This fic is GREAT - it's werewolf!bucky, but set in canon events. The relationship between him and Steve in this is amazing, Also, tons of competent Bucky and Steve. This fic is well written, sad, funny as hell, etc.

Caughtinanocean posted again after a 3 year hiatus and it’s really good!!! Bucky is a werewolf AU, post CACW recovery fic. Mostly takes place in Wakanda. Good amount of angst but overall I found it pretty cute because they’re just so besotted. The writing is excellent, the plot is solid, and the premise is handled very well.

The cold fingers against his pulse didn’t hurt.

The demon portrayed no evil intent, choosing to wrap its shadows around Steve’s limbs as he leaned his human form closer to the cadet, pink lips ghosting over the shell of Steve’s ear as he breathed the human in.

There isn’t a world for a lycan and a vampire, but somewhere between a subway station and a safe house, a Black Widow bite and the rising tide of lost memories, Bucky finds himself doubting everything he thought he knew - including that age-old rule about never falling in love with a werewolf.

97k words of good stuff, complete and rated E. A great enemies to lovers fic where the burn isn't that slow, but the length makes it a bit of a wait anyway. Really great writing, Bucky’s character voice is great, and the internal conflict between his hate for werewolves and attraction to Steve is simply so goood! From the perspective of someone who hasn’t seen the movie, the plot was also very interesting!
