I need to play more Hades <- girl who spent all of last night playing Hades
#shut up alli#‘did you only just now start a game that came out years ago?’ yes. next question#it’s so funnnnn so fun I’m having a lovely time#dungeon crawlers are one of my fave genres so I’m in my element! (I have died many times)#but the fun part about it is watching me get better and stronger with every new attempt. it gives a very solid sense of accomplishment#and the characters? oh my godddd they’re all awesome#I’ve always been very autistic about Greek mythology so obviously it is impossible for me to dislike anyone#Hypnos and Chaos reign supreme for me but everyone is very likeable#like idk props to the dev team I can tell they put their souls in it#it makes me even more excited for Hades 2 when it releases#I wonder if they’ll put it on switch or wait for the next console#I really can’t believe such a sick ass game was so cheap too. like 24.99 for me to have the best time of my life? bitch I’d tip if I could#I mean it was a bday gift too so ya know but still

Last summer I went to Budapest and apparently I downloaded the Budapest public transport app. Probably BC we couldn't for the life of us find ticket machines. Anyways. I just got a very informative email from them that the M3 is open again. Which is news that is very relevant to my life.

One of my favorite things about posting here is that I will most likely never see my post again. And I don’t mean that in a popularity sense, I just mean that it’s out of my hands.
That fucker is gone with the wind now. I threw a random string of words into an incredibly cursed abandoned well. Then I wait for the words to be fired back at me (after I’ve long forgotten it, aka, an actual minute later) with far funnier tags.

Absolutely fascinated by the Fairy Walrus Discourse. Naturally, I have a take:
This actually is also a fantastic illustration of a truism about Telling Stories that we all implicitly know but rarely acknowledge aloud: the improbable is far less believable than the impossible.
When you invoke the impossible, you silence the critically thinking, reality checking, lie detecting circuitry. Simpler rules reign supreme.
The Walrus, however implausible, is a thing which is real, and so whatever narrative you imagine either precedes or follows the reveal will be constrained by the envelope of the possible.
This is a webbed site all about Narrative.
The person answering the door to a Fairy is in a fairy tale, and frankly most of us would be overjoyed to find ourselves in a fairy tale. Fairy tales have sensible rules, structures we understand, tropes we love and hate.
A Walrus on your doorstep is just one more giant reminder that the world is a maelstrom of chaos, incomprehensible in its complexity, full of moving parts which obey no narrative. It’s another dose of “what fresh hell is this?”
A Walrus on your doorstep is a burden. A Fairy on your doorstep is an escape.
