I've been thinking about Gith and their reproduction to try and make sense of it, ESPECIALLY since Githzerai live in a completely different society but work in the same ways. Thus, I have decided the following

Obviously, it's not controlled in a biological sense by Vlaakith, or else the Githzerai would have died out a long-ass time ago. ( They live in Limbo, which has regular aging in case you didn't know. ) It is, however, controlled by her in the sense that she dictates who's allowed to breed, when, and with whom. This is managed by the fact that no living being can get pregnant in the Astral, and it's by her word alone that her warriors and mothers travel to and from the Material.

And I know what you're thinking, then; surely they'd have an inkling of who their parents are based on who comes and goes from certain creches at certain times, but the answer is no thanks to one specific fact: like sharks, Gith can have children from multiple partners in a single clutch, and there are multiple shu'kyani laying clutches at one time.

Gith generally only have 1-4 eggs at a time, though there are instances of more being produced at once with about the same rarity as humans.

Vlaakith does actually keep written record of genealogy, so that inbreeding isn't an issue. Though they have no true way of knowing who the father is, so a list of possibilities is kept.

Being allowed to be one of the mature males stationed in a creche is actually also considered both a privilege and a responsibility; on one hand, you've been allowed to potentially father some of the next generation, but on the other, it does mean you will age while you serve your deployment. And mind you, Vlaakith is v specific in her placements of her male warriors and shu'kyani for the specific reason that people will fuck people other than who they're told to bc that's just humanoid nature really.

Reproduction in Githzerai society isn't at all treated like a fucking dog breeding program, and they do generally know who their blood relations are for that reason. That said, it's something that they take v seriously, so not only are bad parents highly frowned upon and not allowed to continue beyond initial notice, it's just generally p rare for them to even have children without wanting them in the first place, but in the second, it's not culturally normal to see bad parents anyway. The accidental or unwanted children that do happen are almost always given to a specialized monastery that tends to them and gives them to parents who want to adopt -- all considered v normal.

Babies of only half Gith descent are technically possible, but are generally difficult to conceive, and thus quite rare. It's easiest among other races that also lay eggs for obvious reasons, but is semi plausible with those that don't -- though miscarriages / egg death, and lowered or no fertility is common in such lineages. The exception to that rule is elves or humans, thanks to the Gith having once been members of both race; though still difficult for couples of any combination of said races to have offspring together, they don't suffer the same issues with viability and fertility.

How Leona Got His Scar and Other Thoughts

So this is for sure something I’ve thought about a lot and how Leona’s Scar relates to him as a character. I get that it's very likely he was simply given a scar by Yana to mirror his Great Seven counterpart of Scar...but you guys know I love to create my own lore. I personally find the little information we do get on Leona’s scar interesting. In one of Leona's chats, Ruggie asks Leona where he got his Scar and notes that The King of Beasts also has a scar on his left eye.

Of course, Leona, being Leona, brushes off the question and says he doesn't remember, but logically, we know it would be silly for someone to forget how such a prominent injury was received. And as far as we know, he doesn't have any other scars besides this one. 

So, he’s avoiding the truth. Either so the writers can be cheeky about it all, since Scar’s scar origins have had many recons. OR, if you wanna look deeper, maybe there is an implication that Leona prefers not to talk about it because the memory is upsetting. So, he brushes it off with a smirk.

Since I love angst, I prefer the latter. But, let's put a pin in that for a sec.

I think an interesting aspect to all this is that in the Magical Archives (I believe) it's mentioned that scars are something to be proud of in Sunset Savanna, which always kinda puzzled me.

We know that Twisted Wonderland has a skewed perception of the respective Disney villains, but it's still an interesting choice.

In the Lion King lore, a scar is essentially a bad omen. After Scar's death, two characters, Kion and Kovu, are condemned to others viewing them negatively. It's treated as a "Mark of Evil" in the Lion Guard show and even used as a symbol of Kion's deteriorating mental health. There is a symbol found on the ground that they refer to as a “Mark of Evil" where Scar's spirit manifested. TBH, even the treatment of Scar himself borders on ableism and the fact that people refer to him BY his disfigurement is kinda wild.

Since we kinda get conflicting lore from TLK and Twisted Wonderland on how scars are viewed...this really made me think about how it affects Leona. 

I like to believe the view of scars is nuanced in the Sunset Savanna. Maybe now with the younger generations, there is a different attitude regarding scars and they no big deal. Maybe because of the King of Beasts more positive influence, they just are seen as a more "heroic" thing in general. 

But, going back to Leona-

I think with what we know of his backstory a chunk of his people view him as this “bad omen” already due to his unique magic. And maybe after Leona received his “mark,” at some point as a child, some folks (maybe older ones) became even more apt to view him as a cursed prince. In Leona’s overblot flashback, we see how the servants in the palace fear and gossip about him.

Since we don't know the full truth of it, since the writers love to deprive us of Leona lore… My headcanon is this- When he and Falena were young, someone went to attack Falena and because the guard’s attention was so focused on the direct heir, Leona was hurt in the crossfire. Not only this, Leona has quite an adverse reaction to being attacked (perhaps for the first time physically as I also HC he was a weak child) However, he was still a child with a powerful Unique Magic, one he maybe couldn't control well at the time. So he attacks the attacker, who was maybe even just another child playing rough or perhaps just a rowdy peasant? Either way, this doesn't end well, he perhaps fatally injures the attacker and is punished for it. And so, begins the series complexes he has as the grumpy Lion we know now.

The desire for him to always be in control and be proficient at magic and magical defense.

His cynicism confirmed. Being reminded again of his place in life. Being only viewed as "a spare heir" compared to his brother. An unnecessary piece.

The disconnection he feels with his family and their disapproval of him and his actions.

Perhaps, this is why Leona is so good at defensive magic (like he mentions to Riddle who failed to collar him at first in Chapter 2.) Maybe this is why he chose to take up sports and self-defense, to protect himself from others despite preferring his intellect to fight. We know he at some point learns from Kifaji how to wrestle in the Catch the Tail Tournament. All this to say, I believe whatever happened is something traumatic for Leona and linked to his insecurities as a person. (Kinda like in many of Scar's backstories) I get into that a bit in this fic I wrote of Yuu comforting Leona. I just find it interesting to think about how the memory of receiving his Scar has affected him as he got older. While cocky and good at acting nonchalant, I do believe, deep down Leona feels uneasy about others' commenting about it or touching it.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts, as per usual! Thanks for asking I enjoyed yapping!

alright i got at least one oomf waiting for me to make this post so here is the great sunny lore dump of all my jashverse stuff . everything below the cut

big fat any of this is subject to change later down the line as i keep adding to the lore and what i do have is a bit all over the place

and big fat warning for stuff like death, stalking, drugs/alcohol, and overall shitty people being shitty

heres a little bit of info to start :

both green and harmonia are twins, and hue (cjph) is their adoptive sibling (but has known the other two for basically their whole life). xander (20XX) and sisyphus are also twins

charlie/charlotte and scrapyard are siblings, charlie being older than scrapyard by 5 years (scrap is 19, charlotte is 24)

moss and rose are dating

luci lives with louis in a run down apartment because its all they can afford. they mainly only drink and smoke together but they do (or well, did) have a bit of a situationship going. louis harbors romantic feelings for luci but luci doesnt exactly return the feelings, he just doesnt like being lonely

wwph serves as a ferryman of sorts . i am still contemplating this idea but ive been thinking of splitting wwph into two separate jashlings: memento .. and mori, based off jash in memento mori and jash in laplace's angel. one helps souls go to heaven (memento) and one helps souls go to hell (mori)

alright time for timeline stuff

the first chunk of it . big fat spoiler alert a lot of my lore rn is luci/rdd based with a side of grandiflora bc theyre what ive built on the most rn

so it starts with the events of THDPH - lucis boyfriend dumps him and starts drinking heavily because of it. eventually one night he ends up drunkenly wandering into a forest, which is also the same place green goes to clear his head often

the two end up encountering each other, luci attacking green as he mistakes him for a threat leaving green no other choice than to fight back. green ends up smashing a rock into lucis skull, killing him . so what does green do after that? he panics and calls the guy whos dating the best friend of the person he just killed, of course. moss, for some reason, decides to help green hide the body and they agree to never talk about it again. despite this the guilt of it all causes green's mental health to spiral, damaging a lot of his relationships (esp with his siblings)

mori of course ends up taking lucis soul to hell, which he eventually ends up returning from

(there is probably more time between some of these events than shown on the tl)

second part starts off with scrapyard being a fucking moron! he is a dumbass 19 year old who only really gives a shit about video games and weed, so of course he gets the bright idea to rob someone he is delivering pizza to for their money because his job barely pays enough (idk who he robs yet, but probably someone that would feel bad enough for him to not press charges.. looking at you rose and or moss. scrapyard is still spending at least a night in jail tho)

this isnt on the timeline, but at some point charlie has to pick up scrapyard from jail to take him home and charlotte just kinda ends up freaking out on scrap due to this and all the other dumb shit hes done in the past . they are both mentally tired bc their parents suck ass and charlotte has had to parent scrapyard most of his life

this is officially also around the time hue and harmonia open their cafe: harmonia cafe.. bc yes that hc is canon to my lore

theyre the only two running it at first bc they severely misjudged how much work itd take and the stress of it all causes harmonia to split into heart, mind, and soul. in my canon the split is physical and the longer they are apart the more the deteriorate

heart is affected mentally, mental health slowly going down the drain. gradually going from being a bit down on occasion to full blown major depressive disorder & suicidal ideation, having various break downs and panic attacks daily

mind is affected in his head, starting out with a barely noticeable headache that turns into a migraine over time, experiencing worsening symptoms like dizziness, nausea, light sensitivity, etc.

soul is affected via his motor functions, losing control over different parts of his body

in short: theyre all effected in some way until theyre basically unable to function as people. theyll never die from it, but they might as well be dead if they cant harmonize fast enough.

that being said, hms do work at the cafe in harmonias place, lessening the work load a bit

hms being split also gives the chance for luci and soul to meet, leading them to date eventually. which is very fun for louis who totally didnt have romantic feelings for luci in the slightest trust !

eventually harmonia cafe hires scrapyard (probably as some sort of favor to charlie) and the work load and stress eases up enough for hms to harmonize once more

the last part of the timeline at the moment: the ttk plotline

hms harmonizing one again means luci and soul are basically forced to break up, causing luci to slip back into his depression particularly hard. louis, like the fucking piece of shit he is, decides to take the opportunity to get luci to relapse on coke in some sort of effort to make luci dependent on him. the relapse only adds to lucis spiraling mental state, to the point he decides to stalk harmonia in an attempt to resplit hms to see soul again

rose being lucis best friend tries to help luci as much as possible during all of it, but most of her efforts go to waste as he gets worse. eventually it causes moss and rose to argue over it, moss wanting rose to distance herself from luci for their own safety. it eventually ends in luci going to jail for awhile

this is virtually everything i got for my lore right now i might come back to add more if i remember something i forgot but for now this is all i can remember ..

UHMMM yes i am lore building for him........ i haven't decided everything yet but i know i want him to be a distant cousin species of goji's. everyone's fangoji lore is different but i def imagine him as a part of my personal monsterverse au rather than existing in his own world with no friends haha loser

likeeee for comparison it's probably similar to Crocodylia encompassing crocodiles, alligators, and gharials?? labra is in a similar niche to zilla for me. goji is the largest/apex species of the gojiran order, whereas zilla & labra are smaller and occupy a different niche. Big bruiser lion vs. carcal or lynx type thing.

my hc is that the vast majority of labra's species (pre-mutation art is what they looked like) was wiped out when ghido got into hollow earth. which is also the same time he wiped out most of the divine moths and a couple other species :''(

it ended with ghido iced but it fucked up the hollow earth ecosystem for a while and led to a lot more radiation leakage since he tore the place up real bad. labra was Almost Dead and ended up hibernating to recover by a radiation vent, but he'd laid down in feldspar vein that kinda grew to cover him and turned to labradorite and idk magic radiation nonsense it fused with him and caused him to grow/mutate.

the ghido massacre also caused battra to hibernate/mutate too so it's a Big Event in my silly au world. most of the kaiju that are clearly a result of mutation fuckery (biollante, kessho too) may be related to it as well but i haven't fully fleshed it out yet. it would mostly be based around goji's hyper-regeneration doing the thing where like.. if a big enough chunk of him gets lobbed off and has access to energy it mutates and tries to regenerate and causes a fucked up clone siblings thing idk omg ok i'm in tangent city good god sorry i was supposed to be talking about my gay son

ANYWAYSSSSSS for more general hc/character stuff: >labra is genuinely terrified of ghido and even gets freaked out when he hears wing beats without warning. (mosu beats rodan's ass bcuz he divebombs labra for fun sometimes) >he lives on monster island and ventures down to hollow earth sometimes, but he won't return to his old home because it just reminds him everyone else of his species is gone. (he isn't even his own species anymore bcuz of the mutation. so they're basically extinct.) >he loves swimming and sometimes just lays in the shallows to absorb sunlight. stretches out like a lazy ass cat. cat boy behaviour >he's loyal to goji and doesn't start shit with humans unless they attack first. even then he does his best to steer clear. >mothra likes his dorsal plates and talks with him sometimes (Moth Therapy) they can bond over ghido hating it's a good time >he has a mutually bitch-bother dynamic with rodan where rodan bothers the shit outta him until he manages to grab that turkey and idk sits on him or something. but if rodan really pisses him off he doesn't mind actually throwing hands because he knows goji won't care if he puts the bird in it's place. >he also likes angy, zilla, and bio a lot too.

first of all s/o to @swifty-fox who came up with a good chunk of these. i've been so focused on poor bucky's mental breakdown that quite honestly a part of the "they get married on paper and say they'll have a wedding...eventually" was me putting off figuring out that lore LOL. but here thee go.

they start planning it after bucky is out of the hospital and doing better. gale brings it up first- and bucky is so 🥺. obviously gale never asked for a divorce but, he still feels a little insecure about things/how much he put him through. so knowing gale *does* still want to marry him good and proper makes him a lil emotional. sweet boy.

they try to surprise each other with engagement rings and end up clashing with each others surprises bahaha. me thinks gale gets bucky a celtic eternity knot ring. bucky gets gale something like this.

big crowds/travel is still a bit of a rough spot for bucky, so it's in wyoming. in my mind they have a hugeee backyard. so cutesie homey backyard wedding it is.

curt is 1000% bucky's best man. that's his best friend and curt (this hasn't really been explored a great deal yet but it will be) quite frankly did about as much for him during his big ol breakdown spiral as gale did.

hmm idk who gale's is. choose your own adventure, its whoever you want it to be.

wearing their air force dress uniforms comes up briefly but bucky hates it so it’s tabled. gale asks the guys not to wear theirs either.

all the guys come into town, of course they do. they're *so excited* not just because it's their buddies getting married but bc this is the first time all of them except for curt and kenny have seen bucky in person since his attempt. so seeing him so happy and doing better makes them happy.

demarco does indeed bring meatball.

i think since they essentially share all the same friends they have a joint pre-party a few days before. maybe the first night everyone is in town. a reunion party of sorts.

i need to do a hc list explaining all the curt/kenny lore as it exists in my head but this is maybeee the first time everyone is seeing the two of them since they aren't (badly) trying to keep that they're involved on the downlow. which everyone gets a kick out of just as much as they do bucky and gale.

and, my favorite thing @swifty-fox and iame up with last night:

i know its hinted at in a few of the phone povs about bucky wanting to get sober but in my mind that's closer to when they have josie. so when they get married there is alcohol abound (lol). and gale, because hey it's his fucking wedding after all- partakes this time.

he sees bucky playing with croz's kids in the yard and gets so emotional because he just loves him so much, wants that with him and now they *can* have that together even after everything they've been though.

curt sees this and is like awww, i see that look buck! and sweet drunk gale just starts blabbering about how he's gonna put babies in him- he's gonna figure it out, JSTOR hasn't failed him yet.

to demarco, who is running around with his camera, this is the best moment of his life.

asks gale to run that by him one more time with the camera in his face.

"i said, you see my husband over there?" gale says seriously into the camera, holding himself up on curt with one arm around his waist and gesturing to where bucky is deep in drunk conversation with kenny "'m gonna figure out how to put babies in him. My VERY general lore for the Underworld Family!

Making this post for future reference for myself and others! There are SO many details missing but I hope this explains and helps understand a bit of my art/ hc’s. I will explain more in future posts I’m sure, though I’m also planning on writing a decent chunk of my lore. A book perhaps if I am inspired/ capable enough.

unstable universe is unstabling my universe p1

Everyone say thank you Pluto for encouraging my insanity! Please note I'm solely discussing Wemmbu’s character (and PrinceZam somewhat) in Unstable Universe from a lore standpoint. (This will be a mix of my own hc and how Ive perceived the events on the server- also i've literally only watched Wemmbu and am doing this from memory so bear with me)

God I have so many thoughts on UU!Wemmbu (and Mutiny Duo) dear lord. Like, the necessity of constantly being forced to put up a front due to the hunger games-esque environment of the server, the paranoia that has you looking over your shoulder, presenting yourself as a threat, making sure that you can back that statement as much as you can because if you’re seen as weak then you’re might as well dead. 

We see this in Wemmbu who, let's all be honest with ourselves, cares about the people around him (obviously to a degree, bc of the nature of the server) and the struggle between showing that care and taking care of himself. Like, the amount of times Wemmbu has threatened to ban someone and yet never followed through is Crazy. This man literally has never carried through with a death threat, and the reason why no one realizes that is because of the “infallible” persona he plays up, and his team-up with Zam’s crusade where they chunk-banned several players. Chunk-bans!! A temporary removal!! Someone needs to call him out for his empty threats. This man literally jumped into an arena to save Roshambo from FlameFrags because it was a losing battle and Roshambo was in danger of getting death-banned. He didn't need to. He already confirmed ManePear’s information and solidified their allyship. He didn't need to stick around. He didn't need to put himself in danger. Wemmbu knows he can't fight Flame and win, he actively compensates for those situations and avoids them without extensive planning Because he knows that. 

(Note: I am aware that he killed Tyrad, but consider that was a 3? 4? vs 1 fight on a server where players expect you to fight tooth and nail to live whether it be through totems, stasis chambers, escape, etc. When Wemmbu drops Tyrad there was genuine shock, muted or not. He didn't expect someone to Actually die. Reflecting on it is obviously not an option, he’s in the middle of breaking into a prison with several guards on his tail. Guards, who mind you, are stocked with the necessary effects for a fight. Additionally, when engaging in pvp Wemmbu tends to fight with the intention of escape, not actually killing his opponent.)

Of course, despite the violent nature of UU, developing a genuine relationship with other players is inevitable. Wemmbu makes several comments about ‘if he wanted to play alone, he'd load a single-player world.’ (Obviously a bit meta, but you know what I’m getting at.) And we see him do that. I’m mostly going to be focusing on PrinceZam and Eggchan as those (at least to me) are the most developed relationships, but there are hints of thought and care aimed at players we don't see too often. 

As I mentioned before, there's a struggle to show genuine care for a person on a server that will see that as a weakness and immediately exploit it. And we see that struggle between Zam and Wemmbu, who, despite consistently being at odds with each other, find satisfaction in that relationship. Sure, both of them are walking red flags, but there is genuine care in how they feel about each other, even if they're constantly holding back in order to maintain whatever image they've created for themselves. They're rivals. They constantly snarking, they're at each other's throats, they call out for each other in a fight, they make sure they have a full inventory (potions, gaps, enchant bottles, etc). They dress their worry with a lackadaisical attitude and are steadfast in believing that it's just that, even when their actions become entirely unnecessary. Wemmbu had a monopoly on the elytra, makes a point about it, yet easily gives one to Zam at the most logical opportunity (and then proceeds to give literally all of them to him sir wtf?? Crazy behavior I would never). Zam allows Wemmbu to treat him as someone other than a king, he lets him use the mace even if he was the one who got the heavy core; he trusts Wemmbu to have his back. Wemmbu traded the mace for Zam’s life not even knowing if it would work. They show love in the only way the server allows. And sometimes that care becomes too genuine, and they force themselves to pull back.

To reiterate, both Wemmbu and Zam have a plethora of issues, both are incredibly unreliable narrators who barely trusted each other but got very close. “I’d never betray you,” Wemmbu was too honest, that’s dangerous. “Unless it's convenient,” while definitely holding a modicum of truth, the statement feels so tacked on. Letting players know that you're attached to someone or something? Hell no. But even if he didnt mean it entirely and was mostly trying to save face (dare I say warn Zam from getting close?) he still said it. And of course Zam, who came from nothing and has built an empire, who has successfully worked to become someone who cannot be taken advantage of, who knows exactly how soft his underbelly and how to ensure no one else finds out, fixates on that. How can’t he? This is a man who, with every step, is looking back and allowing his history to haunt him. This is something that clashes so loudly with Wemmbu, who can't afford to think about the past, who can only change the present, who must persevere forward. Until Zam blows up the kingdom he asked Wemmbu to build. 

(Note: This analysis? Idk what im doing anymore im just yapping- Is more focused on Wemmbu than Zam, but I am aware that he likely has own complicated perspective that plays into his actions.)

At first the change in their relationship is subtle, small shows of power from Zam, a reminder that he is a king. Then it becomes sickly familiar tactics, tactics that Wemmbu has always accompanied, never faced. Their rivalry turned sour, every interaction they have haunted with what used to be. Wemmbu, who cares so much, watches the physical manifestation of his loyalty to Zam be blown up and thrown in his face, ‘my sweet, sweet Wemmbu’. He was used, manipulated, underestimated by someone who he, against all odds, cared for. Hate begins to fester, Wemmbu calls it a betrayal. You can't betray someone who didn't mean anything to you first. 

And then we’re able to witness unfiltered care between Wemmbu and Eggchan. We watch the pretense of the “infallible” player fall as he dresses himself in diamond, giving the netherite to his friend instead. As he ensures Egg’s safety in his schemes, as he trusts Egg to have his back, takes fights he knows he cant take so that Egg has more time to get out. And that loyalty is reciprocated tenfold. Egg is allowed numerous opportunities to leave, yet he chooses to stay despite the hardships. It's everything that was just out of reach for Zam and Wemmbu. (There's definitely a lot more to talk about but this is already gonna be so long). Egg won't stand by as his friend begins to come undone at the seams. He wont play into the cutthroat game this server has spun itself into. Which of course has consequences. While off on their chunk-banning crusade Zam and Wemmbu inevitably learned what made the other person tick. Kidnapping Egg was just another move on the chessboard bc god forbid that even if they hate each other, they take their eyes off each other for a second. 

This functions as the last straw, one last ditch attempt from Wemmbu in his war with Zam, he can't promise success but he sure as hell makes sure that he hits where it hurts. He blows his kingdom sky-high. And eye for an eye and a debt settled.

And then Zam apologizes. It's not necessarily out of the blue, for all the hurt he’s enacted on Wemmbu he's kept him alive for one reason or another (they are emotionally constipated dumbasses who care about each other and refuse to admit it). This changes everything and nothing. Despite the genuine admittance of grief and regret, the two don't pull their punches. They can only guess how many totems they've popped and how many are left. They switch foils. For a brief moment Zam does not allow his past to haunt him, ‘I don't want to accidentally kill you.’ Wemmbu, for all his persevering, for all his ability to focus on what he can do now, cannot let go of their past. For the first time, Wemmbu does want to kill a player. 

We’ll never find out if he wouldve carried through.

Starting with Avaeryn! He's not the actual Magister Merlin, just a stand-in for now, because he's actually just another OC I decided to throw into this world, and it just devolved from there lmao. BUT this does play into my lore for Esperia Avaeryn 👀 because since I just threw him here, he's not supposed to exist in this world. Soooooo his soul is the only thing actually existing in this world that is Him. His soul, for some reason, decided to reside in the body of the actual Magister Merlin, Osiria, and accidentally booted out a chunk of her soul from her own body💀 this explains the amnesia for those two, bc Avaeryn literally Does Not Go Here and chunks of Osiris's memory got separated between body and soul. Don't ask me the science behind that bc I also don't know. Most of the magic Vaer knows is just Osiria's muscle memory or whatever little is left in that body.

Onto Osiria! She is the actual Merlin OC I made for this game, and therefore the Merlin people are usually referring to. She doesn't have the entirety of her memory anymore ofc since a chunk of her soul got booted out, so that chunk just follows her body around now lmao. She's just a non-corporeal being for the time being who can't really interact with stuff. However, I do think if one's magic is strong enough they can sense her, and maybe eventually see her, though Avaeryn's the only one who can do that rn. She doesn't know how to get back to her body and ofc Vaer doesn't know how to Not Be Here. Osiria still feels connected to her body in some way and can feel whatever goes on in there, as in emotions and injuries, and maybe in dire situations can retake control for precious moments. I hc that as a Merlin she's essentially immortal, although definitely not invincible. Like, her consciousness/soul can live forever and move onto a new body if she can't save her old body, but her bodies can live however long it can manage. But, since only a portion of Osiris's soul got kicked out of her body, her soul can't really find another body bc then there'll be two of her. Which is probably not good.

Personality wise these two are complete opposites.

Vaer is a very reserved and introverted person. He is the textbook definition of anti-social. He does not like being bothered. At All. So the fact that he is now this renowned mage that legit everyone knows and looks up to.. not liking that too much lmao. People are too friendly with him and he doesn't know how or want to handle that. He's also a very blunt and monotonous person, and on top of the fact he looks like he's gonna murder you 24/7, everything he says comes off as either sarcastic or rude. Osiria is giving it her soul's ALL to keep this guy from being like "why are you here. Leave me alone" to everyone he sees. They have the Merlin's reputation to uphold of course, and Vaer is making it SO hard for her. Like, Avaeryn's a good person. He's not gonna sit there and watch someone get mauled, and he's not gonna be intentionally rude or malicious or no reason. He's not even that easily annoyed, he just sounds like he constantly is lmao. (he Will throw hands if needed but he's smart enough to not. usually). He's quiet too but that also does not help with much at all. Monotonous and you can barely hear him. Which is driving Osiria insane. I literally made this guy so I can put him in games and pick rude dialogue without feeling that guilty LMAO

Osiria on the other hand is THE friend you wanna make. Very sweet, soft-spoken, and so So very caring. Wants to go out of her way to help anyone she comes across, and absolutely adores everyone around her. Perfect mother/big sister figure anyone would want. She nags Avaeryn a little too much for his liking bc if this lmao. She wants him to go help anyone and everyone, while all he wants to do is just be left alone. Which is never gonna happen. Though, she is a bit tooooo kind in the sense that she thinks everyone deserves to be helped, and will put her all into it. This can lead to her kindness being taken advantage of quite often, but good thing Vaer's rational enough to keep things balanced. The thing is, she's not stupid- she's aware that there's people taking advantage of her sweetness, but she just wants to help anyway. "It's best to help anyway because what's the point of leaving them stranded?" Avaeryn just thinks that they shouldn't inconvenience themselves if people can handle their own problems fine enough. People also don't like being called out by him (rightfully) lmao. Osiria thinks that's too mean though.

Relationship wise, they respect each other. Avaeryn stresses out Osiria a bit too much but overall, she understands that he usually means well, even though it often doesn't feel that way lmao. also that he's very much not a people person, so she doesn't make him go out strolling to find people to help just bc she feels like it. Wishes he doesn't scare her hamsters too much though. Vaer respects Osiria a lot as a person and as a magister. He understands that she's an important figure and therefore isn't as rude when she's around, especially since she's way too nice. He'll feel bad. Complies with her wishes more often than he would for other people bc he did technically overtake her body, and it's not like there's much else he can do lol. Overall they give more of a brother/sister relationship than anything else, and balance each other out quite well

Can I gush about some connections between hc!Philza and q!Philza that we saw on display today? Not all the god lore, nothing nearly that important. I wanna gush about Phil's love of exploration.

(This was definitely inspired by @greaterspawnislands' post about hc!Phil, which solidified for me a bunch of things I'd half-noticed from watching some of the Hardcore series.)

So, cc!Philza's playstyle in Hardcore and QSMP are radically different. Most of Phil's time in HC is spent working on giant builds over the course of months, interspersed with fishing and zoomies breaks around his existing builds. He spawnproofs all areas that he spends time in so meticulously that you might almost forget he's not in peaceful mode, and he doesn't venture outside his established projects very often.

Meanwhile, on QSMP, Phil is constantly fighting mobs and exploring new chunks. And, of course, hanging out with other people. But underneath the extremely different mechanics, cc!Phil is actually choosing to express the same genre. hc!Philza's story isn't about building; it's about discovering the creations of the gods that inhabited the world before him. Both q!Phil and hc!Phil absolutely love exploring, documenting, and preserving their worlds.

And then we get to today. And there's a bunch of important lore stuff yeah yeah yeah but what about the OCEAN MONUMENT? The silly little outing meant to pass time and maybe blow off some steam. In which Phil did exactly what he has always loved to do in HC: He explored a majestic piece of architecture, of history, and found a way to return a bit of its former glory. But there was one huge difference between this expedition and those of Hardcore: Fit was there.

In QSMP, time and time again, we've seen Phil carefully pick people to bring to his discoveries. When he finds something incredible, he decides which of his closest friends and family would like it the most, and gifts control of the expedition to them. It's just such a wonderful little evolution of his exploration practices in Hardcore, and every time I see it happen, it makes me smile.

-changelings are made asexually via the queen laying eggs, while royal changelings are born sexually and are given extra love as larvae to become royals (if not they just become regular drones) (kindaaa like bee logic of queens being regular larvae that were just given extra care/certain diet) this means probably a decent small little chunk of the drones are actually potential heirs that just weren’t given the extra love/magic when they were young to develop that way so they just grew up as regular drones. They are, of course, never told this by chrys bc she sucks like that.

-bc of the asexual reproduction logic this means all changelings are technically the same sex but just identify differently (and bc shapeshifter just naturally can make their voices sound different to fit that as well)

-another hc is that rulers are always Queens, so clownfish logic if hypothetically pharynx or thorax took the throne they’d change to become Queen, not King, (tho the reformation renders that rule null and void bc they actually get to be unique from eachother so no more all identical sex yay) I think this would be fun to explore considering all the princesses for the ponies are ofc princesses so thorax is Thoroughly confused by prince shining armors existence bc Why Is He Not Female If He Rules Equal To Cadence ?????? And then learns ponies genders do not have any correlation to rulers and it’s literally just pure coincidence. Also by this logic chrysalis is trans but like. not really. Lol? They’re bugs their gender don’t really work that way so actually no she’s not trans

-changelings are meant to “reform”!! That was not just a new phenomenon !! None of them ever metamorphosed bc chrys just was keeping things the same/not changing for so long bc shes greedy and selfish and doesn’t wanna share love so basically rewired her entire species to remain in their “caterpillar” states. They’re only meant to steal love as to get enough magic to undergo metamorphosis in which they can now self make love for themselves and in turn share that magic with others, but Chrys never allowed that and just made them all remain starving for ages out of stubbornness.

-age on lobster logic (live as long as they have magic/love to feed from and only die from battle or injury) but thorax n pharynx i do think are still within adult pony age rn (so the idea is chrys is pretty old (not tia and Luna old tho) but she’s not immortal per say) pharynx is older while thorax is younger (probably late 20s phar (somewhere from 26-29 range maybe?) VS like rlly early 20s thor like right on the dot probably, seeing as a lot of ppl back when he was introduced assumed he was a teen based on voice/crystal hoof disguise but then that hc kinda faded after reformation made him more explicitly adult coded which is the take I always went with lol I never saw him as a teen/never thought of changelings with one to one direct pony ages)

-breezies and changelings are offshoots of the same species/are part of the same creature family, hence my breezies look really similar to the reformed changelings :3 (think maybe another mlp example to be like sirens and kelpies and hypocampus’s could also follow same species group umbrella logic as changelings and breezies and flutter ponies)

-speaking of— a changeling and pony hybrid would be the flutter ponies from the g1 toys!! :) (basically they’re just pony but w bug wings (but maybe in mine they will have a few other changeling traits as well))

-Royal changelings are the only ones with “horns” aka stingers in this case, and the only ones with unique accent colors while all the drones are just blue, more differences are extra eyes and the lil chest gem thingys

-love is a form of magic in the changelings case and has a physical magical form rather than it just being an emotion, both when they steal it as well as when sharing it/having it in their metamorphosis forms

-already obvious but reformed forms play on their desires/identity (thorax w long mane like he wanted bc it always was forced to be cut bc of all the drones having to look the same including the heirs so his mane was as long as it was allowed, and upon leaving he grows it out a bit and finally in reformed it’s the long style he wanted but never got :3 or pharynx stays pretty similar bc he prided himself in his status and the og changeling look)

-thorax was a fluke/not intended to be an heir BUT chrys thought it would be good to have a backup/spare for in case something happened to pharynx seeing as he was going to be in dangerous situations a lot but that means thorax is only royal in title bc he gets noooo respect at all the other drones hate him soooo much

-thorax is a people pleaser but NOT naive at all. He can smell a liar from a mile away which makes him getting taken advantage of by other changelings so often hurt more bc He Knows What They’re Doing And Falls For It Anyway Bc He Wants To Be Helpful Literally Anyway At All..

in other words my thorax is just a glorified version of the trope of girl pretends to be a bimbo/plays dumb to hide she’s actually really smart LOL…..

-pharynx very tough love w thorax/actually does care abt him (unlike chrys and the drones) but he’d never admit it. Bc thorax hates stealing love pharynx will give him whatever love he gathered from his missions/patrols bc he thinks it’s gross/only gets what he needs to not be hungry which isn’t much (lol stupid doesn’t realize he’s aro lollll)

-pharynx gets such a huge ego from the fact he’s rarely hungry/not starving like the others bc “lollll im just built different bc I’m heir/Captain of the guard I think this is just a skill issue on yalls part lol lmao imagine starving and thinking love is good srs how do you guys eat this stuff and crave it no less it tastes awful” and they just look at him like “….bro???? -I think in this vein this means sexuality is based on what form of love they prefer the taste of it’s like how Misquotes prefer specific blood types, so pharynx thinks all love tastes gross VS say thorax would prefer love from colts/thinks love from mares doesn’t taste good just like pharynx thinks (but with all of it in his case not just a specific type)

-post TWABA pharynx goes with chrys to stay with her with a few others acting as a resistance like we heard abt in the canon but never saw that slowly get picked up by the new hive until it’s just chrys and pharynx who also eventually caves bc he loves his brother/protecting his subjects and realizes chrys has been manipulating him esp post TWABA she gets a lot more explicitly cruel/harsh w pharynx as her small hive is picked off one by one she stops being all sugar coating and gaslighting and just gets Verbatim Abusive bc she’s done playing around her kid needs to lock tf IN if they wanna take back her hive (spoiler alert she will not take back her hive. Lol.)

-changelings have stingers for tongues that they can use to drain love directly when kissing victims bc I think that visual is very fucked up in a good way it’s icky and in line with their whole shtick (you can see this in my screenshot redraws on chrysalis)

-their disguises are never perfect, usually really small things are off, and if they take the form of a made up pony— (see: thorax w his pony disguise (both referring to canon (crystal hoof) and my version (orchid mantis)) —their eyes will always remain the same color and fangs will remain as well. Rule for all of them tho regardless of if they’re copying or original forms is their eyes will glow in dark/reflect light (think like cats/raccoons/deer or like for a media example nimona in the scene of the red siren lights making her eyes glow)

-ocellus not designed yet BUT I’d love to perhaps make her a sunrax kid/flutter pony in turn :3€ ocellus shimmer just has a nice ring methinks, though bc of my designs not fitting her canon one she’d probably get a redesign to include elements of both of them more (maybe white and orange/pink/red? Might snag elements from an old changeling oc of mine that was those colors as well to look like chrysalis with inverted colors plus fits my current thorax design, tho that makes me debate if she should be a ladybug like canon (iirc?) OR monarch butterfly bc orange but I think prob ladybug seeing as pharynx is a beetle it would feel like an odd jump to butterfly when none of the family are butterflies (pharynx is an iridescent beetle, thorax is an orchid mantis, and chrys is a mantis/if I make a metamorphosis design she’ll be a lunar moth) so ladybug feels more in line, though doesn’t mean some of the drones can’t be butterfly themed bc aforementioned they all get to be unique now/not identical

-on topic of ocellus I initially was gonna cut the school BUT I now think I’d wanna do it only if it was a slight timeskip/id change up the student six species n characters a bit so they’d not just be The Mane Six Two yk? This also means maybe cozy could still try to take over in my vers as well bc she’s a different species she has an excuse to use the schools melting pot status to her advantage (tho I’d have to think on it more later/rewatch that season bc my memory on it is rlly fuzzy)

Okay I was thinking of adjusting/changing something in my lore for Miraculous in general but specifically HC/LL and it's a little to do on how the Butterfly and Peacock work.

Essentially. In my AU they're not limited to one Akuma/Sentimonster at a time. They can make multiple.

Well. Kids can only make one per transformation but by using multiple transformations they can make multiple.

The catch, however. Is that doing so takes more Magic Energy. It takes a chunk of Magic to make an Akuma/Sentimonster.

This is why Gabriel doesn't just Scarlet Moth all over the place. He needed to create Catalyst to give him a power boost and bend the rules.

But it's also going to allow HC!Lila to make more Sentimonsters without destroying and re-creating Bandito.
