Chanelle Moon Thomas - Moon
Pairing: Chanelle Moon Thomas x Female Reader
Fandom: R U Next?
Summary: Chanelle always wondered why you loved the moon so much so one night she asks you about it.
A/N: I'm still in disbelief about her elimination and I miss my moon so much already😔 I swear if they don't pull Momo then I'm flying to Korea...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3rd's POV
Chanelle looked at the new message from you, another picture of the moon. She smiled at it finding it cute how you always shared with her stuff that you loved, especially since she knows that the moon was especially special for you. She just wasn't sure what was so special about it. She got up from her bed and out of her house, making her way to where she knew you would be. Whenever you had this little moon watching escapades you were always at the park near your houses.
After walking around for a bit she found you under a big tree in a more secluded part of the park, you were watching the moon while the soft tune of yours and Chanelle's favorite song played in the background. Chanelle smiled at the sight of you, she loved seeing you so relaxed and happy and if just simple looking at the moon made you happy then she was content with that. She took her jacket off and slowly walked up behind you, wrapping it around your shoulders.
At first you panicked but when the familiar perfume from the jacket reached you, you instantly relaxed again. You looked up seeing your girlfriend Chanelle standing next to you with a simple white t-shirt and sweatpants, her hands hidden in her pockets as she looked down on you with a soft smile "Hi there" She greeted you, her voice soft just like you loved it "Hi, were you looking for me?" Chanelle sat down next to you, nodding her head "Yeah, I wanted to make sure that you were wrapped in a jacket since you always forget to bring your own" You laughed at her comment.
"Maybe I just don't bring it because I know that you will come and give me your jacket hm? Your clothes are the best after all" You leaned your head on her shoulder as she smiled more at your words "Well you know that you can wear whatever you want from my closet. You look cute in my clothes" She put her hand on yours as she leaned her head on your own one. A comfortable silence took over you as you both watched the moon together. Suddenly a question appeared in her mind.
"Can I ask you something?" You looked up at her, eyes full of curiosity about what she wanted to ask "What's so special about the moon. You love it so much after all, it must be something big" She was curious, she knows you for so long now but she never knew why you loved the moon so much and now just felt like the perfect moment to ask. You smiled at her question before looking back at the moon "Well I have only one reason for it-" You looked back at her "I love the moon because whenever I look at it the one and only Chanelle Moon appears in my mind. It reminds me of you" A warmth appeared in Chanelle's heart as she could only wordlessly look at you with a smile bigger than you've ever seen before.
Before you knew it her lips collided with yours, her hand cupped your cheek as your lips moved in a sweet but also passionate kiss. It wasn't heated or anything like that, it was just a sweet kiss that showed you both how the other felt. It was magical, just like your every kiss with her but still, this one was the best one you've ever shared. You were the first one to pull away but Chanelle's hand stayed on your cheek, stroking it gently with her thumb as she admired you.
"What did I do to be so lucky to have you?" She asked you softly, your soft giggles made her heart speed up "You're just Chanelle. That's enough" You leaned your forehead against hers as she sighed in relief. Feeling so lucky that she had you, that she was enough for you and that you loved her for her just as much as you loved the moon.
She was the reason you loved the moon after all.

What's in a Name? — Miraculous Ladybug
1. DUPAIN-CHENG, AGRESTE & GRAHAM DE VANILY
1.1. Dupain-Cheng
Dupain: "of bread", in French.
Cheng: most likely from 程 (chéng) meaning "schedule", "journey", or "procedure". It is the surname of Chinese-born French academician and writer François Cheng.
Marinette: a diminutive of "Marie" and sometimes used as a form of "Marine", it is ultimately derived from an Egyptian name meaning "love, beloved", which was later associated with the Hebrew words for "bitter" and "rebellion". It is etymologically connected to the name of the Ladybug Miraculous: in languages like English and German, the ladybug is named after the Virgin Mary.
"Marinette" is also a noun in French, namely the feminine form of "marin", meaning "sailor", and was thus most likely also chosen in reference to Sailor Moon. In Middle French, it also meant "compass"—a tidbit to keep in mind when watching Captain Hardrock.
The name is very old-fashioned. It was most frequently used from 1927 to 1957, owing to the popularity of the book series "Contes du chat perché", whose main characters were named Delphine and Marinette.
Tom: short form of "Thomas", which comes from an Aramaic word meaning "twin". References series creator Thomas Astruc.
Sabine: from the name of an Italic tribe that inhabited what is now Lazio. Is a reference to the woman who initially inspired Thomas Astruc to create Miraculous Ladybug.
Gina: short form of several Italian names that end with "-gina", such as Regina or Georgina. Was popularized by Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida, whose birth name was Luigina.
Rolland: English variant of "Roland", which is in turn derived from two Germanic elements meaning "fame" and either "land" or "brave". Roland was the name of a semi-legendary Frankish military leader, whose story is told in the epic poem "La Chanson de Roland". Aside from the historical associations, it was probably chosen as a pun on "rolling pin".
Wang: "king", in Mandarin.
1.2. Agreste
Agreste: meaning "rustic" in French, it's also used in the figurative sense of "rude, uncivilized". Is also the French word for the greyling butterfly (Hipparchia semele).
Adrien: ultimately derived from the name of an Etruscan city, which in turn might have been derived from a word meaning "water". Was probably chosen in reference to the Adriatic Sea, since Marinette, Luka, and Félix's names also have a nautical theme.
Athanase: from "Athanasios", a Greek name meaning "immortal".
Gabriel: "God is my strongman", in Hebrew. This is the name of an archangel associated with carrying messages from God. Was most likely chosen in reference to fashion designer Coco Chanel, whose real name was Gabrielle.
Émilie: of Latin origin, it is probably derived from the word "aemulus", which means "rival" or "envious, jealous", and is etymologically related to the word "emulate". Is also most likely a reference to Emily Lyman, mother of Harry Osborn.
1.3. Graham de Vanily
Graham: from two Old English words meaning "gravel" and "homestead".
de Vanily: from the word "vanilla". Together with Emilie and Amelie's first names and their other surname, it forms a pun: in French, "Emilie/Amelie Graham de Vanily" sounds kind of like "un milligramme de vanille", meaning "a milligram of vanilla".
Fathom: from a unit of length equal to about 1.8 meters (6 feet, for the Americans), chiefly used in nautical measurements. As a verb, it means "to measure the depth of something", and is also used figuratively to mean "to comprehend, understand".
Félix: from a Latin word meaning "happy, lucky". Used to be Adrien's name in previous drafts of the story, and was thus most probably a reference to both Felix the Cat and Felicia Hardy.
Amélie: from a Germanic word meaning "work, activity".
Colt: from an English word meaning "young male horse", it was most famously the surname of American industrialist Samuel Colt, owner of the Colt firearms company.

brain melty, tear drippy: a playlist
the playlist: brain melty,tear drippy
the atmosphere: maybe it’s because you scored low on a test you spent all night cramming for, maybe because you’ve had another fight with your parents. whatever it is, it has been a long day. but you can’t sleep. you toss and you turn and you even count sheep but you just can't fall asleep.  you need release. you take out your diary but the words wont come.so you make up your mind. you pull on a jacket and slowly ease out the screen of the window nearest to your bed. climbing out noiselessly isn’t the easiest thing but you’ve had experience. once safely out, you make your way to the old park a couple of blocks away and perch on one of the less creaky swings. you start slowly but gain momentum quickly as all the negative feelings of that day leave your body with every breath of fresh winter air that you take in. pretty soon your nose in runny and you can’t tell if your eyes are watery because of the harsh wind or because of your own tears, but it doesn’t matter. you’re finally at peace.it’s 2 a.m. when you make your way home, and as you snuggle under the covers you’re grateful that it’s finally the weekend and you can sleep in.

Chanelle Moon Thomas - Lazy morning
Pairing: Chanelle Moon Thomas x Female Reader
Fandom: R U Next?
Requested by: Anonymous
Request: hiiii sorry for requesting while your on break..you don't have to answer this now I just wanted to get it out my head buttttttttt Chanelle x fem!reader? it can be anything you like.. thank you ❤❤❤ hope you have a good break as well lolll
Summary: Yours and Chanelle's favorite moment of the day was morning, especially when none of you had anything to do.
A/N: Soft Chanelle took over my brain so thanks for requesting bestie <3 A short one this time😅
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3rd's POV
You woke up to the feeling of arms holding you tightly. Chanelle's head rested comfortably on the top of your head as you were snuggled against her chest, smelling her perfume with every breath you took. Her warmth enveloped you and made you feel so safe that you didn't wanted to leave the bed anytime soon and fortunately for you both you and Chanelle had your days off that day which meant that you could stay in bed for however long you wanted.
Before you could try to fall asleep again Chanelle started stirring up awake. You looked up to see her slowly opening her eyes and blinking away the sleep before looking down at you with a smile "Good morning baby" She said hugging you closer to herself as you laughed at how cute she was in the morning "Morning baby, did you sleep well?" You rested your head back on her chest and started listening to her heartbeat "Yeah, did you?" You hummed at her question and soon the comfortable silence took over as you and your girlfriend just enjoyed each other's presence.
When you noticed that none of you were about to fall asleep you decided to break the silence "What do you want to eat for breakfast?" You looked at her only to be met with that smirk you knew too well "I'm not on the menu though" Chanelle whined at your words but still complied "How about pancakes?" You thought about it for a while before agreeing with her but despite figuring out what you want to eat, none of you made an effort to move, instead it looked like you were even more snuggled into your girlfriend.
"So are we gonna go eat now or later?" Chanelle thought about your question for a few seconds but soon she got herself more comfortable next to you "Let's just stay here for a little while longer, we still have the whole day after all" And soon you were trapped in her tight grip again where she intended to keep you for a while.
"I like that idea a lot"
It wasn't a surprise that you guys definitely fell asleep again just to get woke up hours later by Yunah and Moka who intended to take you both out to eat. At least you had your peaceful morning.

Hybes survival show 'runext' is so....questionable (Spoilers ahead)
First of all some of these trainees shouldn't even be here. The youngest is 12. She's japanese so her korean isn't very good and shes been consistently ranked lowly (i have nothing against Ena btw. i actually think shes could be a great main vocalist with more training) Its not just her. Two of the other trainees (one 16 and another 15) have only been training for under 3 months before this show. Why would they even let these girls compete? When they're going up against a 21 year old strong vocalist and another trainee that almost debuted with lesserafim? (ruka or haruka as shown in the lesserafim documentary)
Why? Because the 16 year old (wonhee) might be rigged to win. People are very upset about her and the discourse has become a little inappropriate. Her skills are lacking as you would expect from a 16 year old that's been training for 3 months and shes made mistakes on stage yet shes being given so much screentime and lines compared to other contestants. People are worried that hybe will debut her simply because of her looks. For this shes been brutally slandered online (she has also been well supported which only spurs the slandering more since they fear she might actually debut). Its clear her self confidence about this wasn't that strong to begin with and now (because hybe decided to put her on this show so damn early) shes being dragged online.
I also understand a 12 year old trainee isn't unheard of. Jihyo of twice began training at 8. however, this girl is being put on a survival show to DEBUT at the end...a sixth grader. And we all know how brutal these shows can get. This coming from hybe, one of the biggest labels of the industry. You didn't like them debuting Hyein of newjeans? Then you'll hate this show. (im also aware a 5 year old has debuted before but that doesn't mean we should be normalizing it!!!)
A more technical point to it being questionable is the given and taken and bad boy performances.
For given and taken: The lower ranked trainees were performing with the higher ranked ones but these teams were competing. A girl named Iroha from the lower rank team slipped and fell on a necklace. The lower rank team still won the performance. That's not necessarily a pity win in itself. (even though I strongly think it was since the other team had Jiwoo, the eldest trainee and the monster vocalist that was mentioned before who gave a near perfect performance.) What makes it obvious is that these teams were still ranked amongst themselves. And where did Iroha place? 2nd. Out of the 4 lower rank trainees on her team she placed 2nd after a fall.
For the bad boy performance: I really don't know what they were thinking here. Similarly, 3 trainees were performing the same song and were being divided into low, mid, and high ranks. Jiwoo was ranked low while another trainee, Jongeun, was ranked high. Now Jongeun gave a very well rounded performance but if you watch it you'll agree that both of her teammates outshined her. They frame it as a big surprise too. Because the whole time you're being shown Jiwoo being a great leader and having no problem lead the team to the best opening performance and then slaying. But then they hit us with her ranking as though she maybe was being a little too self assured and was given low because her abilities weren't all they were cracked up to be. That's how it feels. Except....she did amazing? She was right to be confident? It just felt mean spirited and in my opinion i think it's a stupid move to try and make her work harder or maybe shake her confidence. It just made no sense.
This is more of an opinion but I fear they are evil editing Yunah so she gets less votes because of how talented she is. I think Hybe wants the final lineup to be Jiwoo, Jeemin, Youngseo, Chanelle, Ruka, and Wonhee. The evil editing combined with them highlighting Jeemin and Yunah's little rivalry/friendship makes me feel like they want either one or the other to debut.
The last point is the setup of this show is god awful. Who came up with this ranking system? And why are all the songs absolutely shit for a survival show? Bad boy and given and taken are the only choices i really like. Attention felt like a hybe plug and while I liked the performance and that song, there's not much to display vocally. Its just a bunch of weird choices from weird people.
Anyways cool people vote Yunah and Jihyun <3

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will”
“Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless?  You think wrong!—I have as much soul as you,—and full as much heart!  And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you.”

DEVYN XAVIER-LEHNSHERR, our COURTNEY EATON fc is looking for a BIRTH MOTHER connection who looks like PLAYER’S CHOICE who is 45+YEARS OLD. you CAN contact prior to applying at queenofillusionsx. (Devyn’s birth mom is a closeted mutant who was scared of having a child in case they grew to be one. When Dev was born with lilac eyes, there was no mistaking what she was, so her parents gave her up. Now she is at Paragon to make amends, but it is the one topic she gets angry at so she won’t be happy.)
DINAH PRYDE, our KIERSEY CLEMONS fc is, looking for a OLDER BROTHER (FULL OR HALF, CAN ALSO BE ADOPTED !! ) connection who looks like UTP (MUST BE AT LEAST HALF BLACK IF A SIBLING VIA KITTY OR FULL SIBLING) who is 24+ you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( not to be a cliche heaux but uh give me an overprotective older brother who dinah adores pls )
EMMA FROST, our KATIE CASSIDY fc is looking for her TRIPLETS WITH SCOTT SUMMERS / TWO BIOLOGICAL, ONE ADOPTIVE connection who look like DAYA, LIZA KOSHY, SAFIYA NYGAARD, SEBASTIAN DE SOUZA, HARRIS J, ANY HALF-INDIAN FC IF BIOLOGICAL / RHENZY FELIZ, HAYLEY LAW, ARIELA BARER, ANY FC OF COLOR IF ADOPTIVE who are 16-19 YEARS OLD, 22 OR 24+ YEARS OLD. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( did u know that in an alternate universe scott & emma had five beautiful lil babies? bc they did. and with a tweak. that is what this wc is for. the frost-summers triplets would have prob had a psychic hive mind to rival the cuckoos if an attack hadn’t sent emma into early labour, resulting in one of them not surviving. the decision to adopt a baby in need of a loving home and complete the otherwise ruined trio? not an easy one to make, lets be real, but it was MADE, and the three have been raised as siblings from minute one. emma loves her babies. pls. give them to her. ) ( rohen frost-summers & open for two more ( bio ) )
ETIENNE BEAUBIER-JINADU, our ARIA SHAHGHASEMI fc is looking for a SIBLING connection who looks like NIKOHL BOOSHERI, TALA ASHE, YARA SHAHIDI, REECE KING, HAILEE STEINFELD, LALISA MANOBAN, MANNY MONTANA / PART IRANIAN IF BIO who is ANY AGE you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( the siblings were born in canada - their parents were good people but did the wrong things that got the siblings taken away from their parents. the two were together for awhile in foster care but were eventually separated into two different homes. etienne was eventually adopted into a loving family but it’s up to you what happened to the other sibling after they got separated! they were raised together. took care of each other. for awhile, all they knew was each other. they’re both mutants and their powers kind of reflect thanatos + hypnos, where tye is hypnos and the sibling has death-related powers like thanatos. the sibling can be half, full, adopted, fostered - whatever works. his url is svmnium if you wanna discuss things further! )
FABIAN TODD, our BOB MORLEY fc is looking for a BIO SIBLINGS ( 3 ) connection who looks like LIZA SOBERNO, JAMES REID, PARIS BERELC, KELSEY MERRITT, NICOLE ANDERSON, ASHLEY ARGOTA / ANY RELEVANT FC who is 18-25 you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( so they’re kids of mario falcone + his wife, though fabian doesn’t know it and doesn’t know they’re siblings because fabian was left in an alley not long after they’re birth. they probably won’t know that fabian is their sibling unless they became part of the crime amd mob part of their family,,, which would be really cool imo. )
NADIA KYLE, our ANA DE ARMAS fc is looking for a HALF SIBLING / CHILD OF TED GRANT & QUEEN HIPPOLYTA connection who looks like BLAKE JENNER, CASSADEE POPE, ODETTE ANNABLE / ANY HALF CUBAN, HALF WHITE FC who is YOUNGER or OLDER THAN 30. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( correct me if i’m wrong, but a child of ted “wildcat” grant and queen hippolyta of the amazons is… pretty hot, and i’d love to see them around the place ! this one is fun, because nadia has SUCH an appreciation for strong women as someone who was surrounded by them her whole life, and while this doesn’t mean she’s directly connected to wonderfam, it does mean she likes to think that she is, and probably cites herself as being “five percent wonder woman”. i’d like to think that while her relationship with thomas is more on the strained side - as he remembers her as her true self better than this version she’s become - there’s a chance she’s made more of an effort, here, out of sheer respect for their mother, and as such… means they could be MUCH closer, which is a dynamic that i’m here for. )
NADIA KYLE, our ANA DE ARMAS fc is looking for an OLDER HALF SIBLING / THOMAS BRONSON connection who looks like ANY FC AT LEAST HALF CUBAN who is 35+. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( where thomas really followed in ted’s footsteps… nadia really tried to become her mother, version 2, and that - i think - makes for a pretty interesting sibling dynamic. one is textbook good. the other… morally grey, at the best of times. i’m sure there’s love shared, but nadia didn’t really grow up around many males, either - especially not a lot who were older than her and related to her, so i imagine that she’s spent a great deal of time trying to outdo him. who’s to say she has? her relationship with thomas is probably about as strained as a sibling relationship she has could be, and i’m… so into it. )
NADIA KYLE, our ANA DE ARMAS fc is looking for her MOTHER / SELINA KYLE who looks like MELISSA FUMERO, JOANNA GARCIA / ANY CUBAN FC who is OLD ENOUGH. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( it may be a little cliche, all considered - but there’s a reason that nadia has become the person that she is today, and that reason… is selina. the love she has for her mother, and the idolization that she’s always felt towards her, is unmatched. nadia’s upbringing was unique in that it wasn’t just isolated to selina & ted. rather, it was a combined effort of selina, ted, holly, eiko - and everyone had a huge role, but no one really ever outshone her mother. she’s always wanted to emulate her, because in nadia’s eyes, there’s no one better - and while she’s made mistakes in coming down this road, and while she’s done things that even selina probably can’t be proud of… it’s all been in hopes of both… being half the woman that her mother is, and being someone that selina is proud of. )
NAOMI DANE-SUMMERS, our NAOMI SCOTT  fc is looking for a TWIN connection who looks like AVAN JOGIA, ALIA BHATT, GERALDINE VISWANATHAN, JESSSE RATH, KELLY GALE, SEBASTIAN DE SOUZA, LIZA KOSHY / ANY FACE CLAIM, who is 23 YEARS OLD. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( these two have always been close and taken care of each other. naomi’s about 30 minutes older than this twin, she was born on dec 31st and they were born on january 1st. think wanda & pietro as kids. they really just understood each other and have been attached at the hip since they could remember. naomi’s very introverted so it would be nice if the twin was more of an extrovert - but personality and everything is up to you! only requirement is that if they have a mutant hair color that it’s not green - so pink, purple, blue, white, etc - all very cool! )
NAOMI DANE-SUMMERS, our NAOMI SCOTT fc is looking for a YOUNGER SIBLING connection who looks like HARRIS J, ALIA BHATT, KELLY GALE, GERALDINE VISWANATHAN, DAYA, CHARLI XCX / ANY FACE CLAIM who is 16-22. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( naomi has never been the best older sister, but she does try. it’s possible for them to not be close and be kind of awkward around each other since maybe they don’t know how to be around each other? but naomi loves her baby sibling, despite being bad at showing it. only requirement is that if they have a mutant hair color that it’s not green - so pink, purple, blue, white, etc - all very cool! )
NAOMI DANE-SUMMERS, our NAOMI SCOTT fc is looking for a OLDER HALF SIBLING ( VIA LORNA & MARCOS ) connection who looks like EIZA GONZALEZ, KARLA SOUZA, SEAN TEALE, CHLOE BRIDGES, DAVID LAMBERT, ASHTON MOIO, TYLER POSEY, PETER GADIOT, MICHAEL TREVINO / ANY FACE CLAIM who is 26+. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( naomi is quite close with marcos diaz so i definitely imagine these two having a sort of close-ish relationship. they’re not full siblings but that part has never been important in their family - they’ve always been siblings. only requirement is that if they have a mutant hair color that it’s not green - so pink, purple, blue, white, etc - all very cool! )
ROSARIO HILL, our MELISSA BARRERA fc, is looking for a YOUNGER HALF SIBLINGS / ADOPTED SIBLINGS ( 1 to 2 ) connection who looks like DIEGO TINOCO, TRINITY ANNE, EDEN ESTRADA, SOFIA REYES, CIERRA RAMRIEZ, ISSA LISH, DANNA PAOLA, ARIELA BARER, MANPREET MABRA, LAURA HARRIER, TRISTIN MAYS, LULU ANTARISKA, KEKE PALMER, TAZZY PHE, TINA TAMASHIRO, TOMMY MARTINEZ, MARLON LANGELAND / AT LEAST HALF MEXICAN IF BIO, ANY FACE IF ADOPTED who is UNDER 25 you DON’T have to contact prior to applying.
WINONA FALCONE, our SHAY MITCHELL fc is looking for a OLDER SIBLING connection who looks like UTP / ANY HALF FILIPINO FC who is 27+ YEARS OLD. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( the oldest falcone ! mwahaha. so it’s this whole big thing that WINONA IS THE HEIR, but she wasn’t always. she has an older sibling who was disinherited from the family & cast out. a big ole family disgrace that none of them like to talk about. the reason behind this is up to you ! but it can range from being a MUTANT to a DEGENERATE to being SOFT to whatever. sofia is a pretty uptight gal. )
