literally questioning the duffer’s writing ability so much more than i already did.

they’ve got great plots, but handle characters horribly.

vol 2 was the most grossly out of character things i have ever seen in my life. i just cant. vol 1 was amazing with the plot, especially in hawkins. it moved well it made sense, even the russia arc, which is admittedly my least favorite plot line of the season. s1, s2, s3 might have struggled, but all of them had great coherent plots that all wrapped up together in a very satisfying way.

if vol 2 are the only episodes 100% written by the duffers, then they should leave the scripts to other people, hell even the actors, and stick with creating the overall plot and side plots. because those were some of the most inorganic, uncomfortable to watch, and wholly unrealistic scenes i have ever watched. the writing was so patchy and uneven, it made no sense, and completely ruined so many character arcs

look, they killed eddie, they wiped out max, and made vickie a robin doppelgänger. plot wise, it makes sense. with the stakes that high, someone did have to die, and robin should get a love interest by now. shes not just a token lesbian coined just for the rep.

but the lack of mourning was so ridiculous, if you kill someone off you show how it impacted everyone. and the duffers even said that if they killed someone off the main cast they would have needed more time for the characters to mourn, so apparently they either dont take their own advice, or dont consider eddie as a part of the main group.

vickie is a casualty of the shitty writing, of the shitty development. (more like the lack of)

el and mike’s relationship made no sense. like none at all. will’s speech in the van was so wrong, because he is the heart. everyone loves him, mike even took his words and his encouragement to save el. and mikes speech was so fucked up, in a whole bunch of other ways. narratively, i appreciate the rousing monologue that helps save the day, but that was so shitty to watch. it regressed mike and el back to codependency and using will as a tool for them was a pathetic move.

and now, in your own words, s5 is getting marvel-ified. the immediate rush of action?? the mid season time skip?? they better have something good waiting for us so they dont fuck up because that season set up is insanely risky. but honestly-

it doesn’t matter what the plot even is, if the characters suck then everything else will. characters draw people into the world. establishing good dynamics, relationships, and depth in a character is what matters the most.

why else would people love steve if it wasnt for his growth??? or max for her depth??? ronance for their dynamic???

no one would be watching Stranger Things if we didnt care about the characters.

personally i love stranger things because of the characters. yes i love the central plot of the show but only because of how it impacts the characters and their relationships. stranger things has has some of the best potential for characters that i've ever seen and seeing that be neglected in vol2 is really disappointing. (i honestly think vol1 did excellent in keeping the characterizations even though it could've had just a bit less russia plot)

in the end, however, it is just a piece of media handed to writers who have dug themselves a hole. very nervous to see the results of s5 as a long-time fan

I really like mei, the sub/bottom male lead. I love him for being honest with naru that he doesn’t understand his way of life, he cant be like that. You are so so good and brave for saying that. Honestly, its 24/25 ch’s, its getting a bit annoying to see the creepy hag every other ch, and naru spending time with his weird harem, I don’t care for it and I am glad a lot of people don’t either. We care for two male leads and their love story. Author give two males from the harem there own story, cause she will, that’s for certain, but please just give us the story of engage, of mei and naru first. it's already been 3 volumes.

some thoughts about time and march days in stranger things s4 vol. 1  - long post

firstly,

i still think the date on the camera being will’s birthday was on purpose

(the camera with the date appeared twice for like 3 seconds, i doubt they would miss that importance of that day, and left it on display for this long without knowing, even after editing).

and even if duffer brothers mentioned ‘apologizing’ for ‘forgetting’ it was will’s birthday, that could simply be they’re not able to tell more about it. i feel it could be something about this day/event appearing again the vol 2.

hopefully with flashbacks why everyone (read: mostly mike) was acting weird™  on that day. 👀

(will we get more parallels about how this was a special day for will vs a special day for el?) 

if i remember correctly from rewatching the series, i can’t recall anyone else’s birthday was being brought up as this much important reminder to the audience, with the whole speech joyce gave to will in s2, and they would suddenly ‘forgot’ about it now.

(this is mostly my take on it, bc i’ve seen too many posts being upset about it, and taking duffer brothers words as guarantee they forgot, when technically the whole season isn’t out yet, and it could be potential spoiler so something later on. so its best not to take the interviews/hype too seriously.)

it’s interesting how much this season speaks about time. going back in time, being stuck in time, etc. the clock that appears as the vision of vecna’s victims, the date upside down is stuck on being the day will went missing (6th of november, 1983), and so on.

as well as El opening the 1st episode with voiceover of the letter to mike, mentioning how time flies, and how its funny how it slows down or speeds down, depending on emotions.

so we know this show is happening the week around 21march

another thing i noticed about a different march day, was in the newspapers about the creel house - a part that robin didnt read out loud (and i cant remember if anyone else said it out loud later in the show):

which coincidentally is the week s4 is taking place in march.

which made me wonder about vecna and some villain type of characteristics,

Vecna (it’s in 5e, but still could be relatable to the story), god of evil secrets, neutral evil, knowledge, hand with eye in the palm.

and while just looking about game structure and story line (about villains), this caught my attention

- anniversary of important event (the creel house tragedy)

- athletic event (the basketball game - it all began on that night  (while hellfire club were playing dnd about defeating vecna - and the 1st out of 2 last dice rolls - the one that failed - fell on number 11 👀 (the second roll being nat20, a critical hit... 👀) )

- birthday of an important NPC - could be will 👀 👀

it could be a series of events leading up to something big, similar to 25th march, just like in the past? - repeating of history, sort o thing. turning back the clock.

i dont know exactly where im going with this time theory/thoughts, but im curious if i will be pleasantly surprised if something like this connects in s4 vol. 2 or not.

either way, what im trying to say - Will is still very much important to the upside down plot, at least, i choose to hope its true. even though it feels like hes still being sidelined, i hope we will get to see him being the main focus again, and i cant wait to see how its all gonna go down once hes in hawkins again.

can you share your thoughts on kuro and iwanaga pls 🥺

ok first, i love them, so jot that down lmao i’m just going to be rambling w/ the information i have today!! which is ep7 of the anime & vol.10 of the manga!!

the first thing i want to touch on is this recent idea that kuro is with iwanaga by force, or her persistence, or not having romantic feelings for her... and even though i can see why people have that conclusion, i feel like a big factor to that ideal has been from 1) their romance has been subtext because of the genre and the fact that their relationship is established, and 2) the fact that kuro’s character, especially in the anime, is flat and often misconstrued... when he both has valid reasons for his characterization and has proven that he genuinely cares for her, her well-being, and their relationship. 

again!! i must repeat!! they are together in an established romantic relationship. this is not a budding romance, so we’re not going to get a lot of moments of them realizing their feelings/etc. he may have moments where he’s not prioritizing her, but he always makes up for it, and shows that he goes out of his way to make her happy. yes, he teases her relentlessly, and yes, he says he’s going to break up with her..... but literally all of his actions indicates his care.

also, the second thing i want to touch upon is that kuro and kotoko’s relationship is complicated because individually, they are complicated themselves. kuro’s lack of attachment can be explained away with the abuse of his grandmother, his strange relationship with rikka, and the fact that he’s immortal (like, why is he going to get legally married when he’ll never have a death certificate?). kotoko flirts, sure, but she’s distant herself. she’s shown that she has no hesitation of bending ethics to uphold the natural order, and that her job will always become before everything, even her health. before kuro, she’s described to being to herself and rare to any emotional outburst. nonetheless, she’s still a rich, protected daughter that was found dismembered... like she has her own rich backstory that doesn’t go away just bc she talks about being horny 24/7 lol

ok more things under the cut bc of spoilers and i cant be vague anymore:

THIRD THING!! another thing that gets brought about kuro’s feelings and it’s the fact that he has feelings for his cousin and saki still. therefore, his relationship with kotoko is strictly platonic... but that’s... that’s just not the case. i need to break this down into parts bc WHEW I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS

FIRST, if kuro has feelings for rikka, then there should have been no problem for them to be together. in the recent volume (10), she literally states that he was supposed to be hers... but what eventually ended up happening is the fact that kuro did get closer with kotoko. 

and see, the thing with that is..... if kuro has had nothing but feelings for rikka, then his relationship with saki wouldn’t have happened in the first place either. not to sound pro-inc*st, but they are immortal beings and the last of their family line. there’s literally nothing stopping them besides kuro not wanting to pursue a romantic relationship with rikka... and he didn’t. he got engaged to saki instead.

kuro has also stated that rikka was only in the hospital because she wanted to be mortal again, aka she wanted to die... but why? there’s events that we’re missing and won’t get to see into later down the line. regardless, it’s safe to say that kuro loves rikka to his full capacity as family and as someone who shared his same horrid past, but he doesn’t love her more than that. (he also said she was a monster beforehand anyway so.... idk, maybe that has something to do with that LOL.)

but that also brings us to the next thing: why saki?

it’s been clear that he dates saki because she looked like rikka. they were together to the point of engagement and talks of marriage, but nothing came into fruition bc he’s an immortal that scares off spectres.

but thats the thing too, their relationship would’ve never worked bc 1) he was always hiding the fact on who he was, and 2) again, he is immortal. maybe she was his attempt to be normal, but kuro’s very aware of his situation at all times. i don’t doubt he loved saki, but a lot of his residual feelings from the lady steel arc indicate guilt rather than lingering feelings.

and of course, he feels freaking guilty!!! he lied to her about his condition, and then scared her to the point where she couldn’t even eat certain meats. that’s a heavy burden to be at fault for. (luckily, they do resolve this and apologize to each other!! but that’s the thing too: be the end of lady steel, they aren’t letting go of their feelings. they’ve been aware that their relationship was over for a long time and that they both moved on. there were just some leftover wounds.)

AND AHHH!!!! i think its also to point out the fact that rikka approved saki (aka her clone), but she never approved kotoko. rikka said that she thought she could wait for kuro to get tired of kotoko, but he never did. that’s why kotoko became a bigger threat than she already was. not only was she an indicator that kuro wasn’t looking for rikka in people, but because his feelings for kotoko are genuine. it drives rikka to the point of insanity bc she literally is trying to create something to kill a god.

so to summarize: kuro loves rikka, but only as family. kuro dates saki bc she reminded him of rikka (aka probably the only he did know in his fucked up childhood), but it doesn’t work out bc he’s immortal anyway. kuro dates and ends up having actual feelings for kotoko, which brings us to the present and why rikka feels threatened to the point of violence.

also, since we’re nearing the end, there’s something also interesting about kuro and kotoko’s relationship that i’ve thought about since their christmas chapter. kuro is a broke college student. kotoko is an heiress. they’re constantly going on trips and dates, but for the most part, kuro is going out of his way to treat kotoko. he’s thankful for her parents for taking in rikka, but there’s not a plot about him being indebted to her/etc... and i’ve been thinking about this since the christmas chapter bc he chose to work at his part-time job than spend it with her. at first, it’s easy to be upset about it...... but again, kuro’s a broke college student. of course, he needs to work a lot. he not only has school, bills, and groceries, but he’s trying to accommodate kotoko to a lifestyle where she’s happiest in (like a goOD BOYFRIEND) and it makes me wanna cry ok

in conclusion, i just think it’s dumb to act like these two aren’t together or that they don’t have feelings for each other. it’s there. in fact, it’s probably the only constant/consistent thing in a story with a lot of moving parts. they both lead incredibly complicated lives, but they’re there for each other.

i won’t lie, kuro talks a lot of shit lmao, but i don’t get how that’s different from kotoko being overly sexual/vulgar when she doesn’t mean it either. kuro literally told her that he needs her and her response was telling him to not think he’s hot shit lololol. i get also bc kotoko’s overtly sexual (and lbr, attracts a lot of lolicons), so if she’s not being praised/not being treated like a princess by kuro, then that makes him a worse boyfriend... but he doesn’t treat her poorly. hell, that pinocchio proved that she really takes for granted that he dies a lot of her sometimes to the point with other spectres (aka the things that want to see kuro die LOL) think she (aka their god that they praise 24/7) is harsh.

but that’s what being in a relationship too is. you’re not going to appreciate someone at all hours of the day, but the point is, you have to be constantly taking care of each other, even when you don’t want to. kuro and kotoko are constantly taking care of each other, and thinking of each other’s well-being first and foremost. they might bicker, but that’s a fact that’s always acknowledged by everyone around them, despite initial opinions.

and tbh, i feel like kuro also feels a lot of guilt for rikka. maybe not for returning her feelings, but because his happiness with another person (kotoko) was the catalyst of her running away and causing havoc. i think that adds another layer to his distance with kotoko, but it doesn’t mean he has feelings for her romantically. what i really appreciate about the story is the fact that as simple as things are presented, there’s always a complex reason/backstory for it. there’s never a single moving part for anything. there’s plenty of motives and reasons.

Fine Line: rambles & rankings

hello here i am eleven hours after being knocked on my ass by one miss harry e styles with some thoughts if anyone is curious!!

1. Golden- the sad bop to end all sad bops!! the dichotomy of this music being the most fun and bouncy (the da das on tour!!) while his voice is the lower, steadier element of the song is so interesting to me? also the pessimism of this song is *chefs kiss* even if the idea of his vulnerability being an undesirable trait to his partner is heartbreaking

2. Watermelon Sugar- she slaps and we been knew!! this wins for best dance number for sure and i can’t wait for us all to be grovin and yelling “high!” back at him

3. Adore You- i think after a week ive concluded that this was my least favorite of the 3 released songs, only just slightly? but i absolutely love singing along to this, and ofc the eroda aesthetic is forever connected to it and absolutely incredible

4. Lights Up- baby light of my life :’) i love lights up and i will always love lights up, shes always gonna be special to me knowing what it means to harry and the way he decided to release it on coming out day with that video, and i hope he continues making art like this for a long time to come

5. Cherry- i? wasn’t?? prepared??? to be perfectly real, i wasnt anticipating this being a fav from what we heard in reviews, BUT THIS? musically this is so exactly the sound i want from him (hozier meets bon iver but make it harry?? BLESSED) and im absolutely in love with it. and his voice!! pulled the first tears out of me on the listen through :’) the way he harps on “don’t you call him baby” in the softest most fragile way over top this melody is art, put it in the moma

6. Falling- MA’AM THESE VOCALS. i love that this is pretty bare bones musically to really highlight the vocals and the emotions, both of which go absolutely off. its maybe not the most ~interesting~ to listen to compared to others, but the power of this LIVE? holy shit thats 100% where this is going to flourish

7. To Be So Lonely- starting with “I was just a little boy” PLEASE BE QUITE im not okay. anyways there is something about the way these lyrics sit in the pocket of the music that im obsessed with. i wasnt sure how i felt about either one their own, but god the way the “arrogant son of a bitch” line is weaved in with these instruments (the strings on this!!), i feel that shit in my CHEST

8. She- hello to what i feel are the most hs1-esque vibes on this album, except definitely different and COOLER!! its weird bc this is a sound that i already easily associate with harry, but lyrically/conceptually this is fascinating territory. There are layers to be unpacked here and ive already seen some galaxy brain interpretations so im excited to let this one marinate (the falsetto and “plays pretend” lyrics… okay ma’am) also the “sleeps in his bed” vocal FUCK! and of course mitchell went off and i cant wait for harr to be all over him on tour

9. Sunflower Vol. 6- MY FUNKY LIL BABY this is so sugary in a way thats not at all cheesy but makes me smile so! much! the gasp, the sounds at the end… could not be more babie and i just know im gonna fall in love with the bits and bobs of this more and more every time i listen. shout out to the Queen vibes i got from the “tonight tonight tonight” parts! and also did i mention the end is the cutest thing what the fuck

10. Canyon Moon- these absolute VIBES shes THAT GIRL!! this is so sweet and tender im soft. the “Im going”s are so fucking PRETTY? the beautiful dulcimer sweetie you are doing so great. idek what else to say this is the soundtrack to the gay indie roadtrip movie i want harry to star in and i love it with my whole heart thats it

11. TPWK- hating on this is literally illegal?? babie made this for and about us and the space we mutually created on tour THIS IS OURS. hes feeling good in his skin and dancing with us!! even if he doesn’t have all the answers!! the Queen vibes in this too we love, and we are going to have SO MUCH FUN singing n dancing with him to this :’) the “loooong enough” vocal and then his “all together now” stuff at the end is so happy, healing and sweet i love him so much

12. Fine Line- *sigh* what am i supposed to say? what can i do? musically and vocally this is everything ive ever fucking wanted (again i didnt quite realize that harry styles pulling a bon iver was exactly my niche but guess what it absolutely is). HER FALSETTO HER VOICE THIS DELICATE TENDERNESS?? Cannot think of a single thing ive heard thats more stunningly gorgeous than the way he sings “we’ll be a fine line/we’ll be alright” so guess thats it for me lmao. similar to cherry, on paper these lyrics are not a hit for me (at least without analysis), but god it doesnt fucking MATTER bc they come across so abstract and transcendent in context (and open my mind to so many other interpretive possibilities) that i cannot not be in love. And then of course the horns come in and we get the hopeful turn…this song makes me feel things on a level nothing he’s made before ever has. 

Overall this album threw me for the loop of a lifetime; its so different from what i was expecting and even hoping for, but without a doubt the most special thing i’ve listened to in as long as i can remember. these songs deliver on a level hs1 barely scratched the surface of, and i cannot wait to see how harry continues to grow and reach even higher places across his career. endlessly proud of him, always.

why do you think sensei doesnt pray for the lunarians? i really dont think its cause hes 'broken' since he's been shown helping shiro and the game pieces move on. i assume its bc he cant pray them away unless they're ready to move on but also dont know if the answer will really be that simple. i also have a theory that maybe he's literally tired from praying - the more he prays, the sleepier he gets. before praying the moonies away, he wants to prepare the gems for the day he might not wake up.

hmm i actually believe he hasn’t prayed for shiro, since he said shiro was “satisfied” or something like that. It sounds like shiro was unable to find peace before visiting sensei one last time, but after that he probably disappeared on his own…? (and speaking of that, I remember the french tl of vol 8 mentioning sensei was unable to pray for animals because his creator(s) made him as a prayer machine for humans only, and that’s why shiro was still there after all this time..  Still, I guess it could become an issue at some point, since ch72 confirms there’s still animals on the moon ..? Not sure where ichikawa is going with this tbh)And yeahh, I don’t know if the puzzle pieces would count as a confirmation that he’s able to pray; what are they even made of ? Can you compare them to human souls ? I feel like sensei had no control over those either, since he seemed really relieved when they disappeared and even thanked them, but they seem like some sort of abnomaly.

So, something like your theory may be possible : another similar theory I’ve seen a few times is that sensei may be keeping lunarians alive because gem society entierly revolves around them, so if they were to disappear gems would no longer have a reason to live, and they’d be bored for eternity.Both this theory and yours make sense, buuut i feel like they might be incoherent considering sensei’s speech around chapter 65, when Phos left for the moon with half of the gems. Sensei told the gems to keep going without him ; i don’t know what his plan was supposed to be, but since the lunarians are after him, the gems would have been left alone and it would be really counterproductive. Yet, sensei was ready to abandon the gems if that meant the lunarians would stop killing them, so it really feels like he won’t/can’t pray for lunarians for a really personal reason, and not something that would involve gems. 

Now, here’s my personal take : I think sensei could actually be broken, but it’s not a huge deal because living beings are still able to die without his intervention anyway. But still, the lunarians would want him to get to work because :1) they are ignorant and think sensei praying is the only way for them to die, 2) or, they want to die as soon as possible and finding peace by themselves would take them too long, or too much effort, 3) or, they’re literally unable to find peace like shiro because they’re troubled and restless (possibly because of their human nature?) - and sensei would really be their only hope.

Another possibility is that sensei may not be a prayer machine at all, or at least not in the way the lunarians think he is. To be fair, you have to keep in mind that the lunarians seem 100% different from humans (as in, i doubt they remember anything from their human lives), and they have no way to prove what they say, which means they may be wrong on many points without even realising it. Sensei told phos he was a “tool created by humans”, but unfortunately phos didn’t ask him anything else on that topic, so for all we know sensei could be a pasta machine or literally anything else.

So yeah, my point is, it seems like a soul has to meet specific requirements to be able to die. So, i feel like sensei may not be a LITERAL prayer machine, but more like some sort of “guide”, or even a teacher, supposed to show the lunarians how they can meet these requirements or find peace or something like that - and since the lunarians don’t understand how he’s supposed to work, they keep doing shitty things to get him to pay attention and he situation keeps getting worse. I think it could make sense cause :

- it seems coherent considering the buddhist subtext ; buddhism tends to teach values like patience and bettering oneself, etc etc, and i think the lunarians being forced to live eternally sounds like some sort of punishment for their bad actions and the way they keep doing questionable things even in death. They’re pretty much stuck in a vicious circle producing nothing but bad karma, and i can’t see it stop all of a sudden because they received a few prayers. On the other hand, keeping them alive for a bit (…or lot) longer so they can learn how they should behave sounds more fair.- Sensei’s first decision when he found out about the gems’ existence was to give them “healthful and learned lives”, his primary attribute is servility, and it seems he literally named himself Sensei ? And yet, we know he tends to be limited by his nature as a robot, so either professor made a prayer machine and went “but what if it could also be a Dad”, either being a teacher/caretaker was another of his main attributes.- Honestly, so far 90% of the conflicts in hnk have been caused by people being awfully bad at communicating so i really feel like assuming the lunarians jumped to conclusions regarding sensei’s role and they accidentally doomed themselves

Or maybe that’s just a huge stretch, idk. But hey, since sensei seems to be unable to talk about anything related to his identity, it looks like we we’ll have to wait for a while before knowing what’s going on /:

I bought Dark Cybertron vol. 2 a while back (it was on the shelf at the shop so i wanted to secure it for myself for later), and i SHOULD finally have vol. 1 soon so i can actually read both of them and move forward with the mtmte (and then eventually LL) story.... I also prepared for dark cybertron by reading the first 5 volumes of RiD.  it was. a nightmare. gggod. uugghhh. BUT I PERSEVERED. I’m sorry that the duffer brothers felt that this was good enough writing to finish something amazing, and i am willingly ready to partake in a rewrite of vol 2 because this was blasphemous. (apologies ahead of time for the sheer amount of ranting i am going to do)

okay like first?? steve??? just. no. that whole spiel about the six ‘nuggets’ (that wounded me) and him LITERALLY SAYING THAT LIKE HES STILL IN LOVE WITH NANCY AND HE WANTS HER TO HAVE S I X KIDS WITH HIM ITS LIKE HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW HER BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW SHE AINT BUILT FOR THAT. ALSO nancy was in the middle of talking about robin, a person for whom they both care about, and its like he just redirected the conversation onto him. it looked like someone tried to inject more ronance but then someone else just like sidestepped it into Steve/Nancy, which was SO bad. Steve and Nancy shouldn’t be a thing. they just cant give each other what they need. Same with Jonathan and Nancy. Honestly, I did enjoy their relationship in all the past seasons, but s4 its been so strained and weird and the fact that Jonathan didnt even come clean to her at the end about the college apps was just ridiculous, and the exact moment i knew that they weren’t going to last. even their interactions at the end seemed weird and stiff, like neither of them really wanted to be there. (I hope they dont make her get with either of them. And maybe im just a diehard Ronance shipper, but Robin and Nancy make the most sense!!!)

Second point- Robin and Vickie

10000000.999999% unneeded and unwanted and unfunctional. If youre going to give the only explicitly confirmed gay character a love interest, the worst thing you could do was use the ‘oh no my crush is straight oh wait no she dumped him and now i think she likes me’ trope. tired, overdone, nasty. not even to mention the fact that Vickie is just. a straight (haha) up clone of Robin. They are the same person. They could be revealed to be cousins in s5 and i wouldnt be surprised. It’s tasteless and pathetic to watch. And it’s even more hurtful, because so many of us fans genuinely are in love with Robin and invested with her because we can connect to her the most, and the Duffers just cop out of a genuine and amazing relationship (ronance) and just turn to the basic and unflavorful This Was Obviously Written By A Straight Person relationship of Robin and Vickie.

And Max. And, you know let’s loop in Eddie too. Since they both died. Oh wait.

I’m not even sure to tackle Max’s death. i love her SO MUCH. she’s my second favorite character (right behind Robin). if i was in that situation, i would have let her die. its just easier, and we dont even know if, once dead, she even wanted to come back. this trope of bringing someone back always has consequences, which is why im not really a fan of it in the first place. it requires delicate writing because the situation can get bad very fast. and as of vol 2, im not sure the duffers can do it. (that being said, obviously i dont know their plan for max, but plots like these are kinda hit or miss yk? its just such a big thing)

Eddie’s death was anything but compelling. Like, i knew he was dying but i was kinda…. bored? idk if thats the right word to use, but it just felt kinda off. and the fact that no one addressed it besides Dustin, like, Eddie had so many more friends. and in my mind i think the whole ‘eddie died saving a town that didnt love him’ was more of a white lie for his uncle, because eddie didnt owe Hawkins anything. i mean, it does make him a hero in the way that everyone who helped was a hero, but not everyone needs a ‘redemption’ arc to better be accepted by society. like, his whole thing was kinda that he was different and he didnt care what other people thought. and he had so much potential too!!!

(MHA/BNHA) ...welp....this can backfire for Jaune.... - OMG Ren please please please be careful. Ren and Nora are probably gonna team up to fight Hazel but if he hurts them or something worse I will hate him - Nora we all know this but you are SO AWESOME!!!! - Pain or no pain...Hazel is gonna tear himself apart with all that dust. Pain is useful for survival. It tells you when you need to stop or when you are severally hurt..... Hazel isn't or can't listen to that. - Blake finally!!!!! It took you the whole damn volume to join back with your group but dang you got there at the right time! - So many things are happening! Everyone can use Jaune's semblance as a booster/buffer, Blake arrived with a lot of allies, she faced against Adam, the bombs were deactivated, Blake hit Adam!, and Weiss is using the abundance of aura she got from Jaune to amplify her semblance and fight Hazel! This is so cool! - Yang didn't even lose her cool! But she lost her arm again in front of Blake....damn xD - I still think the last spring maiden was Summer.... - We finally get to see Raven fight. Cinder is dual wielding. And this fight reminds me of Ozpin vs Cinder. Also Cinders grim arm isn't protected against aura. The gang is back together and Yang ran off. We'll see how that goes in the finale. O.o Btw there are a few theories i have for the maidens and the finale. 1) Cinder isn't dead and comes back to kill Raven. Raven dies and Yang becomes the Spring Maiden. Alternatively, her last thoughts would be of Cinder....ehhhh 2) Cinder does die and her last thoughts are of Ruby because revenge. How tragic would that be? Helping your most hated foe get even more power? And power you really really wanted and thought you were entitled to? Ruby would probably become the fall maiden. 3) Yang dies? Or gets badly injured...again... Idk it seems suspicious that Yang would arrive right after things are going pretty well after that big fight between Cinder and Raven... 4) Both Cinder and Raven die and power gets transferred to both Yang and Ruby. I wouldn't really liked if this happened because that would be a hell of a coincidence but ehh. Idk it seems suspicious that Cinder was supposed to have died and yet we haven't heard anything about a power transfer yet. I still don't think she died and that is why I'm nervous for next episode...

Cool cool. - OPTIMUS RIDING THE ROBOT HYDRA INTO BATTLE AND BLOWING EVERYTHING UP WAS GREAT. MAN THAT WAS GOOD. "DID YOU FORGET WHO I AM" WOOOO BOY CHILLS MAN!!!! - OH COME ON they still made out. Lmao. Dangit. It was inevitable but I mean come on man. Alright. They kept it short and quick thank you tho if u had to put in a make out scene at least u kept it to a minimum. Thank you. They just jump cut STRAIGHT to those credits man not even an ending panorama or clean slow zoom out shot or anything lmao - AND OH BOY THEY TEASED UNICRON’S GONNA ACTUALLY COME BACK AND APPEAR IN ANOTHER MOVIE AAAAAAA OH NO OH BOY NOT AGAIN GOSH DARN IT LMAO 

All in all, surprisingly, I actually ended up kinda enjoying it!! Like it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! Tbh for me it might even be second best in the series!! (First being the first movie from 2008 lmao) Honestly I was really REALLY surprised at how much I didn't hate it. Like. I still dislike it to a degree because it's still Bayverse, and I probably won't watch it again unless I'm with friends (like I do with the rest of the transformers movies) but it honestly wasn't too too bad! It really exceeded my expectations as far as plot, and I wasn't hardcore cringing for most of the movie so hey that's a plus!! The movie had a lot of genuinely funny moments, especially with Cogman, which got some pretty good laughs outta me like I was really having fun at those parts!! Optimus’ absence for most of the movie didn’t sit well with me for some reason. Like it just felt strange. But it kinda had to be for the story to move forward so I guess I can forgive that lol. The pacing was REALLY whack and way too fast though. Like they were REALLY trying to cram a whole lotta stuff into a relatively short amount of time. The movie's almost two and a half hours long but it really didn't feel like that because of how fast the pacing was. Some of the dialogue felt really forced because of this issue too. It didn’t feel genuine sometimes. But that has to be like, pretty much my only specific issue with it?? surprisingly?? wow. I'm honestly super shocked lmao dang man I didn’t think I’d like this movie at all but I was very much proved wrong!! I hated those old ladies tho and their obsession to get Vivian a boyfriend and the whole innuendo thing. Yeah. No. Don't do that. Stop. I'm too ace for this.

MCU Phase 3 Chronology (theories)

I’ve become so obsessed with MCU Chronology, and it’s looking like most of their upcoming projects aren’t going to take place in real time like it’s been said they all do.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  -  The director has confirmed it takes place two months after the first Guardians movie.  With that occuring in late Summer 2014, that means that watching choronologically would put both Guardians movies taking place back-to-back in between seasons 1 and 2 of Agents of Shield

Spiderman: Homecoming - Bits from the trailers show Spidey in his homemade suit.  Some people think that it means his Stark-fashioned suit will break at some point, forcing him to go back to the old one.  But the fact that we also get to see Tony dropping Peter off at home after Civil War suggests that we get flashbacks to some of Peter’s first outings as Spiderman before CW (i hope). My theory: we see Spiderman try out his hero thing before Civil War (not the very beginning, good god no more uncle ben), and he gets his ass handed to him by the Vulture and Shocker (that Coney island scene comes to mind when he gets blasted into a school bus).  Then Civil War happens, Tony drops Spidey off in Queens with the warning for him to lie low, just be a kid, everything we heard in the trailer.  But Peter is anxious to put the new suit to use against the villains that bested him so easily in the past, and things get crazy from there, all coming to a head around the time of his Homecoming dance in the fall of 2016.

Thor: Ragnarok -  I’d think (and hope) they’d give us some insight into just what happened with Thor when he left Midgard at the end of Age of Ultron back in 2015.  But then we know Dr. Strange is involved in Ragnarok’s plot, which means either it’s a very long-spanning movie (2015-2017) or they’re going to skip straight to real-time and have some brush-off reason for what Thor was doing for two whole years.  One theory I have is that Thor returns to Asgard to find Loki just way in over his head as ruler.  The fake king enters into some agreement with Hela and gave her too much control, and she, upon Thor’s return, destroy’s Mjolnir (hopefully revealing an infinity stone inside) and banishes both brothers from Asgard and into the custody of the Grandmaster.  With the help of the Hulk and Valkyrie they escape the Grandmaster’s gladiator-type prison two years after imprisonment (two years is really just like blinking to Asgardians, after all) and eventually get to Earth to find Odin on the way, then go to reclaim Asgard from Hela.  

Black Panther - It’s been said that a lot of this movie is going to focus on the history of the Black Panther - as a mantle, not just T’Challa, so we get to see previous Black Panthers.  It’s also going to give us a view of T’Challa’s school days in California as a child.  There’s obviously going to be a present story as well, with Kilmonger and Klaue confirmed as villains, but the present day might be just after Civil War in 2016, with T’Challa returning to Wakanda as king.

Iron Fist and the Defenders - Obviously Iron Fist happens after Luke Cage, from Claire taking Colleen Wing’s flyer.  From Claire’s context we also know that Daredevil’s second season takes place right before Luke Cage, and Charlie Cox says that the Defenders is only a few months after Daredevil’s second season.  So, Iron Fist likely is going to take place very soon after Luke Cage happens (early 2016) and the Defenders probably very soon after that (early-mid 2016)

Infinity War - This one, I feel, is going to be real-time, taking place in 2018.  The only real hint is Groot.  As said before, James Gunn says that GotGv2 happens two months after the first movie (2014).  So it took two months for Groot to grow from a little stick in a pot to....a very tiny Groot that’s not much bigger.  Vin Diesel has teased that Infinity War is going to feature Groot fighting the Hulk, and I imagine he’s going to need to have returned to full size if that’s going to be a fair fight.  So, yeah, Infinity War is going to need to give Groot the four years to grow back up, just in time for IW to be released in 2018.
