Been chipping away at this lineup for months and I'm having a blast. We've been running this rpg campaign for almost a year now!!

Character design - Mandy 🍬

Second batch of character design analysis from yours truly, this time featuring brawlers requested by various users. 

I’m not a professional whatsoever but I thought it’d be fun to express my thoughts about the visual design (but not only) of these characters, so take my opinions with a pinch of salt!

Today, Mandy! Requested by @diegosstuffs

Mandy is the Queen of Candyland, that’s made pretty apparent by her medieval ruler attire.

From the crown she wears at all times to the oversized sceptre, everything about her looks communicates cartoonish royalty, pretty representative of her personality. The clothing allows Mandy to appear both bossy and important + youthful and energetic trough the combination of old-timey (example: large shorts and stockings) and modern elements (example: jacket being shaped like a crop top hoodie).

Her pink cheeks alongside the big pigtails make her feel childish, once again an appropriate choice, with said hairstyle additionally resembling a wrapped candy. Same can be said about the decorations on her shoes, sweet details just like the sprinkles on the “fur” of her jacket.

I enjoy the design visually and I think it works really well, the only that I believe looks odd is her super small waist in the model. Maybe it’s just me tough.

Other than that, effective and fun to see in action. Make her waist a tiny bit bigger and this design is a solid 8/10 for me

I went back and redesigned my version of April from my TMNT au

Let me give a quick description of her character

At the beginning of the au, she is 18 older than any of the turtles. She is as well 5"8

She helps Donnie in leading the team, but she also tends to get the others riled up and cause trouble.

She is also the closest with Donnie and mikey.

Unlike the turtles, she actually changes her outfit every day because she actually has a closet, full of clothes, unlike the turtles. And a house.

Now, I want to show the original design just to show how much of a glow up between then and now

I honestly I think the newer one is better, plus my new art style is as well compared to my old one.

art of my friend - 7/10. I thing this was good for one of my first realistic drawings.

Pinterest image recreation - 6.5/10. I like how I did the lighting but that brush is so ASS like damn also it's pretty choppy. the lighting saved it tho

dr. flug - 8/10. I likey BUT his head is very deformed and the lines are a bit wonky once you stare too long

lemon demon damn skippy album character - 9/10. I think I cooked with this one

kaito and meiko - 8.5 /10. also nice but I kinda gave up on kaitos hair. meiko looks cool tho :3

wilt - 9/10. experimented with no outlines for once!!! I liked it!

scout, pyro and soldier - 7/10. a bit rushed and looks weird to me but I can't explain what makes it look weird

rouxls kaard, matt and medic?!?!?!!!???????? - 2/10. this was obviously a shitpost but I am ashamed of making it

miku????? - 4.5/10. this was when I was first developing my cartoony art style. she looks like a loud house character >:(

BETTER matt - 7/10. nice but wayyy oversaturated. not that I hate oversaturated colors I love them but it doesn't feel right here

benrey hlvrai - 7.9/10. I like what i did with the colors and no outlines and stuff but it still feels wrong

character design ideas - 8/10. would be 7 but the one to the left actually won me 1st place in a character design contest!!! (it was a better drawing of her tho)

this thing - 9/10. I think it looks super cool!!! a bit choppy as well but nonetheless I like it!

another character idea - 7.6/10. I wasn't sure what the vision was here but it's pretty nice

dtiys - 7/10. also feels kinda wrong but kinda right at the same time. like the face and poofy hair. don't like the arms.

DAVE AND BAMBI FANART???? - 2/10. WHAT WAS I DOING (I can never draw these two)

old medic - 5/10. I've greatly improved how I draw him 💔💔
