Heart scene

I think when they are both in the heart, after Anne run away and gil follow, that shot show that they both now really in love and that this love is now really important in the full story. They are both in the center of a freaking heart for god sake. That kind of cinematograpgy that obvious is not here for nothing.

PS: I love how gil almost follow Her, he take one step forward (get in the Center of the heart) and then decide to stay put. Love it. Means a lot.

I was friends with a self proclaimed film nerd and he had this deep hatred for films that chose to shoot in black and white because he thought everyone unanimously praised them because they were immediately thought to be more serious and dramatic

No sir the cinematographer chose that filter since their world is drained of all color and life to such a strong degree, that to us it would be like loosing a whole aspect of our senses you just don’t like it when creatives help their audience understand the message
