[PT: Chrono Regression!!
Immortal/Ageless Chrono Regression! End PT.]
Hello little ones!! I thought today I’d make some flags!!
Chrono Regression!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This flag is specifically for those who regress to specific points in time! This could be specific parts of their childhood, specific situations, or even specific emotional states associated with aspects of their childhood!
Immortal/Ageless Chrono Regression!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one is for my system followers! It’s a flag for alters who are immortal or ageless, and thus regress to specific spots in time rather than specific ages!
I hope these help you all little ones! Do let me know if you’d like other flags like this!

Holy fuck, all of your takes about homosexuality are DOGSHIT today, kiddos. Has “queer” in-fighting fully circled back around to become pure homophobia? It’s more likely than you think!
#i just saw a post that said ‘it’s understandable and justified to distrust normie cis gays and lesbians’#to be fair I think they’re probably referring to right-wing gays but the post didn’t actually say that and I think there’s a reason why#because these fuckin dipshits actually think that homosexuality is some kind of regressive/ non-radical ‘identity’#they think that individual identity is where the sex & gender revolution takes place#that’s why they prioritize micro-labels and ‘queer’ identities so much#because most of them aren’t gay and don’t have gay sex or same-sex attraction#they just want to be the most radical person in the room#so they pretend like their personal nuances of gender are purely individual and rare and not a basic fact of human experience#and they’re insecure about being ‘less valid’ than people who are recognizably gay#so they make up ultra-radical sub-categories that are Way More Queer than HOMOSEXUALITY#i see it all the time here. and irl with younger people. its fucking absurd#gayness has been a sexuality way longer than it’s ever been a community or trend#gay sex is as old as human sexuality itself. pithy identity politics are a construct of a media culture that centers individual branding#I’m fuckin sick and tired of existing in a brand culture— especially as it pretends to be radical and revolutionary#stop fucking agonizing over whether or not you’re valid and try having some GAY SEX for once in your lives#jesus fucking christ

why is "chronosion" or whatever on thin ice? i view it as similar to how system members can have different ages from the body + singlets who are permanently age reg/progressed (or ageless or whatever else). is it the association/branching off of "transage" (and the association of "transage" with pedo/4chan crap or the community it harvested and being buddy-buddy with pedos and all that crap) that makes it uncomfortable? or something else im missing? (i assume its not the experience itself because you guys are 8-10 and 16-ageless but i might be wrong because i have bad theory of mind)
yeah, it's the connection between chronosian and "transage" and how people often use them interchangeably. the creator of chronosian is opposed to "transage" and other "transx/transid" identities, but we still suggest checking the op tags and blog when reblogging chronosian identities because mogai tumblr is infamously bad at research and respect.
additionally, at least to me (rev), the concept of "identifying as a different age than the body" in general is very unsettling when used outside of specific plural settings. the creator of chronosian explains in this post that neurodivergent people may identify as chronosian because of how we mature differently, and while they do provide disclaimers in an attempt to fend off ableists, I believe that the association is still potentially dangerous. the creation of microlabels for different expressions of chronosian identity also seems to me like a trivialization of the material reality of age. as a Claudia, I find it helpful to sometimes identify as an 8-10 year old, since my emotions and personality will never fully mature. however, I also identify as a 26 year old who is fully capable of harming others as an adult and is able to consent to sex with other adults. I think it is important even as a syskid or a regressor to keep a solid grasp on your real physical age, both for the safety and comfort of others and for your own self-concept.
HOWEVER, I do think that the basic terminology of "chronosian" is helpful, and would identify as it. also, ETMK is not as serious as I am about this and does not have any criticism of chronosian other than finding the word itself "sort of dorky". so that's what we mean by "on thin ice".
tl;dr, we are overall ok with chronosian as long as it is divorced from "transage", but one of us has some friendly criticism about it.

Understanding Morally Gray Characters in Storytelling
Definition and Core Characteristics:
Complex and Ambiguous Morality: Morally gray characters exhibit traits and make decisions that do not fit neatly into the categories of 'good' or 'evil'. Their actions and motivations often blend aspects of both.
Humanized Flaws: They possess human flaws, which make their actions and decisions relatable and believable. These flaws often drive their complex behavior.
Realistic Motivations: Their motivations are multifaceted and realistic, often stemming from personal experiences, traumas, or societal pressures.
Importance in Storytelling:
Adds Depth: These characters add depth and richness to the narrative, providing a more nuanced and realistic portrayal of human nature.
Creates Tension and Conflict: Their unpredictability and complex morality create tension and conflict, driving the plot and engaging the audience.
Reflects Real Life: By portraying characters with both good and bad qualities, stories can reflect the complexity of real-life moral decisions.
Examples and Their Impact:
Walter White from Breaking Bad: Initially a high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with cancer, Walter turns to manufacturing methamphetamine to secure his family’s future. His descent into criminality and moral compromise makes him a quintessential morally gray character.
Severus Snape from Harry Potter: Snape’s actions and allegiances are ambiguous throughout much of the series. His ultimate loyalty and sacrifices reveal a deeply complex character motivated by love and regret.
Creating a Morally Gray Character:
Blend Virtues and Vices: Give your character a mix of admirable qualities and significant flaws. This balance helps create a sense of realism.
Motivations Over Actions: Focus on the character’s motivations rather than just their actions. Understand why they make certain decisions, even if those decisions are morally questionable.
Consequences and Growth: Show the consequences of their actions and allow for character growth or regression. This evolution keeps the character dynamic and engaging.
Impact on the Audience:
Empathy and Engagement: Morally gray characters can evoke empathy from the audience, as they see parts of themselves in the character’s struggles and decisions.
Moral Reflection: These characters prompt audiences to reflect on their own moral beliefs and the complexities of right and wrong.
Discussion and Debate: The ambiguous nature of morally gray characters often sparks discussion and debate, making stories more engaging and thought-provoking.
By understanding and effectively using morally gray characters, storytellers can craft richer, more engaging narratives that resonate deeply with their audience.

if you take sex away as a determinate to womanhood or manhood, you’re only left with gender norms to define these categories by, which is regressive and alienating to many if not most people
If you define womanhood and manhood on sex alone, every individual is free to behave and look how they wish without it standing in contrast to their status as a man or woman, which how you deconstruct gender stereotypes

will shifting ever be scientifically proven? a nerdy investigation. . .
reality shifting exists in a weird twilight zone between mysticism and science. on one hand, shifters claim full sensory experiences in different realities, describing their DRs as just as real—if not more real—than this one. on the other, skeptics dismiss it as intense imagination, an extension of lucid dreaming or dissociation at best.
so, will shifting ever be scientifically proven? will we one day have brain scans, peer-reviewed studies, and neuroscientific validation backing it up? or will it remain in the same category as astral projection and past-life regression—forever debated, never confirmed?
guys, this isn’t just a yes-or-no question. it’s a deep dive into how science deals with the unknown, how history has repeatedly proven skeptics wrong, and whether shifting might be next!!!
what science currently says: shifting vs. similar phenomena
while shifting itself hasn’t been studied in depth (yet), we do have research on similar states of consciousness—lucid dreaming, hypnosis, and even maladaptive daydreaming (to an extent). so, what does science say about these?
1. lucid dreaming: once called “impossible,” now neurologically proven
not too long ago, lucid dreaming was considered pseudoscience. the idea that someone could be conscious while dreaming sounded absurd—until researchers found a way to prove it.
scientists like stephen laberge used fMRI scans and eye movement signals from sleeping participants to confirm that lucid dreamers were indeed aware and controlling their dreams. we now know that lucid dreaming involves a unique interplay between the prefrontal cortex (responsible for self-awareness and decision-making) and the REM sleep stage.
before this research? lucid dreamers were written off as liars, delusional, or mistaking their dreams for something they weren’t. sound familiar?
2. hypnosis: once dismissed, now widely used in medicine
hypnosis was once labeled as stage magic and a party trick. today, it’s an accepted psychological phenomenon used in therapy, pain management, and even surgery (yes, surgery—some patients have undergone operations using only hypnosis as anesthesia).
neuroscientific studies show that hypnosis alters brain activity, shifting people into a highly focused state where the brain processes suggestions as reality. if science could accept that the mind can be influenced to perceive reality differently, why is shifting such a stretch?
3. maladaptive daydreaming: a new but recognized condition
maladaptive daydreaming wasn’t officially named until 2002, when professor eli somer identified it as a distinct phenomenon. before then, people struggling with excessive, immersive daydreaming were misdiagnosed with ADHD, OCD, or dissociative disorders.
now, we have concrete research proving that MD is neurologically distinct from normal imagination, linked to overactivity in the default mode network (DMN)—the brain’s self-referential system.
again, before science caught up, these people were called lazy, unfocused, or simply too imaginative. now? it’s a legitimate condition with ongoing research.
what can we take away from that? well, this formula, probably:
history repeats itself: the cycle of disbelief → proof → acceptance
science has a history of mocking what it doesn’t yet understand. let’s not forget that:
• germ theory was laughed at—until microscopes proved bacteria existed.
• deep-sea creatures? dismissed as sailor myths—until we developed better submersibles.
• lucid dreaming, hypnosis, and MD—all called “fake”, until research proved otherwise.
what does this tell us? if shifting is real, the fact that it hasn’t been proven yet doesn’t mean it won’t be. it just means science hasn’t caught up.
but, i like being thorough & unbiased, so i’ll list a few reasons i think or don’t think it’ll be proven!
reasons shifting might be proven
1. brain scans might reveal shifting-specific activity.
• fMRI studies could eventually show unique neurological patterns in shifting states, differentiating it from dreaming or imagination.
2. science is moving towards studying altered consciousness.
• lucid dreaming, astral projection, and out-of-body experiences are getting more attention in neuroscience. shifting could be next.
3. quantum theories suggest consciousness may not be confined to the brain.
• theories like the many-worlds interpretation propose infinite parallel realities—if true, shifting might be tapping into that.
4. hypnosis proves perception can be altered at a deep level.
• shifting might be a self-induced state where the brain accepts a different reality as real.
5. historical precedent shows that dismissed phenomena often get validated later.
reasons shifting might never be proven
1. there’s no scientific method to test it yet.
• unlike lucid dreaming (where we can confirm awareness inside dreams), there’s no current way to measure or prove someone is in a DR.
2. it relies on subjective experience.
• shifting is deeply personal—there’s no external way to prove someone’s consciousness is in another reality.
3. science still struggles to define consciousness itself.
• if we don’t fully understand what consciousness is, proving it can move between realities is even harder.
4. there’s no physical evidence of DRs existing.
• unless we discover parallel realities and a way to interact with them, shifting might remain in the realm of belief rather than science.
5. mainstream science is slow to accept unconventional ideas.
• even if shifting is real, it could take decades—or even centuries—for science to acknowledge it.
my verdict: will shifting ever be proven?
it depends on what shifting actually is.
• if shifting is a genuine form of multiversal travel, it might take quantum physics advancing far beyond what we currently know to validate it.
• if shifting is a unique altered state of consciousness, neuroscience might eventually find evidence through brain imaging studies.
• if shifting is something else entirely—something we don’t even have a framework for yet—it might never be proven in our lifetime.
but history has shown that just because science hasn’t proven something yet doesn’t mean it won’t. skepticism is often just delayed understanding.
so, will shifting be scientifically proven? not tomorrow, not next year—but if history has taught us anything, it’s that the impossible has a habit of becoming reality.
and when that day comes, best believe we’ll be the ones saying “told you so.”

Have you read Faggotization and The Extant Gender Ternary (https://thesizhensystem.substack.com/p/faggotization-and-the-extant-gender)? I'd like to know your thoughts on it
I have, and I think it's not a useful or consistent model of gender. I have three main issues with it.
Firstly, it fails to justify itself. It does not demonstrate the necessity and actuality of the terms it presents; it fails to demonstrate that there exists a division between so-called "legible" and "illegible" genders; and it fails to even discuss the division of labour in its supposed class structure. What relations give rise to gender? In the Marxist view, put forth by Engels, Kollontai, Zetkin, etc., the gendered division of labour is quite straightforward - as the first class division in ancient society, it separated between those people who were made to perform reproductive labour (that is to say, labour that reproduces the conditions of labour, such as cleaning, feeding, clothing, etc) and those that were not. The Marxist view also describes the breakdown of these gender relations, as capitalism does away with the domestic sphere of labour, and reproductive labour is increasingly socialised among the proletariat. In the supposedly "extant" gender ternary, what is the division? "Power" - power to do what? In this regard, the model of gender presented is vague and abstract, and lumps together various types of oppression through simplification.
Secondly, it is not a useful model in practice. The vagueness aforementioned does not lend itself to use in describing and critiquing oppression in concrete situations. Whether a trans man is the same 'gender-class' as cis women, or as trans women (and certain gay men, and sex workers) could be argued either way in the framework depending on the trans man in question. It has the problem of many 'theories of everything' - for instance, describing both the oppression of trans women and of sex workers with the same mechanism ends up weakening both. How are the categories of "faggot-subaltern", "not-power", and so on useful when organising? How do these direct practice, rally people towards doing away with these systems? The analytical model of transmisogyny, that which posits that trans women are oppressed because they are women, and because they are transgender, is straightforward and useful in practice. It is immediately clear where common interests lie, and with whom.
Thirdly, it represents a regressive trend in transgender theory. There is, at this point, a longstanding precedent in bourgeois academia of 'third-gendering' trans women. Generally, it is directed at the global south: a bourgeois academic notes the existence of trans women in a global south nation, notes that they are treated differently than both cisgender women and men, and declares that they are a 'third gender', which they name whatever the local equivalent of 'faggot' is. The newer development is opposition to this process - of transgender women in the global south rejecting the colonial claim that they are a third gender, and asserting themselves as women. While the supposed impetus behind the "extant gender ternary" is Marxism-Leninism, the 'class' system posited is almost anarchist in character; and, in its existence as applying imperialist sociology to the imperial core, it could easily, if inflammatorily, be described as approaching some sort of 'gender fascism'.
Overall, I do not think it is an accurate theory, nor do I think it is a useful model. I understand it is intended to be rudimentary, but its central issue is that it is working in the wrong direction, not that it doesn't go far enough.
