Reccer says: Such atmospheric, visual writing that was used to create such an interesting world! The characters are so complex and have inner demons that eventually reveal themselves.

The one where Niall is a perfectly normal university student, until he finds himself an ocean away in the middle of Ohio with a strange man telling him to stop wandering off. Then he’s in space. It’s a whole thing.

Reccer says: Emmu's fics are always their own special brand of charming and this fic is no exception. It's so delightful and odd and it makes me so happy.

Kurvitz stresses that Kim doesn't actually have a character sheet hidden in Disco Elysium's code. Imagining that Lieutenant Kitsuragi has only one natural attribute point in Motorics helps the ZA/UM team to understand the depth of his character beyond what's referenced in the game's dialogue. "We just came up with this stuff for coherency," says Kurvitz. "And because we're nerds."

"I like to think Kim has a Thought Cabinet project called Revolutionary Aerostatic Brigades that he's worked on since he was a teenager," Kurvitz says. "This raises the learning caps for his Reaction Speed and Interfacing."

Kim's high Volition skill makes him impervious to prying, Kurvitz says, as the detective can find out on occasions being met with Kim's brick-wall resolve. Kim often chastises these whims of the detective's, but will occasionally play along. The Lieutenant finds his new partner funny, says Kurvitz.

New Category: Space!

In honor of the solar eclipse this month, I wanted to collect fics focused on space! Submit your faves here, and the list will post on Monday, April 15th!

These could be fics about astronauts, the longest of long distance relationships between Earth and outer space -- or trapped together in a small, enclosed space, never separated for a moment (for good or for ill hehe). Maybe it's a Star Trek or Star Wars (or other space media) AU, traveling together through the stars and fighting evil or finding new civilizations. Perhaps it's Alien!Harry, crash-landed on Earth and trying to figure out how to blend in. Maybe the characters are astronomers, never leaving the planet but always looking up at the stars and studying their patterns.

The characters could be in space, from space, or just obsessed with space, but as long as the idea of outer space is key to the story in some fashion -- submit away!
