{ klarolineauseason } - week 1: canon divergence
It's been one thousand years - Caroline has officially been alive for as long as Klaus had when he died, and yet, she has never forgotten him.
But a millennia is how long it took her to find a solution to her hybrid-less life, and now she's more than ready to go back and change the past. It turns out that an eternal existence without the warm comfort of Klaus' presence on the sidelines wasn't what she wanted - she had missed him for so long that his absence almost turned into an obsession, and Caroline was tired of dreams and memories.
So now, with the help of a few rare artifacts and some very powerful dark magic, Caroline is going to get herself back in time and prevent the tragedy from happening - no matter how much she will sacrifice in order to do so.
It's time for her to be selfish.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"The entire world is a dreadful collection of memoranda that she did exist, and that I have lost her!"
[Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights (chapt. XXXIII)]
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
She had died; when the old crone had pierced her heart with a blessed wooden stake, as her chanting became louder and louder and the words lost meaning, Caroline had unequivocally died. She had to, so that her soul could travel backwards, annulling the last millennia like a hand swiping across a blackboard.
One moment she was, the next she was no more - and then it felt like being everywhere and everytime, as the spell warped reality, undoing it, and dragging her back to the time in which she had anchored herself through the little bit of hybrid blood that she had kept all of this time.
It felt like being in the eye of a hurricane, until abruptly everything stopped.
And she felt like being in a corporeal state once again.
A hoarse gasp echoes in the deadly silent living room, and the vampire laying on the couch blinks her eyes open.
The tangy taste of blood still lingers on her tongue, a blood she immediately recognizes - centuries weren't able to delete that particular memory from her brain - and instinct tells her immediately when the spell has taken her.
It was the chosen moment - before everything started going downhill for him, and for her too.
She turns her head, slowly, barely allowing herself to hope - and there he is, sitting on the leather lounge-chair next to the window, the warm glow of the lamp casting morbid shadows upon his stony face.
He looks angrier and more dangerous than she remembers - or maybe time had simply allowed her to grasp a bette understanding of him to the point of noticing even the smallest of his expressions - even so, she couldn't be happier.
Before she has fully made up her mind - she should probably evaluate the situation, come up with a plan, try not to fuck up too much the timeline as the witches had repeatedly reminded her, but those thoughts come a second too late - she's already up and across the room, a knot closing her throat as she tries not to cry, and --
-- in his arms.
((It doesn't feel real to touch him, hold him, feel his breath against her cheek after all this time. It would be a lie to say that her every waking moment was spent thinking of him, yet there was always something - a word, an object, a place - that made the memory of him go off in her mind, feeding her longing, alimenting her obsession. Exacerbating the void left by his absence. And the feeling of their last kiss still seared in her brain, the bittersweet taste of a goodbye that they weren't supposed to say.
He had promised her an eternity, but was gone long before that started. It wasn't fair - he wasn't supposed to die, not after everything.
She had lived missing what they never were.))
Klaus is not privy to the whirlwind going on inside her mind - he simply found himself holding the trembling bundle of a distressed vampire before he had the time to blink her back into focus. His ancient instinct works faster than his mind, and his hand circles around her throat in a manner both harsh and delicate.
Yet, despite the grief and the rage still cursing through his veins, his voice is surprisingly soft when he calls her name, confused and wary. "Caroline…?"
Her hands hold on tighter on the lapels of his jacket, and a sound somewhere between a sob and a laugh comes from her lips.
"It worked," she murmurs, finally backing away to look him in the eyes. "God, it worked! You're alive."
That's when he notices it.
There is something different in the depth of her eyes, something that wasn't there only a few hours earlier - a weariness, a harshness that belonged more on one of his siblings rather than someone like Caroline - and it gives him pause, forcing to assess her, for the first time in a long while, as a potential enemy.
She doesn't look bothered by his hand around her throat, as if she trusts him, implicitly, not to overly harm her. Which is strange, considering that he bit her no less than twenty-four hours ago for much less than a potential physical threat.
Klaus frowns, barely noticing when his own thumb starts rubbing gently against her skin, lost in thought. The Caroline he has gotten to know wouldn't act this way, he is sure of it, even if she's apparently aware of his feelings - as she even told him earlier, in her attempt to coax him to save her.
If she was able to unleash this kind of gaze on him... He can almost taste her relief, see the yearning in the way she seems to physically restrain herself from - what? He swallows, his gaze dropping to her pale lips before catching himself - he must have given her more blood than he realized, if his brain has stopped working to this extent.
He almost calls her again to bring her back from whatever place her mind seems to have stuck, but in that moment Caroline backs away slowly, steel suddenly bleeding into her eyes.
"And I'm going to make you stay that way."

‘Sweetest of the Sunflowers’
This started off has an HC list of the Sinclairs dating twins but then it took on a mind of its own and now its over 25K words and I have no end in sight. So I’ll post a portion every couple days! Title inspired by Sun to Me by Zach Bryan you don’t have to listen to understand but I think it fits the way the story is heading :)
Summary: Twin sisters Catherine (Katie) and Caroline end up in Ambrose after their car breaks down on their drive from Georgia to California. Bo convinces Vincent they should keep the girls and make them their wives. A twin for each twin. Will the girls escape? Will they learn to live their new lives? Will they even survive?
I have a post where I kinda give some insight on certain aspects (ex- I hc Vincent ‘can’ talk but doesn’t like to and why) here
This is for 18+ only minors DNI just go watch the movie with your parents permission.
Warnings: kidnapping, forced marriage, dub-con, attempted non-con, abuse, Stockholm syndrome, age gap (15 years- K&C are 19 Sinclairs are 33 soon to be 34 yes we will have a birthday party for them). Don’t like it don’t read it.
So welcome to the first chapter of this story!
Tag list: @ostricx (let me know if you want to be tagged!)

Bo couldn’t hold back the smirk when they walked in the shop. Two beautiful twins. They were identical with the same dark chocolate hair and hazel eyes that seemed almost green in the lights but they were different- one had her long hair down and following freely in wavy curls looking lost in space as she wandered around his shop while the other had half her short hair pulled up in two buns and was trying to explain what was wrong with their car looking very focused on getting back on the road. “Well doll it’ll take me a while to go over everything. Why don’t you go on up to see the town jewel. House of Wax, just go on in I know the owner you’re safe.”
“Okay. Thank you so much. Come on, Caroline.”
“But Katie, why can’t we just stay here? I don’t want to walk anymore.” The one with curls, Caroline complained. Caroline, pretty name for a pretty girl.
“Just come on. This is your fault anyway. I can’t believe you have never taken your car to get checked.” Katie huffed out grabbing her twins arm pulling her to the door.
“Well sorry some of us weren’t so far up dad’s ass to learn all the special shit about cars, Catherine.”
“This is basic knowledge Caroline, don’t go full name on me. Let’s go.”
She was finally able to pull her out the door and towards the museum.
He knew what was wrong with the car it needed oil- from what he just heard hadn’t been changed in a while or maybe ever. But he had no plans on fixing that anytime soon. He made his way through the underground tunnels to find Vincent, “Vinny you ain’t gonna believe what little slices of heaven just fell in Ambrose. Walking through town like angels.” He said forcing Vincent away from his work and up to the museum so they could watch the girls.
“Oh my god this stuff is creepy. It’s like a house full of dead people.” Caroline said with a disturbed look.
“1. Be nice someone worked really hard on these. 2. They aren’t creepy they are cool. The artist is so talented.” Katie scolded her sister and continued to admire the art.
The boys continued to follow them around the museum until they had seen everything. Suddenly Caroline gasped, “A puppy! Look, look! Hi puppy.” A black and white dog trotted over to where the girl had squatted down. “Oh she’s so cute. Do you think she lives here?” She looked up to her sister.
Katie sighed softy almost a laugh and bent down with her sister, “Probably, she seems content here. She probably belongs to the owner of the museum.” She looked at the dog’s collar, “Jonesy, that’s a cute name.” She scratched the pup’s head before Jonesy licked her arm, “A sweet baby too.”
The girls loved on Jonesy a few more minutes without noticing the watching eyes on them.
—-
The boys went back to Vincent’s studio under the museum.
“So what ya think? We could keep them. I’ll take the curly hair and you can have the other one. She seems to appreciate what you and Mama do.” Bo looked at his twin who had already started getting back to work. Vincent shook his head and continued working. Sure the girl was beautiful and it was nice to have someone besides his brothers say nice things about his art. But he could never live a normal life like Bo or Lester could.
“Come on, Vinny. I think its time we find us some girls. Get to work making Ambrose full again.” Bo wasn’t backing down.
Vincent scribbled fiercely on a notepad and thrust it at his brother, ~Do whatever you want. Maybe Lester wants the other one~.
“Nah, it’s perfect for us. Twins and twins. I know you think she’s pretty.” Bo said tossing the notepad back letting Vincent write out his reply.
~How do you expect this to happen? How is it going to work?~
Bo read over the replied and chuckled darkly, “Easy. Knock ‘em out. I’ll bring mine back down under the shop and you bring yours back here. They gotta listen and cooperate eventually if they want anything.” Of course Bo’s plan was by force. Vincent thought it over knowing his brother wouldn’t back down. It would be nice to have someone has his own. He had been alone for so long since Mama had died. And if this girl liked his art than maybe she could learn to like him, even love him.
He finally turned fully to look at Bo and nodded his head.
“Well damn that took less convincing than I thought it would. Okay they should be back at the shop by now looking for me. Just gotta get behind them and grab.” Bo smirked and started walking away with Vincent trudging behind.
‘Oh no the cute car guy is gone.’ Caroline thought as she and her twin walked in the door before speaking out loud, “Where’d he go?”
“Maybe he’s in the back or something. Let’s just stay here and wait. Then we can keep going. We’re almost halfway to the coast.” Katie said stepping back looking around for any sight of the mechanic, Bo he had said his name was. Then she heard what she thought was a footstep behind her. “Did you hear th…” before she could finish her question a rag was held up to her face and a hand wrapped around her waist from behind. The rag smelled funny and her eyes grew heavy before she went limp in the arms holding her.
“Hear what?” Caroline was about to turn around to face Katie when hands grabbed her from behind clapping a rag over her face too. She tried to scream but nothing escaped as she too grew tired before everything went black.

💘🕯️💌
💘Is there any posted fic you want to rework/re-edit/re-write?
Absolutely everything that's older than 2 or 3 years?
But more seriously, IDK maybe 2 Times a Story Trope Slipped Through Emma's Fingers (+1 Time Regina Made Sure It Didn't). I think it was my first attempt at 5+1 things fic but I kinda lost steam midway through so it became 2+1 things. I've always kinda regretted not adding more shenanigans.
I guess I would like to remake this fic and add 3 more tropes (and fix the ending, I've never been particularly happy with the ending).
Most of my other regrets deal with the perpetuity of my WIPs.
🕯️was there a fic that was really hard on you to write, or took you to a place you didn't think it would take you?
This might be predictable but that's definitely She's Come Undone and Set Free.
It's been hard to write a on multiple fronts. First of all of course is the subject matter itself, shining the light on Elena and Caroline's trauma and trying to get the story to a place where they might start to heal was hard. And it hurt.
On the practical front it's also the hardest thing I've been writing because it's also the longest thing I've ever written.
And while writing it I was constantly surprised by where it lead me. Every time I sat down to write I knew stuff like "here Elena and Caroline have a heart to heart" or "here they're gonna tease Bonnie about Rebekah" but I never knew HOW those scenes would go or where the real meat of the scene would come in. And after I finished them I always had this feeling like... 'that scene would have gone an entirely different way if I had tried writing it last month'.
💌share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!
Okay. So I've still got no idea when I'll finish with it but I'm still really excited about doing the wrapup epilogue bits of She's Come Undone and Set Free.
Especially, the stuff I have planned Bonnie and Rebekah. (it's not ready for viewing but let's just say that I HATED how dirty they did Bonnie with that whole 'secretly dead for months' thing. So I'm going to see how things might have gone different with an Original in Bonnie's corner).
Other than that. Here's a sneak peek into the beginning of the epilogue (please be aware that it might change before posting though. And hasn't currently been combed for grammar mistakes).
Elijah was putting away the freshly dry cleaned suit he'd changed out of before returning to New Orleans - his mind judiciously on anything other than the woman whose fingers had wrinkled the fabric as she grasped the collar at the back of his neck - when his brother found him.
"I heard a strange little rumor." Klaus’s voice was full of thinly veiled curiosity.
"Did you?" he asked carelessly, not quite paying attention. "How fascinating."
"Whatever did Damon Salvatore do to piss you off, Elijah?"
Elijah’s movements halted momentarily as the muscles in his back seemed to pull into stone. He'd known of course that it was simply a matter of time before Niklaus was informed of the bounty he had placed on the whereabouts of the older Salvatore brother. He had simply hoped it would have taken longer than a day.
He exhaled silently under his breath, the only sign of irritation Elijah was willing to telegraph before answering. "He harmed someone I care a great deal about."
"And who might that be?" Niklaus asked.
Elijah chose not to answer.

morse being queer (and other commentary) pt 15:
season 4, episode 3, “Lazaretto”:
- my expectations are really low for this episode
- the last episode was so aggressively gay i’m just assuming this one won’t be
- unfortunate but here we are!
- ew i hate hospitals
- i love old nurse uniforms though
- elite fashion tbh
- morse in a wife beater agenda ‼️
- of fucking course joan called him from a goddam pay phone
- i’m IRRITATED 🗣️
- my tv is glitching the fuck out
- fixed it!
- anyways
- the head nurse reminds me of the sister in fleabag and i always think it’s her but it’s not
- and that’s my story
- morse uses the same body language with debryn that he uses with women he’s attracted to
- i’m just saying 🤷‍♀️
- the way everyone looks at the parrot is so fucking funny
- we are barely ten minutes into this episode and we’re already headed to the armory
- NO BRIGHT NO
- anyone but bright.
- you can kill ANY CHARACTER
- bright killed a tiger tho i’m pretty sure he’s immortal at this point
- no because listen
- debryn is perfect for morse
- IM SERIOUS
- he comes to the hospital immediately out of loyalty to the precinct and also because he knows morse is there alone
- he immediately tells morse who is in the operating room and that the surgeon is talented and morse doesn’t have to worry
- and then promises to go see what’s what for morse so he doesn’t have to wear himself out
- and THEN he brings morse’s mind back to the case hes working on because he knows morse copes by working and wants to take his mind off bright
- debryn knows all the ins and outs of morse’s brain and respects every facet of him and works in favor of him every time without fail
- hes fucking perfect
- i love him
- everyone loves bright so much i’m sick
- the head nurse reminds me of the evil lady from chicken run
- i hate this lady caroline
- she didn’t really do anything wrong in this moment with morse but like
- you are the mother of the woman who broke morse as a human being and forever scarred his perception of love
- and then ur gonna brag about what her new man is doing? just to rub it in that he “wasn’t good enough” for her and still isn’t?
- despicable.
- i don’t even wanna promote the queer aspects of that even tho it would be easy to
- because that was just fucking cruel
- and morse deserved better
- it cannot be comfortable for bakewell to have his arm cuffed up like that for that long
- they should do it lower for sure
- justice for winnie ‼️‼️‼️
- i love her i just want her to be happy
- trewlove is so worried about bright
- bright and trewlove 🤞🤞 i love them
- “We were engaged to be married. And then we weren’t.”
- THIS is why morse is the most relateable fictional character ever to me personally
- because he SIMPLIFIES this sort of stuff
- he could tell the whole story
- say what transpired and why she left and what he did wrong or didn’t do wrong and who she’s with now and why he became a cop instead of pushing himself and being happy
- but he says this.
- we were and then we weren’t.
- because all human experience can be taken as that.
- we are and then we aren’t
- and it’s all very simple
- and despite all the pain he feels and all the ways it’s affected his life
- he knows it’s as simple as that
- THIS FUCKING SHOW RAHHHSHEKFOSK 🦅🦅🦅
- the way that nurse mills keeps side eyeing morse
- girl calm down
- the way morse runs 💀
- go morse go! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
- thursday should not have left bakewell and i stand by that
- even though nothing happens someone should have stayed with him to keep him safe
- but noooo 🙄🙄🙄 thursday has to care about morse and make sure he’s okay
- morse just visiting debryn for fun at this point
- monica 🥺🥺
- JESUS THURSDAY
- slamming his head against the brick wall is so wild
- unnecessary some might say!
- perhaps even… police brutality!
- which you’ve been suspended for!!
- every time i start to like him 🙄🙄
- oh my GOD monica is so beautiful
- “treat the next one better.”
- GET HIM MONICA
- both of them avoiding the question “are you happy?”
- final straw
- the way thursday just hates having brights job
- it’s so funny
- thursday loves winnie so much i’m SICK
- i’ll prolly never get married but if i do i want it to be like them
- the way this show handles mental health issues is like
- actually not that bad
- like 8/10 times they do a really good job
- especially given the time period
- he’s a murderer and all but bakewell is funny as fuck
- “i get the uncontrollable urge to murder nosy parkers 😡. ta for the grapes 🥰🥰!”
- like ok??!
- funny as fuck
- that picture of joan is absolutely foul
- just throwing it out there
- “i had a reverse charges call from leamington.” “wasnt me.”
- i hate her right now
- i know i said i loved her like two posts ago but i fucking hate her
- like she’s intentionally hurting these people and doesn’t care
- like how does she just not care how much what she’s doing is affecting the people in her life?
- i know she’s traumatized
- but ONE phone call to ur parents wouldn’t kill you 🙄
- i have 0 understanding of how she’s blaming herself for the death at the bank
- they didn’t know who she was until he was already dead
- like girl get it together
- “i don’t care.” “i do.” “you shouldn’t.”
- GIRL SHUT UP ‼️‼️
- pissing me tf off
- anyways 😐
- bright is so 🥺🥺
- just a little guy tbh
- GIVE BRIGHT CHILDREN🗣️🗣️🗣️ (he’s like 80 years old do not give him kids)
- what is this trend of bringing grapes to people in the hospital? is that something i should be aware of?
- goddam morse’s ex is RICH
- the way that people don’t like dr. powell because they think he’s a ladies man but he literally just wants to be a doctor 😭
- let my man breathe!
- the way susan was sick TWO YEARS AGO and morse looks worried like it’s happening right now
- “have you spoken to susan?” “yes. i haven’t mentioned you.”
- girl shut your bitchass up
- sick and tired of your classist bullshit
- this guy talking to corpses is so 🤨🤨
- NO BAKEWELL‼️
- what the fuck.
- how on earth is dr. powell working from 7:30 in the morning until after 3 in the morning the next day
- how does he function
- stop 🥺 the way morse turns his back before strange opens the trunk and then just peeks over his shoulder to look
- he’s a fucking pussy 😐
- KIDDING
- i’m obsessed w him and i truly believe his inability to look at the deceased is his most endearing quality
- thursday cares about morse sm i’m SICK
- NAUR THEYRE PUTTING BRIGHT IN BED TEN
- morse talking to the parrot is funny as fuck tbh
- morse is obsessed w debryn
- how the fuck did debryn notice a microscopic wound on someone’s ass
- he’d have to be STUDYING that ass
- wild!
- anywho
- i love the way morse talks to debryn and debryn talks to morse
- just two geniuses bouncing off each other 🥰🥰
- trewlove OUT OF UNIFORM coming to visit bright is so sweet
- it’s like he has a daughter
- i’m obsessed ✋🙄
- okay i was wrong. powell is a terrible person!
- the nurses are dramatic asf tbh
- i cannot imagine real nurses behaving this way
- oh my god susan’s dad died
- this could be my breaking point!
- i also would love to point out the fact that morse insists on formalities in most if not all situations, meaning he refers to people as “Ms./Mrs./Mr. ____”
- but he calls susan’s mom “Caroline”
- just her first name and nothing else
- like he and susan were engaged to be married
- like he really loved her and she maybe really loved him
- like at some point her parents loved morse and took him in
- like they treated him like family
- like they were excited for him to marry their daughter and therefore let him call them by their first names
- like they were close
- like a family
- everything about what happened between him and susan HURTS and idk how to handle it
- also i FUCKING HATE CAROLINE
- “I’m so sorry.” “Are you?” “Yes, of course. Edgar was always very decent to me.” “Well, he always had a weakness for failures.”
- like YOUR DAUGHTER LEFT MORSE
- not the other way around
- i fucking hate classism
- there’s a whole other analysis i could do of this whole situation that would be about his queerness and how it could play into all this but i’m like
- i fucking hate caroline
- she sucks so bad
- like the way she tells him the CHIEF CONSTABLE RUPERT STANDISH said he would never amount to much
- which already is bullshit because of his involvement with landesman and wintergreen, meaning that he was involved with the group who intentionally sabotaged morse and are still attempting to now (he died in the neverland episode so it’s not him directly anymore but still)
- and then says “You didn’t even pass your sergeants exam!”
- which is bullshit because she doesn’t know what happened and he can’t defend himself because it’ll make it sound like he’s making excuses for what she’s interpreting as failures
- “You see, I was right about you, even then.” “When you speak to Susan please give her my condolences.” “And your love.” “No. No. Look, whatever you may think of me, I am truly sorry he’s dead.”
- the DISGUST on his face when she says “and your love”
- i fucking hate her
- and morse deserved better
- it’s obvious that what happened is still tearing him up even now
- and that’s why he’s so sensitive about people leaving him (jakes, joan)
- and why he will always assume people he’s in love with or carries any love for are going to leave
- i fucking hate this show ‼️‼️
- two female murderer episodes in a row i am running my hands together like a little mouse
- this girl is wild for killing that many people tbh
- morse hugging her instead of dragging her away ☹️
- he’s so gentle i HATE IT HERE
- thank fuck bright lived
- idk how i would have reacted if something happened tbh
- i cannot believe the only shot we get of susan is from the back 😐
- okay for you tarot kids!
- intersecting the tower card with the death card usually has a lot of negative meanings. it represents suffering, typically by means of illness or pain of some kind
- the death card is a typically pretty happy card despite the connotation, but when combined with the tower card it’s p shit
- the tower card usually represents suffering or destruction
- combing the two cards doesn’t bode well for morse and it’s our first intersection in the reading we’re getting at the end of these episodes!
- so far we have sacrifice, union, and now a traumatizing ending of something resulting in suffering
- things are not boding well for our boy!

Major Persona 3 rant below:
I'm such a HUGE persona fan. And the thing is, Persona 5 has the best game mechanics, UI, and polish cuz it's the newest 1. But Persona 3 has always had the best story and characters BY FAR. The only thing working against it was the mechanics were outdated and unnecessarily difficult at times so plenty of people never gave it a try. So a persona 3 with an updated UI? I would kill for that. My wish has come true and I'm literally vibrating with excitement cuz of my adhd
Persona 3 Reload has the chance to become the best persona game ever made. And I'm fucking LOSING IT
I HIGHLY recommend Persona 3 Reload when it comes out next year. I know I have high expectations and could end up severely disappointed. But I feel like it's gonna be hard to mess it up? Like, yeah they have to update a lot of the stuff so I'm not too picky about certain mechanics. Just so long as the characters and story are faithful to the original, then I will be happy. Bare minimum: keep the story and characters the same and it will be an excellent game. Best possible option: they combine the better writing and FEMC from the psp rerelease with the epilogue they added into the FES rerelease to great the best version of the game
Persona 3 had 2 rereleases with addition content. First they had the version called FES which added in content called The Answer, which was a 60+ hour playable epilogue. Then they did a different version called Portable with the additional content being called FEMC, which involved a lot of rewriting of scenes in the base game. People have been debating which of those 2 versions is superior. FEMC or The Answer. I was always firmly in the opinion of the The Answer being better. Until recently when someone I follow on Tumblr made a very compelling argument for why FEMC is better. So I've been a little conflicted over which is my favorite. So the remake could just be the original base game, or they could add either or both of the extra content. Whichever way it goes will still be good. But I'm praying for them to add both The Answer and FEMC to make the ultimate best version of the game.
OH OOOOOOOHHHH
OOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOD
I JUST REALIZED
THEY COULD FUCKING
THEY HAVE THE OPTION
I don't know how to describe it. But they could finally FINALLY finish Elizabeth's storyline!!!!!!!!! I've spent the last 15 YEARS WAITING FOR ELIZABETH!!!!!
SO LIKE. OK. All the persona games r linked together. They r all canon but the characters from different games never interact or learn about the events of previous games so each one is very standalone. But there r call backs and references to previous games. The Velvet Room and it's master Igor r in every game. He never talks about the previous games but he is always there and very important. He also always has an assistant helping him. His assistant changes in every game. Elizabeth in P3, Theo in P3FES, Margaret in P4, Marie in P4Golden, twins Caroline and Justine in P5. P1 and P2 had unnamed and unimportant assistants. The assistants also reference each other cuz they r all family. So starting in P4, u meet Margaret and she mentions in passing about how she is taking over for her sister who went missing. Elizabeth went missing???? What is this new plotline???? Then Atlus made several spin-off games that were slight sequels to the base games. Like, Persona 4 Arena was a fighting-style spin-off that shows us what the characters r up to after the events of P4. Well, Elizabeth from P3 showed up as a playable character in Arena. And we learned about why she went missing. She has left on a quest of her own. To fix something that happened in P3. And her storyline in that game ends with this implication that what she is trying to achieve MIGHT be possible. That there is an end destination for this quest of hers. So when Persona 5 was first announced, lots of fans were excited and speculating on what the new developments would be in Elizabeth's story. Will she achieve her dream? Will she discover something that makes her goal completely impossible and tragic? We don't know.
No new games have mentioned Elizabeth's plotline AT ALL. Not fucking P5 or P5Royal or Dancing Star/Moon, or PQ or PQ2 or P5Stikers. NOTHING. FUCKING NO UPDATES AT ALL. Let me tell u, the fandom, and me in particular, is really pissed off about it. I NEED to know if she succeeds. So yeah. It just occurred to me that they could use the remake as a way to add an epilogue that finally FINALLY FINALLY addresses Elizabeth's quest. I'm all hyped up again. I calmed down for a bit but now I'm excited ALL OVER AGAIN. I will be SOOOOOO disappointed if they don't fucking mention it AT ALL
Ok. Fuck. Now that I really think about it. Her whole quest is about her trying to change something that happened at the end of the game. So I don't want to spoil it and am trying to be as vague as possible. There is a new direction they could take this game. And that is Time travel. Like, Elizabeth going back to the beginning and this whole remake could be the new timeline she is establishing so she could change the 1 thing. So most stuff would be the same but a major story plot point would be different. And it's not that wild of a theory either cuz Persona 2 established Time travel as a Thing. The whole plot of P2 revolved around time travel so it's completely possible. And now I'm really conflicted. Cuz I would love this to be an update on Elizabeth. But I would also like this to be a faithful retelling of the same story. Idk which way it's gonna go now
Tl:dr
Persona 3 Reload could go in so many directions. It could contain, in any combination, the base game, The Answer from FES, FEMC from Portable, and Elizabeth's post canon storyline. And I don't know which version I would be most excited for
Also I guess they announced a new Persona 5 game. But like, who cares

beholden outlines and notes
i got a review on beholden yesterday who pointed out its been, yknow, well over a year since i updated the fic. obviously those of you following me here know ive been writing other stuff, and so it shouldn't come as a surprise that im not rlly planning to go back to working on it
why? other than getting into another fandom, i honestly just wasnt really happy w how the fic was turning out. i loved s1, but s2 i just wasnt liking as much. and as much as i was excited for how s2 (and the fic in general) would have ended, i just couldnt get myself to keep working and Get there. besides that, i started beholden on quarantine, and when class/work started up, i simply didnt have the time to write so much. beholden was already 70k. to finish would have probs doubled the length, and that's not time i could dedicate
as such, ive decided to post my outlines/notes for what the rest of beholden Would have been if id ever gotten to finishing it. this is, i guess, my final sendoff for beholden. here's every doc / outline i had guiding my writing of this fic
ill say in advance this fic was a mix of plotting and pantsing, so not everything in the outline is completely fleshed out. but the main beats are there, esp in scenes i was more confident about
...these also weren't meant to be viewed by anyone but me, so they might be sort of confusing/under-explained. il add a bit of commentary/context when i can
first, here's my detail on how the rest of season two would have gone:
NOV 3: Jordan Kennedy statement
toll his Knowing and rereading old statements
talk about Peter! self-isolation as a way to
1. Ready himself and his friends for his death, by not being too deeply attached,
2. Keep peter and elias’s attention on him rather than his assistants,
3. Get peter to agree to yeet any threats into the Lonely, to keep his marks low
Dust to Dust. michael shelley is there. implies jon might have known abt the tapes all along and they could very well be the secret??
does this implicate michael in gertrude’s murder
Tim and Martin have an argument at flat while the three of them are listening to tapes.
Jon has been guiding, but Tim worries he may be guiding Away from the truth (paranoid)
Martin worries Tim is so focused on finding Jon’s secret he’s getting distant from Jon.
They’ve been listening to tapes at Martin and Tim’s whenever possible.
martin’s tired of it! hes doing work at home basically, and tim’s kind of erratic now that hes got the idea in his head jon might be a monster. it worries martin too but he knows that even w the shit jon pulls he IS their friend
sasha’s gonna have. Thoughts abt the Michael thing as well, given Michael and Jon clearly have some kind of shared past / understanding
something something… Michael talks about a shared past, Jon about reverting the Change… they both worked with Gertrude…… Gertrude and Jon reverting “the Change”??
but what the fuck is the Change? what “changed”??? why did they need to undo it? why do only they remember it? do they need to prevent it from “changing” again?
could she talk to Michael?
WHERE DID THIS PLOT COME FROM
Group intervention,
Martin trying to make them stop being so suspicious of each other. Gearing up for the “if we were all happy would that be so bad” bit
DEC 1: Daisy drops by in place of Basira to give a statement / talk to tim. Jon half avoids this one bc 1, not feeding on a friend, 2, daisy will Kill him if hes noticeably not human (esp since she figured it out thru him changing in her dreams last time)
asks Tim about the nathaniel thorp statement. she wants to see it.
looked back into the guy. he wasn’t named nathaniel thorp, but its been a long time. she’s not about to rule out a fake name
JAN 7: Tessa Winters
WHAT HAPPENED IN CANON:
tim and jon argue
martin tells jon to fix shit w tim
not them encounter in the tunnels
talk to elias
JAN 25: Caroline Gorka
Jon takes this one. hungry
jons on his isolation arc
FEB 11: Maxwell Rainer raid
Feb13: Melanie statement 2
Tim bumps into in the library while researching and asks her abt what she’s been researching. she talks abt the notThem, and the table, and the statements Jon has given her copies of. Tim frowns and tell her that they know where the table is, it’s here, why would Jon lie about that… unless…? they decide fuck the library and fuck work and just leave
they do some research into jon’s past. Tim, Melanie, and Georgie go thru Georgie’s old pictures, but she doesnt have any (messy breakup… she got rid of most of it). talk abt the sudden personality change, etc.
Tim decides that he must have changed. they talk abt how there’s usually someone who can see the difference, and Tim decides that since it isn’t any of them, it must be someone else in the institute. he asks around about what people think Jonathan Sims looks like, and “rosie” pauses before describing a complete stranger. tall, close-cropped hair, broad shoulders. and then this strange short man came in and she assumed they must have fired Sims, since he really wasn’t qualified, and hired some other Jon…
and that’s it. that must be. jon’s dead and this thing replaced him.
Feb 16: axe to table
Tim calls Daisy, since she has experience killing these things. Melanie and Georgie decide to help—Melanie bc she was researching them, and Georgie bc that was her friend. Basira tags along too. Tim tells Martin and Sasha that they should come w him (without explaining), and to not tell Jon. rosie is more than happy to let them thru to artifact storage.
they all go, Tim explains that Jon is NOT Jon, and he’s going to prove it. then he turns around and puts an axe through the table
Jon shows up and is like. rosie wouldn’t let me in please tell me you didnt break the table. and Tim is like its too late, you bastard Jon-killer!
chaos.
dunno how this bit goes BUT
shouting match in which they both talk abt rosie, and Martin realizes that rosie has been replaced
daisy attacks Jon and he panics, sending her to the Lonely as per the deal w Lukas. thats a problem! but also this fic equivalent of the buried
notRosie attacks, and the rest of them escape. idk how. Jon gets them to the tunnels probably? barricades them in the archvies? they deal w notRosie somehow.
Jon has to come clean! its time t explain everything!
this might be a separate chapter. end on a cliffhanger and then in the new chapter Jon must explain….
new exposition dump chapter! here’s everything Jon has to explain (or not explain)
he is a time traveller, sort of, having sent his own memories back in time
he knew all of them (and daisy). all of them died. the world ended. he’s here to prevent it
probably toes the line between “it was my fault” and “im on your side.” yes he caused their deaths. no he doesnt want to cause them again. everything he’s done has been to stop those deaths from happening again.
explains he had to hide it because of Elias. probably explains how serious he is about this by explaining how he blinded himself to keep things from Elias and the Eye
…which leads him to explain shit like the Eye, the entities, the rituals, etc.
which is a great lead-in to the Unknowing!
stresses repeatedly that he’s being honest, he’s telling them a lot and he’s willing to admit everything, but keeps two things to himself: he and Martin dated, and he’s going to kill himself in the Unknowing
...and that would have been s2! i was really excited for the not-Jon thing, but never got to it.
anyway. i also had these two notes at the end of the doc as things to consider in my writing of jon's interactions with Sasha and Tim
“sasha is jon’s favorite, theyre probably comfortable with each other”
“jon’s got stronger memories / more memories of tim hating him than tim being his friend, thats gotta be weird for how he feels about tim”
speaking of Tim, i ALSO have a doc specifically for guiding tim's arc. sasha's arc was mostly me rolling with the punches and working with what i thought she might be able to figure out, but Tim i had the beats planned more directly
TIM PLOT OUTLINE
peter lukas props Isn't human, jon Is helping him
jon is doing other shady shit, helping michael (also not human)
jon is very pointedly guiding them towards the unknowing but not saying what he knows or why
research avatars and learn ppl can lose their humanity / become monsters.
combine melanie's info on ppl replaced, like the notThem
horrible conclusion: on either was human and isn't anymore, or really isn't jon. were they ever even friends with jon?
(worth noting: if Jon truly was replaced when his personality changed, then all their moments of being genuinely close came after that. the person he is close friends with is not Jon. its the thing that killed Jon. the realization he “never actually got to befriend Jon at all” is going to do weird things to his heart, im sure)
(remember the table? tim can compare notes having seen it w melanie, who has been looking into the notThem) (statement info plus it now being revealed
jon is hiding shit from melanie as well) maybe have georgie in here looking for polaroid images or tape recordings of jon from college, which she can't find. no way to confirm he is who he's supposed to be
basira and daisy.…... basira can tell tim and sasha she's sectioned and that daisy believes Jon isn't human
AS FOR THE REST OF THE FIC...
when i started writing beholden, i plotted out the entire fic. i did s1 in detail, and s2 and three in... not a lot of detail. when i started s2, i made a new doc and more detailed outline, which is what i showed above. as i never got to s3, the s3 outline is... not super in-depth. had i made it to s3, i would have fleshed it out more, but alas. anyway, here's what i had:
Everyone knows MOSTLY whats up.
There needs to be trust building! rights for jonmartin?
Jon plans to kill Elias after the Unknowing. Hes barely human, his friends are okay, and if they destroy the institute after his death, there shouldnt be any danger. In getting htem to trust him he accidentally forgets this means theyll be attached to him and wont Want him to die
elias now has to go on the offensive to get jon marked. Entities jon needs to be marked by still: buried, dark, desolation, end, flesh, hunt, lonely, slaughter, stranger, vast
At some point in this season, they have to find out what Jon’s real plan is
FEB 17: starts. Does anything need to go here? Jon isnt on the lam. I guess re-bonding. Since most of them thought he was guilty of murder. Less “heres the past i remember” and more direct talk on his actual plan (but vague on how he plans to do the actual killing). can explain that hes not any more human than elias is. Also that they cant just Kill Elias or else it will kill all of them, but jon has a plan (that he cant tell the others, bc elias can read minds! Thats def why he cant tell them the plan)
APRIL 24: jude perry. If Jon wont go to her, Elias probably needs to bring her to Jon… oof. I think Tim is gonna get hurt by the desolation.
Im putting the confrontation w elias here. Elias probably Knows what Jon is planning (or at least that hes planning to kill Jon, but not how) and Jon demands to know why the others are hurt. Learns Elias doesn need jon alive or to be The Archivist, it can be anyone, and elias isnt afraid to get a second one if he has to
APRIL 28: mike crew
...probably Simon this time, since Elias i think could get him to visit the MI anyway
Also I want to vaporize simon fairchild
Which i guess means jon avatar moments, which i want/need anyway
Unknown date: jon gets kidnapped by the stranger. Helen kills Michael simply bc i like Helen more. i will find real justification for this by the time i get here, probably
Coming back from being kidnapped is rough for jon bc he hasnt Known in a while or relied on his powers too much but, uh, hes starving
Assistants helping jon manage his inhumanity, which is uh… a tense issue, im sure. But theyre more sympathetic bc they like him more and also he did give up his humanity for them. having several anchors will make it all easier to manage
JUNE 29: is in the USA, is kidnapped by Trevor and Julia. Probably gets a Hunt injury here, since hes clearly not human,
I think the fact jon had to leave the country to do this alone for some reason right now while theyre preparing for the unknowing stuff raises questions. Why cant this wait until after elias is dead??
before the unknowing, Jon records a tape explaining that killing the archivist means everyone else will be freed from the institute, to be listened to after he kills himself in the unknowing. He lists elias’s weakness of being in the panopticon, mentions leitner in the tunnels may be able to lead them. its a goodbye tape, saying sorry for lying about this last thing, and this is sort of his penance for killing them and the world. he can die instead this time, satisfied with saving the rest of them and confident they can finish out the rest of saving the world now that hes helped them survive and given them the tools to take down Elias. fic equivalent of testament, i guess?
AUG 6: plant explosives at the wax museum. They dont actually have to detonate during the unknowing, since the ritual would fail anyway, so? They can probs just blow it up right before while the circus is in the building getting ready, without getting Strange
I think same crew as canon go. Since theyre not waiting for the actual event or anything and are going beforehand, these were the ppl who knew how to set up the bomb and all
Jon plans to tell them he’s on the other side of the building, watching for anything that might come out and escape to kill it. He’ll text tim when hes there and tell tim to detonate. (
Jon actually plans to go inside, sit down w a bomb, and tell tim to detonate w him inside. So he’ll die and they’ll be free to kill elias
(he still wants to give Tim the option to get revenge on the circus, and sort of Still feels like. yknow, if Tim detonated it on him once, it'll be fine to do it again)
(will be fun to have Tim and Jon talk afterwards abt how Tim feels about Jon planning to use Tim to kill himself)
Sasha listens to the tape Jon left, figures out its jon’s suicide note, and calls tim immediately to stop him from detonating. She doesnt listen to the whole thing, just like. enough to hear the tone of jon's voice and Realize. Tim and Basira go in to stop/help Jon
and thats season 3! as i said, not particularly fleshed out. it def needed a lot of work, and besides, i wanted to flesh it out more when i had written more of s1 and s2, since i think its easier to do once you know what's actually on your page. but. didnt happen, clearly.
...you might be looking at these bullets and thinking "wait, wasnt there a bullet point about sending daisy into the lonely at the end of s2? where did that plot go?" and the answer is: it didnt exist when i started plotting the fic, but it was added later. i hadn't yet fleshed it out fully, but it would have worked similarly to pulling daisy out of the buried. i hadn't yet decided when to pull her out or whether the person o do so would be Jon or Basira. Jon would have gone and had a similar moment as the coffin where they bonded over losing their humanity, while Basira it would have been similar to the s5 plot line in which Basira had to take a long hard look at the stuff she allowed daisy to pull (since, yknow, you need to See someone to find them in the Lonely). i hadn't got far enough to figure out the details, tho, but figuring out what to do with daisy was something i found... particularly tricky, considering her character
ANYWAY. in addition to all this, i had, uh, a whopping THREE bullet points for "season four," which was basically rolled into arc three
They need a new plan to kill elias and i have no fucking idea what that plan is
Nvm. gertrude was gonna blow up the institute so thats what jon will do. Hes strong enough to survive and everyone else will be able to w the institute gone
...burn employment contracts? So they dont all die?
...that was all.
another thing i had decided (but not written down) while working on s2, however, that i didnt want to do "season four" and that i wanted to end at the unknowing. my plan was that id figure out what to do when i got closer to the end and had more information on what had transpired in fic. i think my vague plan was essentially "once they find out Jon was going to sacrifice himself they make him Not and do some shit to take the Institute down in that moment, based in the idea of destroying the institute."
one thing i wanted to do what play around with the fact the eye canonically favors Jon over Elias/Jonag and the fact that the lives of the assistants are tied to Jon, and see about burning the institute to weaken jonah further. if Jon was more powerful/favored, perhaps he could supercede jonah's power and thus, when jonah died, the lives of the institute employees could be tied to Jon instead? or something? i wasnt sure, esp w Jon being less favorable/weaker in this fic than canon.
the ending bit i was excited for was the unknowing, and everything that came after was just sort of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
.....well! that's everything, i think! not all the way polished, but these were the ideas i had for how beholden would have gone. i also had two scenes half-written for the next chapter, and a random scene of flashbacks written on how the original cast died (written before daisy died in canon). i might post that as well, like, later
if you've read this far, thanks for still being interested in beholden! i cant express enough how grateful i am for all the support i received on this fic, including the fact that im receiving comments on it even now. it was a lot of fun to work on, even if i dont plan on finishing it. i hope seeing my notes, however patchy, helps you get a bit of closure on how this fic would have gone!
and, finally, if you'll allow me to be a bit silly: i love you, Beholden. sorry for never getting around to wrapping you up, but im so proud of you and grateful to you for existing. youre the most writing ive ever done in a single piece, and im thrilled to have you to show for how much i can get done if i really put my mind to it

"Caroline Tea! Explain yourself, now. Why were you out with your sister for five hours? When I remember so graciously telling you that her curfew was nightfall! Do you think this is a game, wildcat? Do you think that I can not throw you in the very same jail cell that I threw you in before? Harboring a fugitive, violating curfew," She paused. "Perjury! These are just but a few of the crimes you have committed tonight, and I can and will put a warrant out for your arrest if you do not have a good enough reason as to why you have been directly taking advantage of my leniency!"
The wildcat stood, blinking, her hands raised into the sky. The standing regent had her ice staff pointed directly in her face, seemingly stood in front of a chair made of... ice? Is that what she does in her free time, make ice stuff? Wasn't important--she just wanted to go get some food for her and Cory. Not deal with her, not right now.
Why was she waiting for her??? There was a small puddle of water on the floor beneath the chair--how long had she been here for?
"Okay, listen, Scary Lady, I'm kinda in a rush right now. A lot happened tonight, like, a lot a lot. So if you could just lemme go in my room real quick--"
"I demand an answer, wildcat! Or do you wish for me to add onto your crimes?"
"You're not gonna like it--"
"Caroline!"
"Fine!!! Fine. I'm still kinda in a rush though," she looks behind herself, her mind wandering to Cory. "I'll give you a TL;DR, how about that?"
"A what?"
"Too long; didn't read! A summary, basically."
Scary Lady stared at her... and stared at her. And still stared at her. Carol couldn't really be sure what she was thinking about, but it must've been some real heavy stuff--she's never seen Neera so, contemplative.
Her arms started to shake. "Eugh, could ya put the spear down? My arms are getting tired," she whined.
Her panda friend pushed air out of her nose, reeling back her staff as she sat in her chair. "I am listening, wildcat. Be lucky that I trust you." It looked like the chair reformed some of it's shape as soon as she sat.
The scarfed cat put down her arms, breathing a sigh of relief. "Thank you! That got old real fast.
"Basically," she took in a deep breath, "my sister came here to fix a hole but after she fixed the hole my weird gemerald thing teleported us to shang mu," She pulled out said gemerald, it's glow pulsating slightly brighter than usual, "after that i proposed to my boyfriend-now-fiance and we tried to come back before night but i fell asleep so we came back as soon as i woke up and--"
She slammed the bottom of her staff on the floor, the puddle freezing over just a little bit, "If you think that I will believe in such rhetoric."
"No it's all true! I promise!" The gemerald started to get even brighter.
"There is no such technology that could teleport you hundreds of miles away over to Shang Mu in an instant, like you imply. There are roads upon roads between the two kingdoms that would make such an expedition take at minimum, an hour. I know as much, because I have taken the trip to Shang Mu and back plenty of times. Including with you. Do not try to fool me with such blatant lies."
"Can't you just trust me on this, Neera?" She was whining, "I'd show you, but this thing doesn't like to listen to me!" She shook the gemerald up and down, the glow starting to almost entirely cover her hand, "It's the reason why I'm in this mess in the first place!
"Then it's a mess you'll have to clean up in jail!"
An ice lasso was fired her way, the wildcat bracing for impact. Stones, if she could just do something simple like teleport to her room it'd just prove everything! She didn't wanna go back to jail again! Not after tonight!!!
Why can't she just trust her this one time!!!!
The green glow formed into a blinding light, shining through the entire hallway and covering the wildcat in her entirety. It caused the frost knight to cover her eyes, a yell escaping her lips as--
Blip.
The wildcat, thankfully, landed on her bed. The same could not be said for Scary Lady, however, who was sprawled out on her floor, dazed. Carol blinked, twice, standing from her bed and picking up the gemerald from the floor. She stared at it, glared at it, for a moment, before giving a sigh of relief. She smiled wide and pumped her arm, looking down at the ice panda on her floor.
Hm. She probably wouldn't have long until she got up.
Better act fast.
The wildcat dashed around her room, grabbing as much of the food she and Gong bought earlier as she could--it was mostly Gong. Having friends in high places was convenient as hell.
Lotta chips, lotta slightly-cold chicken, lotta pizza. LOTTA pizza. Cory probably has an oven at her temp house, right?
Holding everything in her hands, she looked back down at the Scary Lady.
She gave her a light kick. "You good?"
And in a second, Scary Lady stood, spear in hand. "What, how--where am I? What did you do, Carol?" Pause, stared at the food in her hands, "Where did you get all of this?"
She puts a hand on her chest, the food she has wobbling as she does so, "I didn't do anything. My dumb little gem did that." She then held the gemerald up close to Neera, it's pulsating glow far dimmer than it was just a moment ago.
"What?" The frost knight attempted to swipe it out of her hand.
Alas, Carol was so much more faster than her, it wasn't even funny. She pocketed the gemerald again, giving a cheeky grin, "Everything I said was real! That was proof enough! Anyway gotta go BYE NEERA!" Ran the fuck out the door as fast as she could.
The panda stood there, dumbfounded. She looked around the wildcat's room, staring at all of the cans of wall mud and various random tools and random brand name foods littered around the place. It wasn't a mess, no--she couldn't fine her for that. But it was just.
Bizzare. All of this was.
She wasn't lying? So, wait... does that mean...
---
She had since put the food in a bag, handing it over to Cory.
"Huh? Carol, what is this?"
"Stuff," she hopped on her bike, starting to rev it's engines.
She heard a bag rustling, "Woah, are these Cracker Jacks? I loved these things when I was a kid--"
"SHE HAS A FIANCE?!?!"
Both wildcats blinked. "Uhhh, sis, was that the Regent?"
"LEAVING WE ARE LEAVING CORY."

Don't Leave Me - Part 2 <> Damon Salvatore
Tumblr media
Part 1
* * *
Damon’s POV
We would keep her in the Salvatore Crypt. Bonnie would put a spell on it so it could never be entered, never to be disturbed. And that’s all I wanted. But, I would always stop by and visit her, talk to her, tell her how much I love her and hope for all I have that she could hear me.
Today was her funeral. Only her closest friends would be there.
Caroline, Bonnie and Elena fixed her up, dressed her in a black dress, added some little details, did her hair. I honestly have no idea about any of that stuff, but she looked beautiful either way.
Everyone was here: Stefan, Elena, Bonnie, Enzo, Caroline, Matt, Alaric, they were all here. And then there was me.
All of us here to celebrate the life of Y/Full/N, the one that has kept us all together, kept us all going for years. Ever since she came to Mystic Falls, it’s always been her that kept everyone and everything right, fixed the wrongs and made everything right.
And now she’s gone. Who knows how the lives of all of her friends and family are going to be now.
The top half of her casket was open. It was a fine furnished casket, decorated by Caroline with flowers. Y/N laid on a white bed inside, a pillow set under her head and her hands placed on her stomach.
Everyone was crying. I mean, how could they not? But I tried to stay strong, and it was all for her.
Stefan had gone up to say his goodbyes first. He smiled, but it was a sad smile with tears.
The rest of her friends went to say their goodbyes, and each and every one of them cried. They all left to mourn in their own ways.
I stood by Y/N, holding her hand. She wore the ring I gave her, the one to keep her safe. She never took it off. I set her hand back on her stomach. I closed her casket, never to be opened again.
All that was left was Bon Bon and I. She came in and stood next to me as we stared at her grave stone.
“Do you think it’s real?” I asked my second best friend.
“Peace? I think so. For everyone.” Bonnie answered.
“Well, everyone but me. I’ll always have her, but I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again.” I told her.
“Damon, of course you’ll see her again. Peace exists for everyone. Even you. If anyone is to reunite with Y/N, it’s you. You’ll see her again, and you two will have more peace with each other than anyone. You’ll see her again, Damon. Trust me.”
“Thanks, Bon Bon.” I said as she leaned her head on my shoulder as I held her hand to my chest. We stared at her grave stone for awhile. It read:
(Your Full Name)
Friend ~ Wife ~ Sister
Born: (Your Birthday)
Died: December 8, 2017
Rest in Peace
Yes, I was going to propose to her, but she was gone before I…
But I couldn’t take it anymore.
I went home and I was alone.
I filled a glass with bourbon and sat by the fire. I stared into it, imagining what it’s like for her.
She doesn’t deserve this. She needs to be here, with me. But, no. She’s gone.
Tears fell from my eyes as I stood up and threw my glass at the wall, glass and bourbon flying everywhere.
“Y/N!” I screamed. “Please, come back! I need you. I was never ready for you to go. I’m not strong enough to live without you. Why’d you leave me?” I screamed out, falling on my knees by the fire.
I sat there, sobbing, crying for the only one I have ever loved. She was the one I loved and will always love with all my life.
It’s a nightmare without her here.
“Y/N,” I cried under my breath.
Until I felt something on my shoulder and a voice calling my name.
“Damon,”
It was her. I’d know her voice anywhere.
I turned around and saw her.
“Y/N,” I couldn’t believe it.
“How’re you here?” I asked her.
“I came to see you. Apparently you can do that when you’re dead.” She laughed. She always made a way to laugh. I smiled.
“Y/N, I can’t do it. I can’t live without you.” I told her as she stared into my eyes, coming closer to me.
“That’s why you won’t live without me. I’ll always be here with you. Always remember that.” She admitted.
“But Y/N. I still need you. I want you to come home. I never wanted to let you go. You can’t let go. I just want to take you home.” I cried to her.
“I’m so sorry, Damon. I can’t. But I’ll always be here. Please, you have to live your life. I’ll always be here for you.” Y/N said.
“That’s the thing Y/N. I can’t. I can’t imagine a world with you gone. You always kept us together. Life’s gonna be hell here without you. I still want you. Just hold on. I still need you. I swear to God, Y/N, i’ll love you all my life. Just come home. Please, don’t leave me.” I begged her.
“Damon, please. I can’t and you know that. I’m so sorry. Just remember, I love you. Hold me in your heart and I will always be with you.” She came towards me, wrapping her arms around me.
“I love you, Damon, so much. I’m so sorry.” Y/N said.
“I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you. I love you so much, Y/N. Forever.” I told her.
And she was gone.
* * *
All can visit, only one can enter.
No one will touch her. I will protect her with my life. Anyone who ever dares to put her in danger will have to go through me.
She will be with me forever.

25 Days of Christmas Special!
Tumblr media
Oh my god. He’s so pretty. I need help. My mom literally told me I’m gonna end up marrying a criminal one day and I was like. Oh. Thanks, mom. We have good times. Like if I shift to the Vampire Diaries you best bet I am going to marry a criminal but like here, eh. Maybe. I’m probably on the FBI watchlist at this point. Side note, I love Caroline but she’s getting hard core dissed in this thing so like I guess that’s a warning. Also sorry that this one is a day late. I had writers block.
3.) Secret Santa
“Why did you invite him?” Caroline asked Y/N quietly.
“I don’t know why it’s such a big deal to you. He was literally trapped alone in a prison world for years of his life. He hasn’t had any pleasant Christmases.”
“Oh, I don’t know why I’d be upset that you brought a sociopath that murdered his entire family.”
“Yeah. I don’t know why you’d be upset either but we’re all here for secret Santa, so I guess you’ll just have to deal with it.” Y/N sassed.
“Yeah. Merry freaking Christmas. I have a sociopath and Damon Salvatore in our house. Our house Y/N. Ours.”
“You really shouldn’t be upset. I’m pretty sure l am the only person in this house right now who hasn’t killed someone. Also, you literally look like you want to murder me right now, so you and Kai have more in common than I thought.” Y/N said. She patted her older sister on the back before leaving the kitchen where Caroline insisted on a sidebar.
As Y/N walked into the sitting room, she heard Caroline groan in frustration.
“You do know that more than half of the room heard that conversation, right?” Damon asked as Y/N sat in between him and Kai.
“Yep. Do I care? No.”
“I think you’ve been hanging around those two too much, Y/N.” Bonnie said gesturing towards Damon and Kai.
“That hurts Bon Bon. It hurts.” Damon said sarcastically placing his hand over his chest. Bonnie smiled but rolled her eyes.
“Well, now you made Caroline into the Grinch, so hopefully she doesn’t take it out on the rest of us.” Elena said.
“I heard that!” Caroline yelled from the kitchen. They all laughed under their breath. Seconds later Caroline came out of the kitchen carrying cookies, a light scowl planted on her face. It soon turned into a fake smile, you know one of those scary Caroline fake smiles.
“Hmm. I’m fine. I’m totally fine. This’ll be the best secret Santa ever. Who knows? Might even top Friendsgiving where Jo almost died on the couch. Such low expectations to meet. It has to be better, right? Right?”
“Okay. Okay. Let’s just put down the hot tray of cookies. That’s it.” Stefan said patting her on the shoulder.
Caroline let out a sigh, trying to calm herself. “So, let’s get started.”
The tension in the air was thick. Kai hadn’t said a word. Every time Y/N looked over he was on Twitter. At one point she almost laughed because she saw him looking at Ralph Macchio’s Twitter.
“Okay so, everyone knows how this works right? Give the person’s name you drew last week the gift. It’s simple seriously. If you don’t know how this works you’re an idiot.” Caroline said.
“Okay. So, the passive aggressive attitude hasn’t passed has it?” Y/N asked.
Caroline rolled her eyes. “Let’s just get this over with. Also, I’d appreciate if you found somewhere else to stay at tonight.”
“Rude. Yo, Damon, can I stay in one of the spare bedrooms tonight?”
“Sure. Problem solved blondie.” He said addressing Caroline in her least favorite way. She scoffed.
“I don’t get a say? It’s my house too.” Stefan chimed in.
“Do you have something to say to me there, Stef?” Y/N asked.
“No, I would just like for my brother to console me before having someone spend the night in my house.”
“Our house Stefan. Ours.”
“Oh lovely. Just what we need! Another sibling feud!” Elena exlclaimed.
“Okay, you know what? I’m just gonna go. I don’t want in the middle of this whatsoever. Elena, are you coming?” Bonnie asked.
“Don’t have to ask me twice.” She said following Bonnie out the door.
“Great! Look what you did, Y/N!”
“What I did?! You’re the one that’s being a bitch!”
“You did not just go there!”
“I’m the oldest one Stefan! I make the decisions!”
“Well you sure don’t act like it, Damon!”
The arguments overlapped as Kai stood in the corner observing.
“Heh. Just how Christmas was at my house.” Kai smirked to himself.
Kai didn’t quite catch what was said that caused it to happen, but Y/N punched Caroline in the face.
She gasped popping her broken nose back in place. “Jerk!” She exclaimed.
“Bitch!” Y/N said back. She flipped her off and ran upstairs. Minutes later she came back down carrying a bag of essentials. “Have fun telling mom why I’m not home by curfew, you dumbass! Come on, Kai.”
He chuckled to himself a bit, then followed her. Not long after, they had arrived at Kai’s apartment.
“You coming in or what? You’re staying here now right?” He asked.
“I was just gonna like sleep in my car, but since your offering…”
“You’re welcome anytime your sister’s being stuck up and bitchy.”
“Oh so literally 24/7? Thanks.” She joked.
“Sorry you had to listen to that.” She muttered as they entered the building.
“Eh. I’m used to it.”
They entered his apartment. Y/N threw her stuff beside the couch. There was an awkward moment of silence before Kai broke it.
“I’m hungry. Are you hungry?”
“Yeah. You wanna go to the Grill or something?”
“Yeah. Let’s go.”
They drove to the Grill and entered to see Damon at the bar drinking whiskey. What else was new?
“Stef kick you out of the house?” Y/N joked.
“Oh ha ha, Y/N. No, I just don’t want to deal with his bullshit. Well, would you look at that? You brought the psychopath with you.”
“Sociopath.” Kai corrected. The door swung open revealing Bonnie and Elena.
“Wow. We all try to avoid each other and end up in the same place.” Elena said.
“Well, merry freaking Christmas and a happy new year. My sister hates me. It’s 7:00 pm and I’m drinking. And I haven’t even stabbed anyone with a candy cane yet. I’ve always wanted to do that.” She mumbled the last sentence to herself. She downed a shot.
“Also you aren’t even 21 and are drinking in a public place.” Elena added. Y/N glared at her.
“You know, I’m starting to worry about your violent tendencies.” Bonnie stated.
“I think it suits her.” Damon smirked.
“I definitely agree with Damon for once in my life. It’s hot.”
Y/N elbowed Kai in the ribs.
“Ow. Why didn’t he get elbowed?” Kai complained.
“He wasn’t flirting with me.”
Y/N ordered some chicken strips and French fries from Matt.
“You’re such a child.” Damon said. “Oh I’m sorry I would rather eat chicken strips than a salad or a blood bag. I’m not a vampire or a real adult, Damon. You should know that by now.”
“Oh yeah. I forgot in the midst of everything. Merry Christmas, Kai.” Y/N handed him a Walkman and a cassette. “I made you a mixtape. I understand if you don’t like use it or anything but…”
“No, Y/N, I like it. Thanks…Wow. Ugh, I’m having that mushy feeling again. Gross. Feelings are hard.”
Bonnie and Elena gave each other a look. “Damon, let’s go play pool or something.” Bonnie said. Her and Elena forced him to get up.
Once they got over to the pool table, Damon glared at them. “No. No. No. We were doing damage control. Are you two seriously going to let your best friend fall in love with him?”
“Look, this could potentially make him less of a threat. Wouldn’t you like to let the issue fix itself for once? Kai has feelings now. He is in love with her. We keep it that way, he might not go on another murderous rampage.”
“How did you say that so nonchalantly? He has feelings because he literally killed his brother.” Damon said gesturing toward him.
“Oh god. They’re making out. That is literally disgusting. How are you all okay with this?”
“I don’t want to do something for once. I agree with Elena. Let the problem fix itself.” Bonnie said.
“You know what? Fine. I won’t interfere. I’ll just be watching. I’ll l be waiting because sooner or later this is going to bite you both in the ass, just like when she was with Kol. The cycle is repeating, and I’m not helping this time when you just ‘leave it alone’”
Damon left, and Bonnie and Elena both shrugged and started playing pool. “Merry Christmas Elena.” “Merry Christmas Bonnie.”

Fox - Chapter 16
Tumblr media
Previously on Fox: (Y/n) and Natasha put their stuff in the storage area, (Y/n) still holding onto her coffee cup - Natasha was starting to think that she had an addiction - and the two move to the front of the ship. (Y/n) pulls the Quinjet out of the hanger, radios in and pulls the Quinjet into the air.
Natasha's POV
Once (Y/n) had lifted the Quinjet in the air, she punches some coordinates. She relaxes grabbing her coffee cup.
"I think you have an addiction," I say, and (Y/n) turns to me, one of her eyebrows raising, her head cocking a little to the right.
"No," she says, taking a sip of her coffee and I continue to look at her. "Okay, fine. Maybe a little," she says and I send her another look. "Why am I friends with you?" she asks, sending me a playful glare. "Yes, I have a coffee addiction, but that's not my fault. My Dad practically lives on coffee, it's really not healthy," she says.
I grab my cup and take a sip, savoring the taste of black coffee. "How can you do that?" (Y/n) asks, a slightly disgusted look on her face.
"What?" I ask.
"Straight black coffee," she offers and I shrug.
"Something I've always had," I admit and (Y/n) nods slightly.
She goes to say something but her phone rings. She pulls it out of her Air Force leather jacket and checking the display. Rolling her eyes, she answers the phone.
"Hey Clint," she greets the archer.
(Y/n) stays silent for a moment, "No, we're asleep," she says in a sarcastic voice. "This is a voicemail. Please leave a message after the beep," the (H/C) haired woman glances at me, rolling her eyes, and I let out a short laugh.
"Yeah, we'll be there soon," (Y/n) says after a moment. "No I can't pick you up coffee," she says, sending me an incredulous look. "Ask Nat, I'd drink it. Go on," she hands me the phone.
"She would totally drink it," I say and Clint laughs. I hand (Y/n) back her phone, and she goes to take another sip of her coffee and groans.
"I'm out of coffee," she says.
"I got it," I say, standing up and (Y/n)'s eyes light up.
"Creamer," she threatens, handing me the cup.
I smile, taking the cup before walking towards the back of the Quinjet where (Y/n) had put in a coffee maker. I make a fresh pot and add some creamer and sugar.
"No! Clint don't be stupid!" I hear (Y/n) say, a blush rising on her face, as I bring her back her coffee cup. 'Thanks,' she mouths, listening to Clint talk, taking a sip of the fresh coffee. "Nope! I'm done!" (Y/n) says, shaking her head. "Bye, Clint!" she puts the phone down shaking her head slightly, sipping her coffee.
"What was that about?" I ask interestingly.
"Clint just being stupid as usual," she says, rolling her eyes.
"Can I say again how much I hate surprises?" I offer and she shakes her head, her (E/C) eyes sparkling lightly.
"Well," she tilts her head slightly, "you can, nothing's gonna happen. I'm not going to take my best friend to Death Con-1," she says and I send her a strange look. "Never mind," she says drinking more coffee. "Can you watch the controls for a minute? I want to go get my laptop," she says and I nod. "I'm not taking my coffee," she adds playfully, setting her coffee cup in a cup holder.
(Y/n) leaves, coming back a minute later with her laptop. She sits back down, and opens it, typing something in before gazing at the screen.
I start to nod off and she looks up, "I'll wake you up if you fall asleep," she offers.
"Thanks," I tell her, laying my head against the chair.
"There's a cot in the back if you want that," she says and I nod. I stand up and move towards the back of the Quinjet and lie down on the cot.
(Y/n)'s POV
After Natasha had left to lie down, I pull up the design for the mini Arc Reactor. I gaze at the screen before sizing down the flow of power.
"There is still less than a one percent chance of it working," (M/n) murmurs.
For the next couple hours, I continue to try and fix the Arc Reactor design, but I keep getting failures. I go to try something else when the Quinjet gradually slows down and a smiles spreads across my face as I see the Bartons' Farm. I scramble to my feet and run my laptop to my suitcase and nudge Natasha awake. I dart back out of the room where the cots are and have the Quinjet land in the middle of the field.
Natasha's POV
I sit up when (Y/n) had nudged me awake. I walk out as the Quinjet lands on the field and the back door opens. (Y/n) shifts into a border collie puppy, her tongue hanging cutely out of her mouth.
Puppy (Y/n) trots out of the Quinjet and I follow, feeling intrigued. Trotting across the field, Puppy (Y/n) trips, squeaking as she tumbles over her white paws. I bend down and help her back up and she wags her tail happily. Thanks, she says and I nod, smiling down at her.
Puppy (Y/n) shakes herself before setting off at a sprint across the field and I jog after her. Puppy (Y/n) darts up the stops and barks at the door. Clint opens the door and smiles as Puppy (Y/n) charges through the door.
"Uh, hey Clint," I say looking at him.
"Hey Natasha," he smiles. "Come on in."
"They're upstairs," Clint tells Puppy (Y/n) and she barks happily before darting up the stairs.
(Y/n)'s POV
I dart up the stairs and into Cooper's room and he laughs as I jump onto his bed and shift back into myself.
"Auntie (Y/n)!" he chirps, pulling me into a hug.
"Hey Coop," I say happily. "Where's Lila?" I ask.
"Come on," Cooper says, grabbing my hand and pulling me down the hall. "Lila!" he yells.
"Cooper, don't yell at your sister," I say as Lila comes running out of her room. "Hey kiddo," I say, bending down and wrapping the girl in a hug.
"Auntie (Y/n)!" Lila says happily.
"Were you too being good?" I ask and the two nod. "Come here," I pull the two kids onto my shoulders and make my way down the stairs. I set them down at the bottom of the stairs and walk into the kitchen where I see Clint and Natasha sitting in the dining room.
"Laura!" I walk over, pulling the brown haired woman into a hug.
"When did you get here?" she asks, pulling out of the hug.
"Just a few minutes ago," I say, the two of us walking into the dining room and sitting down at the table, me to the right of Natasha.
"You've clearly been here before," Natasha asks, raising an eyebrow at me.
"And?" I ask.
"Who's this?" Laura asks, nodding towards Natasha.
"This is Natasha, she's our new partner," Clint says.
"AKA, Clint's replacing me already," I tease and Clint rolls his eyes.
"He's not wrong," Natasha says and I frown.
"You're so mean," I whine, and Natasha laughs. "I hate all of you," I mutter and the three laugh.
After a moment, I stand up.
"Where are you going?" Laura asks.
"I'm going to get our stuff," I say over my shoulder as I walk towards the door. I open the door, and close it behind me and I shift into a fox and sprint over to the Quinjet. Once I get there I shift back and open the back hatch to open the Quinjet. As I walk in, my phone rings.
Looking at the display, I am a little confused to see Sam's number.
"Sam?" I ask into the phone.
"(Y/n), how have you been?" comes Sam's deep voice through the phone.
"Alright," I say, sitting down in my pilot's seat. "You?"
"It's been strange not having to literally sprint to keep up with your jog," Sam says and I laugh. "How's work going?"
"Pretty good," I answer. "Just had a huge business trip."
"Oh, are you at home?" he asks.
"No, I'm with a friend," I answer.
"Darn, I wanted to try to beat you in a run for once," Sam says.
"Hey, I'll go easy on you next time," I offer. "Maybe let you win."
Sam groans.
"How's it been there since I left?" I ask.
"Pretty normal, just less peppy, I guess," Sam answers. "Less animals around."
"Haha," I roll my eyes.
"Well, it was nice talking to you," Sam says, "but I've got to go."
"Same, talk to you soon Sammy."
"Bye!" he says.
"See you," I promise, and Sam ends the call.
I stand up, putting my phone in my jacket pocket. I walk over to the storage area and grab the two suitcases and my guitar and carry them out of the Quinjet. I walk across the field and up to the Bartons' front porch, setting the guitar on a chair, opening the door and carrying the suitcases up the stairs and into the room that I had stayed in the last time I had been here.
I walk back down the stairs and outside to see Lila and Cooper looking at the guitar case.
"What's this?" Copper asks as I sit down on the porch.
"It's a guitar," I pull the guitar closer to me and take it out of it's case.
"It's pretty!" Lila says, staring at the painted galaxy on it.
"Thanks, my Dad got it for me," I pull the guitar into the play position and strum the strings gently.
"Can I try?" Lila asks and I nod.
"Come here," I tell her and she moves closer to me. "It might be a little big," I set the guitar on Lila's right leg. "You put your left hand here," I gently take her hand and move it up towards the first fret. "Your right hand rests right here and strums the strings." I take her right hand and she gently strums the strings. "Coop, you want to try?" I ask and he nods.
Lila hands me the guitar and Cooper moves closer to me. I set the instrument on his right leg and he moves his hands to where I hand told Lila to place her's.
"Good job," I say, smiling at the young boy.
"Can you play something?" Cooper asks, handing me the guitar back.
"Sure," I take the guitar and tune it real quick before strumming a few cords.
"Heading down south to the land of the pines I'm thumbing my way into North Caroline Staring up the road and pray to God I see headlights I made it down the coast in seventeen hours Picking me a bouquet of dogwood flowers And I'm a-hopin' for Raleigh, I can see my baby tonight
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel Rock me momma any way you feel Hey, momma rock me Rock me momma like the wind and the rain Rock me momma like a south bound train Hey, momma rock me
I'm running from the cold up in New England I was born to be a fiddler in an old time string band My baby plays a guitar, I pick a banjo now Oh, north country winters keep a-getting me down Lost my money playing poker so I had to leave town But I ain't turning back to living that old life no more
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel Rock me momma any way you feel Hey, momma rock me Hey, rock me momma like the wind and the rain Rock me momma like a south bound train Hey, momma rock me
Walkin' to the south out of Roanoke Caught a trucker out of Philly had a nice long toke But he's a heading west from the Cumberland gap To Johnson City, Tennessee And I gotta get a move on before the sun I hear my baby calling my name and I know that she's the only one And if I die in Raleigh at least I will die free
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel Rock me momma any way you feel Hey, momma rock me Oh, rock me momma like the wind and the rain Rock me momma like a south bound train Hey momma rock me
Oh, so rock me momma like a wagon wheel Rock me momma any way you feel Hey, momma rock me (mama rock me, mama rock me) Rock me momma like the wind and the rain Rock me momma like a south bound train Hey, ey yeah momma rock me (you can rock me, rock me)"
"That's so cool!" Cooper exclaims and I smile gently at the brown haired boy.
"Can you teach me how to play?" Lila asks eagerly and I nods.
I hand the guitar to Lila and she moves it into playing position. "This is a G cord," I set the fingers of my left hand in the position and Lila strums, the G cord ringing out from the guitar.
"Like this?" Lila asks, placing her hand in the correct position.
"Yeah, strum it now," I say and she lights up as the correct sound rings out of the guitar. "Good job," I say as she begins a down, down, up, down, up down strumming pattern. "Right, this is a C cord," I move my hands and Lila strums, a C cord resonating from the guitar.
"Can I try?" Lila asks.
"Don't have to ask, kiddo," I say and she smiles, then moving her left hand into the correct position. "That's it," I encourage and she begins to play, playing the G cord, then switching into a C, and back again. "Have you been learning secretly?" I ask. "You're extremely good for a beginner."
"I've been looking at books about guitar," Lila admits and I smiles.
"There it is," I say and she laughs. "Coop, you wanna learn?" I ask but he shakes his head no.
"Let Lila learn, Dad can teach me archery," he says and I smile.
For about an hour, I show Lila the different cords and how to play them. Cooper had went inside and I hadn't seen him for about half-an-hour when he comes out, leading Laura.
"Look what Auntie (Y/n) showed me!" Lila says cheerfully and Laura sits down the chair behind the two of us. I hold out the guitar to Lila and she takes it, setting it in the playing position. She plays all the cords and Laura smiles.
"Good job kid," Clint's voice comes from the doorway, Natasha standing at his side.
"Auntie (Y/n)'s better!" Lila exclaims, handing me back my guitar.
"I don't know why everyone's so concerned about my guitar playing skills," I complain and everyone laughs. "Clint, you play drums right?" I ask and the archer nods. "There, we can start a family band! Clint's a drummer and Lila can be my lead guitarist. It'll be fun," I say, looking at the incredulous faces around me.
"Let me say," Natasha says, and I meet her green gaze. "That is an interesting idea," she hides a smile and I roll my eyes.
I stand up and grab my guitar case, my guitar in the case.
"About the rooming situation," Laura says once the four of us are settled in the living room, Clint and I each holding a mug of coffee. "Would you two be okay with rooming together?" she asks.
"That's okay by me," I say and Natasha nods.
"Been an ongoing thing for awhile now so," Natasha says and Laura looks strangely at us.
"Hotel rooms, my house, that's it," I finish, thinking there was going to be a third thing but their wasn't.
"Is the room you stayed in a few weeks ago alright?" Clint asks and I nod.
"Oh, (Y/n)," Laura says, and I look up from my coffee.
"Hmm," I nod for her go to on.
"Clint said you wouldn't mind, but our tractor doesn't seem to want to start," Laura says and I stand up, setting my mug on the side table.
"I'll go take a look at it," I walk over to the door and pause when I see Natasha standing up.
"I'll come," she offers and I nod, holding the door open for the redhead.
3rd Person POV
Once they had walked through the door, Laura turns to Clint. "So, Natasha and (Y/n)? How long's that been going on for?" she asks.
"Nat and (Y/n), that's funny," Clint says, taking a sip of coffee.
"I'm serious," Laura says.
Back with Natasha and (Y/n), the two are walking in a comfortable silence towards the barn. (Y/n) pushes open the doors and walks in, Natasha sitting down on a hay bale as she watches (Y/n) walk towards the tractor.
"Hmm, looks like it just needs a jump," (Y/n) murmurs, opening the hood and studying the engine. "In the wrong spot though, this could blow up," (Y/n) adds. "Who built this thing?" she wonders aloud.
"Don't blow up the Bartons' tractor," Natasha says, walking up behind the (E/C) eyed woman.
"Thanks Romanoff, that's quite helpful," (Y/n) teases, rolling her eyes at the woman.
(Y/n) places four fingers - two from each hand - on opposite sides of the engine. "Stand back," she tells Natasha and the former assassin takes a tentative step back. "This better work," (Y/n) mutters under her breath. She summons a little lightning and the tractor jolts before starting up.
"Good job Stark," Natasha says, placing a gentle hand on the (H/C) haired woman's shoulder.
(Y/n) smiles over at the redhead and Natasha smiles back, affection rising up in (Y/n) at the redhead's smile.
"I guess we should get back," (Y/n) says, walking over and turning off the tractor.
"Hey (Y/n)?" Natasha says, looking slightly nervous, and (Y/n) looks at her, a concerned look on her face.
"Nat?" (Y/n) asks, stepping closer to the former assassin.
"Would you maybe want to go to dinner sometime?" Natasha asks.
(Y/n)'s head tilts to the side. "As friends or like -" (Y/n) gets cut off.
"Maybe like a date," Natasha offers and a smile spreads gently across (Y/n)'s face.
"That sounds nice," (Y/n) says and Natasha smiles back.
"Come on," (Y/n) says. "Clint's going to think we started doing," (Y/n) pauses for a moment, "things." she finishes weakly and Natasha laughs.
"Race you," Natasha calls over her shoulder as she sprints across the field back towards the Bartons' house.
"Oh, you're on," (Y/n) says, sprinting after Natasha, quickly catching up to the redhead, then surpassing her. She stops at the stairs and waits for Natasha.
"You don't look very fast," Natasha says, staring up (Y/n), who was about five or six inches taller than the former assassin.
"Thanks Romanoff," (Y/n) teases. "It's part of my super strength," she adds. "Come on," (Y/n) says, opening the door and letting Natasha in.
"Auntie Nat!" comes two voices. Lila and Cooper throw themselves at Natasha and the former assassin tenses before (Y/n) nods slightly and Natasha relaxes.
"Aww, that's adorable," (Y/n) says as Laura and Clint walk into the room. "You force the aunt life on Nat too?" (Y/n) asks them teasingly.
"She agreed to it," Clint says defensively.
A few hours later, Laura and (Y/n) are in the kitchen making dinner.
"So," Laura says and (Y/n) looks up from where she is dicing some onions. "You and Nat," she says and (Y/n) sends her a look.
"No," It sounded more like a question rather than a statement.
"Yessss," Laura holds out the word.
"Fine!" (Y/n) says. "She asked me on a date," the (E/C) eyed woman admits.
"That's cute!" Laura says nudging (Y/n) gently, laughing at the slight blush spreading across (Y/n)'s face.
"Stoppp!" (Y/n) whines and Laura smiles, changing the subject to something else.
A few minutes later, the six are sitting at the dining table (Y/n) and Natasha on one side of the table, Clint and Laura on the other, and Lila and Cooper at each end.
Is this the dinner you meant? (Y/n) asks Natasha using her mind powers.
No idiot! She answers and (Y/n) raises her eyebrow, hiding a smile.
The six sit around, enjoying each other's company while eating the meal that Laura and (Y/n) had prepared, laughing and joking around.
A little later, Natasha and (Y/n) are in their shared bedroom, Natasha settling on the bed, and (Y/n), as a Maine Coon cat, curls up on a comfortable chair on the opposite side of the room.
"(Y/n)?" Natasha says and Kitten (Y/n) lifts her head before shifting back into herself.
"Yeah?" (Y/n) asks.
"Why do you sleep as an animal?" Natasha inquires, gazing into (Y/n)'s gentle (E/C) gaze.
"I don't know," (Y/n) answers. "I think it helps me relax," (Y/n) finally says.
"I guess I understand there," Natasha says quietly, before thinking for a moment. "I have nightmares from," she pauses, "where I came from before," Natasha says and (Y/n) walks over, sitting on the bed beside Natasha.
Natasha looks into (Y/n)'s eyes, the former assassin feeling comforted by the soft (E/C) gaze.
"When I was little," Natasha begins, "I was taken from my parents and was recruited by the KBG. They told me I was helping my country," Natasha looks down at her hands in her lap. "They trained me to fight, they trained me to kill, and at whatever the cost. After a year or two, they put me in the Red Room Academy. There, they trained me to be a ruthless killer, and," Natasha pauses, a pained look in her emerald eyes, and (Y/n) takes Natasha's pale hands in her own, and Natasha looks up. "When you, well, graduate from the Red Room, they, um, they sterilize you," Natasha sighs heavily, then continues. "After the graduation, I had one last mission. Wait until Fury hired you, then track down you and Clint," Natasha looks up, expecting to see anger in (Y/n)'s eyes, but sees a completely different look in the woman's eyes, a kind, compassionate look that leaves Natasha stunned for a moment. Then she continues, "I think that those agents that attacked you back in Belarus weren't after you. I think the Red Room sent those Agents after me, all of you -"
(Y/n) cuts her off, "And that doesn't matter. You're our friend, and that means nobody gets left behind." Natasha meets her gaze and relaxes slightly.
"Thanks (Y/n)," Natasha says and she, surprisingly to (Y/n), wraps her in a hug; (Y/n) hugs back. The two stay that way for a few minutes then Natasha breaks the hug. (Y/n) stands up from the bed and makes her way back to the chair.
"Good night Nat," (Y/n) says, shifting back into the Maine Coon and settling into the chair, resting her head on her paws and resting her tail on the arm of the chair.
"Good night (Y/n)," Natasha murmurs, settling under the covers and turning the light off.

Eternal Flame- Kol Mikaelson 7/?
A Hundred Dead Witches!?!
Summary: 'You never know whats in a persons heart until you truly know them' - Belle French, Once Upon a Time
Singing. Thats all what Alexandra Gilbert has cared about since she was young and all she would care about until she met him.
With Alexandra fighting vampires, werewolves and all between she may do a thing she vowed never to do, fall in love.
And to think it all started with a walk in the woods...
Tonight was the night of Illuminations, a town tradition that has been going on for centuries so a group of us had volunteered to help or in my case forced to. While hanging lanterns from the trees Carol Lockwood decided to make a speech to the volunteers deciding to thank the people actually doing the work instead of sitting around making speeches along with introducing Tobias Fell.
"Remind me why we're here again?" I whispered to Mark but before he could answer Sam butted in.
"It's my uncle Tobys night, my mom's forcing me to volunteer and I'm sure as hell not doing it on my own." Making me roll my eyes at the bassist.
"Yo, what'd I miss" James said coming behind us making me jump out of my skin giving him a push.
"Nothing the speech is about to begin." Sam informed him.
"The first illumination..." He started, going on about history of the town and the founders.
"I'm gonna dip. Finish my lantern" I whispered to James making him look at me incredulously. I just looked at him and blew a kiss at the drummer before a quietly and as slyly as possible trying to escape the wrath of Sam Fell who although may look skinny and weak can destroy you.
When it looked like I was in the clear for now I walked up to Caroline and Bonnie who were tying lanterns to a branch.
"-comment on that."
"Comment on what?"
"There. You Commented"
"I'm confused, what are you commenting?" Asking the duo confused at what is going on and what is being commented.
"What do you want me to say Caroline?" She asked clearly distressed before finally addressing me "I went against the balance of nature when I brought Jeremy back to life and now, I'm paying the consequences. Whenever he wants to see Anna and she wants to see him, she's still here". Jesus this is fucked up.
"Bon..." I started looking at her sympathetically before Caroline butts in
"I want you to tell me you're not okay with it."
"I'm a thousand times not okay with it. I just don't know what to do about it" she said looking deflated at the entire situation making me throw my arm around her shoulders in comfort.
"You, Bonnie Bennett are the most powerful, smartest and amazing witch. You'll figure out, trust me. You're Bonnie Bennett for Christ sake!" She smiled at me giving a small laugh before a blue Camaro comes out of nowhere pulling up with a raven haired vampire driving.
"Greetings, blondie, witchy, brainy. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan." She tells us with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Vicki Donovan?" I questioned confused to how a dead vampire was being brought into this conversation,
"What do you mean, why?" Bonnie questioned the annoyed/annoying vampire in front of her.
"Because I'm pretty sure I just got spit-roasted by Mason Lockwood's ghost." He explained. What the hell did Damon do to that poor and attractive werewolf?
"What?" Bonnie asked very confused.
"And why exactly do you think that?" I asked wondering how Mason Lockwood was the first person he thought of.
"Maybe because he chained me to a chair and shoved a hot poker into my chest. let's say I'm having deja vu." With this being told me and Caroline both look at Bonnie who looks very confused and conflicted.
"I thought you said ghosts couldn't interact with people." Caroline said talking straight to Bonnie thinking how it can't be possible that Bonnie may have been wrong.
"They can't"
"Yeah well, I don't have time for a vengeful Lockwood. When I kill someone, they're supposed to stay dead. Whatever you screwed up fix it." He ranted towards the witch after that he drove away extremely quickly and most likely above the speed limit.
Across the road was Matt watching the interaction of the four of us. I was the first to cross the street to talk to the quarterback with Caroline and Bonnie following closely behind. I asked him quickly if he had seen Vicki.
"I haven't seen Vicki, I swear" He told us all before looking down upset about having to go through the loss of his sister a second time "I sent her back like you told me to do."
"Are you sure?" Bonnie asked making sure that Matt actually did get rid of Vicki "Because she has just as much reason to haunt Damon as Mason Lockwood does."
"90% of the people who have been killed in the past two years has as much reason to haunt Damon as much as Mason Lockwood." I added making Caroline nod in agreement.
"She's gone Bonnie. If she was here, I'd know it" I gave him a small sympathetic smile it clear that he was severely upset about this whole ordeal.
"Why do you think its Vicki and not Mason?" Caroline asked the witch.
"Because if any ghost other than Vicki Donovan has a physical foothold on our side, that means Damon's right." Words I never thought I'd hear "and something has gone really, really wrong." Bonnie states looking extremely worried about this situation and what would happen if all the ghosts from our past come to literally haunt us.
"I've had enough of this ghost stuff to last forever. So can you guys can leave me out of this one" Matt tells the three of us, I nodded understanding that if that happened to me, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed forget going to work. He walks away from us, and you can hear Caroline talking.
"I feel so sad for him. It took a lot for him to send his sister away."
"Yeah" Bonnie replied shortly.
"I highly doubt I could do that, if I got to saw my mom or dad again... I don't know if I would be able to let them go." I stated feeling so much sympathy for the blue-eyed boy. "It took a lot of guts anyway." This made the other girls nod.
"So much strength in a man." Caroline continued looking at both of us.
"Caroline it's never going to happen, get over it." Rolling my eyes at her Insinuating that Matt would be a perfectly good boyfriend as she's done for the part two months.
"I've got a ghost problem to deal with, Caroline. Save the Jeremy lecture for later" She snapped while grabbing her bag all of her stuff falling out when the strap broke. I bent down and helped her pick up her things and just as she was going to put her grimoire up it opens itself to a page in the center of the book.
"Did that just..." I asked the witch and vampire not believing my eyes.
"I think so." Bonnie said cocking her head to the side while picking up the book reading the page that the book opened itself to.
"Okay please tell me that's a recipe for witch cookies" Caroline half joked half serious about the page Bonnie was currently reading.
"It's a manifestation spell. It's used to reveal veiled matter." Bonnie told us the meaning of the grimoires spell.
"What's veiled matter?" Caroline asked and before Bonnie answered I said in shock.
"Ghosts." looking at them all.
"What do we do? Do we do the spell? What is the spell exactly?" I questioned Bonnie repeatedly wanting the ghosts to be a thing in the past and look into the future.
"I think we need to go somewhere more private."
***
Caroline pulled her car up to an abandoned creepy looking house. the three of us enter the front room me and Caroline a little bit more apprehensively than Bonnie.
"So, this is where you brought Jeremy back to life?" I asked Bonnie looking around the room severely creeped out, the interior being as bad as the exterior.
"Yeah. Sorry, I know it's creepy, but we needed a private place to do the spell." Bonnie apologized getting ready to do the spell.
"Hmmm. There's no chance it's haunted by the hundred dead witches who were horrifically burned to death in this very spot, is there?" Caroline question clearly scared, and that question alone made me just as scared.
"A hundred dead witches?!"
"They're not here anymore. And they made it clear they were never coming back." she reassured us both trying to calm our nerves or well attempted to.
"Right. You pinkie swear?" Caroline asks trying to make a joke in the tense environment. Making me give her a look. I got the candles out and gave Caroline a lighter so she can help light the candles with me for Bonnie to start the spell.
"Ready do you need us to do..." I started turning around to see Bonnie already starting to start the spell "Right. Okay" I looked at Caroline while Bonnie was continuing to do the spell getting louder every chant a breeze beginning to surround us getting stronger and stronger by the second making everything in the room moves. Seeing all of this makes my eyes widen and start to worry about Bonnie and how safe this is for her.
"Bonnie, I don't like this. Bonnie..." Caroline voices my thoughts while also looking around that was until we saw something shocking.
"Oh my God, is that your...?" I started but couldn't finish due to the pure shock of what I as seeing. All three of us shocked Bonnie can't say anything, it even leaves Caroline speechless. The silence was broke with Bonnie saying quietly.
"Grams."

For some light and short Trimberly + Penelope, I'm definitely referencing our previous discussion lol, kid Penelope gets in trouble for something minor and Trini gets into scold mom mode but Penelope as her usually sassy self brings Kim into it and snitches on her for something because if she's gonna get in trouble, she might as well bring Kim down too
Hahahahaha yesss okay.
“Penelope!” Trini called for her young daughter as she moved from the kitchen and through the house. She did hear a peep. That only angered her more, because she knew damn well the child heard her. Trini’s voice...carries. She continued her warpath to Penelope’s room and peered in. “PENELOPE PARK HART!!” Then she heard a giggling. She swerved around and went into her and her wife’s bedroom. No child. Ohhh not in her house would a sneaky child hide when in trouble. Penelope knew better. Trini bent down and pulled up the dust ruffle on the bed and was met with amused green eyes.
“I hid from you, Mami,” Penelope giggled. Cute as the sound was it didn’t get the girl out of trouble.
“You heard me call your name! Come out from there.” She backed up, a hand falling to her hip, and she watched the six year old crawl from under the bed, sit down, and stare up at her. Her daughter still didn’t look the least bit concerned with anything. “Penelope....” Trini tried to steady her voice and not, grudgingly as she was to admit, sound like her own mother. Trini held up the large, broken pieces of her favorite small flower pot. She watched Penelope’s eyes grow. “What is this?” Trini asked.
Penelope shook her head slowly and held her hands out, palms up. “I don’t know, Mami.”
“Are you lying to me?”
Penelope’s nose crinkled. “Maybe Shadow broke it.”
“Really? You’re blaming the cat?” Trini turned one of the larger pieces over so Penelope could see. “And did Shadow also put bandaids on it?”
“I think he tried to fix it,” Penelope said with a shrug. She placed her hands on her ankles and lifted them up.
“I think you’re lying to me, and you know what liar’s get.”
“Timeout?”
“Uh huh. So you wanna try that again?”
“Can we give Shadow time out?”
Trini took a deep breath. “Penelope.”
“But Maaaami,” Penelope said dragging the name. Her head dropped back, chin sticking out. “Mama should get time out, too.”
The brows on Trini’s head pinched together. “What?”
Penelope brought her head forward to look at Trini. “I saw Mama when she dusted yesterday. She didn’t touch anything, Mami.” Penelope’s hands splayed out to make her point.
“This-...it isn’t about what Mama did, this is about what you did.”
“But Mami!” Penelope was aghast. “She just did this!” She waved an invisible wand in the air. “She didn’t touch stuff. And you say you hafta go all around it, and Mami, she didn’t!” Penelope’s hands fell to her knees with a slap. “She just...” Penelope let out a large sigh and held her forehead as she shook her head. “Did FaceTime with Uncle Zack and said ‘later Penny, I’m dusting’, but she wasn’t.”
Trini truly didn’t know what to do with that information. She didn’t doubt it’s validity, she knew her wife, but...really? She asked Kim to do what was arguably the easiest chore of all. Trini narrowed her eyes. “Like I said already, this isn’t about Mama, this is about you breaking my flower pot and trying to hide it in the dryer. You had to know I’d find it!”
Penelope shrugged lightly. “I thought you’d find it when I go to Josie’s house. Mami,” Penelope huffed. “I’m tired of this.”
Oh her girl had lip. Too much lip. “Okay, listen here little miss drama queen, I say when it’s enough not you,” she got out in rapid fire Spanish. Penelope had the good grace to close her mouth and get a more serious look on her face. Trini put the broken flower pot on her desk. “Time out. And for the extra sass, I’m calling Caroline and telling her you can’t spend the night tonight.”
“Nooooo! Mami, I have to. I’ll die!”
“You will not die,” Trini argued, rolling her eyes. “Let’s go.” She turned and left the room with a whining Penelope on her tail. She got to the living room and pointed at the rug in the middle of it. “Sit.”
“Honies, I’m home!” Trini swirled and glared at her wife. Kim’s eyes widened. “What’s...going on?”
“Baby...” Trini smiled at her wife with what wasn’t a friendly smile. “Go sit with your daughter. Back to back.”
Kim clearly knew better than to say no to Trini just then, so she did. “Everything....okay?” She sat with her back to their daughter’s.
“We’re in timeout,” Penelope informed Kim, arms crossing stubbornly.
“We?” Kim asked.
“Yes, dear. And after timeout we’re gonna have a lesson in dusting. Then you’re ordering dinner,” Trini went on. She sat on the couch and propped her feet up. “Then you can give Pen a bath, and come back and tell me just what chores you’ve been half-A-S-S-ing lately.”
“A bath?” Kim frowned. “Baby...I thought she was going to stay with Josie tonight? You know....our night?”
“Ha!” Trini shook her head and picked up her book. “You’ll hafta take care of our night on your own, baby.” She licked her finger slowly and turned the page. “Now you both know the rules, no talking in time-out or it starts over.”
“I can’t believe my own wife-“
“Nuh-Uh,” Trini chided. “Start over.” She glanced up, just barely, in time enough to see Penelope to slap her forehead and shake her head. Kim was glaring. Trini smirked and looked down to her book. Why hadn’t she thought of this ages ago? Finally, some fucking peace and quiet.

author interview tag game
thank you for the tag, @pandora15! <3
Name: caroline
Fandoms: mostly the clone wars, but i also have some marvel stuff, and waaay back in the day, i wrote some doctor who and merlin stuff!
Where you post: primarily on ao3! i mostly just write on tumblr when i’m accepting prompts from like...ask games or something.
Most Popular Oneshot: real
Most Popular Multichap: to these memories (this fic only recently hit 1k kudos, and my heart?? w h a t)
Favorite Story You’ve Written: def. to these memories because a) longest fic i’ve ever written, and b) oh, the hours i logged into writing this fic, and c) oh, the outlining that went into this fic...i’m very proud of myself for completing the fic, and of course, i credit this to everyone who showed their lovely support for the story. :’)
Fic You Were Nervous to Post: uhhh definitely too far just because it’s...rather personal. i sometimes say that there’ll be a scene or two or just straight up a line or two that’s plucked out of my real life, and i think it’s inevitable for writers of any kind, including fic writers, to isolate their real lives completely from whatever they’re writing, and?? this fic is probably the most personal for me because of that. i remember kinda hem-hawwing about posting it, because i was like whoa, maybe this is a little too personal? but then i steeled myself and was like, “okay, well, would this have lifted my spirits when i needed a story like this??” and then decided to post it.
How you choose your titles: i def. toss and turn between titles! there’s a few fics of mine that are straight-up song lyrics (no surprise there), but to my surprise (as i was looking through my catalogue of fics just now), i realize that a lot of my fics are usually just words or two about what i think might have been extremely important to the story. (or captures the overall tone/theme of the story, anyways.)
Do you outline? for multi-chapter fics and relatively long one-shots with lots of moving parts, i’ll outline. but for shorter one-shots and prompts, i’ll usually just stick with the image that compelled me to write the prompt/one-shot in the first place! (and then kinda write around that.)
Complete: uhhhhh, i’m gonna answer relatively for all my clone wars fics, because in total, i have 74 completed fics. (make that...75, hopefully in a few minutes or hours!) but out of clone wars fics, i have 46 completed fics! (and again, hopefully 47 in a little while.) a part of me is lowkey hoping that i’ll get up to 100 total fics by the end of this year. a part of me highly doubts it, but given how much i was able to write over summer break, i’m...intruiged if i wind up somehow writing another twenty or so fics by the end of this year. (asfsf my wip list is long enough to fill in for another twenty fics. caroline finish all your wips challenge.)
In Progress: okay, so officially, time, wondrous time is in progress and online. but in terms of the works in progress on my laptop...i have...*mutters, counting* fourteen official wips. (ten of them are one-shots, and the other four are longform fics. one of them, i’m hoping to release next week (!!!), and another, i’m hoping to release hopefully around mid-december. uhhh so fingers crossed??)
Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: oops, i guess i kinda already answered that question, but eh, might as well! the one coming out next week (hopefully!! caroline get your shit together challenge!!) is titled most ardently, and it’s an obitine au based off pride & prejudice because i cannot and will not shut up about obitine being the period drama ship out of star wars okay--
and then the other longform fic that is very overdue is called getting lost in a big galaxy, which is a fix-it of sorts taking place after season 5. anakin’s gone missing, and obi-wan winds up going on a galaxy-ride road trip with ahsoka (who, remember, has left the order) to find their idiot. this is honestly my excuse to just write more obi-wan and ahsoka content. hopefully, that’ll be posted in december!! (despite the fact i...originally meant to post it in august oOps.)
and then there’s this other longform fic which...might be coming in early 2021 called red, underlined, which is essentially...uh. everyone’s a stressed out law-school student, and anakin might have accidentally murdered professor palpatine, and now anakin, obi-wan, ahsoka, padme, and rex are all trying to find out what the hell to do with themselves because they’re all in on it. (def. influenced by how to get away with murder except without the criminal justice professor to lead them through the ropes. so more chaos. kind of a dark comedy vibe, if anything else? anakin no is major theme in this one. uh, i mean, maybe anakin was justified in murdering creep palpatine because our gang’s gonna find out what was going on in the background, but either way! lots of “holy shit are we good people are we bad people what are we doing”. lots of questions about morality! ethics! law school student study nights with anakin sprawled out on the floor and obi-wan wearing glasses (which he pushes up the bridge of his nose whenever he’s about to lecture anakin that no, that’s not how that statute works, dumbass) and ahsoka just bringing snacks and rex catching paper airplanes and padme being the one to supply everyone with very neat flashcards. this fic is gonna be an absolute beheamoth, and i’m estimating about 45 chapters? like...130K+ words? help? yeah idk either this really blew up in my head
and then...this stupid, wonderful, boring, amazing job, which is...office x tcw au. only not? it’s very, very loosely based off the office, but not really. obi-wan moves in as a new manager of a company, and we’ve got anakin being like “lol new guy i’m gonna mess with him”, and ahsoka being the one who’s both like “please don’t mess with our new boss” but also being like “actually, wait, lemme help”, rex being in hr and being like “i don’t get paid enough for this”. (also there’s some parts that are written like actual interviews like you would find in the office, so there’s this one bit where uhhh
Obi-Wan flicks his eyes to the cameras in silent question before turning back to Ahsoka. “Well, if you need to call maintenance, then I hardly think you need my permission—”
“Thanks!” Ahsoka says quickly, and she’s about to disappear from the doorway when Obi-Wan stands up.
“Wait, Ahsoka, what exactly—”
Ahsoka re-appears at the doorway. “Oh, right,” she says. “Um—maybe just stay away from the men’s bathroom for a little bit.” She pauses.
“Actually, just stay away from them for the rest of the day.” She hovers by the door for a minute longer, and then she adds quickly, “And maybe also avoid the breakroom. Everything’s fine!”
And with a perfectly not-fine smile, Ahsoka disappears from the doorway.
Obi-Wan stares at where Ahsoka was just a moment ago, and the he turns to the cameras in disbelief. “Did she just—” Unable to finish his own sentence, Obi-Wan starts out the door. “Ahsoka?”
The camera follows Obi-Wan out of the conference room and into the breakroom. There are only muffled shouts—Anakin’s shouts, and then Rex’s, and then Ahsoka’s frantic “no, sorry, everything’s fine!”, and then Obi-Wan’s loud, “What is going on in here?”
surprise y’all just got a snippet i’m sorry can you tell i’m weirdly into this au?? i need to rewrite some scenes but uh there you go
Prompts: for the most part, yes! i have some stuff in my faq about prompts that i’ll probably turn down (mostly anything that’s...above a certain rating/really, realy heavy themes that i just don’t think i can tackle with justice or with enough education on my end). i can be a little slow with prompts, but i’ll get to all of them in time!
Upcoming Work You’re Most Excited About: uhhhh i have too many that i’m excited about. literally i can write a mini essay on every single one of the fics i’m working on? but uhhh i guess since i already talked about all my major longform fics above (asdfasdfsd didn’t mean to do that, i’m so sorry for everyone who had to scroll past that word-vomit), i guess the one i’m most excited about releasing is the post season 7 obi-wan-and-ahsoka-finally-talk-about-how-they-miss-each-other-also-sorry-for-fighting-with-you-i-know-you-were-just-trying-your-best fic. (not a whole ton of spoilers for this one, but uh. i’m looking at some of these scenes and making frustrated sounds because there’s this one particular instance where i’m like, ahsoka. ahsoka just talk to him just ta lk to him but then lol no talking :)) also maybe some h/c? lowkey sickfic might be involved in this somehow? might have accidentally served as a precursor to to these memories? help? this fic just ballooned. caroline keep your ideas contained challenge!)

Whitmore Guy - Martha
Tumblr media
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four
Kai Parker x fem!Reader slowburn
whatever gifs I’m going to use on this one, I hope the creators are okay with that
word count: 3612
warnings: none
music: offspring - the kids aren’t alright, blink-182 - home is such a lonely place
Y/N was staring at him without realizing it. If only she knew how easy it was, she would be horrified. She would have goosebumps all the way from her pretty head to her little toes, and she would form a perfect line on her mouth as she clenched her teeth so hard it hurt her canines. The beauty of oblivion is that you’re… oblivious. He couldn’t really figure if the feeling of almost grasping, almost realizing, almost suffering, was good on her or not. He hoped he would find out soon enough to manage to fix her if anything. Just the way she’d fixed him.
Y/N’s been staring at Mal, whose last name, as she learnt from his file, which inevitable went through her, as she was the college filing dumpster, - Osbourne. How cool is that? his eyes said to her when she looked up to nod with amazement. Mal Osbourne, the IT guy at Whitmore. He joked that Hoppus was too rare, and Swayze made him feel sad, so he chose Osbourne. Turned out he changed his name when he got of age, because he hated his family or something like that. That was the only thing he was uneasy to talk about. Mal didn’t say what his family name was before, and she didn’t press. She was still torn between investigating and being painfully disinterested in other people’s drama.
Mal was biting his lower lip busily as he punched the vending machine again. The soda can got stuck in between the springs and the glass, and he turned, flustered, to give her a look. Y/N shook her head in empathy. They shared passion for Dr Pepper, and this one can has been stuck there for the whole morning. It being Wednesday, an official mid-day of the week when you’re already tired, but not tired enough to give up completely, they invented the watch. Every fifteen minutes one of them was visiting this very vending machine to see if the can has fallen through yet. She was replacing him now, and Mal welcomed her with a grunt.
“Can’t believe not a single person came and tried to get it out”.
“Maybe they know”, Y/N examined the lit insides of the machine. Dr Pepper was tightly propped against the glass, its dark red tin can dented a little.
“How the fuck did she even get in there…” Mal muttered under his breath. She could not believe this grown man’s dedication to a tin can. “I mean, what’s the story behind it? Why did you do this to me, Y/N? It’s almost two in the afternoon, and all I’ve been thinking about today is this goddamn Dr Pepper”.
She bumped her fist on the machine really hard, and somebody jumped while passing them. A couple of concerned glances shot at their backs.
“It moved!” he almost yelled. “Bang it, and I’m gonna shake it”.
So, they assaulted the vending machine, putting a stop to their patient watch that lasted for nearly five hours. Her hand was sore pretty soon, from the bumping, but as Mal leaned back and shook the monstrous machine, all the items came into movement. A couple of packs of crisps fell out of the slots.
“Bonus points!” Mal shrilled. Dr Pepper was almost out.
Y/N puffed.
“Now, you bang, and I’ll shake”.
“That’s what she said”, Mal replied knowingly, letting her swap places with him.
Their hard work paid off, and in couple of minutes they were running heads first into the basement, hands full of crisps and soda. And that was Wednesday.
Tumblr media
Thursday was long and tedious, because a second year student has broken her leg AND lost the keys from her car all in the same evening, and she had a mental breakdown. The hospital seemed to have a problem finding her insurance, and the insurance company refused to pay for the services of the guys who came to open her car for her and accidentally took of one of the doors; Professor Atkins, teacher of chemistry which the girl was specializing in, refused to believe the whole story although t was blatantly true, in spite of being utterly stupid; Y/N was running like a remote control car with five wheels between the insurance office, hospital and college; at six in the evening she realized it was already the twenty-fifth of May, and she still didn’t have a plan for Caroline’s party. At six forty-five she was crying in her office, her head in her hands, but her tears were not tears of a defeated person. She was very angry and couldn’t scream so she just sobbed all the nonsense away. She really hated Thursdays in general, too.
At six fifty there was a knock on her door, and she moaned, sensing, rather like an animal, that her salvation and relief has come.
“Dude”, she howled. Mal’s head penetrated the space of her office.
“If I’d known you’re falling apart, I would’ve brought a gun, not a coffee”, he said in his ever joyful voice, full of undetectable mockery.
He slid into the armchair and watched Y/N as she grabbed the cup and started drinking.
“Don’t choke. You called me, m’fair lady? What’s up with the party I never heard of?”
She nodded.
“Exactly. I forgot about this party like four times. I need you to help me. You never seem to go home or have personal life, so”.
Mal pouted, as if admitting the heavy truth.
“IT sphere… you know, it’s a lot of work. All the buttons that don’t glow… and the websites that have been blocked… deleted reports”, he scowled, “are the worst. So much pain and suffering in this place, it’s unbearable. I crack every day, too”.
He looked at Y/N almost tenderly. These looks usually made her question her sanity. Sometimes it felt like he was Alex, the name, the tattoo on her right forearm in thick, black letters. She took two more big sips and decided solid that she’d tell Mal about him. Share that and see how he feels about that. Mal’s been nothing but great help these last weeks, and they bonded, and Y/N realized that part of her nervous strain was due to this new mysterious character, almost a time bomb, smirking at her kindly across the table they lunched at. But at least that was positive hysterical energy.
“I kind of accused you of lying about having a girl, Mal. Just now”.
He gasped. His ringed fingers interlocked together on his stomach. He put up his foot which indicated he was getting comfortable, as if to listen to a story.
“Ah. You meant that. That I can help you with the party you irresponsibly forgot about four times, because I don’t have anything better to do anyway, because I don’t have a girlfriend I’d claimed I had”.
She just nodded, sucking on her coffee like a thirst victim.
“That’s a… that’s a very sad story”, he scratched his right brow as his eyes shot somewhere above her ear, out of the window. He was daydreaming. His glance was calm, while his body started saying he was nervous.
“And you already seem pretty sad, so…”
“Go on. Distract me, please. And I’ll tell you a sad story, too. Let’s see who’s gonna kick ass in being sadder”.
Mal shuddered with a light burst of laughter. This, too. His sudden flashes of humor, when he laughed at things people usually don’t laugh at. And still, he was seemingly worth it.
“Okay. So, I dated this girl, Martha Hopps”.
“Martha Hoppus?”
He let out a clattering sound he made with his tongue that Y/N couldn’t understand the physics of.
“No, her last name is Hopps. She uh… moved to Mystic Falls. That’s kind of why I came here. I tried to land a job in the town, but nobody needed an IT specialist there, so I went for the closest place, which is”, he motioned towards Y/N as if suggesting her own office.
“You said, dated?”
“Yeah. But, I mean, I’m still in love with her. Obviously, otherwise, I wouldn’t be here”.
There was a change in Mal. Just as he started talking about the girl, his eyes went down, and Y/N couldn’t see the dark pupils anymore. His hands were rubbing each other, patting fingers, and he tilted his head. Y/N unintentionally felt her long-abandoned maternal instinct, kicking its way through her stomach like a crazed lion riding a tractor – for in front of her there sat a boy. His forehead was marked with three distinct, and somehow cute, sharp kisses of puberty; his skin was in need of sunlight, pale like milk, but soft; his boyish demeanor, the shirt with Van Halen logo, and a tacky bracelet on his left wrist – all that was a part of his pattern. He was suddenly fragile, like a petal.
“Her family… uh, they decided that I wasn’t worth her”, Mal looked up bravely, and Y/N withstood it.
“They separated us. Even before I could actually… you know, lay off my plans for the future, marrying and stuff maybe, you know?”
“What do you mean – separated?”
“Well, they brainwashed her big time. Her family together with friends, they are all kind of… religious fanatics”.
“Wait, Hopps, you say? Mystic Falls is a small town, I think I would remember a family of fanatics…”
She shuddered at the memory of that insane coven that was raging in the town five years ago. She couldn’t actually remember how they dealt with them; only that those were first class supernatural terrorists, witches bound on idea to kill all ‘abominations’ and release humans of Mystic Falls…
Mal shrugged indifferently.
“They moved in recently. I followed them. We met in uh, Ohio, that’s where I come from. Her father was like, you’re toxic to her. We wish you were never born. Whoosh. Next thing I know, she doesn’t talk to me. At first it’s like, Mal, I question your beliefs. Then, Mal, I think you’re cheating on me. I’m like, who told you that? Stupid, you’re the woman of my whole century. She’s like, my family knows. She…” he sucked the air through his teeth, “I think she loved me less that I loved her, you know? Sometimes it happens. She had to choose, and she chose them. Plus, there was so much whispering along the way, Jesus. The things they were telling her about me”.
Y/N felt she was swaying while sitting in her chair.
“God, why would they do that? You’re so cute”.
“I know, right?!” he exclaimed, feeling the connection. “It’s a case of… I suppose… loathing out of principle. I did one…” he licked his lips, staring absently through her desk. His finger froze in the air indicating the number One. “Maybe two bad things, and they’re like, that’s it! You’re going down, we’re going away, you’ll never see her again”.
Caffeine started to kick in, and Y/N found herself fixing her hair in abrupt movements.
“Well? And then?”
“And then they cut us in two”.
They both paused for a moment.
“What two bad things did you do?”
Mal sighed.
“I mean, no one’s perfect, right?”
“Oh god”, Y/N slapped the surface of her desk as the poisonous realization started to crawl into her brain. “Oh god, please, no. Please, Mal, tell me you’re not an obsessive psycho who’s been stalking a girl and beating people and saw nothing wrong with it”.
“Oh my god”, his pretty face grimaced, “Jesus, Y/N, I meant I stole her dad’s car once, and then I lied about my age! What… what kind of people do you hang out with?”
She wondered if he was having fun inside. This man, this pretty picture, was ineffable. He seemed to be saying exactly the kinds of things she wanted to hear. People, a wise man once said, were way worse than monsters. Monsters, beasts of the night, have a purpose. They have a code. People, on the other hand, are completely crazy.
“But you do look like a… like there’s a little doorbell in your head that goes off constantly… like you kill pets for fun…”
Mal stood up, lifting himself with both hands.
“Screw you, Y/N”.
She jumped.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Mal”, she ran around her desk, trying to catch him as he walked out of her office. She clutched the hem of his shirt and scratched the skin on his shoulder with her nails by accident. Mal hissed in pain, but stopped. She had that weird sensation again, like a light zip coming through her body when she touched him. It wasn’t painful, didn’t bother her, but it was curious. That happened for the second time already, but they’ve been contacting hand to hand for weeks now. Passing each other things, patting on the shoulder, shaking hands in sealing the deals about cans of sodas…
He looked at Y/N like she was betraying all the laws in the world. His eyes were beaming warnings, but deep inside, there was also this frail shade of cold that unnerved her way more. She couldn’t tell if she believed even a single word he said. The guy often acted like a sociopath. His sudden outbursts of laughter, his trust in her that was childish if not alarming, and these stories. And yet, she wouldn’t let go of his shirt, until he shrugged her hand of, though, thankfully, pretty gently.
“You don’t believe me. You think I’m making this all up”.
“That’s exactly what a manipulator would say”, she blurted, and grabbed him by the fabric of his shirt again, just in case. The knuckles of her fingers perceived the warmth of his body. “Prove she exists, and I’ll get on board with you, and I’ll do anything to help you get Marta Hoppus back”.
“Hopps”.
“Right”.
“Bringing you coffee was a mistake. Your eyes a rolling”.
Mal stepped away and took out his phone from the back pocket of his jeans.
“I meant to delete all, but I kept one picture of us, just in case”.
He stalled for a second before giving her the phone, like he was afraid to entrust her a treasure he’s been keeping. Y/N looked at the screen and saw Mal, smiling like he was a normal, happy guy, with a young girlfriend in his arms. He held her tight, with both arms. They took a picture in a big mirror, somewhere at a mall. She was kissing his cheek while managing to look in the mirror, too, and Y/N could see her face.
No, she’s never met that person, but the photograph was it.
“It was taken last year”, Mal said, as if reading her mind, “in Seattle. We were travelling”.
“I’m from Seattle”, Y/N said, absently.
She’s just realized she hadn’t been afraid Martha Hopps was not real; she had hoped for that.
“Dude”, she gave his phone back to him. Mal was watching her carefully. “If you love her, you have to fight. But I still can’t grasp the whole idea of them moving her from Ohio to… here”.
He scratched his head and gave the empty corridor a wandering look.
“Well, I’ve… you said yourself I’m a sophisticated guy…”
“I never said you were sophisticated, I said you’re weird”.
“Same thing. I may have a thing”.
“What thing?” she narrowed her eyes.
“I may have been diagnosed with ASPD back in the day”.
“I knew it!” her triumphant shriek was so sudden, Y/N dumbfounded herself a little.
“To be honest, I’m impressed you detected me in, like, twenty days”, Mal nodded, “people usually only see what the want to see”.
“I have a thing for serial killers”, she brushed it off with her hand, ignoring Mal’s fainting smile.
“Oh, Y/N, why does it always have to be that extreme with you. This guy never killed anybody, ever, in his life”.
“What will you do with her family when you get to her?”
Mal shrugged.
“I already got to her. I found her. I guess now you can call me a stalker. I don’t do creepy stuff”, he added, before she could open her mouth, “but she still doesn’t know her ex-boyfriend is here. Wanting to get her back very much. I don’t know. What would you do to people who took away the love of your life from you? Deceiving you both in the process?”
Mal was the kind of person you could tell practically anything. The man could take a joke and keep a secret. Now, though, as she started seeing him as a person with pretence instead feelings, that was all presented in slightly different light. Him being friendly to everybody, charming people the second he saw them, was his mechanism of infiltrating the community. Him sticking with Y/N and befriending her at first sight may have been his method of imitating social life and learn to cope. Even use her, maybe. He’s been living here for some time, with virtually no interest for the place itself, with the sole reason to be close to Martha Hopps; and he treated the whole IT thing like a joke. He was indisputably good at what he was doing; Y/N could see him run across these halls all day long, without a tired sigh; but this perfection in his performance was what must make one suspicious. He always ate at the same time, every day, and understood every joke and said all the right things.
The look he was giving her said cold. His brain was derived of emotion, and to think that this person could be loving someone was close to fantasizing. Y/N recalled the boy in her armchair, minutes earlier, hurt by the memories.
“I would tear them apart”, Y/N said. “If somebody took away the thing I love the most, I would tear them apart, limb from limb. But they’re her family, Mal”.
“So?”
“So, there are, you know, types of people to kill…”
His eyes narrowed.
“Wait. You’re talking seriously now? About tearing them apart?”
“God, well, I’m telling you the one hundred percent. Of course, in reality, you do less. But anyway, there are different types of close people. You can get away with separating your loved one from one type, but not from another”.
“I don’t get it”.
They started walking slowly down the corridor. Y/N couldn’t really tell where they’re going until she saw a vending machine prepped against the wall, and noticed Mal slide his hand into his pocket. He was hungry again.
“Say, you come to their house where they live now, and you choke them all. Theoretically. You don’t really have a right to choke people”.
“I know that, Y/N. I’m a bit sociopathic, much better than I used to be, by the way. It’s far from spree killing”.
“Yes, well, and what then? Where do you go from there? She may still love you, say, you talk everything out, and she realized that they had tricked her into breaking up with you. But even if you move on, go to another state, buy a house and live there, get married. You’ll always be the guy who killed her family”.
He stood at the machine, looking at the rows of packs. His face was highlighted by the pale light from the inside of the glass. Outside, the sky took on an orange shade of the closing sunset. She won’t get to it once again.
“And you think that’s fair. That you should just let it slide, all the things they out of hatred. You know, I’ve had a lot of that when I was a kid. I was always the bad child in the family”.
He put the coin in and pushed a button. Y/N couldn’t even watch the string spinning slowly, she was focused on Mal and what he does next. The cold shiver of realization went through her body. If he’s violent; if he’s aggressive; if he’s pretending to be her friend, all this trauma right now may make him act out. And Damon just won’t manage to run in here on time. She didn’t even have a pencil with her in case she had to protect herself. Y/N looked at his hands, lean, strong and pale, fingers, long and dexterous. Mal always touched and held things sturdily, to make sure they won’t escape his grasp. He never dropped anything and never made mistakes.
“You? You’re the bad child?”
“Uh-huh, I had this sister, she wa- she’s my twin. I say ‘was’ usually, because I haven’t spoken to her in years. She was better at everything. Better at school, at doing the chores, at turning on the TV, talking to people, understanding things. Feeling things. She was the good one, and I was always the defective brother”.
“Don’t say that”, Y/N snapped. Mal looked at her, surprised, and then squatted a little to get his pack of chips out.
“You know they were wrong, right? You’re a big guy now, you’re an adult. You must understand why adults do all that. You’re spared of fear they must have experienced”.
“That’s a good point. But it doesn’t help to know that. I still have hard time dealing with… crazy families. We’re going to the basement?”
“Why?”
“I have my speakers there, and we can make a playlist”.
“Right”.
Walking past the windows, they looked outside, at the orange sky.
“Tomorrow’s gonna rain”, Mal said. He tore the pack open with a loud rustling. “You want some?”
Y/N looked inside.
“I’m gonna puke if I put anything else in my mouth today”.
“That’s what she said”, Mal commented gravely.

The Anchor part 2
[part -- 1 ]      [Part -- 3 ]    [Part -- 4 ]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4,166 words yall I didn't mean for it to be this long
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ( Y/n POV )
I turned around, seeing Elena and Caroline staring at Jeremy and I. Then I saw what they were staring at my hand was still on Jeremys. I pulled my hand away from Jeremys. "Sorry." I said quietly. "There's no need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong." Jeremy said. I looked back to see Elena and Caroline still staring at me. "Are they making you uncomfortable?" Jeremy asked looking at me then the girls. I was about to reply but Matt texted me. "I'm sorry I got to go get Matt. Do you need me to take you home or are you going with Elena?" I asked getting up and grabbing my jacket and bag. I laid the money for my meal and stuff on the table. "Its alright. Elena is taking me home but thanks for the ride over." Jeremy said hugging me.
( 3rd POV )
Y/n walked out to her truck. She drove to the school since practice was over. She got out and looked for Matt. She walked to the football field and Saw Matt and Tyler talking. "Hey Matt." Y/n said making her presents known. "Hey, (Your nickname)." Tyler greeted with a small wave and smile.  "Hey, Ty." Y/n replied with polite smile. "So Matty, Are you ready?" Y/n asked messing with the keys in her hand. "Yeah we have to give Tyler a ride home so I'm driving and your in the middle." Matt Said taking the keys out of his older sisters hand. "Okay." y/n replied with ease.  Tyler and Matt looked at each other with shock. Usually Y/n with fuss and groan. -She didn't really  seem to care for Tyler too much. He was nice sometimes, but other times he can be an asshole.  They all walked to the truck, but unlike what they thought Y/n jumped into the bed of the truck and sat down, a satisficed smile on her face as she sat down leaning her back on the cab of the truck. "Your unbelievable." Matt said getting in the truck with Tyler following suit.
The ride back was fine. Y/n liked riding on the back of the pickup. It made her feel normal. Other than seeing ghost all the freakin' time. They pulled up at Matt and Y/n's House which confused her but she got up and jumped off the bed of the truck. She walked up to the door and Unlocked the door. She walked to her room and sat down at her bed. She started to do her homework, Until Someone interrupted. TYLER. . . .
"Tyler What can I help you with?" I asked as I got off my bed and put my homework off my bed and on my desk. "Well I wanted to know if I could take up out to dinner sometime?  I asked Matt and he said he didn't care. So what do you say?" Tyler asked very hopeful.
- Its not that she didn't like Tyler, she just felt like he only wanted her for Sex or to make someone Jealous.  "Fine." I said as I laid on my bed. "So tomorrow after the game, I'll take you to the grill?" Tyler asked with a slight smile. "Yes I will see you tomorrow at school. I'll be at the game since my Brother play. So after the game is over you can take me out." She explained with a smile. Tyler nodded with a smile. "Alright, see you tomorrow." Tyler said leaving  with a smile. After I talked to Tyler I laid back on my bed and started to do my homework. After hours of torcher I finally finished.  I put my homework in my bookbag and got a shower.  After my shower I  got dressed In my PJs, did my night time routine and then went to bed. '~~~~~~~~' The next morning y/n woke up to her alarm clock ringing. With a groan she rolled over and hit the snooze button. She laid on the bed trying to go back to sleep, but it didn't work. It rung again and she  cut it off and went to my closet. She got dressed wearing a black V-neck t shirt, Black skinny jeans, her converses and her jean jacket. After she got dressed she washed her face and brushed her teeth. Then braided her hair into a Dutch braid. She smiled after she was done, she grabbed her  phone, charger, and bookbag with all her school work and papers, then went down stairs to get her breakfast.
"Moring (Your eye color)." Matt said mentioning (Eye color) eyes. y/n smiled grabbing a apple from the small yellow bowl off the table. "Morning Matty." Y/n  replied taking a bite of the sweet apple, sitting at the table as he fixed his food.  "So what do you have practice tonight?" Matt nodded as he took his eggs out of the pan, putting them on the glass plate. "Yeah, I do. I also have a game tonight, so you have to be there." Matt said looking Y/n with a stern look. "Fine." I said with a smile. "So how are you? You know since Vikki left?" Matt asked looking at y/n with a concerned look while starting on his eggs.  "I'm okay." She lied. -I'm not okay honestly. How can you be okay if you don't even know what happen to your sister?  How can I be okay when I seen my only sister and she told you she was dead? How do you tell your brother your sisters dead? "Really? Look I know its hard with her leaving and stuff, but you should move on. You know, maybe she didn't want to be here. I mean look at mom, she left us, she hasn't came back in a long time too. She'll show back up eventually." Matt said looking at his little sister with a sad smile. Y/n looked at her brother as tears formed in her eyes. "I miss her, Matty." Y/n said honestly.
She hated crying, she truly did. She always thought she had to be strong. She always thought she had to put on a show, instead of showing what she was really feeling. . sad. Like all the time. Which is why she turned to drugs when Vikki was there. (And if she's gonna be honest she still did drugs. She just didn't tell Matt that). She thought the drugs would make her feeling better, and they did. They made her feel happy. The only time she was happy without the drugs was with Jeremy, and that was if he wasn't chasing Vikki around like a lost puppy.
Matt nodded as he pulled his sister into a hug. "Its alright. I miss her too. " He said as he held her. He felt horrible that he couldn't say when Vikki would be back. He knew Y/n and Vikki were close. They worked together and hung out together, even though they were a couple years age difference between the two sisters. "Everything's gonna be alright, She'll be back once she get hungry."  Matt said with a chuckle, making y/n sniff and giggle. "She's never going too far. She loves me too much." Y/n scoffed hitting her brother on her shoulder. "You too I guess." He joked as she pulled back from him.
"Okay, I know we're having a Brother sister moment, but if we don't go to school we'll be late." Matt said as he pulled away, giving his baby sister a smile. "Yeah, I cant be late anymore. They told me if was that id go to ISS (in school suspension, if yall didn't know)." Y/n said as she looked at her brother. "We just started school a month ago." Matt said looking at Y/n shocked. "How?" He questioned as he grabbed his bookbag. "Well, Jeremy and I skipped school for a little while." She mumbled as she looked down at her feet. "What were you and Jeremy doing for that little while?!" Matt raised his voice, getting into older protective brother mode. "Nothing too bad. We went out to the falls and hung out. Drank some beer, talked, may or may not have took some stuff Vikki gave us, but I promise it was only like twice." Y/n said looking at her brother. "I thought you said you stopped." Matt said looking at his sister. "I have, that was literally at the beginning of school." Y/n answered her brother with a innocent smile. "I cant deal with you." Matt said shaking his head with a smile. "Lets go, punk." He said grabbing the keys from the table. Y/N nodded throwing the apple core into the trash. She grabbed her book bag and followed Matt out to the truck.
Once they got into the truck they made their way to the school. It was a comfortable silence as they drove 15 minutes down the road to the school. Once they got there they went their separate ways. Y/n went to find Jeremy and Matt was going to find Tyler. She walked out of the car lot and to the tall oak tree in the front, right where she seen Jeremy sitting by himself on his phone.
"Hey Jeremy." Y/n said sitting down beside him. "Hey Y/n." He said with a smile, putting his phone down. "How are you?" Y/n asked with a smile sitting her book bag in the table beside them. "I'm alright, have you stopped?" He asked looking at Y/n with a knowing look. "The drugs?" Y/n whispered looking at him confused. He nodded looking at her with a worried look. "Yeah, I've stopped so far. I've been trying to stay strong. I don't know how you do it." Y/n said with a chuckled shaking her head. "I don't know, but if you need someone. I'm here for you. You know that right?" He asked looking at her with a smile. "Yeah, I know." She said giving him a friendly smile. "We better get going if we don't want to be late for class." Y/n said as she heard the bell ring. Jeremy nodded grabbing his book bag. Y/n grabbed hers and the two walked to their classes.
Later on that day Y/n walked out of the school with her bookbag looking for Matt. She needed the truck keys that he had. So she walked out to the football field where he and a few other guys off the football team were talking. She  walked over to them and stood quietly while they talked. She was different from matt. She was more quiet and a bit introvert then matt. Sure he was quiet at times, but she was actually really quiet compared to him. She was more to herself then him.
Once Matt was done talking to the guys he, Tyler and I started talking. "How was practice?" Y/n asked as she leaned against the bleachers. "It was good, did you know Elenas boyfriend did football?" Tyler asked looking at Y/n with a shocked looking before looking over at Matt. "Yeah, I seen him in the court yard the other day. Quite an arm he has on him." Y/n said with an nod. "Any way, the game isn't for a while and I want to go home before the game. So are you going home with me or what?" Matt asked looking at Y/n. "I was planning on going to the Grill right after I came to you." Y/n spoke looking at her brother. "Well, you can go. If you want I can drop you off." Matt offered looking at Y/n. "Alright." Y/n said looking at him with an nod. "But you have to be at the game where I can see you. Remember what happen last time?" He said looking at Y/n with a smirk. "What happen last time?" Tyler asked looking at the two Donovan's.
"The last game, My poor, sweet, baby sister decided to she was going to take the truck on a little ride with a few of her friends." Matt said looking at Tyler and then to Y/n. "That doesn't seem so bad." Tyler spoke looking at Matt with unsure face. "Well, when they go a couple hours away and decided they wanted to get drunk that's something different. Y/n looked at her brother and rolled her eyes. "No, that's what Vikki told you. Tyler you were there. You were drunk, but there.  It was literally, Vikki, Jeremy, Tyler, Sarah and me. We went out to the falls which is thirty minutes away. I was sober and I was making sure nobody was not going to have alcohol poisoning." Y/n said looking at Matt with a serious look. "Oh right. Your right. I remember I busted that party. Yeah I remember when I got there you had left. You had took Jeremy home and Vikki was there with Tyler drunk." Matt said with a nod. "I don't remember this." Tyler said looking at Y/n with a serious look. "Man, you were well beyond drunk." Y/n said looking at Tyler with a laugh. He gave Y/n a flirty smile and Y/n blushed.
"Lets go. I need a shower." Matt said looking at Y/n and Tyler. "Oh, I didn't know Tyler was coming." Y/n spoke as they started walking to the truck. "Yeah, I thought I told you." Matt said as he and Tyler threw their football stuff in the bed of the truck. "No, you didn't." Y/n said as she got in the middle seat of the truck. "Well, you know now, princess." Tyler said with a smile. "I'm not a princess." Y/n said looking at Tyler with a smirk. "What are you then?" He asked looking at her as she smiled. "A mother fucking queen." She said making Matt and Tyler laugh. "Okay, Queen Y/n." Tyler said with a smile.
After a few minutes Matt and Tyler dropped Y/n off at the grill. She sat in one of the empty booths and ordered her food. As she was enjoying her food she seen someone walk up to her. Looking at them she seen Stefan standing there with a smile. "Hey, Y/n." Stefan said with a friendly smile. "Hi, Stefan, right?" Y/n asked looking at Elenas new boyfriend. "Yeah, may I join you?" He asked pointing to the empty seat in front of her. She nodded with a friendly smile. "Go ahead." She said with a polite smile.
After a few minutes of casual small talk Stefan slowly brought up Vikki. "So I heard you saw Vikki, How is she?" Stefan asked taking a sip of his soda. "She's umm. . She's fine." Y/n lied not making contact before she took a sip of her drink. She honestly didn't want to tell Stefan her sister was dead, before she had told her own brother. "I feel like your lying." He said lowly as he leaned forwards. Y/n looked at him with a confused look. "Well, I'm not. I don't mean to be rude, but I need to get back to the school. Matt dropped me off so I need to be going." Y/n said putting some money to cover her food and tip onto the table. "Nice, talking to you Stefan." She said as she started to walk out the door.
Y/n walked out the door and was starting to walk through the parking lot when Stefan called out her name. "Y/n, do you want me to give you a ride? I have to be there too. I'm playing tonight." Stefan offered pointing to his red ford sports car. "Sure, Thanks." She said with a small smile.
The ride to the school was quiet between the two. Y/n planed on telling Matt about Vikki tonight after the game. She couldn't  deal with not letting him Know. They pulled up to the school. "Thanks for the ride Stefan, Good luck with the game." Y/n said getting as they went different ways. "Thanks, if you hear from Vikki let me know." He said looking at Y/n. She looked at him confused as she started to speak. "Not to be rude, but Stefan why do you want to know about Vikki? Did you know her?" Y/n asked just out of curiosity, not even in a rude way. "She seemed nice, and I just seen where she disappeared out of nowhere. I just know she doesn't seem like that type of person." Stefan said looking at Y/n with a concerned look. "Oh, well I'll let you know if anyone has spoke to her." Y/n said with a nod going to find a good spot for the barn fire that they do before the game.
At the end of the game when everyone was leaving She found Matt and was on their way to the truck when she heard Jeremy yelling. Her and Matt ran over to the yelling and saw Tyler and Jeremy fighting. "Are you wasted?" Tyler asked looking at Jeremy? Jeremy got made and shoved Tyler then the two started fighting. That's when Jeremy picked up a broken glass bottle and went to hit Tyler with it. But Stefan stopped him. It looked like it would have cut his hand. "Y/n, Matt can you take Jeremy home for me?" Elena asked looking at Y/n and Matt. "Sure." Y/n said quickly going up to Jeremy and grabbed his hand. "Your gonna help the drug addict?" Tyler asked looking at Y/n. "I guess it takes one to know one." Tyler said looking at Y/n. Y/n let go of Jeremy's hand and went over to Tyler. She looked him in the eye and smiled. Then she took her hand and punched him straight in the jaw, hard enough it made him stumble backwards. "next time you say something about me. I swear you better have life insurance." Y/n threaten as she grabbed Jeremys hand and walked to the truck. matt decided he was going to be riding home with Tyler in Tyler's car.
"I cant believe you punched him." Jeremy laughed as Y/n got him into the truck. "I've been wanting to do that for a while." Y/n said with a smile. "Have you told them about Vikki?" Jeremy asked as Y/n got into the drivers seat. "No, but I'll tell him when I get home." Y/n said looking at Jeremy with a smile. "You know, you have really pretty eyes." Jeremy said looking at Y/ns (Your eye colors) eyes. "Your drunk, jer." Y/n said as she started the truck. "Its true. I knew it before I was drunk. You have always been pretty, even when we were little kids. I've always thought you were beautiful." Jeremy said with a smile. "I still think its the drunk you speaking." Y/n said as she started going down the highway. "I swear, I really do mean it. I like you. Like, Like you, Like you." He admitted truthfully. Y/n chuckled as she glanced over at him. "Tell me that when your sober." Y/n said with a smile.
 - She likes him to, but she just didn't want him just to be saying that because he was drunk. If he was really into her, then she wants him to mean it. Y/n looked at him and smile as she pulled into their drive way. "You're home, jer." Y/n said as she looked at Jeremy who was just staring outside of the truck. "Will you walk me in?" Jeremy asked looking at Y/n with a smile. She nodded with a smile. "Yeah, come on." She said with a smile. He nodded as he opened the truck door. "Come on big guy." Y/n said as Jeremy started stumbling. Y/n giggled as she put his arm around hers and started walking to the house. She looked at him and sighed. "House keys." She said looking at Jeremy. "In my pocket." he said as he pulled them out of his front pockets. he handed them to Y/n as she still held onto him. She unlocked the door and put the keys into her pocket, continued to help him up to his room.
As she struggled to get the teenager that's bigger than her up the stairs to his room, she felt tired. "Jeremy, you need to take off your shoes before you get on the bed." She said as Jeremy started to lay on the bed. He huffed and sat up throwing his shoes off, putting them beside his bed. He laid up and the bed and sighed. "Thank you." he told her with a smile. She nodded as she smiled. "That's what a friend is for." She said as she sat beside him on the bed. "Will you stay with me? Just till I go asleep? I just don't want to be alone." Jeremy said as he started getting choked up. "Of course." she whispered. She stood up taking her shoes off and walked over to Jeremys draws. she grabbed one of his shirts and his sweat pants. She went to the bathroom and changed into them. When she went back into the room from changing Jeremy was in the bed with just sweat pants on and shirt less.
She pulled back the covers and laid right beside him. Jeremy faced her before he chuckled pulling her into him. "This brings back memories." Y/n said with a smile. "Good ones I hope." he said with a smile. "They are. It reminds me of when we were little when we did little sleep overs. We would just hang out and play video games." She said with a smile. "And we cuddled." He said with a smile. "yeah that too." Y/n said as she looked into his puppy brown eyes. He smiled looking into her eyes, then glanced at her lips then back to her eyes. "I really want to kiss you." he whispered. She nodded as she looked at him. She didn't say do or say anything but leaned forwards, giving him just a small kiss. "Goodnight." she said putting her head on his chest. "Goodnight." He said closing his eyes.
A couple hours later her phone rang. -Matt was calling her. "Hello?" She asked  lowly as she stepped out of the bedroom. "where are you at?!" Matt yelled at his sister. "I'm at Jeremys." She answered. "Well, you need to come home." he said with a strict voice. "Alright, I'm on my way." She huffed rolling her eyes. "See you when you get here." Matt said hanging up the phone. She walked back into Jeremys room writing him a small note. Telling him she would come by in the morning to check on him. She grabbed her clothes and changed back into them putting the clothes she wore back where they belong. She started going down the stairs when Elena walked in looking like she was freaking out.
"Elena, are you okay?" She asked quietly, not to wake anyone up. "Yeah, I'm fine. Is Jeremy in his room?" Elena asked. "Yeah, I got to go. Matt called me sounded a little mad." y/n said as she pointed out the door. "He just wants to make sure your safe I'm sure." Elena said looking at Y/n. Y/n nodded as she looked at Elena. "thank you for watching out for Jeremy. I appreciated it." Elena said hugging Y/n. "He is my best friend. Its my job." Y/n said with a smile.   So Y/n got in the truck and went back to her house. Where Matt and Tyler were talking on the front porch.  "What's wrong?" Matt asked looking at his sister. "Well you know how I believe I can see ghost." Y/n said as she sat on the porch swing. "Yes, but I really don't think you can see ghost I think its just your imagination." Matt said leaning against the wall beside Tyler. "Well anyway umm... Matt.... I saw Vikki." Y/n said quietly. "You saw Vikki?" Tyler said with a hopeful smile. "Yeah, But Matt Vikki died." Y/n said with a sad look on her face. "Your just think that (Your nickname, You probably just dreamed that or you strung up on more drugs.." Tyler said with all seriousness. He didn't want to believe that his Ex girlfriend was dead.
"But the thing is she really is dead. She was attacked I saw her she came to me and told me she was dead. She told me to look out for you. Because there was bad stuff in this town." Y/n tried to get them to believe her but the look on their faces told her all she needed to know. "Fine you don't have tp believe me." Y/n said getting off the tail gate and started to walk home. Ignoring the calls of Tyler and Matt who were calling her name. She didn't want them to tell her she was crazy that she was just imagining seeing Vikki.
She was walking when she felt someone grabbed her. Then everything went black...

Part 1  Part 9
I was sitting in class when Bonnie and our new teacher walked in. Bonnie was hunched over her looking scared. I barely listened to the teacher turning to look at her sitting in the back.
“You okay?” I mouth. She shrugs making me worried. “Talk at lunch?” I mouth again. She nods. Smiling I turn back to the front. “You may want to pronounce it Al Rick but it’s Alr ick. But you can call me Rick.” The teacher says. Raising my hand half the class turns to look at me. “Yes?” He asks gestering to me. “Can I call you Alrick, it sounds cooler than Rick.” Smiling he chuckles softly. “Sure, and you are?” “Octavia.” “Well it’s nice to meet you Octavia.” He says moving around his desk. “So today we are going to be learning about…”
At lunch I met Bonnie and Elena at a picnic table outside. “What’s wrong Bon Bon?” I ask sitting next to her. “I think I’m being haunted.” She says making me do a double take. “Haunted?” “Yeah I’ve been having dreams about my ancestor Emily. I woke up in the middle of the woods this morning.” “You don’t remember going there?” Elena asks. “No that’s my point. I’m scared.” “What does your grandma say?” “She’ll just say it’s because I’m a witch. To embrace it I don’t want to embrace it. I want it to stop.” “It’s always Emily? Never anyone else?” “No, she wore this necklace before me and it’s like she is trying to communicate threw it.” “Well maybe you should listen.” I say Elena smacking my arm. “That’s not a good idea.” “Why? She is taking you to the woods for a reason it might be a good idea to listen.” “Well I don’t want to hear what she has to say. She’s dead.” Bonnie says standing up. “I didn’t mean to upset you.” “You didn’t. I just don’t wanna talk about this anymore. I’ll see you later.” She says walking off. “Good job.” Elena says standing up. “Don’t get mad at me. She has powers for a reason.” I say getting my stuff. “How would you like it if you found out you were different from everyone?” “I would be happy. I would do something in my life, not just be forgotten in a decade after I die.” “O…” “Relax Elena. I’m not mad I just… Don’t get mad at me for everything that comes out of my mouth.” I say walking away from her to my next class. After school I walked outside Bonnie offering to take me and Elena home so she could talk to us some more about her dreams. I stopped when I see Damon holding the door to Bonnie’s car open for her. I haven’t talked to him since he told me why he killed Lexi. Granted he didn’t really tell me why he killed her. He had a plan? That didn’t mean it was okay to kill someone. It got everyone off our back but I don’t think they were on our back to begin with. “Octavia.” He says smirking at me. Taking a breath I walk around him not wanting to talk to him. I didn’t know what to say. “Giving me the silent treatment?” I stop but don’t say anything. “Still mad about me killing Lexi?” “I’m not mad… I’m just..confused.” “Confused about what?” He asks standing in front of me, a smirk still on his face. Sighing I open the car door and get in the backseat. He grabs the door before I can close it. “Remember Octavia. I’m not the good guy here. You girls have a nice day.” He says winking at me then closing the door walking off. “What was that all about?” Bonnie asks her luckily not hearing him talk about killing Lexi. “Don’t ask.” I say huffing. It doesn't take long for Elena to get in the car her asking whats wrong after so long of silence. “Damon asked me for my necklace again.” Bonnie says. “Bonnie you need to stay away from him he is dangerous.” “Only when he wants to be.” I mumble Elena glaring at me. “What?” “I don’t see you hanging around him.” “She’s right. You seemed like you didn’t even want to look at him today. What happened?” Bonnie asks looking at me through the mirror. “He did something I didn’t think he would do. He explained why but -” “He explained why?” Elena asks looking angry. “Kinda? Sorta… I don’t know. That’s not the point. He just proved to be a different person then what I thought he was.” I say looking out the window. “Why do you think he wants my necklace so bad?” “There is no point in trying to understand him. Just stay away from him.” “He just keeps showing up.” “Well call me the next time he dose.” “I think I would have better luck with Octavia.” “Why me?” I ask looking at her. “He seems less dickish around you.” Snorting I roll my eyes and look out the window zoning out until Bonnie stops the car. “Umm whatcha doing?” “This necklace is the cause of all my problems. I’m getting rid of it.” Bonnie says getting out of the car. “Is she being serious?” I ask watching as she throws her necklace into a field. “Well that answers that question.” I say me and Elena shearing a look. Bonnie was crazy. When Bonnie got back into the car my phone went off it a text from Caroline. Her asking if we could hang out. I told her yeah not telling her Bonnie was going to be at my house. Them fighting over the witchy necklace needed to come to an end. I was in the kitchen Elena and Bonnie upstairs when the doorbell rang. I smiled opening it seeing Caroline there. “Hello gorgeous.” I say smiling at her accepting her hug. “I need to talk to you but you can’t tell Elena.” “Oh I can do that. Step into my office.” I say walking into the kitchen and picking up my phone. “What are you doing?” “Ordering take out. I can’t hear something juicy without takeout.” I say earning a laugh. “Okay fine.” She says smiling. I jump up on the counter after I hang up. “Alright spill.” “You know the party the other night.” She says making my heart race. What did she see? Does she remember Damon feeding off her? Am I gonna have to keep her from trying to kill him. “Matt took me home and well stayed the night.” “What?” I ask shocked a grin on my face. “You slept with Matt?” “No. I just we cuddled and he slept in my bed. Fully clothed.” She says holding her hands up on the last part. Laughing I nod my head. “Okay I get it no sex happened. Did something else happen?” “No that’s it but now I feel all confused.” She says starting to pace. “What do I do?” “Did you talk to him?” “Talk to who?” Elena asks walking into the kitchen. “Gym teacher. Caroline wants to add flips to the cheering but she doesn't know if the school will let her.” I say coming up with the first lie that popped into my head. I sometimes worried myself how I could lie so easily. “Oh I’m sure they would just ask.” Elena says getting water out of the fridge just as the doorbell rang. “Food!” I say smiling jumping off the counter and going to the front door. Coming back into the kitchen Bonnie walks out her and Caroline fighting. “What did you do?” I ask looking at her. “Nothing. She’s-.” I cut her off by holding my hand up. “I don’t care. Go fix it if you want it to be fixed. If it’s still about the necklace Damon gave you it’s not worth losing Bonnie.” “Hey where did you get this.” Elena says grabbing my wrist looking at the charm on my arm. “Damon gave it to me why?” I ask pulling my arm free getting the food out of the bag. “Why would he do that?” She asks Caroline going to talk to Bonnie. “To keep Stephan from compelling me.” “He wouldn’t do that.” “He would if you asked him to.” “If this is about Jeremy I’m sorry.” “Don’t be. He’s happy I’m not gonna be mad about that but if I want to forget something it’s gonna be my choice.” I say going to sit at the dining table food in hand. “I have an idea!” Caroline says sitting beside me Bonnie joining. “You made up?” “Yes! And even better, I'm gonna help Bonnie with her problem.” “How are you gonna do that?” Elena asks sitting across from me. “We are gonna have a seance.” “I’m not doing that.” Me and Bonnie say at the same time. “Come on, it'll be fun. If your being haunted I say we summon the bitch and ask her why.”
“This is not a good idea.” I say us sitting in Elena’s room in a circle. It dark three candles lit in the middle. “Hush. Now hold hands and close your eyes.” Caroline says taking my hand. “I’ma kill you when this is over.” I say closing my eyes. “Take a breath and clear your mind.” Sighing I take breath but my mind is anything but clear. I was the only one who thought this to be a bad idea. “Bonnie call to her.” “Emily are you here?” She asks clearly a shiver running threw me. “See it’s stupid.” “Try again.” “Emily.” I jump when the door slams shut. “Oh no! I’m done!” I yell jumping. “Take it back I don’t want it!” Bonnie yells throwing her necklace in the floor. “What the hell was that?” I ask turning the lights on. “It wasn’t that bad.” Caroline says. “You asked a witch to summon a ghost!” I yell at her. “You don’t really believe she is a witch.” She says Elena and Bonnie walking to the bathroom. I spin around when the door slams again. Bonnie banging on it and screaming. With Elena’s help I try to get the door open. When Bonnie suddenly stops. The door opens showing her standing there. “Oh my gosh Bonnie you're full of shit. I’m going home.” Caroline says leaving. “Are you okay?” I asked walking up to her softly touching her. “I’m fine.” She says calmly moving past me. “I need to leave now.” She says picking up the necklace. “Bonnie are you sure your okay?” Elena asks. “I’m fine.” She says heading towards the steps. “Thank you for having me. I must go now.” She says starting down the steps. “Your not Bonnie are you?” I ask a weird feeling in my jut. She doesn't say anything continuing to walk. “Emily!” I call making her stop and look at me. “I have to stop him.” She says quickly leaving the house. “Call Stephan.” I say looking at Elena. “What why?” “Because the ghost of a witch is inside of Bonnie. Stephan and Damon knew her they can help.” I say grabbing my jacket. “Where are you going?” “I’m gonna go hunt me down a witch.” I say leaving the house hoping I find her before Bonnie gets hurt.
I get to the woods before Elena and Stephan. Her sending me a text on where Bonnie would be. Using a flashlight I walk thru the woods not to sure where I’m going until I hear a groan. I follow it seeing Damon pinned to a tree. “Oh my gosh Damon.” I say rushing at him and helping him down. It resulted in him landing on me. “Oh that hurts.” He groans rolling over. “Octavia.” Bonnie says drawing something in the ground with a stick. “Emily.” I say holding my hands up not knowing what she will do to me. “You can’t stop me.” “I’m not trying to stop you. I came here for Bonnie I-.” “You came here for him.” She says looking at Damon on the ground. “You care for him. You think there is good inside of him.” “There is good in everyone.” I say clenching my jaw. I didn’t like when people told me how I felt. “Stephan.” She says looking to the right slightly. I turned around to see him standing there. “Hello Emily.” He says making me glad I’m not the only one who knows what’s going on. “These people don’t deserve this. They should never have to know such evil.” She says going back to her drawing. “What evil?” I ask confused. “I won’t unleash them?” “Them?” Stephan asks Damon groaning behind me. I crouch down to him still on the ground gently touching his shoulder. “Emily tell me what you did.” Stephan calls to her. “To save her, I had to save them all.” “I don’t care about them.” Damon says pushing himself up to his feet Stephan next to us in an instant. “I only care about her.” “You did this for Katherine?” Stephan asks stopping Damon from moving. “She’s alive?” I ask my head started to spin. “This town killed 27 people and they deserve everything they get.” “They killed vampires Damon. Vampires!” “This isn’t about love for you. It’s about revenge and your playing innocent people for something that happened 145 years ago.” “It’ll happen again. They are already one to us and they'll burn her along with us.” He says pointing at Bonnie. “Things are different now.” Bonnie says dropping the stick. “I can’t free them and I won’t.” She says as flames grow around her. “Bonnie!” I yell trying to move closer but I get pushed back everything going black when my head smacks into a rock.
