, and isabella represents the latin side of my heritage, by being a bachatera/salsera! again, this is a love letter to my sister who’s 2nd fav is buneary!

eevee: she’s adaptable! plus, like jason, she loves puppies!

blissey: for her calming, motherly influence! (if trainers were allowed to 7 pokemon, i’d give her a kangaskhan for this too!)

cyclizar: come on. you can’t marry jason todd, without loving motorcycle rides. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

noctowl: her partner! represents her love for books and she’s a night owl, like everyone in gotham!

Just a few random Timber based prompts I don't have time to write up myself so I'm tossing them out.

Bruce p.o.v.

Bruce goes to officially meet Bernard's parents at some event WE is hosting.

Bernard's parents don't realize he's behind them when they make a few "choice comments" about Tim (and Bernard) despite the person they're speaking with trying to signal them to stop talking.

"Brucie" Wayne proceeds to kill them with "kindness" before banning them from all things WE related.

After escorting them out to the parking lot, the act drops and "Bruce" lets them really have it. He has the means to destroy them, so leave Tim's name out of their mouths. "No, he's a legal adult. You have no say. None. You can't force him to do what you want anymore. If you won't support him, I will."

(Bernard in his head, "Am I a Robin now?")

A massive Arkham breakout causes the Bats to focus on their capture. Someone uses the distraction to up their own plans. Oracle contacts Bernard, who ends up running around in a combination of Spoiler and Robin uniforms kept at Tim's with Barbara in his ear. "You know I already knew, right?" "No, but you're explaining that later."

Bonus if he captures one of the Arkham villians. "I don't have time for your shit."

Stephanie has no clue what they're talking about when she returns to Gotham. Barbara can't "find" any clue to their identity.

Bernard convinces the Waynes to play frisbee golf during a picnic. They all play dumb except Dick who uses his circus experience as an explanation. Bruce is suspicious after Bernard says, "Oh for... I know you can do better than this!"

Later, the Bats get into a heated game using their weapons after someone makes an offhand comment about winning by a landslide if they had played earlier.

Tim doesn't realize Bernard has been kidnapped again until video pops up showing Gotham citizens "the identity of Batman." Oracle is searching for them while Bernard makes shit up and being his conspiracy theory self ("Some people think its *random name* online, but..."). While the villain is ranting at the camera, Bernard looks away and mumbles under his breath for "flyboy" to come rescue him before he's coerced into "telling the truth about BW."

But it's not Kon who shows up. "He knows, Tim." "Huh?" "He had to have said something big to get Clark to answer him."

Clark "flukes" his way into freeing Bernard. "Oh, sorry!" after hitting one of the goons upside the head with his tablet. "Accidentally" slipping in water, etc. Bruce, "Do you and Lois rehearse these situations?"

"Yo, Gotham. Listen. I don't know who they are. I just work in a restaurant where they stop for food every so often. That's it. The deli down the street gives them free stuff, too. The coffeeshop gives them drinks! Just because we give them things doesn't mean we know who they are! So all you villians who want to capture us can piss right the fuck off."

Bernard reluctantly goes on a "working" ski vacation with his parents to "keep up appearances." An avalanche buries him. Yelling out for any super to get him out begins the secret that everyone, except the bats, knows Bernard knows. Hijinks ensue until Bruce figures it out.

Bernard says he'll wait for Tim to tell him on his own.

Until he's left in the presence of Brucie Wayne for too long while waiting for Tim to get something from his old room.

"Okay. I'm done. This is just too disturbing. Mr. Wayne, for the love of... Please drop the act. I can't take it anymore."

Kalos needed a win more than the other gens, let's be real.

It did!

Like, XY over all were fun, but you could feel they were incomplete. This is the Gen where the enhanced version (or sequels) felt incredibly absent and Kalos needed more umph. For the game that led us into the 3D, it got the short end of the stick. So it really does need this.

And I think this works out overall. We were ALL dreading the "faithful" BW remakes. And I wasn't that all excited for Let's Go Jhoto, though I found this was the least likely option. So Legends Z-A was a very pleasant surprise. And it's coming out next year at an unknown time! It's got time to cook! Well, assuming they didn't start development recently. Hopefully it's further along than recently started. Either way, it's really good they took a break this year, I got plenty of Pokemon games to replay, and some fan games to play, and I'm just going to curiously keep an eye out for news. And hope the earliest release will be November as then it'll be kinda close to getting a 2 year development, cause the more time to cook the better. I am good waiting for games, I'd rather a finished product than a rushed one.

And by the teaser, there's so much curiosity over it.

Is it really going to be set in the past and a prequel? Or is it going to be more modern-future and a sequel? Helping with the construction of Lumoise City to me leans more past but we'll see. I also wonder if we'll see a Pokemon version of Napoleon as he was the one who wanted Paris reconstructed.

And learning that, apparently, it's entirely set in Lumiose City is going to be interesting to see how that works. Will there be biomes? Or will the Lumiose Catacombs (that it should have) be used as places to catch wild pokemon? And how are we going to play a role in the city reconstruction? It's a different theme and set up to be sure, one I am curious about.

Also, with Mega Evolution coming back (which was my favorite of the gimmicks), I do wonder if this means we'll get more Megas over regional and convergent forms, which I would be a little bummed about, but its cool to get more Megas.

And we'll finally see the Mega Kalos Starters! And maybe Flygon will get a Mega finally! And I know some wanted to Mega Dragonite and we did see Dragonair in the trailer so that's a possibility.

And then there's the fun of the starter speculation, assuming we'll still get a shuffled up trio. Which so far this is the most popular theory I think:

Which does have some merit, as two are based on French royalty/leaders, and Torchic can be tied to the Gallic Rooster.

The only thing to clash is chances are good we'll get Megas for them over regional evolution, and we already got Mega Blaziken. They may prefer to do a whole new trio. Torchic is also a bit of an odd one out as there are 2 specifically based on French royalty and Torchic isn't, unless there is a French royal it could be tied to. Charlemagne is the only other iconic French royal I can think of, but I don't know enough specific details about him outside he unified the Franks and was the first King of France, but maybe Blaziken could work off him?

Either way, I am very curious, a little excited and hopeful, though more cautious optimistic. I am hoping this game will have enough time to cook. I do love Pokemon and I want to see this franchise thrive and be the best it can be. So I am curiously excited for us to revisit Kalos soon and see how it's going to go.

Pros and Cons of each Pokémon series

OS: Great world-building but permanently hurt the foundation of the series with its adaptation of the game mechanics

AG: Established a better foundation for characters with plots and growth and such but lack of standout factor will always make it the forgotten middle child of OS and DP

DP: Has some of the best aspects of Pokémon in general like rivals and characterization but also has some of the worst handling of other aspects like pacing and balancing

BW: In a vacuum is one of the better series to start with due to its more modern take on OS with numerous improvements, but in reality, it’s the middle series and it's being treated like a new beginning hurts it as it can’t escape that aspect o resetting things while also trying to keep the past alive

XY: On paper did a lot pretty well, from pacing to presentation but it also felt shallow at times as the depth wasn't truly there for some of the decisions the series made making it feel like the pretty but shallow stereotype of the shows

SM: Had pretty excellent character work, but the change in formula does make a lot of things feel extra instead of vital in the grand scheme of things

JN: it did a good job of going through all regions and giving the characters reasons and purpose to be there but a lot of past aspects people want and expect fell short such as not as much Galar or Chloe not being a true third member

HZ: (still early so these are just based on the 22 episodes I've watched) Can feel the anime team has now a proper feel of the world and characters but also the anime has less of a motivating factor to watch as the goals lend well to keeping the anime going Roy’s and Friede’s goals are like Ash’s Pokemon Master goal, and Liko is in her Chloe not completely sure yet period but the driving factor to keep coming back week to week is weak so far

I stick with a previous statement I've made where each series is like a 7/10 just focusing on different things where depending on your preferences and such can like one series more than the other

If you like action more then you would like XY more, if you like character building more you might like SM more etc

Something I don't think people have said much before is that I think OS, BW, and XY are great for people not familiar with Pokemon previously whereas AG, DP, and JN are great for those who know the history of the series and even games

This means a fan of like 20 years would hate BW but love DP because of the soft reset and following DP where Ash was at a high but someone new would appreciate BW more than a DP as DP doesn't welcome new people as much as a BW

I like all series but have just been seeing more discourse specifically around XY again online and felt that I should post my thoughts as I do like each series but each has its own problems

I have such fondness for Ingo and Emmet's Unova team. Is it completely unbalanced? Yes. But it's still rad as fuck. I actually like that it's so imbalanced, because it gives a bit more insight into their personalities. They clearly went for Pokémon they like best over what makes a more textbook perfect team, which is probably also why they never use legendaries to give them an edge like a lot of battle facility teams. It suggests that those are probably also ones they've trained up since they were young, which means that their bonds would be ridiculously strong. They love to win, but they do it their way, 100% authenticly. They love to win, but they love their Pokémon more.

Between that, their perfect trust in each other, and the fact that they've worked as fluid team for a long, long time, and they must make for truly terrifying opponents even among other facility heads. (I so would like to see facility head tournament, all out, no level caps. It'd be fascinating to see who comes out on top, especially in the multi battle category.)

oh in multis? ingo and emmet would CLEAN UP no chance no questions asked. i may be biased but i also think i'm just objectively right on account of they're the only facility leaders who arguably specialize in multis.

i could natter on and on about how i think battling works in universe, and the way that multis are so so difficult for many people because they rely on perfect synchronicity not just with your own pokemon, which is already a bar of its own to clear, but then with an entirely different person, and the pokemon that they are controlling, not you, and you have to be able to predict and strategize with and trust this entirely separate team in the heat of battle.

and it's like, the chatelaines are probably ok, red and blue are probably very good, but ingo and emmet this is like their thing. they don't even seem have a defined and clearly delineated Ingo's Team and Emmet's Team - it's just their pokemon, one pool, together. sure they do singles and doubles on their own, but multis is what their whole gimmick was made for. so like, am i biased yes. i am incredibly biased in that i think they could also clear out the other formats as well. BUT wrt multis i also think they are just objectively better suited to and practiced in it than any other facility leaders thus far.

this answer has gotten away from me a little i didn't mean to talk that much about multi battles um. anyway YEAH i think their bw teams are really fun too. especially because - yknow, some of the other facility leaders? like, the chatelaines, the frontier brains, benga, they're breaking out legends or pseudolegends against you, pokemon with a very high base strength, most of them have a wide typespread of highly rated pokemon to add that level of challenge, but on the subway? hydreigon who needs it, swords of justice more like swords of NOTHING, we're rolling with 3 bug types 4 steel types and 1 goddamn gimmick ace and we are going to fuck up your entire life.

they're obviously very sharp tactical trainers with a lot of knowledge and experience, on account of like, the fact that they're doing this job, and also the EV training and egg moves they're using, but they're not pouring all their effort into minmaxing their teams! they're gonna use whatever pokemon they want! their favs and their buds! and they're gonna kick ass at it. iconic

something I've read once somewhere (I can't remember where) and I loved it ever since:

What would be awesome to show Ingo already has been through his Hisui adventure is a "Hisui" or a "Classic" line with rules that are based around the Battle system in Hisui.

Ingo is the one you meet the majority of time but I'm sure Emmet would be so eager to learn this battle system to perfection.

I mean, I guess the obvious would be the PLA gimmick of move mastery and maybe the grit system to improve stats? Strong and agile style would be a huge giveaway that he's already been through Hisui and returned home. If not that, they could always give Ingo a pokemon that could only come from there, like maybe his alpha team or something like that.

I really hope that they don't just get rid of Ingo's Hisui team if it's meant to be post Hisui either, but maybe we just don't see them, like the way it's implied Cheren still has his bw pokemon in b2w2 and we never see them. Who knows.

It could also be some extra dialogue, or something along the lines of us reminding him of the PLA MC.

Emmet deserves some more screen time as well, too! So yeah, definitely agree that he should show up more if Ingo does. Would be hard to believe Mr "I like winning more than anything else" wouldn't want to learn as much as possible about the move mastery, so there's that

Bot Buddy is Cheetor’s twin

Buddy has a stricter personality.

Beast mode is an otter.

Buddy constantly is looking out for Cheetor. Cheetor is infamously known for getting into trouble due to how rash he enters battles, even if he means well. It is a common occurrence to see them both on patrol, as one is never too far from the other.

“Hey, hey where are you going?”--Buddy

“I’m going out to stretch my legs.”--Cheetor

“Okay, give me a minute to get my gun ready.”--Buddy

“No, I mean, I’m going out. Like by myself. Solo bot outside.” --Cheetor

“Cheetor so far, I’m the only thing that gets you back to the base in one piece. Do I need to remind you of the Canyon incident?” -- Buddy

“… So how much longer is it going to take to get the blaster ready?”--Buddy

Cheetor antagonizes Buddy a lot. Cheetor’s impulsive and rash decisions are the bane of Buddy’s existence. The crew honestly does not have the slightest idea on how they are even related.

“So, what if I scared Rhinox right now?”--Cheetor

“How about you don’t? He has a blowtorch in his servos.”--Buddy

Optimus and Rhinox find the differences between them amusing. They are secretly grateful that someone is looking out for Cheetor. They can’t look after him whenever he does his little stunts every time.

“Cheetor what you did was irresponsible- “--Primal

“Hold on Optimus, let me have him for a nanoclick.”--Buddy

“Thanks Buddy I knew I could count on you to save me from the lecture!”--Cheetor

“Who said anything about saving you from a lecture? What in the Allspark did you do out there?!”--Buddy

Rattrap and Dinobot constantly bet which twin will win whenever a fight breaks out. They are often at a tie in the bet’s by the end of the day.

“20 units that Buddy notices Cheetor missing in the next 5 minutes.”--Rattrap

“Absurd assumption… 30 units for the next minute.”--Dinobot

Tigatron and Airazor find the sibling relationship funny and somewhat understand the dynamic and how they work.

“Its quiet today?”--Tigatron

“Maybe everyone is finally taking a break on this calm day.” --Airazor

CRASH

“Buddy, I swear I did not mean it!”--Cheetor

“Cheetor you better use your legs and run!”--Buddy

“There’s the noise.”--Tigatron

Later when Silverbolt joins he finds the dynamic between the siblings confusing. He is just glad they can work out differences and things end up okay in the end.

“Must you both keep bickering about small things?”--Silverbolt

“I don’t know Silverbolt, can you stop talking about Blackarachnia for the next 5 minutes?”--Buddy

“… understandable, carry on then.”--Silverbolt

Cheetor does bring out the fun side of Buddy. Though it doesn’t show out that often. Sometimes the twins will be at their throats one minute, then, the next fighting enemies together like a well-oiled machine.

“Bet I can shoot Waspinator from here.”--Cheetor

“That’s dumb… I can do it with my optics shut.”--Buddy

They do have their fair share of sibling fights. Most common fight topics are usually about Cheetor’s safety and Buddy trying to have fun and not being serious all the time.

The fights usually are categorized in 3 different stages:

1. A petty little spat

“That’s not how it’s done.”--Buddy

“Says who?”--Cheetor

“Says common sense!”--Buddy

That is over in an hour or completely forgotten in the hour.

2. The Arguments

“You need to loosen up. Your always so serious and grumpy.” --Cheetor

“First off, I can loosen up, I choose when I want to. Also I’m not also ways serious and grumpy all the time.”--Buddy

“Are too!”--Cheetor

“Am not!”--Buddy

That has them trying to avoid the other but reconcile at the end of the day.

3. The rarest, full-on yelling and screaming that ends with the two of them avoiding each other for days at a time.

"..."--Cheetor

"..."--Buddy

Rattrap will never admit it, but he genuinely got scared the first time one of those happened while he was around. Most of the crew never knew that it could get so loud and quiet so quickly outside of fighting Predacons. No one likes it when this happens.

But Buddy usually gets to talking with Cheetor first and tries to solve the problem with him. Cheetor does, most times take up for what he had done wrong and reconcile with his twin.

“Guess what I’m trying to say is… I’m sorry.”--Cheetor

“…I’m sorry too.”--Buddy

Strange enough, to the team, if they ever got forcefully separated, example: kidnapped or on a longer than normal patrol, the other will act rasher and impulsive.

If Buddy is gone, Cheetor becomes even more restless than usual and wants to go out and find them.

“We need to go in now! Buddy could be really hurt right now and we are just stuck here!”--Cheetor

“Cheetor calm down.”--Primal

“No! Not until Buddy is safe!”--Cheetor

If Cheetor is gone, Buddy paces a lot and tries tracking Cheetor down with the trackers or will want to go out and rely on good old fashion scent finding.

“I’m going out, I can track Cheetor down with his scent.”--Buddy

“Buddy we need to-“--Rhinox

“We need to move and get Cheetor out of there!”--Buddy

The first time the team witnessed Buddy’s impulsivity they were a bit surprised was an understatement. Dinobot was sure that Buddy had been replaced with a clone for a second.

Primus help the Predacon that hurts the one of the twins and the other is around. Terrorsaur still shivers a bit whenever Buddy flashes their tiny teeth at him, and it’s not the pleasant shiver.

Transformers Omnicode BASIC TIMELINE

Ight so here is the basic and IMPORTANT plot points of the Omnicode timeline! Keep in mind that there MAY be changes to this at any given point.

ALSO, while to PLOT itself doesn't show many things, rest assured things like the Iacon Relics from TFP, the Space Bridges/Magnus Hammer from TFA, The Golden Disk from BW, etc will ALL be somehow included into the plot, either as relics being hunted down, or just references and such in the background, or something else entirely!

IMPORTANT PLOT POINTS:

ARK Division gets the order from Orion to send everyone off world.

The main AUTOBOT cast enters the ARK and discovers its secrets.

The ARK arrives on Earth and lands in an old Cybertronian-made campsite hidden deep in the mountains. The Decepticons also arrive and make a base somewhat nearby.

A few conflicts covering the area ensue, following various targets (Ancient Technology, Energon Mines, etc).

FASTFORWARD: The main AUTOBOT cast has all found altmodes. (“side episodes” would describe their interactions with the humans via Jack, Miko, Raf, Sari and Issac Sumdac, and N.E.S.T) when Optimus Prime arrives with Ultra Magnus and Elita One.

Cut to various characters which reveals both sides are getting tired finally. Even Megatron was tired and thinking of ways to end the war without fighting.

Enter the Shattered Glass universe. The Shattercons (SG Decepticons) join the Autobots. The Shatterbots (SG Autobots) join the Decepticons. Goldbug runs to join the Autobots.

More fighting and planning. Shatter Prime (SG Optimus) begins to challenge Megatron.

Galvatron and the Unicronians arrive on Earth. Shatter Prime alongside some of the Shatterbots and Decepticons join him.

The rest of the Decepticons and Shatterbots join the Autobots and Shattercons.

The fighting begins to become serious, with the two new battle lines drawn.

Final fight ensues. Galvatron faces off Megatron and SG!Megatron (He doesn’t change his name) while Optimus stands up against Alpha Magnus (SG! Ultra Magnus) and Shatter Prime.

The good guys win and finally peace is realized.

SIDE PLOTS

The Scavengers and Nova Prime story plot [Scavengers come across the perfect preserved AND STILL ACTIVE body of Nova Prime].

Lugnut, Blitzwing, Lockdown, Soundblaster mercenary adventures.

The Astrotrain Scandal: Nitro Zeus deals with a cruel scientist.

Which bring us to the how of EXECUTING this how fan continuity. The way most probably would is make a comic outta it. WHICH WOULD BE COOL! But I've TRIED making a comic before, due to my lack of concentration to a singular project and my motivation being all over the walls at times and drained the next, I never finished it.

SO! I'll probably be making short stories, mini comics, memes, art, and just silly things to show of the universe. ANY questions at all, feel free to shot me one! OH, and the main cast (kinda, there will be more made in the future) bios are getting done! Almost done with the Autobots and then I can work on the Decepticons!

the interest - now why are we giving pretty privilege boy roles out of his range. AGAIN. be so serious rn. you know who would’ve slayed this role? apo. might watch though ngl lol

beauty newbie - i was like totally sold on it until win came on screen lol it is funny though that he is playing eunwoo’s role... you know... the pretty privilege boys together

our skyy 2 - it’s giving kpop boy group and that’s not a compliment. also there is no way these couples are popular? earthmix ohmnanon and firstkaoh sure i believe you but the rest? somebody call nugupromoter. no offense to joong.

midnight museum - finally real fucking television. finally gun being cast with a fellow ACTOR. i win. like im so excited ARE YOU DUMB!!!!

the jungle - this doesnt have subs PISSING ME OFF. they need to stop trying to sell us krist as a casanova be so serious rn. the male cast is mostly but not entirely bad... while the female cast is excellent i fear so yes i think i will watch this...

dangerous romance - i dont know what that trailer was supposed to be lol i’ll wait for it to come out to decide ... it doesnt look... good? um... but i guess

i think (at least from this trailers) gmmtv dramas are starting to look better visually which is crazy. but i wonder if they simply used this level of quality because it’s just like. trailers and not the real thing. i hope not because it looks a lot better like this

i dont know if im in the wrong here but i am growing progressively angrier and honestly resentful of bls. the way they are favored the way we get quantity over quality the way they overshadow everything the way they inevitably result in women being thrown to the back and neglected. im starting to think a mass extinction needs to happen. boycotting it isnt enough i need them gone.

you gotta give it to them, they DID stray away from what they usually do in terms of genres and stories...

i feel like they are giving prim main girl treatment and that is very pleasing to me bc she is a STAR easily the best actress gmmtv has currently (from the younger side at least)

oh and i forgot. what a wasted opportunity not to have tor and kao together. en fin la hipotenusa.
