Throwing my own headcanon into the ring! :D

A while back I stumbled upon a doodle of Lance sewing, and from that sprung my headcanon that Lance sews his own capes! I can see it being another cool little cultural thing in Blackthorn, where parents or mentors teach their kids how to sew so they can make their own capes when they’re recognized as being particularly strong Dragon-type trainers. It would be something they take pride in showing off as a little bit of personalization! (Naturally Lance buys his fabric in Celadon, because that little crumb of lore about him buying identical capes at the Department Store is too silly for me not to work it in 🤣)

I like imagining now that when he was younger (much younger) he wasn't nearly as good at sewing and made very ragged, yet endearing, capes. They were really special to him as a kid and still keeps them around to reminisce and witness how much he's grown in his skill.

Celadon became a LIFESAVER when he learned they sold already prepared cloth that he needed to make the perfect dragon trainer-friendly cape. Later they saw that he started to be a regular at the store and started selling capes specially made for Lance. He's thankful for them but still doesn't mind sewing his own from time to time. :-)

The Penguins have re-signed Sidney Crosby to a two-year contract extension, running through the 2026.27 season and carrying an average annual value of $8.7 million.
