It's hard to say who would've done this to you. Your dad had gained a lot of enemies over the years so it could really be anyone.

Marc is pacing back and forth in your father's office, a bandaged wrapped around his head. He's mentally going over the list of men on his watch list, determining whether they'd be ballsy enough to pull shit like this. Then he pauses and looks to your dad.

"Harrow."

Your dad cocks a brow at him, "What about him?"

"Did you really kill him?"

He scoffs, "What kind of fucking question is that? Of course, I did."

"Really? Because, to be honest, Y/D/N, he's the only one who would have the guts to do this. Revenge for not letting him take over. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain from this."

Marc walks over and plants his hands on your dad's desk, "So I ask again: Did. You. Kill. Him?"

Your father sighs and leans back in his chair, "I thought I did. Beat the fucker to a pulp. Thought he'd die from his wounds, but I guess I was fucking wrong. I should've fucking made sure he was dead for good."

Marc runs a hand down his face, "Fuck. Okay, we need to call everyone in. The Starks, The Pyms, the Romanovs, all of them. We-" he's cut off by his phone ringing. He pulls it out and sees he's getting a video call from you.

He immediately answers it, "Y/N?" He doesn't see you, but a black screen.

He hears a voice, "No, unfortunately. Your bride-to-be is a little...tied up at the moment." The camera comes on and it's you tied to a chair, gagged, and beaten. You seem to be unconscious at the moment.

Marc's jaw clenches, "What do you want?"

Harrow's face appears on screen. He's grinning, "Let me talk to him."

The phone is immediately handed off to your father, who grips it tightly, "You should've stayed down, Harrow."

His former partner scoffs, "And you should've finished me off. Now, we're all facing the consequences of our actions, hm?"

"What do you want?" Your dad asks through gritted teeth.

"You know exactly what I want. It's all pretty simple, isn't it? You give me your empire and you can have your beloved Sunshine back," he goes back to you and caresses your cheek, "My men did quite a number on her."

Marc clenches his fists tight, his blunt nails digging into his skin. He's mentally cursing Harrow and himself. Harrow, for putting you through so much pain and himself, for not preventing this from happening.

"Fine," your father rasps out and Marc whips his head to him in surprise.

"3 days. The warehouse on docks. You know which one. I expect to only see you. If I see anyone else, especially your guard dog, Spector, say goodbye to Sunshine."

"Alright."

Harrow sighs, "This all could've been avoided if you'd just let me take over," he then shrugs and grins at the camera, "Cest la vie!" He then ends the call and your father drops Marc's phone onto the desk.

"Please tell me you're not serious about this."

"We have no other choice, Marc. We can't risk it. Fuck all with the organization, Y/N is the only good thing I have left. I'm not risking it."

"Shit," Marc murmurs to himself.

You're not sure how long you've been held captive to Harrow. All you know is that you just want to go home. You want to be in bed and have Marc holding you. He'd become your safe space in such a short time. If you make it out alive, you're telling him how you feel, because fuck if almost dying puts things in a new perspective for you.

Harrow comes in looking very chipper and it makes you uneasy, "Look alive, Sunny girl! Your daddy's coming to save the day today!"

"I hope he kills you for good this time," you mumble out as Harrow's men pulls you to your feet. You groan in pain, stumbling forward a bit since it's been a while since you've moved your legs.

"You know, I could always kill Spector and make dear old dad write into his will that you marry me instead," he caresses your bruised cheek, "I always thought you were beautiful."

You spit in his face and he sighs in disappointment, "But that attitude. It'll have to go," he surprises you with a hard back handed slap that causes you to let out a sob.

Harrow then gestures for his men to take you out into the warehouse. You're sat in a chair again, your hands tied behind your back. You regret not taking more self-defense lessons from the Romanovs.

Harrow sends his men away and stands by your side as you wait for your father.

"Remember, you get Y/N and then you go. You don't wait for me or anything else. Just get her to safety."

"Yes, sir," Marc says with a nod.

Of course, Marc was going with your father to get you. Technically, Harrow said if he saw Marc, he'd kill you. That's why Marc was going to be hidden away on the docks, ready to get you once he received the word.

They drove in separate cars. Your father drove his to the warehouse and Marc drove to hide in-between shipping containers.

He listened closely through your dad's hidden listening device.

"I'm here, Harrow. Now let my daughter go." your father demands.

"Ah ah. The contract and will."

Marc hears rustling and the click of your father's briefcase. He hears shuffling of papers and then your father speaks again, "It's all there."

There's a short silence that Marc imagines Harrow reading through the papers.

Then Harrow speaks up, "How will I know she won't try to take it back from me."

Your father scoffs, "Come on now, Harrow. You know she never had any interest in this shit. She wants a normal life."

Harrow seems to be satisfied with your father's response. Marc waits anxiously listening for you. There's rapid footsteps and then rustling. Mar hears your sobs and his heart hurts knowing how much you've endured these past few days.

"Dad, I-"

"No, listen to me. I love you, okay? You get out of here and get as far away as you can. Marc is coming to get you. You'll be safe with him. I promise. I love you, Sunshine. Now, go. Run."

Marc immediately speeds out of hiding and towards the warehouse. He sees you running and hops out of the car as soon as he hits the breaks.

"Marc!" you sob his name as you fall into his arms.

"Ssshh. I got you, baby. I gotchu. C'mon. We need to go." He quickly helps you into the car and speeds away from the docks.

Through his earpiece, he hears your father say, "I should've finished the job when I had the chance."

"Yes, Y/D/N. You should've, but everything happens for a reason. Right?"

"Yeah...right."

The warehouse suddenly explodes, causing you to look back.

"NO!" You turn to Marc as tears immediately fill your eyes, "We have to go back!"

Marc shakes his head, "There's nothing there now, Y/N. He's gone."

"NO! TURN BACK AROUND! PLEASE!"

"I'm sorry, Y/N. Your dad's gone."

Annon-Guy: Should Guilty Gear StrIVe actually incorporate alternative costumes for the cast like GranBlue Fantasy Versus Rising did for Gran, Djeeta, Narmaya and Zeta, what would you pick for the current roster?

To start off easy, let's use the Missing Link Cast as an example.

Sol: Either Order-Sol or Overture Sol.

Ky: X Series Ky or Overture Ky.

May: X Series May or Xrd May.

Millia: Missing Link Millia or Xrd Millia.

Zato: Classic Zato or an Eddie Skin (probably more Zombie looking like decaying skin and damaged clothing).

Chipp: X Series Chipp or Xrd Chipp.

Potemkin: X Series Potemkin.

Faust: Xrd Faust or Faust wearing Baldhead's old costume while keeping the Paper Bag mask.

Axl Low: Missing Link Axl or X Series Axl.

Baiken: X Series Baiken

Testament: X Series Testament, but more androgynous looking instead of the masculine look they had originally.

There's been a ton of requests on this front from fans to ARC System Works, but the largest portion that makes it difficult is that it's expensive to produce.

Different outfits also don't always talk alternate colors in to consideration as well depending on the game.

Games like Granblue and Soul Calibur are built with alternate outfits in mind, but still, it takes a lot of work.

Even so, fan-made mod skins have been created in some communities, so for Strive in particular at least, things are progressing in that direction.

The broadest answer I can give is "they'll do what they can do".

“Do you really have to go?” You were behind the counter at Ursula’s Fish and Chippe Shoppe.

Jay sat at the bar eating the food he had just ordered. Being your boyfriend, he was the only person in Mal’s gang that your sister allowed in the restaurant. Dating on the Isle was different to say the least so even Uma had to cave when she saw how you and Jay revolved around each other. It wasn’t like anything really done around the Isle.

“Why? Are you gonna miss me too much?” Jay flashed a million dollar smile.

“Who said I was going to miss you.” You stuck out your bottom lip and caved. “I’m going to miss you.”

“I’ll probably be back before you know it. Maleficent wants the wand. I swear that’s all I hear nowadays. We’ll be quick, grab the wand and go.”

“What if it takes longer? What if you don’t accomplish the mission? You’ll be in Auradon and I’ll just be here. On the Isle.”

“I’m not going to let that happen, take this.” Jay took his dark blue beanie off his head.

“But it’s like your prized possession.”

“I’ll get another one. It’s for you while I’m gone. I would’ve gotten a necklace but…”

You already knew the answer. You wouldn’t give up your shell necklace for anything. It was a gift to both you and Uma on your birthdays. She got hers on her eleventh and a year later you received it on your eleventh as well. Not even for Jay would you let anything else hang around your neck.

Jay leaned over the counter to put the beanie on you and kissed your nose before moving to your lips.

“I’ll come back. They said we could. I promise I’ll come back to see you.”

“Annndd you’ve overstayed your welcome. Get out my shoppe, loverboy.”

Uma had come by. She took his tray and the drink right out of his hand. Just cause she let him in didn’t mean he could be there forever. He wasn’t a part of the crew but more importantly he was a part of Mal’s gang.

“Alright, alright. I’m heading out. I’ll miss you (Y/N), I’m serious about coming back as soon as I can. See you later babe. See you later…”

He turned to Uma with a smug smile. You knew what was coming and you didn’t even try to stop it. “Shrimpy.”

Jay and Gil. Two of the only people who could ever fathom calling Uma Shrimpy and live to tell the tale. Jay kissed you one more time before running out of the store.

“If he wasn’t yours I swear,” Uma huffed.

You clutched the beanie on your head tight as the wind blew strongly. You were sitting on the top deck of Uma’s ship, looking out at Auradon, thinking of your last day with the Agrabah boy.

“You know he’s not coming back.”

“He’ll be back, Harry.”

“You should’ve just broke up with him, lass. Six months and I don’t think they’ve even give you a second thought.”

“Don’t you have a job from Uma?”

“Yeah… collecting you.”

Harry slung an arm around your shoulder and guided you off the ship and back towards the chip shoppe. The same way Uma tolerated Jay for you, you tolerated Harry for her. You liked the pirate but sometimes Harry Hook really got on your nerves, especially when he chose to remind you that Jay and the others still hadn’t returned to the Isle. You knew they couldn’t grab the wand, that they had turned towards a life of good but it was only a matter of time before they would come back to visit.

“There are plenty of nice boys on the crew ye know.”

“I don’t want a boy from the crew.”

“I know, lassie. You want your little gang boy.”

You rolled your eyes. Harry chose every chance to tease you about the crew. Everyone knew that if it wasn’t for Uma, you wouldn’t be with them. Your sister once offered you first mate but you refused, happily giving it up to Hook. Sailing, pirating in general, wasn’t your thing. You were absolute trash at it. You couldn’t even swab the deck properly.

If you could’ve been the little mermaid thing on the front of the ship, you would be. You held the official title of Crew Morale. There to boost spirits or generally remind everyone that they’re in Uma’s crew, a real family. Lately, as official morale, you weren’t having much morale. Maybe Harry was right. Maybe you should just get over Jay and find someone else.

You and Harry dropped your swords in the sword bucket by the door of the restaurant. It was a rule. No weapons in the shoppe. Even though you, Harry, and Gil were the only ones that could break that rule, you still followed it out of respect for your sister. Uma already had food ready for the both of you.

You turned on the TV to see an interview with Mal and Ben. Your hopes were killed when you saw it was just Mal, occasionally the other VKs would be shown on TV. But, today, it looked like you wouldn’t be seeing Jay’s face. Uma grabbed a spoonful of mashed potatoes off of Harry’s plate and threw it at the TV.

“Poser,” Uma said frustrated.

“Traitor! Let them have Bore-adon,” Harry yelled for encouragement, “I would love to wipe the smiles off their faces.”

“Gil? You want to quit choking down yolks and get with the program.” Uma turned to look at her third in charge.

“Yeah, what they said.”

You sighed as you ate a fry. Gil meant well, he really did, but the boy was just not with the program most of the time. If it wasn’t for his loyalty and strength, you were positive Uma would’ve kicked him out by now. But Gil had become like a brother.

“That traitor left us in the dirt. She gets to have a great time living it up in Auradon while the rest of us get still get their trash.” Uma seethed.

“Who turned her back on evil,” Harry chimed in.

“Who said you weren’t bad enough or big enough to be in her gang…”

Everyone stopped to look at Gil.

“What back when we were kids, remember? She dumped that chum on you called you Shrimpy and the name just stuck? No?”

“Gil.” You tried to save him. “Not now, dude.”

Gil shrugged and went back to his eggs.

“That snooty witch. Grabbed everything and ran while she left me nothing. Even took your boyfriend with her.”

Uma turned to you. For someone who hated Mal and her gang so much, Uma was fiercely protective of you and Jay. She never once blamed him for anything she blamed Mal for, knowing that it would hurt you. She was mad on your behalf for not seeing Jay in so long.

“No, she left you guys that sandbox.”

“Gil! I need you to stop talking.” This boy would get himself killed if you weren’t around.

“We should not be getting her leftovers. We’re gonna do something about that. Son of Hook, Son of Gaston, and us, Daughters of Ursula! What’s my name?”

“Uma,” Harry said in a low whisper as he took off his hat and kneeled to her.

“What’s my name?”  

“Uma?” Gil said more like a question.

“What’s my name?!”

You obliged your sister, she always had a slight flair for the dramatics. “Uma.”

– Overall opinion of them

He's a fucking weasel and I love him. There's just something striking about a guy who's whole deal is lying to everybody's faces with a serene smile when the series he's in is full of people who could rip him in half if they wanted to. His whole deal was being a smooth talker and never showing his true nature and overall just being confusing for everyone around him and I dunno I know you think he's too flippant but something about him just seemed interesting to me straight off.

And him finally showing at least part of that true nature around someone he actually cares about and using those exact same tricky tricks to do some good and help people is just icing.

– Gender/sexuality headcanons

Baiken-sexual. I kid I kid, if only slightly. Personally I see him as Demi because I don't think he's ever shown any actual interest with anyone other than Baiken. Gender-wise cis, but I'm cool with whatever, though the idea of Trans Anji showing off his mastectomy scars has always been one I've been especially fond of. Of course he's running around without a shirt on, he's put a lot of time effort and money into those boobs so he's gotta show them off!

– Favorite moment in canon

That one arcade ending (in X I think) where he very casually tells I-No that Asuka is very disappointed in her and then traps her in a crystal while she's cursing him out. Just something about how blasé he is about the whole thing. He very easily just brushes off I-No's angry comments and does his job without a hint of hesitation or remorse.

It's one of his darker moments, no question, but I like to keep this moment in mind because for all of his dancing and grinning, Anji is also ruthless and cold when he needs to be and I think that's an aspect of his character that she be explored more.

...oh, also any and every moment he shares with Baiken, both because I am biased and because they just bring out the worst and best in each other.

– Favorite moment in a fanwork

There's this one piece I can't for the life of me remember who made that has Anji carrying Baiken on his back. She's throwing a bit of a fit up there, but isn't really visibly attempting to get him to drop her, while Anji is just happy as a clam and grinning dopily at her while she's yelling at him.

It's a very good summation of their relationship, I think.

– Favorite line, in canon or otherwise

"...I'm not the only one. [...] Check my mirror someday, you'll see." Maybe it's because Another Story has stuck itself in my mind but I just really like that line. It says something seemingly innocuous on the surface, but soon reveals itself to be a much deeper cut than you first imagined. Anji in a nutshell.

But also: "...I dunno, I don't have an answer to that. All I know is, I don't want you to die. [...] Ok, let's go. From now on, it's my job to keep you alive. So get used to having me by your side." Childish, presumptuous...but it's also one of the first moments where we see this guy being honest.

– Characters I love seeing them interact with

....do i need to say it? do I? Okay so Baiken is the obvious answer because you put this smooth talker with the rough and tumble samurai and you get fireworks but other than that, him and Chipp are an amusing duo. With Baiken he's able to be serious but with Chipp he's either forced into being the Ninja Babysitter when Answer isn't available or he gets dragged along with Chipps nonsense and they have an Excellent Adventure and it is a treat.

– Last thing before sleeping headcanons

He stretches. I think he's also gotten into the habit of looking into the mirror before he sleeps and muttering, "you're anji mito, remember, you are anji mito", because there is no way that is his actual name and he needs to remind himself that he's grown past that, but having a hundred aliases tucked away in your head for anytime use could get confusing.

– Sleeping habits headcanons

He's a wired, shallow sleeper. He goes to sleep very quickly and wakes up very easily. He's the kinda guy that, if you startle him awake, his instinctual response is to throw a punch.

– First thing after waking up headcanons

He checks his surroundings (where's my bag, where's Zessen, where's Baiken ah fuck where's my damn glasses) and then gets up for a glass of water and to splash water on his face. He wakes up early and doesn't waste time.

– Favorite locations headcanon

He's learned not to get attached to any one place, being a wanted vagabond traveling with another wanted vagabond means that staying in one spot for too long means people will start wondering if you look similar to a poster they saw the other day. But personally I think he's very fond of grassy hills. Perfect for sitting down and admiring the view.

FFXIV x Guilty Gear AU, anyone? :3c

Currently I don't know how to plot this as its me just kicking my feet and giggling making designs for characters and fitting them into the world OK! Let us start with our party (Might not even be in the Seventh Astral/Umbral era!!)

I dont have much ANY tangible sketches for Sol but he's going to be a Xaela subspecies Au'Ra (Draconic features and that hourglass shape? Very Sol.) adventurer, who wields a Gunblade (making him a Gunbreaker!) He's not too far off Guilty Gear canon, most likely to be protagonist since references to the sun hahahah :) (Maybe Order Sol having the role that Ardbert had??!?!?!!?!?!)

Ky is an Ishgardian Elezen for sure, it just, works. And he fits being a Red Mage SOOOOO much (Lightning magic, cool sword/rapier and the acrobatics) The design below isn't set in stone it's just a maybe place holder, looks nice tho!!

Justice/Aria is also here. She is girlbossing so hard, I think she'll swap to Sage or maybe stay as a Paladin after her whole Justice alias is known since she can do that. Raen Au'Ra this time, so cool. I think Asuka might do his gay magic and muck up Arias memories (or not) Also design below woooo!!!

Axl, I am pushing the cat boy Axl agenda making him a Mi'qote, Seeker of the Sun since of course he is. BUT. He's a Reaper!!! His Voidsent is named Megumi hehehehe (Im so mean and cruel to him sorry Axl :() Also I-No is there too, she is a Miqo as well, but a Bard (They have the guitar from that one crossover, I think) look at how bad I am at drawing witch hats haha

Dizzy!! She's a mix between a Xaela and Raen Au'Ra!! Ponytail for the hair this time, she looks nice in a ponytail :) She fits being a SCH so, she be Scholaring woohoo!! The clothing is so badly drawn and just a place holder but you get the gist

Asuka. Hyur, Midlander (since he's mid, KIDDING!!) Though, I might make him a Mi'qote later if I feel like it. He is a Summoner, he be summoning. That's it, it's an Asuka.

Raven :) there is no bird races in FFXIV. A pity. So, he's a Padjal, their cool and live for a while and I have a few Vieras already so ja. Black Mage since he is EVIL not really, just is good as magic and big ol robes, so swag.
