Weaponized Incompetence
“Do you know how to clean”
Part 1
Pairing : John Price x Reader
John and you are going through a rough patch , one that may not be solvable
John is going to win his wife back. How? He doesn’t know but it will be done. He loves you with all his heart and he hasn’t been showing it in the best way. He put you on the back burning , a constant always in his life that he didn’t nurture or pet. Never stimulated. Didn’t think he needed too. Thinking paying the bills, having money, and not cheating was enough to be a good husband. (It wasn’t).
Price has been cleaning all day, trying to make things right. He brought flowers for the house. Vacuumed every room , mopped the kitchen and bathroom and started laundry.
He thought he had a great day, so he decided to take leave for the next three weeks. He hasn’t told you yet but he thinks that you will be excited.
That’s not the case.
When you step into the house, Price is standing at the door waiting for your reaction, if you have any at all.
Looking around and then seeing his face and looking likes he’s waiting for something, “What’s going on ?” , you say with a little chuckle.
“I cleaned up” , he says, lifting his arms up and turning his body in a look around motion.
“Oh…what did you clean up?” , you ask, starting to walk around the house.
“I vacuumed, mopped and started the laundry”.
“Did you put down carpet freshener?”
“No”
“What did you use to mop?”.
“Just water”.
“Did you separate the clothes by light and dark?”.
“No”.
John looks up and sees you just exasperated and shaking your head.
“I honestly don’t know why I’m surprised”, you walk over to the washing machine and stop it, pulling out a light pink shirt that you know is for sure supposed to be white.
“John, you basically just pushed dirt around when you mop with just soap you know that right”, you start getting the mop bucket out with soap.
He thinks that’s found a solution , “maybe if you write me a l-”, he stops talking when you whip your neck and stare at him.
“Are you a child or an adult?”, you ask.
“An adult”, he answers.
“I’m not making you a list to clean, you're in the military, you should know how to clean…do you know how to clean?”, you turn off the water and turn your whole body towards him., “are you going to answer the question?”
John clears his throat,”yes, I know how to clean”, he doesn’t understand why you are so angry. He thinks that he did a lot for you today, shit almost everyday he does a lot for you and you being angry at him and not telling him why is starting to grate his nerves.
“What did I do to you”, he snaps, “because you are angry at me and I don’t understand why”
“I guess it’s because you act like a child and I’m tired of it”, you snap back.
“I heard what you said to your friend over the phone, do you actually feel like that?”, he ask, moving closer to you. He doesn’t want to argue with you. He wants to be better for you. He wants you to want him not because of convenience , but because you love him.
“Am I tired of cleaning of your shit, shit that I have AKSED you multiple times to clean up….?”, you answer him.
You start to cry, an angry frustrated cry , “I work too you know , I’m tired all the time, and when I get home from work and see nasty dip bottles on the floor I get frustrated.” , you start to mop , like you don’t want him to see you cry.
“I remember asking you to clean up the bottle, to not leave it just laying around, you said okay, do you remember that”, you look up at him with raised eyebrows. He nods his head because he does remember that, actually he remembers all the times you’ve asked to not leave the dip bottles everywhere.
“In my head, I told myself that this would be the last time I ask you to clean up after yourself, and the next week a fucking dip bottle sitting right along side the couch”, you let a self deprecating chuckle.
“I’m done”, you say with such finality. It scares him that he won’t be able to get you back.

The Witcher Headcanon (Modern AU) - Upset - Part 1
(Whump fic disguised as a headcanon)
Jaskier was typically outgoing, charming, and had an amazing sense of humor. He was good-natured and wasn't one to get upset easily. Except when it came to Valdo Marx. That a**hole was a completely different story!
But Jaskier did get angry, or sad, or got his feelings hurt, like any normal person. And while he did get upset, he was also quick to forgive his friends. He may not forgive himself as quickly or easily, but would always forgive the people closest to his heart.
He had even forgiven Geralt for abandoning him on the mountain, but Geralt wasn't so sure Jaskier was going to forgive him for this...
Geralt and Jaskier had just pulled into the driveway when Jaskier had been called away for band business. He'd jumped out of Van Roach, broken the world's speed record for showering, thrown on clean clothes, and headed over to their little studio.
Geralt had been left to unpack everything from their recent roadtrip: two weeks on the Path, hunting monsters in Temeria. He was tired, but he had to get the van cleaned out and restocked for the next trip. He gave it a good vacuuming, took out all the empty food containers and packaging, and tossed all the empty cans and bottles.
He shampooed the carpet and seat where Jaskier had spilled his drink after Geralt hit the brakes quite suddenly, on purpose, after Jaskier kept forgetting to put his seatbelt on, and wouldn't stop putting his feet up on the dashboard. Jaskier had folded in half with a surprised shriek, and Geralt had to stop to pull his a** out of the footwell.
Geralt restocked the medical supply cabinet, then bundled all the bedding up and shoved it into the washing machine. Was it overloaded? Most likely. Was Yen going to be mad? Not if she didn't find out. Geralt left the machine to do its job and f**ked off to go do something else until it was time to dry everything.
After half an hour of sitting in front of the tv, he heard the washing machine stop, so he peeled himself off the couch and went to shove everything in the dryer. He was pulling the blankets and sheets out when he saw it...
Geralt experienced a mental pause while his brain devoted most of its function into verifying that what his eyes were seeing was really true.
Then came the wave of panic as he carefully pulled the blanket out of the washer. Ohsh*tohsh*t! It had gotten mixed in with the other bedding, and he hadn't noticed! Sh*t! Oh gods! Were the tattered spot worse, or had they always looked like that? Ohhhhhhhhhh.....
Yennefer was out in her herb garden when she heard Geralt swear loudly and emphatically, "FFFFAAAAAAAHHHHKKKKKHHHH!!!!". She ran inside immediately, and heard him swear again in the laundry room.
She flung door open, voice raised in righteous fury, "You better not have overloaded the washing manchine again, Geralt!", and froze on the spot when she saw Geralt standing there, holding a blanket.
Yennefer gasped, experiencing the same panic as Geralt when she recognized the familiar, but now much cleaner looking ratty blanket. That wasn't just any blanket. It was Jaskier's blankie. And Geralt had just washed it! Their eyes locked, and a single thought passed between them,
oH sH*T!
They both knew the significance of what had just happened. They were f**ked. There was no way to fix this. Geralt's brain made a valiant effort though, and coughed up an absurd, but simple solution.
"Yen, quick, magic it back to the way it was!"
"What?!"
"Just...I don't know, put the...the 'yuck' back on it!"
"You want me to just magic decades of drool, dirt, sweat, and gods know what else back on to it? What the f**k, Geralt?"
"Ok, ok, then at least put the stink back on it so it will smell like it did before I accidentally washed it!"
"I can't, you nimrod! I don't know what it smells like!"
Geralt gave the blanket an experimental sniff. That one corner still smelled funky to him. Maybe it was going to be okay.
Yennefer burst his bubble. "He's not a Witcher! He doesn't have your sense of smell!" She took a sniff herself. All she could smell was lavender and linen. "And I don't either!"
"D*mn, it's a little...uh...ragged too!" Yennefer groaned, looking at the bits where some of the old, slapped on patches had frayed and pulled away from the other bits of fabric. There were stringy bits, and small areas where the old batting was showing through.
Geralt felt his heart sink with dread. The blankie was mostly in one piece, just a little 'battle worn', but it was still obviously damaged and would need repair.
Oh, f**k, we're...f**ked!"
They were very much f**ked because that was when Jaskier walked in. He knew something was wrong. He could sense dread and urgency through Yennefer's mental link as soon as he walked into the house.
Jaskier opened the laundry room door and froze. He saw Geralt holding his blankie. Saw the open door of the washing machine. Saw the ragged look of his blankie. Smelled laundry soap. And put one and one together.
"You...you...washed it..." he said, his voice small and flat. Geralt and Yennefer both flinched. Jaskier slowly reached out and took the damp blanket from Geralt's hands. He started trembling then, and Geralt could smell the distress coming off him. It was making him sick to his stomach.
Jaskier ran his hand over one frayed patch where the stitching had given way, his thougths racing as he tried to both process what had happened, and simultaneously come up with a way to fix it.
"Jask, I-!" Geralt began to try to explain, reaching over to lay a comforting hand on Jaskier's shoulder.
Jaskier jerked away from him, "No!" he barked, his voice rough and tight. He was shaking now.
"No..." he whimpered, his voice sounding small and broken. Yennefer gasped when, out of pure distress, he started banging his fist on his head and repeating "No" over and over.
Geralt grabbed his wrist, "Hey! Stop it!"
Jaskier twisted and jerked, then tensed up as he felt a familiar pain flare in his chest. "F**k you!" he cried, suddenly angry. "F**k you, Geralt! F**k you!"
"Geralt, his chest-!" Yennefer said quickly, feeling the pain through their link.
Geralt immediately released his grip.
Jaskier stumbled as Geralt let go. He took a step back and bumped up against the counter, sliding down to sit on the floor. He felt light-headed.
"Breathe, Jaskier..." Yennefer said, her voice full of concern. She crouched beside him and lightly slapped at his cheek until he blinked and took a breath.
Yennefer tried to press her hand to his chest, to feel if those ribs had separated from his sternum again, but he turned away from her slightly.
"Let me see, Nightengale. Please?" She asked quietly.
Jaskier shook his head and hugged his damp blanket to his chest, sniffling and trying to get a hold of himself. "Get out." he said quietly after a minute.
"Jaskier," Yennefer said gently, pulling on his hand when he started fisting his hair. "Let's get your blankie in the dryer, okay?"
He didn't look at her, just stared at the floor numbly, holding his wet blanket, eyes glistening with tears.
"Jask?" Geralt rumbled softly.
"Just f**k off, both of you. Please."
Geralt looked at Yennefer, who nodded. They quietly left the room...

The Disadvantages of Home Carpet Cleaning Machines
While home carpet cleaning machines may seem like a convenient option, they come with several disadvantages that can affect the cleanliness and longevity of your carpets. That's where Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning in McKinney, TX, can help with professional services.
Tumblr media
One major drawback of home carpet cleaning machines is their limited cleaning power. They often lack the suction and water extraction capabilities of commercial-grade equipment, leaving behind excess moisture and residue that can lead to mold, mildew, and re-soiling. Additionally, home machines typically use generic cleaning solutions, which may not be suitable for your specific carpet type or stain. This can result in discoloration, damage, or ineffective cleaning.
Another disadvantage is the time and effort required. Home carpet cleaning machines can be cumbersome to use, requiring multiple passes and frequent refilling of water tanks. This process can be time-consuming and physically demanding, especially for larger areas.
By opting for professional carpet cleaning in McKinney, you can overcome these disadvantages. Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning employs powerful equipment and specialized techniques to ensure deep and thorough cleaning. Our experienced technicians use safe and effective cleaning solutions tailored to your carpet's needs.

Home Cleaning: A Comprehensive Guide to a Sparkling Home
Why a Clean Home Matters
Health Benefits of a Clean Living Space
A clean home means fewer germs and allergens, which can lead to better health. Regular cleaning helps prevent the spread of illnesses and reduces allergy symptoms by eliminating dust, pet dander, and other irritants.
Understanding the Basics of Home Cleaning
The Essentials of Home Cleaning
Cleaning Supplies You Need
To get started with home cleaning, you’ll need some basic supplies: a broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, microfiber cloths, sponges, a bucket, and gloves. These tools will help you tackle various cleaning tasks effectively.
Cleaning Products and Their Uses
Different surfaces require different cleaning products. For instance, use glass cleaner for windows and mirrors, all-purpose cleaner for countertops, and a disinfectant for bathrooms. Always read the labels to ensure you’re using the right product for the job.
Creating a Cleaning Schedule
Daily Cleaning Tasks
Daily tasks include making the bed, doing the dishes, wiping down countertops, and tidying up common areas. These small chores can prevent messes from piling up.
Weekly Cleaning Tasks
Weekly cleaning involves more detailed tasks like vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and cleaning the bathroom. Setting aside a specific day each week for these chores can help maintain a clean home.
Monthly Cleaning Tasks
Monthly tasks include deep-cleaning appliances, washing windows, and organizing closets. These less frequent tasks ensure your home remains spotless throughout the year.
Room-by-Room Cleaning Guide
Kitchen Cleaning
Cleaning the Countertops and Sink
Start by clearing off the countertops and wiping them down with an all-purpose cleaner. Scrub the sink with a mild abrasive cleaner to remove stains and keep it shiny.
Maintaining Appliances
Regularly clean your appliances to keep them running efficiently. Wipe down the exterior of your refrigerator, microwave, and stove. Don’t forget to clean the inside of your microwave and oven periodically.
Bathroom Cleaning
Scrubbing the Shower and Tub
Use a bathroom cleaner to scrub the shower walls, doors, and tub. Pay special attention to grout lines and corners where mold and mildew can accumulate.
Keeping the Toilet Sparkling
Clean the toilet bowl with a toilet cleaner and a brush. Wipe down the exterior with a disinfectant to kill germs and keep it looking clean.
Living Room Cleaning
Dusting and Vacuuming
Dust all surfaces, including shelves, tables, and electronics. Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt and dust. If you have hardwood floors, sweep and mop them.
Cleaning Upholstery
Vacuum upholstered furniture to remove dust and crumbs. For stains, use an upholstery cleaner suitable for the fabric type.
Bedroom Cleaning
Making the Bed
Make your bed every morning to give your bedroom an instant tidy look. Change your bed linens weekly to keep them fresh.
Organizing the Closet
Take some time each month to declutter and organize your closet. Donate or discard items you no longer need to keep your space organized.
Deep Cleaning Tips
Seasonal Deep Cleaning
Spring Cleaning Tips
Spring is the perfect time for a thorough cleaning. Open the windows to air out your home, wash curtains, clean light fixtures, and deep clean carpets.
Fall Cleaning Tips
Prepare for the colder months with a fall deep clean. Clean out gutters, wash windows, and organize storage areas to make space for winter items.
Tackling Stubborn Stains
Carpet Stains
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. Use a carpet cleaner to treat stains. For tough stains, consider renting a carpet cleaning machine or hiring a professional.
Upholstery Stains
Test any cleaning solution on a hidden area first. Blot the stain with a clean cloth and apply an upholstery cleaner. Gently scrub with a soft brush and let it dry completely.
Green Cleaning Alternatives
Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products
Homemade Cleaning Solutions
You can make effective cleaning solutions with common household items like vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. These ingredients are natural and safe for the environment.
Benefits of Green Cleaning
Green cleaning products reduce your exposure to harmful chemicals and are better for the environment. They are also often more cost-effective than commercial cleaners.
Maintaining a Clean Home
Habits for Keeping Your Home Clean
Develop daily habits like putting things away immediately, wiping down surfaces, and doing a quick evening tidy-up to keep your home consistently clean.
Benefits of a Clean and Organized Home
A clean home reduces stress, improves health, and creates a pleasant living environment. Keeping your space tidy and organized can enhance your overall well-being.
FAQs
How often should I clean my home?
It depends on your lifestyle and household size, but daily tidying, weekly cleaning, and monthly deep cleaning are good practices.
What are the best products for green cleaning?
Vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice are excellent for most cleaning tasks. You can also find eco-friendly commercial products that are safe and effective.
How can I remove tough stains from my carpet?
Blot the stain immediately and use a carpet cleaner. For persistent stains, consider professional cleaning services.
Is it necessary to deep clean my home every season?
Yes, seasonal deep cleaning helps maintain a healthy and pleasant living environment by tackling areas that regular cleaning might miss.
What are some quick cleaning tips for busy people?
Focus on high-traffic areas, keep cleaning supplies handy, and do small tasks daily to prevent messes from accumulating.

A PSA Written While Taking a Break from Cleaning My Home (because I am old and my knees need a rest)
If there is one thing that being in my thirties has finally taught me, it's this: If there's something in your day-to-day life that you are really struggling with, some seemingly simple and obvious task that you feel stupid or incompetent for not being able to do like everybody else, that paralyzes you with shame, or that you feel the need to beat yourself up over to tough-love your way into accomplishing it...
...there's probably an obstacle between you and completing it, and a practical solution for that specific obstacle.
In other words, the solution to "I can't fix this problem" is absolutely never going to be "I need to verbally abuse myself into somehow being a better person with more energy/willpower/work ethic."
The solution is almost always going to be, "I need an accommodation that might look a little different from what I perceive as 'normal' but suits my needs just fine."
Because, first of all, and I say this with my whole chest as someone who works in the advertising industry: fuck normal. "Normal" is a lie sold to you by advertisers and Hollywood taste-makers (who are often also advertisers) and lifestyle influencers (who are definitely also advertisers). "Normal" standards for how you should look and how your house should be kept and everything else? Those are set by folks who want to sell you things, so throw those expectations right out the window.
Instead, ask yourself with 100% honesty: What is actually the thing holding me back here? Physically, practically, specifically, what is the actual thing that is stopping me from getting the result that I want?
Because once you dig down deep into it, sometimes the answer is way simpler than you think it is.
Sometimes it's "The cord to the steam mop isn't long enough" (you can buy a cordless one!)
Or "Trash keeps piling up on end tables" (your garbage cans probably aren't in the right place!)
Or "My counter tops are covered in clutter so I can't even clean the surface" (you could buy some cute containers to give all your clutter a home!)
You would be frankly astonished at just how many personal failings and character flaws can actually be overcome with 1.) devices made for making specific tasks easier 2.) decorative containers to stash stuff in 3.) better-quality products (that require less effort on your part)
And yeah, I 100% will acknowledge that sometimes your house (or whatever) gets super grimy because you're too depressed to deal with it, or because you can't afford the things that would make it easier to deal with.
But you know what? That's not your fault, either.
Why the hell are you judging yourself against a standard set by people who aren't (in that moment) paralyzed by mental illness or poverty? That's not very fair. You should be nicer to yourself.
And then, when you can tackle it again, you can start building things into your routine that will make your life easier. Like buying machine-washable slip-covers and rugs instead of stressing about how to shampoo furniture/carpets. Or watching a five minute YouTube video on how to clean out your dishwasher drain so your dishes get cleaned properly the first time instead of needing multiple runs through.
If something isn't working, you probably just need to learn how to fix it.
You've got this. I promise.
Now back to work for me.

Day two of re-deep cleaning my carpets: I went over each room TWICE and the water was still coming out black. However, I have figured out how to REALLY effectively use the machine now, and got out way more of the stains than I did when I deep cleaned the carpets before Christmas time.
My cousin suggested a cheaper cleaning solution than the name-branded one I’ve been using, which I might investigate after I run out of soap. I’m positive that if I did another sweep of both rooms, I’d still be pulling out huge clumps of nastiness, so the soap I’m using right now is good and all, it’s just expensive.
My other worry is that the carpet feels slightly sticky after cleaning. I’m not sure if I should put some hot water into the machine with no soap and run that over to clean up any residue or what, but right now I’m too tired - I’ve been cleaning this shit for 3 hours.
Right now, I’m just satisfied that instead of huge discolored patches everywhere, there are smaller areas of it in smaller, harder to see places.
I’m a little scared of the big living room, which is the worst in the whole house (aside from my papas room). My littlest cousin, now 17, would camp out in one chair for DAYS out there, and he’s notorious for spilling shit. Just the other day he spilled soda all over the carpet, though he did apologize to me for it because he knew I’d cleaned the carpets semi recently LMAO. Those stains were easy enough to get out, but the ones in the big living room are INSANE. Streaks of orange and bright pink completely caked in, nasty speckly spots from food spills, etc. I shudder at the thought. I’ll try tackling that room on Sunday. I’ll have to move all the furniture out of the way, but my grandparents have been good sports about letting me fuck with everything for the sake of cleaning the house.
(Please note that this carpet hasn’t been cleaned in about 10 years, that it has weathered at least 6 children from infant to teenager, and is in the home of two older folks who can’t vacuum or clean as often as the place needs. Since moving in in 2022, I’ve made it my mission to help make the house cleaner, and I’ve so far succeeded! The kitchen is a nightmare, but some battles I just can’t win LMFAO.
Also please note that glitter is a generational curse and at least 1/4 of the debris I keep pulling out of the carpet is chunky silver glitter. I don’t know how but it is in EVERY inch of the carpet in this house.
Triple note that I am in dire need of moving the furniture out of my room and closet and hitting the carpet in there again now that I know what Horrors lie beyond one imperfect deep clean. My room was originally inhabited by nightmare meth aunt who had mold growing in the windows, burnt a huge hole in the carpet that the old cat used to pee in, had broken mirrors laying on the floor, and left behind various, sticky brown stains all over the carpet that I figured I just wouldn’t be able to get out. I now know how to get them out and by the gods. Will I do that. Sometime. Eventually.)

Are Home Carpet Cleaners as Good as Professional?
When it comes to maintaining clean and fresh carpets in your Eugene home, the question of whether home carpet cleaners are as good as professional ones often arises. While both options have their merits, there are key differences to consider.
Tumblr media
Home carpet cleaners, such as portable machines or DIY solutions, can be convenient and cost-effective for routine maintenance. They are suitable for handling minor spills and light soiling. However, they may lack the power and advanced technology of professional equipment, limiting their ability to deep clean and remove tough stains effectively.
On the other hand, professional residential carpet cleaning services in Eugene offer a higher level of expertise and specialized equipment. Trained technicians understand various carpet types and know the most suitable cleaning methods. They use powerful steam cleaning or hot water extraction techniques to reach deep into the carpet fibers, removing embedded dirt, allergens, and stains.
In conclusion, while home carpet cleaners can serve a purpose for regular upkeep, they may not match the thoroughness and results achieved by professional residential carpet cleaning services. For a truly revitalized and immaculate carpet, entrusting the task to professionals in Eugene is a wise choice.

ADD problem of the day: I really need to take a shower, do laundry and study. I can’t study first because I don’t want to sit on my clean bed dirty so I’ll have to sit on my carpet. But my carpet needs to be vacuumed first. And if I’m gonna do that, I should vacuum all the shower mats that are also dirty and that’ll risk me spontaneously cleaning every speck and corner of my room and I’ll not do anything else today. If I shower before laundry, that’ll take time away from studying directly after the shower. But if I do laundry BEFORE I shower, I’ll still have the clothes I took off still unwashed, alone in the laundry bag. I could just add my clothes now to laundry and it then all at once BUT I’d have to carry laundry bag, detergent and hold up my towel and walk completely nude to and from the washing machine. And even after the shower, if I don’t vacuum the mat, I’ll be undoing the cleanness of the shower AND I won’t able to study because both the carpet will be unclean and my bed will get the stuff on my feet all over it.
My solution?
Sit for fifteen minutes writing this thought process chronologically and not doing any of it.

The Advantages of Dry Rug Cleaning
Tumblr media
Dry rug cleaning is an alternative to having your rug shampooed and deep cleaned. It is a newer type of area rug cleaning that is different than all other moist and dry cleaning methods that have been traditionally used. With this type of cleaning, only enough moisture is used to take up any dirt left behind after vacuuming. Some rug cleaning services recommend this type of cleaning for wool rugs to control allergens and maintain its original look. Wool is the most common material used to make hand made rugs. They are resistant to soil and are very durable. Most are also non-toxic and non-allergenic. Because they have this natural resistance, it is better to retain these qualities and use cleaning practices that do not reduce these qualities in the rug. This is one reason why dry rug cleaning is very beneficial to anyone who has a hand made rug go here for more info https://professionalrugcleaning.com.au/.
Using this method ensures there is no soap or water left in the rug. The pile is left looking fuller and much cleaner. Detergent is not used to do the cleaning and that means there will be not residue left in your rug either. Excess residue attracts more dirt and will require it to be cleaned more often than necessary. With less water being used to clean, the rug will dry faster. Other processes completely saturate the rug with water and require them to be dried thoroughly. Improper drying can lead to damage that cannot be repaired. This process drastically reduces the risk and makes the rug available for use much more quickly. A final benefit of this particular area rug cleaning method is that it is environmentally friendly. The cleaning process itself is non-toxic.
Tumblr media
Most rug cleaning services use biodegradable cleaning solutions that effectively clean the rug without posing any threat to your home, family, or the environment. There are multiple methods for dry cleaning a rug. With all methods, rinsing is not required. Some companies use a foam product that they spray on the carpet. Others use a cotton bonnet that uses a spinning technique to deeply clean the rug and absorb all the dirt. One other method involves a substance much like saw dust that has a little moisture. A machine evenly applies the substance to the rug and the dirt clings to it. After it has dried, a vacuum is used to pick up the cleaning product along with all the dirt it has attracted. Check with your local rug cleaners to see which methods they offer and if they are appropriate for your rug.
Having your rug cleaned every so often is very important. Vacuuming it once a week will remove all loose dirt and prevent an over abundance from working deep into the pile of the rug. If you do not have your rug cleaned the dirt will set into the fibers of your carpet and will begin to cut them and cause it to wear faster. Perform regular maintenance on your rug and have it cleaned at least every five years so it will keep its original look and remain a valuable part of your home decor.
