PROJECT SEKAI ANTHOLOGY (DNA) VOL 1 CHAPTER 6
Okay let me say some bad news... my laptop won't come soon (or forever) so BSD Wan! translation will hiatus for a while but of course Prosekai still continue as those material are direct from mine~
I plan to edit previous Prosekai summary but with I said above it not gonna happen~ well White Day event gacha leave some impression too like I getting Mizuki with 5x10 pull (eventhough I want Akito/Tsukasa too for male costume) so yeah I'm broke now but I'm f2p anyways lol
For Genshin I will post one of my ikemen pokemon Ayato at day 1 version 2.6 out so just see how much I spend on him 🤣 (I pretty much saved for guaranteed now still at 50 with 50:50 but it really depend how much I throw for next Kazuha) while FGO got Dioscuri or not I still posting so don't suprise to see me update things unrelated to translation at next 10 days-ish (for them I save around 200 quartz and 40 ticket but it's FGO nothing can be guaranteed😅)
This time is about MMJ trained their photo session (just lesson). Then again I never read any MMJ centric stories so some misperception bound to happen 🤭
Like always my japanese english and add scanlation too pretty trashy so bear with me~

Things that I highlight from Light Novel Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple
So far, manganya sudah ada di chapter 94–and there is happening thing so big.
I cry a lot during consuming this fiction.

Langit hitam gelap gulita. Kalau kata Ango, ya paling ngga ada lilin di dekat aku (di mana ini menandakan kalau Ango itu deep down kesepian, based on buku psikologi yang Oda baca). Tahu ngga jawaban bukunya apa soal lihat bintang?
Terus Dazai bilang:
“You were right, Odasaku,” and he picked up his glass. “It’s certainly wonderful to be on the side that saves others.” Next to the glass was a white-and-red pill. “…If you plan on living, that is,” he added.

Sekilas info usia mereka: Dazai (22), Chuuya (22), Oda (26), Akutagawa (20), Atsushi (18), Kyouka (14), Ranpo (26)
Kyouka immediately looked back to find Dazai wearing his sand-colored overcoat. Atsushi quietly stared at him. It felt like it’d been ages since they last met.
“Atsushi,” began Dazai with a calm expression. “About what happened, I—”
“You were trying to protect the city, right?” Atsushi broke into a smile before Dazai could even finish his sentence. He naturally felt a warmth in his heart.
Dazai’s surprised expression turned pensive. “Do I really look like the kind of person who would risk his life to save others?”
Atsushi blinked at him quizzically because, to him, it was obvious. There was no doubting Dazai was a good person. He had no idea what Dazai even meant with his question. So Atsushi simply nodded and replied in earnest, “Well…yes.”
Dazai’s eyes bulged slightly. Before long, he smiled in amazement. His grin was bitter, yet sweet. “Whatever you say,” he muttered, then ambled past Atsushi and Kyouka.
Kalau nonton movie-nya, responsnya Kyouka diperlihatkan ketika Atsushi bilang iya.
Dazai finally can do good things.
“…I really hope he was able to fill his boredom and loneliness with something in the end.”
“Perhaps the two of them just wanted to get a glimpse of someone like them…” Ango thought of his old friend. “A man with a mind so extraordinary that he seemed almost alien… That was Shibusawa. Perhaps they wanted to see what he would do and how he would meet his demise… or perhaps how he would be saved.” He sounded somewhat sentimental. “The only three aliens in the world… We can’t even begin to imagine the isolation and loneliness they feel.”
Sini aku elaborasi.
Their feelings, their emotions, the way of thinking and their thoughts, their acts, itu semua terjadi atas serangkaian informasi dan pengalaman yang mereka terima.

uhm hi im kinda new to the fandom so I'm not really sure with almost everything that's happening but all i know is i love love love the series so far. To make this short in order to save time, I just wanted to ask in what order should i read/watch bsd? I'm on chapter 45 in the manga and I'm not sure what to do exactly after finishing it someday. Can you give/suggest me an order or list? Thank you very much!
Hello Anon-san! First of all, welcome to bsd hell!
The manga is a very nice start. In bsd there’s many things apart from the anime and manga so I am gonna explain shortly what each is together with my recommended order of reading/watching. So...
BSD Universe Guide
1) Manga (79 chapters so far, updating at the start of every month)
2) Anime ( Season 1, Season 2, OVA(Hitori Ayumu), Movie (Dead Apple), Season 3)
3) Novels (Only the first 2 novels are released in english. Some of the others might be translated online or there might be reviews. I’m gonna list them here together with alternative ways to learn the gist of their stories)
a) Dazai’s Entrance Exam (This one has been added in the first season of the anime, just with another timeline. It’s the Blue King/Messenger story. In the novel, the events happen 2 years before the anime timeline so Atsushi isn’t there and Dazai is a newbie fufu if you can get your hands on it though, then do so, it’s funny)
b) Dark Era (This one is depicted in the first 4 episodes of season 2. Some details have been changed and obviously the novel is better but you can understand the story just from the anime.)
c) Planning of Atsushi’s Entrance Exam + Founding of the Agency (This has not been shown anywhere. There should be translations/reviews online though. You can ask me for help finding them ^^)
d) 55 minutes (A completely new story in the current timeline. It’s fun and all but you don’t miss on the story so much even if you don’t read it. Again, if you can find it either online or when/if it’s released in english, do read it! It’s nice!
e)Dead Apple (Now this is just the scenario of the movie in novel form. You don’t have to read it to understand the story or anything.)
f) BEAST (This is an alternative story where Atsushi is in the Mafia and Aku is in the ADA, it doesn’t have anything to do with the original plot. But if you are curious, here’s a summary of it I had written while reading it.)
g) Fifteen (Dazai and Chuuya’s meeting story. It has been animated in the first 3 episodes of season 3 but there’s many parts that were cut and/or changed. You can read my summary/review of it here.)
4)BSD wan! (manga) Idk if anyone’s still translating it currently but there are many translated chapters and it’s hella funny and if you enjoy some comedy then you should totally read it!
5) Dead Apple Manga (It’s updating online in japanese currently. Idk if anyone’s translating it but it follows the events of the movie mostly so there’s no urgency to read it. But there are some extra scenes that are based off of an originals story for the game)
6) Bungou Tales of the lost (Mobile game, there’s also an english version. It has most of the stories and some few original scenarios like the one I mentioned above.)
7) BSD Gaiden (A completely side story featuring completely other characters but in the same universe. Ango appears in it. Tsujimura, who appears in the movie, first appeared here. And actually also meets Chuuya in it.) Now this has both a novel and a manga. If you are interested, you can find part of the manga translated online.
Okay I think that’s all. Just the manga and novels are enough to enter the BSD world but if you wanna get in deeper there’s many things you can do. If reading is to your liking then take the time to read some of the books the original authors had written. No Longer Human is awesome for example XD
I hope this was enough answer to your question ;; Feel free to ask me if you need help with something more specific too ^^ I’m happy to help bsd buddies!

Yes I'll read the manga soon! In what order should I read all bsd content? Like there's the main bsd manga, beast, wan, dead apple manga and the light novels? I always mean to begin but I get so overwhelmed looking at all the content djnssn - 🐬anon
hmmm i for one started wth manga and while waiting for the updates, started on the light novels
wan manga goes just like the animated version so it can be read anytime
i'll write the names + synopsis of each light novel so you can pick an order for yourself if you want? dont rush too much thought, taking it slow makes it more enjoyable imo (also dead apple has a light novel too which i'll mention between 55 Minutes & Stormbringer. i think beast has a novel too aside from the manga but im not sure) there is also bsd gaiden novel And manga but ive not started them so i don know mych abt it aside from that it's a spin off.
i'll put the light novels under the cut bc it got long.... anyawys i did my bsd order as: anime, manga, 3 light novels + wan anime + some chapters of wan manga, 12 chapters of beast manga, light novel#4 (just finished). rn i'm continuning light novels in publishing order but
if you want to read them in chronological order with the manga you can go with: untold origins, stormbringer, dark era, entrance exam, bsd manga (pause after the whole thing with americans), dead apple (can be novel or manga or both), continue manga, (put 55 minutes somewhere between if you want or read it before dead apple)
as beast itself is an alternative reality, it can be read at any time you want! enjoy!!! i hope you like the manga and novels 1!! good night
bsd light novels go as:
1 - dazai osamu's entrance exam (as the title suggests, as well as the azure king conflict. it originally happened during dazai's entrance exam while bsd anime has happening on atsushi's first weeks. it's p good and from kunikida's pov, his descriptions of dazai are amazing)
2 - dazai osamu and the dark era (basically the first 5 episodes from season 2. there are few minor differences but it's pretty much the same as the anime. i like the novel better though)
3 - untold origins of detective agency (basically how ranpo and fukuzawa first meet, with a cameo from a character you wont expect... when i say i almost yelled- it's amazing and made me grew more into ranpo. it gives a wide insight on ranpo and his past and why he is the why he is.)
4 - 55 minutes (with atsushi in center this time. i found it boring at first but p informative regarding the nature of skills and some mentions of classical authors such as shakespeare, verne... as well as "the war" that took place years ago. also sskk bickering as always<3)
5 - dead apple (if i recall right, asagiri's plan for dead apple originally was v different from what we got in the movie. both shibusawa's talent and the outcome. i think it's either his initial plans or this novel "the king of yokohama" dazai concept art origins from. i'll start this after finishing setting sun so i cannot speak for sure.)
6 - beast (what if atsushi and akutagawa switched places? what if dazai found the book and used it to shift to the alternative universe where odasaku hadn't died? i was reading it's manga and the skk tension was amazing<3 it will get a live action soon as well)
7 - stormbringer (huge lore regarding chuuya and his origins/backstory. also the origin of "dazai living in a cargo container" concept art............. i hate him</3. anyways this takes one year after Fifteen and is a must read for chuuya fans)

Note
helloo~ i just finished watching the anime which made me ajdsbsidb and i wanted to read the manga. but im a bit confused, is the 'wan!' is also the light novel series? and where should i also start reading?
Hello! Glad you enjoyed the anime~! Hope this quick list will help:
Chapters 1-37 (EGS)
Chapters 38-Current (DazaiScans)
Vol 1 & Vol 2 (YenPress)
LN1: Dazai Osamu’s Entrance Exam(Episodes 6-7); Illustrations
LN2: Dazai Osamu and the Dark Era (Episodes 13-16); Illustrations
LN3: The Untold Story of the Founding of the Detective Agency (Chapter 1 here); Summary; Illustrations
LN4: 55 Minutes; Summary of 1st Half; Illustrations
Bungou Stray Dogs Gaiden: Ayatsuji Yukito VS Kyougoku Natsuhiko; CM
Bungou Stray Dog Wan! (Spin-off featuring the BSD characters drawn in SD/chibi form, updated every Thusday, 24:00H JST.); Some translations compiled here and here.
Bungou Stray Dogs Ep 25 (OVA): “Moving Ahead Alone” (Ch 40) - To be released 2017 Aug 31; CM
Bungou Stray Dogs Movie (Upcoming) - Theatrical release TBA
To clarify, BSD Wan! is just a spin-off that has nothing to do with the canon timeline. One could argue that the anime’s timeline also slightly diverges from the manga/light novels when they moved LN1 to the current timeline though.
And to give an idea of the general timeline in case you’re wondering: LN3 (8 yrs prior) - > LN2 (4 yrs prior) -> LN1 (2 yrs prior) -> Gaiden (Bet 1-2 yrs prior) -> CH 1-37 -> LN4 (Set some time bet CH 37-46) -> CH 38 -Present arc
#bungou stray dogs#text#ask#resource#kindaaaa#man i should really update the masterlist#but motivation#where#asks

Get to know the author
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
Funnily enough, Pride and Prejudice is involved. Specifically, the line “for what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?” I was about 16 and an anxious mess fighting with my family about my course load (I lost - they made me swap from advanced calc to regular calc) and wanted to remind myself that I’d always find that laughter again.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos).
If we’re talking AO3? Avoiding Politics the Obi-Wan Kenobi Way, which is a collaboration with @timesandteacups. If we’re talking fics that I wrote alone, it’s Love Courage Strength.
On FFN, Venatori reigns supreme.
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
It’s the same stylized firebird as my tumblr icon, which also happens to be my FFN icon. Why mess with a good thing?
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Yes, but it varies story by story. I have more regulars on FFN, but that’s entirely down to Venatori again.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
There are a few. i just happen to like apples (i am not afraid of snakes) is a delight, and I use the entirety of @deadcatwithaflamethrower‘s works as an incentive to get shit done. Also amusewithaview introduced me to possibly my favorite variant on the soulmates trope, so.
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I’m not currently subscribed to any stories, but I have 36 bookmarked on AO3 and 54 on FFN. I keep meaning to bookmark stories and then forgetting. Maybe once I get my applications in and the house is sold and I find ten minutes to breathe?
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Currently I’ve got two soulmates fics in the works. I am a sucker for the trope. Otherwise my strong point is “let’s shove this pebble into the stream and see how it diverts” (which, uh, has taken the form of character death?)
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
AO3 stats Subscribed to me: 33 Subscribed to my works: 575 Bookmarks: 587
FFN stats: Author alert lists: 48 Favorite author: 39
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Nothing springs to mind.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
Updating better. I’ve been so busy with things going on in brickspace that it’s severely impacted my ability to write. If I can get more efficient with my writing time, I can update again.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
I... don’t often write ships, honestly, and when I do they’re usually happening in the background. Sunrose Transplanted would be the exception, but since I was deliberately addressing the events after an elopement...
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
29 works
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
I am embarrassed to admit that I don’t know. I have a lot of partials that are probably never going to be posted, or will only be posted in the event of my death as a sort of “here are the things she was working on” memorial. Currently I have 5 I’m sort of working on here and there?
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
Write them down. If it’s not been written down, it’ll get lost. This is occasionally a problem, because I frequently have FANTASTIC ideas while in the shower, so I’ll be scrambling for a notebook with damp fingers while my hair’s still wrapped in my towel.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Yes, though only my collaborations with @timesandteacups have been posted so far. I’ve got one with @rustingroses in the works right now.
16. How did you discover AO3?
Credit for introducing me to AO3 goes to @rustingroses
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
Not remotely, but I’m cool with that.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Nope. Is that a thing?
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Tamora Pierce, Diane Duane, Terry Pratchett, Diana Wynne Jones... I’m certain I’m forgetting some.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
If you’re not having fun, then why do it? Find a way to make it fun and don’t let anybody bully you into writing in a way you hate.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
A bit of both. I go into fics knowing what the major highlights are and then figure out how to get from point A to B or R to S as I go.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
I’ve responded in three different ways. Most bad comments, I’ve just ignored. On occasion I’ve asked for clarification, mostly when someone has an issue with how I’ve tagged. And once, I snarled at them - this was a reader who came in telling me they were “here to help [me] improve my writing” and made a bunch of... kind of condescending suggestions. My grandmother had just passed away, I was very jet-lagged, and when I checked I noticed that they had 0 works to their name. So I told them where to get off. I don’t plan to do that again, and I definitely wouldn’t have under better circumstances.
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Probably smut, because I almost never write it.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
Priority goes to my Yuletide submission. Otherwise I’m vaguely working on the next chapters of Avoiding Politics and Venatori, two soulmate AUs for BSD, and a BSD fic that I’m going to collaborate on @rustingroses with. We have very different writing methods, so we’ll see how that one goes. All of them except my Yuletide are on the furthest back burner, because I’m applying to graduate schools and helping my parents get the house ready to move.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
Oh god yes. I have a massive plot bunny hutch and actually find I work best when I can swap between things.
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Ahahahaha no. I don’t have time right now.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
Absolutely.
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
I have to pick? Um. Probably Venatori
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
Probably Worship
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Hopefully someone who has finished Venatori and has developed better writing habits.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
Individual scenes. I have scenes show up in my head as clearly as if I was watching them on a TV screen, and all I need to do is get them down on paper/in a word processor
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Getting from Point R to Point S. I know what needs to happen, what I don’t know is how I’m getting there.
33. Why do you write?
Because I have an idea, and I think it’s cool and want to share.
Consider yourself tagged if you wish to be tagged!
