Chapter 21
An Unfortunate Fate
Part 1/2
???? pov:
Slaming there head against the wall making them unconscious...
I watched as the Cosmanians hand bleed as I left
Making sure no one else had awoken, down the hall, I swiftly allowed myself and teleport unnoticed to the window, where the darkness ended. I slid ppen and slipped out, my claws hitting the soft grass outside before I spread my wings and took flight
A chilled night time breeze brushed passed me with each beat of my wings as I flew over the earthen landscape below
Soon enough I came across a path, cutting through a small standing of trees untill it opend into a an adequate clearing. Standing in that clearing was a building constructed out of stones and bricks, and with a tall tower string in the air. The windows along with the walls were stained glass with colorful designs emerged from the dim moonlight.
I landed in fron of the large front doors, taking a glance around before quickly pushing my way into the abandoned building
Narrator pov:
Expanding infront of him was a sanctuary, may rows of pews lined up to a more elevated area, where the altar stood. A church, it was called. Apparently supposed to be a place of Worship for humans to whatever God they looked up to...
What they used to look up to...
??? Pov:
I teleported quickly with the potion in hand. I teleported away but unfortunately loosing the potion inside of the castle where the Ancient lived. I teleported out of there as quickly as possible before anyone had saw me, I spotted myself inside an old abandoned church.
I saw him quietly pacing to and from behind the altar. His strict gaze was absent, deep in thought, his claws beind his back and his tail swaying side to side. His posture was of dominance, of intimidation. Just like he King he once was...
At the realization of my presence, I felt his cold eyes on me. It was all I could do other than shiver in fear and nervousness. I could never be comfortable with the way he looks at me. His high-ground advantage made me feel even more inferior that I already was
"You've returned early..."
He remarked
"I hope for a good reason?"
His query snapped me out of the frozen trance I had suddenly found myself trapped into. I shook my head, trying to release the tension I felt
"M-my lord..."
He tilted his head, as he reaches out his hand expecting something from me
"The potion..."
"..."
"Very well..."
He pulls back his hand to his back again, I wanted to speak but a Growl edging his tone, his abhor of the Ancients kind was never hidden from me
I could sense his frustration from where I stood. I knew why. I needed to calm him down before he starts to lach out
"But my lord! I know where it is!"
He paused, his gaze flickering to me once more...
"Oh do you?..."
A slight sense of fear suddenly began crawling down my back sending shivers down my spine...
"Y-yes m-my- lord"
"Wel, then by all means...tell me more..."
He smiled. Not in comforting motion at all. His sharp teeth gleamed menacingly in the dim light. His eyes shine with gleeful malice
I swallowed my fears 'he needs me...he would never kill me'
"It's I a castle...where an...ancient lives if you know what I mean..."
I answered
"Him?..."
He scoffed
"Wel atleast he's one of the more 'less pathetic' ones"
The way he spat the word 'pathetic' like it was venom was on his tongue made me flinch
"Atleast the plan is working nonetheless...."
He said
"We just have to be more careful about out new...playmates...Ancients aren't aren't be trifled with...I've seen what they can do...Especially Mesa..."
I decided not to push his final remark. He turned away, not giving me the slightest hint of gratitude at my following his word
"Grab the potion...and find out about as much as you can. Maybe we can get him out of the way more easily if we know more than we currently do"
I sighed
"Yes my lord..."
*Click!*
Mr. Peterson pov:
'What in the multiverse?!'
I stepped back from the broken window of the church, hand on the gun I carried with me as I ducked around the edge of the frame. I had heard something in the night that woke me up, and I'd come to investigate. Now I'm beginning to regret it...
Te creatures within the abandoned church were still speaking, speaking of the ruin they seem to be planning something for the human race...for 'us'. 'This isn't good...'
I fingered at the safety of my pistol (bruh where did you get that-), slowly pulling it out of my pockets. If that guys were here to kill everyone, they had to be killed. Or maybe injure one of them to hinder there progress, then warn he others...
*click!*
I forgot about the 'Click' sound of loading the gun. I heared a faint Growl fron inside the church, my heart dropped as i heard the creature Growl in notice of the sound of I've just made
It's companion grumbled with a form of annoyance
"Someones here...find them, meet me back here tomorrow. Midnight. Once you finished the job"
"What do I do with them?"
"What else do you 'think' your going to do with them?..."
The othe reason silent. I didn't quite understand on what they ment...but all inknwo is that I should start running, but seeing this was my chance, an opportunity.
I whipped out around the corner aiming to gun directly at the three eyed-winged creature. Suddenly...a must of darkness obscured blocking my view of the creature, glowing purple eyes shining through for a split second before vanishing
I was tossed backwards by an invisible force, landing on my back a few feet from where I stood from. It was only after is scrambled to my feet and began to flee he scene, I noticed that i dropped my gun on the grass...
'No time to turn back!'
I thought with lament. As such as it comfort me tobhave atleast some form of protection. I'd have to wait till or I'd be dead by morning
I trampled on some tree roots, stumbled a few steps and regained balance as I sped through the dark.
My only light was the dim, silver illumination of the full moon above, broken by the branches and leaves of the forest roof. I could tell that one of the creatures wasn't far behind, I needed a place to hide. But i wouldn't want want risk the whole camp getting killed...

But...Unfortunately....
I wasn't destined for safety...
