So wait, Marvel gets the Quiet Place Dad cast as Mr. Fantastic, which a lot of people wanted, but instead of having him (or any of The Illuminati) do anything remotely cool, they have Wanda just kill him and the rest of the Illuminati pathetically and brutally?

Instead of having The Illuminati all shine, do cool things and then die, they die horribly and don’t even do anything. The issue isn't them dying, the issue is that they all got humiliated to wank off Wanda.

Regarding how the special cameos were treated in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, I know that a lot of people in the fandom were upset, which is fine. It makes sense, especially with a LOT of the build-up being centered on the surprise appearances. Then there’s the fact that we got “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which was all about characters from other universes hanging out with each other. 

For me, “DSitMoM” felt more akin to how multiverse characters are treated in the comics. I don’t know how to explain it other than that Marvel (and DC) don’t have any qualms killing off alternate versions of the characters. It’s that mindset of “who cares, they’re from a different universe anyways”. 

So this is one of the few times where being “comic accurate” got a negative reaction lol.
