Gods I fucking HATE going into the Heart Pirates tag and constantly seeing people post about how Law's crew "isn't there for fighting" and is just there for "emotional support." I don't even care if it's supposed to be a "joke" because frankly, I'm sick of seeing this shit. So I'm going to clear something up:

No crew, regardless of how strong their captain is, makes it to the New World if they aren't strong fighters.

Like, they don't just sit around on the ship and let Law do the hard work all the time. There is canon proof they can hold their own. They fought alongside the Mink Tribe when the Beast Pirates attacked Zou. They fought the Beast Pirates during the Raid on Onigashima. We saw they employ clever underwater tactics and hold their own against the like of fucking BLACKBEARD. You know, the guy who's one of the major villains of the whole series? Losing to him doesn't fucking make them weak. They lost because the guy is designed to be basically unbeatable by anyone but the main heroes.

Honestly. We've seen the Heart Pirates fight about as much as the Kid Pirates, and I don't see people claiming Kid's crew are "weak" and "just there for emotional support." Both these crews are strong and willing to fight, kill, and die for the sake of their captains.

I'm all for making a joke. I can genuinely laugh at the silly posts and memes. But when 90% of the posts about them are like this, it's clear people aren't telling a joke - they see them as a joke. Because it seems like nobody talks about them as a legit pirate crew to a powerful pirate captain. Characters can be powerful and badass AND strike goofy poses and be affectionate to their captain. It's what makes them interesting. The fandom really needs to realize that.

Today's the day we finally move to the new house! It's been a rough journey and a very stressful one, but I'm happy to see it's almost over <3 Our cats are... less than pleased with us lol.

Taking a hiatus has been a huge help, and I'm so glad that many of you have stuck around! Doing Poll's Egg Playdate has been very fun and I hope it continues further! I'm not going off of hiatus just yet; I plan to make my grand return on JUNE 1ST, with the (very short) April recap posting on June 8th.

Of course she still knows whose belong to who, but her eyes no longer scan room walls to identify her nearest exit. She still finds it hard to meet their eyes or dare to talk first, but she more often than not greets them with a smile.

Carlisle always has one to offer in return, one she can't help but notice, especially when she can't meet his gaze. She wishes to, one day; she wishes to see the way his smile finds his eyes and undoubtedly makes him even more beautiful. The thought alone makes her feel giddy, like a schoolgirl who whispers to her friends behind hands while daring to glance over their shoulders, only to avert their attention before her crush can cotton on.

She is sat on an arm chair in front of a burning fire, a book she has already read multiple times settled atop knees tucked into her chest. Perhaps it is intentional she chose that particular book. Vampiric memory means she doesn't have to turn pages, but she does so anyway, mainly to maintain a sense of humanness and aid in a distraction from the company that is Carlisle settled in the chair next to her, a small side table the only thing separating them.

Her peripheral spots his hand resting quite innocently on the arm rest of his chair.

She can't tell if he has felt this shift too. It had been there from the moment she opened her eyes in this life, but it has grown more obnoxious, more desperate to be acknowledged.

It's why Esme concentrates so hard on words she already knows.

Her hand comes to turn the page, but remains lingering in place long after the page has turned. If her heart still beat it would be hammering against her ribcage.

In lieu of that, her thoughts instead race a million miles per minute. All she can do is silently offer apologies to Edward. And, as if to soothe him by silencing the thousands of decisions running through her skull, Esme finally commits in a rare moment of courage.

Her hand finds the top of Carlisle's own, her fingers intertwining with his while eyes continue to flicker across familiar pages.

It will take another burst of courage to admit exactly how she feels, but despite Carlisle's inability to read minds, she hopes this simple, small action portrays that without leaving any room for doubt. The only anxiety now simply rested in his own reaction.

The other set of Vargases came over for a visit and Scriabin picked up Shmee and started talking to Scriabin through him. Very normal, very usual

I downloaded some circle-glasses recolours and hghghh they look so good! Closer every day to his final details! Getting ever closer!

Edgar too! I made him a custom hair with a lighter undercut - I’m mostly happy with it, probably could’ve shifted it a shade closer to his skintone but the texturing was weird no matter what :P And his stripey shirt! I wish Body Shop didn’t have that hands-on-hips pose lol, it looks so much better in-game, but that’s all the better :)

I got some new clothes for Todd as well! As soon as I saw this ‘fit I was like “Oh that’s 100% Todd there he is.” Scriadad hug ♥ So cute
