Personally, I think the reason you were able to give your opinion was that there’s a fundamental difference in the way you two see Valentine’s Day.

Gun - 9MUSES. Okay, so everybody was GOREGOUS in this era. I love Hyuna so much :'(. Justice for 9MUSES they had so much potential.

Miniskirt - AOA. A classic. So catchy. I know how we feel about the AOA drama but I still stan them for their music and concepts. I don't respect the drama but I can't help but vibe to the music lol.

Up & Down - EXID. You already know how it is.

Guilty - Stellar. So this song is incredible. I feel bad for Stellar. Watching their MVs and fancams give me creepy vibes just because of how they were treated. I love their music to this day.

Actually, out of all of these songs, I have only listened to Villain by Stella Jang and Heart Attack by LOONA, which I was listening to before I answered this! (currently listening to Permission to Dance by BTS)

I've listened to other songs by EVERGLOW and MAMAMOO before that were not listed above, and I've had FLOWER recommended to me over on YouTube.

what are some of your favorite debuts and why? also, what do you like to see in a debut (a clear concept, minis vs singles, line distribution vs highlighting certain members, showing off vocals vs more mellow songs, etc etc)

ITNW - snsd: its just an amazing song, the choreo is powerful, and it has a lot of sentimental value for longtime fans like me lol

Q&A - cherry bullet: i love the futuristic video game concept they had and the song fit with it so well. not 2 mention its an absolute banger

free somebody - luna: everything about this is just flawless. the choreo, the aesthetic, her vocals, the overall album, everything was on point

like ooh-ahh - twice: there's a lot of things i love about this one! the song, the choreo & dance break, the MV, the overall styling, etc. i think they did a good job of showing each members personality and role in the group, especially with the teasers. it was fun and a lil quirky and i love that. however i do have a couple gripes with this one but this is getting too long so i'll answer separately if anyone asks lol

chase me - dreamcatcher: their redebut and concept change was a good decision imo!!! the horror concept is always interesting to me and the song was sooo goood

tag me - weeekly: when i saw this i was soooo happy bc it had been a long time since i've seen a group come out with such an energetic and cute song like this one. the performance is so entertaining to watch, soeun's dance break, monday's vocals, etc. its so fun!!!

edit: I FORGOT TO ANSWER THE REST!!!!!!!! what i like to see in a debut is just a good song with a really good highlight part, whether that be in the vocals or the choreo or something. i also like when you can get a feel for the members’ personalities or their role in the group just by watching the MV or seeing the performance. i always love a clear concept too!!
