Those in italics have five or more pieces of usable visual, written, or audio propaganda already. If you have any visuals like photos or videos, or if you have something to say in words, submit it to this blog before round one begins on June 25th!
If you don't see a name you submitted here, it's because most or all of their career was as a child/they were too young for the cutoff, their career was almost entirely after 1979, or music was something they only dabbled in and are hardly known for. There are quite a few ladies on the list whose primary career wasn't "recording artist" or "live musician," but released several albums or were in musical theater, so they've been accepted.

Im really tempted to animate the entirety of the Hamilton musical with the cast of ninjago and nexo lmao
As in like, instead of the real actors of the play, the actors are replaced with the charaters playing out the charaters lmao
so like what I have in my vision is :
Kai - Alexander H.
Skylar - Eliza H.
Nya - [she didn't get a choice] Angelica S.
Cole - Hercules M., James M.
Jay - [many charaters, mainly:] King G. Samuel C.(?), Charles L.
Lloyd - John L. [to appease the gf ships LMAO], Phillip H.
Clay - George W. [self explanatory]
Lance - [I can't spell french mans name °^]°(lance just puts on a lil moo-stache), Thomas J.
Macy - Peggy S., Mariah(?) R.
Aaron - Aaron B. [very self explanatory]
:D. I have so many funny scenes in my mind, but animating an almost 3 hour musical will be insanely long to make.

charles melton. cis-man. he/him. 34/323. ⸻ king roberon cole welcomes phillip fairbanks to fabletown—or, as they were once known, prince charming from fables. before the magic mirror, they come glamoured in the mirage of a nameless sea of admires to sustain you, fineries disguising an inner rot, . the tale from which they hail exalted their + charming and + passionate, but decried their - superficial and - fickle in equal measure. no matter; this time, they shall write their own. in accordance with the fabletown compact, they are granted amnesty for any and all transgressions, even that which is little known: he paid a pretty penny (almost as pretty as him) to have the old head doctor disposed of… but he’s having second thoughts now.
once upon a time…
there was a prince, just as there is in any tale. he’s doted upon incessantly, far more than any other of his nameless siblings, something they pick up upon easily, and something he largely chooses to ignore.
sounds like every old story, right?
the only difference is that in this story, giving the prince everything he could’ve ever wanted only begins to rot him to his core. this, paired alongside the absence of accountability and lack of consequences, begin to shape the boy into anything but charming. he’d want for nothing— a platinum spoon laced between his pitiless, youthful fingers. his parents never batted an eye at his outbursts and temper tantrums.
they  did not think twice when he’d pull his mother’s hair, nor when his lips would twist upward in wicked satisfaction after successfully pulling a cruel joke on one of his father’s advisors.
these details about the prince have a habit of never making it into the final product, so we won’t linger upon the details for too long.
the weight of expectations reach him near adulthood, but charming never seems to falter. he slays every beast, and perhaps draws a little too much enjoyment from the process. he rescues princess after princess (hell, even a prince on occasion), any and every that need rescuing— and in his own, self absorbed way— he truly did love them all.
this is largely how he continues his life— never sparing himself of any luxury or indulgence, simply because he doesn’t have to. even when he inherits the kingdom, there is no change of heart. he does not rise to the task of a leader— largely ignoring the people of his kingdom, to the disdain of his advisors, and even his queen. but what reason did he have to be better, when he could do everything and anything he wanted— without even an ounce of reprecussions?
It is in fable town, when he practically loses it all, that the prince realizes the life he lived may have been a farce. he realizes. that his adventures and pursuits of hedonism were an attempt to fill an emptiness that he did not realize was there. he somewhat comes to terms with the havoc he’s wrecked and the hearts he’s broken— and decides that if there was ever a better time to begin staying true to the source material, then its now.
that’s right, prince charming is claiming to have to turned over a new leaf. he’s attempting to be good now, because that’s what a prince is supposed to be, right?
prince charming is a changed man. he’s a man worthy of redemption, worthy of love, worthy of endless adoration, and most of all, a man worthy of immortalization. he’ll prove them all wrong, one way or another.
etc…
y’all already know he ain’t shit fr
basically cinderella’s prince charming from into the woods attempting to have a redemption arc
the problem him is that he believes it’s his duty to be everyone’s prince charming. it’s all very superficial and he’s quite empty as a result.
beyond that he’s selfish, egotistical, melodramatic, sensitive, volatile, shallow, and impulsive
and really fucking charming… did i mention that already?
seriously though— he cares a lot… in his own, fucked up way.
this dude knows nothing about introspection.
after an epiphany of sorts, he’s decided that becoming an actual prince charming, like on the inside, nonnegotiable. he wants to be a hero! forreal this time! via being a doctor.
kinda weird, because everything he knows about what prince charming is *supposed* to be comes from the grandiose, false narratives created to make him look better. this dumbass is modeling the new him after fake things written about him lol.
(who let this man be a doctor? and gave him a medical degree? that’s probably the only time he’s actually worked hard though ngl.)
desperately wants everyone to love him, but always on his own terms.

Any reca where after the first time the mcs have sex, either of them are like “eh I dunno that was mid” so the other one is determined to fix that?
I’ve seen it happen once.
Well, I will say that I just finished The Mistress Experience by Scarlett Peckham, coming out 6/25. It's SO SO GOOD, can't recommend it enough, and it focuses on a sexually inexperienced (not virginal) hero who hires the heroine, a famous courtesan, to teach him how to be good in bed for when he gets married. Obviously, their first couple of encounters aren't GREAT and there's some really interesting stuff done regarding experience and stuff. SO GOOD.
Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole has the virginal Conrad Wroth get with Neomi, a former burlesque dancer who's super experienced. I don't even think he makes it inside her the first time lol and he's very UGH OH NO I SUCK and she's like petting his head very understanding all "don't worry bb you'll figure it out". It's actually quite cute.
Actually, in Kiss of a Demon King by Kresley Cole when Rydstrom takes Sabine's (technical) virginity she REALLY doesn't like it. She's not like... traumatized? But he's very caught up and she's like telling her sister "well, NEVER doing THAT again". (She does that again.) Rydstrom is an AAAAALPHA so he's like "well I am in fact going to make her come five billion times".
A Rose at Midnight by Anne Stuart (which is, to be clear, a dark historical romance with dubcon between the leads at first) has a variation of this. She's pretending to not be into it but she is (though she doesn't come the first time because she's trying to enjoy it and is angry that she's enjoying it) and he's like... devastated by the fact that he came REAL FAST (after telling her he wouldn't lmao) and she didn't and SHE HAS THE UPPER HAND!!!! They're both kinda morons in love I love them. He is determined to get that upper hand lol.
In Nobody's Baby But Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, they have very mid sex twice (where he's actively like "I don't even know why??? I want to have sex with you so badly???") but after she gets pregnant, very much by her design, and he forces her to marry him (lmao) he does eventually resolve to fuck her good.
His at Night by Sherry Thomas has a very sort of like... quick and ouch first time, and there's a lot of resentment between them, but he does make it up to her for sure after being like "yeah I flubbed that".
Bass-Ackwards by Eris Adderly has a very WEIRD kinda coercive first time wherein the heroine gets fucked over her boss's desk in exchange for some PTO (and he's like in the moment all "can I fuck your ass" and she's like "I guess???" which was a choice) and then later he actually tries to give her good sex lol.
Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield has a variation on this wherein the hero and heroine have great sex throughout the book, BUT one of several elephants in the room is that he won't go down on her, and I thought that was dealt with in a really interesting way.
Run, Posy, Run by Cate C. Wells has a hero and heroine in a relationship at the beginning of the book that's really disconnected, and he honestly doesn't care to really give her good sex and she doesn't really know to expect it... And then he's tricked into thinking she's cheated, she goes on the run because he's a mafioso, he realizes he was tricked and chases after her, and realizes he needs to go back to the drawing room sexually as part of his efforts to get her back. And boy does he.
The Chief by Monica McCarty has the hero and heroine have sex in a situation where he didn't actually know it was her lol, and she was a virgin so it was a big surprise ouch deal, and then he couldn't even finish... So after they're subsequently forced to marry, he kinda has to fix it lol.
Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas has the infamous scene where Harry withdraws because he thinks he's causing Poppy agony (he's not it just hurt a bit and he freaked out and stopped and was all I'M A MONSTERRRR) and he basically ghosts and Poppy has to be like "YOU GET BACK HERE AND FUCK ME GOOD".

Officer Material - Futility Closet
Three privates in the Army Air Forces caused some confusion when they showed up at the advanced flying school at Mather Field in California in 1942. Their names were Admiral C. Allen, General Rudolph Merriweather, and Lieutenant Garnes. (Berkeley Daily Gazette, Oct. 8, 1942) General L. Phillips and Lieutenant Tisdale were inducted into the Army (as privates) in Knoxville, Tenn., in 1952. (Lubbock Evening Journal, March 20, 1952) “Private Colonel Underwood found it convenient to drop the title when requesting hotel reservations while on leave,” wrote Elsdon Coles Smith in The Story of Our Names (1970). “He would say, ‘This is Colonel Underwood speaking.’ It usually worked.”
Tumblr media
So the airbase has a commander whose name is Sergeant. His rank is Lieutenant Colonel and his office is, of course, private.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert part 4
Colbert: Welcome back to the Late Show, and now Phillip and Cole's Variety Team explain why Calvin Klein is not the last name on Phillip's sick list.
PBC: Thank you. The rest of the team is not with me tonight, because my wife didn't make enough bullet-proof suits. They sent their comments though. First of all, I, phil Cole, appreciate the people who thought Calvin Klein might be the last name on Phillip's sick list. It was a more cerebral guess than most because my wife is a fashion designer, therefore we are several million dollars poorer than we might have been if Calvin Klein had chosen another field of work. Therefore I dislike him. Phillip however was never too concerned about the profit or loss statements of my wife's business, just as long as we weren't trying to borrow any money from him. He did however have an objection to Calvin Klein. It's because so much of his wealth came from designer blue jeans. Phillip said that was the equivalent of a singer getting rich by singing Oh Susannah in a different key...mmmmmp. Cole, the Nashville rapper wrote, I quote:
Cole: I don't like Calvin Klein on accounta he ain't never used one of my rap songs during a runway show.
PBC: Unquote; neither has my wife. Cole's cousin Brad is a hillbilly. He writes:
Brad: I don't like Calvin Klein on accounta he's gay, and Jewish and lives in one of them northern cities, but he's still got the gaul to design blue jeans. Only us good ole boys from the south and west should be allowed to design blue jeans.
PBC: umm...umm...mmmmmp sorry. Ford is Brad's older brother. He's a retired judge in Tennessee. He...wrote his response in Latin. I guess he figures with Phillip gone he'll be the smart one on the team now. umm, umm,...
Ford: Non probabo Calvin Klein quod eius multae societates, diversis nominibus in variis terris mundi operantes et a forma ambiguo continenter moderatis, induxerunt nodum rerum quod fere impossibile facit quovis iudicio contra societatem per systema curiae exsequi.
PBC: I don't know what that means, but it must be funny. All the pharmacists are laughing. Norbert Adams, the unluckiest man in the world until he won a Grammy a few months ago...writes:
Norbert: I-I-I d-d-don't li-li-li-like C-C-C-Calvin Kl-Kl-Klein because he's he's he's he's he's g-g-g-gay and and and he m-m-m-m-married 2 women anyway heh heh heh, decreasing m-m-m-my ch-ch-chances heh heh heh heh heh heh heh
PBC: Mmmmmp...I wonder why he had to write the studder in the note...The...uh...the sicker I get, the sicker he gets. Now the Ranting old Man passed away almost 2 years ago now, but before he died he left quite a collection of jokes and comments for such a time as this. Don't forget he was only in his 60s when Calvin Klein exploded to fame. I haven't looked at this. It's a little long. I won't read it all. He says he doesn't like women wearing blue jeans. He wants to see as much leg as possible. Then he tells a story...oh...I didn't know this. After his second wife died...1991 I think, he met a woman wearing designer jeans, and...when he got her pants off, the sight of what was underneath made him gag. Ever since then all his first dates were at the beach. So, none of us like the man, but Calvin Klein was not the last name on Phillip's sick list.
Colbert: Don't go away. We'll be pulling the plug on Phillip right after this.

It turns out to be a dubious gambler named Harry Weston and his saloon singer girlfriend, Kay, whom both Matt and Mark have already been acquainted with. Turns out that Harry is in a rush to register his mining claim that he has just won, and sensing his journey will be considerably quicker and safer on horseback, steals, after a fight, Matt’s rifle and horse. Agreeing to let Kay stay behind with the Calder’s, Weston sets off. Once roused and ready to tr...
