Charles’ Red Sweatervest vs Henward’s Red Sweatervest
So, I know I already talked at some point on here about the fact that Charles’ moustache is actually a “wig”/fake moustache & so giving him the Scott-esque stache is definitely an intentional character choice-

-but Charles ALSO had a red sweatervest in S4, just like Henward, while ALSO wearing a grid shirt that reminds me a lot of Owens’ shirt:

And also, S2 Erica’s shirt in the breakfast scene is extremely similar to El’s rose shirt at the end of s4 (duringn a scene where we get a closeup of Charles reading a newspaper, of course):

Anyway! I’m just staring at the sinclairs like. what’s Up with you guys??? especially with the chuck e’s in love thing in TFS (which, that song was written about a guy named Charles Edward) being said towards Charles….
Is that red sweatervest “Henry” actually Edward??? And what’s going on with the Sinclairs and all of the weird subtext vibes happening bere??

I really don't get the amount of hate ted wheeler gets! The amount of times I've seen him compared to Lonnie Byers and Neil hargrove, claiming that ted is as abusive as them.
Sure, he does seem to be emotionally absent at time, especially with the older two. But that doesn't make him abusive. He obviously cares about his kids but doesn't seem to know how to connect with them.
To be honest, he's one of the better fathers on the show, because there's not many and the ones we either see or hear about really aren't great.
I would only put him behind Charles Sinclair in the best fathers on the show. I think he's a better father than Hopper, because he doesn't lose his temper (on screen, or in any mention) the way Hopper does.
Yeah. My opinion is ted is not winning any father of the year awards, but compared to the others in stranger things, he's a pretty decent dad.
literally one of the most normal dads in the show. especially because he’s supposed to be the typical trope-y 80s dad. kinda distant, but ultimately cares about his children, and we do see that throughout the show! he spends time with holly, he offers to comfort mike after will’s death, and it’s karen that stops him.
charles is 100% first on the best dad list, and no one can take that away from him. best husband. best dad. hopper has good intentions, but s2 hopper is really the best we see of him, and even then he’s still got anger issues.

Speaking my truth:
Charles Sinclair and Bob Newby are the best father figures in Stranger Things. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.
#i like hopper but he's aggressive and can't show emotions#he threatened a 13 year old child with violence because he couldn't talk normally to him#bob would never he was patient and kind#exactly what will jonathan and joyce needed#edited because I completely forgot mr sinclair#he is obviously the best dad out there#we need more insights of the sinclairs because their parents are the best ones in the show#stranger things#charles sinclair#bob newby

I feel the need to tell you that I noticed 2 Charles when rewatching st : the weatherman and the pastor. So either Mr. Sinclair is busy or Hawkins has three different guys named Charles
idt he's the pastor bc if he were i would THINK he'd have thoughts about jason's public espousings re: his son even more
HOWEVER both the thought of charles having 5000 jobs like that one guy in the painted lady episode of atla and the thought of him being the weatherman, which would make lucas and erica children of a micro celebrity are i n c r e d i b l y funny to me.
also, charles is v much this no nonsense guy in the few glimpses we get of him and i'm so endeared by the thought of him being So serious about announcing the weather and super sincere when he gets recognized and everyone knowing him. just this vietnam vet who has a passion for meteorology?? amazing.
it doesn't really fit with the evident low visibility of black people in canon, but consider this: it would be very funny.
