Ah… The good old days where we had the Captain making quality content… At the moment I’m not sure where to find these videos. But you know what? I’ll do my homework and figure out if I can salvage anything from Captain’s old channel. I’ll share them here (or link them in a Google Doc).

shoutout to kakashi for being instantly able to recognize obito when his mask got destroyed because 13 year old obito and 31 year old obito look nothing alike to me and if i were kakashi (thank god i am not) i would immediately assume he was just some random uchiha survivor that also managed to snag obito’s sharingan from his body under the rocks

@captain-konami-code ah, i'd either forgotten that or stopped paying because there was so much going on and it was all too bonkers to think about. boring decision on kishi's part not to commit to the grave robbing, but i get why he wouldn't want to fully embrace the fact that he was writing a zombie war

madara knowing that is one of the most absurd moments. in what world would tobirama not have noticed that someone was spying on him during his evil scientist projects, especially when it's the guy he actively distrusts the most sbdbdbdhd (unless we're supposed to believe that he told someone who let madara know? or told madara himself? neither of which is better)

I, personally, like to think of Adora-Catra dynamic as similar to Zuko-Azula from ATLA. There are individual character parallels, and in both cases they were raised by a narcissistic parent who singled out the Golden Child and the Black Sheep. And while it's clear that they still care about each other to some extent, their relationship is overall abusive. (“Zuzu” and “hey Adora” have the same energy, change my mind.)

In all honesty, I’ve never seen ATLA; but I’ve seen multiple posts on here comparing Zuko to Catra - and since the series recently launched on Netflix, I think I’m going to start watching it now out of sheer curiosity since it seems to be super popular, aha. Until then though, I can’t compare myself. Regardless though, this is still an interesting take; and I’ll give my opinion if/when I ever finish the series.

why are you anti catradora?

1. They grew up together under the same mother figure, which makes them sisters and ship incestious

2. Catra is incredebly possesive over adora, going as far as to physically assulting her when she dared to befriend other people

3. When they were on the opposite sites of war (mind you catra willingly stayed with horde, even though adora tried to convince her to go with her multiple times) catra had no problem with hurting adora, physically and emotionally. Ha, she had no problem with that even when they were "friends".

4. Adora keeps getting blamed for things that aren't her falut, like leaving the abusive and toxic "household" (from the lack of a better word)

5. Catra is constantly being violent towards adora, slapping, hitting, scraching, electroducing her etc.

6. Ship sends a message "you should stay with your abuser, they had it toughter than you"

@captain-konami-code Youre free to feel that way but I don’t hold the same view for the fact that Kakashi is traumatized and no one gets to tell trauma victims how they should or shouldnt act (so long as they’re not hurting other people) in order to cope with their trauma. Most people wouldn’t do it to irl trauma victims and if we’re gonna add in real psychological issues into Naruto, which everyone does, then we gotta do it 100%. Don't think Kishi gave us enough in terms of how Kakashi dealt with life for the 12 years Naruto was growing up so a lot of things end up as fan interpretation. Some people think Kakashi probably avoided Naruto because he reminded him too much of Minato and Kushina and how he failed them. He was also in Anbu and considering how worried Kakashis friends were for him when he was in Anbu, I highly doubt Kakashi was in any mind to care for a child in almost any capacity. Some people say that because he lost everyone he got close to he most likely wouldn’t have wanted to care too much for him anyway out of that fear. Kakashi’s also been independent and a soldier since he was a child and I have doubts that he’d have really understood how to care for Naruto because he didn’t need that kind of care from others for a very long time. So its not so much that I think he had no options, I just think Kakashi chose to cope with his trauma the best way he knew how and i dont think he should be hated for doing so. Maybe if Konoha wasn’t so awful, maybe if Kakashi was given help to cope, he couldve helped Naruto. Maybe everything couldve stayed bad and Kakashi couldve tried being there for Naruto as a kid and wouldve fucked him up more. No one knows, so the idea that he did fail Naruto, considering we dont know how things wouldve looked otherwise, isn’t really true, though it is possible.
