The Soul Beast. Coming to theaters near you.

I’ve never really made an AU before so forgive me, this is based off of Murders from Miracle Musical.

(It was supposed to be really realistic and scary but all I can draw are doodles, hence the tense song vs silly creature lol. Pretend his big and terrifying.)

Right before the 1,000th loop Soul breaks down, he watches as mindscape crumbles around him while Heart and Mind fight. Instead of the loop resetting however, he hits his limit and abstracts into some sort of monstrous beast.

Heart and Mind only realize when it’s far too late, watching on in horror as a confused and scared Soul starts to thrash around and panic like a wild animal. One of them gets hurt trying to calm him down/figure out what’s happening and all hell runs loose. Soul chases the two into the woods, aggravated and not recognizing them.

Eventually they lose him, having to pilot Whole alone. The mindscape begins to deteriorate, Heart and Mind juggling between keeping Whole alive and stable, rebuilding their relationship, and figuring out what happened to their Soul.

They don’t have a lot of time. What’s a man without his soul after all?

Beast Soul doodles, still trying to figure out his design. His head quite literally ‘splits into two’ to form a mouth. No idea where the mane came from, he’s not based off of a lion, it was just the first thing that came to mind and now I can’t get rid of it. Still a work in progress!!! He might look completely different in the future. Im drawing/writing with vibes not planning.

And Metis bore a a daughter, not a son.

Still, from the day she is freed from her father's skull, Athena is a threat, loved yet hated, raised high and mercilessly torn down at the God King's whim, so she never considers trying to fulfill her brother's prophecy.

Olympus sees the Golden Child, the perfect princess, the favorite, but Athena knows better. She's flawed, in constant need of being disciplined, taught to do better, to overcome the weakness so deeply ingrained within her. Her father is merciful enough not to make her punishments public.

Ares may think he gets treated roughest by the Thunderbringer, so may Hephaestus. Neither of them expects their eldest sister to understand the pain from more than a bystander's perspective. They couldn't be more wrong.

Of Metis' bright-eyed daughter, and the man working tirelessly to make her spark dim. Of those who stood by helplessly, those torn down in the crossfire, and the mortal man who changed it all forever.
