Daily Doodle:

OC from a long running universe of mine (microcosm?), first of the False Necromancers the Bug Queen Syran Cher. I've been trying to work out how her powers work a bit more recently, I know she summons an undead swarm to devour things in order to sustain herself and played with the idea of her destroying her body to make bugs from her cells? Or like here, I guess just coughing up a swarm painfully since she was sick before getting her powers...

This isn't also just me feeling like I was going to throw up all day or anything.

I'm not all that happy with the hands and arm posing but I couldn't do the pose myself for reference since I was in the middle of class, but I do like my use of color.

Nice Thing That Happened Today: I organized a small collection of chopsticks in the mailroom that were supposed to get picked up by volunteers as thanks for helping the Asian Student Association with that Autumn Festival on Friday. I re-labeled them all for clarity, put them in numeric order, then wrote down all the chopstick numbers and put it on the board by the computer so it could be easily checked while looking up package pick-ups. The system worked fantastically and saved us at least three minutes of searching around closing, so I'm quite satisfied with myself.

Adulty Thing I Did Today: Laundry (mine and the dish towels + bath mat).

---make sure to prioritize work in classes that you may be doing poorly in so you can get your grade up

♥︎ understand which subjects may be difficult for you, and set aside time to focus on improving in those areas---you don't have to be perfect, but you should still apply yourself

♥︎ use any in-school time to get your work done so you can have more free time at home

step three: communication

♥︎ don't be afraid to advocate for yourself

♥︎ reach out to your teachers via email, or speak to them when appropriate during class if something is confusing you, or if they entered a grade incorrectly

♥︎ always drink water while studying to ensure your mind is awake and active

♥︎ take breaks!! everyone is different, but a 10-15 minute break for every hour of work will prevent you from becoming overwhelmed

♥︎ make time for yourself outside of your studies

---example: spend time with your family/friends, read books that you find interesting, move your body/workout, watch a movie, partake in some retail therapy, etc!!
