I wanted my dress to glow brighter green whenever I moved (ramming speed!), so I planned each piece to use an #arduino. The headpiece and each #nautilus window had a #circuitplayground in it for custom motion-controlled lights. For my project I used the Circuit Playground and an HC-05 to send accelerometer and touch data over bluetooth to my computer where I port it into processing and then translate it into visuals. 

The inspiration for this piece came from a lot of the work of Onyx Ashanti and his sort of belief that everyone has a sort of natural rhythm at their core. To this effect, I wanted to make my device fit as many hands as possible, which is why it is not mounted on a glove, but rather a custom mounting I made from leather.

All of the code, both processing and arduino, was written by me from scratch in order to make sure that I understood the pieces I am working with from the bottom up.

Quick and easy DIY camera ring light. Best thing about this is you're not stuck with it attached to your camera so you can move the light around. I'm going to add some potentiometers so color and intensity can be adjusted on the fly. And now the moment no of you have been waiting for.. I present the 11 wonder of the world. The amazing and highly borderline #Ilikeit and #wtf #electronics project kits. Digging deep I was able to scrounge up enough #pla and #3Dprinting time to make these models. There is the #adafruit #circuitplayground. The #raspberrypi #zero I2C to the #arduino. The obsolete china knockoff but better then a 8266 single chip D1 wifi arduino. And also the multifunctional breadboard externally mounted for your viewing pleasure. As you can see there is a #makers required rubber bands holding each together. We are positive this the best maker method for beginners. Why build something and the lose your one #microcontoller to a kit. Stay flexible with my new slide-2-fit design. All unit have been designed and redesigned and then designed again. I guess what I'm saying it.. it's the perfect train wreck for any new maker young or old. Look around and let see what try of respond I get back. I'm open to hearing what you think. Remember these will never go into space. They are like the pet rock but you get to code he crap out of it. I have shown the power of ssh to another raspberrypi. Requesting to turn on a fan via gpio. Unheard of and awesome at the same time you are discovering how to be a maker. Circuit Playground connected to USB

Learned something else new while checking the schematic for the Adafruit Circuit playground. There’s a diode in the circuit to prevent backfeeding of power from a different source. That means I can hook this device up to a computer while it is running off of a power source and not worry about frying my usb port. Arduino Unos however do not have this diode so connecting this to a source that would draw too much power would ruin your usb port. S boe careful when connecting things to your USB port and check the power distribution schematics first before you go plugging things in.
