You're so right big cleanup arc is SO GOOD they just can't appreciate Ritsu's 13-year-old swag 😔 (literally the most realistic depiction of middle schoolers I've ever seen I was like that in middle school)
RIGHT.... I see people making fun of that arc and Ritsu so much, and I know it's probably supposed to be all in good fun, but the results of that poll and general lack of understanding I see of that arc don't help my feelings on this..... like. I know people are allowed to not share my opinions and not like things but 😭
Like. Yes, Ritsu is dramatic in that arc. Yes, he breaks down over relatively small things. Yes, he beats people up seemingly out of nowhere. And yes, taken out of context.... I see how that's funny to talk about. But... it just saddens me. That that's most of the discussion I see of that arc. Just about how feral Ritsu was, how violent, how nonsensical, how funny it all is..... where's all the actual metas about it huh??? I wanna talk about it.
I wanna talk about how fucking stressed Ritsu was, even up until that point. About how it wasn't just framing those kids that broke him. He's been bottling all his feelings up for years. He's been maintaining that perfect image for years. He didn't even have anyone to talk to about it, like mob had Reigen - he had noone. He was simply the good kid, the smart kid, the helpful, kind brother, the one who never caused any trouble. Do you know how much fucking pressure that is? Do you know how lonely he must have felt? Not to even mention the added deathly fear of Mob, who he had to prepare for exploding every single day. Who he never knew when he could hurt him again. His big brother, who he loved so dearly. Who almost killed him. Who he had to develop placating tactics to try not to aggravate further. This kid is legit traumatized. He has issues. He had noone to help him with it. He was fucking alone. I don't actually think it's that extreme or nonsensical that he snapped.... I really don't.
As for the beating people up while monolouging thing.... I've mentioned it before, but I've never really went in depth with it I think - but I really fucking love how Ritsu kind of.... leans into this role of the villain once he realizes he's escaped the image of the good kid. He's never really had the chance to develop morality and ethics on a more realistic scale - cause he never really had true relationships to develop those senses. He simply... doesn't do well at people stuff. At being a normal kid. He can only emulate what he thinks people expect him to be - what will lead him to being the safest he can be. For a long time, that was the good, smart brother status. It kept his parents happy. It kept his brother happy. It kept his teachers happy. But what happens when he's suddenly not that? What happens when he has a chance to be something else? He can't just become himself. He doesn't know who he is. All he knows is that he's suddenly doing bad things, for seemingly no reason. He doesn't fully understand those reasons himself. "Even I..." he says. He says as he contemplates how even as someone as smart as him can be so petty, how even someone as weak as him can suddenly become powerful, how even someone so messed up as him can be forgiven.
That mask of a villain is what he puts on because he thinks it will finally give him what he has sought after all this time - power. Power to protect himself. Power to not be so afraid anymore. But also.... that shedding those concepts of social norms, of bonds, of caring about others, will give him the freedom that he so sorely lacks. That's what he's felt the most of all - this.... stifling sense of responsibility. This responsibility that he has put on to please others, to not be hurt. So what if he just.... doesn't care about it anymore? Did he ever even care? What if he never cared about others at all, what if he never cared about his brother at all? What if it was all just... fear? Fear that he can shed now, now that he can protect himself? He wants to be free. He so badly wants to not be scared anymore.
And he thinks he achieved that. He finally achieved 'loss'. He can do what he pleases now. Noone can tell him what to do anymore.
....hey. Don't you think that kind of sounds like someone? Someone... made of shadows, white eyes, someone who's felt that same suppression for the same amount of years? :)
I really, really think Ritsu and Mob aren't that different. It's just that their power levels are different, and... Ritsu kind of came to that breaking point a lot sooner than Mob, on virtue of having noone to rely on. Of course, they are still vastly different people, but.... it's not a coincidence, that Ritsu was the first to understand who ???% is.
So I just think it's kinda weird, how many people just. Seem to not understand Ritsu? Or take Mob seriously, while only ever making fun of Ritsu? Of course not all people do that, and I know a lot of people poke fun at him out of love (me also, sometimes), but I've heard so many people admit that they don't understand the big clean up arc, or Ritsu's character, or simply don't care to look too deep into it. When I look up mp100 essays on youtube, that arc and Ritsu's character, is the one most often grossly misinterpreted. And I just find that sad. And it's part of the reason for my strong feelings for this, I guess.
In the end, Ritsu is just a young, confused kid, one who's lived in fear for so long he forgot what life looks outside of it, one who stifled himself for years, one who felt the need to put himself into boxes because everything was just suddenly so bad and so complicated and he couldn't make sense of it on his own. What 13 year old could? What traumatized 13 year old honors student wouldn't act irrationally when presented with otherwordly powers? Is there even a healthy way one could be expected to react to all of this?
I could go on... I could talk about how he develops past that, about his words to Shimazaki during the world domination arc on what he wants is a 'fun life', about his relationship to Shou, about how I think Ritsu will struggle to choose his future, about how he and Mob grow beyond the series... but this was supposed to be about the big clean up arc, so I'll end it at that. I don't think I explained my thoughts the best I could, Ritsu is just a little bug in my brain that buzzes and buzzes and never quite leaves and idk how to put it all into coherence, but... yes. That's my answer to this ask, I guess lmao. I have to go load the dishwasher now o7
P.s. I hope noone gets any hard feelings over my dramatics btw. I am simply a creature that gets way too passionate about some fictional characters.... and Ritsu happens to be one of them u_u and I hope this big old ramble of mine made some sense jdhhdhd

Round 5 (main finals): Chara Dreemurr (Undertale) vs. Amane Momose (MILGRAM)
Tumblr media
Propaganda below the cut
Chara Dreemurr (?):
They were constantly blamed for killing all of monster kind in the no mercy route, despite players choosing to go that route. People ignored that they sacrificed themselves to attempt to free the monsters from the underground.
----
everyone wants to blame their own actions (genocide route) on chara, who is a literal child. i don’t know how to tell you this but you are the one playing the game. it’s about YOUR CHOICES. chara is there is punish you for that, you killed the only family that ever loved them! how could they not be upset at that! also if you don’t mind, here’s a good video essay on the subject
youtube
Amane Momose (12):
Amane was voted guilty in the first trial so that she would acknowledge her guilt. It backfired, and now she’s considered a threat. Well, everyone is a threat, but nobody’s threat level has been as heavily discussed and debated as hers. Consider the next prisoner in line, Mikoto. He’s objectively more dangerous and cannot be restrained. He beat up the guard in trial 1, and he was able to hold his own when the other guilty prisoners were attacked. But a good incentive to forgive him is so that he will calm down. You know what? That’s a good incentive to forgive Amane too! But she *can* be restrained, so a good portion of the discussion went into how she should be voted guilty so she *will* be restrained and not a threat. Since her vote was a near 50/50, of course a good chunk of the voters expressed dissatisfaction with her forgiven verdict. Some are already planning to vote her guilty for trial 3, calling her a “lost cause”. She hasn’t even done any concrete harm yet. Hold the pitchforks until she actually causes harm, please? And what if she *was* voted guilty in trial 2? We’ve been warned that she will continue to deny our judgement. A second guilty verdict won’t make her better either, and then what? She’d be called a “lost cause” as well. There is no winning with her.
----
Where do I even start? So first of all she’s an cult child who was physically and mentally abused and tortured by her parents and then (presumably) murdered her mother after her mother killed a cat that she took care of.
Now everyone in Milgram is a murderer but when Amane came and her MV showed her murder and circumstance in an admittedly highly fictionalized depiction of it the audience decided to…repeat the cycle of abuse!
She was voted guilty for the main reason of “teaching her” and helping her “realize that she was abused.” I would like to note that this tough love approach is something her parents utilized against her. “We are only doing this to help you.”
So the audience replicates Amane’s abusers and repeats the cycle of abuse and that’s pretty shitty but it isn’t exactly “Fuck Em Kids” level.
And then Trial 2 happened. Cause Amane is bitter and angry and horrifically traumatized so she acts aggressive and hostile. Especially towards another prisoner.
Now, again, everyone here is a fucking murderer (of atleast could be constructed as one) These people being able to Harm is a core concept of this series.
Yet for some reason it feels like people treat Amane as a “delusional creepy kid who wants to kill people” which completly takes away the nuance of her character. She does have the capacity to harm! Everyone here does! She’s not Uniquly Dangerous! She just has a Reason to be Dangerous. A Reason we GAVE HER by REPEATING THE CYCLE OF ABUSE.
In short: In a series full of Murderers I’m honestly a bit pissed that the 12 year old abuse victim is the one who’s treated like the guy from American Pyscho.
----
TL;DR: "We metavoted this abused, indoctrinated child guilty in trial 1, but it didn't work. Now she is a threat to three grown adults: one who is fully free and two whom she has been shown to get along with. Please metavote her guilty again so she will be restrained and unable to attack them, even though that means subjecting her to further psychological torture." Amane Momose is the youngest of ten murderers, prisoners of Milgram who are to be judged innocent (forgiven) or guilty (unforgiven). In the first interrogation (voice drama), she said that what she did was in line with her religion's doctrines. If we judged her the "wrong way", she said she will just deny the verdict. Combining the voice drama and music video, you could piece together that she was raised in a cult and abused, even though she is cheerful and downplays her pain. She never shows *who* she killed, only *why* she did. After the first day of her vote, she was 81% innocent, but this wouldn't last the whole three months. Many people voted her guilty so she would "see her sins", part of the practice commonly known as "metavoting". Her innocent percentage rapidly decreased, and she hit guilty in the last 15 days, finishing at 51% guilty. At the end of the first trial, Jackalope (who is something like a host) went over all the prisoners' verdicts and commented on the general reasoning. When he got to Amane, he *laughed* at the audience for voting that way to make her realize her sins. Trial 2 rolled around, and it was revealed that Amane's victim was her abuser. On day one, she was at 74% innocent. Seems like a cut-and-dry case now, right? Well... in the intermission, two of the prisoners (Fuuta and Mahiru) were badly beaten up and became reliant on the care of Shidou, a doctor. Amane became hostile to Shidou because what he was doing was against her beliefs. She visited all three of them on their birthdays to convince them to change their ways. She seems to be especially close to Fuuta, who is now murmuring about salvation. Guilty prisoners are psychologically tortured, forced to listen to voices that reject their beliefs. Fuuta and Mahiru both say that the mental strain is worse than their physical injuries. But Amane, who also looks worse for wear, was thrown under the bus because she isn't injured and is considered a physical threat to them (never mind that she gets along with them). She's considered a threat to Shidou, a grown man who is twice her size and fully free, while she is partially restricted by the long sleeves in her trial 2 uniform. She might indoctrinate Fuuta even though, in a prison of ten people and one guard, she's the only voice of her cult. Fortunately, she got a break. Her vote was falling at a similar rate to the first trial. But this time, it stabilized at 51% innocent, 12 days before the end of her vote. But there's no way this is over.

The Bond Between Us ~ Reunited
THE BOND BETWEEN US MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3,055ish
Summary: Reunions are had in the Force afterlife.
Notes: This one-shot is mainly from Anakin's point of view. I thought it would be a nice change. It did get away from me a bit so I hope that it's not too terrible. (This is a one-shot for my series The Bond Between Us. I do not suggest reading this if you haven't read the series yet.)
Tumblr media
Anakin hated how helpless he was—especially since he had put himself in this position. You and Luke were both weak yourselves but were still dragging him along through the rushing Stormtroopers and Imperial Officers, and into the hangar. No one paid any mind to what was happening though, too concerned with getting themselves to safety.
The Imperial shuttle came into view, with the ramp already down and ready to be loaded. Anakin could sense that neither you nor Luke could last much longer carrying him. That was confirmed when you collapsed at the bottom of the ramp. Luke gently set his father down beside you.
“Luke,” Anakin called in a broken whisper, “help me take this mask off."
“No!” You said, moving to kneel beside Anakin.
“But you’ll die,” Luke argued.
“Nothing can stop that now,” Anakin replied. “Just for once… let me look at you with my own eyes… let me see my sister, one last time.”
That’s all Anakin wanted before he died, to see you and Luke with his own eyes. There were so many thoughts running through his mind, like if he was going to be allowed to become one with the Force or if he would ever be forgiven for what he’d done. Seeing you and Luke with his own eyes would help his mind slow down.
Hesitantly, Luke helped remove the Vader mask from Anakin’s face. Tears fell down your face as you saw your brother’s scars and eyes after all these years. They were no longer gold. His eyes flick over to yours.
“I’m sorry… sis…” He struggled to say. “For everything…”
“Ssshhh,” you try to shush and comfort him through your tears. “It’s alright… All is forgiven.”
Anakin couldn’t accept that. There was no way that you could forgive him, especially since he killed Obi-Wan.
“I killed… I killed… Obi-Wan… so you… would feel… my… pain… I’ve caused you… so much… pain…”
“It’s alright, Anakin. It’s alright…” Your breath quivered as you inhaled. “You did it though… you fought off the darkness. You won… You were the Chosen One.”
A hint of a smile graced Anakin’s lips. “I… I guess… so…” He coughed slightly. “Always thought it would be you…”
Anakin’s eyes moved so that he could take in his son. There was so much regret there. Regret for the pain he had caused Padme and the twins. He regretted not being able to be a positive part of his kids’ lives. But at least they had you and Obi-Wan.
“Now, go, both of you… leave me,” Anakin requested.
“No,” Luke shook his head adamantly as he responded. “You’re coming with us. I can’t leave you here. I’ve got to save you.”
“You already have, Luke… You and Y/N were right about me. Tell your sister… you were right.”
“Father, I won’t leave you.”
Anakin heard the start of your gasp, but that was the last thing he heard before everything went black.
~~~
Anakin could have sworn that he had died. He had died with you and Luke beside him. Then why did he feel so calm? So at peace. Why did he feel like he could open his eyes? Like there was something to see if he were to open with.
After a few seconds, Anakin took a deep breath and opened his eyes. It was greeted with an all-white area. He spun around to see that no one and nothing was near him. Catching a glimpse of his hands, Anakin paused to study them. They were his physical hands. No scars, no robotics. They were also younger. Slowly, he put his hands up to his face, feeling it. His face was younger and he had hair back on his head.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” a familiar voice rang from behind him, “would hate to see you lose it all again.”
Anakin spun around to see Obi-Wan standing behind him. “Obi-Wan,” he breathed out.
“Anakin.”
Anakin laughed and he stepped forward and brought his Master, friend, and brother in for a hug. Obi-Wan laughed too, welcoming the hug. The two held each other tight, occasionally hitting each other’s back. Tears slowly crawled down Anakin’s cheeks.
“I’m so sorry, Obi-Wan,” he rasped. “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s alright, Anakin,” Obi-Wan responded. “All is forgiven.”
Anakin choked out an emotional laugh. “That’s what Y/N said.”
“Well,” Obi-Wan pulled back, “she always has been the wiser one.”
Anakin nodded in agreement. “Yes, she has.” He noticed that Obi-Wan’s eyes found something behind Anakin. His brown borrowed as Obi-Wan’s smile grew. Anakin turned around to see the person he truly believed he would never see again. “Padme.”
“Ani,” she replied through her growing emotions.
Anakin rushed toward his wife. He picked her up by her hips and spun her around before holding her close.
“Padme…” Anakin cried into his wife’s shoulder. “I’m so sorry… So very sorry.”
“Oh, Ani,” Padme cooed. “It’s alright… I forgive you.”
“How?”
“Ani,” she pulled away so that she could cup his cheeks and look into his eyes. “I forgive you. For all of it. You were trying to save me. You did some awful things, I know that. But you are still worthy of forgiveness.”
“Mhm,” Yoda hummed, appearing nearby. “Right, the Senator is.”
“Master Yoda,” Anakin smiled.
“Nice to see you, it is, young Skywalker.”
“Ani?”
Anakin froze at the voice. It was one that he hadn’t heard since she died in his arms on Tatooine. Slowly, he turned around. Shmi Skywalker was standing behind him with Qui-Gon Jinn beside her.
“Mom?” Anakin breathed out.
“Ani,” she smiled. She opened her arms and Anakin fell into her, clinging to her tightly.
“I’ve missed you so much, mom.”
“I’ve missed you, too.”
Anakin pulled back and looked at the man beside his mother. “Master Qui-Gon.”
“Hello, Anakin,” Qui-Gon responded.
  “Go now, we must,” Yoda interrupted.
“Go where?” Anakin questioned.
“The Rebellion is having a celebration on Endor,” Obi-Wan explained, coming over and clasping a hand on Anakin’s shoulder. “We are going to go see Luke and Y/N.”
“All of us?”
“Unfortunately, Shmi and I cannot go,” Padme answered. “But it’s alright, we’ll be here when you return. We promise.”
“I will keep them company,” Qui-Gon said.
Anakin nodded, following Yoda and Obi-Wan.
~~~
Anakin knew that the young woman was his daughter just from the first glance. There was so much of Padme in her looks. He couldn’t help but smile as she rushed over to Luke, hugging him, before moving to hug you. The two of you shared some words before Anakin watched a man interrupt you and hug you as well. Another ghost of a smile crossed his lips, you were so important to these people and he was happy that you finally made the connections that you always longed for.
Anakin watched as you moved over to the side and watched the flickering flames of the bonfire in the center. Suddenly you glanced around the area as if you had heard something. Anakin looked over to see that Obi-Wan was showing himself to you. You moved around a large tree trunk and rushed to Obi-Wan once you saw him.
“My little star,” Obi-Wan proudly said as the two of you embraced. “I’m so proud of you.” He kissed your head.
Anakin was always in awe at your relationship, though he had never truly seen much of it. It was clear that you and Obi-Wan cared about each other very much. A love that surpassed even death.
“Proud of you, we both are,” Yoda said appearing on the railing beside the couple.
“It is not me you need to be proud of,” you shook your head. “Anakin is the one who stopped the Emperor.”
“Hmm, yes. Seemed to be the Chosen One. Proud we are of him as well.”
“Is he…?”
“I’m right here,” Anakin said as he appeared beside Obi-Wan. He could tell that you were happy to see him as you turned to face him.
“Ani.”
Anakin smiled widely. “Hello, sis.”
“Y/N?” Luke called, walking around the corner. He stopped and smiled at the sight of the Force ghosts near you.
Anakin nodded to his son. Though Luke hadn’t even seen him in this form, he knew Luke knew who he was.
“Go,” Obi-Wan told you. You looked at him, clearly not wanting to leave his side. “Celebrate with the others. Start a new Republic with Leia. Start a new adventure. I’ll be right here when you need me.”
“Oh, Obi… I love you.”
“And I love you, little star.”
Obi-Wan pulled you in for a brief kiss, causing Anakin to make playful noises of disgust. You laughed as you pulled away and looked over at him.
“Don’t cause too much trouble, Ani,” you teased.
“Can’t make any promises,” he smirked. “Thank you, Y/N, for never giving up on me.”
“You’re my brother, Ani, giving up on you was never an option.”
Anakin watched as you gave Obi-Wan one last peck on the lips before slowly walking back to where Luke was standing. Luke smiled again at the Force ghosts watching over the celebration. A few seconds later, Anakin’s daughter appeared behind you and Luke, guiding you back toward the celebration.
Anakin watched as his little family celebrated their win. He hated his part in what had transpired but understood that he couldn’t change what had happened.
~~~
Obi-Wan could see and sense how nervous Anakin was. Anakin was slightly bouncing beside him, anxiously waiting.
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen you this nervous,” Obi-Wan commented. “You need to calm down. You might scare her.”
“I’m sorry, Master,” the old name slipped out of Anakin’s mouth easily. “I’ve just… I’ve waited for this for too long.”
“I know. It has been a while.”
A little ways off in the blank white landscape, a new figure appeared. A large smile graced Anakin’s face. He went to go forward but Obi-Wan’s arm was quickly in front of him.
“Patience, Anakin,” Obi-Wan advised. “Give her a second.”
Anakin bounced on his heels a few times. “Second given.” He moved past Obi-Wan’s outstretched arm and rushed forward. His smile grew with each step. “Snips!”
Ahsoka turned around. “Anakin?” She looked over at her old friend and Master. “Anakin!”
The two laughed as Ahsoka practically jumped into Anakin’s arms. Anakin spun them around as they hugged. They still held onto each other when they stopped spinning. Ahsoka felt the heave of Anakin’s chest and a few tears landing on her shoulder before she heard Anakin’s cries. She held onto him tighter as he continued to cry.
Ahsoka didn’t need to hear Anakin apologize to know he regretted his decisions. Anakin also knew that Ahsoka had forgiven him for everything just by how she tightened her hug. The two were just so grateful to be reunited after so long apart.
~~~
Anakin smiled as Luke appeared a little way in front of him. Luke had allowed the Resistance to escape by distracting Ben Solo, Anakin’s grandson. In doing so, Luke sacrificed himself and became one with the Force. Obi-Wan was standing beside Anakin, looking on at Luke proudly. Luke turned, now his younger version, and saw the two men.
“Obi-Wan?” He questioned, stepping toward them. “Father?”
“Luke,” Obi-Wan replied with a slight smile. “You did well.”
“Thank you, Ben.” Luke looked at Anakin, not really knowing what to do.
“I, uh…” Anakin paused, clearing his throat. “Well, I—“
Luke brought his father into an embrace, stopping him from his nervous stuttering. Anakin gladly hugged his son back.
“It’s so good to see you, father,” Luke admitted.
“It’s good to see you too, son.”
~~~
Anakin was more nervous than he had ever been. He knew that as a Force ghost, he couldn’t actually throw up, but he very much felt like he was going to.
“I can’t,” Anakin said, shaking his head. “I—I can’t do this.”
“Ani,” Padme placed a comforting hand on her husband’s back. “Please don’t overthink this. It will be fine.”
“She hates me. I know she hates me. She’s admitted that she hates me ever since she found out the truth.”
“Leia is stubborn,” Bail said.
“Tell me about it,” Luke scoffed.
“Just like her parents,” Obi-Wan spoke up. “All of her parents.” He looked around at the four who could be defined as Leia’s parents.
“None of you are helping,” Breha scolded.
Anakin was bouncing on his heels as his nerves only grew. “How are you not nervous about this?” He directed his question to Padme. “You haven’t met our daughter either.”
“I know, but someone has to keep you calm,” Padme responded.
“Here she comes,” Bail said excitedly.
Everyone looked over to see Leia walking over with a man. The man had his arm around Leia’s waist, which made Anakin’s parental instincts kick in.
“Leia, Han!” Luke exclaimed.
“Luke!” Both Han and Leia responded.
Luke rushed over to the couple and the three of them shared a large hug. With Leia pulled away, she noticed Bail and Breha first.
“Mother, father,” Leia smiled. Bail and Breha opened their arms and gladly received their daughter in an embrace. When she pulled away, Leia took hold of Han’s hand. “This is Han, my husband.”
“Hello,” Han greeted. He was clearly uncomfortable but was holding it together for Leia.
Everything blurred for Anakin as he focused on Leia. He had messed up so badly with her. He had blown up Alderaan, killing her planet including Bail and Breha. Anakin had even had her tortured for information. Everyone had somehow forgiven him for all of his wrongdoings, but there was almost no way that Leia would do the same. He didn’t deserve her forgiveness, just like he didn’t deserve yours.
Bail and Breha introduced Padme and Leia. Padme didn’t pressure Leia into a hug but smiled at her proudly. Then Leia’s eyes fell upon Anakin. She knew who he was immediately. She wanted to pull Han away and never come back but it was too late. Anakin’s eyes were boring into her.
“Well, Princess,” Obi-Wan pulled Leia’s attention to him to give Anakin more time, “you’ve never stopped fighting.”
“Ben,” she smiled. Leia went over and shared a hug with Obi-Wan.
“I’m not Ben,” he pulled back with a sly smile. “I believe that name moved onto your son.”
“Yes, but you were the one he was named after.” Leia looked back at Anakin. She took a deep breath and stepped toward him. “I know who you are. You’re Anakin Skywalker… Darth Vader… my birth father.” Anakin swallowed nervously and nodded. “I know that you have apologies to make, and I don’t know if I’d be ready to hear them if my son, Ben, hadn’t just come back from the dark side.” She took another step closer. “I understand now. It still doesn’t make your actions right. But I understand now.”
A single tear trailed down one of Anakin’s cheeks. “Thank you,” he rasped.
~~~
You had done it. You had defeated the Emperor once at for all and Anakin couldn’t be prouder. You were the true Chosen One, just like he had always known. Anakin patiently waited and watched as you reunited with Obi-Wan. Luke, Leia, Han, Ahsoka, Padme, Shmi, Qui-Gon, and Yoda were also waiting beside Anakin for their turn to reunite with you.
“Hello there, my little star,” Obi-Wan greeted as he stood behind you.
Anakin smiled at the speed at which you spun around to see Obi-Wan.
“Obi,” you breathed out.
“You did it, darling,” Obi-Wan told you. “You did it and now you can rest.”
Anakin could see the hesitancy in your eyes as you stepped forward. Your hand lifted up to hover beside Obi-Wan’s cheek. “Am I…”
“You’re here, sweetheart.” Obi-Wan placed his hand on top of yours, pushing his fingers through yours, as he guided it to rest against his cheek. Anakin could hear your gasp and see your eyes shining with tears. “You’re with me.”
“Obi.”
You launched yourself at him, wrapping your arms around him tightly as your lips captured his. Obi-Wan smiled through the kiss, having waited far too long to physically hold you again. When the two of you broke the kiss, your foreheads found each other.
“I am so proud of you, little star,” Obi-Wan said softly. You knew he meant every word of it.
“I love you, Obi-Wan.”
“And I love you.”
“Okay, okay, enough of this,” Anakin interrupted as you and Obi-Wan went to kiss each other again. He headed for the two of you.
“Ani!” You exclaimed, rushing over to him.
“Hey, sis.” His arms were open wide, ready for you to barrel into him for a hug. And you did just that. Anakin laughed as you collided with him. “I’ve missed you.”
“I don’t think that you’ve missed me as much as I’ve missed you.”
“Probably not.”
You pulled away to see more people coming up from behind Anakin. Anakin moved to the side to allow you to see who was all there to greet you. You were frozen, in awe at who you were seeing standing there. You didn’t even know where to begin. Shmi made the first move.
“My daughter,” she smiled, bringing you into an embrace.
“Mom,” you cried as you hugged her tightly.
“I’m so proud of you.”
Leia, Luke, and Han came up to you together after. The four of you hugged each other tightly. Then Ahsoka came up and gave you a big hug. Tears were still falling down your cheeks when you came face to face with Padme. The two of you threw your arms around each other.
“Thank you,” Padme whispered.
“For what?” You questioned, confused.
“For taking care of my children. For being there for them when I couldn’t.”
When you pulled away from Padme, you stood in front of Qui-Gon and Yoda.
“Masters,” you greeted.
“Hello, young one,” Qui-Gon said with a smile. “You did well.”
“Yes,” Yoda agreed. “Proud of you, we are.”
“Thank you,” you replied.
Obi-Wan came up beside you, slipping his hand into yours. You looked at him with a large grin before glancing around at everyone briefly. After all those long, hard, sometimes lonely years, you were finally reunited with the ones you cared most about.

And if I say Eun-seong is nothing but a more pathetic version of his mother.
Like they are both fucking psychos with issues.
Have an obsession with the one they love, for his mother that's Eun-seong and for Eun-seong it's Hae-in.
Their obsession blinds them to what wrongs they do to get the affection they want because in their head the fact that they love the other makes up for it.
"[ insert terrible things they have done] but it's okay cause I did for you out of love."
His mother abandoning him and killing people who hurt him without ever being present and beside him and reassuring him that he's loved while she lived in luxury is okay because she was doing it all to get him all the riches, give him the entire company.
So Eun-seong should be happy with her now, he should stay beside him and appreciate all the work she's put in while throwing away and forgetting the torment he went through as a kid. Because that doesn't matter now that she succeeded and gave him everything she wanted to give right? Right?
Same way Eun-seong digs the ditches for Hae-in and pushes her in them constantly so he could play saviour, if he saved her enough times she would see his love and fall for him right, she had to. So what if that reason she was in that ditch was him? He did it out of love, he did it to keep Hae-in with him, unlike his mother who abandoned him, he will make sure to keep Hae-in by his side - not stay by her side - even if it means breaking her and forcing her to stay, she has to stay with him because he loves her and thinks Hyun-woo doesn't because he doesn't try to keep Hae-in with her -very much ignoring that hyun-woo instead stays beside her than force her to be with him- Hyun-woo who willingly signed the divorce papers, hyun-woo who was preparing the divorce papers (because he truly thought Hae-in didn't love him or want him by her side) but still stayed with Hae-in after, never leaving.
Eun-seong didn't get that. The difference between him wanting to make Hae-in stay with him and Hyun-woo wanting to stay beside Hae-in.
The difference between obsession and in a way devotion.
Eun-seong and his mother love obsessively but their obsessions are slightly different yet so similar.
Both may have different approaches to what they do and how they do but they hold no regrets about it, after all they did it for love.
All is forgiven for love it only makes sense.
The reason Eun-seong feels pathetic compared to his mother is because of how fucking stupid he is.
She loved him sure, she abandoned him while she plotted for what? 20 years.
20 years of hardwork into breaking the family and the old man to get all the rights.
And then there's Eun-seong, fucking crazy, that's all, he's not smart, he's not suave either. He's just pathetic and he's ruining things for his mother.
Because he loves Hong Hae-in.
But obviously Love is not enough.
Even for Hae-in and Hyun-woo love wasn't enough. They need to communicate, meet each other halfway to make it work or they would fall apart, almost did fall apart.
Love is never enough, it's not a term that makes everything right, it's not a feeling that makes everything right either.
Love can hurt and more often than not does hurt because love comes from people and just like people it's not perfect.
But love is not reason enough to stay.
You can't control who you love but you can and should control how you love.
Hyun-woo and Hae-in are still figuring out how to love the other, they always knew how they loved each other's but they just needed to figure out how to love each other. Hopefully Hae-in lives and they are able to sort it out and have a happy ending they deserve.
I am so close to feeling bad for the mom, not because I think she should win or deserves better.
But because she was sooo good at girlbossing this entire thing and the one reason for her downfall would be her idiot son who is a fucking loser and can't get the fucking hint.
She has covered her bases and was so ready for everything except her stupid fucking son ruining her plans.
I wanted her to fall but with Eun-seong fucking up so much... I am surprised she's not going down faster and that's simply because she is still smart and gets shit done. Unlike her own son.
(he's such a good actor though, brings out the anger in me like so easy. Everyone is so good with their acting in the show.)

X-tra Dark Cream & Dark Cream Week
Notes
This one is short so I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's very different from the previous day though, so I'm x-cited about that!
The main story can be found here! Feel free to skip my works for Dark Cream Week if you want to read Turns, twists, and paradoxes chronologically! And enjoy!
。。。
Oblivion
Dream observes as yet another AU falls into oblivion. Beside him stands Cross, overwriting buildings and roads to collapse, people — kids and adults, monsters and humans alike — to become horrible monstrosities, as others watch helplessly how their loved ones succumb to their fate. It's utter chaos, a storm of destruction and suffering but not death, never the relief of death, and nobody sees the two skeletons on the highest building in the area, one causing it all and the other feeding on the shattered positivity of a ruined Pacifist timeline. It's satisfying to see others in as much pain as Dream is in; it's gratifying to be as unfair to all these people as the world has been to Dream and his family. He is bitter, jaded. He's done caring about everyone, whether they deserve it or not. He's done being kind and understanding when no one would do the same for him; no one but his family. The world doesn't like him, so why would he like the world? No, he loathes it.
So he lets the hurt and the mistrust and the cruelty fester within his soul. What used to poison and throttle him now sets him free. It's exciting. It's exhilarating. It's perfect.
The AU crumbles under them. It will all reset, but Dream doesn’t care; he needs shattered positivity here and now, and unlike Nightmare, what becomes of the resulting negativity is not something he has any regard for.
"It's beautiful," Dream says appreciatively. The sight before him is gruesome and horrific, and that's the charm of it.
Cross blushes faintly. "Don't distract me," he mutters.
"Oh?" Dream glances at Cross with a smile. "Am I distracting?"
"Very." Short and to the point.
Dream laughes. "How delightful! I love you too, Cross. So very much."
He'd hug him, but Cross really needs to focus. Overwrite is not a power easy to use, not for him; and he can't afford to mess up. It's alright though. Dream can wait. Cross doesn't kill this time so he gains very little EXP, therefore his sleep after all of this won't be as troubled. They will cuddle and talk until Cross driffs off.
Yeah, sounds like a plan.
Dream looks at Cross, mesmerised. He's so beautiful when completely in control of himself and the world around him, overwriting his surroundings to his wishes and Dream's satisfaction. It's brilliant. Cross is brilliant.
The oblivion will be this AU's salvation. It won't collapse. It will reset, and they will forget, all of them but those with the highest levels of determination. Dream won't forget, either, and he won't ever be forgiven, and that's the point. He wants just a couple of people to remember, he doesn't ever need more, doesn't need the negativity to stay.
The oblivion won't be Dream's salvation, though. He'll never forget his own corruption, and he'll never forgive himself, but that's okay. He's not hurting anymore. He doesn't need or want oblivion.
They'll be okay.

How do you like this one? It's further in the timeline than the previous day's ones, so it is indeed quite different! Dream's much more confident in what he does and clearly learning to relish in destruction he must cause to survive.

Okay, so Sam's whole thing is that the ends justify the means. It's a huge motivating factor for him in s4-12. He can justify draining a nurse because killing Lilith is a worthy cause. He can send a guy to sell his soul to a demon because capturing a crossroad demon to find Dean is more important. He can imprison Rowena and order a human sacrifice because removing the Mark from Dean is just that important. He can work with the British Men of Letters (and lie to Dean about it) because their goals are more important then his or Dean's feelings about them or what the BMoL had done previously.
It's a fascinating aspect of his character and it develops in s1-3.
It's starts with Devil's Trap and In My Time of Dying. In Devil's Trap he doesn't kill John. He goes with what Dean wants and let's Azazel escape to save John. Only to have John die within a week anyway. Over the course of s2 they learn that John sold his soul to save Dean. They also discover all of the horrible shit Azazel does over that year. Ava and Andy die. Ava's fiance die. Who knows how many other people when Azazel was collecting the kids for the death match. Sam dies and Dean sells his soul to save him.
All of which could have been avoided if Sam had just killed Azazel back in that cabin. Sam is the type of person to think about how much everything would have changed, how many people would have lived, if he'd just pulled that trigger. Debatable on whether or not Dean would have ever forgiven him.
If season 2 is a horror show of people who died brutally because Azazel was alive to kill them, then season 3 is other people laying the blame for various deaths at their feet. It starts with Isaac and Tamara in The Magnificent Seven blaming them for the people the demons killed after escaping through the hell gate and continues from there. Most significantly in Jus in Bello.
The episode has a important moral hinge point on whether or not to sacrifice one of the civilians to kill a bunch of demons and let them all escape. A plan that Sam is down for, especially after the potential sacrifice says she'll do it. It's clear that Sam is doing the mental math of one person dying vs lots of people dying. Dean talks him out of it, but the episode ends with Lilith killing everyone anyway. With a helpful rant from Ruby about how it's all Sam's fault for not killing the one person.
We can see how this effects Sam over time. He's more and more willing to take the ruthless option, even if it means hurting innocent people. With a harsh cumulation in Time Is On My Side when Sam tries to convince Dean to become an alchemy zombie living off the organs of others. Because Sam has decided that the goal of saving Dean from hell is worth killing people over. Maybe a lot of people.
It's worth noting that this is one of, if not the, last time Sam tries to argue Dean into an "ends justify the means" mindset. From thereon in he usually takes the "better to apologize than ask permission" and just does things. Even if he knows Dean wouldn't approve and that he can't justify them to Dean in a way that Dean would accept so he ends up spending all of s4 lying to Dean.
Crucially he clearly considers this a strength of his that Dean lacks. I think he only really starts to reconsider this approach in s13 when the way he was using Jack blows up in everyone's face and he can't just puppy dog eyes his way out of the consequences. He seems to take a much more measured approach with his group of AW hunters.
And those are my thoughts.

I just finished watching the new Miraculous movie. I need to just- discuss it. Because wow.
First note: I ugly sobbed twice in the movie. First time was when the butterflies turned from akumas into bright akumas when Gabriel and Adrien hug, and I sobbed even harder with Emilie's form wraps around them both. The second time I ugly cried was when Adrien realizes Marinette and Ladybug are one and the same and starts crying, and then Marinette starts to cry, and then I cry.
This movie was insanely good. As much as I love the show (trust me, I love it), I do prefer this version of Gabriel's story, but that might just be the inner little kid in me who likes happy endings. Both versions of Gabriel's story showcases the power of strong emotions, one being how grief and obsession can contort in insanity and the other, the grief of a husband and a father, being forgiven even though he had done so much wrong. Even to his own son. He had almost killed his son- and was about to actually do so. The movie made Gabriel redeemable (a task I thought was impossible) and likeable. In the movie he truly is just a grieving man, not yet driven by obsession like in the show. It's a stark contrast but I don't think it's bad. I actually really like it.
This movie was the most beautiful movie visually, that I have ever seen. Ladybug and Chat Noir's duet was easily my favorite because of just, how beautiful not only the song was but the visuals. The way Chat looked at Ladybug, and vice versa, was just amazing.
One thing I didn't like however, was the portrayal of Plagg and Tikki. First let's talk about Plagg. He's my favorite kwami and I understand he's supposed to be chaotic and such, but I feel like they just made him have the same vibe as an overweight uncle who may or may not do illegal substances. With all the- as the captions put it- flatulence, it didn't really seem like Plagg to me. Same with Tikki. Tikki in the show is able to balance and understand Marinette's needs as Marinette and as Ladybug and helps her. The Tikki in the movie felt off to me. She felt pushy, and unaware of Marinette emotions, which caused her to be less likeable which is a crime because it's Tikki. (A lot of other characters seemed to have strange characterization, but I did like the scene of Marinette telling Chloe her hair looked like a rats nest- it was very satisfying)
Ok that's the only little nitpick I had of the movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will probably be watching it daily for the next month. I remember watching the trailer and such and immediately thinking it was the most beautiful movie I have ever seen, and it did NOT disappoint! I am in awe that I actually got to watch it.
ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT MARINETTE'S DRESS AT THE END!? I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO HAVE THAT DRESS IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
I also believe the dress is symbolic. We see in the final fight that Marinette believes her and Ladybug are separate entities, but Tikki helps her realize that they are one in the same. That Ladybug- the protector of Paris- wouldn't exist without her. So the last scene she is in, she's wearing a ladybug dress. She finally understands that what Tikki said that first night is true. She *is* Ladybug. Her wearing the dress was the two halves of her life combining, making her whole.
Also her unmasking Adrien, was so powerful. We know that for Adrien, the mask symbolizes his freedom, but it's the opposite for Marinette. She is chained down by her responsibilities. (Show wise, not shown as much in the movie but I'm sure the second one will show it) Sure it was so he could recognize her as Ladybug, but I think this scene holds a much deeper meaning. He had already "accepted the mask" per say, we see this in the first scene he's in. He's confident and proud, knowing his job just not knowing how to execute it yet. Then you have Marinette, who struggled the entire movie on whether or not she was worthy, whether she is Ladybug or not. She's taking away Adrien's mask, because she's his lady, and even without the mask, he is free around her. And here she is taking the mask, because even though as Marinette she's clumsy and stumbles and makes mistakes, that's her kitty, and she knows that she can do anything by his side. That they are stronger together.

Grand Finals: Chara Dreemurr (Undertale) vs.

I saw on your twitter that you finished gåsmamman and i need to know your thoughts about the finale! i was so....that was it?? like i needed at least one more episode after it lol, i get that it's supposed to be kind of an ambiguous ending but i didn't feel satisfied u know
hi!!!
while i enjoyed the finale a lot, i definitely do not feel entirely satisfied with it as a complete ending for 6 seasons – like we didn't even get the chance to breathe with the final shot before the gåsmamman logo came up! given what happens to sonja and lukas, i get that it's supposed to be abrupt but i would've loved a little bit more afterwards to process it all. i would've loved to see the other characters process it, even just time spent longer on the reactions of their faces... it was like, boom (lol) this whole huge moment happens and then it goes to linus for 0.2 seconds and then THE END and i'm there triple checking the google drive like, is that it? just a little bit more would've been great – something to allow the audience to sit with it for a beat before being jerked away.
major spoilers under cut for the last few eps of gåsmamman so be warned! just want to talk about an aspect in greater detail.
i guess the one thing about the finale that continues to stump me is the decision to have zac trade linus in – i just find it hard to believe that he would've done that to nina, given how much she loves and cares for her younger brother and how he's looked after him for years, i don't feel like she would've ever forgiven him had she found that out? like, how did he think he would get away with that? i know that he was desperate and trying to protect their son and nina and the whole point of the show is people doing desperate insane things to protect their family – it just felt like a little bit of a character assassination, because zac surely had to have known that linus was always going to be in physical danger with that deal – he'd spent long enough in that world to know that "you promised not to hurt him" was empty. i guess you can argue that he was just blindsided by his need to protect his family, but it just makes me a little frustrated.
i know that sonja killing him was a way for them to show that she had ultimately turned into anders (eg: him killing his own daughter's husband, fredrik and therefore irredeemable), but i do wish the truth of the situation had come to light in that last moment w sonja and the kids when linus exposes it to nina, because i feel like sonja's reasoning is a lot more justified than anders' was – like, i would kill someone too if they'd handed linus willingly over to someone to get tortured. i don't think sonja would've ever been able to come back from killing zac – especially not in her family's eyes – but i also think zac never would've been able to come back from it either had he stayed alive.
all in all i loved the show. it was dramatic and heightened and ridiculous at times, but i found myself really caring about the characters – the performances were all pretty impressive too. and ultimately, i liked the outcome for sonja (and god i am so glad linus' beard and shitty back tattoo from her fantasy of the future was not real cause hell) i just wish the aftermath had been extended ever so –just so we got to properly say goodbye to the characters we've sat with for 6 seasons like, emil's reaction, barry's reaction etc etc. there's only 2 works on ao3 under gåsmamman so i can't even find someone else to satisfy it for me 💔💔
anyways sorry this is super ramble-y but, you asked for it! here to chat about the rest of it whenever!! hope you have a wonderful day.

Enhypen Interrogation
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Previous Part / Next Part
Tis the day that Yeonjun has begun his investigation on Sunoo. In order to confirm his suspicions that it was Sunoo who destroyed Kai plush.
It was simple, Yeonjun went to Engene Coporation and said he wanted to talk Jay. Saying he is some famous choreographer whatever a story he can think of (he is good with his words). Surprisingly, those hit it off at first meeting and Yeonjun asked Jay a favour to let him into his family group chat. To do some of his investigations.
Is Sunoo the culprit?
Enhypen Main Chat
Jay 💸 added Yeonjun🐯

Sunghoon❄️: Plus with lots of wailing and stomping
Sunoo☀️: Don’t embarrass me, in front of my biggest fan! It’s private!
Heesung🦌: Why are you interrogating Sunoo?
Yeonjun🐯: I am simply asking a question! I want to get to know Sunoo more as I have this chance to talk to him
Heesung🦌: I’m not buying it
Jay💸: Me too! Even though I met Yeonjun a month ago, you are not the type of person to be sweet unless you after something

Jay💸: Jungwonie, you have so much to learn…don’t trust strangers easily…
Yeonjun🐯 left the chat

Heesung🦌: This is way to suspicious
Sunoo☀️: Appa and uncle Heesung stop being worried! He is nice!!
Jake🐶: Let him have it. We don’t want him to go after another person now!

Fuck I'm just gonna post the UnderGrell HC's I put up on my twitter here so you can all see my specific brand of violence for them
1 - Grell loves Undertaker the same way she loved Madam Red: she loves the violence he is capable of and the humour he bestows. He is someone who understands her in ways few others ever get close to, and he accepts every part of her no matter how ugly or shameful or strange
And she knows such a love will ultimately end in tragedy; she killed her Madam because she loved her, and she will assist in the killing of Undertaker for the same reason. She has only ever known how to kill that which she loves - including herself, back when she was human
2 - Grell wouldn't "join" Undertaker's side because she loves him she'd initially do it to try and be a spy for headquarters and then end up falling for him anyway because she loves people too easily and deals with it Badly [hence the violence and killing as a form of love thing]
3 - Look all I'm saying is that Grell canonically wants children of her own and I just think it'd be really neat if a bad end route was her and Undertaker being R!Ciel's parental figures. Take a second to imagine that because it's been in my head all day and won't leave
No no look at me listen - it makes so much sense to me that the Reapers would be sterile, since being a Reaper is a punishment and there's no way a punishment would allow you to have kids of your own because that would be going against the natural order of the world
And the idea that "one day you'll be forgiven" is so far only hearsay. It could very well just be a mantra used to keep the Reapers doing their jobs for eternity without causing issues
Now imagine Undertaker placing his hand over Grell's stomach, right where the womb would be, and telling her how sad it is that even if she had been given the proper organs, she would still be denied such happiness anyway, and don't you think that's just unfair? etc etc it leads to him subtly suggesting she should join him and "play families" with R!Ciel to fulfill her needs you get where this is going
4 - Thinking about UnderGrell violence as a form of love again and what if he just. Swapped hearts with her. Like on a literal sense ripped her heart out and shoved it in his own chest so he could feel her beating against him and vice versa. Gave her the same scars as himself :)
Because Shinigami, from what we know thus far, can only be killed via two methods: a very specific disease that has hanahaki like symptoms [best way I can explain it] and through the use of a Death Scythe, so the amount of mutual violence they could inflict on one another would be CHEFS KISS
5 - I want UnderGrell to mutilate eachother in the sense that Grell is actively trying to kill Undertaker but he just thinks she's showing affection and laughs it off while teasing her about it; She digs her teeth so deep into his neck if he were human she would've severed his arteries and bled him dry and he just pets her hair and calls her a good sweet little thing. She's like a stoat or polecat to him
