Death Note au for BSD?? yes please >:))
Younger Dazai as Light- Odasaku died a year ago, robbing his life of any colour it had, and he puts on a bubbly facade around his classmates and friends (the ADA) but in reality struggles to feel anything. One day he comes across the death note, and is stunned as he realizes its powers.
Oda had told him before he died to ‘be on the side that saves people’ (same as canon) and Dazai realises that the death note is his chance to fix the world, becoming Kira to get rid of criminals who (in his mind) killed his best friend.
(An older, less immature Dazai like in the series might have made a different choice, but in this au he’s more like 15-yr-old PM Dazai- except still traumatized from Oda)
Mori as Ryuk, who explains the power of the shinigami to him, amused with Dazai's decision to kill criminals using the notebook (He'd look even more terrifying than Ryuk as a shinigami tbh, less monstrous and more human-like but that makes him all the more eerie).
Akutagawa as Misa, holder of the second death note and puts Kira up on a pedestal, revering him for murdering the criminal who killed his family. Dazai uses him to further his goals, feeling nothing towards him although the younger boy borderline worships him (pretty similar to canon).
Chuuya as L, along with the rest of the PM as the police force. In this au Chuuya still has a hot temper but it’s more of a controlled, and efficient rage- he might be amiable in company but as soon as the door slams shut he’s gritting his teeth, kicking his chair back as he takes his anger out on a new case.
(At first I thought Chuuya as L might not fit due to the differences in intelligence, but really Chuuya is far smarter than he lets on- he's a tad gullible though)
Kouyou as Watari, who discovered 8-year-old Chuuya and brought him to an orphanage for intellectually gifted children (Wammy’s House), and being the most intelligent he became almost like an uncrowned king. Aka a parallel with the king of the sheep, if you will.)

There's a difference between shipping two characters and acknowledging the intense (usually gay) bond between characters. You guys get what I mean, right? Like I'm not just going insane?
Like a BSD example:
-I casually ship Louisa X Lucy because I feel like their dynamic could work in a romantic context and because I love it when girls are in love and they both deserve to be happy 🩷
-HOWEVER Chuuya and Dazai have an intense bond, they are one soul in two bodies, written and designed to compliment the other, Chuuya trusts Dazai with his life and vice versa, Dazai believed in Chuuya's humanity from the very beginning, their old and sorted dynamic, Chuuya being like the only one who understands Dazai's motives, and so, knowing all of this, I simply have no choice but to acknowledge their homosexuality because if I don't then I'm just being willfully ignorant
Or a MHA example:
-I somewhat ship Dabi x Hawks because it's hilarious whilst also having beautiful potential for angst
-BUT Bakugou and Midoriya quite simply just are gay as shit for each other and I have no choice but to accept it. Rivals constantly pushing the other, their complicated history and how they've both grown because of it, their understanding of the other, Bakugou basically trusting Midoriya with his fears and insecurities, Bakugou being the first to know about One for All, Kaachan Bakugou.
Or a MTP example:
-I guess you could say I ship Microsoft X Albert because I think it's sorta very funny and extremely plausible.
-MEANWHILE William and Sherlock are like the only person who understands each other and can keep up with them and Sherlock is diving off of buildings and cradling William's head as they fall (in love).
Or a JJK example:
-I kinda ship Maki X Nobara because I can and I want to and they could work
-ALTERNATIVELY Gojo and Geto where each others one and only best friend, best friend they ever had, knows his smell, his heart and soul know otherwise. They're just disgustingly in love and I hate it but there's nothing I can do about it except cry
Or a Haikyuu example:
-I do ship Hanamaki X Matsukawa because lord is it hilarious and the fanon presentation of a romantic relationship between them is always the funniest thing ever and the fics are so good
-YET Hinata and Kageyama are exactly what the other needed, Kageyama found his better half, their constant pushing of the other to do better, promises fulfilled and matches won, casual moments and casual touch. I did not choose to see them in a romantic light, they forced me to. I am a victim
Or a Merlin example:
-I dabble in shipping Percival X Gwaine purely because I can and no one is gonna stop me
-ALTHOUGH Merlin and Arthur are so gross and icky and care about each other so much and repeatedly risk their lives for the other and Arthur asked Merlin to hold him whilst he dies and Merlin spends forever waiting for Arthur's return. I just can't view them platonically or something after everything I've seen them do and I don't believe anyone who says that they truly don't seem them as romantic or at least something other than platonic or brotherly because how could you not??
Or a Doctor Who example:
-I could ship the Doctor X Jack because that's actually class
-UNFORTUNATELY that would be asking me to ignore the Doctor and Rose. He burned up a sun to say goodbye. He loved her. She loved him, was willing to never see her mother again if it meant she stayed with him. I'm sorry but cmonnnn
Nah but you get what I mean, right? Like I don't 'ship' these people, they're just IN LOVE and I hate them for it.

Soukoku SFW Alphabets✨ (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Part 2, Part 3
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Their ways of showing affection are weird, from writing death messages to teasing each other like no tomorrow, they probably have the type of affection that just traumatises any onlookers. Between them, they both show equal amounts of affection, just different ways of showing it. Dazai uses more words to make Chuuya feel better, while Chuuya shows affection through his actions, like making Dazai's fav dish for dinner.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Of course their friendship started with a fight. As best friends, they would probably be the worst not when bickering between themselves but when they make it everyone's problem. When they work towards a common goal though, they are unstoppable, whether it be studying for a test, or a devious plan to prank literally everyone around them. Either way, the duo is a major headache for whichever poor soul that has the misfortune of crossing paths with them.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
This one's a definite yes. Cuddles are probably their favourite way of showing affection. At first sight, many would think that Dazai is the big spoon, but in reality, Chuuya's the big spoon. Dazai just likes to cling to Chuuya and fall asleep while listening to his heartbeat. Chuuya loves to bury his head in Dazai's hair and smell the sweet shampoo he'd bought for Dazai. Both of them have trouble sleeping when the other's not around, especially Dazai.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
Dazai is a huge flirt and proposes double suicides with every other woman he meets, but his heart belongs to Chuuya. It's a fact that had established itself unknowingly in his head ever since he met Chuuya, but being the emotionally constipated idiot he is, Dazai didn't realise it until much much later. Chuuya is loyal to a fault, and that's the absolute truth. Ever since he fell for Dazai, Chuuya's never looked at anyone else. Maybe a few flings with nameless faceless people after Dazai left, but he never let go of the feelings he had for Dazai. As for chores, Chuuya does most of the work, but surprisingly, Dazai does some work too. It was a fact that had scared the living daylights out of the ADA when they learnt about it.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
No. The thing is, no matter how much they try to stay apart, they always gravitate towards each other in the end. It's like Dazai's Chuuya's other half, and vice versa. So no, I can't write anything for impossible scenarios.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
No matter when they actually get married, their hearts were already married since they were fifteen. But Dazai was a bit afraid of the commitment at first, but as they slowly unravelled each other(and themselves in the process) Dazai's fear evaporated away. Dazai wanted to get married as soon as they got together after he defected, but Chuuya needed more time to process the events, so they got married a little late (in their opinion anyway. Kunikida still thinks 23 is too early to tie the knot.).
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
"Gentle is something that's not in Soukoku's vocabulary." is what many would think. But they are surprisingly soft when they're in tune with each other's emotions. It wasn't an easy task, especially with all the masks Dazai wore, but when Chuuya understood what Dazai needed at the moment, he became gentle and giving. Though Dazai is an expert at observing, he doesn't know how to express his feelings and ends up using physical contact to show that he really cares. In the end, Dazai is gentler physically, while Chuuya is gentler emotionally.

Who are your top 7 favorite ships ever (can be canon or non canon) from any media? Why love them? Thanks 🌻
hi anon!! these aren't really ordered, but I put bsd ships first because it's the fandom I'm the most heavily involved in compared to the rest. ^^ under the cut are ships from other fandoms.
Soukoku (Dazai/Chuuya)
I've pretty much been into them since my inception of getting into BSD. There's a trend of me liking similar ships down below of having a dynamic like these two. I like the bickering that they do and they remind me of two brothers that act like they absolutely can't stand one another, but you'll still catch them having each other's backs at the end of the day and making sure they're okay. The growth of their relationship, in my opinion, went from at one point Chuuya really didn't like Dazai when they first met at 15. Without a doubt. And it's understandable considering the circumstances of how and why Chuuya joined the Port Mafia. But over time, Chuuya's been really forgiving in a sense that he doesn't hold actual grudges and he doesn't throw things up in Dazai's face. (and vice versa) They know sensitive information about one another that they'd never use against each other, like Dazai would never throw it up in Chuuya's face the friends he lost, the Flags, how he feels about his humanity, etc., and Chuuya would never do the same to Dazai about Oda.
2. Fyozai (Dazai/Fyodor)
I've actually been into them almost as long as Soukoku. I can totally get behind Fyolai, but I still kinda gravitate toward Fyozai more because I like how they're two sides of the same coin. I like that Dazai is the one closest to understanding Fyodor on an intellectual level and they're like weird business competitors in a way. Like, there's no offenses between them, but Dazai is in Fyodor's way, and Fyodor is in Dazai's way so one of them needs to go. But because Dazai is the one realistically closest to understanding Fyodor and the feeling of alienation that comes with being way too intelligent for your own good, they'd find strange company in one another. They can have conversations and be each other's chess partners while Fyodor tests Dazai's resolve to stick to Oda's wish to be a good person while Fyodor's very much not being a good person. I basically see them as foils that feed into one another. They're more alike than they think (maybe).
3. Suegiku (Tetchou/Jouno)
They're like total opposites and they still make it work. Tetchou's very much not okay with some of Jouno's sadistic tendencies and he's just not having it. Jouno's acted a little irritated at Tetchou's quirks, but it's obvious that he really respects Tetchou on a deeper level beyond just being one of the strongest, and vice versa. (Tetchou vs Kenji when he asked about Jouno, anyone?) I think because Tetchou has such a strong sense of (righteous) justice that conflicts with Jouno's past of being in a mafia, they're drawn to understanding that other side of one another. Jouno comes off incredibly standoffish and pretty much scares anyone off with how he acts, but the fact that he ended up becoming a Hunting Dog and left behind his mafia past proves that he desires a change for the better.
4. Mushiango (Mushitaro/Ango)
LISTEN. These two are harder to analyze since they had so few moments together, but I like seeing them as a tragic duo. The running joke is that they're two widowers coming together, but I think they'd, oddly enough, make a fun duo. Just chaotic energy from Mushitaro and a deadpanning Ango who's completely DONE but still puts up with Mushitaro and lets him get away with it because Ango doesn't actually mind deep down. He needs that little bit of comedic relief in his life. On a more serious note, they have that guilt and trauma of killing some near and dear to them that also haunts them. I think they can find mutual closure in one another having that understanding of doing what needed to be done at the cost of shouldering that burden for the rest of their lives.
5. Ratiorine (Dr. Ratio/Aventurine)
I'm not SUPER well-versed in Star Rail lore, so I'm not gonna analyze them too deeply. But Aventurine's really cheeky with Ratio. Ratio is always ignoring those cheeky comments of Aventurine and trying not to let them get to him when he's got business on the mind. But when Ratio does crack, oh boy. They also end up bickering and it reminds me of Soukoku. Ratio's straight up made fun of Aventurine's clothes and called him an idiot. But when either of them goes too far and makes a hurtful remark, they're actually respectful of one another and quickly take it back. They do get along. Aventurine just loves pushing buttons.
6. Shuake (Joker/Akechi)
It's been a hot minute since I've delved into Persona 5 related stuff, but I really liked these two and their dynamic. The temporary allies-to betrayal-to rivals-to allies again pipeline I found really interesting, and I was glad to see it be a little more fleshed out in P5R. Once again, foils of one another. It actually kinda touched me that Akechi said along the lines of had it been another timeline, maybe they could've actually been friends.
7. Iwaoi (Iwaizumi/Oikawa)
These two would've been higher on my list several years ago, but I kinda just drifted away from Haikyuu over time. They still hold a place in my heart, though. They're like an old married couple. They also do a lot of bickering because Iwaizumi's just not having Oikawa's shit, but they've known each other since they were really young and have been through high-highs and low-lows together. Iwaizumi keeps Oikawa in check, scolds him for overexerting himself—has had to remind Oikawa that their whole team is a TEAM and it's not just Oikawa alone. (even though Oikawa is the kind of obsessive perfectionist who will never be happy with himself) and Oikawa's also put his trust in Iwaizumi in matches and has often chosen to set the last ball to him, specifically. Practically inseparable. Still like an old married couple.

@wasabito
thanks for tag babes! @sukumen ♥️ here’s a piece of a little gojo/reader thing i was working on for a friend.
“You want me to meet your family?”
From where you’re laying, head cradled in his lap, legs stretched out over the expanse of sofa, you can’t help but notice the way his brows pinch at the center of his forehead. For once, he isn’t wearing those godforsaken bandages. His face is bare and every minute expression that flitters across his face is on full display.
Unhappiness isn’t something Gojo shows often, especially not to you. But his subtle displeasure remains stark in comparison to the childish grin he normally sports--prominent even when hidden behind his natural mannerisms that usually take the form of silly humor, or nonchalance.
“Yeah…is that a problem?”
“Nope.” He tosses a caramel corn in his mouth, directing his gaze back to the television. The old film is not worth the amount of attention he gives it, but the conversation is effectively cut short.
You consider the running length of your relationship of eight months, the number of shared ‘i love you’s’, and even the living arrangement that has afforded you a toothbrush in his bathroom and vice versa. Surely meeting your family is not the strangest thing for you to ever suggest. Really, what could be the harm?
tagging: @yinses @inaflashimagine only if y’all feel like sharing!
@cloudyzoshi
Ahhhhh thank you for tagging me I'm 🥺😍🥺🥺🥺
All those wips sound so interesting and amazing so uhh I hope this lil extract from a chuuya/reader thingy I've been struggling with for a month (and am now lowkey publicly committing to finishing haha) will do!!
"What? Are you kidding me? That's not funny, Chuuya, we've got to go after—"
"He left us behind. He chose to go and tell no one." Chuuya pours himself a glass, full past any measure acceptable among polite society, and takes a swig from the bottle. "Don't even think for a second that I'll be pathetic enough to come crawling after that traitor."
Now that you're looking, he seems not to be celebrating so much as drowning his sorrow.
You can't bring yourself to relent, to accept that Dazai abandoned you both, that even if you find him this will not be a severance easily mended. The blood is fresh, the wound tender. So you sigh, shoulders dropping, and swear to yourself you'll look for him tomorrow.
"May I?" You gesture vaguely, neither quite at the spare chair, the wine, the desk, or him.
And idk who I can tag so I'm just gonna be so bold and say @yinses @black-omega-04 @mystic-sky i hope you like tag games! And anyone else who wants to participate obviously 😊😊
i was tagged by two lovely people and wanted to include them both, so be on the look out for these future works !! here is a insert to the nanamin fic im brewing :
‘why this dress?’
was the first thing you greeted him with as he stepped over the threshold. nanami was already working his tie loose, hair tousled freely now that his hands could wander outside of his office.
before answering, he placed a customary kiss to your lips in proper welcome.
“because it will look beautiful on you.”
and it would. you didn’t deny that. you weren’t a prideful person but you knew to give praise where it was due. the seamstress had worked magic on the dress enabling anyone who wore it to be the object of attention.
but that wasn’t what you were meant to be tonight.
you were simply accompanying him as his wife.
nanami didn’t generally bring you to events such as these, mostly due to the fact that he rarely attended them himself. beyond his efforts in the office, he never saw the need to cultivate relationships past business.
which was fine. but if this was only work-related.
biting your lip, you trailed behind him quietly.
tagging whoever wants to participate!!

Akutagawa had never known how it was to desire another person.
It wasn’t that he had no desire at all, no. He wanted strength as a human and later, acknowledgement in his vampire life. So saying that he had none was an outrageous claim.
It wasn’t that he had no affection, either. He had his sister, Gin, in both lives. Hardships came but couldn’t do more than making them averse to being overly affectionate in appearance. And with eternity, they grew closer.
Beside family, Akutagawa was fond of several others as well. Like Dazai, his sire and mentor, though with a fair amount of fear and contempt. What he had done was irreversible but the bond between sire and childe was coded in the blood and yeah, the result was that he had become quite twisted in certain aspects.
Dazai’s two mates, Oda and Chuuya were also in the list. Oda was a great caretaker and helped with smoothing out the later half of his and Gin’s transition into vampirism after Dazai’s big mess. Bad-tempered and fierce but no less of a good listener, Chuuya was the one who kicked Dazai around whenever his sire got annoying.
And Akutagawa was fine with those. Any creature could live with just love for family and friends. He was no exception.
Yet sometimes, as he watched Dazai, Oda and Chuuya interacting or just hovering around themselves, Akutagawa could see a different kind of warmth between the three. From their eyes to their voices to their gestures, a warmth that was so unlike what he had with them and with Gin, that no ones else could take away. Loving and tender and wanting, with a touch of possessiveness typical to the vampire race. Not something Akutagawa himself had ever known.
At those times, his mind would be filled with a what-if scenario where he had someone he loved romantically. How would it feel to immerse in that kind of warmth? Would he wish them to have eyes on him and him only and vice versa? Would he never want to let them go and to be with them always?
That train of thought often left a shiver reverberating through Akutagawa’s body. He then would quickly chase it away and recompose himself.
He wasn’t curious. He wasn’t lonely. So there was no need to dwell on that matter.
Akutagawa’s first Melancholy hit when he reached two hundred and odd years old. Gin’s followed shortly after. The underground crypt had quite a comforting embrace for them.
Five hundred years later, he was woken up by a newly matured vampire named Nakajima Atsushi. The blood that revived him was gentle in taste yet full of life. The eyes that looked at him said that their owner was genuinely fascinated.
But blood and a gaze weren’t enough to entice Akutagawa, no.
After that, they woke up his sister and returned to Dazai. Akutagawa already knew Nakajima was another childe of his sire from the time in the crypt by his scent, which made them sibling by means of Second Blood. Childes of the same vampire could become familiar with themselves faster than imagined. Gin was the first to befriend Nakajima, and anyone who was friend of Gin would be welcome by Akutagawa. Though slow, his friendship with the young blood was formed eventually.
And from their friendship, Akutagawa’s attraction built up. The incidents in their life had a hand in as well.
Childes of the same vampire, friend, comrade. Life tossed and turned with eventful as its theme. Because they stayed in close proximity - living in one castle belonging to a clan-alliance did that - Akutagawa didn’t realize his heart had gravitated closer to Atsushi day by day until the fact slapped him in the face.
Atsushi’s scent had become soothing to Akutagawa’s mind, filled him with warmth each time he caught it. Atsushi’s smile would turn his mood light and brighten his day. And if Atsushi touched him, electricity would zap and run through his body, then phantom heat would linger for hours after.
He started to go to wherever Atsushi was. His hands would raise and touch Atsushi in friendly gestures with a second longer than what should be. Rashoumon, the hellish beast that had merged with Akutagawa’s subconciousness, often sent a silent tendril of shadow to Atsushi that disguised itself in the dark of his boots, protecting and sentimental in the more subtle way that only he (and Dazai for sure) knew.
Then came the dreams. Dreams of him sitting with Atsushi on green grass under a tree’s shadow. Of him kissing Atsushi as sweetly as he could while holding the young vampire close. Or Atsushi nestling at his side while he read his favorite book. But the most torturous ones were those that had them embracing tightly as if they were melting into one being, the lust apparent in wandering hands and searing kisses, bruises and blood painted their bodies to mark their passion for each other.
It was a lot more powerful than he had thought.
And Atsushi made it worse. He didn’t just smile and give innocent touches. No, his hands remained just as long while his face was flushed a pretty shade of red. His eyes were wide and his gaze intense every time he thought Akutagawa wasn’t paying attention. Once, Atsushi had thought himself sneaky enough, only to got caught red-handed watching Akutagawa.
Now, feelings from dreams trickled into Akutagawa’s waking moments. Many times, he had to stop himself from reaching out to Atsushi, knowing the result would be something inappropriate. Unfortunately, the more he held back, the hotter his flame burned.
However, Akutagawa wasn’t the type to sit still and let things slide, no. The solution to his problem maybe hard to carry out, for Atsushi’s answer might delight or crush him completely. But if he didn’t act then he would never know. Even Rashoumon at the back of Akutagawa’s mind knew that, persistently growled and urged him on.
Akutagawa made his decision.
He would ask Atsushi. Whatever the answer was, Akutagawa would accept it.
And who knew? From the clues Atsushi gave away, there’s high chance that his answer was what Akutagawa wanted to hear.
Notes: The first fanfic for shin soukoku! Woo! But I should have typed it at an earlier hour, not god forsaken 1:30 am. The vampirism in this fic is my own mix, belonging to a world setting I have.
I will think of a title later, as well as post this on AO3. If you have anything to say about this, don’t hesitate, please.
