best friends brother!touya who has had his eye on you longer than you realize
cw/tw: reader is in college, reader is 18 and touya is 19, one mention of touya smoking, fluffy fluffy fluffy
wc: 2.3k
a/n: this is part two of my bfb!touya au. part one can be found here.
Tumblr media
if there was one thing that had always prevented your crush on touya from being a total cliche, it was the fact that you had a good relationship. you were never reduced to being just his baby sister's equally babyish friend, there to ignore or treat like a nuisance. whether he really knew it or not, touya was your friend, too; and you were his.
it’d be inaccurate, however, to describe your current predicament as a “friends” quarrel. it might even be inaccurate to call something so one-sided a quarrel at all. all you know for sure is that touya’s been giving you the silent treatment for far too long, and you’re going to do something about it.
after weeks of avoiding you and his own house, he’s forced to reappear for shouto’s birthday (although you think rei repeatedly asking him if fuyumi is now her oldest child during their daily phone calls should also be credited). it’s meant to be a small celebration between the family that they all insist you’re a part of. shouto has plans to spend the rest of the evening with his new school friends.
“you still friends with the little shit that looks like he bites, shou?” touya asks while rummaging through the kitchen drawer for candles, unbothered by rei’s soft swat on the back of his head and hissing of his name. it’s the second one he’s received from her since he’s arrived, the first having been provoked by a new tattoo taking up a large portion of the side of his neck (needless to say, it made you feel a bit delusional for thinking you were entirely to blame for his lack of visits).
despite his crappy description, shouto understands enough to mumble an “mhm”.
“what about the one with the freckles? he’s a good kid. i’d keep him around if i were you.”
“thank god we have such an upstanding citizen for a brother,” natsuo teases, large enough to ruffle his big brothers white head of hair while he’s still sat. “share some more of your wis— get off of me!”
touya’s interest has shifted to putting natsuo in a headlock, wrestling him to the ground in a competition he’s bound to lose, if their past scuffles have anything to say about it. the box falls from his hold, spilling dozens of multicolored candles all over the kitchen floor. the sounds of the sticks crunching and breaking under shoes puts a halt to their little match.
touya pulls away, unaware that you’re already crouched under the table trying to recover the salvageable candles yourself. it’s his hand landing on top of your smaller ones that alerts him, eyes shooting up to meet yours like a deer caught in headlights. the constrictions of the tight space causes you to nearly knock face first into one another. despite the proximity, you’re suddenly reminded that you’re not nearly as close as you were weeks ago, when your tongues were down each others throats.
it takes all your willpower not to squeal from embarrassment as you squirm your way out from underneath the table, body running dangerously hot. it’s ironic, you think, that you’re the first to back away after begging for a chance to be near him again all this time; but more so the fact that touya is the one left with a sad, longing expression on his face when he stands.
Tumblr media
light snow is falling by the time shouto’s celebration comes to an end, accompanied by bitter cold weather. kind of depressing, but touya figures that’s just how his oddball little brother would like it. it’s only four thirty in the afternoon, but the lamps lined along the pathway in front of the todoroki household are already on. his black down jacket is zipped all the way to his nose, hood struggling against the unruliness of his hair. the crunching of the snow underneath his boots brings him a nice calm — ruined by the sound of your warm voice.
normally, your shouts of his name were more than welcome. but given the circumstances, he can’t help but feel a sense of impending doom. he turns on his heel to see you running down the yard without a care in the world, and fights the urge to yell at you to be careful (though the thought of you slipping and landing on your butt is kind of endearing too). by the time you reach him, you’re out of breath. it comes as no surprise to the creep who’d spectated you in the past during your high school sports festivals.
“touya,” you pant, hand on his shoulder. “walk me home, will you?”
you’re cruel. it’s a request he can’t say no to; you might as well have put a gun to his head. there’s a sadistic, pleased little grin on your face as you start waddling alongside him. touya figures it shouldn’t be too difficult taking you home without sparing a word; you only live about ten minutes away. what’s ten more minutes after weeks of keeping this up?
he fails to take into account that having you this close strips him of all immunity to your charm, especially when you look this adorable. you look well prepared for an expedition to the antarctic, in your oversized puffer jacket, winter mittens, gloves and scarf. all the bundles practically swallow you whole, only leaving your cute little face exposed.
there’s students roaming the streets, probably heading home from their after school clubs. you’re people watching; touya knows you’ve always had a knack for that. he quickly averts the side gaze he’s had on you when he notices your head turning up towards him.
“did you ever realize how popular you were in high school?” there’s a hint of nostalgia in your voice.
you receive a shrug in response. “not really.”
“everyone in my year was in love with you,” you chuckle into your scarf.
touya’s eyebrow quirks up. everyone? even you? he wills himself not to say. your new boyfriend probably wouldn’t like that.
but your power over him must have upgraded to telepathy, because you proceed to answer his question. “even i was a victim to the touya disease, you know.”
“oh yeah?” even if he can’t steady his heart rate, he’ll maintain his cool.
“oh yeah. i think everyone would agree it was hard crushing on someone who didn’t even know they existed.”
touya digs his face deeper into his jacket, hands curled tighter in his pockets.
“right.”
Tumblr media
touya’s ears pick up on your voice before he actually sees you for the first time. just standing in the school library is enough to send shivers down his edgy spine, but he’s willing to make the sacrifice to wait around for his buddy, who’s been forced into tutoring sessions. he’s made himself busy scanning through the aisles for books that pique his interest, a safe distance from the tables where you and his friend had agreed to meet up.
“hey, that’s alright! even i struggled learning this at first. you’ll get the hang of it in no time. i believe in you.”
touya snorts. he can imagine his friend currently trying to dig his fingers into his eyeballs. but even funnier is the sweet voice you're using and your gentle words of encouragement. most people fearfully trip over their own feet and fumble their words at the mere sight of his group of friends: yet you’re treating the scariest looking one of the group like a grade schooler learning his times tables.
touya had promised to make himself invisible while waiting around; his friend was already humiliated by just the prospect of needing tutoring. but his curiosity always came out victorious, and he’s soon peeking from behind the shelves just to catch a tiny glimpse of you.
your pretty face matches your voice.
the next time touya catches a glimpse of you, your back is turned to him. he’s performing his regular routine of sneaking out of his p.e. class in order to head to the bathroom for a smoke. you’re walking down the halls with your headphones in, completely oblivious to the presence behind you, and through the silence he can faintly hear the instrumental of whatever it is you’re listening to. he knows it’s a shitty thing to make judgements about someone he’s never even had a conversation with, but he can’t help but think whatever’s playing in your headphones is far different from what he’d expect someone as soft as you to listen to. he’s able to make out the sounds of heavy drums and electric guitar riffs. it’s as if you lived to surprise him, he thinks, when you start whispering the lyrics to the song; one that’s been on nearly all of his playlists.
touya thinks the universe is trying to get him arrested when he finds himself coincidentally trailing behind you on the way home a week later. he also thinks you should have more concern for your safety, seeing as you could’ve had a full fledged stalker at this point and had no idea. five minutes into your journey home, he watches as you come to a stop under a lamp post, and reach into your backpack. maybe you’re finally taking out pepper spray, or a pocket knife, touya guesses (and secretly hopes). instead, you pull out a can of food, kneeling down and placing it in front of a nearby bush. there’s a rustling and the sound of a meow before a stray ball of fluff comes running out, circling and rubbing his head against you in familiarity before indulging in your offering. as he watches you coo and gently scratch around the cats ears, touya comes to a conclusion: he has a fat crush on you.
for the next year, touya’s attempts at doing anything about his crush on you don’t surpass staring at you from afar for no more than three seconds at a time; and that was just fine for him. leave it to his little siblings to screw it all up. granted, the last of his siblings he would have expected to act as the agent of chaos was fuyumi. the day he came home to find you sitting at his kitchen table and giggling with his little sister, touya knew he was well beyond fucked.
Tumblr media
there’s a tug on the sleeve of your jacket that forces you to stop in your tracks. the snow that’s now been disguised by the complete darkness of the evening is reilluminated by the light radiating from the lamp post above you.
“i’ll cut the bullshit. i like you. a lot,” touya declares, blinking away the snowflakes that make his eyelashes look impossibly prettier. “hearing that you had a boyfriend fucking sucked, and i had this petty, stupid idea to bring some girl over. i don’t know what exactly i was trying to accomplish.”
you’d had a whole speech planned and written in your heart for the boy looking down at you; you figure you should also correct his faulty assumption, but his confession leaves you tongue tied.
“but then you had this sad look on your face the whole time and that’s all i could think about for the next day. kissing you was a dick move, i know but….” he sighs, looking up at the night sky as if it might throw him a bone. “but you kissed me back. and i don’t want to be like… your side bitch, or something.”
you’re able to read genuine hurt in touya’s eyes, but his claim and it’s wording throws you into a fit of giggles. even as you’re laughing at his misery, touya can’t help but have goo-goo eyes for you.
“i’m serious! i went back to my room with a sad boner, you know! and it’s honestly blasphemous for you of all people to two time your poor boyfriend. i thought you were supposed to be a saint!”
“i’m sorry, i’m sorry. it’s just— you’re so stupid,” you wheeze.
it’s difficult for touya to take the fact that you just called him stupid to heart as you unsuccessfully attempt to wipe your tears away with your mittens on; so he does it for you. you give a soft smile of gratitude in return, a glint in your eyes. you take off your gloves so that you’re able to pull down the zipper covering his face. and despite his declaration that he didn’t want to be your “side bitch”, touya doesn’t stop you when you get on your tippy toes and loop your arms around his torso to plant a soft kiss on his lips; nor does he complain when it lands on his cupids bow instead. the softness of it all only makes him blush even harder, an effect he hopes is you’ll blame on the cold weather.
you don’t.
your chin is propped on his chest as you look up at him with a goofy smile. “i’m not dating that guy. i was peer pressured by fuyumi into going on one date, but nothing came out of it. you’d know that if you hadn’t stormed out of the room like a big baby. i kissed you back because i have feelings for you, dummy.”
with wide eyes, touya lets out a breathy laugh, before pulling his hands out of his pockets to grab your face and crash his lips into yours, hard and needy. you’re lips are locked for what feels like far too little a time before he pulls away.
“if i were you i probably wouldn’t want to date such an idiot after all this but…. will you? date me?”
“i’d love nothing more than to date this idiot.”
touya’s going to have to tell you later how you got together in the same spot he fell for you; but his first order of business is to take you back to his place and make up for lost time.

THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE — todoroki shouto x f!reader
shocked that you've never had a boyfriend before him, todoroki is determined to make up for lost time by showering you with as many cheesy gestures as possible.
genre: established relationship au | fluff
warnings: reader is in her first relationship, shouto is in love + he’s trying his best, cheesy moments!!!!!, a picnic date inspired by rachel & jun’s recent video, bakugo is the off-screen begrudging friend just trying to help out
word count: 3.9k
Tumblr media
The evening of your one-year anniversary with Todoroki finds the pair of you on the couch, your arms around his midriff and his arm around the back of your shoulders. The finished takeout that Todoroki promises to throw away into the trash bins outside of your apartment building sits on the table, all neatly stacked up, while the small dessert he bought for you sits on the coffee table—a cupcake with two forks resting on the unfolded wrapper. Sitting in front of the eaten cupcake is a small array of candles, all lit up and emitting a mixture of smells ranging across light florals.
Overall, the atmosphere is one of such soft affection that it makes your heart race in your chest. This is especially the case as Todoroki rests his cheek on the top of your head, the movement tucking you closer to him. The gesture, while subtle, brings a wordless smile to your lips. Todoroki isn’t the most physically affectionate boyfriend, so small things like this really make your heart race.
And this entire evening has been nothing but an endless series of heart racing undertakings, despite its uneventfulness. In fact, Todoroki had to work for most of the day—so you had expected fast food and late night arrives, and an anniversary scheduled for another evening. Not that you minded, of course. Your relationship with Todoroki has always been lowkey and foundational; you never needed any big romantic gestures to reaffirm what you were already fully confident in.
Yet, Todoroki surprised you by arriving at your apartment a few hours early, with a bag of your favorite take-out food and handfuls of hand-picked candles, ones that brought a warm glow to your living room as the pair of you exchanged presents. All of his actions and gestures throughout the night up until this point have been small, but packed more meaning than he could ever know.
You’re practically on cloud nine, too swept away by the night, that you almost don’t notice Todoroki asking you a question. “Baby?” he whispers, turning his cheek slightly. “Are you awake?”
You shift. “Yeah,” you mutter back. The pair of you readjust yourselves so that you can look up at Todoroki. “What’s up?”
“Has tonight been… enjoyable?” he asks, gazing off to the side to showcase the pink of his cheeks. “I know I had to work today, so I wanted to do what I could.”
You sit up. “Shouto, are you kidding? Today has been so fun and unexpected. I wasn’t even expecting you to bring food over!” You grin. “You make me really happy.”
The corner of his lips turn up, before they lower as he ponders yet again. “How does it compare with your past relationships?” he starts carefully. The hand that is not wrapped around your shoulder clenches tighter at the denim on his legs, showcasing the depth of his nerves. It’s not very often the two of you discuss unnecessary past events. In fact, this is the first time Todoroki is asking you about previous boyfriends.
It makes sense. Perhaps he would not have asked the question had he known.
You try for a casual shrug. “I’ve actually never been in a relationship before. So I’d consider this a first first anniversary!” you remark cheerfully, turning your attention back to the show playing on TV.
You don’t notice Todoroki’s pensive silence until he’s sitting forward a little, shifting you so that you are now deprived of his warmth. At first, your mind whirls. Did he have a problem with the fact that you never dated anyone before him?
The internal question makes you pout. “Is that a problem?” you ask quietly.
Todoroki turns to look at you. “It’s not,” he reassures softly. “But I can’t help but wonder: if this is your first anniversary ever, why not ask for something more special?”
You mirror Todoroki’s previous sitting up motion until your chest is at his back, where you latch your arms around his neck. “Shouto,” you mumble into his ear. “This is special to me. I don’t need expensive dinners or dressy situations or public outings. I just wanted to spend the evening with you, cuddling and eating good food and I got to do that!”
Todoroki leans back into you. “What if I think you deserved a more special anniversary though?”
You smile, kissing his cheek. “That’s sweet of you. But you took the time to leave work early and bring me my favorite food. It’s more than enough for me.”
He ponders your reassurance for a moment, before he nods and delivers his own kiss on your cheek before settling back into the couch with you. Your attention resumes on the show, as your mind drifts away to the sensation of Todoroki’s fingers drawing patterns on the back of your neck. Something in his pose says that there’s something internally weighing in his mind, but your consciousness drifts away before you can linger too long on it.
Tumblr media
The following morning, you wake up in bed with your head still in the clouds and the pressure of his lips still on your cheek. Todoroki must have carried you to bed last night after you fell asleep.
After feeling the empty space next to you, you assume that he must have woken up early for work. Makes sense, considering that he took an early afternoon yesterday—he’s probably trying to make up the extra tasks and paperwork he had to miss. You smile to yourself, still in a haze about yesterday, before you sit up and inch yourself towards the end of the bed. Your hand blindly goes to your nightstand to reach for your phone, but you feel a cup and a slip of paper taped to the cup in the middle of your journey to get there.
Your gaze turns towards your nightstand, eyes trying to figure out just what exactly your fingers had touched, as you settle on a glass of water that had not been there the previous night. On the glass is a post-it note, reflecting back Todoroki’s neat penmanship. Happy Anniversary (take #2) the note says. The sight makes your eyebrows furrow in response. A take two anniversary? What does that mean?
You think about this for a moment; however, draw up no ideas as to what exactly this is in reference to. You decide to continue with the rest of your morning route, mentally adding a shower into your checklist given that you were unable to take one last night due to you falling asleep earlier than expected. You’re still in one of Todoroki’s t-shirts that he has left over at your place, although it seems like he has removed the shorts you were wearing. You grab your own shirt and pants for today, tucking everything you need underneath your arm and opening your bedroom door.
The original plan is just to walk across the hall to your bathroom, but the sight of something unfamiliar in your living room catches your attention as you stop in your path and perform a double take. You think you see a small array of light pink dahlia bouquets scattered around the limited view you have of your living room. It’s a sight that makes you frown. You don’t remember ordering any sort of flower arrangement.
Continuing to frown, you walk down the hallway until the hallway opens up into the living room. The sight makes your eyes widen and drop the clothes you were holding in your arms, because your entire living room is covered with dahlias. From the coffee table, to the couch, to the floor in front of your television, to your kitchen table—every little spot is filled with pink tin cans of dahlia arrangements.
Your lips part as the frown continues etched into your eyebrows. What on earth was going on? “S-Shouto?” you call out nervously. You angle your chin towards the kitchen all while keeping your eyes on the dahlia field in front of you.
“In the kitchen,” he returns back.
You blink, turning towards the direction of the kitchen. For the first time of the morning, you hear the faint bubbling of a pot.
Hesitantly, you shuffle from the living room into the entrance of the kitchen, staring cautiously at the back of your boyfriend as his arms move back and forth across the stove. The sight of Todoroki cooking is relatively uncommon in this relationship, which only deepens your confusion—because what the fuck?
At your prolonged silence, Todoroki quickly spares you a glance over his shoulder. He smiles slightly, likely over the fact that you’re still wearing yesterday’s clothes. “Good morning, baby. Did you have a good dream last night?”
You look off to the side, the crease still not disappearing from between your eyes. “I think I’m still in one.”
At the stove, he exhales a gentle laugh. “Fortunately for you, that’s not the case.” With that said, he turns the dial in order to shut off the stove. He uses a ladle to pour some of the unidentifiable soup into one of your favorite bowls (the ones with the Sumikko Gurashi characters along the outside edges), before turning around and unveiling the contents. It’s a bowl of miso soup. “There’s rice in the rice cooker. I may or may not have had to ask Bakugo for the receipt.” He gestures towards the kitchen table. “Why don’t you sit down and I’ll bring the food out to you?”
Suspicious. Despite that, you nod and navigate through your apartment until you reach the kitchen table. You slide tentatively into your usual chair, fidgeting with your fingers as you continue to hear glassware rummaging about in the kitchen.
You keep quiet, even as Todoroki emerges with a tray of the soup, a separate bowl of rice, and a tea boiled egg. You continue to remain silent as he places the tray in front of you, as he kisses the top of your head.
“Eat up, okay?” he says softly, returning back to the kitchen—probably to make his own tray of breakfast.
He reappears a few seconds later with his own set of food, watching you carefully as he takes a seat next to you.
“Shouto,” you start slowly. “Is this about that take two post-it note I saw earlier today?”
Todoroki continues to stare at you. “Yes,” he finally relents. “I just want to give you a more memorable first anniversary. So I’ve prepared a small list of things for us to do together throughout the day.
Your lips part slightly, vaguely remembering the conversation from last night. Surely, he really hadn’t thought you were lying about how satisfied you were with your relationship?
He must see the troubled look in your eye, because he smiles and reaches over to grasp your hand. “This has nothing to do with our conversation yesterday. I understand that you were happy with the evening we had. I enjoyed it as well. But I just want to give you more and make our first anniversary a little more special—will you let me do that?”
You stare back at Todoroki for a moment, briefly pondering the situation. While you really were satisfied with how the events of last night played out, something tells you that Todoroki will not let this go. Once he’s determined, nothing can stop him.
Plus, you are curious to see what he has planned for the rest of the day.
So you take the soup spoon Todoroki placed down on your tray, dipping it into the soup, and bringing it to your lips. “I’m sure I’ll love everything you have in-store.” You shoot one last glance at Todoroki, just in time to see a slightly wider but much warmer smile appear across his lips.
Tumblr media
After the pair of you get through breakfast and you are able to waddle through the forest of dahlia bouquets that quite literally covers every inch of your living room, you finally take a shower with a more reassured mind about what the fuck is going on. To think that you almost walked right past the field of dahlia’s on your way to the bathroom—now, it is all you can think about.
You emerge a few minutes later with makeup and a dress (Shouto’s favorite dress on you), and take a secret pride in the way Todoroki’s eyes linger on you for an extra moment before the pair of you are walking out of the door and down the stairs of your apartment building. You don’t ask what he had been doing while you were getting ready, too busy living inside the excitement of your mind to even consider any possibility of what Todoroki’s mid-morning, post-breakfast plans may be.
You get an answer to that just half an hour later, when you emerge from the subway doors that open up onto a marble platform, built with an overhead balcony and some white benches along the platform. The train tracks that mark the train’s opposing direction are right across as the doors open. But as you turn right and make your way down the marble flooring, it opens up into a wide-open, starting with the greenest grass you’ve ever seen extending far behind the horizon that touches your eyes.
Your gaze widens as your hands rest upon the railing separating the train platform from the park. “Shouto!” you cry out, looking over your shoulder to face him as you start jumping slightly on the balls of your feet. As your eyes land on Todoroki, he’s watching you with the softest smile possible. “This is so pretty!”
“You think so?” he asks, coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist. The openly affectionate nature of Todoroki’s touch makes you smile. “That’s good to hear.”
As soon as he lets go of you, you whirl around to look at him, finally noticing the abnormally large bag he’s got slung around his shoulder. You reach forward, fidgeting slightly with the strap. “What’s this?” you ask, the smile still present in your voice.
Todoroki shrugs, a bashful smile itching itself across his face. “I may or may not have made you lunch while you were in the shower. That’s why we’re here—to walk around the park and then have a picnic.”
You can’t get over how fast your heart is racing, the thoughtfulness of your boyfriend’s actions, all because he wants to give you a more memorable first anniversary celebration.
The smile so obviously spills past your lips, because Todoroki’s smile widens.
“This is so sweet, Shouto,” you whisper, leaning over to sneak a kiss. He notices you coming from a mile away, of course he does, because he returns your kiss softly. You pull away first, still grinning with your gaze fixated on his mouth. “I’m excited to go exploring.”
He reaches over and laces your fingers together. “Then let’s go.”
The pair of you head for the marble staircase, taking you down onto a concrete pathway that winds up into trees and lakes ahead. On either side of the pathway is grass that seems to melt underneath the shape of your shoes. The trees range from single trunk growth into multi clustered trunks that each taper out into its own collection of leaves and branches.
The breeze of today’s spring weather ruffles through the trees, through clothes and hair strands. Keeping your hands joined together, you allow Todoroki to lead the way through the park. He mentions something about some sights he wants you to see, and you entrust that it’ll add to the experience.
A little up the pathway holds an open air flower garden, surrounded by broken down brick walls and flower vines that creep along the surface. Along the different pathway holds different flowers held in pots or ones planted into the ground. The pathways lead you either to wide-open spaces of grass or down more secluded hallways surrounded by brick and vinery. It is a world unlike anything you have ever experienced in person before, always watching through the lens of an animated feature film—it is a place that feels so hidden and untouched from the real world that it feels like you’ve been whisked off to a magical dream.
It is a place you weave in and out of with Todoroki linked under your arm as you point out the various flowers that are covering walls, tucked into pots, or interwoven with other flowers of various shapes and heights. He doesn’t say much throughout the journey, occasionally nodding or making comments about how certain flowers would look pretty in your own apartment building.
“Shouto, I’m pretty sure you bought me enough dahlia’s that I can’t fit anymore flowers in my living room,” you tease, giggling when you notice the slight pink that dusts along Todoroki’s cheeks, a color that only darkens when you brush your lips against his skin.
Once the pair of you make your way through the entire flower garden, Todoroki suggests that it’s time to settle down and find a spot for lunch. You leave the garden, continuing down the sidewalk path, passing through various other families enjoying a picnic or pet owners taking their pets out for an afternoon walk.
Eventually, Todoroki finds a spot hidden underneath the sun ripples that break through the leaves above, shadows that curl around and about in time to the breeze of the wind around. With your help, he produces the picnic blanket folded within his bag. With the flick of his wrist, a plaid pattern of white and yellow unfurls out onto the grassy ground.
Immediately, you plop yourself down onto the blanket to prevent it from flying away. Todoroki joins you quickly enough, pulling the strap of his bag off his shoulder and into an empty corner of the blanket. “Are you hungry?” he asks, reaching over to unzip the bag before he starts fishing out two Studio Ghibli themed bento containers that you own.
You blink, face breaking out into a grin. “Shouto, these are so cute!”
“Oh, you say that now,” he starts immediately, laying out the boxes carefully in front of you. “But wait until you see how it actually looks. Bakugo’s instructions could only help me so much.”
You brush off his worries with the shake of your head. “I’m sure it looks awesome.”
Despite Todoroki’s prolonged worries, he still allows you to uncap the bento boxes. Inside are your favorite foods categorized into their different boxes. There are rice rolls shaped into bears, those famous octopus sausages you’ve seen in animes and some vegetables. You don’t realize how widely you’re grinning at what lays out before you until you realize your cheeks are starting to ache.
“Shouto,” you whine, looking over at him just as he looks up. “These are so cute. I love it so, so much. Thank you.”
His gaze lingers on your face before he leans forward, nudging his forehead against yours. “You’re welcome.”
Tumblr media
By the time the pair of you return back to your apartment, the orange is starting to curl into the sky yet your head is still in the clouds. Todoroki helps you shuffle through the field of dahlias’ that still overrun your living room—placing them in various shady and sunny areas around your apartment. Once there’s a clear path from your front door, to the hallway, and to the couch, the pair of you agree to stop trying to organize the dahlias’.
“Do you want some tea?” you ask, making your way towards the kitchen and opening up your cabinet to shift through some bags of tea you own.
“Sure,” he returns, following you into the kitchen and grabbing two mugs from another shelf on the other side. He crosses over to reach you, placing the two mugs on the counter next to you before wrapping his arms around your waist. Gingerly, he rests his chin on your shoulder.
After a few minutes of silence, a loud pounding sounds from the front door. The suddenness of the sound makes you jump, but Todoroki seems to expect it because he just turns toward the noise. One of his thumbs rubs soothingly at the exposed skin at your waist. “Who the fuck is that?” you ask.
“Want to come see?” Todoroki offers cheekily, leading you to the front door. He opens it, only to find that there is no one on the other side—rather, there are two bags on the floor. The first one appears to be from a clothing shop with a brand logo on the side, while the second one looks to be a rather large take-out bag. Kneeling down, Todoroki grabs the bags and brings them inside. He hands the bag of clothes to you. “This is for us.”
Frowning, you take the bag and peer inside. After rummaging briefly through the crisp curl of tissue paper, you discover two pajama sets inside that feel like it was crafted from the softest fabric imaginable. Like it was made from a cloud, or something crazy like that. Did he really… have more things planned for you?
You look over at Todoroki again. “Shouto, what is this for?” you ask.
He fishes through the take-out bag and produces a pizza box. “A new and improved movie night,” he explains, placing the bag down and opening the box to display a heart shaped pizza. On the other side of the cardboard is a post-it note. YOU’RE LUCKY I LIKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND, the note rests in big, aggressive handwriting. “I asked Bakugo to get me these things,” he explains hastily, as if you wouldn’t be able to tell from the note. “I was thinking we could wrap the night up with a pillow fort and cuddling.”
You blink once, twice, before you try for a smile. But it doesn’t reach your eyes, and Todoroki can tell.
He frowns in concern as he closes the pizza box and gathers you up in his arms. “Hey, what’s wrong? Do you not like it?”
You shake your head. “That’s not it,” you reassure, reaching over to grip the lapels of his jacket. “Shouto, this was all so sweet. And I loved getting the flowers and having a picnic with you, but I don’t need fancy pajamas and flower bouquets—it makes me feel bad having you spend so much money for me. Just being with you has been more than enough.”
Todoroki tilts his head. “But you’re very important to me,” he says, talking as if he’s discussing the weather. “Why would I not want to do these things for you? You’ve never been in a relationship before—I just want to do what I can to make sure that today is memorable for you. I know I didn’t need to spend money, but I did because I wanted to, because I love you more than anything. Is that okay?”
You press your lips together to hide the oncoming smile that threatens to overtake your features. “You’re too good to me,” you finally relent, sneaking a glance over at Todoroki. “I love you too, by the way.”
He smiles. “Good,” he says, pinching your chin between his fingers and leaning over to kiss you. It’s a gesture that deepens quickly between the two of you, as your fingers grip the edge of his t-shirt while his own start to fiddle with the buttons of your blouse.
The movie night can wait.

in cinders | 5 | conversations
Tumblr media
pairing: Todoroki Shouto / Reader
length: 24,362 words / 9 chapters
summary: You’re just trying to fairy godmother your best friend into a happily ever after. If only the prince would stop hanging around and cooperate.
tags: cinderella AU, prince!Shouto, romance, misunderstandings, reader-insert
warnings: aged up characters, eventual smut
You were uncharacteristically quiet in the days that followed.
Ochako watched you nervously like a mother with a newborn, sensitive to your every breath. You couldn’t take a step without her at your elbow, and every time you turned a corner it felt like you were bumping into her. You felt smothered, not only by her attentions, but by the thought that you’d failed her. More than that, you’d endangered her, as well as all the other kitchen servants, with your stupid mission to make her a princess.
Of course something in the prince’s food would turn the castle upside down. And of course he’d fixate on the courtier who’d offended him. Of course he’d seen the necklace as a pathway to the Lady Uraraka’s friend, to seek her out and punish her. He was a royal; they were just like that.
You thought sadly of Ochako and her moony-eyed affection for the prince. You’d been so certain he was looking for her. A lady of unusual tastes, Kamiko had said, and quite pretty. He’d certainly been looking for her at that point. Why had he instead questioned the staff about the Lady Ito?
The only person who wasn’t treating you like a porcelain doll in danger of shattering was Kamiko. She seemed convinced that your reticence was an effort to leave her out of the intrigue. She’d spent all her spare time hanging over you suspiciously like an uppity storm cloud.
Your irritation with her was doubled by the fact that you hadn’t been sleeping well, feeling like soldiers would barge into your rooms any moment and march you to the gallows. You’d wake early in the morning hours, sitting up in your bed and feeling the noose tighten around your neck.
It was on one such morning that you awoke in the dark with the thought that you couldn’t stand to go back to bed. You dressed and picked your way through the drafty halls into dark kitchens. Shivering to yourself, you lit the fires and put on milk to warm.
For something to do with your hands, you began to roll out the dough for the day’s bread, cutting it into pieces and weaving them together into thick braids. You shaped others into boules and washed them over with egg and another with a dusting of more flour. When your milk began to bubble, you took the pot off the fire, pouring it into a chipped mug and settling down against the warming stones of the oven.
As you waited for your milk to cool, you became aware of soft footsteps in the corridor. This was the hour that all servants laid abed, exhausted by the prior day’s work. Only the king’s guard patrolled the castle, and none would be in the servant’s halls, padding so quietly towards the kitchens.
Fear quickening your heart, you grabbed a coal iron.
But the broad-shouldered figure who appeared in the kitchens had you dropping the iron and sinking to your knees.
“Your highness!” you choked out, pressing your forehead to the cold stone.
“Apologies,” came a soft murmur. “I did not think anyone would be awake.”
Your brow furrowed against the floor. Did he often creep around the kitchens like a bandit in the dark? What purpose would a prince have for sneaking around his own castle?
“Please rise,” he intoned. “I did not mean to disrupt your work.”
His gaze fixed on the coal iron you’d dropped and a surprised look came into his eyes. His full mouth parted.
“Did you mean to strike me?” he asked.
You panicked. “No! I mean--well, yes, but not you. I thought you were a bandit.”
That wry curl of his mouth was back, the same as he’d worn that evening at the ball. “I must have really angered you with that show in my chambers. You were that girl, weren’t you?”
The bottom fell out of your stomach. He thought you were avenging yourself for the interrogation? “No! I wouldn’t! I mean, I didn’t! I wouldn’t hit you!”
A soft laugh escaped the prince and you stared in shock. Was he teasing you?
He waved an elegant hand. “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to bait you.” He took a breath. “You must have been terrified. Bakugou, he’s--well, he’s a good friend but he can be a lot. It must have been frightening for you.”
You climbed shakily to your feet, biting your lip. He sounded sincerely contrite and you hardly knew what to make of it.
In acknowledgement, you offered, “It must have been scarier finding that necklace in your food and knowing that it could have easily been poisoned. I....I am sorry for that.”
You made no mention of exactly how sorry you were.
He studied you intently. You noticed he was dressed plainly, a soft linen shirt, unadorned, tucked somewhat untidily into simple breeches. He looked as though he had not planned to be seen, none of his usual finery decorating his garments. You tried to ignore the way the fabric of his trousers skimmed closely to his powerful thighs.
He shrugged, drawing your eyes back up to his face. His scar looked fainter in the flickering lights of the oven flames.
“Please do not trouble yourself over it. It was hardly the most frightening thing that’s ever happened to me.”
You looked at him in question.
His grey and blue gaze flicked over your face. He seemed to consider you for a moment, then spoke quietly. “How long have you been at the castle?”
You thought for a minute. “Most of my life - fifteen years perhaps?”
Prince Shouto nodded. “You would not have known of this, then. When I was younger, my father’s enemies sent an operative to kidnap me. They sought to use me as a bargaining chip as they sued for peace.”
You gawped at him, aghast at the thought of anyone using a child as a tool of politics.
He continued, “I was young and did not yet understand my own power. I lost control - half of their fortress was swallowed by a sheet of ice so thick they could not break through. The other half burned.”
You gasped, “It’s true then!”
He stared at you, and you flushed pink.
“They, um--they say that you can bring down a fortress with a wave of your hand. They also say that Captain Bakugou has two heads, claws, and was borne to the castle on a wind from hell. I had thought your power only a rumor such as that.”
The corner of the prince’s mouth twitched. “Would you like to see?”
You leaned towards him in interest, unable to help yourself.
He held out his left hand. A soft flicker lit up the dark around his palm and a sharp breath escaped you as flame filled his open hand, licking over the skin but leaving it completely unblemished.
You smiled. “That’s incredible! It must be so useful.”
Prince Shouto let the flame build in his palm.
You stared, mesmerized, as it burned, wondering on the uses of a power like that. “You’d never have to find the matches in the dark. Your tea would never get cold.”
He laughed and his breath stirred the flames. “I suppose it is rather useful. You can read after hours without having to leave bed to fetch the candles.”
You quieted at that, and his sharp eyes quickly caught it.
“I’ve offended you. I apologize," he said.
You shook your head, stepping back from him. The cold stone of the kitchen floors burned under your thin shoes. “Not at all. It’s just -- I can’t read.”
A glimmer of surprise swam over his handsome face. “I didn’t realize. Forgive me.”
His eyes were bright in the dark of the kitchens and you felt horribly seen. You turned back to the bread on the counter, and an uncomfortable silence settled in the air between you. The flames in his broad hand guttered out.
Finally, you spoke. “Do--do you always sneak around in your own kitchens in the dead of night?”
You heard the fabric of his shirt rustle softly as he shifted. “If I can’t sleep.”
You set about piling the bread onto sheets for baking, not looking at him. “Why can’t you sleep, if I might ask?”
He was quiet for a moment. “I’ve been...looking for something.”
Despite yourself, your heartbeat picked up in your chest. Looking for something. Did he mean the Lady Ito? Or perhaps Ochako? It had been a few days, could he still be searching for her?
You considered what kind of question might lead you to answer without giving yourself away. What would a servant who hadn’t been there know of the situation?
Before you could ask, however, the sound of footsteps in the hall broke the quiet of the kitchens.
Prince Shouto straightened abruptly. “I should go. I’m afraid your reputation would suffer for being found alone with a man.”
You quickly curtsied, inclining your head to hide the blush that dusted your cheeks. Of course no one would think that the prince would deign to--with you--you couldn’t think it.
As you rose, he hesitated. The sound of footsteps drawing nearer, however, finally sent him dashing to the door to the palace courtyards. He sketched a quick bow, and was gone.
As the door shut behind him, Kamiko swept into the kitchens like a hurricane.
“Cinders. What an unfortunate surprise. Where’s your pet?”
You frowned, realizing she meant Ochako.
“Fuck off, Kamiko. It’s too early for me to deal with you.”
Kamiko sneered. “Careful with your tone, wench. Speak to me like that again and the housekeeper will have you crawling in the fireplaces for a week.”
All your anxiety and confusion from the last few days suddenly felt like it was boiling over. The words spilled out before you could stop them. “Try it, you spineless fucking flop.”
Kamiko’s eyes widened and she stepped back. “You disrespectful little bitch. I’ll have you on your knees in the ashes."
You growled, your mind going completely white with anger. Before you knew what you were doing, you found yourself picking up your forgotten glass of milk and heaving it in her direction. The milk arced through the air in a white wave, slapping over her neck and shoulders with a wet thump.
Kamiko screamed and rushed to the doorway, disappearing down the hall. “I will ruin you, cinders! You will regret ever crossing me.”
She sound of her quick steps faded down the hallway. All of a sudden, the reality of what you’d done rushed back to you and you stared at the empty mug in your hand in shock.
What had you done? You stood there, dumbfounded by your own actions.
It wasn’t long before the housekeeper was rushing into the kitchens, Kamiko in tow. You held still as she delivered your punishment, biting your lip to hold in the sounds that her lashings threatened to force from you. You wouldn’t give Kamiko the satisfaction.
Much later, as you scraped the ashes from the deadened hearth, you wondered what had gotten into you. You thought long into the night as you scrubbed the blackened stone of the fireplace, feeling the raw skin of your wounds twinge as your shoulder moved. One conversation with Prince Shouto and you thought you were queen of the kitchens?
You resolved to carry out your punishment and watch yourself carefully after.
After all, you could get through this. It wasn’t as if you hadn’t been in this position before. Your wounds would take a couple of weeks to heal, and it would take just as long for your sleep schedule and your sheets to recover, but they would. You’d be back to normal in no time.
But Kamiko...she had threatened to ruin you. You wondered at that. Scrubbing soot out of a fireplace again hardly seemed the ticket for a promise that foreboding.
But as you returned to your rooms that evening, the implications of her threat became clear. Ochako sat wide awake on her straw mattress, finger outstretched towards your pallet. Your heart leapt into your throat as you noticed its state. It had been violently overturned with straw stuffing spilling messily out of the sides to tumble down onto the floor in tufty piles. Underneath it, a notably empty space stared back at you.
Lady Utsushimi’s dress--which you had never had a chance to return to the laundry rooms--was gone.

I saw this picture and thought of a scenario where everytime reader goes to Touya's house, Shouto inevitably shows up to give her puppy eyes and insist on hanging out with them ("bc he likes her so much!" :D). And while reader is fawning over him bc he's just adorable, her boyfriend is doing his best to behave in front of her, instead of throwing hands with a literal kid for ruining their make-out session on the couch.

Aw, Touya being the big brother but they constantly annoy each other?
Omg, so cute! This is so lovely! Haha... I'll ad this indirectly to my WIP list....
Imagine how Touya would react when you're in the middle of a make-out session in his room, he's all hot and ready to go and little Shouto barges in, yelling "I'm hungry, Oni-san!!!!"
While grinning at you, who's cheeks light up like candles, embarrassed to the bone.
Yeah... I love lil brothers.
Touya hates them 🤣
💙
Ps: sorry this took so long to answer

A/N: Debating on whether or not I want to write a second part to this (Pro Hero!AU)
The next request I have is more fun and sweet, I promise
p.s. here’s a link to my masterlist (my bnha section is embarrassingly small, please send in some more requests!)
“I can’t pretend anymore!” + “That sounds a lot like a ‘goodbye.’” from this prompt list (feel free to send in a sentence(s) and a character)
Part two of this fic is available here: Despite the Fights, I Still Love You
Summary: You knew what you were getting into when you decided to date a pro hero, all of the secrecy, the late nights waiting up for Shouto to get home. Despite this, you couldn’t help the anger forming whenever he’d miss yet another date night, the nausea you felt when you saw him fighting a tough battle, or the wave of jealousy that came whenever you saw hundreds of fans online talk about how “good” with whoever he was working with. So, you had to ask yourself: is it even worth it anymore?
Words: 1,951
In all honesty, you should’ve known that dating Shouto would be tough, he was a pro hero after all. So, you felt as though you should be a bit more understanding when it came to certain things, like not telling people that you two were dating, in fear that you’d be used as a pawn for the villains one day, or whenever you had to rush to the hospital because he pushed himself too hard, the fear gripping your heart as you prayed that he wouldn’t be dead. However, it was hard to be so understanding when it came to being stood up, once again, in your own damn home, which was currently where you were now.
It was your four year anniversary with Shouto, and you wanted to surprise him with a stay-at-home date, since neither of you liked to go outside anyway. You had texted him earlier, making him promise that he’d be home tonight, but gave no further instructions after that. For the past few months, you’ve felt that you relationship with the man had been at a sort of stand-still, or perhaps it was declining, you weren’t really sure. It seemed as though every time the two of you could finally be alone, Shouto was called in for work. Whether it be due to a villain outbreak, a rescue mission, or just to give a surprise lecture at U.A., you two just never seemed to have the time for each other anymore. It also didn’t help that, whenever he’d come back home, he either rushing off to bed to sleep, or you were already passed out on the couch, waiting for him. Sometimes, a small voice in your head was telling you that he just didn’t care anymore, that you two feel into some sort of lull, where he knew you’d always be there, so there was no need to try anymore. Of course, you’d push those thoughts back, feeling guilty that you’d even think that way. The man was busy, there was no way he could possibly be in two places at once.
So, you decided to change things, starting with your anniversary dinner. Tonight, you two would finally get to relax together and have an actual conversation. You truly did go all out, setting the table to resemble some fancy restaurant, lighting candles to set the mood, and even going out of your way to buy some roses from a cute little flower shop not too far away from you. Unsurprisingly, you decided to make soba, hoping that the dish would make your boyfriend smile, something you hadn’t seen in a while.
Once you had everything all set up, you rushed off to your shared bedroom to finish getting ready. Taking off your normal loungewear, you slipped into a nice pair of pants and a simple top, not wanting to be too dressed up, but not too underdressed. Checking yourself over in the mirror, you let out a deep breath, one that you didn’t know you’d been holding in.
Exiting your room, you decided to sit down at the table, a content smile resting upon your lips. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t excited. Quite honestly, you were looking forward to ogling your handsome boyfriend while the two of you ate, since God knows how long it’d been since you’ve been able to do that. Also, to be a bit more sappy, you were just elated that Shouto had found the time to come home early and eat a proper meal with you. Though you didn’t want to admit it, you often found yourself worried about him, not only because the line of work he was in, but also because you were worried that he wasn’t taking proper care of himself. You could tell that, every night he came home and passed out, that he wasn’t getting enough rest, and, perhaps your eyes had deceived you, but one early morning, around three, you were almost certain you saw him just pound down a packet of espresso. Not mix it with boiling water, no, but just eating straight up powder. So in your mind, you felt justified in your worries about his eating habits.
Fidgeting with your hands, you looked up at the clock. He was currently ten minutes late. You didn’t worry too much about that, since you knew that Shouto was probably finishing up some last minute paperwork. After all, he did promise that he’d be here tonight.
However, ten minutes soon turned into twenty, and then twenty turned into an hour, then another hour, and another, until the man was three hours late. To say that you were upset would be an understatement: you were angry. This was the fifth time the man blew you off, and those little voices of doubt were starting to come back. Your patience was running thin, and you could only be understanding for so long.
Deciding to wait just a bit longer, you slumped back into your chair, pulling out your phone to do a bit of mindless scrolling through social media. Unfortunately for you, this was probably the worst decision you could’ve made for yourself. As soon as you opened your app, you were bombarded with pictures of “Pro Hero: Shouto” with a trainee at his agency who was just a bit too close for comfort. Normally, you weren’t the type to get jealous, as you were used to seeing him be fawned over by thousands of girls and boys, but, the way that he was smiling with her, that was what threw you off.
You hadn’t seen him look so happy in months. Seeing that, some girl could get him to smile like that, but you couldn’t, it wore off the last of your seemingly endless patience. Looking at the comments underneath the photo didn’t help either. Most of them were about how “cute” they would look together, wondering if she’s his secret “girlfriend.” It pissed you off. You were no longer angry, but instead full of seething rage and jealousy.
Rather than hurting what was left of your pride, you stood up, nearly knocking down the chair with how aggressive you were, and began to pack up your dinner. Rummaging through your drawers, you took a Tupperware dish and carelessly tossed the soba in, slamming the lid down once you were done. Afterwards, you started blowing out the candles, which, wasn’t that big of a task, since most of them fizzled out on their own.
In your own silent fit of rage, you didn’t notice the door opening, revealing your irritatingly attractive boyfriend. Hearing the slams of the cabinets, he winced slightly. Walking towards the kitchen, he peeked his head in, curiosity overtaking his tiredness.
“(Y/N)?”
Now, Shouto wasn’t really fearful of anything, as he’d pretty much seen everything in his line of work. But, when you whipped your head around so fast that he was sure you’d given yourself whiplash, he felt terrified. Not because he was afraid you’d do anything, but because he’d never seen you look so angry and, heartbroken.
“(Y/N),” He repeated, slowly walking towards you, “Are you—“
“Don’t you dare ask me if I’m okay.”
He stopped in his tracks, unsure of what his next move should be. It probably wasn’t in his best interest if he continued to move towards you, as you looked ready to tear his head off his body, which he had no doubt you could. But he also didn’t want to just stand there and look like a moron, though, it was his current and only plan of action. You didn’t seem to appreciate his silence, as your eyes seemed to glow with frustration.
Was it a bad time to admit how radiant he thought you looked?
“I can’t pretend anymore!” You yelled, throwing your hands up in the air in exasperation.
He blinked, not quite processing things. “Pretend..?”
You pointed a finger at the man, stalking up to him. “I can’t keep pretending that everything’s fine when it’s not!”
Before he could interject, you poked his chest with your index finger, “No! You listen to me now, I’ve given you plenty of opportunities to talk to me.”
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to be with you? I’d like to think that I’m a fairly considerate person, but you’re pushing me past my own perceptions of patience! These past few months you’ve barely said anything to me! The best I get is a ‘good morning,’ or ‘sorry, I’m too tired.’
“For the first few weeks, I could handle it. I knew you probably needed your space, so I did my best to give it to you. But weeks started turning into months, Shouto. Did you ever think of how your shitty distancing would impact me?”
You could see the annoyance welling up in his eyes, but you were too angry to care at this point.
“Don’t think that I don’t see those pictures of you and the trainee, either. I haven’t seen you smile like that in months. At this point, I just need to know if you’re even invested in this relationship anymore?”
Shouto staggered back, as if you hit him. It wasn’t long until his anger rivaled yours, though.
“You can’t just pin this all on me. A relationship is a two person job, you know.”
You honestly felt like you were on fire with how much anger rushed through your body. “I’m aware! I’ve been doing most of the work to keep it afloat!”
He scoffed, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes a bit. “You’re being dramatic, you know I can’t be here all the time, I have a job to—“
“Yes, yes, I know. You have a ‘job to do.’ I just wish you could be a bit more sympathetic to the situation! Or, better yet, make some time for us.”
“What do you expect me to do? Quit working as a hero?” You’d never seen so much contempt in his eyes, how absolutely upset he was.
“Why are you putting words in my mouth? All I want is for you to put some effort into this relationship. You assume that I’m just always going to be here, but I have needs too, you know!”
He sneered, no warmth behind his eyes. “You knew what you were getting into when you decided to date me,”
Just like that, all of the anger had dissipated from your body. With the adrenaline leaving your body, all you felt was how tired you were, how your bones ached, and how much you just wanted to be done with all of this. It felt as though you were just fighting a losing battle, and any shred of fight you had in you had suddenly disappeared. Looking back up at Shouto, you sighed.
“You know what? You’re right, I did know what it meant to date you. Had I known where we’d be now, I’d seriously question whether this was the right decision.”
Side stepping, you pushed away from him, slowly walking towards your shared bedroom. “I’m tired of fighting for us when you obviously don’t care,”
You could hear the small gasp coming from him, but you were too tired to care. You felt drained and all you wanted to do was sleep. Before you could turn the corner, his voice froze you in place:
“That sounds a lot like ‘goodbye.’”
Shrugging your shoulders, you took a steadying breath. “Maybe it is,”
Looking over your shoulder, you let a pitiful smile grace your face.
“Oh, and Shouto?”
His eyes met yours, tears threatening to fall over at any moment.
“Happy anniversary.”

Wind whipped around the young Prince as he and his dragon flew high in the skies. A musical hum could be heard from Katsuki as he thought of the girl he was on his way to see. Eijirou could even hear it and had to stop himself from laughing. His rider was head over heels for this mystery girl and Eijirou was happy to see this side of him.
The dragon looked down at the familiar forest and looked for the cottage that Katsuki had told him about, the one where his future bride was expecting him.
“Oi! Shitty scales, land in that clearing, I don’t you need freaking out her parents or some shit.” Katsuki ordered.
Eijirou let out a groan and looked for another clearing, circling the forest, his eyes piercing through the dark evening til he found a spot and landed.
The Dragon prince jumped off and tried to dust himself off, make himself look presentable as he tried to fix his hair just a bit and began practising what he was gonna say.
“Alright. Hello. Hello. You are the light of my fucking life and you’re gonna marry me. No, that’s lame.” Katsuki walked around the clearing, quickly picking up wildflowers, hoping that (y/n) would like them.
“I want you to rule beside me, as my Queen, we will... we will...”
Eijirou rolled on his back, a sound that could be called laughter, leaving his jaws only to be hit in the head with a large boot.
“SHUT UP!” The ash-blonde screamed, his face red with embarrassment. He had never proposed before; he had never been in love before. He was terrified but excited.
Katsuki looked down at the ring his mother had given him.
Would (y/n) like it? Was it enough?
Of course not, all the jewellery in the treasury wasn’t enough, all the gold in the world wasn’t enough. But Katsuki would start with his and build a hoard of jewels for her in her honour.
The Prince adjusted his cloak and made sure all his best features were on display, fluffing out his cloak and running a hand through his spiky ash-blonde locks.
He even breathed into his hand to check his breath.
“Alright... stay out sight,” Kastuki ordered.
Eijirou gave out a whine and flopped on his back, rolling back and forth as if throwing a tantrum. The dragon wanted to meet (y/n) already, the curiosity was killing him.
“I’m gonna lead her here, but if you even think of pulling that cuddly shit or lick her of something, I’m gonna make a new armour set out of you, got it?”
The Prince’s best friend gave him a nod of approval before, curling up and making himself comfortable in the grass meadow.
“Stay out of sight, I’ll be back soon.”
Katsuki marched through the forest, humming (y/n) ’s song as he went, he got excited to look into (y/n) ’s eyes once more, lay claim to her lips and then ride off together. Even the thought of her large doe eyes and bright smile brought a genuine smile to his own face.
Out of the forest, he finally came upon the cottage, it was small and nothing like the home he had grown up in. He couldn’t wait to show her his home and the rest of the country, share his world with her.
“Okay. ‘I am Prince Katsuki of the Dragon Kingdom and... I am going to marry your daughter.’ Perfect.” Katsuki gave a loud knock on the door while puffing out his chest. He heard a ‘come in’ and did as the voice said, strutting in as if he was coming home, ready to hand the flowers to his dream girl.
The house was dark, not a soul in sight. Something wasn’t right.
“Hello? (Y/N)?” Katsuki called out as he stepped into the quaint dark cottage, an eerie feeling settling over him. The slamming of the door behind him made him jump and then all chaos broke out.
Katsuki was jumped from all sides, ropes were thrown and wrapped around him, trying to pull him towards the ground, but he fought up the multiple attackers. He could hardly see, and he was vastly outnumbered, there must have been ten minions all trying to subdue the Prince.
“Ya shitty nobodies! I’ll kill y-” A gag was thrown over his mouth before he could finish. Even when he was tightly wrapped up in strong ropes and gagged he was still trying to make an escape.
A shadow emerged from the corner, carrying a candle so they could get a good look at the captured soul. Katsuki squinted as the hot light was brought close to his face.
“Well, well. This is a pleasant surprise. I set my trap for a peasant, but I’ve got a prince. And not just any prince, a Dragon prince.” Overhaul’s muffled voice taunted before letting out a malicious cackle.
The fierce prince continued to fight and struggle against the various ropes, his ruby eyes glaring at the villain. If looks could kill, Overhaul would be six feet under already.
“Away with him.” Overhaul ordered as he gestured towards the door. Overhaul’s minions grunted as they struggled with their captured Prince, it took all of them to drag him out the door.
“I have the perfect lodgings for his’ highness.’” The villain mocked as he walked after them into the dark night.

“What in the world?”
Queen Mistuki walked through the gates with her entourage, the vast kingdom was quiet except for the sound of snores that played like a strange symphony.
“Everyone’s... sleeping?” Denki observed as he looked around, poking a soldier who was leaning on his spear for balance as he slept.
“Keep your guard up, it could be a trap. Mina, be ready to transform and fly us outta here if we need it.” Mitsuki ordered the pink dragon shifter, who gave her a ‘yes ma’am’.
The small party walked their way through the beautiful kingdom, soon making to the castle where no one stopped them or even greeted them as they made their way through.
The ash-blonde Queen quickly opened the castle doors only to be met with the end of a sword.
“What is your business here.” A young prince of red and white hair announced, staring at the large group with his broadsword pointed. He would protect the Queens and the sleeping Princess from whatever came through this door.
“........”
The red-clad Queen burst out in laughter, clutching her stomach as she bent over, Denki, Mina and Sero all looked at their Queen slightly worried for her mental well-being.
“AHahahahahahaah You... aHahaa you got spunk. And that glare! You must be that batard Enji’s son.” Mitsuki belted out, her loud voice filling the entire castle, even reaching the women who looked over the Princess in the tallest tower.
Shouto’s glare only grew colder as he hated that comparison more than anything, and he stepped forward with his sword, only to clash swords with Queen Mistuk’s guard.
“Hold on, we’re not here to hurt anyone.” Sero tried to reason while his Queen just stepped back and smirked, enjoying the bit of drama, this was better than some boring party.
“Then, why are you here?” Shouto asked, eyeing everyone as he wasn’t about to let his guard down, not when the rest of the kingdom was defenceless.
“We were invited to the party... but it looks like... plans changed.” Mitsuki had finally dropped the smirk as she took a good look around, walking through the large hall and coming to the giant thrones where the good King sat, resting his head on his hand as he slept, a bit of drool coming out of the side of his mouth and into his beard.
“What happened here?” She asked, and before Shouto could tell her to leave, a voice interrupted.
“Queen Mitsuki! You came!” Called out a slightly out of breath voice as footsteps clicked across the marble ballroom, lifting her heavy golden dress as she ran.
“Of course, I couldn’t turn down a royal invitation, could I?” Mitsuki went to greet her long time pen-pal, but there were no smiles as Mitsuki noticed Queen’s Sabina’s red swollen eyes.
“What happened here? Why is everyone sleeping?” Mitsuki asked as she gestured to the sleeping King.
“They’re under a spell, please come with me.” The Queen told her once she had caught her breath after running through the castle, she grabbed the Dragon Queen’s hand and started leading her back to the tower.
“See, chill out, man, we’re all friends here.” Denki patted Shouto on the back to try and ease the irritated Prince.
He let out a sigh and finally sheathed his sword.
“I’m here to protect my Mother and Queen Sabina, not make friends. If I see any of you try to bring them harm, I will show you no mercy.” Shouto declared, taking his job seriously as he glared at the three Dragon tribe folk.
“Brrr.. Did it suddenly get icy in here.” Sero shivered as he sheathed his own blade.
“Let’s go explore!” Mina decided as she already ran off, her two friends trailing behind her trying to say this wasn’t the time, but the pink dragon shifter couldn’t care less, she was in a new place and was curious.
“Let’s go find the kitchen!! I’m craving cake!” Mina announced as she bounced off, trusting her nose to lead her to the desserts.
“.... I kinda wish I had gone with Katsuki and Eijirou.” Denki sighed as he followed after his friend and Sero crossed his arms and nodded, still wary of all the sleeping guests and soldiers as they walked through the halls.
They were probably having a better time than them.

.
Three small fairies raced through the night sky, as fast as they fairy wings could carry them as they flew through the forest and onto the cottage they had called home for so long, it now had lost the warm glow of home as it windows were dark.
Bursting through the door, they looked around for the mystery man (y/n) had told them about, the one she was in love with.
“No one’s here!” Uraraka called out as she searched the wood cottage, even checking the cookie jar to see if the stranger was in there.
“But... Someone was.” Momo looked around the room, tossed furniture, broken glasses littered the floor.
Izuku picked up a black feather as well a strange necklace with what looked like fangs.
“Overhaul.... he was here... along with... someone else..” Izuku muttered, and then a loud roar broke through the silence, making the three jump in fright.
“Wh-wha-wh-what- what was that??” Uraraka trembled as she inched towards her fellow fairies for safety.
“A--a a bear?” Momo proposed even though she knew that the sound was much too large to be just a regular forest bear.
A loud knock made the three scream and huddle close together.
“Hello? I’m looking for my friend? He said he was going to the cottage and this is the only one... hello? Anyone home?” The energetic voice of a young man called out.
The three fairies looked to another and then back at the door where the voice came from.
“Should... should we answer it?” Izuku asked, still wary of whatever roared.
“Oh come on, you two, enough, we are in a crisis, and we have no time to be scared.” Momo reasoned as she shook off her fright and answered the door.
“Hello?” Momo greeted as she opened the door and was met with red eyes, red hair and sharp white teeth. The red-haired boy hid his dragon features the best he could, but his teeth were something he couldn’t change.
“Hey! Name’s Eijirou, I’m looking for-” The boy greeted as he smiled at the three fairies, letting off a friendly energy.
“(y/n)?” The blue fairy jumped forward, hoping that this was the man they were looking for and that their search was over.
“Huh? No, um not really I mean.... I guess if I found her I would find Katsuki... but no I’m looking for Katsuki. Hey! That’s his necklace!” Eijirou pointed to the fang necklace in the green fairy’s hand.
“Katsuki?” Uraraka repeated.
“As... as in THE Dragon Prince Katsuki?” Izuku shouted, feeling like his soul left this body. The fairies had only been to the Dragon Kingdom once or twice, and while they had never met the Prince, they had heard of his foul temper and violent ways.
“Yeah, about this tall, spiky blonde hair, wears a fluffy red cape, bit of an attitude. He came here to purpose to his dream girl, but-” The red-haired boy took a look around the room.
“What happened here? These are the flower’s he picked for (y/n)! What are they doing on the floor?” Eijirou leaned down and grabbed the discarded wildflowers.
“Dragon Prince Katsuki is the one that (y/n) loves?!?!?!” Uraraka and Izuku screamed in unison, and Momo let out a massive sigh.
“Calm down, you two! We have a crisis. Eijirou, I’m sorry, but Overhaul came here and kidnapped Prince Katsuki.” Momo tried to explain as she kept her cool throughout the whole ordeal.
“Overhaul?! Why was he here!? Did he take (y/n) as well?” Eijirou asked, worried for his friend but also for the girl he had yet to meet.
“We’ll explain on the way, we need to go now. No time to lose. To the Forbidden Mountain!” Momo declared.
“But we can’t... we can’t go there.” Izuku gasped, chills going down his spine at the very mention of the eerie lair of the villain.
“We can, and we must!” The Red fairy wore a look of determination, and Eijirou rapidly nodded his head, ready to rescue his friend.
“Alright, hop on.” Eijirou said as he turned and took in a giant breath.
“Hop on?” Uraraka asked, tilting her head as she watched the red-haired boy roll back his shoulders as if he was getting ready for something.
And before their eyes, Eijirou transformed into a dragon, inside the cabin...... making the entire place crumble.
There was a guilty look in the dragon’s eyes as he eyed the now ruined wooden cottage.
“.....”
“Nevermind the cabin, let’s go!” Uraraka yelled as she latched herself to one of Eijirou’s horns and the others followed suit.
.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
.
Eijirou flew as fast as his large red wings could, the three fairies clinging to the horns on his head for dear life, they were used to flying but not like this.
“I- think... I think I’m gonna throw up.” Uraraka groaned as she held a hand over her mouth, her pale form alerting her friends.
“Ura-Uraraka, hold on a little longer!” Izuku encouraged, rubbing her back.
“There it is, take us down Eijirou, we don’t want to be sighted.” Momo ordered as she pointed out a spot.
The dragon let out a gruff sound but listened as descended to the ground, taking shelter by a large boulder.
As soon as they landed, Urakara ran off and threw up behind a bush as the rest tried to look away. The. Blue fairy looked a lot better when she reunited with the group, apologizing while Izuku and Momo asked if she was alright now.
“We’ll sneak in and find Katsuki, you wait here, we’ll need you when we flee the castle.” Momo explained and the red dragon looked like he was about to protest, but the three fairies had already made themselves no bigger than sparrows and had flown off towards the dark fortress.
Then they flew to the gates, hiding behind some stones and just when they thought it was safe walked out, only to see a guard and dart behind a pillar.
Carefully they made their way through the intimidating fortress, looking for clues while avoiding the guards.
The three fairies heard the sounds of merriment and looked over to a green glow from a large window. Their little wings took them to what looked like to be a ballroom, and a party was being held, and overlooking the minions was the man in purple, sitting smugly with his staff in hand.
Overhaul watched from his stone throne as his minions danced around a green bonfire, drinking and letting out cheers of victory. The dark castle that had once been decaying was now kept very pristine under Overhaul’s haul’s rule, everything was perfect. The Princess was under his curse, and he had her Prince in his cellars. Overhaul wasn’t going to let something as simple as ‘true love’ ruin his fun.
“What a pity that Prince Katsuki can’t be here to enjoy the celebration..” Overhaul wore a smirk behind his leather beak mask as he petted the black crow with the back of his gloved hand.
“Perhaps we should go check on our ‘special’ guest.” Overhaul’s gold eyes moved to his crow companion, who nodded and hopped on his shoulder as his master rose up from his throne and walked down the stairs, deep into the cellars.
Momo, Uraraka and Izuku hurried after him, carefully zipping around the dark fortress to avoid being seen as they followed Overhaul, hoping to find the kidnapped Katsuki.
Muffled screams and the clanging of chains were heard before Overhaul even made it down the stairs, the Dragon Prince was very feisty and had yet to give up. Overhaul took a large black key from his pockets and slid into the door lock, the door creaking open and shut behind him.
“Prince Katsuki, you shouldn’t be so upset. A wondrous future lies before you.” Overhaul explained as he stood tall in front of the Prince.
Katsuki lunged forward, but the strong chains kept him shackled to the stone wall, the metal was starting to bruise his skin, but he didn’t care as he wasn’t going down without a fight.
“Hard to believe that ‘you’ are the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true.” Overhaul mused as he leaned on his staff. Katuski stopped struggled and raised an eyebrow at the statement, curious about what the villain was talking about.
The three fairies peaked into the cell.
Overhaul brought out his staff and waved his hand around the large green orb sitting on top, whispering a spell before holding it close to the Prince.
“Behold, King Nahir’s castle. And in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the Princess Aruna.” The globe showed the sleeping beauty, resting with a red rose in her hand, her lustrous dark hair flowing around her, her brown skin basking in the moonlight.
Katsuki’s eyes widened, it was (y/n), HIS (y/n). His Sunshine. He lunged forward, filled with a white-hot rage towards his captor.
“Ah ah. I’m not finished.” Overhaul shook his head at the Dragon Prince’s impatience, not worried for his safety in the slightest. He had won, there was nothing left to do but gloat.
“But see the gracious whim of fate, why, ‘tis the peasant maid who won the heart of our ‘noble’ Prince but yesterday.” The image in the orb got a closer look at the sleeping girl.
“She is indeed, most beautiful, skin blessed by the sun, black of midnight in her curls, lips that shame the red, red rose. In ageless sleep, she finds repose.”
The image disappeared and changed, Katsuki was now seeing the gates of the castle on the Forbidden Mountain being opened.
“The years roll by. But a hundred years to a steadfast heart are but a day. And now, the gates of the dungeon part and our Prince is free to go on his way.”
The orb showed Katsuki as an old man, his body skinny and weak as he uses his sword like a cane to walk through the open gates, his ash blonde hair grey with a long beard. The old man’s body is struggling to even move as he walked along the stone road.
“Off he marches, a valiant figure, straight and tall, to wake his love with love’s first kiss. And prove that true love conquers all!!” Overhaul mocked, a sick cackle sounded behind his beak mask as his gold eyes stared down at the Dragon Prince.
“Why you!” Little Uraraka was ready to fly in, fists flying, but Momo quickly grabbed the fairy by her blue dress and pulled her back into hiding.
Overhaul chuckled as Katsuki only fought harder against his chains, screaming muffled through the metal muzzle they placed on him.
“Come, my pet. Let us leave our noble Prince with these happy thoughts.” Overhaul mocked, his gold eyes gleaming with amusement.
“A most gratifying day.” Overhaul stepped out of the cell, the door closing behind him. His gloved hand reached for the key and gave it a tight turn before sliding it into his chest pocket and walking off.
Once it looked like the hallway was finally clear, Momo peeked out from behind the small crevice they had been hiding in, double-checking that the coast was clear.
The three fairies flew out of hiding and into the cell where Katsuki was fighting against his chains, right as they were about to reveal themselves, the chains broke free from the wall with forces and the Prince tripped forward falling onto his face. The Dragon Prince’s strength was not just a rumour.
The fairies revealed themselves, shifting from their small size to human-sized. Uraraka was still giggling over the Prince’s faceplant, and Momo and Izuku had to shush her.
Katsuki jumped up from the ground and raised his fists, ready to fight the intruders.
“We’re not here to fight, we’re here to help.” Momo explained as she waved her wand and the metal muzzle around Katsuki’s face turned to bubbles.
“Fuck off! I don’t need your help. Wimpy ass fairies.” Katsuki growled as he grabbed his red cloak from the bench and threw it on.
“How are you go-” Before Izuku could finish his question, Katsuki and broken through the cell door.
Momo glared at the stubborn Prince and flew in front of him, spreading her arms out.
“If you care about (y/n), then you’ll listen!” She told him, and at the mention of the girl’s name, Katuski stopped. He glared at the red fairy and grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her to the wall.
“What do you know, tell me now or else I’ll rip those wings right off your back.” Katsuki threatened as his crimson eyes glared down at the fairy.
“THIS is the man that (y/n) fell in love with?” Izuku whispered to Uraraka, who let out a small sigh and shrugged her shoulders.
“Love is strange and unpredictable.” Uraraka proposed, maybe (y/n) saw a secret side to Katsuki they had yet to see. He was certainly determined, and that was admirable.
“Prince Katsuki, the road to true love may be barred by still many more dangers, which you alone with have to face.” Momo warned.
“I am doin’ it alone. Now scram.” Katsuki pushed her away and continued marching down the dark hallway.
“You are not the only one who cares for (y/n). Now at least take this and protect yourself with this enchanted Shield of Virtue.” Momo waved her wand and created a large shield that appeared in Katsuki’s left hand.
“And this mighty Sword of Truth.” Another wave of her wand and a large sword appeared in Katuski’s free hand.
“A broadsword? Fine, doesn’t matter what you give me, I’m gonna kill that beaked bastard.” Katsuki declared, personally, he wanted his regular curved sword, but this would do for now.
Momo let out a cough, and Katuski glared at her.
“What?!”
“For these weapons of righteousness will triumph over evil. Now come, we must hurry to (y/n).” Momo just wanted to finish her speech and get out of here.
“You extra’s are the ones holding me back.” Katsuki scoffed as he stomped forward, his red cloak fluttering behind him.
Just as they turned the corner, they were met with Overhaul’s black crow who cawed at them before flying up the stairwell, his loud alarming caw vibrating off the stone walls.
They hurried up the spiral stairs, and before they knew it, a small army of goons was running towards them.
A cocky smirk made it’s way to Katsuki’s mouth as he rolled his shoulders back and got into a fighting position.
“Time for payback, you ugly assholes.” And Katsuki easily cut down the minions while the fairies just watched in amazement.
“Maybe... he didn’t need our help.” Uraraka wondered out loud as they watched as the Prince happily fought the various enemies.
A loud roar sounded, and they all looked to the large window.
“My ride’s here.” Katsuki smirked as he struck down the last minion and ran to the window, jumped out without a care.
“Prince Katuski!” The fairies cried as they followed only to let out a sigh of relief to see Katski safely on the back of a red dragon, Eijirou had good timing.
“C’mon, before he leaves without us.” Izuku said as the fairies transformed into the size of small birds and flew to the dragon and nestled themselves safely in Katsuki’s cape, unnoticed by him.
“You useless lizard, what took so long?” Katsuki complained as he pulled on of Eijirou’s horns.
The dragon made a guttural groan, and the Prince rolled his eyes.
“Look out!” Urakaka yelled, pointing at the barrage of arrows flying their way Katuski nearly jumped out of his skin, not realizing he had stowaways with him.
Eijirou got ready to blast the arrows away to dust with his flames, but Momo beat him to it, waving her wand and turning the arrows into pink flowers.
“Whatever, let’s get outta here, (y/n) ’s waiting.” Katsuki ordered.
“To King Nadir’s castle!” Izuku shouted, and Katuski nearly swatted him away like an insect, but the fairy avoided him.
“C’mon shitty scales, we gotta get my girl.” Katsuki smirked, but he was antsy, was his Sunshine okay? Would a kiss truly be enough to wake her?
The fairies all looked to one another, before letting out a sigh.
“Why do I feel like the King will be less than pleased with his possible son-in-law.” Momo sighed
“If it lifts the curse, then I doubt he’ll care if Katsuki was a foul mouth.” Uraraka pointed out, though she was looking forward to everyone meeting the brash Prince.
“Though.... it’ll be an interesting meeting for sure...” Izuku thought out loud.
.
.-.-.-.-.-.-
.
Overhaul watched with rage as the red dragon flew off with his hostage, flying towards the currently sleeping kingdom.
He stormed to the tallest tower in his castle, thunder rumbled around him as his golden eyes filled with malice, sending lightning strike after lightning strike to hit Eijirou.
The red dragon was struck and went flying towards the ground. The crash sent dirt flying everywhere, and the red dragon lay in a large ditch from the fall.
The fairies got to work on healing the dragon as Katsuki’s red eye’s watched in concern, demanding that the three work faster.
“We’ll stay here. Go forward, Prince Katsuki!” Momo insisted as she waved her wand around one of the dragon’s more significant wounds.
Katsuki looked at his friend, who just nodded for him to go. The Dragon Prince let out a scoff and ran off, racing towards the marble castle.
Overhaul swung his staff to the sky, ordering out a spell making green and dark clouds appear and swirl before sending it off to the sleeping kingdom.
“A forest of thorns shall be his tomb. Borne through the skies on a fog of doom! No go with a curse and serve me well. Around Nahir’s castle, cast my spell!”
Dark clouds swirled around the beautiful kingdom, lightning striking the ground and the castle. A dense forest of thorns surrounded the castle, sprouting from the ground, causing the earth to shake.
“Dammit!” Katsuki cursed as he got pricked by one of the thorns.
The Prince used his blade to slice through the dark thorns, making good progress he finally came to the stone path that led straight into the castle. He smirked in triumph as he marched forward.
“No! It cannot be!!” Overhaul screamed from his mountain, and in his fit, he used his magic to transport himself across the kingdom.
Overhaul appeared in a burst of green flame, gold eyes glaring at ruby, and Katsuki just got into a fighting position, ready to take out the villain who stood between him and (y/n).
“Now shall you deal with me, O Prince. And all the powers of HELL!” Overhaul declared as he raised his arms and wrapped himself up in the magic and a tower of green flames burst towards the sky, disappearing into dark purple clouds.
Katsuki watch as black form shifted in the flame, growing bigger and bigger.
“You gotta be shittin’ me.” Katsuki gritted through his teeth, clenching his sword tightly, his knuckles turning white.
A large purple and black dragon spread its wings, their eyes glowing gold, green flames flowing from its black jaws.
It felt wrong as the Prince of the Dragon tribe to be fighting a dragon, but Katsuki enjoyed the challenge.
“I’ll wear your teeth around my neck, you bastard.” He yelled as he readied his sword and shield and stormed forward. Overhaul spat green fire at the Prine, who blocked it with the broad shield, the force of the flames made him stop momentarily, but he pushed forward.
The dragon fired green flames at the stone bridge, and it melted underneath Katsuki’s feet, and he jumped back, the villain forcing him back into the forest of thorns.
“You won’t win!” Katsuki screamed as he leapt forward and aimed for the dragon’s heart, but Overhaul swerved his head and tried to bite Katsuki. The Prince swung his sword and hit the hard skull of the dragon.
In frustration, Overhaul doused the entire forest of thorns in his green flames, forcing Katsuki into a corner.
“Dammit.. You ugly bastard..” Katsuki cursed, feeling the lick of the hot flames on his skin. A loud familiar roar sounded out, and the Dragon Prince smirked.
The black dragon looked up and was quickly tackled to the ground by Eijirou, who had dug his sharp jaws deep into the villain.
“It’s about time ya shitty lizard!” Katsuki yelled as he quickly crawled onto Ejirou’s back and ran up his spine to the top of his head.
“I’m taking you out!” Katsuki screamed from the top of Eijirou’s head, and the red dragon roared in agreement. The three fairies flew to Katsuki’s side, and Izuku waved his wand at the sword in the Prince’s hand.
“Now, Sword of Truth, fly swift and sure. That evil die and good endure!” He enchanted the sword, and it glowed white with magic.
Overhaul reared his head and got ready to spew more flames and Katsuki threw the sword right at the chest of the black dragon, piercing the heart.
A scream erupted from the dragon’s black jaws, trying to snap at Katsuki once more time, but Eijirou finished the job, and a stream of red hot flame spewed from the red dragon’s jaws.
Purple smoke erupted from the black dragon until it was nothing but a purple and black cape, Overhaul’s beak mask sitting on top, but the villain was gone.
The skies cleared, and the thorns disappeared, the morning sun shining over the kingdom.
Katsuki looked to the castle where (y/n) waited for him.
“The tallest tower, huh?” Katsuki said as he looked up and patted Eijirou’s head, who understood where he was going with his.
Eijirou spread his broad wings and took off, flying towards the tallest tower where Sleeping Beauty waited.
.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
.
Mitsuki watched as her friend sat by the sleeping Princess, still not believing that true love would break the curse, but it was their only hope.
They heard the flapping of wings, and then a large force dropped onto the roof of the tower, Queen Sabina raced to her daughter’s side, ready to protect her if needed with the sharp dagger in her hand.
Shouto unsheathed his sword standing in front of his mother as the creaking of the roof continued, and a flash of a red tail whipped past the windows.
“We should leave.” Shouto advised and but was interrupted by Mitstuki’s laugh.
“Nothing to worry about, I know that roar.” Mitsuki proudly declared.
“Fuck, move ya damn lizard.” A furious yell sounded out, and Sabina raised an eyebrow.
“... yep, sounds about right.” Mitsuki sighed, shaking her head over her son’s language, not that her word choices were any better.
A figure dropped down from the roof and onto the balcony of the tower, their red cape lined with white fur hood blocking their face till they raced into the room, only stopping in his steps when they laid their eyes on the sleeping Princess.
Katsuki didn’t even notice the others in the room, just the beauty lying bed, his boots walking to her side, ( y/n) looked dead as she lay in bed, a rose resting in her hands.
“Sunshine...” He spoke to her, cradling her face, she was still warm, her chest gently rising and falling.
“You are?” A woman’s voice asked, and Katsuki nearly jumped when he looked to the other side of the bed, and an older woman with similar features to (y/n) stared at him.
“None of your business, that’s who.” He spat.
“Katsuki! You damn brat! Have some manners!” Mitsuki scolded, and Katsuki’s eyes widened as he looked over to his mother.
“Old hag!! What the hell are you doing here?!” He yelled, pointing at her.
“What am I doing here?! What are you doing here?!” She rebutted, hands on her hips as she glared at her temperamental son.
The three fairies flew in the room, and all three let out a massive sigh at the sight of the Dragon Royalty yelling at each other.
“Your highness, Prince Katsuki defeated Overhaul.” Izuku informed the Queen of the castle.
“Overhaul is dead?” She uttered, shock painting her face.
“Yes your majesty.”
“Then shouldn’t she awaken?” Queen Sabina asked as she looked down at her daughter’s still form.
“Katsuki? Is this the girl?” The Dragon Queen asked, realizing why he was here.
Katsuki looked at the girl lying in bed and went back to her side, his typically angry eyes softening as he caressed her hair.
“It is.”
“Go on, Katuski.” The ruby-eyed Prince didn’t have to be told twice as he sat down on the bed, he leaned down, but he felt everyone’s eyes on him.
“Can’t a guy get some privacy?!!?!” He growled at everyone, and they all jumped.
“Oh! Okay, everyone, let’s um turn around.” Momo instructed, and everyone tentatively listened while Uraraka waved her wand to create a curtain around the bed that the Princess slept in.
The Dragon Prince let out a sigh and took her hands in his, he leaned forward, slowly inching towards her red lips, their noses touched, and he took a pause.
“What... what if.. What if I’m not your true love...” He whispered as he leaned his forehead against hers, the thought hadn’t even entered his mind. Now he was clenching his jaw at the thought of (y/n) lying here asleep till someone else came along and took her away.
“I need you, Sunshine. I’ll dance with you whenever you want. I can take you flying, you’ll look beautiful in the sky. Hell, you look beautiful wherever you are.” He spoke softly, his eyes closing as he imagined their life together.
“Come back to me,” Katsuki whispered the small plea and finally took the plunge, lightly touching his lips to hers. They were softer than he imagined, velvety smooth and melded perfectly with his.
Katsuki leaned back up and opened his eyes, his breath hitched in his throat as he waited.
Long dark lashes started to flutter, and the Princess began to shift slightly. Slowly (y/n) opened her eyes and looked upon her Prince, his ruby eyes brighter than she remembered.
“I dreamed of you...” she sighed, her large eyes fluttering as she was still waking up. Katsuki thought he had never seen anything so breathtaking as she gently smiled up at him.
Katsuki smirked and traced the edge of her jaw with his calloused fingers, caressing her gently.
“Good morning, Sunshine.” He teased as he leaned down and kissed her again, this time with a little more force, and she giggled into the kiss as she leaned upwards a bit, her hand gripping the soft fur of his cloak.
Suddenly Katsuki was pushed to the ground and arms wrapped around the Princess.
“My baby!”
“Oh, um... Hello?” (y/n) said as she rubbed the back of the woman, hugging her as she cried. The woman leaned back and held the young woman’s face in her hands, tears streaming down her face as she smiled at the face of her long lost treasure.
“Mother?” (y/n) tilted her head slightly as her eyes raked over the woman’s features, there was something familiar about her. The Queen nodded her head and brought the Princess in for another hug.
“Nice job Son.” Mitsuki praised as she tried not to cry over the family reunion.
“... thanks...” he uttered, silently forgiving (y/n) ’s mother for pushing him away.
A whine was heard from the balcony, and everyone turned to see a giant red dragon’s snout peeking into the room.
“Oi! I told you to wait outside!” Katsuki yelled, and the dragon looked like he rolled his eyes. Queen Sabina tried to hide her daughter behind her, but she was already trying to scramble out of bed to get a better look, her long blue and gold skirt touching the ground.
In her haste, she tripped, but Katsuki was quick to catch her.
“Careful, your gonna hurt yourself.” Katsuki scolded as he steadied her, and she just blushed and apologized, but then her large eyes looked back at the red dragon with wonder, and the Prince let out a sigh.
“Shitty scales, this is (y/n).” Katsuki introduced her to his long-time friend and dragon.
“Acutally her name is Aruna.” Shouto informed him, relieved that the Princess was okay but slightly bewildered that her true love was this ruffian.
“Shut it half ‘n Half, she’s (y/n) to me.” Katsuki barked at the rival Prince, but he didn’t seem to care.
Before their eyes, the red dragon transformed into a humanoid form, but one could still see glittering red scales on his arms and neck, horns poking from his forehead, and a spiky red tail waved behind him.
“Name’s Eijirou, nice to meet you! Can’t wait for the wedding.” The friendly Eijirou rushed forward and grabbed the Princess by her hands, and she was still in awe over what she had just witnessed, the world was a magical place, and she couldn’t wait to learn more about Katsuki’s world.
“The Wedding?! Rei.. I’m sorry, but I’m afraid we’ll have to break the betrothal.” Queen Sabina spoke softly to her long-time friend and fellow Queen.
“It’s quite alright, who are we to stand in the way of true love. Though Enji will have something to say..” The snow-haired Queen gave a slightly worried look, and Sabina promised that she would deal with the brutish King. Truth be told, Sabina never missed an opportunity to tell off the war-hungry King.
“The party! We need to wake everyone up! It’s time to celebrate” Uraraka grabbed the hands of her fellow fairies, and they flew off to do their job.
“Sweetheart... are you ready?” Queen Sabina squeezed her daughter’s hands, and she smiled nervously.
“... Yes. Can I have a moment?” The Princess requested as she fidgeted with the various gold and blue bangles on her wrist. The Queen nodded and tried to usher everyone out of the room, giving the two a moment.
“.. Will you stay by my side.” (y/n) asked her Prince. Katuki gave her a handsome smirk that made her skin hot and heart beat faster.
“After all this?? I’m not letting you outta my sight.” Katsuki leaned down and rested his forehead against her’s, enjoying the quiet of the intimate moment.
“So cute.” Mitsuki cooed as peaked her head in and winked at the two, causing the new couple to turn the same colour as Katsuki’s red eyes.
“Beat it, Old Hag!” He screamed as he threw the pillow from the bed at her.
“... I’ll let it slide today since it’s a special day. But tomorrow... you’re dead meat boy.” Mitsuki threatened as she pointed at her son, their glares were almost identical and (y/n) stifled a giggle into the fur trim of Katsuki’s cloak.
“Oh and welcome to the family.” She winked at the Princess, who, in turn, smiled back at her before Mitsuki finally descended down the stairs to join the party, ultimately leaving the two alone.
“Now that we finally got rid of those extras.” Katsuki let out a sigh of relief, before wrapping his arms around his sunshine, holding her close to him.
“Katsuki.” (y/n) playfully chided as she shook her head at her Prince’s attitude but nestled her head into his shoulder, she felt Katsuki smirk against her neck before peppering her skin with kisses, making her let out a small gasp.
“Kastuki! We need to go do downstairs!” She giggled as he continued his playful assault, travelling from her neck up to her face.
“I don’t give a shit about a party, I came here for you.” He pointed out before leaning down and capturing her soft lips in a demanding kiss, leaving her breathless with a blissful look on her face.
(y/n)’s handsome prince got down on one knee before her and got out the gold and ruby ring his mother had given him. Her heart began racing wildy as she realized what was happening.
“Will you-”
“Yes!” She tackled him, and the two fell to the ground as she laughed, and he couldn’t help but smile as he wrapped his arms around her, feeling whole and at peace for the first time.
His girl was safe in his arms, his beautiful angel whose smile was brighter than the sun itself. Katsuki could barely wait to hear (y/n) sing to him and dance with her for the rest of his days.
The nightmare was over, and the dream was just beginning.

Chapter 16: Uraraka: On a Lighter Note

Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence
Relationships: Midoriya Izuku/Todoroki Shouto, Kaminari Denki/Shinsou Hitoshi, Jirou Kyouka/Yaoyorozu Momo, Iida Tenya/Uraraka Ochako
Summary:
An Until Dawn-inspired AU that rotates perspectives between Todoroki, Midoriya, Kaminari, Shinsou, Jirou, Momo, Iida, and Uraraka each chapter. This is a joint fic with @ging-ler who also did the artwork
Preview:
“Right. Gotta start somewhere,” she muttered and knelt beside the opened drawer. She tried to pull the drawer out of the cabinet completely, but it jammed at the end of its metal track. There would be no way of accessing the lower drawers until they had a proper key.
Uraraka pulled out the first file in the drawer, opened it, and held it up to the light of her candle. Charts. Graphs. Balance sheets. Company financials that more than justified the grandeur of the lodge. She bit her lip. What she was doing definitely wasn’t legal, but if even Iida was willing to break a law or two for Todoroki’s sake, then she would too.
She opened the next file. More charts. More graphs. More balance sheets. Instead of financials, Enji stored hard copies of important emails with other executives and board members. Stock prices. Taxes. Overhead cost. Budget cuts. Quarterly reviews. Blah, blah, blah…
The lonely anxiety that once strangled Uraraka’s nerves subdued under a dull wave of boredom. Her eyes glazed over as they skimmed through the endless lines of corporate jargon. Todoroki’s mind for business was suddenly quite impressive, to have the patience to analyze revenue charts and watch paint dry.

Series Part 7 of Bakudeku Week 2018
reviving embers by ethereals ( T | 4,458 | 1/1 )
Katsuki keeps starting fires. Well, let’s reword that. He keeps setting off the fire alarms. He doesn’t always start fires. Sometimes he leaves his dinner on the stove for way too long or accidentally lights a candle underneath his smoke detector. He accidentally pulled the building fire alarm with his umbrella last week (don’t ask) and he may or may not have started a couple of actual fires as well—he really doesn’t know how the tiny grease fire in his kitchen started. And it just so happens that the fire alarm is going off right now.
Or: Firefighter!Deku au where Katsuki can't think of any other way to get his attention besides 'accidentally' starting fires.
Boneless by hottamale ( T | 4,136 | 2/2 )
Now logically speaking, Katsuki knew that that was fucking bullshit. Closed was closed, there would be no pizza for them tonight. If anything, they could probably go raid a McDonald’s or some shit, but that’s not what they wanted. They wanted pizza. But Katsuki wasn’t thinking logically right now, he was just thinking about the pizza and Izuku. Maybe if he was lucky he could have Izuku for a snack instead of the pizza.
Series Part 1 of It's a Concept

Staying up too late playing video games, Kirishima wasn't expecting to get an urgent call begging for help. Next thing he knew, he was letting his classmate Izuku Midoriya take refuge in his apartment - without consulting his always angry roommate.

[Graphic Depictions of Violence | Implied/Referenced Domestic Violence | Stalking | Self-Harm | Implied/Referenced Sexual Assault | Physical Abuse]
{ Curator’s Note: In this fic, it’s is not Bakugou abusing Izuku. It’s Izuku’s ex-boyfriend, Chisaki, who he is trying to get away from. Bakugou is Kirishima’s roommate. }
[On Hiatus] Stay Out Of The Light by KatsukiOrKatsudon ( E | 3,084+ | 2/? )

Katsuki also wants to bring him back to life, and will go to any lengths to complete it, even collect the souls of 1000 sinners, a task by Satan himself.
[Graphic Depictions of Violence]
We're Literal Lame-o's by masteremeraldholder ( T | 5,943 | 1/1 )
Izuku just stands there. Not at all sure what to say. Not only because of his own confusion, also Kacchan’s… odd expression. His jaw is set in a firm grimace. And he keeps blinking really fast.
Really, he looks like a grumpy troll. But Izuku knows by now to keep his opinions to himself. “I thought,” He sits down, making sure there’s one seat between him and Katsuki. “You were busy with things.” He air quotes things.
Kacchan twiddles his thumbs. “I got finished early.”
Izuku’s head tilts to the side in genuine curiosity. “I thought you hated Marvel?”
Kacchan winces. “Y-yeah, well, I still do, but… this one… The trailer didn’t entirely suck ass.”
“I thought you didn’t—”
“Can we stop talking about your fucked-up thoughts, please?”

[On Hiatus] Oubaitori by DriftingGlass ( M | 32,666+ | 4/16 )
From the moment he was born, Izuku understood that he was different. He was a rarity, an omega; not necessarily seen as useful or even desirable. It didn't take long, however, for his entire future to be placed in the hands of an alpha, one by the name of Katsuki Bakugo.
Through many pitfalls, confusion, and pains of growing up in a city where both are outcasts of their own kind, it takes more than just the threads of instinct and arranged contracts to bring two hearts together.
Love isn't fate. It's pure luck.
[Underage]

It's the beginning of their last year of Junior High, Izuku Midoriya is a normal Beta. He isn't anything special, at least he doesn't think so. His first heat comes at school and in the end, he ends up at Bakugou Katsuki's house.

What's the worst that could happen?
(It's better than it sounds I promise)

[On Hiatus] The Wolf and the Rabbit by HG_Wells ( E | 4,876+ | 2/? )
In this world, the hierarchy is centered on strength. If you're part of a weak animal species, you're looked down upon by society. If you're part of a strong animal species, you're praised by society.

Words Left Unspoken by ellslane  ( E | 39,926+ | 10/? )
“A part of Katsuki wants Izuku to let him go, move on, and find someone who’s capable of giving him the love he truly deserves. The love he can’t get from someone who lives city to city, working in a field whose requirements entail no attachments. But the bigger, more selfish part of him that was never reared by parents, authority figures, or humbled by being told no; wants Izuku all to himself, forever and always.”
Or, the one in which Katsuki is an assassin, Izuku is a cop, and they’re disgustingly in love. Chaos and angst ensues.
[Non-consensual Drug Use | Drug Addiction]
{ Curator’s Note: The writer said in the tags that “The tags don’t really relate to their relationship.” }
Ice Baths and Foul Balls by jalepenochip  ( Not Rated | 2,030 | 1/1 )
Baseball AU. Deku is an all-star pitcher and Kacchan is his catcher. They are quite the duo. They reminisce on old memories and share a few kisses ;)
Dance, Baby! by hottamale  ( G | 2,283 | 1/1 )
He was all straight lines and sharp edges, and Izuku found that his intensity could impale him and leave him for dead but he’d still pine for him. He just exuded an obscene amount of confidence that Izuku didn’t have, and it was incredibly attractive as much as his overly cocky attitude wasn’t. But who was he kidding, his cocky attitude was attractive in its own right. There was no going back for Izuku, he was already too far into it for there to be anyone else but Katsuki.
Series Part 4 of It's a Concept
[On Hiatus] Bombing King by brichibi  ( E | 4,154+ | 3/? )
Izuku Midoriya is a top student at a prestigious university who, like many others, listens to music while he studies. While looking for a new CD with his friends, he discovers the lyrical stylings of one Katsuki Bakugou, a rather aggressive musician who definitely earns that "parental advisory" label. It's not something Midoriya would listen to. No. Certainly not. He's not buying his CD. He's not watching his interviews. And he, most definitely, is not crushing on him.
Right?
[AU where Bakugou's a rock star and Midoriya is quickly becoming his number one fan]
Lights. Camera. Hero! by brichibi  ( E | 23,248+ | 6/? )
If there’s one thing Izuku Midoriya’s good at, it’s dreaming big, and dreaming hard. That’s why he’s in Hollywood, of all places, his hometown an entire ocean away along with his graduating high school class and single mother. But he’s gonna be an actor, an international sensation, a superstar like no other.
He just.
Has to convince the rest of the world.
Which is, admittedly, a difficult task.
[AU where "My Hero Academia" is an upcoming television series, everyone's an actor/actress, and romance happens behind the scenes]
Fairy Kisses by Eggs_in_a_cloud  ( G | 6,299 | 1/1 )
“You must be mistaken. If Midoriya had a boyfriend, he would have told us. We’re his best friends.” Tenya finds himself saying, trying to reposition his glasses that slid down his nose with shock.
Midoriya tells them everything. He’s a sharer. It’s what they do.
They discuss everything. So certainly, if Midoriya has a boyfriend, Tenya and Urakaka would already know.
“I don’t know, but maybe you should ask him.” Todoroki shrugs, and turns his focus to his yakisoba.
There must be a clause somewhere in the manual on friendship that you cannot not tell your best friends that you have a significant other.
Series Part 1 of Inseparable
[On Hiatus] How It's Supposed to Be by ceruleaneyes  ( Not Rated | 1,080+ | 1/? )
It was hard enough to have your best friend living miles and miles away, but it only gets worse when you start having feelings for them.
A Demolition Boy & his Cryptid BF by kewltie  ( T | 8,450 | 1/1 )
Bakugou of the Demolition Squad is famous for running one of the most popular Youtube channels on the web that regularly blow shit up and jumped off a perfectly good building for shit and giggles. He's also famous for his Cryptid BF™, never appearing on camera except for a few bodyshots and all information on him is kept locked up tighter than Fort Knox, therefore drawing all sort of attention and curiosity toward his mysterious boyfriend.
Deku from Deku Explains is a hopeless chatterbox who is known for uploading 20-30 minutes video that talked about his favorite shows and comics and have one of the most devoted following on Youtube. He also can't seem to shut up about his boyfriend Kacchan, who regularly make his presence on the channel as a disembodied voice.
They should theoretically have nothing in common except a shared platform to host their content and an army of fans with an endless curiosity and devotion to their Youtubers. Vidcon is where we lay our scene and the internet is about to get a rude wake up call.
Echoes of Heroes by akirafudoismybitch (ElizaFelidae)  ( M | 607 | 1/1 )
After 300 years of peace, Valentia is thrown once again to the throws of war after one man who believes not in the power of gods, sends someone to kill a child of one. The wrong person is blamed and its up to the Deliverance to travel Valentia in effort to clear a wronged Noble's name and catch who is really responsible.
[Graphic Depictions of Violence | Major Character Death]
Even Deku Can Beat You (And Yeah, He Can Beat Me, Too) by brichibi  ( E | 6,056 | 1/1 )
There’s an entire library of proper responses for this moment. Katsuki effectively incinerates them all when he laughs like he’s watching a comedian at work. “You wanna go against me? Me?! Come on, at least start with someone less skilled like-”
“Like you.” It comes out so smoothly from Izuku’s mouth. He can’t believe he’s actually said something so scathing. That’s not like him at all, but damnit, all he’d wanted was to spend quality time with his blockhead boyfriend, you know?
[AU where the arcade is the place to be, "Plus Ultra" is the hottest fighting game in town, Bakugou's bad at boyfriending, and Izuku's ready to KO his ass into the next century]
Blocked by sundaechii  ( G | 1,432 | 1/1 )
'You and ZuzuSmash both like All Might!'
Or: Katsuki finds a friend in omegle.
Prose for a Guilty Sadist by Rohen  ( E | 12,491+ | 3/? )
First, its the smell of pluming cigarette so dense its almost nauseating. A shrill laugh barely flickers above the music before the swell of sound sweeps it back, nothing but the tidal crashing of ambiance and music and throbbing walls able to be heard. Bodies are lit inhumanely under the shudder of strobing colors, skin flashes dark red and blue and green in an instant, dizzying and alien. The room is gorged--masses of people become single organisms as they move and writhe and dance. He can feel the movement reverberate in his bones and it's jarring to be standing still.
So he doesn't. He leaves. And keeps coming back.
But Bakugou finds something out about himself, though he tries to deny it, and for some reason Midoriya Izuku is like a magician pulling ropes of things he's never wanted to know about from inside of him.
{ Curator’s Note: This work has the tags “Minor Bakugou Katsuki/Kirishima Eijirou” & “slight bakugou/dabi”. }
Lovebites by mynameis152  ( E | 84,301+ | 25/? )
Katsuki Bakugou was going to hate this summer.
He thought he'd hate it because he was being forced to leave home and work for his mother's friend in a small, seaside town. He thought he'd hate it cause he was being punished for burning his room to a crisp. He thought he'd hate it because he hated change.
But it turns out, he hated the Supernatural Turfwar between four species that shouldn't exist but do a whole lot more....
Or
The one where Katsuki is forced to move in with Inko for the summer and finds himself falling for a particular bloodsucker....
[Graphic Depictions of Violence (Blood and Gore) | Suicide Attempt]
[On Hiatus] Young & Menace by starpouches  ( M | 1,953+ | 1/? )
In a city where teen gangs and delinquents cause a lot of trouble and the police and government are not willing to do anything against it as they claim it to be a "minor issue" and "kids being rebels", Midoriya Izuku, who is an exemplary student, is still investigating the sudden disappearance of his childhood friend Bakugo Katsuki, who has gone missing for over four years since their second year in Middle School. Now, being a second year in High School, they both reunite per coincidence and Izuku suddenly realizes that his childhood friend is part of one of the dangerous teen gangs of the entire city.
[Implied/Referenced Domestic Violence]
{ Curator’s Note: It is not explicitly stated whether or not the domestic violence is between Bakugou and Midoriya. }

"I could ask you the same question," Izuku replied with a small smile as he headed for the bench press.

“Bakugou!” Uraraka pulls on him, forcing him to trail behind him. He hangs back, getting a clear look of him. He looked the same, same blonde wild hair, unable to be contained- just like him. His piercing red eyes stared directly at him, they were hardening and unmerciful, just as he remembered.
His sleeveless black and grey plaid jacket, showing of his bare arms. They were still muscled, he suspected it was due to Kirishima well being. Underneath his plain white shirt nearly see through, the jeans he wore couldn’t possibly be anymore tighter, hell they looked good.
---
aspiring ballet dancer Midoriya Izuku dreams of following in his mother's footsteps, he wants to become the best. when he gets into Julliard, his dreams become true one step at a time. he finds out that his childhood friend Bakugou Katsuki, a talented hip-hop violinst is also attending. he believes he changed. but did he really? or is he the same arrogant boy he met 5 years ago? can they work together and rebuild their friendship, and if so than will he fall to him?
[Panic Attacks]
confessions aren’t meant to be done drunk (but i’ll make an exception for you) by castawayastronaut  ( Not Rated | 4,201 | 1/1 )
Izuku comes back from a 2-month trip, with a couple of knick-knacks and realizations.
We are Live by Polarbeater  ( E | 1,794+ | 1/? )
Katsuki makes a living by streaming himself playing video games. He's spent a long time gathering a popular fanbase behind him so how does this newcomer get just as popular as him so much faster? Maybe he has more experience streaming than his fans think.
or
Streamer Katsuki and rival Izuku who also secretly doubles as a camboy.
[Mentions of Homophobia]
you and i collide by ethereals  ( M | 1,588+ | 1/2 )
And not that Bakugou’s the type to sexualize a potentially dead body; especially one that he just accidentally murdered, but the man has some pretty solid DSL’s. He would hit it, with more than just his car.
OR
in which rich fratboy! bakugou is a badass who accidentally hits poor med student!izuku with his car and chaos ensues therefore.
Uhh really at school? by sadklqmo  ( M | 797 | 1/1 )
Izuku just can’t help himself when it comes to Katsuki
[Underage]
You've Got Me In My Feelings by karmaticinstitution  ( E | 4,524+ | 1/3 )
In which Bakugou is a nerdy jock who acts like he's badass, Izuku is the new kid and collects everyone's hearts immediately. They start off a little wobbly, hookup, and things get a little messy.
The Reviews
“I thought you said you were doing homework” -My Roommate
"Like a shitty romance movie... but shittier" -Myself
[Underage]
Project: Heat by ellslane  ( E | 2,914 | 1/1 )
Katsuki can do this. He can control himself around Deku, who’s scent has spiked in sweetness and is dripping in pheromones. He can maintain his composure as they work together on a school project. He can keep himself in check as his stupid smell wafts through the air, and directly into his nose.
He can’t do this.
[Underage]
We Are Wanderers Still by semiautomatichearts  ( M | 7,444 | 1/1 )
His body is inundated in a halo of blue flowers, half buried beneath the gentle flow of a stream, and more a garden than a child when police at last discover him.
There had been a smile upon his face, warm in its innocence despite the decay evident in the skin, just beneath the cover of fluttering petals.
They called him lovely, hauntingly welcoming even in death.
It was only fitting that Bakugou Katsuki would follow.
[Major Character Death]
Once and Future Thing by Daiako (Achrya)  ( M | 16,127+ | 5/? )
When Shouto and Izuku accompany Tenya to take one last look at his childhood home before it's put up for sell they're expecting to lend some emotional support and to maybe see some embarrassing baby pictures. They do not expect to accidentally release three spirits from a shrine or for those spirits to declare them their 'wives' and partners.
Now, on top of school and work, they had to deal with the amorous advances of their spirits, help them atone for the crimes that got them locked up to begin with while adapting to the modern world, and figure out how exactly one gets out of a soul bond without any side effects.
Dear Future Boyfriend by peacheszxcx  ( G | 2,055+ | 16/? )

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by kewltie  ( M | 1,834+ | 1/? )
Even the devil got nothing on Bakugou Katsuki, but it may have hand him something else. Something otherworldly, something scaly and with a tail.
Series Part 7 of Gravitation
[Graphic Depictions of Violence]
¡Plus Ultra! by StormRebel_Love  ( T | 9,195+ | 6/? )
Quiet by thepizzaman ( Not Rated | 12,366+ | 2/? )
Everything seemed to be going smoothly for him, for once, since moving to the city. His job was secure, he had people to watch his back, and had a cheap apartment. Despite the outward appearance that hatred was looming in the air between him and his coworkers, they put up with him, and thanks to their manager they all had convinced themselves it was their personal duty to annoy the hell out of Bakugou in order to uncover the secret soft side he absolutely did not have. So far, he was good. But all that was thrown onto it’s head when Izuku Midoriya stumbled into the bar on a slow Friday night, already half way drunk.
[Graphic Depictions of Violence | Abusive Relationships | PTSD]
{ Curator’s Note: The abusive relationship tagged is not BakuDeku. }
Heart Out by minzie  ( E | 75,366+ | 13/? )
Bakugou Katsuki was not the type of person you’d call in an emergency. Sure, he’d help you out if he was standing right next to you and you were about to get stabbed because of his damn hero complex, and because he’s maybe, kind of, somewhere a decent person, but that’s about it.
It was just his luck that someone needed saving tonight, in more than one way.
Marigold and Hellebore by TheAngstyDuo  ( Not Rated | 8,042 | 1/1 )
Bakugou.
Mid-20s. Male. Japanese. Blood type AB.
Valedictorian in his class. Excellent combat skills, both hand-to-hand and far range. He has been chosen and agreed upon to be reassigned to the Facility. There, he will stand post at the main botany lab of Sector 3.
Luckily, he did not question about what the Facility holds but on what to do during his time here.
Though when he was brought to that main botany lab, accompanied by one of the older guards who was much older by ten years and much more experienced, he was introduced to the main researchers. Or rather, the heads or botanists - the ones that he will have to guard around.
[Major Character Death]
An Oasis for You and Me by SecretKiwi  ( E | 5,309 | 1/1 )
A prince and his retainer form a bond and grow closer than expected.
To be a hero by insertsmth  ( G | 2,760+ | 1/? )

What if in one life Shouto has already found Izuku and they’ve been together for awhile, so Izuku proposes to him? How do you think Shouto would react?
Hello! I have reached the next set of reincarnation au prompts~ Thank you so much for your patience and I hope you enjoy this~
Before this; the origin story, and the first reincarnation.
Seeing each other again after seventeen years apart is like falling in love all over again. Shouto takes it slow, tells himself that they’re just friends. It’s like the first time, when he met Izuku among spring flowers, except this time he met Izuku among falling snow.
He’s afraid of coming on too strong, of making assumptions just because Izuku loved him in a previous life.
Four years later Izuku kisses him among falling snow. He backs off almost immediately, looking mortified, and Shouto licks his lips. Izuku tasted just like Shouto remembers. Before Izuku can flee or stutter apologies Shouto leans in and kisses Izuku back.
That’s the start of their relationship, for the second time. Izuku does things that remind Shouto of his husband. He’s clever, good at reading people, and he’s filled with wonder at Shouto’s magic. He thinks out loud whenever he’s working through a problem, he cries when he has every emotion except anger, and his body feels the same tucked against Shouto’s side as it used to.
Life is good again.
“Shouto,” Izuku calls as he walks through the door five years into their relationship and Shouto jumps. He scrambles, yanking on the air to move the dishes a little faster. They clatter onto the table. “I’m home.”
“Welcome home,” Shouto calls back, trying to harness his will and slow his rapidly beating heart so he can move the pork roast to the table without spilling it everywhere.
“It’s cold outside,” Izuku says from the entryway. Shouto can hear him shaking himself out of his coat.
“Yes,” Shouto says, transferring the roast to the table smoothly. It takes a long moment and he can hear Izuku start to walk around the corner, his house shoes shuffling on the hard wood.
Is everything ready? It looks ready. Dishes, dinner, wine, water, utensils, candles… oh. With a flick of his fingers Shouto summons fire. It’s not fairyfire, which produces heat and light but doesn’t actually burn, or living fire, which burns and behaves as an otherworldly being would. This is just fire, dull, and it catches the wicks of the candles just as Izuku rounds the corner.
Izuku stops and stares.
“Happy anniversary,” Shouto says.
Tears well up in Izuku’s eyes. “Shouto.”
Shouto rushes to his side. “Ah, I’m sorry. I should have warned you, I just wanted it to be a surprise.”
“It’s beautiful,” Izuku says, voice thick with his tears. “It’s absolutely beautiful and you totally stole my thunder.”
Shouto blinks. “What?”
“I got us reservations,” Izuku says. “It was going to be a surprise.”
Shouto flushes. “I’m sorry. We could still go, if you want.”
Izuku shakes his head and wipes at his tears. “No, it’s fine. I like this better. It’s just missing something that I was going to have, but we can make it work.”
Shouto frowns and eyes his dinner. “What did I miss?”
Izuku pulls out a ring box. Shouto freezes.
“Todoroki Shouto, you have made my life magical. It feels like I was always meant to be with you. I know that I’m just a blink in your long existence but I was hoping that you would be willing to stay with me for the rest of my life and let me continue to try to make you happy.”
Shouto stares at the ring as it’s revealed to him. It’s simple, a lot like the ring Shouto used to have before he turned it into a sparkling container for their souls that hangs around his neck. It’s a promise, another promise. Izuku, his beautiful perfect husband, wants to marry him again.
He drags his eyes away from the ring and up to Izuku’s face. Izuku looks determined, biting his lip with anxiety. His hands are shaking just slightly where he holds the box.
Carefully, Shouto reaches out and takes the box from Izuku’s fingers. He sets it down on the table and then he takes Izuku’s face in his hands.
“You’re not just a blink in my long existence,” Shouto says and Izuku’s eyes, which had dried some, fill with tears again. “You were meant to be with me. I love you.”
Izuku makes a noise somewhere between a hiccup and a sniffle and a laugh. “Is that a yes?”
Shouto nods. “I would marry you a thousand times.” Will marry him a thousand times.
Izuku flings himself at Shouto, breaking his hold on Izuku’s face. Shouto catches him and kisses back.
After this; the tragic incarnation, then finding a picture of previous Izukus, then The Trees and the Sky and the Gold in Your Eyes, then Shouto visits Izuku at college.

Hi!! Welcome to my blog :D
Some tags you might wanna know about:
eggy's queue going insane (my queue)
icyhot headcanons (all my Todoroki hcs are in here, if you wanna see them. Also here's a playlist)
reblog from art blog (reblogs from my art blog)
Other tags I use for myself: writing, resources, for the future, inspo
AUs of mine that I would die for:
Rokitodo au (music playlist here) (tw for this au: panic attacks, graphic violence, blood, self harm/injury, lost of identity, death)
In which an accident during battle training splits Todoroki Shouto into two: Roki and Todo. The quirk is temporary, lasting only 5-7 months and ending with the two merging back together. This does not stop them from falling in love with each other.
Ghost Shouto au (tw for this au: death, graphic violence, abuse)
In which Shouto dies, and comes back to haunt UA as a ghost. The nine-year-old ghost doesn't know what to do, what to feel, but hanging around 1-A is nice, so what is there to lose?
Noumu Shouto au (currently has no masterpost explaining everything, but here are [2/3] of his quirks: Database, Projection. Music playlist here. Also scroll through #noumu shouto au for all of it) (tw for this au: graphic violence, abuse, captivity, blood, mutilation, self harm)
In which Shouto is made into a noumu as a child. He lives life with his four quirks: Half Hot Half Cold, Regeneration (which regenerates his limbs/heals his wounds), Database and Projection.
Bnha arg au (tw for this au: blood, abuse, split personalities, graphic violence, interrogation, captivity and some gore. All of this occurs in the ARG, no characters are actually harmed.)
In which 1A are assigned a rather strange assignment: the chosen students are to produce an ARG (Alternate Reality Game), and the other students are to solve their puzzles and push the story to the best ending possible. The chosen students are Todoroki, Shinsou and Monoma. The ARG they create? A world where the three of them are villains, or in Hitoshi's case, appear to be. (Characters they play are referred to by their first name. Surnames are the characters themselves out of ARG)
Candle light Shouto au (music playlist here) (tw for this au: self harm, abuse, threats of death, near death)
In which Shouto's life is tied to the flame of a candle, if it goes out, so does he. He's tied to the candle from birth, being "summoned" by a supposed witch and blessed with both ice and fire, a product of the Rei and Enji's blood being used to make the wax of the candle.
Yukimura Shouto au (tw for this au: mentions of abuse)
In which Shouto decides to take his mother's maiden name and reach out to his extended family on his mother's side, finding his aunt Atsuko, her husband Kazuya and their four kids.
Please ask about my aus and feel free to contribute!! I would sob of joy if you did either!! :DDD
Art blog is @fakefishytm please reblog my art!!
My ao3, if you wanna check out some of my works!!
My redbubble shop if you wanna get some stickers or prints!!
I hope you have a good stay on the blog, enjoy yourself 💚💙

Hiya! Friendly neighborhood cryptid here wondering about your really cool aus! I’m in school so I can’t read them rn but I’d like to know which ones your favorite? Or! If you can’t choose (cause I’d never be able to) what is your favorite part abt each of them? You ofc don’t have to answer this, but so far I love your content and im rlly happy to have found it!! Much love and I hope you’re doing well <3
-⭐️
:O cryptid!! hello!! my favourite au would be the villain todoroki au, but i can't spill too much about it because i've actually got stuff i'm planning and i don't wanna spoil it, but i can say!! Found family!! For my other existing aus though:
-rokitodo: it might be deceased and gone but i'm still really proud of all the content i churned out for rktd!! Especially with all the angst (looking at the ending right there)
-noumu shouto: .. . Angsty backstory that i need to elaborate on but that is besides the point, i really like the idea of noumu shouto and i've also got so much for this au i wanna talk about!! Specifically all the 'his quirks are killing him someone send help' stuff,,, and how kamino goes that in thag au. All For One's presence really does noumu shouto no good
-bnha arg au: ARGS!!! Monoma & Shinsou & Todoroki friendship!!! Their behind the scenes moments when Todoroki's acting out a whole mental breakdown and pauses with the most >:0 expression when Shinsou accidentally flicks some fake blood at him, or them generally being dumbasses and Monoma hounding Camie to see Maboroki right before they have to do that one livestream, and the LOV trying to figure out what the fuck is going on in the ARG instead of doing villain things
-ghost shouto au: it!! It's just 🥺🥺🥺 small tiny ghost todo floating around, befriending the one (1) other ghost who he can actually understand (/cough/ it's tsubasa) and them!! Kinda hovering around izu and katsu!! Tsubasa flickering in and out of existence every once in a while and little ghost shoto waiting for his friend to flicker back again
-candle light shouto: i'm just hrmng. Them. The todochako in that au is so sweet it genuinely hurts my heart. And the angst?? Of them?? It's delightful. I'm not gonna spoil it all cause i' hoping someone will come along and ask for candle light content and i'll get to use my big plot twist, but todo gets hurt real bad and it's amazing
