Yay requests are open!!! Could I please get Cagney x sheep reader where he slowly befriends reader and falls in love. Then he learns the reader's dad is the devil (but they're completely different from their dad and is a sweetheart!) And learns they hid who they were because they didn't want him to hate them

When you first meet Cagney, he's in his "cute" form and asks what you're doing in his garden.

To his surprise, you’re just there to admire the flowers, even bringing water for them.

He’s used to scaring off trespassers, but bc you're so kind he welcomes you back to the garden whenever you want.

He does show you his actual form and his snarky attitude. Neither deter you from becoming his friend.

Then as time goes on, you both start to catch feelings for one another.

Cagney's garden friends notice and tease him for being in love (to which he just huffs and tugs his petals, flustered bc he knows they're right).

So one sunny day, he springs up into your backyard with a bouquet and a (rather awkward) confession.

But you accept! 

You did love the handsome and charming flower with all your heart, though you had a secret that you kept from most residents of Inkwell.

That being..the one Cagney and many others sold their souls to was none other than your father: Devil.

As he ranted to you about being double-crossed, you could only frown in worry. Not only because of the debt he was in, but because of how much scorn he had for your father and how he’d rip him apart in a heartbeat.

You’ve seen him become more irrational, more violent, more territorial..especially when one of Devil’s henchmen find you and ask you to return to Hell.

Cagney practically yeets them out of his garden before looking at you and asking why they said it was your "home".

Regretfully, you tell him the truth. You’re Devil’s family, but you swear on your life that you’re nothing like him and don’t ever want to be like him.

That’s why you lived on the surface for so long, haven't said a word about your bloodline, and refused to visit the casino..no matter how much it enticed you or your friends.

Cagney’s confused and hurt, nearly throwing a big fit, but he soon understands why you’d separate yourself from that fiend.

He reassures you that he doesn't hate you at all.

You try telling him that you could convince your father to return his soul--though he’s worried about losing the power he was given.

And he admits he gambled for it so he could protect both his garden and you.

But if Devil were to ever come back and claim his contract, he’ll fight tooth and leaf to defend you.

A/N: I’ve never done this for Cagney before! But I’m willing to try ^^! My version of Cagney might be a bit different from what her folk write him as but I hope you enjoy nonetheless

To start this off I think Cagney is generally fairly mean, and shut off to the outside world and finding solace in his little area.

However most of the critters that stumble into his area always end up being his pal and leaving with some sort of fern or flower as they head out into the dirt paths

So one day when a lost little kitty finds them sleeves under a tree, tired and confused from the heat he reluctantly takes action

As always they leave as mutual friends and the feline leaves with a bundle of dandelions to make tea or cookies with

However is surprised him when they come back with a treat as a thanks! Usually no one comes back unless they get lost again and he has to rescue them

“Did you purposely get lost?” “No I just wanted to see you, I know where I am!”

The fact that the cat wanted to see him again made his petals curl and his face burn, he brushed it off the first few times but of course you can’t brush off love forever

The relationship is a bit weird and going on dates tends to be hard due to his lack of legs and having to travel via soil, but y’all make it work

The two spend a lot of time sun bathing, and resting as the breeze tickles your fur and his petals it is a relaxing relationship, of course you two bicker at times but other than that it’s smooth sailing

Context: (Y/n) is a journalist, writing their own newspaper rather than continuing the family fishing business. It's finally starting to kick off then ding dong! Guess who's back and ready to make their life a living hell!] i wrote this so long ago but every time i read it i go insane

It was an oven even at 8 in the morning, even with the sea's salty breeze leaving kisses on my cheeks, even with being drenched in sweat. I'm so greasy I'm surprised I haven't started frying yet. I collapsed in my pathetic, wooden rowboat; groaning in exasperation. The waves gently rock my boat, almost pitying me. "God, why me of all people have to end up like this? What exactly have I done to deserve this? Being born?", I scoffed and closed my eyes; head resting on my folded arms.

My semi-peacefulness was interrupted by the voice I least wanted to hear.

"(Y/N)!! I'm back!! You best not've slacked off!", my dad yells from back on shore. I groaned and called back, then heard loud slam of the front door. I sigh and roll my eyes. I sat back up and grab the sun-bleached wooden oars. I held onto them tight enough to make my knuckles turn white. With that I hauled me and the fish back to the pier.

I tied the boat to its post and struggled as I heaved the fishing net (fish and all) onto the pier. I put a foot onto the dock as extra leverage. Geez, who woulda thought fish would weigh so damn much? I dropped the net onto a tarp I previously sat out, and finally climbed onto the dock myself. I wobbled about on my two feet, not used to the stability of land.

Once regaining my land legs, I tug on the end of the tarp, dragging it to the fishes's final resting place. I lead them to a large metal tub, it had been sitting out in the sun. It was probably hot enough to fry an egg, let alone a fish.

I dumped the fish into the tub and watched as they pathetically flopped about. I shivered and the stench alone was enough to make me gag. I sigh and wipe my sweaty brow with the back of my hand. God, glad that's over with.

I'm still immensely pissed that I have to pay off my father's debt. I have to fish to pay it off at that. AND I haven't been associated with the bastard since he left! Then whenever his irresponsible ass gets into trouble he comes crawling back and forces me to do his dirty work! And why am I complying??

I guess I'm scared.

What if he takes the house back?

What will happen after that? Where will I go?? I shakily sigh, anxiety curdling in my stomach like spoiled milk. I stroll over to my little garden, it wasn't much but I loved it. I put my whole heart into making sure each leaf, each petal, didn't go untended to. I squatted down closer to the flower's height. "Just when things were starting to get good, lil buddy."

"(Y/n)..?" My head snapped and I jolted at the voice, partially fearing it was my deadbeat dad. My racing heart calmed a bit when I saw the familiar face of my friend. I give a weak smile towards Cagney. "What're you doing? I just saw you fishing,, you despise fishing. W-what's goin' on?"

"Ohh—" I scratch the back of my neck, I could feel the sweat get scraped up under my nails. "About thaatt.." I fumbled with my words. "Dear Ol' Dad's back from gambling his life away, and making it his eldest (and only) kin's responsibility...hehrng.."

I could feel the vibe change from perplexity to something more anger filled. I could feel it in the air, see it in his facial expression, and hear it in the tone of his voice. "Is that so..." His voice softens in the next line, "Do you need any help?" Cagney's voice was filled with concern.

"Nah,, it's okay. I just finished anyways. Thank you though, Cagney. It's sweet of you to offer."

The day carried on like it would if my absent father wasn't present. As soon as he got home he passed out on the couch. I would like to also mention how much of a wreck the house had gotten since he came back. Granted I wasn't the most tidy person, but this was outrageous.

I had managed to clean up a bit while he was sleeping because god, I couldn't stand it. Later on, I went back to tending to my garden. It was the typical time I would normally take care of them, and I'm used to the routine. I had almost forgotten how my life was currently in shambles.

Almost.

"(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N) WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" I jumped and saw dad pointing towards the silver tub of fish, just beyond yonder.

"T-the fish from today??" What the hell was his damage? I did what he demanded.

"YOU DIDN'T CATCH NEARLY ENOUGH, WHAT? DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS GONNA MAKE ENOUGH TO PAY OFF MY DEBT? DO YOU REALLY WANT ME TO LOSE MY SOUL TO THE DEVIL? HUH, (Y/N)?" He interrogated me. He was degrading me, trying to guilt trip me. Playing the victim card, but even the devil himself knew he was god awful at card games.

I stood up. I was pissed.

"And you're acting like I care. You're acting like you haven't been gone for the past SEVEN years of my life. Sorry I don't care about the stupid family business. Sorry YOU screwed over YOUR life. Not mine, YOURS. If you want something done right, do it yourself. It's not my goddamn problem."

"What did ya just say to me?", his voice was low and dangerous. It was arsenic and I was merely foxglove.

"You heard them!", a voice backs me up. My eyes widen and I turn around, almost forgetting how angry I was. I look up and see Cagney looking almost as pissed as I am. Wonder how much he heard.

"And who might YOU be?"

Before I could say anything Cagney spoke, "Cagney Carnation, whatzzittoya?" He growled.

"He's a friend of mine—", I quickly explained. Not that it mattered, neither were paying attention. They were too busy glaring daggers at each other.

"I think this pansy needs to say out of other peoples business, don'tcha think?" I was getting murderous intent from Cagney. I grabbed his hand in attempt to tell him 'don't'. Being honest, it's a bit difficult to actually grab Cagney's hand. Mine was far too small to wrap around his, but it was still effective, methinks.

"I believe the well-being of my friend IS my business. And that you, as a father, should NOT be forcing your adult child to get you out of the grave you dug."

"I believe you should get off my property." I absolutely hated being caught in the middle of this.

"No Drew, you forfeit this place as soon as you were 6 feet under. And I suggest you get off MY property before you start poppin' up daisies."

He tried to retaliate but I didn't let him, "Leave. Now." His blood boiled and he marched up to me. I prepared for the worst. He looked to have hesitated, as he kicked the dirt ground in front of me and hastily left, muttering curses under his breath. The two of us watched him until he was a mere speck.

The adrenaline wore off and my heart dropped to my stomach. The reality hit me like a freight train. "Oh my god." Was all I could squeak out. I was at a loss for words. And like that, hot tears poured from the faucets of my eyes. I fell to my knees, I had never felt so weak before. My silent tears turned into choked sobs. I tightly grip onto my trousers. My head hung low and I violently shook. The raw emotion was too much for my small, restless form to handle. What the fuck had I done?

Cagney instantly panicked. He was never too good at handling other's emotions, let alone his own. Nevertheless, his sunshine needed him. He carefully scooped me up, sweetly shushing me as he did so. "Cmon doll, let's get you inside." He carried me inside and set me on the couch, he grabbed some nearby blankets and wrapped me in them. My sobs were hiccups at this point and I was gasping for air. Cagney grabbed my hand and rubbed it while going through some breathing exercises.

I clung tightly to him, not quite like a moth to a flame. This was sweet and comforting, something I needed. Perhaps a better example would be a bee to a flower. I mean he is a flower after all, maybe I can be his honeybee.

"I hate seeing you upset," he murmured.

"I know this all sucks.. but it'll be okay, especially since I have you, Cagney." My drained eyes were fighting the weight of sleep, but I still look up at Cagney, eyes with a glint of melancholy, and give him a bittersweet smile. "Promise I'll always have you?"

"Promise." Cagney squirmed a bit, not that he didn't mean his words. He meant everything, just as you mean everything to him. But you make him feel things like he hadn't before. You make his stomach flutter at your touch. Your smile. Your laughter. He felt so vulnerable around you. He wasn't sure how you got it, but you stole the key to his heart. His hold on you tightened, and by this point you had succumbed to sweet sleep.

Caphead and mugman were surprised to see an innocent flower until suddenly it turned into its true self.

You were the first to spot the flower and it blushed when it spotted you.

Cagney decided to hatch a plan to kidnap you and use you against cuphead.

You were really good with plants yet you couldn't identify cagneys type.

Cageny would kidnap you and try to scare you unfortunately he was super nervous when looking at you.

His face would go red alot.

Cagney would be super attached to you.

He would be protective over you.

He wouldn't stop thinking about you.

When cuphead came he tried to save you but you didn't let him destroy the flower since you cared for it too.

However there are a few ground rules I would like to establish first!

I’ll mainly do x reader or character x character

I’m alright with smut, but if you request it I may not get to writing it since I’m really iffy about what characters I’ll write with it

I will only write for the fandoms I am in or have been in. Depending on which one you request, it might take longer to get to depending on my current interest in said fandom

I can write both headcanons (scenarios? imagines? not sure what to call them honestly-) or one shots if you wish! Headcanons will be much faster for me to do and will be my default, however if you specifically want me to do a one-shot just tell me in your request!

I am so willing to write darker themes such as yandere and other various things falling into the horror genre, so don’t be scared to ask for it!

I can write character x character things as well! Can be platonic or romantic!

What's my scenario?

Well, I competed, wholeheartedly, in my office's Halloween costume contest this year... and I lost.

This. I was Withered Chica. How did this lose? Against a girl in a black lolita dress with platforms and a white mask with blood tears? Against an OC??

So, any comfort scenarios you can link me to? Or, if you're bolder, could someone write my scenario?

(warning; a bit whiny, which I try not to do, sorry)

I'm known by most as being a sweet, reserved, and devout worker; but also with a reputation for going all-out on dress-up days. Especially for Halloween. 🎃 I have for years.

Like always, I stayed up late and worked for weeks on my costume; compiling clothes & props and painting into the midnight hours. Was hard work, but it's always worth it when I step into my building and everyone flinches. My colleagues said I was a shoo-in to win Scariest Costume. In the office & out in the parade, I walked robotically everywhere. I had a sound box tucked away so I could make her groans & jumpscare noises. And mind you, I live in Florida! ☀️ I did all this, without eating anything after a light breakfast, and barely sipping any water through my under-mask's mouth slots. (Yes I had a 2nd mask on, of Nightmare Chica, for its second row of teeth!) But I didn't complain about it. I relished in it~

It's a personal thrill of mine. Performing in costume, either using my hip-long hair or hiding it in a net, especially to scare. ^^ I scare because I care, lol. (Monsters Inc/University scenarios are great too)

This time, I thought I had it in the bag. For years, the judges wouldn't choose me because my costumes, while very scary to my coworkers, were too obscure for the judges. I thought, surely, Chica would be scary *and* recognizable. And some of them did know what I was from. But alas~ 💔

I went back to my office desk sad, tearing up behind my mask. No one in my office has ever seen me cry, and thanks to my double mask, no one would. Several of them gave me sympathies, which I appreciated, but I kept my thanks short. I'm the nice level-headed trainer, and yes, there have been close moments before, but they couldn't see me like this. It was foolish to cry, I know, but I was hurt, and I never make a fuss or ask for anything. I just wanted.. Thankfully, everyone was excused to leave work early if they wished. So, I took my time peeling off my costume in the restroom as most everyone left. To the few left behind, I tried to excuse my flushed face and shiny eyes on the 1pm high hot sun. I stuck around just a little more, to finish a job. A half hour later, I was the 2nd to last one out. Drove home, listening to my Toon Patrol & The Duke playlists. Once home, I got myself a poké dinner, chugged bottles of water, took a pill for my aching head, and retired for a nap. X3 Imagining comfort scenarios, and passed out in minutes.

So, after all that, if I could be linked to a comfort fic for my situation, 😌 it would be much appreciated. Yes, I'm feeling better, but it'd still be nice, ya know? 👏 And I do enjoy reading new x reader scenarios.

Cagney with a soft, sweet, touch starved s/o. They try to hide it / come up with excuses when they get easily flustered but it's prettyobvious

A/N: I wasn’t quite sure if you wanted hcs or a drabble, dear anon, so I went with the former. If you’d ever like me to redo them or if you actually wanted the latter, be sure to let me know!

Cagney w/ a touch-starved s/o hcs:

Cagney had discovered your proclivity for touching him very early on when the two of you started dating. He had noticed the small gasps and the gentle shivers that wracked your body when he accidentally brushed against you; and he felt a pang of sympathy rise within him each time you held your head in your hands, desperate to will away the pink dusting your cheeks.

Prickly as he may be, Cagney never brings any attention toward your need for skinship. Whenever he heard your voice quaver and watched how you quickly avoided his gaze, he figured you'd die from embarrassment if he did.

The other part of him, selfish and greedy, feared that you would stop.

Beneath the thorns and sardonic drawl lies a man who had thought he was happy with isolation until he had met you. Not only were you unafraid of him, but you happily craved his embrace-- thorns and all.

So, like vines desperate for sunlight, the Carnation let your fumbled excuses slide. And by heavens, did that come in abundance: shyly grasping his hand when out in public (“I-I just don’t want us getting separated!”), huddling close to him during cuddle sessions (“You looked cold, so...ah…”), asking him to “examine” any stray hairs you may have (“Y-you’re a lot more thorough than I am..”), etc.

And though you may fear that this song and dance was cowardly of you, Cagney was just as guilty (though he had prayed to every deity that you never noticed). The carnation yearns for you to touch just the same-- even before your relationship blossomed.

He was a lot more subtle, but anyone familiar with the man could spot it from a mile away. The way he leans against your shoulder to “better examine” what you’re showing him, how he lightly grabs your shoulder to reach past you, etc. And if it wasn’t already obvious enough, the carnation shoots a withering glare at anyone who comments on it.

Of course, the teasing looks of Hilda and Goopy weren’t completely unwarranted. Any little hint you shoot his way, Cagney eagerly takes like an overgrown flower puppy. (No he isn't whipped, goddamnit. Stop saying that, Hilda.)

You like spending time with your grumpyflower, he’s always a surprise and his reactions are always very entertaining.

He does not like to show his affectionin front of people because it’s embarrassing, he does not want to be judgedeven if it makes no sense because nobody judges him but he’s just shy.

When Cagney is tired, stressed or evensad you like hugging him, caressing his petals and seeing how his face turns red,he forgets about his negative thoughts, and new feelings of embarrassment takeplace in his heart. A frustration for another and so he’s more confused but, atleast, you are gentle and sweet, he can’t kick you out.

Sometimes, you ask him to relax in yourlap, even if he’s bigger than you but he’s also very light because he’s aflower and he can’t be so heavy. He places his head on your lap and you cuddlehim as if he was a little child.

You sing to him a sweet lullaby, tellinghim that everything is fine, he has nothing to fear and he’s safe and soundwith you.

He falls asleep on your lap, he feelslike in paradise, and he forgets about his sorrow.

Headcanon Summer Edition #5

FANDOM: Cuphead don’t deal with the Devil~

CHARACTERS: Cagney Carnation & Hilda Berg ~

🌼~ CAGNEY :

Summer is his second favourite season, after Spring, especially when it’s not too hot. You know, when the temperature is too high there is the risk of wildfire and plants dried because of the arid climate and it’s something Cagney fears. He usually during summer takes a lot of care of his plants, since they are like his children and so he gives to them all the attention of the world.

It seems, you want to go on vacation and he has no idea, he’s still a plant and, even if he is a monster plant, he does not like travelling. He’s a settled plant and not a nomad and so he’d prefer to stay here in his comfortable forest.

No, he does not even like the sea, he’s not a seaweed and he finds sea- water disgusting, and so he passes. Then beaches are too noisy for him, there are children, teenagers and people. Ah, too many people for his taste. Sometimes he’s very misanthrope and he cannot tolerate people in general or any other breathing creature.

The best holiday for him would be a great trip through the nature, maybe the mountain is the greatest idea. It is calm, relaxing and healthy, it’s wonderful for him. He’s surrounded by the nature. Of course, not a snow covered mountain because he hates snow but the camping is very funny, it’s something new for him. It’s like an adventure in the jungle and he feels comfortable as long as he stays in his nature, with his plant friends.

Even a fresh trip on the lake can be awesome, he really likes it, and you’ll like it too. He does not want to stay in the city, even if his home in Inkwell is in the forest, that place is still very populated and he does not want to see anybody, he just wants to stay with you in peace. He wants to forget about his job, problems and the annoying people.

Cagney often is taken by rage attacks, sometimes he’s unable to control his rage and so a relaxing place completely abandoned is the right holiday for him. Life is very stressing and he needs to find his mental peace.  

🚁 ~ HILDA :

She works so hard, every single day with no stop. You wonder how she has not become crazy yet because her style of life is too stressful and so you decide to organize a vacation for the two of you. You won’t accept a no like answer and you don’t care if she has job to do. She must take a rest. Everybody needs a vacation. How can she work well with all that stress? It’s impossible and she’s not a robot.

Hilda likes calm places too, she does not like the beach and she cannot swim. She is a creature of the sky and not of the sea but you decide to organize something different and you know she’ll appreciate it a lot.

You organize a spa vacation, because the spa is the perfect place to relax. There she can find her lost peace and reborn. It’s like a paradise, it’s like all your problems are washed away. Sometimes you saw her reading some tourism magazine and she seemed interested in one of those centres but she has never told you. This is a surprise she did not expected.

For a hard worker like her, it’s the perfect vacation and so she can start her working days with a new sprint. It’s the first vacation she makes after a long time and she’s happy you have been the one to donate it to her. She’s quite shy, but her gratitude is sincere and big. What would she do without you? She’d be lost.
