I don’t know, I feel like actors don’t always get the character they play ‘right’ and that’s the problem with these movie/show adaptations of books. Hotd was a big mistake, I don’t think I’ll ever change my stance on that, mostly because of all the racism and hate in the fandom and from the producers/directors. If the show runners just make a fanfic version of a book, I really don’t understand the point, it’s infuriating, especially to the original book readers. I get attached to minor characters and it really just fucks with me because they rarely get treated well or are as uplifted as they should be! I go a little overboard with this stuff, it’s a problem and I know that, but it would just be so nice if showrunners didn’t diverge so much from the original canon material! With the hotd promos, they genuinely piss me off. I’m not team black or team green, I’m really not, I only genuinely like a few people on the show (which do happen to be team black, but I can’t really say that I like the other people on said team). I regret watching the show and getting into the fandom, I wish I could go back and never watch it, that’s how messed up it’s got me. I just hope s2 is not as disrespectful as s1 bc I’ll still watch it, but I must admit I don’t have much hope of that, especially with how the actors speak of it, it just gives me the ick. It’s not wrong for “family” to hate each other or have problems with eachother. Team black is not this perfect family (and team green isn’t either, not at all) and it’s so stupid for people to try and say they are. At the end of the day it’s fiction, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be the least bit realistic with strained dynamics. For example, it’s okay if the dragon twins have some resentment for rhaenyra and daemon, I’m not saying that they do, but it would be perfectly fine if they did. It would be normal. It doesn’t mean they ultimately hate daemon or rhaenyra, but it doesn’t have to be one or the other either. Team black loves to act as if rhaena&baela adore rhaenyra and they very well might, but if you were to argue that they might dislike or are just not close with her for very understandable reasons, all hell would break loose. As someone who primarily follow people who are team black and pro rhaenyra I know I would be hated on hard if I even suggested the dragon twins held some resentment from when they were younger (which is why I’m saying this anon rn lmao). And I’m not even hating on rhaenyra, I’m just trying to step in their shoes ig. At the end of the day I wholeheartedly believe laena will be the most important woman figure to them regardless of how they feel and that can be enough. I just love mother -children relationships and hotd fandom loves to ignore minor ones :/

🫂I feel you anon especially about the going back in time part. Funnily enough I almost wasn't going to watch this crap because I was still upset with how GOT ended.

However, they got to me with of the addition of the Black cast. I should've known though that it was a fucking trap to get Black people to watch this shit show and that they had no actual intention of doing right by the Black characters, but nope I decided to be a dummy.

Two years later and now I’m here 🤦🏽‍♀️ Having to witness take after take on how every Black(ish) character is unimportant, irrelevant, interchangeable, and only there so the show can appear to be “woke—unless of course they need them to bash a character they hate more.

Poor Laena gets shafted constantly and mocked for being second best and people barely want to admit she’s her girls mother, but then when it’s time to bash Alicent then they want to admit she was shafted.

Baela and Rhaena are barely talked about unless it’s to say how they can replace Nettles(or to mention how Missy Anne did in fact have daughters…. daughters who refer to her as my queen or princess and named their kid after who again? I believe it starts with a L).

Daenaera is non-stop depicated as the lightest mixed girl (if even that) that one can find(and that’s a feat cause there aren’t any actual Black women on this show), but then they want to use her being “Black” to accuse people they have beef with of racism.

Laenor is made into a bum(that’s more the showrunners fault, but people go in on him unnecessarily).

Vaemond is absolutely hated and Corlys, Addam, and Alyn are liked so long as they don’t go off script(which anyone who has read the books knows that Corlys and Alyn are going to go off script)….

Don’t get me started on Team Green who is less outright with their racism, but they aren’t right either.

Can't say that this fandom is the worst or the most racist cause unfortunately I’m seeing the same pattern play out in several other fandoms I’m apart of, but a large portion of this fandom shouldn’t interact with other people until they’ve seen a shrink.

The show is just not good enough for people to be going this crazy about it, but I digress. Honestly though I say all this, but I’ve gotten to the point where I just don’t care for this show or fandom anymore.

I mean I’ll get re-energized when Nettles shows up, but outside of that I couldn’t care less on what happens. [1] Chichihualcuauhco:

Afterlife in which children who died young or in childbirth are sent and fed from the “wet-nurse tree” (You can’t see it in the photo, but there was a tree in Tilin’s altar). Souls here wait for their next opportunity to be reborn.

[2] Tezcatlipoca:

He’s one of the four creator gods of the universe. I’m not an expert on Aztec mythology and I wasn’t really into Tilin’s lore, so I’m kinda uncertain as to why he was the one to write to them or how are they connected.

[3] Tonatiuhichan:

One of the afterlife paradises, where the soul of warries who died in battle go. It was believed that warriors could go back to their homes (land of the living) as hummingbirds. (Fun fact: Woman who died at childbirth would be given the same rank as the warriors who died in battle and would be sent to a similar place called Cihuatlampa!)  

[4] Tonatiuh:

God of the sun (who runs Tonatiuhichan), who most believed was the creator of the Flor of Cempasúchil.

[5] Mictecachihuatl:

Lady of the Dead, Mictlantecuhtli’s consort. She guards the bones of the dead. (Fun Fact: In Oaxaca, is known as Matlacihua, and is said to punish womanizing and drunken men who walk late at night. Kinda funny considering Mariana and Slime’s interactions lmao.)

[6] Mictlan:

The underworld. Most people who die travel to Mictlan. To travel to the kingdom, you have to go through nine levels, which kinda needs dogs to carry the dead across the river. Same reason as to why Juana is sent dogs. (Fun fact: Depending in the color of the dog, they would act different. Yellow ones would just carry the soul, white ones would refuse cause they just washed themselves, and black dogs would refuse cause they just swum the river.)

[7] Mictlantecuhtli:

Lord of the Dead, king of Mictlan. There’s nothing much to say about him; he just simply tried to maintain order in the kingdom and was kinda of an asshole to other gods. There’s a whole myth about other Gods wanting to repopulate Earth, and him going ‘Nuh uh’ until Quetzalcóatl gets tired of him and steals the human bones from Mictlan lol.

[8] Tlalocan:

The afterlife of the Nectar. Better known as the water paradise, where those who died through drowning (or anything associated with rain for that matter) go. I read somewhere that there’s a theory of Trump dying because he drown in his own tears, so that’s why he was invited by Tlaloc.

[9] Tlaloc:

The God of rain, associated as the giver of life. The flower Tagetes Lucida are kind of like the Cempasúchil, and are his symbol.

the afternoon sky was gray and gloomy as the wind blew gently. it was the beginning of October which meant the air began to get cooler and everyone was still getting used to their uni classes.

leaves crunched beneath your feet as you walked and talked with your two mates, yeojin and sumin. giggles erupted from your small group from time to time as you all discussed different things.

“okay, but i’m just saying, y/n. you need someone.” yeojin shrugged, her black hair moving as she walked. you rolled your eyes at the girl who continuously repeated herself, telling you that you needed a partner.

“jin, it’ll happen with time. she’ll find someone. you will find someone, n/n.” sumin turned towards both of you, a reassuring tone in her voice. you gave sumin a small smile, nodding at her comment.

“well, in the mean time, we can all hang sometime,” yeojin spoke again, indicating that they were indeed waiting for you to get someone so you all could triple date or something. “i know unis’ had our schedules pretty tight.”

“jin, you don’t even care about uni.” you snorted, adjusting your books in your arms.

she threw her hand up defense, “hey, gotta show my folks that i’ll actually be something one day.”

“but at the same time, that’s also what i tell jake when i don’t wanna hang out.” yeojin shrugged once again.

you gasped, “you tell him that your schedules’ tight?”

yeojin nodded, a snicker escaping from her, “what? the kid is up my tail 25/8, you guys. it’s tiring.”

sumin shook her head, chuckling at her friend’s antics, “jin, give the guy a chance, he’s so sweet!”

“yeah, yeo, he really likes you.” you added, smiling at her. she rolled her eyes playfully, brushing off the comments that clearly made her feel good. you could tell by the bashful smile on her face.

you all continued talking until it was time for you to go your separate ways for the day.

walking into your favorite cafe, the scent of cinnamon and apple invaded your nostrils.

you gave the barista a smile, grabbing a seat by the window. you placed your books and case down on the table, getting comfortable in the wooden chair.

opening your book, you let yourself get lost in the story. romeo and juliet wasn’t the most exciting story to read but you knew you had to let yourself focus so your professor would get off of your back about the upcoming essay.

a few moments went by as you read through the different acts of the story. for some reason you felt your gaze gravitate to what was outside.

there you saw a red-haired boy, standing out in the drizzling rain, mirroring the expression you had on your face. he stared back at you, walking up to the warm cafe doors.

you knew you probably looked like a fool staring at this stranger, so you eventually averted your gaze. that was until he entered the cafe. once again, he looked your way, glancing over your posture.

he continued to do so until he reached the barista to order.

you knew you should’ve been freaked out because why on earth is this stranger looking at you as if you two had met? but you actually felt quite the opposite. you felt attracted to him. to his gaze. everything about him, actually.

you furrowed your brows, knowing you’d never felt like this about anyone. your confusion remained as you began reading your book again.

once again, a few moments went by but you felt your eyes avert back to the boy. he was already seated, drink on his table as he took a small sip. his eyes found yours again, blinking slowly.

you looked down, a shy smile spreading across your face. your heard his soft chuckle from across the cafe. it made your insides feel all fuzzy.

for a while it was just exchanged glances and smiles until he decided to join you at your smaller table.

you pretended to not see his red hair peeking from above your book, smile still plastered on your face.

“romeo and juliet, huh?” his voice was smooth and laid back. you slowly brought your book down to the table, looking up at him. he smiled, sliding the book towards his side. “a classic.”

“yeah.” was really all you could say at that moment, too stunned by his beauty.

“i surely need a romeo. all the guys in my life are more like a- sorry, i’m bombarding you, a stranger, with my love life.”

he laughed softly, shaking his head. “it’s okay.” his gaze came back to yours.

“what’s your name, love?” his brows furrowed, as if he were already interested in you. maybe that was the case.

“y/n,” you answered in a small voice, flustered at the nickname he gave you. “yours?”

“heeseung,” he paused for a moment. “or some people know me as Cupid.”

your brows furrowed, “why do they call you that?“

“Cupid?” he asked. “‘cause i am. i’m Cupid.” he said the last part in a hushed tone.

some part of you wanted to laugh but the other part of you believed him. if he was Cupid, why would he want you to know that?

“prove it. show me something.” you rested your chin in your hand. he cocked an eyebrow, smile appearing on his face again.

“show you something? what, like a trick?” he snorted.

you shrugged, “show me what you got, Cupid. make those people over there fall in love.” you tilted your head to the boy and girl on the other side of the cafe, giggling with each other. it kind of looked like you and heeseung with the way they were looking at each other.

he sat back in his chair, eyes focused on them. after a moment or two, they stopped what they were saying and just stared at each other. before you could blink again, the two shared a long-awaited kiss.

the furrow in your eyebrows deepened, “did you just-?”

you whipped your head back around to face heeseung, who was already looking at you. the small smile on his face telling you everything.

author’s note: let’s hope i can finish this series unlike my smaus where i gave up not even halfway through the series 😀 (i plan on fin fishing them one day)

Hi anon, sorry for thr late response. I think that you are seeing the promo in terms of reaching more of the general public outside of LATAM & famous media, but this specific promo was for his tour in LATAM.

Besides the promo in Brasil, Chile and Argentina there was also press from Paraguay (in Argentina) and from Perú (in Chile).

Louis talk about his music and other projects like AFHF, but the main reason is to promote the tour.

I don't live in those countries, but in this post by @lets-laughagain they mention how a lot of media was talking about Louis in Brasil and in this post they comment how Louis was trending all weekend in Argentina.

So the media work in some way, hopefully it also will help in ticket sales. But I think the fact that everyone that interviews Louis see how kind and down to earth he is, that's a positive thing. It helps that the media likes Louis for the future.

Also in this post & this other post by @calordelverano they share a lot of people talk about Louis football skills while he was in Argentina and mention how he was a great football player. So Louis is making new people be interested in him and that could make them listen to his music and buy tickets (not that everyone will but is a potential future audience).

Louis did a lot of interviews in each country, so I think it helps to reach different audiences and remind them the shows. I was just looking a few of the media that interview Louis and here are some data:

This without count the audience that media has where they share written or video interviews in their websites. That is a lot of ways to reach out to people in social media, he could reach new audiences with this promo for his tour and music.

And honestly even if he doesn't sell so many tickets because of this promo, he saw so many fans and that is so meaningful for them and for Louis because he said he wants to make them feel seen and thank the support.

I do think that for LT3 he needs a new strategy to reach more people, but I think what he did with the promo in LATAM is a good move, same with the festivals that he will do after the tour.
