Mentioned in this post, Rutimala was the Gerudo chieftain prior to Ganondorf's ascent to the throne. She is hailed as a Heroine of Endurance, not THE Heroine but is regarded as capable and affluent in this power.

Lady Rutimala Dragmire is matrilineally the chieftain. Her mother was Saranne, daughter of Koati, daughter of the previous king, Naboris. Rutimala has one sister, Pani, who fled the desert as a young teen and was never seen again.

Her grandmother, Koati, is related to Kotake and Koume. The witches tutored Rutimala in the arts of magic and diplomacy. Rutimala is highly skilled in lightning magic and concentrating this lightning into beams, orbs, and towering shields. She is proficient with the sword and loves Molduga hunting. She is equally endeared to shield making and talisman crafting.

The role of the Gerudo chieftain is by blood but also by merit - the fitness of someone's ability to lead can be challenged by another and trials of physical, emotional, intellectual, strategic, and magical strength are held to see who is fit. Rutimala challenged her mother's rule and usurped the throne.

Rutimala had relations with one Lurelin Hylian man, named Efste. Through him, Rutimala had her first two children: Dahri and Pashato. She stopped seeing him consistently as tensions with Hyrule escalated. Like many Gerudo mothers and chieftains, her escapades on the battle field did not stop at the prospect of being with child, bearing children, or rearing children.

Her second partner, another Hylian, was a member of Queen Zirda and King Rhoam's court, Captain Calateous. Calateous and Rutimala met on one of her diplomatic missions to Hyrule and their one-time affair led to her being pregnant and eventually having the next king, her third child and son, Ganondorf.

Rutimala's best friend was Palu, the Gerudo Va'Qai - or spiritual leader/head priestess. Palu, like her daughter soon would, fought constantly with Kotake and Koume and eventually put a wedge between the two witches and Rutimala in decision making processes.

The chieftain raised her children attentively and lovingly, holding the three of them to high, terse standards and shielding them well from the prying eyes of her people. She spent intentional time with them all, raised them in all she knew, and encouraged their natural talents.

Though she loved her daughters, Rutimala had a special spot for her son. Knowing he was to be king regardless of his birth order, she took special care to teach him diplomacy, languages, and a variety of arts: dancing, music, weapon making, storytelling, and star mapping.

She assigns Dahri to be the royal architect and Pasahto to captain of the royal guard.

Rutimala is one of the few who was densely skeptical about Riar'svah's presence in the Gerudo royal palace, wary about her potential sage-hood and isolated upbringing in the Spirit Temple in the Highlands. She forbade the Va'Qai from diplomatic meetings, war planning, and the innermost of the palace. Ganondorf would later undo these decrees.

Her diplomatic missions to Hyrule continued for some time, littered with skirmishes and battles in-between. Rutimala strongly disliked Queen Zirda, increasingly so after the Queen's proclamation that the Demon King has been born amidst the Gerudo. Rutimala counters pushes for a unified Hyrule and addresses their steady trade as being good enough.

As Hylian soldiers press closer to the desert borders, even bothering/harassing/attacking/pillaging some Gerudo wanderers, Molduga hunting parties, border patrols, and pilgrimages to the Spirit Temple, Rutimala declares Gerudo a hostile nation to Hyrule.

Escalation led to war. Rutimala is killed in a battle in the borderlands. She is fatally wounded by Zirda and dies in the rush back to the Gerudo fortress. Her death leds Ganondorf to being crowned king and for he, his two sisters, and the entire Gerudo Empire to declare a vindictive war on Hyrule.

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ Gerudo Coronations | First Blood 𖤓 ⋆⁺₊⋆

Based on/inspired by this post - Gerudo coronations are for kings or chieftains. There are no regents in Gerudo governance and only those of the matrilineal line, successful challengers, or a male can be crowned. However, there are two exceptions:

In the case of twins, the throne is left vacant and the twins rule together. This applies to both vai and voe, based off the legend of the Twin Kings.

If the current ruler is killed and an emergency ruler is placed in charge. This ruler must be approved in a unanimous vote by the Gerudo council, a rapidly formed council of governance made of: siblings of the leader, leader's spouse and/or children, the elder witches, the va'qai, the captian of the royal guard, the royal architect, and one citizen

Ganondorf is crowned king after Rutimala's death. Mourning of a leader cannot begin until a new one is crowned.

Gerudo custom states that the end of a leaders coronation is to shed their own blood, usually on a ceremonial scimitar. This is a sign of fidelity and a promise of sacrifice and loyalty unto death for the Gerudo people. The blood of the ruler is then smeared onto the statues of the Heroines and Sand Goddess as a prayer for protection over their life.

Gerudo coronations are eight days long - consisting of feasts, observances of vigils, pilgrimages to the Spirit Temple, and tests for the leader. Each day is dedicated to a Heroine's trait and the last day is for the unification between the king/chieftain with the Sand Goddess so that the ruler can receive their divinity (think Egyptian Pharaoh)

Skill - the leader must hunt and kill a Molduga, leading a party or not. The Molduga is harvested and used to make the leader's new armor, cook meals, and provide a special oil for candles and fire. Weapons are polished and all meat is processed on this day.

Spirit - Spirit Temple pilgrimage. The Gerudo people pray and bless their new leader with gifts of food, gems, dyes, and fabrics. Fervent prayer, blessing of children in the new era, and greenery is collected and the fortress is decorated in rich flora and greenery.

Endurance - The leader holds a 24 hour vigil and fast, seated on the steps leading to the palace. The Gerudo people spend all day cooking, cleaning, and preparing their homes for a night of vigil where chants, songs, and music are preformed.

Knowledge - The leader is finally permitted to sit on the throne and begin delegating and mapping out their plan of leadership. On this day, the history of the Gerudo is orally shared across the empire. Facades, graves, mosaics, statues, altars, and temples are cleaned thoroughly and tended to.

Flight - the royal palace is fervently cleaned out, reorganized, and decorated with new tapestries, plants, gems, and metallurgy. Gerudo will sleep with windows unbarred or uncovered to let wind in and the wind catchers of the city are opened fully. It is seen as cooling off the town in preparation for...

Motion - A large fireside feast for the empire is held, paired with music, dancing, and feats of magic. The leader makes a grand social appearance and declares sisterhood/brotherhood with their people. They sit, feast, dance, play songs, and sing alongside their people as if they were a commoner.

Gentleness - A day of rest. The leader sits on the throne and the Empire sits in gentle silence, with little work to be done. Mourning starts today for the previous leader if they have died.

The Day of the Sand Goddess - This is the day the leader slashes their palm before the Gerudo people and receives the golden, unique crown/tiara that sits on their head, often woven into their hair. The leader is finally allowed to wear black, the color of royalty, and their hair is cut short, signifying the start of their growth as leader. The leader will then spend the night in prayer, vigil, and fast at the Spirit Temple alone.

In Shaivism, Shiva is regarded to be Para Brahman, especially in his form of Parashiva, the supreme form of Shiva. According to the Shiva Purana, Shiva is described to be the only deity to possess both nirguna and saguna attributes, causing him to be the only one worthy of the epithet Ishvara.

5 Shiva Mantras for Pleasing Shiva

1. The Mool (Main) Mantra of Lord Shiva is a five syllable mantra, known as panchakshri mantra. It is believed that the chanters are bowing to themselves, as the Lord Shiva is considered as the ultimate reality. “OM Namah Shivaya” Meaning: I bow to Shiva.

2. Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is the greatest Mantra for Lord Shiva found in Rig Veda. “OM. Tryambakam yajamahe Sugandhim pushti-vardhanam Urvarukamiva bandhanan Mrityor mukshiya mamritat”

3. Shree Shiva- Parvati Stuti is the mantra which praises Lord with his consort Parvati. “Karpoor Gauram Karunnaavataram Sansaar Saaram Bhujgendra Haaram. Sadaa Vasantam Hridyaarvrinde Bhavam Bhavaani Sahitam Namaami” Meaning: I Bow to Bhavani as well as to Lord Shiva who is white as camphor, who is compassion incarnate, who is the essence of the world, who wears a garland of a large snake and who always dwells in the lotus-like hearts of his devotees.

4a. Shree Rudraashtak Stotram is the eight fold hymn recited by Brahma to please Shiva. This mantra can be used by anyone to get the blessing from the Lord Shiva. “Namaam-Iisham-Iishaana Nirvaanna-Ruupam Vibhum Vyaapakam Brahma-Veda-Svaruupam Nijam Nirgunnam Nirvikalpam Niriiham Cidaakaasham-Aakaasha-Vaasam Bhaje-[A]ham” Meaning: I Salute the Lord Ishana. It is the Form that represents the state of the highest Nirvana. This is the form that manifests the essence He is pervading everywhere and The Lord embodies the Highest Knowledge of Brahman present in the core of the Vedas. He who remains absorbed in His own self which is beyond the three Gunas. Beyond any change and Manifoldness, and which is free from any movement. I worship Ishana, who abides in the spiritual sky.

4b. “Niraakaaram-Ongkara-Muulam Turiiyam Giraa-Jnyaana-Go-[A]tiitam-Iisham Giriisham Karaalam Mahaakaala-Kaalam Krpaalam Gunna-[A]agaara-Samsaara-Paaram Nato-[A]ham” Meaning: I bow to the supreme Lord who is the formless source of “OM” The Self of All, transcending all conditions and states. Beyond speech, He understands the sense perception. Awe-full, but gracious, the ruler of Kailash, Devourer of Death, the immortal abode of all virtues.

4c. “Tussaara-Adri-Samkaasha-Gauram Gabhiram Mano-Bhuuta-Kotti-Prabhaa-Shrii Shariiram Sphuran-Mauli-Kallolinii Caaru-Ganggaa Lasad-Bhaala-Baale[a-I]ndu Kanntthe Bhujanggaa” Meaning: I offer salutations to Sri Rudra, Who is shining white resembling a mountain of snow; and He resides deep in the mind in Millions of Rays of Splendor, which expresses His Auspicious Body. Over whose Head, the Beautiful Ganga Throbs and Surges forth towards the Worlds. The newly risen moon shines in His forehead spreading its rays and His Neck adorns the beautiful Serpents.

4d. “Calat-Kunnddalam Bhruu-Sunetram Vishaalam Prasanna-[A]ananam Niila-Kannttham Dayaalam Mrga-Adhiisha-Carma-Ambaram Munndda-Maalam Priyam Shangkaram Sarva-Naatham Bhajaami” Meaning: The beloved Lord of All, with shimmering pendants hanging from his ears, Beautiful eyebrows and large eyes, Full of Mercy with a cheerful countenance and a blue speck on his throat. I Worship Him Who is Beloved of His Devotees, Who is Shankara, the Lord of All.

4e. “Pracannddam Prakrssttam Pragalbham Pare[a-Ii]sham Akhannddam Ajam Bhaanu-Kotti-Prakaasham Tryah-Shuula-Nirmuulanam Shuula-Paannim Bhaje[a-A]ham Bhavaanii-Patim Bhaava-Gamyam” Meaning: I worship Shankara, Bhavani’s husband. I owe to the fierce, exalted, luminous and the supreme Lord Shiva. Indivisible, unborn and radiant with the glory of a million suns; Who, holding a trident, tears out the root of the three-fold suffering, And who is reached only through Love.

4f. “Kalaatiita-Kalyaanna Kalpa-Anta-Kaarii Sadaa Sajjana-[A]ananda-Daataa Pura-Arii Cid-Aananda-Samdoha Moha-Apahaarii Prasiida Prasiida Prabho Manmatha-Arii” Meaning: Salutations to Sri Rudra, Whose Auspicious Nature are Beyond the Elements of the gross material world, and He who Brings an end to the cycle of creation when all gross elements are dissolved. He is the one who always gives to the wise men and is the destroyer of Adharma. By Taking Away the Great Delusion, He plunges the prepared Soul in the Fullness of Cidananda (the Bliss of Brahman or Pure Consciousness). O, the signifying Destroyer of Manmatha; Please be Gracious to me; Please be Gracious to me, O Lord.

4g. “Na Yaavad Umaa-Naatha-Paada-Aravindam Bhajanti-Iha Loke Pare Vaa Naraannaam Na Taavat-Sukham Shaanti Santaapa-Naasham Prasiida Prabho Sarva-Bhuuta-Adhi-Vaasam” Meaning: Oh Lord of Uma, so long as you are not worshiped, there is no happiness, peace or freedom from suffering in this world or the next. You who dwell in the hearts of all living beings, and in whom all beings have their existence, Have mercy on me, Lord.

4h. “Na Jaanaami Yogam Japam Naiva Puujaam Natoham Sadaa Sarvadaa Shambhu-Tubhyam Jaraa-Janma-Duhkhau-[A]gha Taatapyamaanam Prabho Paahi Aapanna-Maam-Iisha Shambho” Meaning: O my lord, I do Not Know how to perform Yoga, Japa or Puja. I always at All Times only Bow down to You, O Shambhu. Please protect me from the Sorrows of Birth and Old Age, as well as from the sins which lead to Sufferings. Please protect me O Lord from Afflictions; protect me O My Lord Shambhu.

5a. “Brahma Muraari Surarchita Lingam Nirmala Bhaashita Sobhitha Lingam Janmaja Dhukha Vinaasaha Lingam Tatpranamaami Sadaashiva Lingam” Meaning: I bow before that Sada Shiva Lingam, which is worshiped by Brahma, Vishnu and other Gods. It is pure and resplendent, and destroys sorrows arising out of birth and death.

5b. “Devamuni Pravaraarchita Lingam Kaama Dahana Karunaakara Lingam Ravana Darpa Vinaasaha Lingam Tatpranamaami Sadaashiva Lingam” Meaning: I bow before that Sada Shiva Lingam, which is worshiped by great sages and devas (God). He is the destroyer of Kama, Linga, the compassionate, and which destroyed the pride of Ravana.

5c. “Sarva Sugandha Sulepitha Lingam Buddhi Vivaardhana Kaarana Lingam Siddha Suraasura Vandhitha Lingam Tatpranamaami Sadaashiva Lingam” Meaning: I bow before that Sada Shiva Lingam, which is well anointed with all fragrances, leads to the growth of wisdom. It is worshiped by sages, devas and asuras (Demons).

5d. “Kanaga Mahaamani Bhooshitha Lingam Panipati Veshthitha Sobitha Lingam Daksha Suyajna Vinaasana Lingam Tatpranamaami Sadaashiva Lingam” Meaning: I salute that Eternal Shiva Lingam, Which is decorated with Gold and other Precious Gems, which is adorned with the Best of the Serpents Wrapped around it, and which destroyed the Grand Sacrifice of Daksha. I Salute that Eternal Shiva Lingam.

5e. “Kunkuma Chandhana Lehpitha Lingam Pankaja Haara Susobhitha Lingam Devaganarchita sevita lingam bhavairbhaktirevacha lingam Dinakarakoti prabhakara lingam tatpranamami sadasivalingam” Meaning: I salute that Eternal Shiva Lingam Which is anointed with Saffron and Sandal Paste, which is Beautifully Decorated with Garlands of Lotuses, and which destroys the accumulated Sins. I Salute that Eternal Shiva Lingam.

5f. “Astadalopari vestithalingam sarvasmudva karanalingam Astadaridra vinasana lingam tatpranamami sadasivalingam Suruguru suravara poojita lingam surapushpa sadarchita lingam Paramapadam paramatmakalingam tatpranamami sadasivalingam” Meaning: I bow before that Sada Shiva Lingam, Which is enveloped with eight-fold petals, which is the cause of all creation, and which destroys eight types of poverty. I Salute that Eternal Shiva Lingam Which is Worshiped by the Preceptor of Gods and the Best of the Gods, which is Always Worshiped by the Flowers from the Celestial Garden, Which is Superior to the Best and which is the Greatest. I Salute that Eternal Shiva Linga.

IL SOLARE SUPERA PER LA PRIMA VOLTA IL CARBONE IN EUROPA

Nel 2024 l’energia solare ha prodotto l’11% dell’elettricità dell’Unione Europea, superando per la prima volta la produzione di elettricità da carbone, al 10%. L’elettricità prodotta dal gas nell’UE è diminuita per il quinto anno consecutivo e la generazione di elettricità da fonti fossili è scesa al minimo storico.

Il settore elettrico dell’UE sta vivendo una profonda trasformazione che coinvolge anche il settore l’eolico che, con un peso del 17%, ha generato più elettricità del gas (16%). Le energie rinnovabili sono aumentate dal 34% nel 2019 al 47% nel 2024, mentre la quota dei combustibili fossili è scesa dal 39% al minimo storico del 29%. In forte aumento anche la produzione idroelettrica mentre l’energia solare è rimasta la fonte energetica in più rapida crescita nell’UE. Solo cinque anni fa, i combustibili fossili fornivano il 39% dell’elettricità dell’UE e le fonti rinnovabili il 34%.

In Italia la produzione da solare fotovoltaico ha raggiunto un massimo storico del 14% nel 2024 mentre le fonti fossili sono calate al 51% del mix di generazione del Paese, un minimo storico, con una quota marginale del 2% dell’elettricità prodotta con il carbone. Nei cinque anni di Green Deal europeo, l’impennata nella produzione di energia eolica e solare è la ragione principale del declino della produzione di energia fossile. Senza la capacità eolica e solare aggiunta dal 2019, l’UE avrebbe dovuto importare gas fossile e carbone fossile con un costo aggiuntivo di 59 miliardi di euro che invece sono stati risparmiati.
