Vanilla perfumes for all vanilla lovers. This note is sweet, warm, sensual, and definitely a reliable crowd pleaser. It’s good to have a few vanillas in your collection as they make great choices to use as a base for layering with other fragrances even if you don’t want to wear a vanilla on it’s own.

✨Literally ANY perfume by the brand “La Maison De La Vanille.” If it wasn’t already obvious in the name, vanilla is their entire focus. ✨
I spent years looking at Alien online. I had never smelled it, but the name and bottle design pulled me in. The notes didn't particularly appeal to me, but I just... Couldn't stay away. When I finally got my hands on a sample it was a done deal.
I never had the opportunity to smell the original formula. I often wonder what I missed out on. If this version is so lovely, how could the older juice be even better?
Regardless, Alien and Aura dragged me into the world of Mugler and I'm hooked. Most days, I'm wearing something from this house.
Hello! Welcome to the brand new Hesperides fragrance blog. Here I will be reviewing some fragrances and samples I own.
For the first fragrance review, I have My Way Floral by Giorgio Armani. It was launched in 2022, and the noses behind it are Carlos Benaim and Pascal Gaurin.
My Way Floral is a fruity, citrus scent with notes of green mandarin, orange blossom, tuberose, neroli, and musk. Upon spraying it you get a blast of juicy, sweet orange, with a hint of bubblegum from the tuberose. Overall, it reminds me of a fruit bubble tea in the summer.
This is my current favourite spring scent, as it's great for the warmer months. It's not a complex or confusing scent, nor does it feel simple or generic. The citrus from the neroli gives freshness and youth to the original My Way DNA without hiding the tuberose or smelling like cleaning products. However, the tuberose is much more prominent in the original My Way. As someone who is hit-and-miss with tuberose, I gravitate more toward My Way Floral, so this may be something of interest to those like me.
Moving on to the bottle design, I always love frosted glass as it reminds me of cool summer drinks. All the My Way flankers have similar bottles, but I think the frosted glass matches the freshness of the scent really nicely.

Something that I'd like to try with this blog is to give a song with each fragrance.
The song for this scent is SunKissing by Hailee Steinfeld.

If you are looking for a new scent this summer, I hope this helped! Watch out for more to come, as I'll try to post 3 times a week. In the meantime, let me know if there are any scents you would like me to try! Based on where I live, it's a little difficult to get access to niche or indie scents, but I will try my best.
I like smelling weird things. Scents that are more conceptual than wearable are not a problem, but even I meet my match. Enter Red Hoba which officially weaned me off blind buys. It's interesting to review this one after Dunhill Egyptian Smoke because to the extent that papyrus is quintessentially Egyptian, these offer very different interpretations. Red Hoba is part of Xerjoff's Shooting Stars series but there are no embers in this meteor. It is a cold rock buried in the earth, a warning sign of destruction. (The other warning sign is Red Hoba's almost €400 price, but I digress.) Evelyn O'Connell played by Rachel Weisz in the Mummy perfectly symbolizes this scent. As a character, she bridges intellectual and sensuous, male and female, past and present. Also as half British and half Egyptian her presence attempts to reconcile and justify the colonizer and the exploited. Disembodied and unisex, Red Hoba seems to hold many of the same tensions. Described as gourmand, but beyond a faint opening of dried fruit, Red Hoba is primarily the scent of wet leather-bound parchment and dust which seems fitting for our Egyptologist Evelyn. In this way, Red Hoba's papyrus note is hyperrealistic. Combined with iris, it is a papery powdery ode to mold and must with very faint hints of jasmine and sandalwood in the background. There is a very mysterious, ancient and even ominous quality to Red Hoba that hints of myths and things buried in sand. However it is ultimately unpleasant. It is a watery facsimile of Egypt– diluted, bastardized, othered. A colonialist fantasy in love with death and excavation versus the red blooded present. I will take Dunhill's bright impressionistic stroke any day over this caricature. -------------------------------------- #niche #nichefragrance #perfumista #instaperfume #perfume #fragrance #perfumereview #leather #smoke #spicy #woody #gourmand #luxury #luxuryperfume #edp #instaperfume #sotd #woody #olfactoryart #Xerjoff https://www.instagram.com/p/CdQ6VhaOE3S/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
