My favourite little feature is, during the Desert Festival, if you talk to Jas she mentions about wanting ice cream - if you give her said item she responds to it and will give the :3 any time you talk to her afterwards.

Meet Charo, a new OC whose making their first and last appearance.

Charo is a Stardew OC whose concept can be summed up as "the mod folder personified". They are a shapeshifting mage who is a peer of Rasmodius, and keeps at arm's length with the town, sans the farmer, who they offer many services to that can boil down to quality-of-life luxuries to make the farmer's workload easier if they so choose. They have a strong association with crows, and can (and often has) used their magic to turn into varying levels of crow, from the bird outright, to a monstrous hybridized form for combat sake. Though mutually distant with the rest of town, they have a longing to find purpose, frequently exhaust themself to near breaking points in their pursuits, and assist Rasmodius in keeping the valley in check and stepping in to protect the valley's inhabitants from potential dangers.

They were also an unfortunate lightning rod of burnout, as they couldn't even wait until they were finished before I went from 'being excited to elaborate more in detail of Charo's entire deal and what makes them tick' to 'no longer feeling comfortable with Stardew in totality and gave up on this OC entirely', and sunk cost fallacy of what was already done had prevented me from scrapping this entirely (though didn't save attempts at a proper sprite sheet otherwise, which I definitely gave up entirely on at this point).

Between personal life happenings, and my drawing tablet getting damaged in the process, it all but sealed how completely Done I am with this OC, and if they ever make an appearance again, it'll probably be heavily retooled from this iteration.

As glad as I am to give Charo a send off, as it were to at least have ONE finished pic of them, it was a really unfortunate ride, and also unfortunate I lost a lot of the original joy to attempt to make the rest of their alt forms anymore.

the discovery of the cheat code in Bionicle GBA is great because the infinite lives cheat helps offset one of more unfortunate game design conflicts of that game. it features large open levels which are meant to be thoroughly explored, but the system of limited lives means you'll constantly be restarting the levels from the beginning and undoing all of your exploration efforts, forcing you to retread all of that ground in order to reacquire the lightstones and matoran you lost.

a limited lives system can work fine in an arcade-style linear action game (like, say, Matoran Adventures), but there's a reason you generally don't see that sort of thing in exploration-heavy games.

with infinite lives, though, that stress is completely removed, and you're free to explore the levels without being forced to redo everything every 10 minutes. i hope that will allow more people to enjoy the game! the controls are a bit strange, but i find it quite fun otherwise, and you get used to the controls after enough playtime.

I have Sims 4 Undertale characters to and it's so funny when they do something totally in character like Sans died of laughter and Frisk begged the Grim Reaper to spare him and he did only for Sans to proceed to die of laughter AGAIN, Toriel was very upset and Papyrus was absolutely traumatized. Gaster revived Sans with one of the spells that came with Realm of Magic so everything was fine in the end, I am still laughing over it.

Niestety mod jest tylko w j. angielskim, a dodatkowo nie jestem w stanie go przetłumaczyć, bo twórca nie wyodrębnił tekstu do tłumaczenia z pliku .script 😕

Dlatego poprosiłam go, aby zaktualizował moda tak, aby dało się go przetłumaczyć. No, ale jednak nie wydaje mi się, żeby rozważył/zauważył moja prośbę, jeśli mam być szczera 🫠

Anyway, nawet jeśli w końcu nie będę w stanie zrobić do niego tłumaczenia to i tak polecam pobrać ten mod!

The other set of Vargases came over for a visit and Scriabin picked up Shmee and started talking to Scriabin through him. Very normal, very usual

I downloaded some circle-glasses recolours and hghghh they look so good! Closer every day to his final details! Getting ever closer!

Edgar too! I made him a custom hair with a lighter undercut - I’m mostly happy with it, probably could’ve shifted it a shade closer to his skintone but the texturing was weird no matter what :P And his stripey shirt! I wish Body Shop didn’t have that hands-on-hips pose lol, it looks so much better in-game, but that’s all the better :)

I got some new clothes for Todd as well! As soon as I saw this ‘fit I was like “Oh that’s 100% Todd there he is.” Scriadad hug ♥ So cute
