i haven’t finished this and i don’t think i will any time soon. so i’ll just go ahead and post him for now and see what happens down the line. i’m already making new art of this character and leaving this behind, so might as well put him up..

this is a genshin-ification of my persona! you could say he is a bit of an OC at this point since he has his own plot and stuff centered around the universe. what fun!

he is a Bakeneko from the Inazuman Islands of Seirai. name is Chesha; nickname Whiskers, experiment code WSKRS-0001. his true alliance is with the Fatui, but he is also a trickster who loves to coax deals out of enemy territories to feed him in exchange for information--information that is usually false unless you really cater to his likings without argument. he speaks in riddles and can often lead others astray. he revels in his trickery and enjoys seeing others become confused and lost. he’ll even turn on his own allies just to gain some amusement. though he tends to tuck tail when harbingers get involved; loyal to a fault. 

Vision is Geo; Delusion is Pyro. he’s a catalyst. (heh-CATalyst.) and special dish is Gato Cinnamon Cake.  i will release more information soon if anyone is interested.

this is darius🪽’ puzzle! nika🍒 has one too, and ring💍 will give you the reward upon completing their challenges. the idea is sort of like a crossword puzzle, where you have to find certain words that are associated with crown or its members.

this puzzle is probably the most challenging for those who don’t know japanese, because all the words are in japanese. you basically need to have some at least some rudimentary knowledge.

so let me tell you what words are in there! hint: there may be repeats, and unlike crossword puzzles, it’s possible the words may be spelled out in a ‘L’ shape, and there may be overlap, but there is no diagonals.

[ちぇしゃねこ] (chesha neko) = the cheshire cat = liam’s curse

[はーとのじょおう] (hāto no jo-ō) = the queen of hearts = william’s curse

[きつね] (kitsune) = fox = harrison’s curse

the bottom text translates to “if the sum is 15, where is 7?”

basically, the complete grid should have numbers 1–9, with no repeats, such that the sum of the 3 numbers in any direction is 15. in other words, if i number the grid’s positions as

this puzzle is pretty straightforward — you’re given a legend made up from the crown members’ names. after that, you must use that to crack the code at the bottom.

the only thing you need here is to be able to spell the characters’ names and a couple minutes to figure out the message.

i would note down which letter is what symbol, because you’ll need it in the last puzzle!

break the code, and then follow the instructions (back on LINE). it’s not case sensitive, so you don’t need to worry about that. once you do this, nica🍒 will give you a puzzle!

Was thinking about the post-canon flock of stray cats again and you mentioned some of them have names, do you know any of the names? And how long did it take for Astarion to bite the bullet and name one?

I have admittedly not put a lot of thought into their specific names except for one in particular, which is a long-haired grey/blue cat named Chesha. She's Yllis's favourite and though she does generally stay outside with the rest of the colony, she's the closest thing they have to a traditional pet.

I flip-flop on whether Astarion ever outright names one but there does come a point where he does start sweet-talking them and using endearments, and remembering the names that Yllis gives them. It probably takes like a good year or two before he drops the stubbornness and just embraces his life as De Facto Cat Dad.

Hi hi so I’ve finally completed my first twst oc, it was really tiresome but I really like how he turned out. He definitely isn’t perfect and I’ll probably change some aspects in the future, but I think he’s okay right now.

INFO:

Name: Aurelio

Hobbies: taking long walks in the woods, cleaning, gardening and braiding Malleus’ hair

Family: he simply lives with his 3 aunts, he doesn’t know a lot about his parents

OC LORE:

Aurelio is a human born near Briar Valley, he lived in a secluded cottage located in the woods with his three aunts.

Always isolated, he often felt alone and lost. His only friends were the animals who lived in the forest, but even their presence couldn’t alleviate his loneliness, he dreamed of meeting someone special, someone who could be his friend. In a desperate attempt to run away from the monotony of his day, he started going for long walks, often staying even after the sun already went down.

Little did he know that his dreams would soon become true.

One night while strolling in the woods as per usual, he suddenly was met with something he had never encountered before: standing in the middle of the little path stood a tall figure, concealed by the pitch darkness of the night, he emanate an eerie aurora, but Aurelio could feel deep down in his heart that the man did not mean any harm, if anything he looked lost. He couldn’t help but approach him and as he slowly moved forward his eyes fell upon two long horns.

“ A child of man, aren’t you? I haven’t seen one in a very long time”

Aurelio flickered when he heard the man speak, shivers run down his spine, but he didn’t run away. His voice was hoarse as if he hadn’t spoken to anyone in a very long time.

“ Why are you here? I thought no one lived here apart from me and my aunts”

“ I just wanted a place where I could go to enjoy the peace of solitude”

The man said softly, turning around to face Aurelio. His glaze focused on Aurelio, a smile appeared on the man’s face, but he couldn’t help but notice a veil of melancholy in those eyes.

“ You remind me of someone I knew a long time ago…”

The figure however swiftly disappeared, leaving only a trail of fireflies. Aurelio remained still for a few seconds, unable to move as it took him some time to process what had just happened

“ His horns are so weird…. He feels like the man in my dreams”

Almost every night after that, the two would meet right where they had first encountered each other. They quickly became extremely close.

“ Malleus, why doesn’t anyone want to be your friend? You aren’t as scary at it seems”

“ It’s delicate matter….often people are scared of what they don’t know or can’t understand “

“ Like your horns? They are a bit weird”

Malleus turned around to face Aurelio. His eyebrows clutched, a pout appeared on his face, his stare hardening slightly, clearly annoyed at the other’s remark. Aurelio laughed at the man’s childish reaction.

“ Not everything revolves around my horns, Aurelio”

“ That person you always talk about also thought they were weird though. They even called you ‘Hornton’, didn’t they?”

The two of them stared at each other in silence, Malleus’ body stiffened up as if it still pained him to speak or even think about this one person, his mind almost drifting elsewhere as his eyes looked now as if rather empty.

“ Do I really remind you of them ?……They left a long time ago. Were you two that close? “

“ They weren’t scared of me just as you aren’t…. Our relationship was a bit complicated, but I think you could say that we were close”

“ But why would they leave you like this if you two were so close? Didn’t they know that they would hurt you?”

The looks in Malleus’ eyes immediately darkened, his glare moved away from Aurelio and traveled unfocused onto their surroundings, looking intensity at the darkness of the woods as if he could see that person in front of him now.

“ I don’t want to talk about that right now”

“ Hey Malleus…. Do you know what’s outside of Briar Valleys’”

“ Why are you asking that so suddenly?”

“ Just tell me, I wanna hear around your time at that college again”

Aurelio smiled, but he felt something tightening around his heart, hearing about what’s outside made him feel excited. He too wanted to know what was beyond this forest, he needed to see something new, something he couldn’t even imagine.

“ The outside world is unlike what we have here and every area has different cultures, customs and traditions. They don’t rely on magic as much as we do, in fact instead they use something called technology. There are also other species and not just faes or humans…”

“ I found this book in my aunt’s room, it talks about different landscapes all around the world…. I really want to see them”

Malleus immediately stiffened, he lowered his head as those worlds brought him in cold sweat, he swallowed hard, he felt as if he had a lump in his throat.

“ If I were to leave this place…. Would you mind it? I don’t mean to say that I don’t want to be your friend anymore but… I want to see what I dream about with my own eyes”

For once Malleus felt scared, he would be all alone again and so soon after having finally met someone who could cure him of his loneliness, he wouldn’t be able to go through it again, he had to do something. After what felt to Aurelio like hours of pure silence, the fae spoke again:

“ Aurelio… come with me”

It was wrong, he knew it. He should have just let him go but he couldn’t do it. He didn’t want to be alone again…..

“A-are you sure this is safe, Malleus?”

Aurelio’s voice trembled slightly, he felt that something was wrong, but he was quite sure of what, surely Malleus would never do anything to harm him, right? They were friends after all, weren’t they?

“ Of course it is….”

Thinking about Vincent and Chisha again.

I've already talked about my headcanon of Chisha enjoying cosmetics/fashion and teaching Vincent about it, and it has led me to focus on their shared hair color. Therefore, I bring you an extension of said headcanon.

Chisha seems to have had pink hair tips since he was a child. Was he born like that, or is it hair dye?

It's mentioned briefly that he'd often become the subject of mockery for his black hair, which is relatively rare in the Re:Zero world.

Perhaps he liked his natural color enough to not dye it whole, but still wanted to make things easier, so he only dyed the tips to help himself feel better or be mocked less.

Vincent, born with the same characteristic, is always described as attractive, and his hair is often portrayed as alluring or charming, precisely because of its rarity.

However, I think he might have received a similar treatment at some point by those who deemed him an easy prey, being a descendant of the feeble House of Abellux and all, before he rose to fame and earned his dreadful reputation.

Upon meeting Vincent, Chisha, still Chesha by that time, thinks about this similarity too, even if he feels foolish believing they could bond over such a trifle because of their drastically different standings.

Before meeting Vincent, how did Chesha feel when the rumors of Vincent's feats, which most likely didn't fail to mention the prince's appearance, reached his ears? When he heard about that boy being regarded as appealing for the same thing that he himself had been ridiculed for more than once?

Then he encountered Vincent, perhaps the first time Chisha saw someone with black hair in person. And there he confirms that the rumors didn't undersell the prince's majesty.

With all this in mind, imagine Vincent praising Chisha's hair, caressing it.

I have talked about Chisha doing Vincent's makeup when the latter cross-dressed, but let's say Chisha did Vincent's hair in these occasions as well. Imagine Chisha brushing and combing Vincent's hair. Even though it was a wig, it matched Vincent's natural color nonetheless.

Also, there were a few chances amidst those years when he got to touch Vincent's natural hair, moments when they both enjoyed contact with the other in quiet.

Chisha would find himself thinking it looked gorgeous on the prince... so, perhaps, it could look good on himself too?

Then all the Imperial Selection drama happened, which left Chisha with white hair. When he had finally warmed up to it, when he had started believing the one trait that'd vex him before was, maybe, beautiful, it was gone.

But even so, Chisha still had his master beside him. There would still be chances to brush and caress that black hair he had grown to love, and that could be enough.

Kotaro and the Book

Kotaro Sanada felt the urge to be alone for the evening. No grandparents, no parents, no friends—just him and a book and the bullet train depositing him wherever his ticket told him to get off and the neon signs and the rain. The novel he read, a short one translated from English about a boy becoming a man and a fallen star doomed to loneliness, gave him some pause. Told childishly but about more adult things that a child would ultimately face, Kotaro couldn’t wrap his head around the English way of the world.

It doesn’t help that every time the star was described, the girl who shouldn’t exist popped into his head.

He placed the book down, obsidian eyes unable to focus on the words any longer. “It’s one of my favorites,” a voice said. A voice that broke the silence in the car—a voice he knew all the long belonged to her. He moved to face her, pale white hair and bright lapis blue eyes. It was odd though, a spine-tingling deja vu where she looked nothing like he knew her. Bright sundresses replaced with earthy tones and bell bottom jeans. Short, chin length hair dip-dyed in Kool-Aid was traded in for hair long enough for a crown braid.

She watched him with an amused grin. A large, jagged grin of an animal that played with their food. That was what she looked like.

“Chesha?” His voice broke, the damned traitorous thing.

“So you do know me?”

“You can’t be real—“

The sharp laugh broke through the car. People began looking over, placing a finger over their mouth. Chesha shrugged and whispered a formal apology. Still, she looked more amused than apologetic. “The Tree shows everyone what would get them to the monastery quickest. I saw people die, and out of spite for their perceived killer I ended up challenging my mentor. What did you see?”

Kotaro stilled as her eyes dared him to speak. She moved like a cat with languid arcs of her spine as she stretched.
