Never Forgotten - A Thor/Reader Angst Short.

Warnings - Angsty angst ahoy!

Waking up to the familiar feel of his warmth against you, you turn and cuddle into him, his scent warming you just as much as his skin on that chilly November morning. Frost settles outside, the fog hanging thick, but within your bedroom it is nothing short of sumptuously cosy.

Until you remember.  

You always knew that this day would come, the day he’d return to where he belongs. Asgard is where he came from, his true home, the place he shall rule over, without you by his side. He asked you to join him, of course, he did, but you are a woman of the earth, and a life away from all you know and everybody you love was not an exchange you were prepared to make. No matter how much you loved him. No matter how much you knew it would hurt.  

You couldn’t go and be his everything, while sacrificing your everything; your entire life.

“My love, what ails you so?”  

Looking up into his brilliant blue eyes, you sigh again, resting your head upon his thick chest. “Today being what it is.”

He hums a chuckle, thumb stroking your cheek. “You speak as if we shall never see each other again. I shall return to the earth whenever the people within it so do seek me for my assistance. I am not vanishing forever.”

“I know, but this is.” You point between yourselves, Thor nodding deeply.  

“Alas, that much is true.” He tightens his arm around you, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “While we still have now, let us not think ahead of ourselves.” He lifts your chin, kissing your lips sweetly, humming softly with contentment. “All that you are, you shall always be to me, no matter how much space happens to be between us. There shall never be a time where I do not carry the memory our time together with me.”

His words force a sob into your throat, a painful lump that takes courage to swallow, nodding as you stroke his face. More kisses are exchanged, and your body melds to his, seeking to curve into his warmth. It’s that warmth you will miss the very most, the simplicity of having his heat next to you.  

Too soon, much, much too soon for you to fathom, for your heart to truly comprehend, the kisses you share are your last, Thor holding you to him.  

“Remember everything that I said, love. I meant it, and I forever shall.” He kisses the tears that tumble from your eyes, those you have nothing left to hold onto with, nodding, smiling through your sadness. “Are you absolutely sure, though, that you cannot join me?”

The hope in his eyes kills you, even more so when you shake your head. “I belong here, Thor. And you...” Pausing, you point to the skies, your smile full of melancholy. “You belong there.”  

He nods, his lips pressing a final kiss against your forehead. “Perhaps our destiny may change that one day.”  

Perhaps it will, you have thought since that moment, with the days darkening and winter creeping in, your bed lonely and cold without him within it. At least he was there at all, though, and the words he spoke to you within it, you will have them forever, even though you no longer have him.

It is this that warms you, lies snug in your heart, as you continue without him. He is gone, but by no means ever forgotten.

Chris Hemsworth #32: "Having a water war/water fight with Chris after having a long day at work"

You walked up to the front door, yawning softly. Being a salon owner didn’t seem like it would be a hard job, but it was exhausting. Not many people knew you were dating Chris Hemsworth, and with his filming schedule being crazy, you hardly ever saw each other. But you didn’t mind, Chris loved his job, you loved yours and you both loved each other.

                You unlocked the front door and entered the house just as you sent a text to Chris, ‘Made it home, but it was a long day. Ordering Chinese, putting on your shirt with my undies and watching Yellowstone re-runs. How was your day my love?’ you sent as you locked the door.

                A chime sounded altering you that you weren’t alone in the house. Before you could pull your gun from your purse that Chris demanded you carry for protection, a squirt of water hit you in the face, causing you to gasp. “SURPRISE!!” Chris grinned down at you from the upstairs landing. “CHRIS!!” you grinned dropping your bags and running upstairs to hug him.

                You laughed at his man bun. “Thor ever going to have short hair?” you smirked as he kissed you “one day, saw you had a bad day, figured I’d come home early and kick your ass in a water fight like we had that night I tried to make your favorite dinner shortly after we started dating.” Chris smirked as you grinned snatching the water gun, “you better run Hemsworth. I’m totally going to win.” You laughed as he took off.
