So I just got done reading your Day of Hearts fanfic short, and it's both beautiful and sweet! It really put a smile into my face to see Cassandra spending time with Bellamy for the first time a newly couple. I've always wish for Cass to have a love interest, and I'm really happy that you've filled that void for her character development. Well done!

Thank you! I'm not sure if I would consider the story "canon" to my main fic just yet because I haven't planned that far ahead (this would already be over a year since Cassandra and Bellamy met, although obviously less than a year since becoming an item), but I can probably find a way to make it fit. Either way, it was a fun little mini story to get out of my system while waiting for my brain to give me more of that Main Fic writing energy.

I've talked about this before but I've found myself in the position of really wanting Cassandra to have a love interest without there being any existing character I find satisfying in that role. I know people like their Cassunzel and their Casscaine and their Casselsa and whatnot and that's fine, but Cassamy is special to me because Bellamy is an original character created from the perspective that Cassandra needs to go out and connect with new people and find at least one loyal (human) companion on equal footing who understands, respects, and supports her. I made their relationship romantic because that's what I want to see, but even if you remove that aspect, it's just great for Cassandra to have such a strong, healthy friendship with someone since that's something she wasn't allowed to have in canon lol.

Just realized too that this is probably the first time I've posted writing of them actually speaking to each other, huh? Well, I'm glad that glimpse of their relationship made you smile, and hopefully there will be more to come!
