Your frozen hash brown treat sounds banger 😩
it comes courtesy of stoned em with no snacks in the house just a bag of frozen hash browns. i tried it again when i was sober and said "oh shit no this SLAPS" and while it takes about 15 minutes, it's literally
heat vegetable/canola oil in a pan (i just eyeball it because the instructions on the bag are for like a half bag and i have a tiny pan/can't eat that much. i like to cover the bottom of the pan and then add just a little more)
add frozen hash browns/seasoning (once again i use special shit but use literally whatever you want. make your own concoction if you so desire)
wait 6 minutes (can either vibe to music or scroll tumblr/tiktok/whatever. no real supervision required)
flip/stir (because they never stick together like they're allegedly supposed to)
wait 6 more minutes (continue previous activities)
check for ideal crispiness (i like personally to see a nice browning but i don't want to be crunching the whole time)
add cheese (as i said in my tags i use processed american cheese bc it gets nice and gooey. i do one slice and break it into quarters for maximum coverage)
once it gets to proper meltiness, transfer to plate and add hot sauce to your heart's desire.
even when i don't feel like cooking, i can manage to stand in the kitchen long enough to throw this together because it's worth it 100% of the time

btw if you like to nab recipes from the internet you need the paprika 3 app. It has a a million invaluable features but the big one is the browser that lets you paste a recipe link and it extracts all the needed info so you don’t need to scroll past anyone’s life story. Beyond that it’s so good for organizing recipes and actively using while you cook with different UI features. I’m going to proselytize this app for the rest of my life

Cobb: *concerned look at the bathroom* Are you sure he’s okay in there?
Boba: Of course he is. That was ba’buir’s famous curry recipe.
Cobb: What’s it famous for; making grown men cry? Because he was really choking up before he ran in there. If the medi droid hadn’t confirmed this wasn’t an allergic reaction I’d be afraid his throat was closing.
Boba: Listen, Din basically lives off ration bars and bland soup. He’s just expelling some demons in a very Mandalorian way.
Fennec: *only catching that last part as she comes back from checking on Din, Grogu climbing down from her boot so he can toddle off to Boba* Expelling demons, huh? His momma might know something about that, she takes me for a very traditional ladie, that armorer.
Boba: *picking up a worried bean, giving him gentle ear pets* She is. That’s not what I meant, though. Just confirming we didn’t poison him.
Fennec: Ahh. So you don’t plan to exorcise him, then?
Boba: …?? Does… does he need it?
Fennec: idk. Sometimes I find him whispering to corners like a cat. Like he sees someone we don’t.
Boba: …we’ll call his Buir. She said he didn’t seem possessed the last time she saw him.
Fennec: idk these things come on fast.
Cobb: *deep sigh, leaves them to their single braincell, takes the baby and wanders off to find some blue milk to give Din so he stops crying*

fuck it it's been eons im sharing my funny little recipe for making instant noodles not suck
Stuff you need
your favorite pack of instant noodles. or the next best thing whatever works
frozen spinach leaves (or alternative veggies)
egg :)
1 mushroom (optional but very recommended)
soysauce (abt 1-2 tablespoons)
fish sauce (5-10 drops)
lime juice (5-10 drops)
1-2cm fresh ginger (ginger powder's fine in a pinch)
Stuff you do
boil the spinach. add a generous amount of salt into the water as well as butter! shit's tasty. other veggies also love being boiled in salt. as an alternative you can fry the spinach if you'd like
prepare egg. i prefer to fry mine sunny side up in some oil bc it's quick, but you can also boil it. usually the point is to keep the yolk/yellow part soft so it mixes nicely into the broth and noodles but if you don't have to do that if you wanna do something else
chop/crush ginger and chop mushroom. crushed ginger releases more flavor than chopped but i like having little ginger pieces in my broth, and you can add more of it when it's chopped.
add ginger, mushroom, flavor packets into a pot with water. i paid for the flavor packets and im fucking using them ok. taste a bit to check the base taste before adding the good stuff:
soysauce, fish sauce, lime juice. that's my recommended order, anyway. taste frequently and start adding them carefully to adjust the flavor more precisely! the amounts i gave are generous estimates because i tend to just wing it
boil noodles. it's probably better to boil them separately, but im lazy and just add them into the broth. this will taint the broth with the forbidden noodle particles, so if that's not your thing take out another pot for them
add everything into a bowl and enjoy. wahey :)
Other tips I guess
you can go apeshit with veggies, and you can absolutely use fresh ones as well, though you should add them to the broth instead of prepping them separately. i think. idk i prefer to work with frozen stuff bc you can get a lot for cheap and they last for a long time
if you want to prepare protein that isn't an egg for this, go for it! i love adding leftover chicken whenever we have some, and things like tofu are pretty neat too
a lot of this recipe or whatever relies on the flavor packet as a kind of base for the broth, hence why i recommend picking a noodle thing you can eat as is for this. i've also noticed that this works particularly well for seafood noodles, but i've done it for other kinds as well and had cool results

it's so weird talking about language and culture with young american people because it just feels like. there's such a fundamental lack in understanding that languages spread and cultures intermingle. there's a massive difference between "cultural appropriation" and "living in your environment" or "sharing things with others." it's honestly astonishing how much people want to create sharp divisions in life experiences and behaviors based on perceived background even though those sharp divisions rarely exist in the real world...

Laying around reading priory of the orange tree today. Really loving it so far.
I tried to cook Thai (Tom yum, Tod mun pla, yum woon Sen) last night and didn’t even get the soup finished before my energy tanked and I had to put it all away, so now I’m waiting for my soup to warm up so I can finish it. Thinking about having more coffee just in case. Fake energy is still energy right??
Autoimmune diseases suck ☹️
