We just received our first Chip Drop!! The pictures don't do justice on how big this pile is! I'm about to have some very happy chickens and manicured paths!!

A town south of us got hammered by that recent storm. They had downed trees on practically every road. Our arborist came from that clean up. Said he's already delivered a load to family nearby. He's going back for another round. I let him know we have plenty of room for more if he can't find another place to dump it. (The local places were going to charge him $50 for chips and $200 for logs to dump it.)

This weekend is going to be busy! Omg I'm stupid excited about this.

This morning's chore is adding wood mulch next to the coop! I weedeated last night to jumpstart the process.

Using the buckets has been the best tools to use for this project! I can't get my lawn mower around the coop safely (or without getting stuck). I tried to dump chips at the beginning and spread them out, but that became more work than I wanted.

I've already carved a decent chunk out of the pile. I'm hoping to do a few more rounds before the sun gets too intense.

Well... He was taller... once. Not terribly, but enough.

Gold's recent height is caused by a slew of complications, most of which do involve his unnaturally long age and just general faulty body. Chip wasn't really... born in peak physicality. He was chronically weak and brittle, sometimes even sickly if he wasn't careful. Doctors even advised him against his life of tinkering, otherwise they worried he might work himself into an early grave.

It made Croissant fret over him almost constantly when she found out, to the point it made Chip bitter about not just the coddling- But the fact it came from someone who was everything he was told he couldn't be. Perfect health, perfect mechanic, perfect inventor that could spit out mountains of wonderful machines. Cookies singing her praises almost daily. Meanwhile, despite his own talent, he was relegated to fixing up broken clocks and managing finances. Only able to truly experiment when Croissant wasn't looking. And even then, he found himself struggling to get anything made... It was maddening! It was unfair... If only he could just... Fix himself.

Hey so you know how in Riptide 114 the only reason that Gillion was still alive was because he casted Death Ward on himself?

Like what would happen if he didn't, do you think Grizzly was planning on actually killing the original Gillion?

What if Grizzly's initial plan was to Rolan-ify DoppelGilly?

Do you think that DoppelGilly was originally supposed to be the only thing left of Gill, both for Charlie to pc, and for Jay and Chip to desperately be stuck with this thing that is Gillion but NOT, trying to deal with the death and replacement of their friend, and DoppelGilly was supposed to be this other being with the same memories of his friends but not fully, and he still sees them the same way but they view him as "other", but he is still the closest and only thing left of Gillion, and wouldnt that be so fucked up?
