THE MARCHAND WEDDING August 22nd w/ @montgomeryjulia​

Kate sat at the table next to her niece, picking up some of the food in front of her to help feed her. She let a wide smile come along her features as she scrunched her nose up at the little girl in front of her, a little girl that was going to be one in October. It was hard to believe how quick life had gone by because it was like yesterday where she was sitting in front of her sister’s high chair and feeding her. She turned her head to look over at the woman sitting next to her, watching her as she talked to her husband. After a few minutes, she heard Julia speak next to her. “Sorry, I was paying too much attention to your adorable daughter. What did you say?”

Maybe she should have called first before showing up at the Townsend’s home, but she had one week of free time before her college summer classes started. Which meant she had one week to have as much fun as possible - and that lead her to Julia. The girl who never failed to make things interesting. Almost sighing in relief when who she was looking for answered the day, a bright smile appeared on her face. “Julia! I know it’s super duper short notice, but some guy at work told me about a party he’s having and... Free drinks was an offer I thought you’d want in on. And you know if we don’t show up, they’ll be missing the two prettiest girls around.” @thcprcblem

Losing Starcourt Mall had its ups and downs. Most of the big name stores, Scoops Ahoy included, had packed up and left Hawkins years ago. But that also meant businesses in Downtown Hawkins were thriving again. There were some places in the mall that couldn’t be replaced. Luckily for Steve, there was still a movie theater down the road from where he went to high school.

During the summer after Starcourt shut down, he spent many afternoons there. He worked in a video store, but watching VHS tapes just wasn’t the same as going to the movies. That, and Robin insisted he keep up to date on all the latest flicks.

Steve was just leaving a matinee when he happened to see a familiar face standing in the lobby.

Julia.

 He couldn’t believe his luck. Moreover, he couldn’t believe that she hadn’t called before showing up in Hawkins. It had been months since they last talked to each other over the phone, but Steve had the same cheery disposition that he’d always had when he approached her. It was almost like nothing had changed.

“Well, will you look who it is. Going to see a movie before you see me? I almost have half a mind to be offended.”

James smiled when he saw the redhead. “Julia, hi,” James said. “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. Since my graduation maybe?”

He didn’t want to be a diva, he didn’t. That behavior went against everything he believed in, every ideal he’d based his whole life and career on. But now he was going on a week without any pain meds, without anything injectables, blood clearing from anything but nicotine and holy shit was he losing it. Which brings him to his current critical meltdown; why is the Pepsi always flat. Did no one know how to change it out? Shit he’d go do it himself if it meant he’d get that sweet relief of a sugar rush. Instead, he stews, sipping on the seemingly flat soda until he can’t take it anymore. “Can I ask you somethin’? Will you, will you taste this for me and tell me if it’s flat or not?” He asks, reaching across the bar and grabbing a straw for Julia.

Alec was laying his head on his books when Julia. “Don’t give me that look, I’m fine,” he said, sniffling a little bit. “It’s probably like allergies or something.”

A BLIND VALENTINE’S DAY AFFAIR with @montgomeryjulia

If there was one thing anyone who knew Kate was aware of, it was the fact that dresses were not her thing. In fact, she loathed them so the fact she had to start wearing them to seem more appealing and talkative was something she could have lived without and the fact now they were adding blind dating on top of it all. She exhaled as she opened her purse, dropping her phone into it as she started walking towards the entrance, her eyes lifting up in time to see her sister standing by the door. “Hey,” she slowed her pace as she glanced her sister up and down to make sure nothing was physically wrong. “You have the look on your face again. Are you worried about the blind dating thing or the kids?”

Julian has done many mistakes, as we all do, one of the things he regrets the most is always doing what he family wanted him to do, getting married, trying to have children, he let other people decide things, important things for his life because of his sense of duty to his family, looking back now, he wished he had done things differently, and of course, the whole trying to bring Haleh back to life.
