Hi. I am Jia. I’m a random peep that really likes makeup and I hope the channels I watch can benefit more people to find amazing youtubers to watch :) Hope you guys enjoy :) My native language is Chinese, not English, so sorry if I make any mistakes during this list haha

I hope this list is unbiased as possible. I was going to add a section for western/muslim-friendly/sfx makeup lists, but since the asian style list is already so looooong, I decided to do the rest in another post.

  1. Pony Syndrome

Pony is a very popular makeup guru on youtube. I’m pretty sure people know her already lmao but she not only gives good advices, creates beautiful makeup styles, is skillful in applying makeup and also uses affordable products often, so it’s not hard to pickup one or two makeup items even if you are a poor student like me ;(. She also have great personalities.

I personally like her Apricot makeup, Snowflake makeup and Heartbeat makeup the most, but she makes a lot of tutorials which showcases different styles. It is really worth checking it out.

Pony also have a makeup line called Pony Effect. There are multiple online stores selling if you wanna buy them. It is quite pricey for students, but the ratings are good.

2. Jenny Crush

I’m not really that into Jenny, but I really like her makeup tutorials. It is modern and distinct. I especially like her Romantic “First Date” makeup tutorial. Out of many tutorials that I watch, this is one of the few I actually try out haha and it works quite well. My ex really liked it :> Anyway, I recommend checking her out.

3. KAWAII PATEEN

This is a makeup channel which focuses on Japanese makeup and fashion. I watch them personally mostly for fun because they are unique and the people that are introduced are upbeat and intresting. I like Rani, Yui Minakata, Haruka Kurebayashi, AoChan the most. Even though I most likely won’t try out those styles, watching them makes me feel happy too. :D

4. Molita Lin

She is an indonesian youtuber which offers much subtle makeups compared to the last 3. Her makeup style is mostly light and suitable for people who dosen’t really like medium-heavy makeup. Her family vlogs are also intresting to watch. I really like her comparing videos, it’s good when I wanna buy some new makeup but don’t know how to decide XD

I found out her by searching lip gradient tutorials. I was not disappointed. That tutorial is spot-on. She doesn’t have many makeup videos, but I really like how she explains by using little pictures on the video as steps to showcase how to apply makeup. It is much easier to follow this way. By this way, the steps are also more detailed and clear. Her videos are also not that long, so I recommend giving it a shot.

6. Edward Avila

I really dig Edward’s kpop idol makeup. I especially like his Oh Nana inspired makeup, it’s stylish and mature, like how the Oh Nana mv potrays it to be. He also have a lot more kpop idols makeup tutorials and a list of swatches videos. I watched his Laneige two tone lip bars video before I went shopping for it. It is certianly a great help. He also make some really dope vlogs, so check him out! also i love how he name his videos lol its so casual

7. Ivan Lam

Before I jump into the tutorials, I must say that I love Ivan’s thumbnails. It is simplistic and beautiful. His makeup styles are dreamy and fashionable. I especially like his Chinese Dream Daddy makeup lol, it’s really good. Anyway, if you like boys with dreamy makeup, check Ivan out.

8. Vivekatt

I’ve been watching Vivekatt for sometime now. I love her transformation videos. It’s honestly so insipiring that makeup can change a person’s style so much. I love her Chinese Fashion makeup tutorial the most. Her CL transformation makeup is really on point. If you like transformation makeups too, check out Vivekatt.

9. zWinnieYap

Winnie does a lot of anime and game eyes makeup tutorials, like seriously, a lot of them. It’s really a huge collection that I think can really benefit a cosplayer. Aside of anime makeups, I love her Fall For Red and Dreamy Clouds tutorial. It is so good that I’m shooketh. Like sichenmakeupholic, she also uses small pictures during the video to give tips and I think that’s pretty cute.

10. 헤이즐 Heizle 

Her makeup looks are stunning and her Hanbook makeup tutorial is on point. Personally, I think her makeup styles are chic and is appealing to modern girls. I like her IU style makeups. I don’t think I’ll try her makeup tutorials as often, but I still think that she’s a great makeup guru. Check her out!
